My mother used to grind to paste a one inch piece of raw or dried turmeric on the grinding stone, dilute it with 2 cups water, add a pinch of salt and boil the mixture thoroughly till it was reduced to 1 cup. The mixture was allowed to stand for the sediment to settle. The clear solution from the top was to be taken while still warm to stop diarrhea due to food poisoning. Turmeric is a mild antiseptic.

It really works! After trying everything I could get my hands on, and six days of constant diarrhea, I tried the turmeric - and within hours I am back on track. Thanks for saving me the Doctor bills. I used one teaspoon in an 8 oz glass of warm water. Had to hold my nose to get it down but it was worth it.

I should've written this earlier, but just been busy... which is a testament to its success.

The only thing I can think of is that I ate some bad (very bad soup) for dinner on January 31st (2008). Later that evening I started having bad diarrhea. Liquid coming out of me from the wrong place. I've had diarrhea before, but this stuff was different. I nearly drank a whole bottle of Pepto (large) and NOTHING changed. I went to the bathroom a lot! I was getting raw... I had completely forgotten about this website.

Last year I came here to cure myself from a kidney stone (lemon - olive oil) and it worked. But re-finding this place was such a pain. I had a bookmark crash in mid January (long story).

I read the testimonies for both the Apple Cider Vinegar and Turmeric. I went with the latter. To be honest I don't like the smell of vinegar. I wouldn't be able to keep that down. I bought my Turmeric from Stater Bros.; McCormic brand for about five bucks.

Okay. I know I messed up here, but be warned. This cocktail is bitter as hell. I actually spit out part of it, which looked like I had vomited on my shirt. Which I suppose isn't too far off. I'm so gald I only had to take this once. I don't want to do this again anytime soon. This happened on February 3rd.

As I wrote, I had been looking at the Apple Cider Vinegar cure too. I ended up messing the measurements. I was suppose to take one teaspool NOT one tablespoon with a warm glass of water. That got me real paranoid.

I felt the results within four hours. I went less and more... firm. By that evening I was back to normal. Let me clear that; I was releasing something that was far solid that didn't require me to to visit the bowel every thirty - forty minutes.

I'm back to my old self now. This stuff works! I'm so glad I re-bookmarked this wonderous place. Dudes you saved my rear, quite literally, especially since that afternoon (Jan 31st) I had a root canal. Believe me, I didn't need that grief. Thanks!

EC: Recipe: 1 tsp of turmeric in a glass of warm water cures loose stools. Take this only once a day.

I had the worst case of diarrhea I'd ever experienced, and not sure of the cause -- 48 hours of running to the bathroom every 15 to 30 minutes. I wanted to try a natural cure before resorting to medication, but none of the "cures" I'd read were feasible. I found this site and read the advice to try 1 tsp. of turmeric spice in a glass of warm water (only once a day) and tried it. I could feel my stomach settling down as I slowly downed the drink. For the rest of that evening until the morning I was able to rest and not go to the bathroom at all. In the morning I had some loose stools again but not as bad as they had been. I waited a little while until just before I was set to go on a long drive and then took my 2nd day's dose. That was about 10 hours ago and I haven't had any bowel problems since. I'm still amazed at how effective this was.

Fortunately I have been aware and using remedies from your web site for nearly a yaar. A friend asked what could be done to eliminate diarrhea and I searched earthclinc and fourn turmeric. Upon reading further, I discovered some additional benefits. Most notably after taking less than a tsp the first night, I did not feel drowsy druing the evening. After taking it for three days I noticed a significant reduction in my usual body aches. This is a marvelous site. I've been using herbs since 1971 and this is one of the best resources.

I was suffering from such a bad stomach virus for 10 days. I must have been going between 10 and 20 times a day. I was at the end of my rope because immodium and pepto did not help at all. And then i found your website. I can't believe the results of taking 2 doses of turmeric a day have done. I am a believer. i am going to get the apple cider vinegar to take daily to give me all of its wonderful benefits also. I love this website.

1 tsp. of turmeric spice to a glass of warm water once per day for 3 days cured chronic diarrhea and intestinal bleeding. All I can say is THANK-YOU from the bottom of my heart. Had your site not been there, I just don't know how I could go on another day, I thought I was dying.

After the first week of constant diarrhea. I went to see my doctor. We did blood tests and stool culture tests and all results came back negative. He then referred me to a Gastroenterologist who put me on antibiotics for 1 week, these pills did nothing except make matters worse. Then we scheduled a colonoscopy and he said that my colon was all inflamed and scared but could not understand why and that they would need to do more tests. I went on the BRAT diet in the meantime but that did not help either. I was so dehydrated and lost 25 pounds in this ordeal. After almost 8 weeks of constant diarrhea with no end in sight. I started searching on the internet for anything I could find relating to my symptoms. Then I stumbled upon this site and read up on the Turmeric cure. It WORKED!!!

