I have scalp folliculitis, for the last 10 years. I've been on many anti biotics, which always fail eventually, and the infection comes back with vengence, painfully. I've therefore turned to natural remedies. The folliculitis causes about 1cm wide spots, filled with puss, very sore, and they are slowly joining together. From 3 days ago, I tried a teaspoon of tumeric, mixed in a little cold water, 3 times a day.

The results are amazing. When I tried anti b's, I would see no results for 5-6 days. With turmeric, within 24hrs, my swelling had halved, and now, 4 days later, although I still have the red marks, the swelling has gone, 100%. I'm amazed, and the happiest man on earth! I'm sure it will not cure me, but the pain and irritation relief is unbelievable. I hope it continues, and if anyone else tries this method, please let me know, and good luck. Spencer.

I've been trying for months to get rid of boils that keep recurring on my face in the same area. It's been horrible dealing with this and I just found your remedy 3 days ago when I had 2 boils coming up again. I took 2 doses the first night The swelling went down by morning. This morning there is no pain and the boils are almost entirely gone. I can't thank you enough. This has been like a miracle for me.

I have had a boil for two weeks now. It has been extremely sore, but wouldn't come to a head. I found your website yesterday. Since I lean more toward "Natural" remedies, I was totally ready to give the turmeric a try. I took one dose last night at 6:00 pm. It tasted really horrible, but I chased it with a small glass of grape juice, so there was no "lingering" taste. Before I went to bed last night at 10:00 pm, the boil had come to a head, opened, and was draining. This morning there is very little pain remaining. The boil is less than half its original size. I took another "dose" this morning and am expecting more healing before I get home tonight. Thank you for offering a remedy that does not put "chemicals" in my body!

Turmeric Cure; l read this article the other day on your site about the cure for boils. l immediately looked in my cabnet for the spice and l used it two ways. 1. a tablespoon for 2 days in the morning. 2. Took 2 Tbs of curry & Mixed with 3 Tbs of petrolium jelly to create a ointment. Put the ointment on my boil (Which was the size of a ball out of a Dime machine at the supermarket) and wrapped it with some mesh & tape. You see it was too big for any bandage. At first in the morning after it kind of burned. Nothing came to a head; However it was 1/2 the size. l put more ointment that l previously made on it and wrapped it again. 2nd day; The boil that once stuck a inch out on my leg was completely flat. However, l could still feel the ingrown hair that had caused it and their seem to be a lump inside my skin still. The area where my boil was is nothing but a slight pink oval stain where the turmeric pulled the poisons out. This is day 3, No boil- just a small bump under the skin still, so l will continue to use this until it is completly gone. This worked so much better than the operation l was told to have. Thank you for your Teriffic web site...

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! For years I have been affected with boils. So has all my whole family. We all suffered for years going to doctor, useless medication, recurring boils, stinky mess... No doctor could help us, no medication could stop them from coming back and enlarging all over again. Until I came across your site...and I discovered Turmeric. I put Turmeric on a recurring boil that had disfigured my back shoulder...within days the boil began to get smaller and smaller and is now almost completely gone. And the recurring site is now healing. Thank you so much for the Earth Clinic.

Developed a whopper of a boil at the waistline. Had it treated with antibiotics it went away then ANOTHER one popped up near it. Felt like "scalded skin". So they got me on the same antibiotic plus Bactrim. Just stumbled across the tumeric cure last night and got some capsules immediately. I am starting to feel some relief, I can actually get up and down out of chairs without excruciating pain (might be the Bactrim but it might also be the tumeric!)

I just got my first huge boil combined with cellulitis last week on my upper thigh. The MD put me on Cipro twice daily, an antibiotic cream twice daily, and orders for warm-hot compresses 4-5 times a day. After 4 days things were much worse and I was on the verge of admission to the ER. A friend of mine provided the link to your website. After reading many of the letters I immediately purchased Turmeric powder and also 800 mg Curcumin pills combined with Bioperine (black pepper extract - aids in curcumin uptake). Between the afternoon and nighttime I took 3 of the pills and 2 cups of the soup. I could not beieve the improvement by the next morning. It is hard to discuss percentages - so I'll stick to function. I went from hardly being able to walk to walking normally overnight. I had experienced intense pain, heat and burning the previous day, and overnight these symptoms were mostly gone. I am having trouble believing these dramatic results myself. I was skeptical when I read of similar experiences in some of the letters at the website - but I am happy to say that I have become a believer. It is amazing that a simple herb from a grocery store can have such a profound effect on health and physiology. The boil and the cellulitis are still there and it will take some more time until they go away, but, I am now feeling very optimistic about the next few days. I sincerely wish to express my gratitude for your sound advice. I would like to add that the turmeric provided enjoyable flavoring to the chicken soup - the combination worked out quite well.

My problem initially started as the swelling of a small lump I have always had. It's size increased dramatically over a week or two (it's on my back and I'm unsure how long it had been getting bigger before I noticed it), so I went to the doc to get an opinion. The doctor said it was just a cyst that had become inflamed and was nothing to worry about. She didn't seem to sure of herself though, so I took that information with a grain of salt.

