Mystery Diagnosis

For the last couple days, I've been feeling a sensation in the left side of my head about four inches above my left eye just above the hair line. No pain. Just feels like drops of cold water falling on my head. Usually lasts a few minutes, not constant, I feel it every minute or so. Is this a symptom of anything or is it maybe nerves? Age 80. I only take 100 ct. Thyroid and vitamin d3,2000, and 500 ct of calcium. Don't take anything else. Any ideas on this. Thanks.

Hello Ms. Susan,

About that feeling of water dripping on head...

I have a guess.

This is a nerve disorder....hence occasional twitching. And the coldness is common with a nerve disorder.

Well, what just might be causing this could be an infection that has randomly struck.

If me, I'd try some topical applications....turpentine...maybe a few drops applied to surface where the irritation is focused. If it is an infection application of Echinacea and/ or colloidal silver applied topically might get to the subcutaneous nerve. To really get the stuff there if I added a few drops of DMSO, that combination would be a great carrier AND also the DMSO itself being anti inflammatory might help.

Just some ideas.

Hi Susan (Wv) --- I think it may be a nerve disorder. Since I am your age, I have had strange sensations on my scalp that kept wandering and I can imagine your concern. Someone younger than us reported recently the same on EC.

But since I apply warm sesame oil regularly to my head and in summertime VCO, it has not occurred again. Here I am lead by Ayurveda, with advice to do head oil treatment regularly. The herbal powder BRAHMI or also called GOTU KOLA is extremely beneficial for the brain and head and I have used it often and enjoy the calm brightness when taken it in warm water with honey if desired.

This herb is famous in India and also widely used for scalp infections and mental trouble. It has a wide range and is a superb blood cleanser so that it is also used for leprosy. Brahmi can be found in Indian stores. It is an herb that should be used in every household as advised by Vaidias , Ayurvedic doctors, in India. With over 5000 years wisdom, it surely is a blessing.

Best of success, Namaste, Om

I need some guidance. My 6 year old daughter has been a medical mystery since birth. As a baby she had some food sensitivities which she seems to have outgrown.

Her current ailment is about her reaction to illnesses. Any minor illness (UTI, ear infection, common cold) will be followed by excruciating back pain (she points to her spine) for a few days. It is bad enough she will be up all night and the pain is not relieved by Tylenol, heated rice bags, or anything else.

She also responds to illnesses by breaking out in hives. They can last for a few days to weeks. She is pretty clear in the mornings, but by evening they are all over her. Her feet will swell and hurt so much she has to crawl. The hives started when she was 2 years old and have been persistent. The back pain is new. Often the two will be combined.

We have taken her to MDs, specialists, and even my ND. No one seems to have an answer for her. I'm concerned that we may be overlooking a serious condition, but I'm not sure where to even turn at this point.

She has been tested for allergies (negative), Lyme (negative, but I have it), and has had all normal bloodwork other than it shows inflammation.

Any direction on where to search next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There is obvious immune dysfunction as well as inflammation here that has an underlying cause.

Cleansing w/ very warm baths of 1/4 cup Epsom Salts and 1/4 cup Borax will help. Do these at least once per week. Stop by your local health food store and purchase a broad spectrum herbal antiparisite formula. I personally recommend Black Walnut Complex (Nature's Answer). If you have pets also use this herbal formula in their food.

A good whole food multivitamin/mineral specifically for children will help. Many of the otc multi that are manufactured by pharmaceutical industry are not recommended as they are very poorly absorbed and utilized. One common otc brand that I personally recommend is NatureMade. Most local health food stores have the best product options as compared to major retail stores.

Green drinks or "green smoothies" (which are a combination of green foods like Barley and Wheat Grass, Spirulina, Chlorella, Kelp etc.) are very popular now for people needing natural cleansing and vital energy.

Sugar's Mom: maybe, until you get a better answer, you can start with anti-inflammatory foods and spices.

Hello Sugar's Mom;

Re Sugar's reaction to illness...

Here's a hunch. You mention that you have Lyme. Sugar is 6. If your lyme predated Sugar's birth then her problem might be congenital. Even though Sugar is negative on lyme tests, we know those tests are all over the map and some aspects of lyme can be present causing the inflammation reaction. Look on EC site for turpentine cleanse advice.

Also consider doses of colloidal silver to see if there is any reduction in her condition given her age and weight. I might try a teaspoon once a day of the CS. I don't know how to calculate the turpentine remedy. I've seen at least one case of hives reduce greatly with CS.

Look up charcoal remedies on EC too.

All the above is what I'd try if I had a child with such a condition. Why don't you run these ideas by your doctor.

You might try giving your daughter magnesium, such as magnesium citrate. Her body seems to be over-reacting to simple environmental-attack. Magnesium calms the body's defense-mechanisms. One 200 mg pill in the morning; or break the pill into two pieces then give one-half in the morning and one-half in the evening, typically with food.

It might be a good idea to consult a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner or a Homeopathic practitioner. These alternative branches of medicine can often treat and detect ailments the mainstream medicine cannot.

I have had constant pressure around my head for the last three and a half years. It is as if I had cling film wrapped tightly round my head. It is mild skull crushing. It is not a headache. There is no pain.

Any suggestions please as to what it may be and any possible remedy.

Charles, I just wanted to give you a suggestion because I had a similar condition years ago - but I realized it was the legs of my glasses had been worn tightly around my head for so many years. I didn't figure this out for about 1 year. The pain was similar to what you described...like a constant pressure around my head. I simply started wearing my glasses loser and ventured into using contacts every so often. For me, this did the trick. BTW, I didn't realize my glasses were tight....

Good Luck! MyWay, :D

I read in one of my prayer books by Kenneth E Hagin that he saw a small demon monkey like thing clutching a mans head in a head lock and the man had a headache and he told the demon to set the man free and it left. I am not saying that is your situation .

I experience times when I eat something that my head feels suddenly like I have a tight vise gripping my head while I'm still chewing the food and it lasts for awhile and goes away.

Magnesium comes in many forms and one affects the brain and not the gut , I believe it is magnesium theonate or L - threonate, I haven't tried that one but it works for migraines in some people and helps memory for others.

You asked for suggestions, forgive me if I said anything offensive.

What happened to your previous post? I remember you writing about this some two months ago. I replied but there was no answer.

I have been struggling with the same issue for the last 7 years or more. It is difficult to put in words because of the nature of the problem. It is not a headache, but a feeling of pressure inside the head. Like the feeling you experience when you try to connect two "+" magnets; but you feel it inside your head. Because of the nature of the problem, I was unable to find any help through web search. Some people online were describing the same experience but none had the answers. If I only knew the reason behind this pain it might have been easier to find a solution. Of course I visited neurologists but they had no answers. I even had a magnetic resonance imagining (MRI) test which showed my brain was perfectly healthy.

The pressure is alleviated when I press my hand against my head. When I am sitting in front of a table, I always rest my head on my hand, usually making it a fist and placing it beneath my chin. Or I place my hand on my forehead. That way the pressure becomes bearable and I am able to forget about it. It gets worse when I have to sit on a chair that has no table to put my arm on, which means that my head cannot rest on my hand. Then I start to notice it and struggle. I think of ways to somehow touch my head with a hand. For the same reason, lying on the ground (hard surface) on my back, my head pressing on the ground, also alleviates the pressure. But these are mere observations that are not very helpful.