It's a miracle! I have never been seriously ill in my entire life (I'm 46) prior to this. I am on my 4th day AFTER that 3rd glass of Turmeric and it's like it never happened, I am back to my old self!

I've tried everything to stop loose stools and gas. I've taken 1 tsp turmeric in hot water for three days and the gas has been relieved and the stool is formed. Sure glad I ran into this site. Thanks!!

I was recently diagnosed with ibd (inflammatory bowel disease). Thank the Lord (literally), he led me to this website. My doctor prescribed an anti-inflammatory pill and it did not work or at least I did not think so. My stomach kept flaring up and i was having bowel movement after bowel movement. I drank some turmeric tea----1 tsp of turmeric in 4 oz. Of water and i could immediately tell a difference. I have not had a flare up yet even though its only been 1 day, but just the immediate relief was good for me. Once again, thank god for the advice and website.

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with folliculitis over my whole body and Eczema on my hands and feet by my dermatoligist and I'm exploring some natural remidies. For a while I thought it was only Eczema over my entire body, but my Dermatoligst seems to think I have two separate conditons. So far I've tried the oral and topical steroids, topical antibiotics, and they seemed to work while I was using it, but as soon as I ran out it got bad again.

I have taken the ACV (apple cider vineager) with the mother in it (when I thought it was just Eczema), but stopped for a while after I got a stomach bug and had diareaha and vomiting and couldn't stomach the AVC. I'm now back on it for two days now (using 1-2 tsp in water 2-3 times a day according to back of the bottle) and now I'm also trying powdered Turmeric 1 tsp in a glass of warm water or sometimes in orange juice 2-3 times a day.

I'm only on day 2 of this, and I think I'm noticing some benfits. I don't itch as bad, the Eczema doesn't seem as raised or as irritated, and the red bumps from my folliculitis are not as pronounced and bright as they can sometimes get.

My question is this; I've read that Turmeric isn't that readily absorbed into the system and that you should take black pepper with it. If I'm taking 1tsp of powdered Turmeric in a glass of warm water how much black pepper should I add to it? Please advise, I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of the Turmeric as I can.

Just a pinch of pepper will do, and it is best to take turmeric with a fat as it is more soluble that way so take it in warm milk or coconut milk or almond milk with a little honey... One more thing, I don't know if you have this where you are but the only thing that has turned my hands and feet around is an ointment called Bag Balm. It is used by farmers for cows, but humans use it too, and I have to say it was soothing, calming, and healing from the first use. I hope this helps you, sara

After taking turmeric, 1/4 heaping tsp, and then stopping, I realized that the eczema on my palms had disappeared and then returned when I quit taking the turmeric. I resumed and it's been gone ever since.

I have essential thrombocythemia and am using turmeric to reduce platelet count with good results. As an added side effect, I have found that it reduces body fat. I take three 400 mg capsules three times a day. I find it best to take with food as it can cause minor stomach burning.

Turmeric cured my arthritis pain in my neck and back, and it relieved my chronic puffy eyes too. I started taking 450 mg. capsules of Turmeric 3x a day for the pain from bone spurs in my neck, and it really worked. I was in so much pain, and I was so grateful. But as a bonus, it also seemed to cure my chronic puffy eye problem, which I'd tried to control for the past two years by watching the salt in my diet. Well, there's no mistake about it, the Turmeric has also cured my puffy eyes problem too. I still plan on watching my salt intake, but it is SO nice to look normal, and feel normal again.

I have started having turmeric and find that I have more energy. I took turmeric before bedtime yesterday (turmeric+honey+black pepper in milk), and found that I was cheery and awake till 2 am! Finally I fell into a deep sleep but was awake by 7.30 am. With lesser than 6 hours of sleep, I felt quite fresh. Turmeric is certainly energizing.

Turmeric for Fatigue: I have Chronic Fatigue along with Mercury toxicity and started taking Turmeric for a tooth infection/ sensitive tooth. A GREAT side effect was energy! It only took a few days to get started. I take about 4 capsule in morning and 4 at lunch (homemade caps with turmeric from spice aisle). WARNING: Don't take before bed. I couldn't sleep for a few nights until I figured out it was giving me energy.

I love this stuff.

I had the same experience, and so did two other people I know. For a few days (3 or 4) I felt great with only a few hours of sleep, and then I started to feel unwell and confused. My friend became irritable and emotional. I had to cut way down on the turmeric dosage. It must work as a stimulant, maybe. I started going up on the dosage again, and then when it started to keep me up at night (or wake me up at odd hours) I would take a break from it. Experiment to see how much you can take without losing sleep. Believe me, it will catch up with you.
