Hello Ted, I was reading your remedies for hair loss and use of Maganese Sulfate. I couldn't find it @ Vitaminshoppe, they had all other kind of Maganese but not sulfate. Also, on the internet I read that Maganese Sulfate is harmful if swallowed.
["Inhalation: Inhalation can cause a flu-like illness (metal fume fever). This 24- to 48-hour illness is characterized by chills, fever, aching muscles, dryness in the mouth and throat and headache. May irritate the respiratory tract. May increase the incidence of upper respiratory infections (pneumonia). Absorption of inorganic manganese salts through the lungs is poor but may occur in chronic poisoning.
Ingestion:
May cause abdominal pain and nausea. Although they are poorly absorbed through the intestines, inorganic manganese salts may produce hypoglycemia and decreased calcium blood levels should absorption occur.
Skin Contact:

Eye Contact:

Are you talking about something else? Please reply as I have thining hair (female) and like to try your remedies.Thank you.
Grass Oil

I also googled this every way possible and cannot find any information. I wanted to bring back up the subject to see if anyone else knows, where this grass oil can be purchased or if it can be made.
It's weird, how some people post here and you never hear from them again.
EC: Yep, we googled this extensively too. We're guessing it's lemongrass oil. If you google "lemongrass for hair loss" you will see it mentioned on several websites.

Hair Loss From Hypothyroidism
Posted by Raja (Brampton, Ontario/canada) on 09/01/2009
Hi, I am 37 years old. I started losing hair at age 20. Lost most of it due to hypothyroidism. Now I eat a well balanced diet and take thyroid medication. I have started seeing little thin hair, but they don't grow more than that. Is there any thing I can use to increase the blood circulation and thicken these thin hair. And will I ever have full head of hair again? Plz. help.

Biotin
Posted by Johnn (Toronto, Ont, Canada) on 07/23/2010
To Labrat from Burlington, Nc, Usa. If you are using regular zinc glutonate, only 15 percent of it is absorbed which means only 15 mg of the 100 mg ingested is actually absorbed by your body. Therefore 3x100 mg only nets out at 45 mg actual that your body can use per day. . Again, as I said in my other post, the extra zinc is mostly for the hair color and can probably be reduced without affecting hair growth. Regards, Johnn

Noelle: thanks for all the wonderful information you shared with your story. Coincidentally, i was just reading about red raspberry tea but was unsure if i could use it since i have both thyroid and adrenal issues. Can you let me know what you used to fix your adrenals? I really need help in this area. Thank you and God bless.

Red Raspberry Tea, Kelp

Lorraine: There should not be any reason why you can't use Red Raspberry Leaf tea. I don't think it affects the thyroid per se. It just fixes some of the problems caused by hormone imbalance, and adds minerals and B vitamins that might be depleted due to glands not functioning properly. It's the kelp that affects the thyroid and stops hair fallout cold. Raspberry Leaf grows the hair and makes it shiny.
As for my adrenal problem, it's not entirely fixed. Underlying infections can pull adrenal function down. I had a huge double abscess tooth removed last year, but I was disappointed that my energy did not increase. I seem to be carrying a virus that we cannot identify and have allergies that occasionally fog my head so much I walk into walls. (Claritin-D cuts that one right quick!) I was tested by a hematologist for everything they could think of. Allopathically, my bloodwork was normal. I ran the results by a naturopath: two indicators pointed to either parasites or low iron or both. Nobody seems to want to believe I have parasites! I'm currently using Bill Munro's H2O2 inhalation method. Its been two weeks; my energy is a little better, but I'm not seeing spectacular results yet. So . . . I'm still working on it!

K. from Maidenhead, did you notice any androgenic side effects from taking Saw Palmetto? like increased facial hair, sweating, or anything of the sort? or any other side effects? Saw palmetto is normally recommended for men, that is why I was curious.

Thank You to Noelle from Minneapolis for the advice on Red Raspberry Tea and Kelp. Just started them last week and wanted to know how long to use them. Also menopausal, and adrenals. So far the Red Raspberry seems to calm them down, more so than anything that I have tried. How is your hair growth coming along?

Help! Does anyone out there know if it's harmful in any ways for women to take saw palmetto? Thyroid's done a number on my hair. Looking for ways to hopefully get it back. Always thought SP was a men's herb. Any info regarding this would be helpful. Please feel free to email me about it. Thanks!

Melinda, Saw Palmetto is definitely safe for women to take. It is one of the top ingredients in a lot of herbal breast enhancement formulas for women. I have taken Saw Palmetto for months at a time before and never had any side effects (never got bigger breasts either!) ;-)