A few years after I had developed the problems, I had the blessing to receive a herbalist's advice. He said I was exhibiting signs of wind (vata) aggravation. This refers to the theory of Ayurveda. He said that any contact with blowing wind will aggravate the pressure, and that I should avoid it. Sitting with fans on included. (Wind problem might also mess with your bowel movements, urination and eyesight. Thyroid issues might also be present. Also the feeling of cold in your feet and hands. I had them all to various degrees. You might be specifically prone to wind disorder if you have a wind or vata body type, a lanky emaciated type). And definitely, when I go to a shopping mall where the fans are on, my pressure immediately becomes unbearable. I was also able, on my own, to discover that ejaculation also makes the pressure become much worse. Check if this is true for you also.

The herbs that I used for my air problems and head pressure problem were Ashwagandha, Cleavers and Haritaki. I was also told to take Kaishore Guggulu but I was unable to get it at the time. Tell me more about the state of your health, for example if you are exhibiting any sings of air aggravation I had described above. I cured my belching, blurred eyesight and constant urinary tract infection with Ashwagandha pill 2 times in the morning and Cleavers tea 1 time in the morning and 1 time in the evening. The treatment had to be started with a three day long fast where I only drank water and ate raw fruits and veggies. I also had to drink plenty of water. But that did not cure the pressure. Maybe I should have taken them for a longer time.

Other herbs recommended to me were Haritaki and Kaishore Guggulu. I am now restarting my treatment.

Ashwagandha - warms the body, invigorates, for air disorders

Cleavers - cleans the lymphatic system

Haritaki - for air disorders, considered a king of medicine in Ayurveda

Kaishore Guggulu - formula that removes uric acid from the bones. This was specifically recommended for the pressure, though I am still looking for information on this formula. It detoxifies the musculoskeletal system. The connection might be it that the pressure in the head feels like it has to do something with the skull.

Anyway I will tell you what results I get.

Namaste Marcin, --

yes it is a vata symptom. I have had this over the years and it is as you describe it. It sort of disappeared when I used MahaNarayan oil, warmed and massaged into the scalp and the rest of the body. MahaNarayan oil has minerals added and is very beneficil for vata massage. So, warm oil massage is very important for vata as it is rejuvenating and unctuous for vata skin.

This should be a regular treatment.

OMG! I've had mysterious pressure around my head for the past 13 years... and it's much worse now than several years ago. Mine gets way worse around WIFI devices and EMF... but lately, it's just bad all the time. I've had 2 CLEAN MRI's... so it remains a mystery; but I'm working on it constantly... 'cause I don't want it to turn into a tumor, etc.

I can say this: It's MUCH better when I can mitigate WIFI and EMF... and also, interestingly when I was taking Diflucan and Mebendazole, I almost felt 'cured'... which to me indicates that it's highly mycotoxin/fungus/parasite related. Unfortunately, these 'remedies' are always only temporary... so eventually, I'm totally going to try Bill's basic Candida protocol in the hopes that it addresses my head issues.

I also notice that my head improves when I have nothing holding me back emotionally. I had a few 'secrets' I was keeping from my wife... and once I confessed them, my head felt better. This is not the 'cure'... but I firmly believe that the 'cure' will not be forthcoming unless emotionally/spiritually everything is out in the open.

Well... let's keep in touch. I'm still in the dark about my head... but always getting closer. LOL... It's funny... like you, I'm always trying to find ways to alleviate the pressure. I find that putting my hand on the worst spot alleviates it... as does wearing a headband around my head and/or sunglasses on my head. People think I'm crazy when they see me with sunglasses on my head while in pitch dark places. I even sometimes have to wear them in bed (which happens to be encased in an EMF blocking fabric... this seems to have helped).

Take care! Steve

Hello Marcin from Toronto

For Vata the oils have to be warmed. In the hight of summer, coconut oil is better as it keeps the brain cool. Ayurveda states for vata constitution to remain young and well, there should be regular oleation with plenty for the head . So for the ears and inner nostrils as well as private parts.

It is interesting that a well oiled body is well aligned to the stars which can be experienced. However, don't look for it.

Oiling the soles of the feet before bed, will bring restfull sleep. Every organ in the body would benefit.

Namaste, Om

Charles

Diflucan gets into the cerebrospinal fluid and works on the brain directly so the theory that the pressure is acutally caused by a fungus may be true. If this is the case then we need an antifungal substance that gets through the brain-blood barrier.

Moreover, medicine still does not understand nor recognize fungal or parasitic diseases as a problem because there are no reliable diagnostic tools for it, which may explain why we have not been properly diagnosed.

On the other hand, my pressure had started long before I developed any candida symptoms. I have had frequent sinusitis and used to eat a lot of sweets, though. However, at that time my digestion was perfect and I could eat whatever I wanted.

What you say about WIFI and EMF is interesting. There is definitely something about places like shopping malls that makes my pressure go unbearable. I figured out it must be something about the light, chemical smell, fans or electricity.

Hopefully my pressure has improved over the years up to a point where I don't have to wear a tight band over my head, but I do remember the pain.

For about four years my son has suffered from a sensation of pressure in the head "as if it were tightly encased in clingfilm". He has neither pain nor congestion, and it is precisely the absence of pain and mucus that has so far prevented a diagnosis. Can it be an unusual form of sinusitis? And if so, what is the cure? A scan has revealed nothing, and acupuncture has done no good. It's long continuance is making his life hardly worth living. We are desperate. PLEASE HELP!

Charles

Dear Mrs. A,

Re: You son...

You guess his condition might be some form of sinus problem. I'd try an anti viral just in case a specialty virus or fungus has infected deep in sinus cavity. If so it could be effecting his ears or even one ear...getting there via the Eustachian tube.

I use colloidal silver. Silver kills virus and fungus.

I use an ear syringe to squirt the CS deep into the sinus cavity. If it really stings then I know that I did indeed have an infection and the CS is killing it. The second irrigation into sinus cavity (and ear canals) would produce much less stinging. I squirt with enough pressure to make sure the CS gets deep. I repeat three or four times. If better then I know that the infection was the cause of symptoms and I keep it up in the case of a long lasting infection. I even drink the CS ... three tablespoons daily ... three times a day to make sure the infection is out of my system.

A: The first thing come-to-mind was intracranial hypertension but after reading the Wiki page the symptoms don't seem to suggest this as there is not the severity, but still worth reading so here's the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiopathic_intracranial_hypertension

Second thing come-to-mind is heavy metal toxicity. You can purchase a heavy metal test pack online and collect a sample of hair and mail it to the lab where they analyze for metals and minerals and mail you the results.

As Dave suggested, infection can be present. Other factors to search are foods especially additives found in processed foods.

A decongestant and mucous relief will make the sinuses drain. It took years to figure that out. I assumed that I had no sinus problems because I wasn't draining. Not draining was the problem. If the pressure has gone on too long, I also take ibuprofen or the like to get the pressure down.

Greetings EarthClinic Family,

I read Bill's book on candida and my life is slowly changing. I feel better in many ways even though I'm still undergoing the treatment and into my 5th month. I take it seriously and do the ACV, iodine + baking soda, turpentine and borax powder water, avoid bad foods. My stomach is flat and I've lost 7 lbs (I weigh 107 and am 52.) My complexion is much better although I had a severe breakout recently (4th month), I think I may have had a delayed herxheimer effect or was slow in getting rid of the systemic fungus. Does that make sense?

