I'm reading all your varying ideas for looking and feeling young! I'm 62 and have been told I look in my early 40s. As people have said there isn't an easy option it does take concentration and care.

I have recently discovered acupressure which along with losing weight with Paul Mckenna has changed my health and body shape wonderfully. There are massages to help thyroidal problems and facial looseness. I use organic and essential oils for body and facial moisturisation and for oil pulling (which I first found left me thirsty so I now drink a good glass of filtered water before doing it in the morning).

Also, I think this is most important, I follow my blood type way of eating by Dr Peter D'Adamo. It's fascinating because it gives answers to different people's experiences with varying foods. E. G. if you're an O type you should eat red meat (not pork no one should eat pork) and tomatoes give me, I'm an A type, eczema but they're good for O types.

The blood type shows why a lot of people are NOT good with ACV or rhodiola (which is brilliant for O's though). I could go on but suffice to say it can cure a lot problems like arthritis etc. I'm not on any medication but I take some herbal supplements. I have no health problems.

Hi Robyn, There is no transcript of this particular interview that I know of. But, if you need to stay away from electricals, you can go to the bookstore and get her book "The Baby Boomer Diet" which are the subjects she was covering in this talk. She also has a book called "The Body Ecology Diet" which was her first. I have given several of these away to friends. The first one I have for myself and now use it to refer to. That was the book that spurred me into action to search for stem cell therapy.

Another point is, her manufacturing plant is in Australia, though I don't know where it is exactly, so she travels there quite often. You might want to keep an eye out because she may make appearances in your area to speak. She travels all over the world teaching about health. I have seen her speak several times and she always has new and information I can learn more from. Hope this helps, Lisa

I want to share with you a real help for older looking skin. Drink lemonade. Watch how your pores will reduce, skin tightens up and at the same time your skin stays soft and not too dry with elastin. I have tried so many different things and if they help fine, but this is one that I have learned I can incorporate into any regimen and it is the best toner you can do for the skin. Drink it if you are an older woman in particular. It is also excellent for killing off the feeling of a cold or canker sore. Youll thank yourself drinking lemonade. many other benefits, but for LOOKS its the one. Happy aging!!!!!!!!!!! Birdy

Hi Lynne, I bought a book called "Eva Fraser's Facial workout" but I find the exercises quite difficult so I just gave up. I just don't seem to find the right muscles! Is "Ageless if you dare" also a book? I might give it a try..... Being 53 I would also like to keep my face in good shape.

Two months passed by quickly.. Exercise in the morning, Eating only when I am hungry.. Past Oct. My BD.. Now on my 84th year.. Body seems to like what I am giving it.. My blood pressure was a little high.. was 156/76..now 131/65.. going into the correct direction.. Still taking PP. ULTIMATE HA 100gr day. The book I am reading on HA- Tell me I will not notice the repair of my bad joint.. But they are getting repaired slowly and will last long time. Long as they do not hurt ok with me. When we are born lots of HA in our body.. So I feel I should replace Daily. But my skin looks good, hair turning seems like too slow to black, barnicles of aging disappearing slowly, ones that are still there the banana skin takes care of them.

Been retired in Thailand two years now.. One month ago ran out of my Vitamins that I brought with me.. Now I am using.. Its amazing.. There is a change.. Energy mostly.. I am taking PP-OmegaBerry with Vit D, Acai, Resveratrol and other good stuff, pill taste like berry going down. Also PP-Perfect Multi Super Greens.. I cannot get over it.. Just loaded with good stuff for the system. Cut my pill consumption from 30 to 9 pills daily.. PP products are loaded with all the good stuff we need.. Yes I can go to the Powered Stuff purchased in Bulk, mix myself.. But always a question in my mind.. Did I mix too much or too little.. So that why I am staying with PP. Products. Everytime I call them.. They give me an answer.. But other Vit. Places you call, you never get an answer as If THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING.

Still on the cinamin/honey mixture.. For my sweet tooth.. ACV is a basic in my house hold. ACV does alot.. And Cancer stays away.. A little tomato juice from time to time. Messages now and then- Stand on the Vibrating macnine for 10 min. 4 times per week.. 3 times a week.. 5 min. Wakes up everything. The way I feel, which is Great.. My Body keeps telling me, That I am doing the right thing. Never sick, no colds, lots of energy, no arthritic pain. That its.. Your are what you eat and put into your mouth.. Health worth more than money.

See you ALL in 2 months or so. A Big Hug to you all, Alfred

Neck Massage With Castor Oil
Posted by Lee (New York, New York, New York) on 09/16/2009

I couldn't agree more. The neck is everything. I have a friend who had a face lift - her neck gives it all away. Can't wait to hear how you do with caster oil. Good luck!

