Woohoo! I successfully removed a large (bit bigger than pencil eraser sized) raised mole in 5 days with ACV. Here's what I did:
Materials: ACV, Cotton balls, surgical tape (not a super sticky kind), hole punch, emery board
Night 1: I punched a hole in middle of a small strip of surgical tape and placed it around my mole so the mole fit through the hole. I used the emery board to rough the mole up just a tiny bit. Not to the point of bleeding or anything. Then I tore off a small bit of cotton and soaked it in ACV and placed it on the mole. I placed another piece of surgical tape over everything and left it there over night.
Night 2 and 3: repeated Night 1 except no roughing up with emery board.
After 3 nights of bandaging with the ACV and leaving the mole to air out during the day, the mole flattened out and turned black and hard. Because I covered the surrounding the mole with the surgical tape, I didn't experience any irritation. After a few days, I was thinking about doing more ACV but the mole just peeled itself off completely so I didn't need to do anything. There is a bit of pink new skin that I plan on using Vit E oil on to help with the healing.

YEA!!!! Absolutely Amazing! At first I couldn't even image ACV removing moles but I thought to myself: "What the heck! " So, on monday evening I bought the cheapest AVC ($1.25) and I did compare ingredients which were the same to Mothers. I didn't "scrape" as all the others. Instead, I took a nice hot shower (which opened it up) and made sure any "dry or flakyness" was "no more". THEN, I took my trusty lip protector (to protect the "non-mole" area) and applied the ACV in a soaked cottonball which only covered that nasty mole - overnight - with a bandage. The following morning it swelled up a little bit (which I thought was good) because the ACV was "getting inside". Again (during the day) I repeated the same process as I did the night before. I did this repeatedly for about 4 days. Then, on the 5th day I decided to "let it breath" and THAT's when it began to "scab" and get flatter. I continued with my "process" but also added "air time" in between for about a few hours while periodically applying ACV through out the day. At night, I would "bandage" it up as described above. I knew I needed to be patient and here it is - nine days later - and when I removed the bandage 97% of that nasty mole came off with the cotton and I flushed it away! By the way, my nasty mole was the size of a pencil eraser and from the looks of it - it seems that it will only be a matter of days until its gone completely and never to return. Some people ask "does it sting?" Ans: Yes but not in a painful way and it will dissipate over a short amount of time. (at least for me it did). Another thing I noticed was: as it shrivels (scabs over) it will pull the skin and become a little tender but again, not in a painful way. Thank you earth clinic for posting this. ;)

UpDate! :) Success! 4 day's ago I reported that 97% of that nasty mole fell off. I continued to "dab" ACV on the remaining 3%, three times a day (with no bandage) and, here it is not even 13 days later and that nasty mole is gone! Gone! GONE! What ever you do (if tempted) do NOT pick! Let if fall off on it's own. I would also like to sincerely thank Earth Clinic (for their wonderful site) and earth clinic participants for their insight on their own personal experiences.

Hi, just to give you some feedback and let you know my experience, I have already posted a while away on this forum.
I had a raised flesh coloured mole on my face for years, I used apple cider vinegar **** protect area around ***** I did not realise the importance of this. away after 5 days the scab came off and looked very red!! I bought some bio oil and pure collagan gel from boots chemists in the uk and rubbed them both on every night.
i rubbed the bio oil in first and then rubbed the collegan gel in and left it over night. it has taken from may till now so 5 months but you cannot even tell there was a mole there now.
it has gone altogether no scar nothing. hope this helps

7/4/12 -- Results of ACV test on 3mm flat mole on face. Day 1 (6/29/12) = applied ACV through hole cut in bandaid and covered with a second bandaid saturated with ACV. Day 2 = Refreshed bandaids. Put 1 teaspoon ACV in a small cup to evaporate overnight and concentrate the acid. Day 3 = New system = applied concentrated ACV directly to mole and to a new bandaid placed over mole. Day 4 = Half of mole came off when rubbed with Qtip, leaving dark pink underneath. Day 5 = Stinging sensation on mole when ACV applied. Day 6 (7/4/12) = Rest of brown mole surface came off when rubbed with Qtip! Light pink underneath. No other skin irritation. Success!

