I'm sorry if this has already been looked at, but has anyone thought to check your heart. Some of these symptoms are early warning signs of heart attack.

Apply Castor Oil several times a day on painful parts of your body. It alleviates pain.

Hi Ted

Am a member of earthclinic, where you contribute a lot. Please advise what supplements can help my conditions..

Symptoms of ENT problems :-
Ear - tinnitus buzzing/ringing, sore ear canals
Nose - very dry nasal passages (had a lot of mucus in my twenties, now in my forties all mucus has dried up), bleeding from my nasopharynx, nose canals bleed easily, gnawing pains from my nasopharynx area.
Throat - sore throat, blood in sputum
Headaches - weird head pains seem to be connected to my nasopharynx area also

I am worried as symptoms seem to be worsening. what can I take to stop the unnatural bleedings and cause the inflamed tissues to heal and restored to normal?

e.g. will taking bloodroot internally help? I have been using saline nasal rinse, but tissues seem to be still dry. please advise urgently. will provide more info as needed, thanks.

Dear J:

Often dryness of the nasal is connected to metabolic acidosis, low vitamin A, low potassium, and low glutathione. This may be helped perhaps by taking potassium citrate or potassium carbonate roughly 1/4 teaspoon after meals 30 minutes twice a day. Vitamin A 25000 iu a day may also support so moisture a little. A good glutathione supplement is best taken as N acetyl cysteine form at 1000 mg a day. To allow reduce bleeding vitamin k I might use between 100 to 300 mcg a day. Smelling perfumes for some reason reduces or stop nose bleed. Taking supplements such as aloe vera oil 1 teaspoon or 1/8 teaspoon of beta sitosterol and helps healing. Ringing of ears maybe due to dryness of ear or taking too much pain killers or restricted circulation to the ears. Stopping pain killers, taking 400 mg vitamin B1, taking 1/ 2 teaspoon of baking soda 30 minutes after meal and taking magnesium chloride, magnesium glycinate might be helpful at 100 to 200 mg a day. Often if nerve transmission is weak you can get tinnitus bought on by dryness of nasal area. In most cases it is helpful to take vitamin c 500 mg 4 times a day for a 2 or 3 months to help healing. It is also helpful for healing if 1000 mg of lysine and 1000 to 2000 mg of glutamine. This supplement is used for me in healing of damage tissues.

Ted, anyone. Folks, I need your help with the health issues that have been consuming my life for the past 6months. It started in March with extreme numbness in right and left leg two days after I had a deep tissue massage with a non register massager. It quickly went to burning sensation in my chest, back and arm. I was diagnosed with Myofacial pain (Muscle pain on the upper back). Did physical therapy and it seems to resolve the back and burning sensations. 5 months later the burning and tingling sensation as come back in triple fold. I try going back for another Physical Therapy session, I felt no relieve and my symptoms seems to get worse. All my blood work seems normal and I have managed to keep my blood pressure between 115 and 120. X ray indicated degenerated disk from my neck and and MRI shows no sign of brain tumor or anything. However, I have developed some symptoms along the way till now. I need help with the following

1. Anxiety attacks and daily panic attacks. I get attacks on any noise. That how bad it is.

2. Insomnia. I can go for days without sleep and when I do get sleep I get no less than 2 hours and once im up it all over.

3. Ear and Head noise. I think it triggered mostly by the back burning sensation and anxiety.

4. Lack of focus and depersonalization.

5. Upper Back, shoulder and neck pain. (Muscle Stiffness, soreness, spasm)

6. Feels tired all the time... I sit alot and I feel I and I lie down on the bed a lot thinking why, where and how did I go wrong.

Before all these issues I was a healthy 37 years old guy who works out and eat healthy. Now, the hospital seems like my favorite spot. I have been on 3 anti-depressant pills and anxiety pills. But to all honesty medication is not my forte. I get all the side effects that comes with them. The last medication I was on was Elavil. It helps with sleep but too many side effect. I quit cold turkey despite on small dosage. Not sure if the withdrawal symptoms makes my anxiety worse. I have lost my job due to all these madness and it seems I cant focus anymore at anything. My friends and loved ones are suffering as well. I desperately need help to get my life back as all these are taking a toll on me. Any suggestions and recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I look forward to your responses.

You need some transdermal magnesium. It will help greatly with a lot of these issues. Trust me. It works. For your panic attacks you could also supplement with some phoshytidylserine. It's a natural supplement and it also works very well. Hope this helps.