My new husband, a very handsome 55-year-old who looks 40, is not good internally. I've looked online to find what he may have and cannot locate except he could have fibromyalgia (I don't believe that's it which is why I'm throwing this email out to you guys, and Bill and Ted, of course.)

He's bloated often, except when he wakes up in morning. He's got acute anxiety--let's people know how wrong they are on the phone, and often asks for "their supervisor." (He's really a gentleman inside but gets this way often.) He volunteers as a prison minister on Thursdays for four hours and has been doing this for 10 years. He's a cyclist and works out at gym (although he's slacked off a bit lately.) He does not work for anyone but works a tad (spinning his wheels making occasional loans.) I don't think he's capable of working a real job for anyone else. He'd be miserable.

Here's his symptoms: extreme sensitivity to many things such as light, sound and smell. He can smell something bad in the fridge while its in a closed drawer and must have "just gone" bad. I cannot really smell it even close up! We clean out fridge every Monday.

He is sensitive to others and gets feelings hurt easily. He gets acid reflux and gas occasionally (unsure if this has anything to do with what he's got, but I'm listing everything I can in case any of you have any ideas on what this could be. He thinks he needs an anti-depressant (I do too sometimes) or some type of anti-anxiety medication. He has to maintain order in house or gets stressed. He's almost a hoarder but not--treasures many things in general and saves them. He brushes teeth and drinks those protein shakes but has a film on his tongue and uses a scraper to remove the film (he swears it's just the "shake.") He's got breath issues sometimes too. Eats "okay"--definitely wouldn't work with my candida so we rarely eat together.

Please someone help or his anxiety could destroy us. He gets angry and disrespects me often, speaking down at me. It will destroy our relationship and we're just 10 months in. If you have any ideas I would appreciate your input.

Dear Robby, It seems to me your husband is very neurotic. Now neurosis is a condition that stems from unresolved feelings. Therefore you can not figure your way out of said feelings. This is why he keeps looking for odors in the frig. and such. Unless he is a war veteran who suffered severe trauma, or car accident and such his neurosis may have started as a child or infant. There is PRIMAL THERAPY but it is not readily available. Hopefully he can find a therapist who can help him and you and or some self help group.

Hello Robynrenee, Re your husband...

Sounds like system wide infection. The coated tongue is more evidence. That condition is likely fungal and or viral. I used to have a coated tongue but after taking a swallow of Colloidal Silver a few times a week and leaving in the mouth for a minute so the tongue was covered, that problem went away. If the problem is, indeed system wide, swallowing two tablespoons twice daily for me, was enough to turn around systemic infection. Assuming the infection is not in the brain via an old ear infection, six months on CS might be sufficient. Ask him if he has had persistent or a few VERY severe ear infection that predated the sensitivity matter...hearing, smelling light sensitivity. If so, write back; I'd suggest ramping up the protocol.

The heart needs vitamin D3 ( adequate sunshine) and the major minerals, and perhaps you're lacking in Calcium, Magnesium, and the very important Potassium. Heart palpitations, arrythmia, can result, is scary, and makes laying down very uncomfortable, even impossible for some as the heart then wants to be elevated by sitting up. Blackstrap Molasses is rich in Calcium, Potassium and Iron, and eating even a teaspoon to a tablespoon of it can help stabilize the heart's rhythm within a minute or two. Taking in a larger quantity of potassium can also ease the bathroom process, and a lot can loosen the stool, just so you know.

Urine stream with low pressure. Same with ejaculation. What is wrong with me? Is the problem within the gut? Leaky gut syndrome?

Hello Mustafa;

You describe what could be Atrial Fibrillation. A Fib is usually associated with a lack of Magnesium. The "pounding in chest" could be heart's irregular beat. (Epsom Salts baths are a great way to get magnesium into the cells of the system as well as Mag caps.)

Also you say it is worse in the morning; this could be a stomach ulcer. You need to kill the underlying virus/bacteria...I use Colloidal Silver plus DGL (a licorice extract) plus aloe Vera broken into two doses of all the above twice daily on empty stomach. One of the doses must be at night before bedtime.

OR...if the condition is "gastritis" (pan gastritis) as the Turkish Doctor said then that condition is an inflammation of the stomach lining. Such inflammation of the stomach lining is usually a viral infection, so again the Colloidal Silver will kill that infection. I'd use the same formula for that as for a stomach ulcer.

You only give two real clues: "pounding in chest" and "worse in the morning"... so my best guess was those three possible causes. (And what the Turkish Doctor said.)

You were talking about "running and stop order" or something like that and I was not clear what you were saying. If you have any more description, I'd be happy to try again but if you try the combo of Epsom Salts baths (along with taking Magnesium caps) plus Colloidal Silver and DGL plus aloe, you might just find you hit on a solution.

I always...and I mean always assume a virus MIGHT be working. No harm making sure those little monsters are not the underlying cause of the problem. (Hence, the CS...which kills virus/fungus and bacteria.)

Mustafa, Are you getting sufficient major minerals for your heart? It sounds like you're trying to describe heart palpitations, as if your heart is telling you not to run. Calcium, Magnesium, and the very important Potassium, our hearts need. Vitamin D3 too, which means adequate sunshine. But Potassium is so vital, that whether it's in a capsule to take with one's meal, or by way of a food like blackstrap Molasses, it's important. These minerals are essential for the heart. Molasses is rich in Calcium, Potassium, and Iron; You can take a spoonful, and see how it helps you. A teaspoon to a tablespoon seems to be enough to stabilize the heart rhythm quickly, especially when we eat it regularly, as often as we need it, even daily. So you know, taking larger quantities of Potassium can also result in easing the bathroom visits, and too much can result in a loose stool. Finding the right amount and frequency to meet one's needs is a good thing.

Was wondering if you could help me find any solutions for getting menstrual-like cramps at he age of 64!

Thanks, Milena

Milena, Too much garlic one isn't accustomed to, can cause enough gas to do a convincing imitation of menstrual cramping. If it is cramping caused by hormonal imbalances, then Borage Oil ( liquid or gel caps) can be a very good answer. This is frequently used by women in menopause or peri- menopause to gain hormonal stability through the change of life.

Dear friends! I really need your help! My mum has suffered from extreme acid in her mouth, followed by backpain and feeling of pulsating and painful stomach ulcer. According to gastroscopy, there are no ulcers, but she suffers and the butchers keep giving her more anti-acids. What could this be? She has suffered a heart attack and is on a lot of medications that she does not plan to stop, but due to back pain and palpitations, she gets scared for her life every time.. Please help, what is this, and how do I help her?

Lisa

Lisa, a safe and gentle way to start might be to upgrade her diet to a more alkaline one.

Lisa
Posted by Cda (Tucson, Az.) on 01/28/2015

Lisa, your mom may need to alter her diet to eat more raw vegetables or take digestive enzymes to aid her in avoiding the reflux. Perhaps she needs core-strengthening exercises to sidestep the back pain, or is the "back pain" in her kidneys? If so, the herb Red Clover can cleanse them. Palpitations of the heart point to major mineral deficiencies, particularly Potassium, which can be supplemented through capsule or diet. Molasses is rich in Calcium, Potassium and Iron, and while the heart also needs vitamin D3 ( adequate sunshine), and Magnesium, it's at least a good start in getting the Potassium one needs. For stabilizing the heart rhythms, it is often taken daily, as the heart needs its essentials daily. With Blackstrap Molasses, a teaspoon to a tablespoon, depending on weight and whether one has eaten or not, seems to be sufficient. Taking too much on empty can result in a loose stool.

