Spleen tumor in a dog

Hi, I hope this will be of some help to someone out there. My female German Shepherd aged 15yrs was diagnosed with a ruptured spleen tumor and given 2wks to live. She was having injections to stop her bleeding to death every few days but the vets opinion was to put her sleep. This was nearly 6mths ago. I have my girl on 'china 20C', 'ceanothus 3x', aspidosperma 30C, I also give her 1 garlic oil tablet daily, 500mg of Vit C. Her tumor shrunk to a 1/5th of its original size and she's been running around like a 6yr old dog. Unfortunately I think the cancer may have spread and the tumor looks like its has grown again so now I'm googling everything I can to see if I can find anything else to help her. Also, her diet is pretty much carb-free but I have to give her cat food in the morning to get her medication into her which probably isnt doing her any good but its better than not having her meds. If your beloved pooch has this type of cancer, please try these (her new homeopathic vet put her on these) and if you know of anything else I can try - please post it - thanks

I tried the castor oil and both times my dog got bad nosebleeds. He has a nasal tumor. Not sure if it was coincidence or if the castor oil actually caused it. I still have him on the essiac tea.

Hi, don't know if anyone can help me but I've been to the vet with my dog Tabby and the vet wo'nt operate on his growth - it is on the left side of his bum area and it's the size of a golf ball and its an open wound kind of like a tomato cut in half all open. It is too near his bum area to operate in case he can't get the toilet.

What can I do? Nothing the vet is giving me is working. Can someone please advise me im at my wits end...

First off, I would get a second opinion on operating since it is open, it may get infected.

If you are looking for an at home remedy to try, read through this thread. https://www.earthclinic.com/pets/turmeric2.html

In particular, look under "Large Growths". It is the second section on the page. Try the turmeric, coconut oil and lecithin powder as an external treatment. (Some have tried caster oil in place of coconut oil.) See the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7aTYDwLBuw

Let us know how you make out.

Perianal Hernia Remedies
Posted by Dominique (New Orleans, Louisiana) on 02/27/2009

I have successfully used Ted's Remedies and now I have a new problem. My dog just had puppies January 11, 2009. One of them was born with what I thought was a tumor but after using these remedies for 2 weeks with no results I have discovered that what I thought was a tumor is actually a perineal Hernia. There is not cure posted on this sight for hernias. I am trying a fully raw diet, castor oil, vitamin c and e. What else can I do to get rid of this hideous looking thing. It is like cottage cheese right by her vagina and when I squeeze it I can hear it ooze. I am thinking cayenne pepper, what can help my puppy. She is very happy and playful. She does not even know that it exists.

When using castor oil on a dog for a non cancerous tumor, do I need to warm the castor oil, and if so, for how long?

Valerie I saw that you used castor oil successfully on your dog's cyst and you also indicated that it had burst. I purchased castor oil for my Boxer's cyst, which has also burst, and noticed that the castor oil has a warning which states "do not use on open wound." So I am wondering if you used it on your dog when the wound was still open. My Boxer keeps licking the wound and so it never seems to have the chance to heal. I was hoping that the castor oil would heal it quickly, but don't want to use it if using it on the open wound is dangerous.

Thanks VG

I was just reading on www.castoroilhome.com,

"Castor oil primarily contains ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid component that is notable for its many healing benefits for the human body. Ricinoleic acid possesses the ability to draw toxins and other poisonous components out of the tissues, thereby restoring the health of parts of your body that have been infected.

Castor oil, a natural plant oil extracted from the castor bean seed, is said to pull out tumors from the body, according to American psychic Edgar Cayce. It is often recommended for the treatment of tumors near the surface.

Aside from reducing or dissolving tumors, castor oil is also regarded as a natural remedy for other swellings in the skin. It can be massaged on bunions, moles, warts, calluses, and cysts. There are also reports that uterine fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts that are benign or non-cancerous may also be addressed by castor oil.

They also said, don't use it on cancerous growths as it may aggravate the condition.

Hello, today I just found a golf ball size tumor on my dogs neck, which isn't opened. I came across the castor oil cure and just wanted to know if it would work on the tumor if the tumor felt like it was connected to something inside his neck? It doesn't feel like a loose tumor. I don't mind taking him to the vet if I have to, not that I dont want to, just have to get extra money. I appreciate your time and answer. Thank you soo much.

I have a 10 yr old pitbull. She was diagnosed with a madt cell tumor on her leg a yr ago. I have put her on a grain free diet. She also has a very enlarged spleen and liver but no cancer there. I just started rubbing castor oil on her liver area, I hope this works but can I rub it on her mast cell tumor? I just want her to feel good. Oh tried chemo and it turned her skin black and she had a very serious side effect so I stopped right away.

Castor Oil

Castor oil can be used internally, but it is often used for constipation. So it could cause diarrhea. You might consider turmeric for your dog as it is an anti-tumor herb. Also, Essiac Tea.

I only just stumbled on this site. I have a 12 year old Yellow lab with a Gi-normous fatty tumor that has grown around her front shoulder/chest. It is impeding her ability to move around and causing the leg to 'go out'. It seems many of the people here are dealing with much smaller tumors and are able to apply the castor oil (is that with or without the aloe-vera oil?) and then cover with a band-aid. What if the tumor is too big to use a band-aid? Also, my dog has a small (its laughable really compared to the fatty tumor) mast cell tumor on it's belly. Will this treatment possibly work well for it as well? Can I use the oil in conjunction with the alkaline drops (will they help to shrink the cancer?)Any advice is appreciated. Aside from having trouble moving due to the fatty tumor she is not symptomatic as far as the cancer and still has much life in her.