SURULERE, sorry to hear of your failing health.. The follow are few things that may help, in addition to what others may suggest.

1. Make up an essential oil blend Bergamot, Lavender, Ginger, & Rosemary (into a carrier oil, almond). Rub this on the top of your neck at hair line and over the right chest above armpit. This will relax and help lift your spirit, as well as a good anti-viral.

2. On earth clinic, you will see the mini beet protocol, try it for a while. Beet juice (high in nitrates) helps relax you & blood vessels to increase blood flow to the brain.

Asparagus is a great liver detox... (Journal of Food Science)

3. The Herb Gotu Kola has some proof in calming the startled response... (our reaction to loud noises) Will help with brain focus, anxiety.

Your problems could be related to a spinal misalignment from the massage, believe it or not. There are other things that could also be causes, but if you are sure it began immediately after the massage, then it could be that your hip joints are partially misaligned in the tailbone area, causing severe pinching of nerves that radiate throughout the body. If either the very end of the spine or the very top of the spine under the skull are out of alignment, even a little, it can created a system wide disturbance, that is like being electrocuted on an ongoing basis. If physical therapy fixed it for a time, then I really suspect an alignment issue, perhaps coupled with some disc degeneration reducing the spaces between vertabrae. A good physical therapist should train you in at-home exercises to strenghen muscles and ligaments..... Ask for MICRO building exercises, not macro muscle exercises, as often it is very tiny muscles controlling the bottom of the spine and it's alignment. If these type of strengthening exercises are indicated, you should do them twice a day, everyday, to bring it all back in functionality.

Be patient, it can take several weeks to months to retrain the body, and have it quit responding to the initial event..... Muscle and tissue have a long memory, where trauma is concerned and you need to coax them back into correct operation gently and persistently. Drugs will only mask your problems.... I would urge you to stay away from them. If seeking correct alignment doesn't work, then you should consider looking at an undetected pathogen that could be causing the same syptomology. There are many candidates to investigate: mycoplasma infections, Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Valley Fever, parasite infections of all kinds, etc. Start with the most logical, first the spine issue, then proceed to next level if no releif. Look at all possible causes, your area you live in, any recent "flu-like" illness you have had, any insect bites out of the ordinary, etc. Do your homework, be vigilant.... There ARE answers and help out there. Good Luck!

Sounds like you are having the classic withdraw symptoms from coming off the medicine. Please be assured there is light at the end of the tunnel but it will take a little time to work through it. I went through the same after coming off Lexapro. Lack of sleep, head noise, vertigo, anxiety, depression, all of it.

Its rather a lengthy read but I'll keep it to the point and I hope I can make sense here without causing further anguish for you as I know its difficult to deal with. But this is my experience. As explained to me by a pharmacist, all of this this is common as your body is going through chemical and emotional changes. The medicine causes the brain to reduce the amount of melatonin it produces, which is what helps us go to sleep. The medicine was providing that for you and your body will realize it needs to produce more since it isn't being provided for any longer. Unfortunately, it doesen't happen as quickly as we like it to. Therefore, you need to retrain yourself to sleep. The pharmacist suggested I try an over the counter sleep aid. I started with melatonin supplements but the dreams were way too bad. I turned to a store brand sleep aid with acetophamin. I had my concerns about becoming dependent on them because I was convinced this would be the way it was going to be. After 3 days with about 2 hours total sleep, I would take one sleep aid tablet. Then took another one the next night. Then, I took nothing unless I was desperate and had been awake for a couple days.

In about a months time, I began sleeping on my own and staying asleep all night. Furthermore, a lack of sleep will contribute to you being tired, fuzzy minded, tight muscles and spasms. Its kind of like your body is in a defense mode because of sleep deprivation, all your senses are 'waking up' and perhaps you are feeling emotions you hadn't been feeling. I don't know about you but it hit me like a brick wall! Its a lot to go through. I describe the post med anxiety and depression are there because everything that was triggering you to begin with is still a sore subject for you. You didn't feel all that while you were on the meds, did you?

I adapted to my issues and all became ok when I was on the med. I was really disappointed realizing the medicine didn't 'fix' my problems. How could they? I had to resolve my issues in order for it to improve. The head noise and vertigo took a while to get past. I still get it from time to time but not like before. I noticed that when I experience anxiety, thats when it hits me the worst and I describe it like the fuzz sound of a radio that isn't tuned to a station. I have a bad habit of over thinking everything when I first wake up and my day would go about with the noise. Its really aggravating and I sympathize for you.