For 2 months, my hair is falling out by the clumps, it's thinning at an alarming rate. My scalp is also itching and burning. I am also experiencing extreme thirst and no matter how much I drink, it doesn't go away. I was put on Kentocornizole (so) tablets because the doctor thought it was a yeast over growth, the medication did not work. I switched to an over the counter gentle T-Gel shampoo, that hasn't helped. I was checked for diabetes about 3 months ago because I was dealing with sever daily chronic migraines (had them for 1 1/2 years)...I finally found out myself that I was not having migraines but severe sinus infections (how numerous doctors and neurologists couldn't figure that out is beyond me). Since I am extremely thirsty I am thinking this is an internal issue rather than external...but I just don't know. Any advice on what I may have or what I should do is appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Pact12345,

I have a couple of thoughts. I imagine other posters here will have more thoughts and hopefully among them all you will be able to figure out what to do.

My first thought when you said that you had hair falling out was "infection." I have heard a couple of times of ladies who had a sickness and following it they had major hair fall out. Do you still have sinus infection symptoms? You could try Dave's colloidal silver irrigation of the sinuses and ears, or other ideas on the sinus infection page here at Earth Clinic.

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/sinus_infection.html

You can also see the page on hair loss to try to encourage regrowth.

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/hair-loss-alopecia-women.html

In the fall I was possibly exposed to lice so treated myself as if I had it. I used castor oil and coconut oil with tea tree essential oil on my scalp. I did have new hair growing in after a time. This may also help with an itchy scalp. I mixed a jar up with 1/2 cup castor and extra virgin coconut oils and added a teaspoon or two of tea tree essential oil. It is super duper messy. I would I carefully massaged it into the scalp and left it on a couple of hours (I wrapped my head in plastic and then a towel). It took a couple of washings to get it all out. I repeated a few times in a month on myself and daughters. Do this gently, though if you are losing hair.

My other thought, as soon as you said, ""Thirst, " was "Thyroid." I was having severe unquenchable thirst and found out it was because my thyroid was low. I have been using Lugol's iodine and companion nutrients for years. If I run out of iodine, my symptoms return after a while. There is a lot about it on Earth Clinic.

https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/lugols-iodine-treatment-bill-thompson.html

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/hypothyroidism.html

While you are trying to figure out what is going on, some extra vitamin C would be good. Also, a teaspoon or two of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar in a tall glass of water once or twice a day has helped so many with such a variety of problems, it would be an easy thing to try.

I would look for hidden sources of MSG in your diet as that can cause thirst.

Please let us know what you find out! I hope you are feeling better soon.

~Mama to Many~

Hello Pact 12345,

Re the scalp condition et al...

To figure this out...if hormonal or a disturbed endocrine system or a fungal invasion, it would be helpful if you told us how this all started. Have you been on meds ... what and why....

I note the infection issue is present too. That is an indicator that maybe the heart of the problem is viral/fungal. If you just want to start up with attacking that aspect, it's easy enough...just get a bottle of colloidal silver and start topically applying to scalp as well as irrigating the sinus, ears and gargling. Drink two tablespoons twice daily. If this thing attacking you is viral, you'll start getting relief in a few days. You might have to be on the CS for six months to kill the virus...if the cause is a virus. I'm not convinced that the cause of your problem is viral/fungal.

Of course, that could be PART of the issue. So nothing lost in making sure no viruses are doing damage to an already damaged situation. I'm thinking endocrine system. Now it is totally possible to have an infection in one of those glands that compose the endocrine system. I presume your doctors have taken saliva samples to see what your endocrine is doing...correct?

But back to some basics...please tell us how this whole thing started...if with some sinus infection and then you started having scalp and headache issues (sinus)...then if the inception of symptoms was close to a bad infection, then I'd be blaming virus/fungus. Only one thing might indicate virus as the culprit...that sinus infection you mentioned. The CS will knock out the sinus infection. If it's quality CS. I use an ear syringe to squirt the CS deep into sinus cavity. That gets it into Eustachian tubes too where LOTS of bacteria/fungus/virus hide.

Please report back and give a detailed description of inception...back to before the bad symptoms you describe began. Was there a prior infection? Describe. HOW did symptoms first start?

Dear Pact12345: Since you are in college you are probably getting a lot of hidden sources of MSG which explains the sinus infection. Mama to Many's suggestion of extra vitamin C, especially before you go to bed would be beneficial.

I had read a vitamin B-6 deficiency could result in hair loss and fluid retention. Because it is important to take all the B's together, so you don't cause a deficiency in any of the others, you might get a high potency B-Complex supplement.

I would suggest taking Blackstrap Molasses because it is an excellent source BUT with what has happened to our food supply you have to be so careful not to get too much sugar from other sources.

Sounds crazy simple, but wean off the meds and bathe in natural Borax in as hot as water as you can stand, about 1-1/2 to 2 cups, once in the morning and once in the evening, dunk your head back in too, but not your eyes (a few drops of room temp black tea in the eyes will help treat that area - stings for a moment but harmless). Boron is naturally part of your cells so you won't have an allergic reaction to it, but your skin will likely turn red or rashy briefly initially from the heat and the die-off as you likely are dealing with parasites similar to scabies with mange-like symptoms and difficult to detect and treat.

These are a new emerging health problem, especially affecting people who have spent a lot of time hiking, on farms, in gardens, around animals or dirt. Drink a couple glasses of cold water afterwards to rehydrate yourself and cool down. Do the Borax baths twice a day for 2 weeks and then a few times a week for maintenance - it may take a very long time to get rid of it entirely, but I have no doubt you will see quick improvement right after you start. Borax is cheap at the Dollar store. I have done this and know of others who have and it works every time.

You could also at the same time do other things that are helpful if you're able to such as alternating drinking different anti-parasitic teas (sweet annie/Chinese wormwood, rosemary, cilantro, etc.), use neem or tea tree soaps, pine tar shampoos, make an oil to spray on your skin mixing mineral oil or deep tanning oil (without any sun block) with 5-10 drops of clove oil and/or tea tree oil to apply to everywhere on your body, and avoid foods that feed bacteria or parasites and help them grow or create an acidic environment they thrive in - avoid coffee (instead drink black tea or lemon water with no sugar or herb teas), no soda, sugared drinks, no fruit juices (eat real organic or non-chemical-treated fruit and vegetables instead), no artificial sweeteners/chemicals, dyes, no white processed foods like white bread, white rice, pasta except 100% whole-grain, preferably rye, brown rice, sprouted or gluten-free.