Have you tried the Budwig diet of Flaxseed oil and lowfat cottage cheese combined for the mast cell tumor? Just type Budwig diet for canine in your search engine and you will come up with a plethora of information. Hope this helps like other dogs have been helped.

to answer the question for your dog dutches, i applied the castor oil topically. right on top of the tumor. i wouldn't suggest giving it internally to your dog since castor oil is a stimulant laxative. you might end up doing alot of cleaning up! i hope it works for dutches

Can you tell me if Sadiebelle's cyst had ruptured? How long did it take to clear up? My Boxer has a cyst that she just won't let heal, as she keeps licking it as soon as it seems to be almost dried up. Although it is never completely gone it does look like it has shrunk alot, once the stuff inside (mostly blood)oozes out.

I am not sure that I can use the castor oil on the cyst when it is still open and bleeding a bit, as the bottle says not to use on an open wound.

Over 3 years ago, our cat, Flora, developed a mass (tumour) in her abdomen and lost a significant amount of weight. She was about 12 years old at the time. I started giving her a dropper of concentrated essiac tea once a day and mixing about 1/2 teaspoon of the powdered herbs in her food. The tumor went away and she put weight back on. She is now 15 years old and doesn't look or act like a 15 year old cat. I've continued to give her the dropper of concentrate at least once a week up to every other day. I've also given the powdered essiac herbs to our dog for allergy eye drainage that would easily get infected. Since we started the dog on this, her allergy eye problem has been gone for over a year now. Again, about 1/2 tsp once a day.

I have a 14 year old CAT (Patches) in critical condition. Her Vet can not operate, and expects me back "SOON"... to "put her to sleep". They don't call it, what it really is! (Taking Her Life!) I "Must Know" QUICKLY: Which version of ESSIAC TEA, she used for her CAT. "4 Herb" or "8 Herb" and specifically, "WHICH HERBS" are in it! One Version has "RED CLOVER" in it, which can be "FATAL" to "CATS"! Patches is just to precious... to just give up on, and not even try to save her. And I fully believe: She can be saved by the ESSIAC TEA and other natural means - if I can just get it in her "A.S.A.P."!!! PLEASE HELP ME - SAVE MY PATCHES! I, NEED HER!!!

Hi Gayle from Tulsa. I am going to try this route. My 10 1/2 year old Annie has a huge mass in her stomach. Blood tests normal, xrays show large mass. Her behavior is fine, she has lost weight, and throws up her food and goes to the bathroom number 2 on my bathroom floor. Peas in her litter box. I want to help her but will not give the vets any more money especially 500 for an ultrasound. They tell me that I have a long road ahead even if i find out what it is exactly. I want to save my beautiful Annie. What food are you feeding the cat? I currently feed her kd and a natural frozen food from whole foods. How often should I give her the tea and for how long? Should I order a lot? Please get back to me ASAP, so i can help my little one. She is in no pain either. Thanks so much. [email protected]

The castor oil thing is too hard to try in this area. I tried for a few days. He is an uncontrollable psycho to do things too, even just pills, sometimes. Hope this can be of help to someone. The liquid concentrate is a huge bottle & I ordered the smallest one, maybe not so huge if treating a dog, tho.

My 12 year old cat Molly has a tumor up her nose and is losing her sight. I have read about Essiac Tea. As I live in England I don't know where to purchase this. I am really desperate to try Essiac Tea, could you please help if you have any information about it and where I can purchase it from. I would be very grateful for your help. The vet says it might not be possible to operate to remove the tumor as it is uo her nose and if it get any larger I would have to put her to sleep. I really do not want it to come to this as she is so precious to me.

Posted by Lindy (Mill Park, Victoria, Australia) on 11/25/2011

Hi Christine, I have sent you an email about where to get Essiac but wanted to post on this site as well. The website that Catherine from Brackettville, Texas mentions above is the correct ORIGINAL Essiac site as there is only ONE company that makes the Essiac as per nurse Rene Caisse's formula. I purchase mine from one of their distributors - All Things Healthy in NZ. They are great to deal with and reasonable on price.

My cat Ally is a 16 yr old Blue Burmese. She has a tumour in her mouth, at first it was under her chin but now has one under her jaw in her neck. The vet said it is in her soft tissue and not operable. I started her on essiac in August and the lump under her chin has disappeared but the other one hasn't yet. She had previously had 4 teeth removed which I think started the cancer feeding. I am now rubbing castor oil on it twice a day but only began this a few days ago. My problem now is that she is having trouble eating, I don't know if the tumour is getting bigger on the inside and causing her problems as she can't keep her tongue in now, it pokes out a little all the time. She had a little blood in her food and I wiped it from her mouth last night when she tried to eat but I cannot see any cause when I look in her mouth. The blood appeared from the side the tumour is on. Could the castor oil be causing this?

Does anyone have any suggestions to get her to eat so she isn't in discomfort. She can still drink fine. Any help appreciated, she is very precious to me.
