Cayenne Tips

I have had much success with taking two teaspoons of cayenne pepper in a small cup of juice or beer (beer works really well--just about 3 ounces of it! ) but I have had unbearably bad side effects with cayenne *capsules*.

About 15-20 minutes after taking the capsules I get terrible, sharp stomach pains, cramps, and gas that last for a good 30 minutes and have me doubled over in pain. It feels like I swallowed a bomb!

I have read that cayenne should always be taken straight because digestion begins in the mouth, and the sharp spicy taste prepares the stomach to receive the pepper. For those fearful of the spicy taste, I vouch that I have a low "spicy-tolerance" and that when shooting the cayenne in a couple of ounces of liquid, the spiciness only lasts for 20-30 seconds and disappears completely. Not at all that lingering, intolerable burning we all know from eating Mexican food! Plus, drinking it straight gives you a pleasant head-rush and wave of energy. Cheers!

Cayenne Pepper suggestion: I started using cayenne for weight loss but love the way I immediately feel energized when I take it. I like covering it with cottage cheese but have stumbled across another way to take them by making my own cayenne pills. I bought empty Gelatin Capsules at a health food store and filled them with cayenne. The easiest way I found was to line up capsules on painters tape then, put another piece of painters tape on top of the capsules. This will keep them straight but you can fold them. Hold them over a pyrex dish and pour the cayenne all over them. You can tap them down several times and pour more until they are full. It's pretty easy to get the tops of the capsules on and beats trying to fill one at a time. Watch out for breathing the dust. You might want to use gloves or just be careful to keep your hands washed between working with the capsules.

Cysts

I'm 52 years old and had Pilonidal cyst for years, didn't get the recommended surgery. I began taking the B Vitamin complex vitamins for more energy and vitality, I noticed that my Pilonidal cysts disappeared and stayed gone for 15 years because I love the B vitamins and always take them. Now after not having a cyst for 15 years it came back when I was diagonosed with Diabetes. At the health food store I was told the medicine I was taking for diabetes depletes your body of the B vitamins, so I increased my B vitamins, particulary B 6 and sure enough no more Pilonidal cysts!

Cayenne is a life-saver.....I take it everyday and will continue to take it for energy and detox purposes. There is no better blood purifier than cayenne. It cleans your arteries, lowers cholesterol and improves overall health of anyone who takes it. Combined with a vegan diet you can virtually eliminate disease.

I had pain for years in my bones a month ago before I started to take cayenne pepper capsules and I now am pain free. I continue to take 1 capsule per day. It's nice to be pain free.

I started off with 2 daily then I increased the dose 1 per day until I reached 5 i stayed at 5 a day for a week. Then I decreased then to 1. This works well on the heart, diabetes, and diverticolosis which I have. A big improvement.

Oh, 400 gram capsules they were.

Cayenne Pepper for clogged ear

Hi, recently I was experimenting on ways to get rid of an allergy so I tried snorting cayenne pepper up my nose to see if that works, I did this yesterday so im not sure yet however today when I was exercising at the gym I felt my right ear slowly popping and could start to feel the air coming freely through my ear! It had been clogged up for months and finally it feels so good! I use to use the eardrops the doctor gave me but they didnt work so I just left it alone and forgot about it. I reckon it was the cayenne because I only snorted through my right nostril and only my right ear freed up.

Cayenne Vs. Chili Peppers
Posted by Blanche (New Iberia, Louisiana) on 01/05/2010

I'm not Ted, I hope it's OK to post an answer.Where I live we grow a lot of hot peppers, even in our home gardens. The tabasco pepper is a very small pepper, used commercially to make Tabasco sauce. The cayenne that we grow is larger (up to about 6 inches long. The cayenne is used mainly to make ground red pepper for seasoning. It is the one used in Cajun seasoning, and is used to season just about all our food before cooking.

Wikipedia states that the cayenne is related to the jalapenos, the bell peppers, and other peppers.