Using ACV to remove moles has had excellent results, but the vaseline part sounds messy. I have a small (3mm) flat mole on my jaw just in front of my ear. To protect the other skin from the ACV, I cut a 3mm hole in the center of a round bandaid, stuck it over the mole, and applied the ACV through the hole with a Q-tip. Then I took a second round bandaid, saturated the pad with more ACV, and put it over the hole so it could soak in overnight. This gets the most ACV with the least mess. I hope it works for others too.

My story: wart like growth under left eyelid.
Tried all kinds of remedies - nothing worked. Eye Doctor told me it was interfering with tearing process. I would need surgery, no insurance.
Took a lemon and squeezed the juice including the oil from the peel. Swabbed it on the area on the hour for an evening. Next morning the growth peeled off like a grape peel. No scar, no growth - eyelid felt like baby skin. Came up with this myself. The growth had spread over a year and was almost covering my entire lower lid.
There are more remedies than diseases! And always more hope than despair. Keep searchin'

I can't believe after all these years (58) I actually found a site where I can use information to get rid of this mole that has been on the tip of my nostril forever! You may understand how much I detested it, and the frustration I felt not having a way to remove it! I found this site yesterday, and last night began applying the vinegar and vaseline! It's a raised mole, about the size of a split pea.... But it feels huge! Lol
It immediately started turning white, and puffing up. The bottom half became black.... Which sounds like what it's supposed to be doing. I used a needle and emery board to roughen it up, and applied chap stick and vaseline to the surrounding skin. Because of it's location, I cannot bandage it... Nothing will stick, so I'll have to do it the hard way.... Applying ACV constantly with a q-tip. It seems to be working, and I feel like I have a new lease on life!
I have gotten really bad skin with wrinkles and jowl lines in the last few years, due to stress and lack of care. I am on a quest to regain my appearance as much as possible, and am using all avenues to secure it! I am applying wrinkle remover, moisturizing, and taking vitamins. I cannot afford a face lift... So started using a book and dvd called "Facial Fitness" to remove the wrinkes and tighten the skin. I even found a free hypnosis download called "Turning Back Time" to make myself look better! I will NOT go down without a fight! Time to get myself put back together in a presentable and pleasing way! Will keep you posted on the mole removal.... It was an added bonus to my new quest, and will be forever grateful for this site!

I personally haven't tried the dandruff shampoo on my moles but I have had really good success using acv. I used the kind from my kitchen on one which worked with a little burning (not bad). I used organic acv with mother on another mole and it worked without the burning. I swear by it and now have a lot of people using to get rid of their moles! A note about dandruff shampoo, I suggested to my sister-in-law that she use it for rosacea and it worked like a charm! She uses it twice per week. Good luck!

I attempted to remove 3 moles on my face using the method described on the site. The only thing I did differently was skip using an emory board. There was a little bit of broken skin (head of pin size) near one of the moles. This happened sometime during the procedure. Maybe taking a bandaid off, but I don't know. The area surrounding the broken skin turned brown within a matter of a few hours of contact with the acv. It stung. I took the band aid and Apple Cider Vinegar soaked cotton off immediately and rinsed with water. I quit the procedure. A few days later, I still have a very dark spot, and it is sore to the touch. I cannot tell if it is a scab or just a dark spot. The dark spot was ringed with a yellowish outline and I'm wondering if the broken skin somehow got infected. I'm wondering if this will heal or if the spot is permanent. Another mole I treated got "burned" on and around the mole. It scabbed and most of the scab has fallen off. The skin underneath is pink and I cannot tell if the mole is gone, but I suspect not. The other mole does not appear to be healing the same way, and I am worried. At this point, I'd take having the moles over having a disfiguring dark spot on the tip of my nose. Trying to be patient and not freak out. Can anyone help??