Eat plenty of protein to build your cells like beans, seeds, nuts in salads, eggs, fish and lean meats, and get plenty of fresh air and sunshine - the UV kills the parasites too so don't wear sunscreen for at least a couple hours (and if you do make it natural/100% organic). Probiotics are also very helpful to add good immune-supporting bacteria to your system, and the best all-natural vitamin/nutrient product I've found that is potent and easy to take is the Alive powder shake with pea protein which comes in chocolate, vanilla, and green apple. It comes in a large canister and lasts a long time, can be expensive, but if you get it online it can be found on sale for about $20-25. Hope this helps & best wishes! :-)

Another poster said that the anti-fungal medication her doctor put her on, caused her hair to fall out, so I'd check the side-effect list on your medication if I were you. A lot of Folic Acid (a B vitamin) can help bring in new thick hair if one takes it for a few months, although new sprouting incoming hair should be seen within one month. Perhaps you do have an overgrowth of yeast the way you describe the sensations, maybe the medication just wasn't effective. How about a natural shampoo with Tea Tree Oil? ( And an anti-fungal diet? Or using Virgin Coconut Oil in your diet and on your scalp?) There are pharmaceuticals that can cause chronic thirst, but a marked deficiency of Potassium can also cause a thirst that cannot be satisfied.

Thank you for your comments and thoughts. Before finding Dr Wilsons nutritional balancing, I could only eat cooked veg and never starchy veg. And it is recommended for those with adrenal problems and copper toxicity. Any kind of juice made me feel ill. Not that it has worked. My adrenals are still dead. And my metal load is high, mineral load almost nil. Almost no metabolism etc etc. I don't think I can digest the carrots but thanks for your thoughts.

Last year I watched JFK shows. He had addisons and thyroid disease, also in terrible chronic pain, IBS and the rest. He ran a country, a family, extended family, affairs, was adored by many, but he could live in a house, be in the same room with people, could breathe. Of course, he took a long list of drugs to do this. No one could say his life wasn't full and rich despite the pain. But I don't know how to achieve anything when I can't get any improvement on any front no matter what I try. It might help if I was a religious person. Unfortunately, my father was a minister of the church and also very abusive so I haven't followed that path.

I only had 2 EDTA IVs because I can't go in a building or near other people. I have used suppositories and orally. My understanding is EDTA will pull out the heaviest metal first. I have every toxicity possible except mercury. My lead and cadmium did come down a bit. But in trying to understand this I understand sick people don't detox well. My liver stage 1 works too well, stage 2 is too slow, my bowels, gut, kidneys are all too slow so I would have just reinfected myself. Copper is best removed with zinc, I believe, and no surprise mine was very low. And if you're adrenals are bombed you will accumulate copper so I'm not sure how good any detox is if you're adrenals are dead. I hope this helps someone else. I used clays, zeolite, chlorella, cilantro, ST; apparently all too harsh for someone sick. And it didn't bring the levels down. Hope this helps someone else.

Robyn: I tried Liposomal Encapsulated EDTA a few months ago for the removal of Manganese toxicity but I had to quickly stop as I also have all other minerals deficient. In this case, I was taking on radiation (which is a chronic problem w/ mineral deficiency but very much aggravated by this therapy).

You can purchase a $40 Ultrasonic Cleaner from Amazon plus a container of Lecithin Granules for about $15. An empty 32 or 48oz plastic bottle for mixing. Be sure to drink lots of water to help flush out the copper.

Hi, I've been visiting planetthrive for many years now. Although I don't suffer seizures all day long I do, I can't breathe most of the time, I am in pain ALL the time to the point I have to take morphine, then I have the reactions you would know of when I smell toxic things. I didn't meet anyone on there that has had this without knowing what's going on for 21 years, totally on their own and living in a car. They don't discuss much more than brain retraining now. I did nlp enthusiastically 15 yrs ago. But not knowing I was still breathing in, ingesting more poisons, allergic foods ruining my gut even further so now I have addisons & thyroid disease. From tests I apparently don't metabolise much. Doing new age stuff, tapping, nlp any of that stuff while being ignorant of what's really going on is bad! Whilst you don't want to make it worse by being stressed out of it in your mind I believe you can't ignore the biochemical. And no, I don't give a rats about diagnosis. Like fibromyalgia so they can give me a barrage of drugs, all that hurt me. The other diagnosis are real. I don't have the hormones that keep you alive. If you ignore a diagnosis of addisons you will be dead very soon. Thanks for making contact.

Thank you to those who commented. I looked up the Joni Eareckson Tada story as I have looked up many without limbs or in wheelchairs that have gone on to be politicians, sportspeople, run foundations or back causes. As Joni says she is not in pain 24/7 never ending. She has some days of pain. Even though she has people to help her and many that love her she still feels despair sometimes. But she has a life of purpose. To bring awareness to those with chemical sensitivity, actually it's an all encompassing sensitivity, we can have anaphalactic reactions or seizures to grass, dust, fragrance supposedly made from natural products 1. Many of us have pain non stop. It changes who you are. Living on morphine for the rest of your life is not much of a future. 2. Even though I have limbs attached and am not in a wheelchair and to all I look perfectly well most of the time I can't move my arms for a drink of water or to chop up veges, certainly not to pick up a phone, even if I could because it didn't electricute me causing me even further excruciating pain that lasts all day. I'm sensitive to emfs. 1 email a day is it for me & I pay for that. 3. Joni and most live in a house and sleep in a warm bed not like those that can't tolerate building materials. 4. Many have support otherwise how do you stay alive? Not being able to get food much less cook it. And that's just the basic. 5. What about being loved? Joni admits to being grateful for that. 6. And for that reason passes it on doing work with the disabled. This gives her purpose. If you are laying on the ground or in a car because you can't move with no improvement as each decade passes what is the purpose? 7. I found another woman laying on the floor unable to move very bitter about being abandoned by her family. I haven't seen or heard from mine for over a decade when I was called schizophrenic. I was hauled in by the police not once, twice but 3 times in an enclosed vehicle with their heavy deodorants, driven through a very busy area with all the petrol, dragged into a hospital with all the cleaning fluids with staff also with heavy deodorants, toxic washing powder in their clothes, put in a room with 8 students all with perfumes on & they tried to force drugs down my throat. I react very badly to any drugs. As the pain in my body reached unbelievable heights I was locked in a newly painted room without a window. My life was being threatened by a mentally disturbed woman while they decided my demise after having threatened me with keeping me in for a week for observation. Does this happen to people in wheelchairs? Noone could see the distress my body was in. They didn't test my liver, or cortisol levels, or mineral levels or heavy metals to see that I would have a genuine reason for being so distressed. 8. Many of us don't even have the most basic needs met, besides food, I haven't had a hug for over 10 yrs, it's been longer than that since I had a hair cut, I wear what I slept in because even though I have limbs I can't use them. I can't reach up to my head to wash my hair, over my head to put a jumper on, pick up a towel so showers are rare. I don't imagine this is how most quadriplegics live.

So how on that basis when you can't go near a phone, rarely use a computer, can't bathe or clothe yourself on most days, food is a nightmare would you do community work, run a foundation or do anything to help anyone else even though you would like to?

HI U ROBYN, , , , , , , , , for some reason, I don't believe a word you wrote. You say you can't get on a computer, but you had to stay on one for 30 minutes or so to write your story.

You want help? Then ask for it. These folks would love to help you, but you wrote a ditty that is supposed to put us all on a guilt trip. The USA now has 51% victims as citizens. Your story tells me that you too are a victim. A victim of what? I have hoed my own row and suggest others to do the same. When I get in deep stuff, I ask for help and this site responds. They will for you too.