So now, instead of conquering everything in my mind when I first wake up, I focus on conversations on morning shows. Weird, but it helped me. Another big help for me was exercising. It helped me to release my negative thoughts and energy and I became a lot more focused and happier. As you say, "I lie down on the bed a lot thinking why, where and how did I go wrong. " Its all too familiar. Maybe instead of looking backwards, you should look forward. What ever happened is done and you can only change which path you choose to travel down. Unfortunately, you will grieve for that part of your past life but you need to come to some level of acceptance/responsibility for YOUR actions in whatever happened. And at that point for me, is when I began to pick myself up. All is not lost. You just have to find it! Wishing you the best...

Seven years ago to the week, I went through the pretty much the same thing you describe after a chiropractic adjustment. Doctors weren't able to diagnose me with anything and assumed it was all in my head and put me on anti-anxiety medication. Chiropractors are usually on the defensive side for their profession and 2 have denied any relation between what happened and the therapy I had the night before. I have come to my own conclusion of vertebral artery dissection; which can happen after chiropractic or massage therapy. The attack which happened is that of a Transient Ischemic Attack. However, being young (32) and healthy, the VBA is what made sense because of the spinal manipulation therapy (the night before) where TIA happens due to health conditions such as high cholestoral.

If you speak with your doctor about this, I would be interested in getting an update on your situation. I've been to several doctors but they all think its in my head. Even though I've come a long way with this, I would love to be back to my old self again one day. I would interested in any feedback from Ted.

Folks, thanks alto for all the input. Very informative and quit interesting. Anon, you hit the nail on the wall. It all started during a very stressful time in my life 100%. At the same time I was very physical at the gym. Stronger than ever been because I changed my diet to more healthy choices. Then, I noticed that when I worked out more, my muscle did'nt get muscle pump like I used to. I did lots of pull ups and push ups before my regular workout. I must have over stretch the muscles I believe but I cant say if it the massage that triggers the entire issue or the stress related factor. What difficult is to differentiate if the original issue was emotional(stress) or Physical pain. I have stayed away from the gym. I walk as much as I can but I get tied from fatigue. Below is the summary result from my MRI in April 2010

1. Multilevel degenerative disc disease with straightening of normal cervical lordosis.

2. There is a right paracentral/foraminal disc protrusion at C3-4
3. Left paracentraldisc protrusionnat C-4-5
4. AT C6-7 there is a right paracentral disc protrusion as well
5. At C5-6 there is a posterior disc osteophyte complex and there is mild moderate right sided foraminal narrowing secondary to uncovertebral joint arthropathy. MRI of the brain proves to be normal.

Some relieve.. I get some relieve from doing something physical or socially active. The entire anxiety/panic attacks double a month after I stopped the Elavil which I took for a month and quit cold Turkey due to the side effect sometimes in late August. I want to embark on a holistic and straight regimen to alleviate whatever this nasty anxiety is. I took too much negative information and let it stick in my brain. I have to reverse it.

Today, is ok. Less anxious because of the positive feedback I'm getting from you folks. Please folks keep them coming. Thanks, and truly appreciate all suggestions and recommendations from the bottom of my heart!

Several years ago I had a case of what I think was athletes foot. I was able to get rid of it, but then I developed a skin problem on my feet which includes burning, tingling, a "crawling" feeling on my soles, shiny redness, and extreme sensitivity to pressure - if I kick something, it hurts many times more than it should! Has anyone ever seen or heard of this and if so, have you found something that works to get rid of it?

Jmh
Posted by Kelly (Cinti, Ohio) on 02/12/2011

Hi JMH, I can tell you what I used to treat a big toe that had athletes foot fungus so bad that squeezing the toenail caused a brown pus to come out from under the toenail (sorry to be so graphic) and the toenail itself was black. Believe it or not, from advise of a poster on EC, I took about a tbsp. of vapo-rub (brand no-matter) and mixed it with a crushed clove of garlic (fresh). Wait 10 min after crushing garlic before mixing to get full benefit of enzyme. I kid you not, there was a dramatic change in just 24 hrs. Totally gone in 1.5 to 2 days. I forgot to mention, I also wrapped the toe in a loose but secure bandage. If you suspect fungus as the culprit try this. It is harmless to you but, great to kill fungus. Make up a bit of it (about 3 tbsp. vapo rub w/a clove or 2 of garlic crushed and layer on foot w/a sock on ovenight.