After reading and watching everything on the net about home removal of moles I decided to embark on my own home experiment. I have three raised ones on the right side of my face near my ear. The more I read the more I realized my "moles" are not ordinary moles but sebborhic keratosis. I'm day 20 in on this experiment with ACV. Initially I just applied an ACV Q-tip on the moles a couple of times per day, but after about 10 days I started sleeping with an ACV soaked cotton bandaged to my face. This has definitely helped speed up the process. The SK is still there, but much flatter. During the day I've been applying a bit of castor oil mixed with baking soda to it. It leaves my face a bit gritty feeling but I didn't want to smell like ACV at work. The castor oil/baking soda seems to help soften it up.
I'm encouraged and will continue with this treatment, and wanted to share with the rest of you to encourage you to remain patient. Depending on the size of the mole or SK it's probably not going to clear up in just a few days.

So I'm trying out this apple cider vinegar treatment. I absolutely dislike the smell and taste of vinegar and unfortunately I have a small flat mole right under my nose that I've been wanting to get rid of for the longest time. I've been using a mixture of castor oil and baking soda for about 5 nights and its definitely reduced in size but its taking quite a while. Before I apply anything I put coconut oil on the area I'm treating just to make sure my skin is safe and moisturized. For the apple cider vinegar treatment I'm dabbing a q-tip in the vinegar and applying it on the mole only, doing my best not to get it on the surrounding area. I will continue doing this every 15 minutes or so. For people that don't have a lot of time on their hands, I think I would do this treatment at night while sleeping. Of course you're not going to wake up every 15 minutes though so results may be different. I will update on how this treatment goes, fingers crossed.

It's been a week since my first mole fled, and just a few days since the second one vanished. I only applied ACV about 4 different times, but each time I was spending about half an hour dabbing an ACV-soaked q-tip on my moles. I'm removing four moles of different sizes. The two that are completely gone were just a few mm high and the area is still pinkish.
The other moles were larger and needed more applications. One was on my hip and I just reduced the size of it instead of removing completely. I may go back and remove it but for now it's just a small flesh colour bump 3mm high, healed VERY well/fast. The 4th mole was an odd shape (none were cancerous) so I'm not sure yet if it's gone (some of it was flesh colour). For this one, I taped a cotton pad on it a couple times and the surrounding area was damaged (regret that). My method:
Dip q-tip in a little cup that has ACV. Dab with precision right in the center of the mole. Wipe away excess, but try to avoid applying excess. When the mole has dried up a minute or two later, dab again. Don't scratch the mole, but you can take the q-tip and rub slowly at the mole, allowing the mole pores to stretch and let the ACV in. When it comes away from the skin easily, stop applying any ACV and then Polysporin for the wound until it heals.

Hello everyone!! I love this site and I truly enjoy reading everyone's comments about their mole removal journey. I've had a small (3mm-4mm), flesh-colored mole above my lip for several years now. It causes me so much stress and, after reading this blog for awhile, I decided to give the ACV method a try last week. I roughed up my mole with a sterilized needle and surrounded the mole with Vaseline. Afterwards, I placed a Q-tip dipped in ACV on the site. Within several minutes, the mole had shriveled up and turned into a black scab. I left it alone for almost a week; however, I noticed that the skin around the mole site was red and raised. (it almost looks like I have a life saver around the scab). The scab came off to reveal a crater area, but the skin around it is still inflammed and red! Did I remove the whole mole or did I just doughnut punch the center of it? I have a crater, which looks worse now that the skin around it is still raised and red. Please help! Did anyone else experience this? I have been placing antibiotic ointment and Neosporin in the crater. Any advice would be much appreciated. I am so terrified that I ruined my face forever!

