I used castor oil for my sons sprain, he could not put any pressure on the foot without it hurting badly. I put a castor oil wrap on it for the night and he woke up walking. It started hurting later in the day and I did the same thing and he never complained again. That all no tylonol or pain med, just castor oil on flannel with saran wrap to keep it on. I thought of this because I had tried it with my 5 yr old who had a hyperextended knee. She could not use it for a week so I finally tried a castor oil wrap. Left it on for 24hrs. And when I took it off she still wouldn't try use it, I bribed her with a trip to the store and within 20 min. She was walking. So I'm not sure if it was the castor oil or the trip to the store, up until then she would only crawl or scoot.
just wanted to let u know that castor oil works! I fell last Sunday. landed on my hand/wrist and thought 4 sure it was broken. swollen, blue, blood blisters, everything. I kept ice on it all night and when I woke up it was worse. so I went Monday morn to have it xrayed. to everyone's surprise, it was not broken so I went and bought castor oil. 5.99 and wrapped my hand before bed. i fell asleep and woke up 3 hrs later took the wrap off and to my surprise, I could open my hand all the way and had no swelling and no pain. i could nt believe it! i went and turned on the light to check for the bruising. it was still there but it looked like a week old. u know when it starts to turn brown. so I did it again the next night. and only left it on for an hour. the bruise was almost gone. and it's now Monday of the next week and you would never know that a week ago I was being xrayed for broken bones.
I posted a question last week asking about castor oil for hyperthyroid and no one answered but I'm going for it. with amazing results on my hand, i have figured I will try and let u know what happens. I have never used this before last Monday but I'm a firm believer now. thanks ec. thanks edgar cayce. thanks God!
Swollen Lymph Nodes
I am so grateful for this site! Last night I woke with a swollen lymph the size of a tennis ball and was terrified. I'm 24 and have never had something like this happen before. But, did a google search and found your site and Castor Oil recommendation. It REALLY works! I placed castor oil on the area and placed a flannel rag over it and a heat pad. This morning my lymph was still slightly swollen, but after a bath of epson salts, baking soda, and apple cider vinegar as well as eating miso soup (a very alkalizing food) I feel 100% better. I had been sick with a cold for about two weeks and these remedies seemed to cure that as well. I think it is also important to note that these remedies work really well when you have a frame of mind that supports curing yourself, by re-focusing on the things that give you joy and the things that you love, can only help you be more grateful and less focused on the thoughts that created this illness to begin with. Thank you so much!
Swollen Lymph Nodes
I tried the ACV orally plus the ACV, H202 & epsom salt bath to help reduce my son's swollen lymph nodes. I did this for 5 days and it did seem to help soften it a bit but the most improvement I've noticed was after I massaged the swollen nodes with CASTOR OIL. After applying the castor oil, I applied a piece of cloth (should be flannel), then a plastic bag then a heating pad. I also applied did the CASTOR OIL PACKS in the stomach area. This is supposedly outlined in the Edgar Cayce's readings (he was a healing psychic). There was a significant reduction in swelling (flattening) within 2 days after I started with the castor oil. If you do an internet search on castor oil for swollen lymph nodes it will give you the detailed procedure.
I have been struggling with syringomas (tiny, skin colored bumps/tumors) under my eyes for quite a few years ago. I have had them removed by a dermatologist, but they not only eventually came back, but are multiplying! I decided to try castor oil after reading about the good results some people on EC have achieved on skin tags, warts, etc. I've been using it for one week twice a day, and they are almost gone! I have also started applying it to my entire face before going to bed each night. Castor oil is amazing! I plan to try liver packs next for congestion.
She probably just applied it and left it, Castor oil is absorbed into the skin in a few minutes.
Put Organic Castor Oil on Feet after every shower/ bath will improve feet / toenails --- make them like Babies.. it is anti-fungal.