Hi my name is Mr. Kelly, Here is my problem in a nutshell. My neurotransmitters misfire. I am unsure what my levels of Serotonin and dopamine are to be in my body, but if there is misfiring going on I'll bet their out of whack. Folic acid, also called folate, is a B vitamin that is often deficient in me. The last time I was in the hospital vitamin B was way down. Also magnesium is needed for serotonin production. So I'm willing to bet it is low too. To add to things my doctor also told me my testosterone was way to high. Should I ask for a blood test to see what is what. Where to begin, and what to do is the question. I want to get off all these depression and anxiety drugs. Mr. Kelly

Look into Unsulphered Blackstrap molasses which has magnesium and folate. I'm not sure how the iron might affect you but it might be worth looking into.

Hello, This may seem like an odd question but I suffer from seasonal allergy. I always smell this foul smell in my nose. Other people can smell it too, its not bad breath but due to allergies. I read about mixing apple cider vinegar with water and dipping cotton ball and putting it in your nose, by inhaling that, the smell would go away. But my question is, is it safe to inhale vinegar directly? Please help.

Mama
Posted by Eve K (Houston, Tx) on 05/27/2011

You don't need to inhale, just rinse your sinuses. I suggest using a neti pot or sinumed bottle, dilute the ACV with warm (not hot) distilled water and gently rinse it through your sinuses. In fact, you could try just rinsing the usual sea salt-distilled water combo first, before resorting to the ACV. It is probably going to burn so you really need to dilute it. You can also rinse with hydrogen peroxide (also diluted in warm water). You should not swallow much, it should go in one nostril and come out the other. If congested, take guafenesin (sp?) tablets (sold in the drugstore generically or as Mucinex D) to loosen the gunk up, drink plenty of water. You might also just drink some warm water with ACV (sweeten if you like) to relieve the congestion.

You may not feel congested (breathing fine) but the odor is most likely from mucus and bacteria that have set up housekeeping in your sinus cavities. If you are taking antihistamines for your allergies, you need to be rinsing daily, drinking lots of water, and probably taking the herbal decongestant regularly, because the antihistamine will keep your sinuses from draining (as antihistamine is supposed to do), but this means you will be prone to infection because the bacteria and mucus do not drain out. So, you need to help get that bad stuff out. I hope this helps.

Can anyone help or advise, I get hot flushes on average twice a day, usally at about 1pm -2pm and it lasts about a half an hour and then the next one would occur at about 7pm and lasts about the same amount of time, I have had this now for near enough ten years. I get red across my nose and cheeks when I have these hot flushes but now after years it is staying red. The redness isn't blotchy and I have no pustules. I have done a bit of reading and it is hard to pinpoint what I have, could it be, rosacea, hot stomach, thin skin on my face, circulatory issues, hormones.. Please help, what can I do to get rid of this as it is affecting me pshychologically now...

Phil
Posted by Coregon (Medford, Or) on 11/03/2010

For hot flash relief I've found the following to be very helpful:

- eat an avocado daily (don't know why.. But it works! )
- reduce sugar and alcohol
- eat small frequent meals (don't let yourself get too hungry or too thirsty.. This seems to bring on hot flashes)
- eat oatmeal
- take 400 mg of chromium picolinate daily (200 in a. M. And 200 in p. M. )
- take flaxseed oil capsules 3x day (these really work! )
- take Vitamin E complex 2 x day
- drink lots of water
- wear all cotton fiber clothing (avoid polyesters)
- sleep with 100% cotton sheets and pillow cases
- spray your bedroom with lavender oil and water at bedtime (calming cooling effect)

For the emotional part of hot flashes (we expect them and get tense when it starts happening), try saying to yourself "I am cool, this will pass in a moment" and take deep breaths. Stressing about it only makes the hot flashes worse. If I had to pick 2 things out of the list above that worked the best, I'd say the avocados and the flaxseed oil :)

Arslan.. You are what you eat.. Eat vegetables and fruit for constipation.. Give up Salt and food that contains salt for two weeks, Sea Salt ok, But regular salt not healthy, Apple cider Vinegar, is amazing tonic.. Will help you right away.. For my spinning I took Bioflavonoids pills.. The spinning stopped and never returned, it supports the Capilary and circulatory health, made from lemon, rutin & hesperidin.. Keep positive.. You will get well soon.