Neck Massage With Castor Oil
Posted by Lisa (Thousand Oaks, Ca, USA) on 09/19/2009

Someone in the latest posts wrote about their oil pulling and how they could not get beyond 5 minutes. They asked for suggestions but when I scrolled back up to search for it, it was gone. Anyway, I too had the hardest time the first couple times I tried so was discouraged and didn't take it up until 6 months later desperate to finding something to relieve my hip pain. One day on this site reading the oil pulling testimonials, I thought I'm a fool for not giving this a chance and started again determined to make it work. Well, I have not given it up because the results were miraculous for me. I have been doing it steadily now for about 2 months. What I do is oil pull first thing in the morning while I read email, garden, play a game, surf the internet, read Earth Clinic, etc. Getting your mind off it really helps. I found that if I focused on the oil pulling I have the urge to gag and spit it out. Hope this helps. Keep at it though, it's worth it- at least in my experience.

EC: Found the post you were referring to!

Hey, im 30 and I use castor oil nightly, and its fabulous. It literally gives a glow to the skin, but it is oily, so usually what I do is, after liberally applying it, I moisten a towel and lightly wipe the excess off. Thats all you can do, as it will get all over your pillow otherwise.

Melatonin

I have found that Melatonin, besides being an excellent sleep aid, is also an excellent Anti-Aging agent. The reason for this is that Melatonin, along with vitamin C and E, is an antioxidant and prevents oxidative damage. Melatonin influences our biological clock, affecting the way we age, and controls sleep patterns. Melatonin levels drop as we age, which may explain why sleep patterns change.

I used to take ACV and get very constipated too. I read that this happens to some people and the remedy is to add about 1/4 tsp of baking soda to the acv. This helped me but I get dizzy also so I stopped. I preferred the taste without the baking soda.

Fountain of Youth:

I sometimes take ALA (alpha lipoic acid) along with a teaspoon of Omega 3 oil just before bed. I take half of a 300mg ALA time released tab.
I experience a better dream state, and calmer mind..(less inflammation)

Taking it with the oil may help it's effects on the brain. (a full dose of 300mg seems too much, you should experiment. Some have reported muscle cramps
with ALA, and yes, I have noticed this too...make sure you are getting your magnesium, potassium. etc.

(re: omega oils, prefer brands that are distilled, with Thyme oil to protect)

also

...lots of water, the EC suggestion of 2tsp ACV sipped throughout the day is great..

Lots of color in the diet, small meals, low glycemic foods, turmeric! & anti inflammatory herbs...develop close relationships..(never show up to an invitation empty handed).

Three older people told me at different times about ACV drink for make the urine and body more alkaline, which promotes health and as a healthy remedy daily. Another older woman in her 80's also used this drink. They all lived a long and full lifes.

A mix of equal parts: honey (raw, unfiltered best except for babies), organic apple cider vinegar, and filtered water. Several TBL's can be added to a 8 oz. glass of water and taken twice a day or more often for illness or UTI. The honey makes the ACV much more palatable and adds needed nutrients and electolytes. This is also good for upset stomachs or nausea, sipping small sips as able.

Joy's Remedies

I forgot to mention that I just started taking Lugol's oil (iodine)...a couple of drops every day or so. If you look at the "iodine remedy" on earthclinic or google "the health benefits of iodine," you will find very important/interesting info--including at YouTube.

I also just started taking Magnesium Oil (topical Magnesium). I read a couple of books on the importance of Magnesium. One book was called, "The Magnesium Miracle," another was: "The Magnesium Factor," and another "The Calicum Lie." Again, if you Google, "The health benefits of Magnesium," you will find very interesting info. Or if you go to Amazon.com and type in magnesium. You just spray a little on parts of your body: legs, arms, torso, etc. every day or so. Supposedly, Magnesium applied topically in the form of Magnesium oil is better absorbed...and supposedly, there are many health benefits. But be sure to educate yourself.

Interesting, I will be reading more into magnesium. I wonder if that is why I always feel better when I regularly take epsom salt baths. Maybe I will try magnesium oil and see if that works too. But I have read that is will act as a laxitive if too much is used.

May the ACV be off the shelf from any local grocer or must it be organic from a local health food outlet?

EC: Organic is always better, but some readers report great results with the cheap stuff.

Hi, Ive tried using apple cider vinegar. I drank 1 tbsp in a 6 oz glass of water, the taste alone made my mouth water and I almost got sick from it. That night I awoke throwing it all up. Is there any other way I can drink it without my stomach getting so upset?