Sounds like a great idea, but please be aware of the slip factor when you apply any oil to your feet! Promptly put on socks, don't walk around in bare feet! A few years ago my mother applied oil to her feet and body after a bath and promptly slipped getting out of the tub. She cracked her head on the tile and got a nasty concussion. So please everyone be very careful when you apply oil on the feet!
I noticed a question about using caster oil with nail fungus. I have a story you might find interesting. I had read about its anti-fungal action, and when I began to notice some nail damage, I began applying caster oil twice a day. As I was about to travel and I worried about getting more damage, I went to my podiatrist. He looked at my nail and said that he was sure it was a fungal infection but that he would take a sample for testing. When I returned a month later, he checked back on the test, and was shocked to note that there was no fungus there at all. He wanted to know if I were sure that I had damaged my nail --in other words, he began to look for another reason for the nail problem. There was no other problem and no fungus! caster oil works for nail fungus prevention and most likely treatment.
I have successfully used castor oil to treat toenail fungus. My baby toenail was completely taken over by fungus. It had a black line running through it as well (another sign of fungus). I did this treatment twice per day until the nail grew out: First, I put two drops of vinegar on the nail. Then I placed a bit of cotton soaked in castor oil directly on the nail and kept it in place with a bandage. The nail is completely healthy. It's been almost two years since the treatment.
Torn Achilles Tendon
Just want to put my 2 cents about the amazing healing benefits of castor oil.
Several years ago, I had a bad UTI which I couldn't get rid of so went to the doc and was put on Cipro, which attacked my Achilles' tendons on both ankles. The pain was excruciating. Docs gave me a muscle relaxant, which did nothing. As a last resort, I had my hubby rub castor oil on my ankles several times a day. Took pain away within one day...haven't had a problem since...
I might add that I since found out there was a class-action suit against the makers of Cipro as it was causing tendon ruptures in many people. Guess I was lucky and the Castor oil healed it on me. I use it for many things, including the packs, and take it orally occasionally, but only organic cold-pressed and hexane-free.
I had a non-cancerous tumor on a salivary gland. I tried castor oil packs before surgey to no avail, but 2 weeks after surgery I had fluid build up in my neck, I had my doctor drain it and it came back. I did a castor oil pack for one hour and when woke up the next day and the fluid was gone. I have since continued the packs every other night to help me not form keliods or scar and every night I do one I see an acceleration in healing the next day.
If you're older - and, possibly, more likely female than male - you may experience difficulty "holding your water". I know it was getting harder and harder for ME but, then I started rebounding and it was easier - to HOLD it - BUT - and this is a HUGE but! I suspect it's not a matter of not being able to HOLD it.
For the past few days, I've been rubbing castor oil on my belly. I haven't done a castor oil PACK, just rubbing it on my belly. About twice a day for the past few days and something interesting has happened that has made me rethink the whole "hard to hold it" thing.
I don't think it's hard to hold. I think what's happening is something like a sudden flooding of the bladder. Why? Because, sure, I can still hold it BUT, TODAY, there's no sudden URGENCY.
Initially, I thought it was something else - as in, I didn't realize it was just a normal signal to go pee as it's been so long but, that's what it is. A NORMAL sensation of having to pee. No urgency which I suspect means no sudden flood of fluid dropped on the bladder.
I have no idea what is being "fixed" or perhaps the urgency will return, I don't know, but I don't think that's going to happen. I haven't seen any references to this with castor oil. Nor, in fact, ANY remedy so - give it a try!
Be advised that castor oil will clean you out and CAN clean you out even just by rubbing it on the belly so, either only use a little or do it on a day you don't have to leave the house until you're flushed out. It's not as bad as the result of having to choke down a big ol' "grandma made me do it" spoon full of castor oil, orally - and if you're like me and always experimenting with cleanses and what not it probably won't happen - but there are plenty of herx stories about the "clearing out" of the bowels and other housekeeping effects.
Thought it might be a fluke but, day 5 and still NORMAL!!! The Belly Rub of Happiness!! Yeah!!