It is possible that any of the hot peppers that is grown wherever one lives will work as well as cayenne pepper. I would certainly try whatever I had on hand if I were you. (And let us know.)

I had a gash on my palm and it was a bleeder. I knew of the Cayenne paste cure and tried it.I used aprox 3 tablespoons and made a paste after cleaning the wound with peroxide. I made a tight bandage of gauze and left it alone for at least two days before I checked the wound. I removed my bandage very slowly so as not to disturb the caked on cayenne powder. It was much better and I re-wrapped the wound after more cayenne. I added tape to the fresh gauze covering and went three more days and it was almost completely healed and the scar is almost non visible today.

Hi Carol,

You were saying that your husband was using cayenne pepper to lose weight. Did he succeed and is he still taking it?

Also I have a question for everybody: Does the cayenne pepper have to be a particular kind? I see someone wrote that he is taking 100000 heat, what does that mean? Thank you

P.S. I have been drinking apple cider vinegar and it has totally cured my arthritis. Miracle site, thank you everyone.

Hello All,

I just would like to share with you an information I recently found on the internet. I am frequently suffering from inflamed and receding gums. I have started to use plain powdered cayenne for toothbrushing about two weeks ago. For me it works wonders as the gums are getting firmer each day and they look now healthy pink instead of dark red. Yes it will burn for a couple of minutes but the results are really convincing. Just do the oilpulling after brushing your teeth and the burning will subside very fast as the oil seems to take it away. Furthermore you will experience no more bad breath in the morning. I hope, this will help somebody else too.

Thank you earthclinic for the great website!

Kind Regards,
Alice

I tried so many things to overcome my candida infection but the single most effective thing I tried was drinking a few dashes of cayenne pepper powder in a beverage. Vitamin and probiotic supplementation also helped some. It also relieved my depression/fog, fatigue, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, yeasty body odor, itching, allergies, anxiety, high blood pressure, "blurred" vision, generalized muscle pain and spasms.

Kidney help

Years ago, in 1998 my son was sent home from the hospital, on a friday, after one week, with a very swollen abdomen and swelling in his ankles. He has had a disease called Nephrotic Syndrome since he was fifteen, and he was then twenty-four. At that time he had been hospitalized over forty times for this awful disease. This hospital that had had him for a patient for nearly ten years, lost his medical file!

So my son told this new doctor that when he is in a swollen state that Lasix in pill form will not make him urinate. He told him that the only treatment that would get the fluid off of him at that point was lasix given intraveinously. Well, the doctor refused and kept on trying to give him pills.

When I told the patient advocate about the problem the doctor sent my son home the next day with about two gallons of excess water still inside him. He was unable to urinate more than an inch of urine that contained blood and pus. Well, I made him a bed on my couch and tried to make him as comfortable as I could. I knew that it would be nearly impossible to find a kidney specialist on the week-end. So I went in my bedroom and closed the door and laid across my bed and cried and cried. And then I remembered something I had read in a little book titled: '10 Top Herbs to cure big diseases'

It said that cayenne pepper unblocks any blockage! So I thought to myself it is worth a try. I looked in my kitchen cabinet and I had it in my spices. I thought I would put some in soup, and then I told myself 'No' because that is just more liquid in him he doesn't need right now. So I dumped out some big capsules and filled up four or five of them. I gave them to my son and within a four hour period he urinated three long times! After that his pills kicked in and began working!

He remained in remission for about eight years but it always flares up when he gets a cold or flu, or under to much stress.

I hope this helps.

Every winter for several years now, I would get awful nosebleeds, and they were very difficult to stop. Sometimes they would stop only to start again within a few minutes. After reading about cayenne on this site, I began to take it in a capsule, maybe three times a day. After the very first capsule, the nosebleeds never returned. These days I use 1/2 tsp of cayenne in warm water to make a tea. It's easier on my stomach and I feel its effects faster.