Anyway, it continued to get bigger and more uncomfortable and also started to redden so about 2 weeks after my first doctor visit I went to get a second opinion. This second doc told me that it was an infected hair gland and prescribed antibiotics. I've never been a fan of antibiotics but I was worried with how this problem was going, so I started taking them dutifully, 4 times a day.

They appeared to do nothing and the infection got much worse very quickly. It was now very uncomfortable, dark red, and about as big as a small plum. It also started weeping so I went back to the doctor as I had been instructed, and he expressed some puss from it and told me to keep it covered and keep taking the antibiotics. He also told me to book in with a surgeon in case it needed lancing, which I did.

Antibiotics doing nothing and not looking forward to the thought (and cost) of surgery, I started looking on the internet seriously. I found this website and read the turmeric solution (Honestly I thought, right. Turmeric powder, how is that going to help??). I figured I had nothing to lose, so on the way home I got some turmeric from the supermarket and some tea tree cream. That night I had a glass of water with a large teaspoon of turmeric powder in (tasted terrible!). I took a shower and poked around at the lump. It expressed a huge amount of chunky puss (made me feel rather ill). Cleaned it up and then went and lay on the floor in the lounge with a hot facecloth with tea tree oil on my back and a hot water bottle on that. after about an hour of that it had expressed still more puss. I cleaned it and had it bound with some of the tea tree cream as well and went to bed.

In the morning it had gone down by about 50% and was also less red and less painful. I was amazed. Expressed a lot more in the shower, had another drink of turmeric, and went to work. Same treatment in the evening (it was looking slightly better than it was in the morning), and then by the next morning it was looking much better. The skin about 3 inches all around the lump had been red and hard and was now not. Bump was almost totally gone and was only expressing slightly.

So basically, four glasses of water each with one generous teaspoon of turmeric powder in and I am almost entirely rid of a really unpleasant infection!

$150 on doctors visits and no cure vs $1.90 on a bottle of turmeric powder. I know which way I'll be going in the future! Thanks very much for the information. Absolutely amazing. :) I should have known better than to doubt. There's a natural cure out there for everything!

Reporting back. Found that the turmeric worked well. Took about 10 days. Spoonful of the stuff in warm water. Down the hatch. Every night before going to bed. I stopped using the campho phenique as I don't like the smell. My idea was vitamin E mixed with cayenne pepper powder made into a salve. Onto the boil - cover up with a bandaid and tape to hold it in place. Off in the morning. This seemed to help too. Note that my boil was not broken, and never broke. I think the cayenne on a broken boil would sting something awful, so not a good idea or recommended. I only have a small bump left, from a boil that was almost the size of a quarter and hurt like heck. Hope to get rid of this remainder soon. Thanks for your wonderful site. Very appreciated.

I have had a boil at the top of my buttocks for a few days and tried my usual concoction of bergamot oil, lavender, chamomile, and tea tree. Alongside this I have been taking vit C, Vit B complex, chlorella, acidophilus, beta carotene and echinacea. Normally this works but seems to have failed this time, although the boil has suddenly appeared without any previous symptoms this time so am not sure if I started taking them too late. On top of this I have been taking homeopathic sulphur, belladonna and silicea. I was trawling through the internet and the turmeric remedy caught my eye. About an hour ago I took a teaspoon in a glass of orange juice (quickly) and have managed to sit down without the slightest twinge for the first time today. I will carry on through the evening with the teaspoon in orange juice but first thing tomorrow I shall be out to my local health shop to get the tablets. I really hope that this remedy works fully and means I no longer have to take the other concoction I was using. Thanks for the advice. It is the most truly embarrassing place to have a boil and I dread it reoccurring as the pain is horrendous. So all being well this is the answer to my worst recurring nightmare!!

I've been suffering from monthly recurring boils for the past 6 months. Twice I've taken antibiotics and had the boils disappear, only to have them reappear a month or two later. This website was a blessing for me. I drank turmeric, took neem, and an Indian concoction called Safi. This did not make the boils disappear, but it made more stop from coming (before, without antibiotics, more boils would constantly emerge). I later bought Silver 100 from Invision International (seems to be the best one out there), and that has accelerated the healing process. I also had to eat yogurt, because of the detox-effect of silver. Yogurt happens to have acidophilus in it, which I've seen recommended here.

I have a tip on a 3-step external healing-process for a boil.
1) Use hot water to make the boil open,
2) Use baking soda to get rid of the infection and swelling (this is wonderful!), and
3) Use a mixture of turmeric and raw honey to accelerate wound healing.

As soon as you see that you're improving, I suggest not to continue the turmeric. Caused constipation. Only take it when you have the problem.

I am not from USA but from India where the climate is quite hot and humid through out the time. I have had cases of boils which used to swell to the size of golf balls, break and after the puss flows out, the pain subsides. the hard core would still take a few days to go off. I had a boil on my buttocks which was painful and grew in size and broke. Barely had the pain subsided another appeared and a third smaller one came up. These were also growing in size and promising to be painful. It was at this time that i happened to search the web and found this site of natural cures. I tried this for 3 days and now one has disappeared, the second ones core is fast diminishing and almost gone.