Day 7 - coughing fit - coughed up a lot of phlegm from the lungs that I didn't even realize I had. I had sinus issues after covid and some other sort of "thing" about a month after that went straight to the chest after madly working to keep covid from going down into the chest. Expelled a large amount of clear phlegm with no sign of infection but I hadn't even realized I still had "stuff" in the chest. Probably because I was focused on a quite significant form of all-over muscle weakness that went on for almost a year after covid. Until I started rebounding.
Anyway, kind of sore from a LOT of coughing but my lungs and throat are very..."open" so...interesting.
Also had "activity" in the lower left quadrant of the abdomen, which was interesting. Possibly an adhesion dissolving but, of course, I have no way of knowing. Another "issue" I didn't know I had, apparently.
Aside from the hydration - 8 oz every two waking hours - the "Belly Rub of Happiness" 2 or 3 times per day, a little castor oil on a couple of itchy spots, a bug bite of some sort and a spot on my arm that was like a new mole that turned black, then a larger, ugly dead-looking gray but is now pink - no idea what it was - but the castor oil and hydration is all I've been doing so...interesting results.
Oh! And when I started rebounding, it cleared up edema in my lower legs except for two "knots", one on the outside of each leg, a couple inches above the ankle. I would guess it's swollen lymph nodes, possibly "clogged" or something but they've been changing as well. The one on the left is smaller and the one on the right was flat, this morning, so I figured I'd rub some castor oil in while it as flat and was able to detect a small lump so, perhaps applying castor oil while it's flat, in the mornings, will help that along. We'll see. The rebounding didn't seem to be shifting it but maybe it's just a slower process.
And here I was, thinking I didn't have any "real" issues! Very interesting...I suspect the mole on my arm may have been a skin cancer and God only knows what the swollen knots on my leg are...no idea what the gut activity was but it's gone for now.
Can't wait to see what happens next!
Interesting little side note for Day 8 -
The normal urge to pee takes some getting used to after years/decades of the old-lady URGENT need to pee. The contrast between the two is profound. It's an entirely different sensation. If you get busy or focused on something, you may be inclined to think you don't need to go now and put it off but NORMAL urgency from putting it off, though EQUALLY urgent, is completely different than the old-lady URGENT urgency. There IS no more dramatic URGENT urgency but that doesn't mean you don't need to pee. If that makes sense. My point is, don't wait because the urgency you're accustomed to isn't going to happen and if you wait for it, it'll simply be too late, ROFL! You may have to re-potty-train yourself.
Day 9 strangeness.
I've been applying the castor oil to my eyelids and it does seem to improve my vision, almost instantly, if only temporarily.
That said, last night I noticed something strange. I was awakened by a sound but didn't open my eyes. I assumed it was thunder and the power was out because it was so dark BUT I simply had my eyes closed and when I opened them, the neighbor's new and annoyingly bright outdoor lights were shining in the window like always. So I kept opening and closing my eyes and with them closed, it was pitch black which I don't believe I've ever experienced before. Even now, in the daylight, when I close my eyes it's so dark there's barely any difference between simply closing my eyes and closing and covering them. Weird - but COOL!
I bought a sleep mask but don't like wearing it so I'd just been pulling the sheet up to cover my eyes but it no longer appears to be necessary.
I haven't seen that mentioned in any of the reports, boos, case studies or papers I've been reading so just thought I'd put that out there. Perhaps others have experienced the same thing and not noticed? I don't know. Interesting.
Ok...I have found your posts so interesting...any more info on your Castor Oil Trials?
Vaginal Cervix Scar Tissue
I have a history of surgery in the abdominal area (appendectomy, oopherectomy of left ovary) and vaginally (conization, other). Bottom line is that I have lots of abdominal adhesions and the os of my cervix is scarred over.
The adhesions are the reason I had the left ovary removed and they are adhered to my bowel as well, causing what is called a tortuous colon. I have used castor oil to eliminate some of the abdominal adhesions. I have experienced the release of some of these adhesions as others have described.