Cayenne Pepper For Cuts

I had a piece of loose cuticle skin on the side of my left thumbnail. One evening while watching a movie I did a stupid thing and tore it off. I tore the top two or three layers of skin off the entire side of my thumbnail leaving raw skin. I cleaned it with peroxide, put on some ointment and a bandage and forgot about it. Three weeks went by and it did not heal. Usually if I keep it pulled away from the nail it will heal up ok. But three weeks went by and now my thumb was swollen and an ugly purple color and hurt bad. I had some antibiotic on hand and after taking that I began to feel better but the ulcer had formed under the cuticle. I knew the ulcer had to be removed before the skin would heal. I got a new razor blade and every thing I would new to clean it and moved to the bathroom sink to do the operation. The cuticle was still raw, ugly and painful but it had to be done. After removing the top half of the ulcer I let it bleed out to self cleanse the wound.

Before I did the operation I went to this site to see what others had used to heal cuts and I read the post by the women who was stuck on an outpost island for two days and put cayenne pepper on her husbands severe head wound. Up to this point everything I had used, ointment, iodine, peroxide, etc, had not worked. So I went to the cupboard and got the cayenne pepper and poured a generous amount over my raw and bleeding cuticle. It absorbed into the wound and stopped the bleeding immediately. I let it set for a couple minutes then shook off the excess and lightly put a bandage over it. Over the next few hours I could feel a slight stinging in the wound but I could also tell my thumb did not hurt as bad.

The next morning my thumb did not hurt at all so I removed the bandage and discovered my thumb was a nice healthy color and not swollen at all. I could not believe it!

The cayenne pepper had form a very healthy looking closure to the wound. When I washed my hands the pepper remained so I decided to let it stay a couple days to keep the wound clean. Two days later my thumb was completely healed so I washed off the pepper and everything look nice and healthy.

From now on when I get a cut or scratch I am NOT reaching for commercial ointments or salves, I am reaching for the Cayenne Pepper.

Best Wishes for a Peaceful World,
Don

I first read about cayenne pepper online and have been using for about 3 months daily.

I take 2 capsules of 100,000 heat unit 3 times daily. I have had tingly dry feelings in my head and extremities for years and nothing had worked. CAYENNE PEPPER HAS HEALED ALL OF MY SKIN PROBLEMS.

All of the lotions and water in the world did nothing. The problem was circulation, that's why I was suffering in my extremities. I have been taking vitamins, herbs and eating right and exercising for 15 years, and by far cayenne is the most beneficial. I get an unbelievable energy rush, better than drugs because the side effect is better health, not the destruction of your body like drugs.

Also I have replaced most of my water consumption with green tea, for some reason water does not work nearly as good for me to hydrate. I have read a lot of remedies on this website, but felt like I had to tell people about cayenne. Cayenne is not a folk remedy, IT IS A CURE!!! It has not changed my life, it has saved it. I had a debilitating problem for 15 years and it is completely gone, please try!!

Last nite I cut my foot on a nail sticking out of my carpet and came straight to this website. The cayenne had lots of Yeas so it caught my attention. I cleaned the wound which was bleeding profusely with some ACV, but it still bled. So I figured why not? Stuck some cayenne and it worked like styptic powder to stop the bleeding. It was impressive to watch and I was surprised that it did not hurt/burn like I expected. It stings a bit, but very tolerable. My only mistake was removing it too early. I would say make sure you keep it on even after the bleeding stops and bandage it.

My Mother was up for a bypass about 20 years ago. She's been taking cayenne pepper for years, and she swears it's kept her alive this whole time. She has hardening of the arteries, aswell. You can use EXTRA hot or african bird pepper too, although it may kill your stomach you need to take milk or cheese with it, to coat your stomach. She eats alot of dairy and butter in her diet, and she doesn't have the healthiest diet in the world but the cayenne pepper has done wonders for her.

I just wanted to comment that I know a great way of getting the cayenne down; pour it on cottage cheese. It goes down very easily with very little burn at all! I also add chopped eggs to it sometimes just to oomph it up a bit. I guess you could also chase it with water since this seems to be the rule here.