Hydrogen Peroxide, Vicks Vapor Rub

The vicks on skin or scalp helps with getting a skin rehydrated -as vicks major component is vaseline, while eucalyptus oil have some limited antifungal as it also degrades to hydrogen peroxide also, so it kill both bacteria and fungus. Borax used a shampoo has the same property in killing off the fungus, but not retnetion of moistue. Also a borax with 0.5% hydrogen peroxide as a shampoo, can also helped, but I used a vaseline, instead of eucalyptus oil (the vicks) as some people are too sensitive to use this kind of remeay over a week. In excess that may also kill off the hair roots. We just use enough to kill without harming the hair. My own application of tea tree with lavender or alone on scalp is only once or twice application only so much less then a week's time to do its job. Vitamin C is important in basic hairloss as it helps collagen formation and makes the hair roots more stronger.
As to the h2o2 drops taken internally helps rid of fungus and pathogens in the blood, as well as oxygenate teh blood, so this helps with hair loss.
However, I also believe tin deficiency is one of the causes, a tin supplement isn't easy to acquire either and the dose is quite low, such as 1 mg. The only way I see to get an amino acid chelated tin is to get a real tin can, or a tin metal and soak them in a soy sauce. A soy sauce is actually amino acids which will chelate them in very low amount and use them as a food flavoring added for soups. Tin deficiency is relatively low in Asian perhaps because of the use of tin in cups and cans, while tin is a deficiency since the switchover to the use of aluminum cans and plastic lined canned, which by they way are the source of estrogen, in the form of bisphenol A, which I believe is unhealthy for hair growth and weight loss also. Also Western culture use a lot of carpets, which is a mjaor source of fungus, that also leads to hair loss too.
I have found woman who take progesterone help with hair loss, but it becomes an addiction. If discontinued, hair loss gets worse. So in men, one other common cause is hormonal imbalance, which in some instances magnesium and boron (from borax) supplementation often helps normalizes this condition and helps with hair growth. Peroxide cleans the blood increase oxygen in the blood also. This can be proven through medical examination where blood's oxygen capacity does increase after taking peroxide drops. Hydrogen peroxide is amazingly stable and don't degrade easily in low dilution where water is also free from free heavy metals. If it is high, they tend to degrade quickly into numerous air bubbles which came from an old rusty faucet, or a old rusty water filter. Luckily today Iand unlucky at the same time), most water filter are now from plastics, but certain water filter again may generate bisphenol A if the wrong kinds of plastic were used. There's no way we can find out without proper analysis on that one and water filter companies don't even have to disclose whether some of the water filter are bisphenol free, or other contaminants from it's production. In any case, I think its still better then the metal filter ones.

I have been losing hair for almost 3 yrs now. the process is slow though. it began a little bit behind my forehead line. It seemd rare that it began there b/c I've seen the MBP pics and they're not similar. And no one in my family is bald. I'm only 25 yrs old and have alot of hair for most part. I have been taking ACV with baking soda., for a month now. But I still dont see any results. I also put some ACV on my head but dont see much difference. Although the ACV did help with the dryness of the bottom of my feet. The bottom of my feet are smooth now. Can you help me out?? I'm really desperate.

I dont know if that might have cause my hair to fall out slow. Its been 3 or 4 years that my hair has been thinning.

Shu Wu Pian can be found at any asian market .Oh did i mention it makes you feel very young as well :)) good luck !!!!
EC: Read about potential side effects (rare liver reactions) here: http://www.itmonline.org/arts/hsw_alert.htm
"The four published reports cited in the alert all mention Shou Wu Pian; this is a product manufactured in Shanghai; there are also several manufacturers who have more recently copied the product. It is reputed to contain 100% Ho Shou Wu, but the actual content in the Shanghai preparations is not known. The report also mentions the recent cases involving Shen Min—a product made of several ingredients (including vitamins), with extract of Ho Shou Wu as a central herbal component—and Shou Wu Wan, which is a formula that is said to contain Ho Shou Wu plus a dozen other herbs."

Cayenne Pepper and Aloe Vera

Hello, I apologize for the late response. The first week, open one capsule of Cayenne Pepper, wet your hair a little, empty the capsule where you want hair growth and then add Aloe Vera on top of it. The amount of Aloe Vera will depend on how much hair you have. You will want to use Aloe Vera to "spread" the pepper. The gel also helps to prevent hair loss as well. The first week will be painful. Keep in hair for about 20mins, rinse it off with cool or cold water, and do not rub your eyes with your fingers as your eyes will burn.
It will burn for about 15-20mins later after you rinse off. Put on your hair for 2-3x/week. Week 2 should be not too bad as it will not burn as much. In about 2-3 weeks, you should notice some hair growth if you do it regularly. Also, on week 2 or 3, increase dosage to two capsules and keep increasing it to however you can handle. I hope this helps. My hair has helped a lot due to this remedy!! It forces blood to your scalp and cleans whatever it needs to (like Acupuncture except this remedy is a little painful at first).
EC: Thanks for the update!

Carrot Juice Applied to Scalp

Hi! I just want to ask if carrot juice applied daily or weekly in scalp? Who is interested for the cattle bone I know the recipe I have don't try that by I heard that it is very good for bald spot. another cure is created with 300 grams of ox bone marrow, 300 grams of paraffin oil. The insert in a small pot and this pot insert in a larger pot filled with water sodden in the fire, so that those who have entered into a small pot, do not come in contact with the plate heat Sobest, but only in contact with hot water, so that within a small pot to form an ointment having contact only with the heat wave. With this recipe put in your head every night for 1 month in a row, and that within this month will see the results, as will hair begin to emerge in countries that have fallen or thin. hope it will help you.

thanks Joe for your detailed remedy... I would like to add that of course heredity plays a big factor in hair loss.though by follow much advice from EC one can perhaps minimize it.....Also about Spirulina, or blue green algae, people should take caution since these have neurotoxins which can damage health..Chlorella is a better choice though still in some doctors minds (Andrew Weil) a waste of money.

Is it something you just do once and done or is it weekly, monthly, daily ???? Thanks-Dave

I started taking red dates (jujube) and honey as I read it is good for blood circulation.
I added 3 -5 drops of apple cider vinegar to it ( balance of the yin and yang in the body and for calming too.. according to traditional Chinese medicine) lo and behold, after 3 months of it.. I noticed that a balding part of my scalp rejuvenated and hair started to grow !! after 6 months I started to let my hair grow without cutting it, I now sport hair beyond shoulder length, something which I couldn't do since my hair was very fine and scanty !! ( I also take apple cider vinegar half a teaspoon daily with honey)
My sister and brother also tried it, we noticed that facial skin became more youthful !! due to the blood circulation?