Robert Henry, I wasn't on the computer for 30 mins because some of it was pretyped from the day before. That's what I have to do to send an email. There was no intention of guilt tripping. Not one for asking for help, being the rescuer was usually my role I started to ask for help 10 yrs ago as I got down to 36 kgs but got it from nowhere. Except recently people on here have offerered support and I'm very grateful. I've done everything anyone has ever suggested. And certainly hoed my own row for the 21 yrs I knew I had a problem, ordering my own lab tests, trying everything. If you can't carry food, prepare it, even put it to your mouth it certainly doesn't help you get better and does change your view of humanity. Many people haven't believed me. I can stand another. It doesn't mean I consider myself a victim. I also don't think I've been blessed with the "lucky" gene. The help I was asking for was ideas on how to live any sort of life this disabled. I've looked up all the hero stories I could but as one counsellor told me it's pretty hard to help others if you can't even get dressed or have a shower yourself.

Well Robert Henry - it was just a few short weeks ago when you didn't believe Mama to Many was “real” ... now, you're on a rant about Robyn suggesting she is putting people on a guilt trip.

You said that the USA has “51% victims as citizens” (are these your statistics?). How does that help anyone on a site where people from around the world are looking for advice about their health problems or sharing their solutions?

A little bit of compassion and understanding goes a long way. Here's what Mmsg from Europe had to say to Robyn: 07/22/2014: Mmsg from Somewhere, Europe: "Robyn, I don't know how I can help you but I love you and suspect that many here do too, without ever having seeing you!! Whoever we are, we send you hugs and hope, even though we don't yet know how/what will help you."

Well said, Mmsg! I hope Robyn gains strength from your words.

Bess: It has long been suspect that no matter how much great advice, love, encouragement etc. that people have showered on Robyn here on E.C. she remains seeming chained to an undying pessimism. It seems like a hopeless case.

It's a sad state in much of the world. There are un-rehabilitate rescued pets, adopted children far to damaged to ever repair. Often, the caregiver takes a loss. My few yrs as a Nurse Assistant had several cases of being hit, bit, slapped, clawed, etc and there is nothing to be done as the patient has all the rights and the workers have no defense. The world is literally full of people that have pain as their closest friend. Alcoholism and substance abuse is overcrowded w/ this category.

Back in the mid 20th century there was a psychologist that explored the basis of such insistence on pleasure/sex & pain & death; his findings (can't think of his name right now) expanded some of Freud's theories of Id-Ego w/ the fundamental pleasure/pain principle. Very simple, we are all conceived in pleasure and born in pain. Most world religions aim at transcending or mortifying these basic carnal imprints, compulsions, and behaviors.

Well, what a rant. At least there is some knowledge on this subject that can lead to the possibility of cure, otherwise it's a lost condition.

Robyn
Posted by Robyn (Melbourne) on 07/25/2014

Timh, some people don't get rescued, adopted or have a caregiver to claw back at. Or talk to about treatment options would be great. You try sleeping in a car by yourself as a woman where you don't even fit, sick & unable to get food. Try 1 week, just one where you have one eye open half the night to ensure you don't get attacked. If doctors had the knowledge or more than 10 mins to give 20 yrs ago I'm sure I & my organs would be in a much better position for some of this advice to work. What sounds like undying pessimism to you is frustration that what has worked for others doesn't work for me and I keep trying. Pain changes you. Read some of the worst fms questionnaires - they're not a barrel of laughs either. If stating facts makes people uncomfortable I won't post on here anymore. There's not many places to look for advice and definately noone to talk to about it. This has been a source of comfort.

Robyn

Toxicity, frontal lobe damage, inflammation, chromosome 22 damage, liver, gut, metabolic damage, hcl, mineral, good bacteria deficiency, missing aminos, thyroid, adrenal dysfunction, acidity, infections can all cause chemical sensitivity apart from a need to hang onto pessimism. If you haven't had to endure anaphalactic reactions several times a day for decades without having a clue what's going on perhaps you shouldn't comment. I have clinical depression also and can't take medication because of reactions to it. Although, until I can improve living conditions; ie. living in a car talking to noone not even on birthdays or xmas it wouldn't make a difference. You could hold a gun to someone's head with depression and they may not be able to think a positive thought. The world is full of people and till you swap places with them who are you to judge? Your comments might be just enough to tip them over the edge. You don't know what they're hanging on to or not.

Dear Ted, I visited this site often whilst I was living in an old car because I was so reactive to building materials, allergic to the world & living in unfathomable pain. I learned I had adrenal, thyroid, pancreatic, liver, kidney, immune, digestive issues after tests I had to get myself. Noone was interested. My heavy metals are much less but I can't shift off the chart ca, mg, cu & other important minerals are low. Cheap food was blamed. I have just got tests back showing Borellia burgdoferi, lyme cysts, lyme neurotoxins, lyme biofilm, nanobacteria, barmah forest is still active- I got that 23 yrs ago, 3 forms of mycoplasma, ag chemicals, stachybotrys mold, group 644 molds, aspergillus fungus, bordetella, H Pylori and salistosoma.

I didn't mention the ross river, glandular fever or CMV that I got 23 yrs ago because I thought they'd just found the antibodies. Apparently they are still in my body, sometimes active.I am still totally on my own with this. Can't find a Dr. to treat me or a friend. All I have is the pain. I think I understand biofilms have to be removed first. And molds won't move while metals are still in place. Its taken yrs to balance my hormones, drink broths, take colloidal minerals, eat more salt, plenty greens, alkalise etc.

This is too much for 1 person.

Robyn
Posted by Robyn (Melbourne) on 06/16/2016

25 yrs later still extreme pain that never stops, still severe mcs so I can't enter most buildings, go near most people, still alone. I have appreciated anyone that has taken interest in my situation. I remember Ted saying sometimes he gets frustrated as he makes recommendations but doesn't get any feedback. I give feedback but most times it isn't posted. I refer to Bill trying to help me out giving me strategies for removing excess calcium. My mg is just as off the charts. I have taken enzymes away from food for years, taken the chanca piedra, Virgin Coconut Oil I am unable to take as fats make me feel severely ill. (I can tolerate krill oil). The cilantro, chlorella nor zinc have removed the off the chart copper. I have read that the ca, mg, cu although is lying in my tissues and coming out through my hair looks as if I'm toxic but I'm actually deficient because I'm not absorbing them. Osteoperosis and chipped teeth could be evidence of that. So I have very poor adrenals, thyroid, liver, kidneys but I have perhaps just found out why. Diagnosed with lyme, still barmah forest which I got 25 yrs ago, possibly got lyme at the same time, lyme cysts, biofilm in my gut, h pylori, molds, 3 forms of mycoplasma, fungus & agricultural chemicals. We can't get medical attention here in Australia for lyme. I've tried many alternatives to no avail. Alkalising was extremely painful (I think I'm alkaline enough), bioresonance, vit c & salt therapy made me suicidal. The pain is already at a level I can't bear so taking herbs or other that makes the pain worse just isn't an option. The only thing I can think of to help myself is ozone. Just another thing that we can't get here in Aust. Does anyone have any recommendations? The mcs prohibits me from staying on the computer too long and there is so many ozone generators, costs as much as the machine itself to get it here. A lot of them could be rubbish. Can anyone help? I feel like I'm too sick to ever get better. I have used oxygen tanks before also to no avail.

Dear ORH,

Yes, we are a bit backwards regarding natural medicine. I know I read something on here and when I try to obtain it, it's not available and I get blank looks, but the up side we don't have to worry about seeing a doctor. Everybody gets medical and hospital care.

