Castor Oil and Borax Water

Hi Everyone,

Castor oil mixed with borax water filled in my bald spots. Loss of a lot of hair has been one of the things I have had to get used to in my senior years. Many products were promising, but gave no substantial growth. What I have held onto is the Tea Tree oil Soap, I use it like a shampoo, Peppermint Deep Conditioner, the Evening Primrose supplement, I take two 500mg gel caps daily. I also do the Scalp massages, which a few people on EC have suggested. I only massage my scalp about 2 minutes, but something is better than nothing is. I am not consistent with any of these except the Evening Primrose which helps the hair and skin to have some inner moisture. So, my hair was still falling out as fast as it growing.

I think started strengthening, and growing my hair, is when I got the fantastic idea of mixing some borax water in my castor oil. I had a box of borax that had lumped up quite a bit, because I had bought it years ago.

I decided to dissolve some in a quart jar of water and pour from that into my bath water. I had dumped quite a bit of borax in the jar of water, maybe half a cup borax in the quart jar of water. Some of the lumps were still in the water weeks later.

Well in the past whenever my scalp felt itchy, I would take a pinch of borax and wet it, and massage it in my scalp, and it would stop the itch.

I got to wondering if it would still stop the itch, if I added an even amount of borax water to about the same amount of castor oil left in my castor oil bottle.

Ha, ha. Not only did it still stop the scalp itch, my hair grew and added length since July. The bald top of my head now has about an in or so of thickened hair. And the hair in the center of my head grew, however it's thinner than the top but its there. I can wear my own hair now. Yaaay.

I have to shake the Castor oil and water mixture each time before I use it, but it works for me.