Ally and Jerry: I don't know whether this will help you, but I'll tell you what happened to me.
Years ago I got an injection in my hip. The area at the injection site developed a huge crater and it was there a very long time. My PCP couldn't advise me but ordered a biopsy that was "normal". I cannot recall how long it was there but I started to vigorously scrub over it with the towel after I showered. Once in awhile I would rub/massage the area with my fingers and eventually it filled in...I just assumed the stimulation helped regenerate the skin cells.
Since the areas are on your faces, I would suggest applying vitamin E (pierce the capsule) on the area after massaging and before you go to bed to help reduce scarring. Apply vitamin E before exposure to the sun. It would be best to use a small band aid to keep it covered. Taking vitamin E internally has also been reported to help reduce scarring.
I hope this works for you. :-) ~Kt~

Hi Sarah, I think roughing it up does help. My mole didn't turn into a scab until after I poked it with a needle, which I think helped the ACV get into the mole and scab quicker. As for your mole just changing back to normal after you take the ACV off, maybe you're not leaving it on long enough? Do you leave it on overnight? That is best.

I put a piece of cotton soaked in raw apple cider vinegar over the mole and put a bandaid over it. It was on for most of a day. The mole was small, maybe an eighth of an inch, raised a little, dark on top. The next day I scratched at the mole and it came right off. It's all healed now. The skin around the mole was unaffected. There was a little pink crater where the mole was, it's all healed now. Awesome. Thank you all who helped me.
I have two other moles I did the same thing to, but they are larger. They didn't come off right away, they are maybe a quarter of an inch, and raised. They have all been there for years. I'm allergic to the bandaid sticky stuff, so there is a red inflamed area where the sticky part touched my skin. I used just the sticky tabs on the other two moles and it made big red marks on my skin. One mole got pale looking, now it's like a scab, but red around it from the bandaid still. The other is like a scab, but it's black looking and still raised, and not red around it. I put the bandaids on them for three days or so. They all burned like people say. I'm waiting for the redness to go away so I can do it again using the whole bandaid, this time, instead.
I am very happy not having "stuff" on my face.

I've also removed a mole on my head, cheek and stomach. After 3-4 days of dabbing Apple Cider Vinegar it turned into a scab and fell off a week later. Now what's left is a pink mark and I was wondering how long it takes before fading back to my skin color?
Is anyone using any creams, oils, ointments to speed up the healing process? Thanks!

Hi there. If you keep the skin well hydrated with a healing oil like jojoba, goji, castor oil and even olive oil - this will help increase cellular turnover, which in turn will speed up healing. There'll be rather a lot of action at the wound site for months yet below the surface, so keep dabbing on the healing oil of your choice several times a day, and you will notice positive changes within a few weeks.

ACV worked in getting rid of my moles, but there were scars from the scabbing process. I read reviews that aloe gel works in healing scars from moles.
I tried aloe plant to treat the scar, but not the scar from my mole, I tried it on my hand instead, and it stings.. the aloe.. so I washed it away because obviously it was not working. the next day I woke up with allergic reactions on my hand from the aloe.
I looked for products that are actually clinically tested, and there's this one gel, dermatix silicone gel, it definitely worked.. in about 2 weeks the scars are almost unnoticeable.