Um.... medical care... it depends. If you have something that shows up on a standard blood test then yes. Otherwise, you are put in the chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia or too hard basket. No medical care for those with lyme disease. Many doctors have been banned for treating it. It took 25 yrs for a diagnosis & I still can't get a Dr.to treat me. And when there was going to be a senate enquiry there was over 1000 submissions from others who could not get medical treatment. Some of us do have to worry about seeing a dr.

Benzathine penicillin intramuscular 1/month for one year, was the end of Lyme disease for my neighbor.

After following this site for years whilst living in a car because my MCS was so bad I recently reported I was diagnosed with lyme, cysts, gut biofilm, h pylori, barmah forest, 3 forms of mycoplasma, molds & toxic metals. I knew my adrenals, thyroid, liver, pancreas weren't working. So whilst tea tree oil (special formula), antibiotics, salt & vit C, herbs, CBD oil worked for others it put me into another realm of pain that I can't tell is a reaction or a herx. In any case, I was completely suicidal. Himalayan salt I can take at any time, same with vit c but together not. I was also doing clove oil & Apple Cider Vinegar from here, oil pulling. I can't eat vco. I didn't do all these at once by the way. I get cold sores often so at those times take olive leaf & lysine. If I have gut biofilm no wonder my tests say I can't metabolise carbs, proteins, fats & I don't make ATP. So for that was taking enzymes away from meals, acv, clove oil. Nothing works! Has anyone tried stem cells? I have osteoarthritus in my neck which is what they are using it for here or mostly knees. But can the cells divert to needed areas like immune system? Here they are doing lipo, extracting the cells & putting them back in you same day which I believe only gives you 1% stem cells compared to having them harvested for a few weeks. Since I have addisons I don't know that this wouldn't be too stressful for me anyway. The only other thing I can think of is ozone. Of course, we don't have that here & my attempts at getting a machine here hasn't worked but I'll keep trying.

I have been looking on here for years. I am still homeless, in severe pain, mcs still bad, shocking fatigue, in other words nothing has changed. I had reported my adrenals, thyroid, liver, pancreas are very dysfunctional, according to tests no metabolism going on. I knew I was very metal toxic. The cu toxicity that won't budge could also be non absorption not a toxicity at all. The ca similar. But I didn't know I had all these virus. Nothing I seem to do helps. Given that its 25 yrs of this hell antibiotics nor antivirals are probably not going to help now. I'm sure people can relate to some of this but I've just had a birthday to remind me 1/2 of my life has been lost to crying in pain & xmas. I never see or talk to anyone on either. Family don't believe you can be sick for so long. I was just relooking at methylene blue because here they are doing some research on acriflavine for killing virus, boosting immune. HELP! I really don't see any hope.

Hi, I am hoping to get the opinion of an expert, but to be honest any advice would be very much appreciated. I am experiencing extreme burning all over my body. If I sit down the burning is on my backside, if I lie down the burning is on my back, if I wear a control/support bra I get a dire burning all over both breasts- it gets to an intolerable stage at times. I definately cannot go out into the sun, as the sun sensitivity is extreme, and therefore I am effectively confined to the house with the summer here. I take medication, and I went to the doctor explaining that I thought it could be that as it seemed to get particularly worse after I take it, however she didn't seem too convinced, but she did change my pills. It is a couple of days now and I am still experiencing the burning. I am wondering does anybody know of any other reason what could be causing this if it is not the medication, and in regards to the medication how long would it usually take for one medication to go out of the system. Our house water is particularly bad but I don't know if this could cause a problem like this - flouride etc?. I live rurally and it is limited as to what services are available but I am wondering would a hair analysis be of any use or who would you contact about this. I am desperate. Thanks in advance.

Hello Carly from EU;

Re the itching problem you relate... Google "itching 70 causes" an article with photos on "healthline"...

My big question is ... when did the problem start? Did anything proceed in time the onset? I mean some event like an infection; like starting with the meds you mentioned; like an insect bite/bites etc. That might help narrow the search for the cause.

If you really need specific answers you must provide specific facts of the "medication" or "pills" as there are thousands of them and most very different from each other. Type the name of the medication in a search engine fallowed by "side effects".

Hi Carly...It may well be that the old meds you were taking were causing the burning skin. It also would have been helpful if you had let us know your medical problems and also told us the old and new meds you were and are taking so that we could check their side-effects for you.

You might have taken medications for which you have high sensitivity to their side-effects. These meds might have caused nerve damage in your skin making your skin over-sensitive to both pressure and sunlight. Unfortunately you haven't told us what these meds are so we can't find out.

A possible approach for you might therefore be to take nutrients that expel xenobiotics -- that actively remove substances and chemicals in the body that the body does not recognize I.e. synthetic drugs. Supplementing nutrients like Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C, Milk Thistle, MSM(Methyl Sulfonylmethane) will act to expel xenobiotics(drugs) from the body quickly and may well help to remove the cause of your problem. But this will take time depending on how long you took the meds.

Also please bear in mind that if you do take these xenobiotic-removing nutrients then they will also tend to remove ALL synthetic drugs from the body and will probably reduce the effectiveness of any current meds that you are supplementing now. So this may not be a workable option for you.

The only other thing that could have such an effect on the skin and nerves is probably excessive aspartame or neotame in the body. So if you are taking any form of sweetener like Equal or NutraSweet -- I would stop using these sweeteners now. The antidote to aspartame is taurine(an amino acid) which will help to remove the excess aspartame in the body.

Hi all. Thanks for your replies - much appreciated. Thanks in particular to Bill for his informative answer.

I have been taking lyrica for nerve pain. I have noticed quite bad forgetfulness/brain fog along with the burning lately. I used to get along quite well with the drug, however lately I have been getting these side effects. It used to cost €80 euro and now it costs 33, so I am wondering if it may have anything to do with a change in ingredients? I know that burning is a side effect as this was stated in the leaflet, however I didn't think that it could possibly mean this bad of burning. I have googled the drug online and see that sun sensitivity can also be a side effect - not listed in the leaflet. I have been on it a couple of years. The burning actually seems to get worse when I take tea/coffee so I don't know if its the water thats adding to the problem or the caffeine itself.

The doctor has now prescribed me Gabin, which I started taking a few days ago. I still do experience some burning but I have started getting chills at the top of my back, and when I put on a sweater, it turns to burning, so I don't know that this one will be an option either. I also have sensory nerve damage which I tried peppermint oil for but it was not effective. Does anyone know of any natural remedies for nerve pain, as I think the drugs might not be the way for me to go anymore. How would you go about switching. I don't know that the ALA would be an option as I have lots of mercury fillings. Thanks again folks.

Hi Carly...In 2008 Pfizer lost a court case concerning illegal off-label use of Lyrica. It cost them $2.3 billion for this off-label use infringement.

One of the major side-effects of Lyrica is skin sensitivity. See this link.

Lyrica was the replacement for the older medicine -- Gabin -- which is only a GABA analogue copy called gabapentin that contains the synthetic and more expensive form of GABA(Gamma-Aminobutyric acid) which is just a natural body vitamin. So why not save some money and avoid all those synthetic drug side effects by just take ordinary natural form of GABA instead? This, of course, will only help to manage your pain but will not cure your condition.