I have a question about apple cider vinegar. Will the pill form be just as effective? I have trouble with the taste. Also in keeping candida in check vinegar in general is usually something to avoid. Is this an exception just as lemons and limes are? Linda

Is there a food chart of the foods to eat to make sure you get the proteins and nutrients that is needed? Please advise on where to get more info on raw foods. Thanks

Vitamin E

I was very curious to see vitamin E listed as a remedy on your anti-aging page. I feel very strongly that vitamin e is essential for women as they age. I know it helps me with hormonal fluctations and I notice that I have more vitality on the days when I take it. I have taken E off and on for at about 15 years and am now in my early forties. It's been great as a pms remedy and an after-menstrual-cycle-is-over remedy. I was trying to find out good dosages for E and came across an article that Vit E might act as a substitute for estrogen, which is why it is suggested for menopausal symptoms like hot flashes. Has anyone been taking vitamin E for perimenopause or menopause? Thanks.

Dear Sirs, I am 58 and could pass for 40. My face is very youthful looking. I have very few wrinkles and have had no blemishes for years. My diet has been make up of as many raw foods as I can. I eat a steady diet of raw organic nuts and seeds. There is a great web site, tierrafarms.com, that I purchase them from. In addition I never wash my face with soap only with warm clean water. I use an oil after shaving called Squalane, oil from sharks I believe. I have for years put on a moistureizing lotion each morning after my morning bath. Hope this can be of help to some of you out there.

Goji Juice

I take a number of different natural products to stay healthy.

I'm a grandma in my mid 40s and have the energy to keep up with my 2 year old grandson. People always mistake him as my own.
They also mistake my son for my brother.

My husband and I both drink Goji juice. We've been taking 2-4 ounces 2-3 times a day.

It has helped in several ways. My blood pressure was a little high, at the borderline level. It is now down well within normal.

I've discovered that the flexibility in my neck and legs has improved.

I sleep more soundly (and my dreams are much more colorful and strange, heh).

The best results I've seen however have been in my complexion. It has cleared up a lot of my adult acne and my skin is healthier. I LOOK YOUNGER!

My husband and I often meet couples younger than us ... who believe we are younger than they are.

I have actually been called "Miss" lately!!

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by Joyce (Joelton, Tn) on 09/23/2008 495 posts

Response to Janice: I think your error is in picking out one chemical alone and ignoring all the other fail-safe chemicals that our creator put into this plant. Most plants (even the non-hybrids) have a few harmful chemicals but other chemicals included in them make them safe to eat or take as herbal remedies. Hence my pokeweed berries that are supposed to be poison, but 40 years past first beginning to appreciate their good qualities, I have nothing but good to say about them although they are supposed to be poison.

The below info on flax seed oil comes from the Federal Government's Data Base on plants compiled by James Duke, PHD. This is only a small part of information on chemicals in flax & their actions.

I also wrote down some of the chemicals found in flax seed:

acetic acid 3,105 - 3,853 ppm (ACV is 5% actic acid)
alanine - antioxidant, cancer preventative
alpha linoleic acid l08,000 228,000 ppm
magnesium 3,715 -7,002 ppm
tocopherol 57 ppm (Vit E)
tryptophan, lysine, and other amino acids

I can also add that I have taken quite a bit of flax seed oil without any harm or unwanted side effects. Jim Duke's book "The Green Pharmacy" also includes flax seed and flax seed oil.

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by Gem (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) on 07/30/2009

Flaxseed oil is used to make linolium {lino used as a floor covering} Lino is oxidized linseed oil. Flaxseed/Linseed is a highly volatile oil (oxidises easily). If you must use it, only buy cold pressed oil in a dark bottle and store it in your refrigerator. Throw out any unused linseed oil after 3 weeks. Otherwise you will just be making lino on your blood vessels. The most volatile oil of all, is canola oil. The most stable oil is coconut oil.

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by Louwrence (Rustenburg, North West South Africa) on 01/30/2012

Hi Spring, Flaxseed is very high in phytoestrogen even higher than soya 3x, and estrogen dominance leads to a lot of problems in both men & women. Somebody in Canada analyzed the estrogen content of of foods. A lot of pesticides & virtually all plastic contains estrogens so we are are bombarded with estrogens because soya is just about in every product & camouflaged with very fancy names to confuse you.

Water

After reading Dr. Batman's findings and the transcript of his interview, I immediately got into Water Therapy. After I began to drink 2 liters of water a day with about a teaspoon of added crystal sea salt (non refined), I found that on the 3rd day my skin felt soft and supple. I shower in hot water (not warm) on cold mornings and that used to dry my skin to the point of terrible itchiness all over the body including my butts and I either had to satisfy myself (satisfaction = a scratch for every itch) or I hade to apply mosturizing cream all over my body. I could see dry dead cells fall of my chest and abdomen area every time I removed my banian or T-Shirt.

I no longer have any visible dry and/or flaky skin and the skin feels smooth & supple. My butts feel very soft to the touch. My skin now glows and is radiant. I guess I am done with moisturizers (no more of harmful chemicals to be rubbed on my skin). Also, I sleep better at night.