But no Salt for two weeks, no fast food, Aloe Vera & purslane grows in your area.. Both grow wild.. So cost is free.. Aloe vera- Take off the sharp spikes, Cut up and eat, the cover skin, inside all healthy for you. Purlsane looks like weed.- Wash and eat, check to make sure no chemical spray on it. You must build up your potasium.. Eat bananas that will help, BUT Please give up salt.. That is what is killing you.. Alfred

My husband has been ill for over 18months now. It has had so many different tests done. It all started with boils. Then with shortness of breath, fever, and blood in his bowels. They have run so many tests on him and sent him to another doctor. They say that he does not have mrsa. They look just like mrsa sores. I am afraid that they have gone into his lungs that's why he has shortness of breath and chills. He has been broken out now for three weeks he has about 35 sores some are large and very painful some are small. He has been very very sick. He has not been to a specialist yet. I just want him to see a doctor and find out what in the worlds whats going on with him.

Alicia

id tell him to see a dermatologist and have them test for yeast (candida) I was on antibiotics for 2 years cuz 2 sript pushers were too lasy to do blood work.. Antibiotics only killed my probiotics and made my situation worse. Tho I didnt realize it at the time because it seems to come in surges. Youi think its gone then you have a lil too much sugar and all of a sudden you are covered in itchy peeling bumps that leave marks that could be misdiagnosed as mrsa.... Make sure you get blood work and a skin biopsy. If they find yeast... Good luck, im still trying to get rid of it. Considering legal action myself :0/

EarthClinic please help. I have bed-ridden for the past two years. I received my latest lab results yesterday. Here are a couple that caught my eye:

Serum Chloride - 97 mmol/L (RANGE: 97-108)

Serum Calcium - 10. 1 mg/dL (RANGE: 8. 7-10. 2)

Serum Prolactin - 21 ng/mL (RANGE: 3-18)

I am a 22 year old male, weighing in at an alarming 130 lbs. I have lost about 25 pounds of weight over the course of two (2) years, not trying. Luke

Luke-you need to provide more information. Blood result levels will vary for every individual. Some people are naturally high or low in some components. Elevated prolactin levels can cause problems but this would not be the reason you are bed ridden. Let the readers of the site know more about your symptoms and what has been ruled out to date and they may be able to be more helpful.

The blood tests won't mean much for me. I need to know why bedridden. Weight loss due to an unknown disease of sometime spells immune issue, where the body steals glutamine, needed to fight off a disease. Usually a person with a severe weight loss, if disease is determined also is sometimes gained by taking some amino acid such as glutamine, alkalization, hydrogen peroxide, and most of all vitamin B complex, B50. An under arm temperature lower then 98 degree celsius on average or most of the day usually is low Basal Metabolism as being the cause of thyroid, and hence a natural thyroid is helpful, as well as 1 drop x 3 lugols solution. However, there is not enough information here to know why being bedridden. The numbers are still within the range except for prolactin, is sometimes due to high stress, but not really too high.

I have been suffering with tailbone pain since March. There was no obvious reason for this. Perhaps a few weeks of pretty bad constipation before the pain started? Not sure. Acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathy have not helped. The spine specialist says there is an inflammation & wants me to take naprosin & then prilosec for the acid reflux it will surely stir up. I have been successfully using ACV & baking soda for 3 years and have kept all acid reflux symptoms at bay. I am frightened to take the naprosen & prilosec.... My goal is to live medication-free. I am 67 years old & in excellent health otherwise. I am not able to sit, have to use a special pillow & just want this problem to heal. Checking this site, I've read about turmeric. I started taking 450 mgs of turmeric with bromelain twice daily... So far, no relief. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions. How much turmeric, how often, etc? Thanks, Susan

The pain you describe sounds like hypertonic muscles or adhesions/shortening in the lower pelvic muscles and ligaments. This can be released by a massage therapist or by sitting on a racket ball or tennis ball. Both are uncomfortable at the time of treatment but do provide great relief.

Regarding tailbone pain: I had the same thing a few years ago. Getting a firm mattress solved it for me, in addition to going to a chiropractor and yoga. For me, I think this was more of a musculo/skeletal issue for me rather than an all-over internal thing. I hope this is helpful, peace.