The scarred-over os is a recent discovery through a pelvic exam and the ob/gyn is already talking about a total hysterectomy since we can't monitor what's going on in the uterus AND there is no ability for the uterus to perform its normal drainage function.
As I see it, a vaginal hysterectomy is out of the question because it isn't possible to know where the adhesions have connected to surrounding tissue.
A laproscopically performed surgery is out of the question because previous attempts have shown that there is so much of this scar tissue it's impossible to tell what's on the other side of any particular adhesion (I actually have a video of the last laproscopy showing this.)
That leaves abdominal surgery as about the only option and one that seems bound to only make things worse in the long run for all of the obvious reasons as indicated by the previous outcomes PLUS I won't have a uterus, fallopian tubes, ovary, or cervix.
In addition, I am awaiting a biopsy on cervical tissue. Presence of HPV is confirmed, I'll know more about the biopsy soon.
In addition to doing some further abdominal application of castor oil packs, I am considering using castor oil vaginally to see if I can break up the scar tissue on the cervix to open up the os and restore access to the uterus. My question is what might be the best way to do this. I am particularly concerned because however it is applied internally in this sensitive area, it is not likely to facilitate the preference I see for applying for a few days and then not applying for a few days. Once its in there, its in there. Also, how to best apply - perhaps a saturated tampon? a syringe of some sort?
I'd appreciate any ideas and or feedback you might have. My goal is to either 1) improve this condition and avoid surgery all together, or 2) provide the best possible circumstances for a good outcome should surgery prove unavoidable.
Thank you in advance for your wisdom-sharing.
I have had 5 abdominal surgeries and scar tissue from it as well. You have my sympathies!
You can get castor oil in a gel cap. You could then just insert that vaginally each night to get the castor oil to the os. And regarding your concern that once the castor oil is there, it is there--well, it will absorb into the tissue. I use castor oil on my face at night. By morning it is all absorbed. So you could do this 4 nights in a row and take 3 nights off.

Research serrapeptase and its use for internal scaring and unblocking Fallopian tubes people report 6 months to fix taking high doses. Hope that helps along with the castor oil, helped with people infertility too.
Castor oil works like magic for vaginal itching. Simply wash and clean the area and apply castor oil liberally. The itching stops immediately and if it recurs apply again.... In a day or so the itching disappears altogether! :-)
I had vaginal polyps that were causing a large amount of bleeding during and/or immediately after intercourse which was very disconcerting. I did not visit a doctor as I'm rather disenchanted with allopathic doctors and figured I would try natural treatments first..for whatever this growth was. Research led me to either polyps or fibroids...I'm assuming it was polyps.
I did a castor oil pack for 3 nights in a row...I slept with them actually...and would take them off sometime in the middle of the night in my sleep stupor.
I never bled ever again during intercourse and that was 3 years ago (I never had to repeat them either) . My lower belly also went down in size. Pretty amazing stuff.
Thank you sooooo much for posting this and I am so glad I found this! My recent pap has revealed a vaginal polyp to add to my abundance of lumps and bumps my body is making! I am trying frankincense and myrrh for the breast lumps but wasn't sure what to do for the fibroids in the bottom half. You have given me hope I can do this hopefully before the specialist.
I had great success with castor oil and baking soda. I believe it is an old Edgar Cayce remedy? You add enough castor oil to baking soda so that it makes a thick paste (to where you can roll it into a little ball like gum) and put it on the wart. Cover with bandaid. It took me probably a month or so for it to work, but I was not religious about appplying it every day. Sometimes I would forget for a few days.
About the last week (when I could see that it seemed to be dying) I got serious and applied it every day. I think if I had applied it around the clock (instead of just for 8 or 12 hours) it would have disappeared much quicker. I had had that wart for about 10 years (between my toes). I had tried just about everything- over the counter and a foot doctor. I thought that wart and I were going to grow old and die together! After 10 years I was so thrilled to finally be rid of it!