For a cure, taking Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALA), Brewer's Yeast and Milk Thistle might help you more. ALA and Brewer's Yeast (containing all the B Vits except B12) act to repair the nerves while Milk thisle and ALA will act to remove any residual synthetic drugs in your body that shouldn't be there.

Taken at mealtimes

Organic Brewer's Yeast -- One tablespoon twice a day with water at mealtimes, morning and evening. You can cook with it too -- it has a nice nutty flavour. You can also take B50 complex if you wish but Brewer's yeast is better I think because it is in the more natural form.

ALA -- 300 mgs taken twice a day at lunch and dinner.

Milk Thistle -- 500 mgs taken twice a day with meals.

L-Selenomethionine -- 200 mcgs twice a day with meals.

Vitamin B12 -- 1000 mcgs once per day. Take this as the lozenge or as the capsule(at mealtimes).

MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) -- As the powder form -- 5 grams a day in a glass of water. Helps to repair skin and is a remarkable anti-inflammatory and pain killer. DMSO(Dimethylsulfoxide) has the same properties. You can buy MSM at any health store or from internet vendors such as ebay.com.

Selenium combined with methionine(or L-Selenomethionine) will help your body to to produce more cysteine and hence more glutathione in the body which will also help to detox any unwanted residual drugs causing side-effects from your body. Methionine also provides essential methyl groups which also help the Methylation Cycle and which also helps the body to detox.

I would also switch from using Gabin to using the more natural GABA. If you do this then the Milk Thistle and ALA -- which only expel xenobiotics(chemicals and synthetic drugs that the body does not recognize) -- will be able to more quickly remove all the residual synthetic chemicals causing any side-effects. The natural GABA that you supplement instead will not be expelled because the body will recognizes that it is a required natural vitamin.

I also have a huge skin problem which began in 2008 when I was prescribed Lyrica, and all the side effects on this link. My skin is also peeling off and dying layer by layer. I stopped it a few years ago after complaining about EVERY side effect and then some after being on a high dose for sometime.

I still have problems escalating to the point I look like a 70 year old and usually look many years younger than my age and not a line or wrinkle. I look like an ancient leper!! Not to mention the agony of not being able to bear clothing on and wiping on a towel after washing, which I try to avoid. And my eyes and the skin around them are in a mess, and my body looks like a withered old lady. My teeth were and are still affected as is everything else. I am now after reading this and the link trying to find a solicitor to take it on in UK which is proving hard. Is there a USA Solicitor to anyone's knowledge who will act on behalf of a UK Citizen?

Thanks, Love Andrea C xxx

I had the date wrong that I was prescribed the evil Lyria/Pregablin, it was 2006.

And in 2007, my Mother who was dying from Cancer after having a Mastectomy, wheeled me into Hospital screaming in agony and they did nothing.

Neither did any Doctor, Neurologist, or every other 'Consultant' I saw and mentioned Lyrica too.

And two month's ago I was prescribed it again and in 24 hours I had huge peeling blisters all over my face and more agony. This has accelerated the 'skin shedding' and other problems.

Carly-- I have had to be on alert for hidden sources of MSG because they are nerve stimulants. I am extremely sensitive and our food supply is permeated with the stuff.

Since pain is inflammation and turmeric and ginger are reported to reduce inflammation, I use both (1/4-1/2 tsp.) in water and sprinkle on food. In addition, I take blackstrap molasses in water or milk which also reduces inflammation.

I have been more coconut oil with a little salt-free butter. Binders and fillers in any medications/supplements could interact with each other. Because our food supply is now loaded with GMO's, in one way or another, it's becoming difficult to know how to eat safe. The GMO's are harder to digest and could also be contributing to your pain. The flowing or anti-caking agents also contribute. They are in common table salt and in various spices. This is only my opinion based on my piecemeal experience for over two decades. I hope some of this helps you.

Thanks very much for your knowledge, Bill. Also the other contributors. Is it possible to take say GABA while coming off meds, at what stage would it be safe to do this I.e. do you have to wait for meds to be out of your system, or does it matter if they are taken together. Also can you recommend any good online source of GABA. Thankyou.

To Mohammed,

Re your array of problems;

I'm so sorry you've been suffering so much. What a story.

As I first started reading your symptoms I immediately thought: Bet he's got food intolerance of some kind...like a carb issue. But reading on, the problems seemed to indicate not ONLY the possibility of food intolerances but also something more; like fungal or viral infestation.

Some hints; are you having chronic sinus congestion... or sensitivity/swelling/burning in the eyes or...constant ear canal irritation/ itching ... or scalp break out like intense itching or burning when certain foods are consumed. Any or part of that might indicate fungal issues. And often food intolerance goes with fungal infection.

On the more serious issues concerning pancreas et al I was guessing a serious viral infection might be causing that. You might have had a serious viral infection six months or a year prior to the first symptoms years ago; like mono/ staph ... chronic ear infection ... etc. If so, I'd suspect you have a virus issue.

So worse case... if this were me analyzing what you gave in your one post, I'd suspect:

1. Food intolerance plus aspergillus or another fungus probably one more at least. Candida is there too.

and

2. A Virus is working in the system which is a co-infection perhaps with the fungus and that also is causing so many of the problems.

I would if me; start taking two tablespoons of colloidal silver three times daily on empty stomach (long term).

Consult quickly with a microscopy analyst to read blood (see google "youtube live cell microscopy") to KNOW what is going on in the blood. If lots of fungus shows up your MD can also help with what to take to kill (nystatin for instance).

And the microscopy analyst should also be able to help you with exactly what foods you are sensitive to (not just allergic to)....I have 15 different foods that I do not digest well. Whereas my niece tested and she has only six or seven. I am very sensitive to wheat (to my distress) and am generally carb sensitive.

3. I'd also (and do now) take two HIGH potency digestive enzymes with each meal. At the health food stores I go to, only Digest Gold comes close to all the ingredients in my "TransFormation Digest Enzyme Supplement" which has a broad array.

This is a question for Ted. It is about my daughter 22yo. Healthy until the last four months when she started with a headache and tingling sensation for about three weeks, then that sensation move to her knees and sometimes to her feet. Take her to the doctor. Head MRI done nothing wrong. Only thing low was Vitamin D (12). Started taking almost 7 thousand units everyday. She felt bad. Then pain on her chest. EKG done, nothing wrong. She complains every day from a different thing. Numbness on her right leg has been the last problem. Every single pain comes and goes. She cries because she said she wants to feel fine at least one day. I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Please respond to me. Thank you and congratulations for a wonderful and useful website, God bless you.

Hello Neguarian,

I'm not Ted but just a question relative to your daughter's condition. You do not give any of her history...medical, physical or anything else that might help Ted figure out what is going on...or for that matter anyone else who would want to help her. For instance, has she been on medication of any kind? Statins in the last year? Any history of A Fib? Any history of serious infection (mono, strep etc)? If an infection (a memorable and serious infection...what was it and where in the body)...Any accidents in the past year?

And...When was onset of the headaches? Does she think the headaches are related to the rest of the problems? Is she depleted of energy? If so, did the energy depletion coincide with the onset of the other symptoms?

You said she had an MRI of the head...nothing of the spine that might be showing lesions?

There are two parts to good analysis: First an accurate diagnosis and Second a possible array of either cures for the problem or "helps" to alleviate symptoms.

The more clues you can give Ted, the better he (or others) can give you good suggestions.