I am a previously healthy 35 year old male. Worked out 5 days a week before this mysterious illness started. I have always been prone to fungal skin and nail issues had some minor asthma and a lung infection. Couple broken bones and was diagnosed with seborrheac dermatitis 12 years ago or so. Had blood poisoning as well in my teen years. For the last 7 months myself and my close family have exhibited odd symptoms. Mine have been very severe and included about 45 pounds of weight loss that has been almost continuous no matter what I do or eat. I have run lots of blood tests and scans and found little but a bit of elevated albumin levels, fatty liver and swollen spleen with neck arthritis. My pH is almost always acidic and I have been on a pretty clean and healthy diet for months now. I can't afford all the necessary supplements but I am taking a fibrin reducing one, probiotic, digestive enzyme, organic multivitamin and glutamine 12-20grams per day. I try to keep in stock b50 complex and vitamin c if I can afford it. My naturopath has been trying to rotate support and attack herbs but as we only know there is a systemic yeast infection and not the root cause we try to work on that. I have diverticulosis as well as mild gastritis and my organs are really weak as is my digestion. I am trying to figure out where to start and what are the most important supplements/foods and ideas to keep alkaline without eating nothing but raw and no meat or fish. I realize the importance of alkalinity and know that I probably have leaky gut and parasites which seem to be pervasive. There is also an unknown vector of something reinfecting myself and family. Unsure if it is fleas or lice or what. Hoping you can get me on the right track to manage my yeast so my body stops catabolizing itself. Alkalinity and proper protein and nutrient intake as well as helping digestion and increasing absorbtion and possibly someweight gain would be nice. Organizing supplements in order of importance and possibly helping to stop this weight loss would be awesome. I have seen some drink recipes with baking soda but worry with poor digestion it will get worse with those. Thank you so much and God bless you. This is to Ted in the Candida forum. My email is [email protected] and my name is Adam.

Agt: Have you had any known exposure, either sudden (acute) or over time (chronic) to pesticides of any kind?

Your symptoms such as the fatty liver and swollen spleen do sound like poisons of some kind. If pesticides, then you can find out how much is in your blood literally with a 'chlorinated pesticide' blood test, done at private labs in the USA. Any search engine will give you results there. Maybe your HMO would know of it, but this test has been known and available since the 1980's, yet most don't know of it. I don't know the cost (maybe $150?)

Till then, the fastest way by far to help heal a fatty liver is to get some plain non-GMO lecithin from a health food store. A few tbsp per day should do it. It seems the overload of toxins have backed up the Phase I-Phase II toxin neutralization pathway and temporarily injured the liver cells. The other possibility for toxins you may have, since you mentioned your family, could be outgassing from some new furniture fabric, bedding, carpet, or clothes?

Finally, it's also possible it could be mould (mold) neurotoxins in your system perhaps from between the walls, in which case you can look at Dr. Shoemaker's site at www.chronicneurotoxins.com to match up your symptoms and read up on treatment.

Bill, I have symptoms of candida. Used a drug to help kill parasites and suffered immediate, severe hair loss. I stopped the drug immediately. What would you do to promote hair regrowth if you were me. I see so many things and don't know which to do. I am afraid topicals will make it worse, thinking of cayenne and olive oil topically.
thanks

I am a forty one year old male, and I have suffered with bad health for approx twenty years now..

I lived life in the fast lane from about the age of 17 to 22, working, training and drinking and looking back now my diet wouldn't have been great either.from what I can remember it was around the age of 22 or 23 I started having trouble with my stomach, it started with acid reflux and so it was around this time i was diagnosed with the antidepresent prozak. I would have taken this for a few months without really thinking too much about what they were, obviously the results must not have been good as I went off them. That was the start.

Over the next 12 or 13 years I had numerous hospital appointments where they put cameras up and down and done biopsys and found nothing, so they put it down to stress and called it irrital bowel syndrome. This is quite possible because when I think back now i was very stressed out at the time and didn't even know what stress was. I would have also taken different antidepresents during these years but never for more then a few months. I also tried alot of supplements.

Most of my life I felt run down and as if there was something lacking, and i put it down to pushing myself too hard at work as I am a roofer and my job is very physical..

As time went on the irrital bowel got worse and I needed more sleep breaks due to headaches and fatigue. After reading up on these conditions I feel that this developed into leaky gut syndrome.

Approx 5 years ago,the problems got much worse when my partner left and took my three small children with her.this caused me a great deal of stress and basically I think i suffered a nervous breakdown. I was prescribed more antidepresents including zanax, amitriptyline, centrax, seroxat and cymbalta which altogether i would have taken these over the period of two and a half years. When i did notice a slight improvment in mood and the ibs they did nothing for the headaches and fatigue.

