Remedies for Hair Growth:

1. Mix as per your hair length, castor oil, olive oil and coconut oil in equal measures. Warm and massage on to your scalp. This will arrest hair fall and promote hair growth.

2. Soak methi (fenugreek) seeds and curry leaves in coconut oil, overnight. Next morning warm it a little and massage it on to your scalp. The massage should be gentle, yet it should leave your scalp tingling. Rinse off with a herbal shampoo. Alternatively you could rinse it with the juice of crushed red hibiscus leaves.

Follow this regularly for best results. It will keep your scalp healthy and prevent hair fall.

3. If you can tolerate the smell of mustard oil here's a remedy. Boil mustard oil and while it is boiling, keep adding fresh henna, basil and curry leaves to it. After the leaves are burnt black, switch off the gas. Cool, strain and use twice to thrice a week for best results.

Carrot Juice Applied to Scalp
Posted by Erviola (Larisa, Greece) on 07/06/2012

Hi! I just want to ask if carrot juice applied daily or weekly in scalp? Who is interested for the cattle bone I know the recipe I have don't try that by I heard that it is very good for bald spot. another cure is created with 300 grams of ox bone marrow, 300 grams of paraffin oil. The insert in a small pot and this pot insert in a larger pot filled with water sodden in the fire, so that those who have entered into a small pot, do not come in contact with the plate heat Sobest, but only in contact with hot water, so that within a small pot to form an ointment having contact only with the heat wave. With this recipe put in your head every night for 1 month in a row, and that within this month will see the results, as will hair begin to emerge in countries that have fallen or thin. hope it will help you.

Fungal Hair Loss Remedies

Hair/Scalp/Hair Loss Prevention:

*Lots of Aloe Vera (Gel preferred) [1]
*Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil, & Peppermint Oil [essential oils] (little) [5]
*Apple Cider Vinegar [2]
*Cod Liver Oil [3]
*Grape Seed Oil [3]

I really didn't measure, just estimated. On a scale of 1-5, 1 being the most & 5 being the least. Put the following in your hair after shampoo & do not rinse off; Then put water in your hair so you can makes sure it mixes well with your hair and spread it around. Leave on all day. Hair will smell a little like peppermint. You want to put as much as ACV in as you can but not to a point where your hair smells like vinegar. Peppermint should be the strongest smell out of all of them.

I put it in a big Aloe Vera bottle (the one you get at GNC)and mix it up. It's really good for the scalp as well as your hair!

Brushing Technique
Posted by Norma (Austin, Tx) on 08/21/2008

I found the brushing technique quite interesting and am anxious to give it a try. I am 67 years of age and have started losing some hair, so hopefully this will help. Thank you for the info.

Brushing Technique
Posted by julie (Sydney, Australia) on 11/21/2008

Just to clarify - when I lean forward I hold my hair in one hand, start at base of scalp and kinda glide the brush through the hair to tips. Do I go round the side and front as well? So I'm not really touching my scalp with brush more like feeding my hair into brush at this point with not much pressure at all. More like I want to wipe my hair through the brush. I do this from base down to tip back, side and front. Then I stand up and apply pressure from front to back tips side to back tips and base underneath to tips. Is this correct? Thanks.

Brushing Technique
Posted by Shirley (Missouri) on 11/23/2008

Reply to; Julie from Sydney You have the idea, I think. There's nothing different about the way you would be brushing your hair anyway. Except you brush the underneath hair first without pressure on the scalp. Then you stand up and you will start to brush your hair as usual only with pressure being applied to brush at the scalp.

Marcus, can you share with the guys on here what your brushing technique is? How long do you brush a day? How long until you saw some progress? Thanks! I started brushing and my scalp LOVES it. Can't believe I didn't think of doing this. It's always the simple things....

I brush my skin like this too and it feels so darn good! I think it wakes it up. What worries me is that I then shower in fluoridated water. Isn't fluoride just a most wicked thing to put in our water? Why do we accept this at all?

Coconut Oil
Posted by Ginger (Singapore) on 07/31/2008

Please advise if you drink it or apply to the balding part? And how much and when you have it? Would it be alright for us to use coconut milk instead? I have never seen coconut oil in our supermarket. Please help.... I am rather sad about my problem.

Yes, this is a well-known remedy for hair-loss in Romania - boil a handful of nettles for a few minutes and use that water (while still warm) to wash your hair. You may want to keep the mixture in your hair for a few minutes, then wash it out. Do this at least twice a week.

Saw Palmetto
Posted by Chris (SLP, Ca) on 12/13/2008

ive heard that saw palmetto can stop androgenic hair loss. but it can have serious consequences and that it may not work. but either way actual fda approved products like propecia have saw palmetto extract.

Multiple Remedies

I have a inquery involving Joe Merritt's remedies. How often do you soak your scalp in the borax/peroxide solution? Should I be doing it everyday, every other day, a few times a week etc.?

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Wanda (Lancaster, PA) on 04/09/2009

I'm responding to Joe Merrit's comment on misc. remedies for hair loss. He says that he likes Ted's vitamin C water remedy. Where can I find the recipe for this. Thank you very much.

EC: You might find it on at the top of this page: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/pH.html

Posted by Rob (Toronto, Canada) on 04/09/2009

thanks Joe for your detailed remedy... I would like to add that of course heredity plays a big factor in hair loss.though by follow much advice from EC one can perhaps minimize it.....Also about Spirulina, or blue green algae, people should take caution since these have neurotoxins which can damage health..Chlorella is a better choice though still in some doctors minds (Andrew Weil) a waste of money.

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Dave (Phila, PA) on 07/23/2009

I saw Jack from the UK asked this question so I never bother askintg the same. That was over a year ago and Joe never answered. So now it's my turn.Maybe since it was actually one of Ted's treatments then Ted might respond for us.How often should you use the Peroxide/borax solution ? Is it something you just do once and done or is it weekly, monthly, daily ???? Thanks-Dave

It's in the Water

I agree that chlorine and other chemicals in the water are contributing to hair loss and other health issues.

I've been researching this lately, and find many people notice softer, healthier skin, hair and scalp after purchasing a shower filter.

These standard filters will eliminate chlorine, but not chloramine which some cities use now, for chloramine treated water supply you need a vitamin C filtration system, but can be expensive as filters only last about 1 month.

The best would be to get a whole house water filtration system, but not everyone has $2-5000 to spend on this.

What are the ingredients of the supplement you use? (I know we are not supposed to list brand names)? I have tested low HGH and cannot afford the $$$ injections, though my Dr.says not much in the way of supplements can help increase.... but am looking to try anyways. Thnx

Jujube, Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Trisha (Singapore) on 01/26/2007

I started taking red dates (jujube) and honey as I read it is good for blood circulation.

I added 3 -5 drops of apple cider vinegar to it ( balance of the yin and yang in the body and for calming too.. according to traditional Chinese medicine) lo and behold, after 3 months of it.. I noticed that a balding part of my scalp rejuvenated and hair started to grow !! after 6 months I started to let my hair grow without cutting it, I now sport hair beyond shoulder length, something which I couldn't do since my hair was very fine and scanty !! ( I also take apple cider vinegar half a teaspoon daily with honey)

My sister and brother also tried it, we noticed that facial skin became more youthful !! due to the blood circulation?