I just experimented on my face the apple cider vinegar technique. In the last couple years I have developed a lot of new moles and sun spots on my body. one has developed on my face . It actually looked like a freckle for the longest time before it started to raise. I put apple cider vinegar on it. I took gauze tape and cut a hole about the size of the mole and maybe a tiny bit smaller, (so the Apple Cider Vinegar would not damage my skin). Side note: did not think about this the first night and burned the skin around the mole but I started noticing it come off after the first application. After all of the mole was off, it looked as if maybe I had a big pimple that I had been picking at. It wasn't pretty or easy to cover with concealer. But I also believe it's all about the recovery.
Did some research, took a couple things from dr Christopher's website on skin healing and abrasions. It recommended the bone and tissue formula for healing the skin tissue as well as the bone and tissue salve. I didn't want to buy the salve online so I took some from the capsules, added it to a little olive oil and used that topically. I would leave that on for a couple hours, rinse it off, then put calendula gel on it for overnight. Every morning, I took a collagen supplement with a vitamin c. The area is almost healed and you would never have known there was a mole there. But like I said it's all about the recovery. It might seem like a lot but I was a little frightened after the first night and permanent scarring so I don't want to take any chances with it looking worse than before. FYI, went to the dermatologist and he said he would not be able to remove if and if he did the scarring would be worse than the mole, and also told me collagen supplements would be useless. I work in the natural health and food industry and I proved everything wrong that he had told me, not to mention saving a lot of money instead of going to a plastic surgeon. Hope this helps. Complete success on my end!!!

Dear Ashley,
If it were me, I would try coconut oil or castor oil on the mole and surrounding skin. Either (or both) should be soothing to the skin that is burned. Both have been reported to work on moles, it appears to take longer than the ACV. You could continue the ACV if you want, but be sure to put coconut oil or something on the skin around the mole before using the vinegar, to protect it. You might read the posts under moles where people used castor or coconut oil.
If you use the coconut oil, do use the cold pressed extra virgin stuff that smells like coconut. I think other processing will take out the things in it that are helpful.
Let us know how it goes!

**Mole UPDATE**
Hey guys its been just over a week now and both of the moles are now completly gone!!! I am actually shocked and amazed this has actually worked! So thank you guys!! I was scared at first as both the moles was on my face (one flat and one raised) I would say another week no1 would even know I even had any moles on my face!! (AMAZING!! )The flat mole was easier to come off and the raised one made the area around the mole very tender.
*TIP* As soon as the mole turns into a scab STOP USING THE ACV! Let them heal and fall off! And wash your face with clean water and avoid the face scrubs.
I am defo going to try this on more moles now!
I am in shock and know it 100% works!!! I can't wait to show all of my friends my moleless face!!

Hi, another suggestion to use for scarring would be Emu Oil, it hastens wound healing and less scar formation. It makes bruises disappear, so it will do the same to fresh scars. It works well as it goes thru several layers of the skin. They use it as a carrier oil for other medications for deeper layer effect. Apply Emu Oil liberally as often as you want. It also works as moisturizer..

I used the ACV method for removing a mole and it worked. At first I burned the skin around the mole a bit and then I started to use "corn, callus protectors", so that the ACV doesn't affect the skin around the mole. It's a great technique and I'll do it again for another mole.

Day 5 and all is going well!!! This really does work, I wish I had know about Apple Cider Vinegar as a mole removal before, most of the moles are gone, I had 3 that looked like there was some still in there so im continuing to use Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda on them. The rest are healing nicely. I washed my face with antibacterial soap befor the treatment, where the mole were located it was impossible to get a band aid to stick so I after I roughed them up I dabbed them with Apple Cider Vinegar throught out the day and let air dry between apps. I am very pleased with the out come! The only thig is I wish I would have done it when I was out of work for a month, cuz it sure made me look awful with scabs all over the center of my face at work!!!!!! But I'm still glad they are gone now!
Trying castor oil on age spots now, today was first app on that hope it works as well as the Apple Cider Vinegar did on the moles!

So here's my daily review-:
Day 1-: I treated my mole with Apple Cider Vinegar 3times today... First I rubbed my mole with pumice stone for about 2mins... Then applied petroleum jelly near mole(not on the mole).. I applied Apple Cider Vinegar on the mole with the help of cotton and ear bud... It pained a little(which I think should be good)... I did it 2 times more the day.. hope it goes well and mole withers off..

It's a little tender but not much so now I am going to heal that mark and heal the surronding area that is still burnt from the ACV. I am so happy and pleased with my results.