I have not worked in the last 5 years as a new symptom has appeared and the best way I can describe it is a car with a broken altenator, when I do any physical work i get mentally shattered and takes me days to recover with lots of rest it's as if the battery runs down and theres nothing there to recharge it..

Some nights I sleep okay and others not but one way or another i have to sleep for two hours maybe more in the daytime due to a pain in my forehead that only sleep will cure..

Due to this wonderful website and your brilliant advice I'm having good results stomach wise with the alkalising formula of lemon/bs for three or four days a week and baking soda on its own after meals for the rest of the days. I also started using acv and cayenne pepper on salads and anything I fry is done with grapeseed oil but the fatigue and the headaches haven't changed.

I recently got my children back and since finding this website I finally think that I've found someone who knows what they're talking about and so i'd be really gratefull if i could get a reply from you ted detailing what I need to do so as i can get on with my life and look after my children in as normal a way as possible.

Thank you so much..

This isn't really a remedy, but my husband is having the same issues. After he did some research, he suspects he may have Lyme Disease. He is going to his doctor tomorrow to ask about it. Look into it. It's something, anyway.

My 50 year old husband had very similar symptoms - he had his testosterone levels checked (be sure to include your "free testosterone" level as well) - and he had the T level of an 80 year old man! (actually, he had less than that) Look up the symptoms of low testosterone and see if any of them fit... Good luck to you.

Hello,
My brother was diagnosed with hypogonadism and his symptoms were very much like yours. Might be worth having your thyroid checked for this. He must use a topical steroid every day (which I hope will end some day) but also he has changed his diet dramatically (Paleo) and has had amazing results.

Grain or gluten intolerances might be triggering some of your symptoms too (and these are also related to thyroid problems which happen to be hereditary in my family). Grain/gluten intol would also explain your leaky gut too.

Hopes this might help a little bit. And I pray that you are on the road back to wellness ASAP! .

All the best,
Christy

So, I'm glad I found this site. Anyway, my husband has been suffering with an unknown illness for months and months. Here is the chronology: Early November 2009, a lymph node behind his ear swelled - huge. Warm compresses fixed it within 24 hours. Right after Thanksgiving, he was having chest pains and went to the ER. They told him that he had an acid reflux problem - probably GERD. He took antacids, etc. February 2010, right after Valentine's, things really started to go down hill. He was feeling horrible - headache, body aches, dizziness, chest pain, stomach ache. They said he had a virus. He kept going to the ER, they kept running tests, and he was given a bazillion diagnoses. He was told he had viral meningitis. They did heavy metal testing, CAT scans, blood tests, urine tests, an endoscopy. He has not gotten better. Since then, he has been diagnosed with viral meningitis, GERD, gastritis, kidney stones, prostatitis, diverticulitis, ulcers, and IBS. He's been on various meds - RX and OTC. Nothing has helped. He thinks he has cancer, but they haven't found anything. He's a mess. As it stands, he has generalized aches and pains all over, his chest muscles hurt, his testicles hurt, the base of his neck hurts, he has heartburn, abdominal pain, loose/yellowish stool, dizziness, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and difficulty sleeping. Today, he thinks he has Lyme Disease. Over the fall, he was cutting deer. Right around the time the lymph node swelled, we found a tick crawling on the couch. He never developed a rash or anything, but that's where we are now. Anyone have a clue as to what may be going on? He has a colonoscopy scheduled in August.

The initial symptoms you describe match a case of Lyme Disease my boss is recovering from. She went to the doctor complaining of swollen lymph nodes in her neck, headache, stomach ache, dizziness, and body aches. Even though she had no rash or bullseye pattern, the doctor tested her for Lyme and it was positive. I would suggest having the test performed. If, however, it comes back negative, find a good holistic practioner in your area. I was having a series of bizarre symptoms two years ago at the age of 37. Two doctors told me I was just getting old, one told me it was impossible for me to be having the problems I was having, and another diagnosed me with atypical Interstitial Cystitis which meant that I had a reaction to the test, but it didn't explain all my symptoms nor was it a typical response.

As it turns out, I had parasites and food allergies. And all the antibiotics prescribed by the doctors who were trying to do something--anything--to help me depleted two forms of beneficial bacteria in my colon which wreaked havoc on my system. Had I not gone to the holistic practioner, I would have been put on a medication that would have treated the pain, but eventually I would have ended up on disability and later institutionalized because of the dementia that was quickly progressing.

I thought I had every blood and urine test known to man performed on me by the doctors in my area, but the holistic dr. performed two simple tests that immediately clued us in to the major issues.

Sounds like Cryptococcus Patti Menengitis. Air fungus
That you breath in gives a mild cough easy to miss then moves on to digestive system causing nausea, etc. Then to heart causing chest pain then to brain causing confusion, dementia, parkinsons, memory loss even shizophrenia in last days. Come and goes. Very difficult to get diagnosed because it requires a spinal tap with alot of other test. I believe I have this myself. I also believe each of my cats dogs and horses had this before they died. I cannot say if it was the final thing that took their lives. But they all showed signs of this along the way about a year before they died. Google it. It is now in southern california. Never used to be. European newspapers report that this is killing hundreds of thousands in our country and is an epidemic. Yet I have not read that here. Each of us makes our own decision on what we chose to believe as truth. Search for yourself. Study the facts and good luck. As I am still looking for something that cures it. Antifungal such as fluconazole suppresses but does not kill it. They can give it in IV but still does not kill it. H202 at 30 drops a day did not kill it or essiac. My mom also showed signs of this as well before she died too. Next I will try MethyleneBlue. The rate in this country in deaths has increased in the last few years. Telling me there is an extremely high rate of death here in the Us.

My neighbour has the fungus that you are talking about. The cure for it is to take expensive pills 3x a day. A specialist in Victoria, BC figured out what he had, He is much better now. He has it in his lungs. You have to take the medication for 10 months. Contact me at my email and I can get the name of medicine if you are interested. But doctor prescription only.

Re: fungal infections.... Please look up information on olive leaf oil extract. It is antifungal, antviral, and antibacterial. The liquid extract is better than the tablets or capsules.

Severe pain at ankle with bulge, but no diagnosis

Hello! Hope someone can help me as Dr's can't!

I have developed a very strange bump just above my ankle and it aches and my running days are over due to this constant pain and bulge. Went to the Dr and told me its inflamation, but then another Dr told me it has something to due about my muscles. I have don the ACV, the oil pulling, the epson salt and even took anti-inflammatory drugs to assist and nothing has helped. My Chiropractor massaged the hell out of it one day and it helped, but its been 5 months now and I am still in sever pain. Can anyone understand this or help?

Thanks-

Burning, red face

I need help diagnosing a problem my husband has been having on and off for the last 3 months. The skin around his lips and on his cheeks is bright red and the burning is VERY intense. He is olive skinned, but it looks like he has a terrible sunburn. Now it has become very dry and the skin is peeling off. His cheeks are somewhat swollen, too. At first we suspected he needed to detox and he has been taking herbs for that, but the condition keeps getting worse. He did see a doctor who did some bloodwork and an ultrasound on his abdomen and everything checked out fine. We are desperate for any ideas. It doesn't look anything like rosacea, but after doing an internet search, I can find nothing similar to what he has. We are living in a foreign country and I don't have a whole lot of faith in the doctors being able to diagnose this. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Sounds to me like a horrible case of dermatitis or eczema. You should get extra virgin coconut oil and have him take it as a supplement as well as put it on as lotion all over his face. It's either that which is a great natural treatment or you can pay hundreds of $ on steroid creams which work too but also have major health side offects. Your choice :) hope this helps.

EC: Warning re: coconut oil! Two people recently reported a terrible rash as a result of applying coconut oil!

I had this last week. Skin looks and feels like a chemical burn. Little blisters/pimples on lips. It is rosacea. I had it once before and it was like an itchy, bad acne break out. This bout was just as you described. I couldn't put the medication cream on, my skin was so raw. I just hydrated it, tried to get it to heal. Didn't go out because it looked bad and I couldn't cover it up with makeup. You can read how I treated under Rosacea.

EC: Rosacea remedies page is here: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/rosacea.html

I had this experience numerous times after I separated from my first husband. It would flare up and then linger for about a month. The bouts would occur when I was under incredible stress which of course, often happens in a separation or divorce. My skin all around my mouth would turn flaming red and puff up and distend! It was horrible and painful as the skin would be so taut it was hard to move my mouth and talk. It would then calm down after a couple of days and then the skin would completely dry out and then the process of peeling would begin. I would just try to keep it hydrated. In the swollen process it hurt first and then was followed with itching. Mine was completely related to emotions. Is your husband under a lot of stress? Emotions are very powerful things and equally important to our health as well as what we eat. BTW, a year into separation and finding my bearings, I have never had another bout with this again.

Hope this gives you some insight into another facet, Peace, Lisa
