I want to thank you for this website. I have come here countless times for remedies; they work every time! I am so thankful to have this valuable resource for free!!! The most recent remedy that I tried was Tea Tree Oil for strep throat. I have had strep twice in my life. The first time I went to the doctor and got a prescription. It took about 3 days for the pain to subside enough for me to be able to eat. The second time I got strep was a month ago. I drank small doses of Tea Tree Oil several times a day and was able to swallow the next day with almost no tenderness. For me, Tea Tree Oil works miracles for strep.

Tea Tree Oil should NEVER be taken internally.

Manuka Honey is honey made by bees visiting the same plant where Tea Tree Oil comes from... So if you want something *internal*, you should be eating Manuka Honey. Tea Tree Oil is for *external* use only!

My sister turned me onto oil of bitter orange years ago to cure strep throat. At first I didn't believe her, especially when she told me that she got some agar and swabbed her throat and then swabbed the agar and had it tested positive for strep. She then used the oil of bitter orange 3x a day and for 3 days after all symptoms are gone and done. I tried this and it worked for me too. How to apply: Oil of bitter orange tastes very intense. Take a long handled q tip and dip into oil. Apply to inside of throat where it hurts. It will taste pretty bad but for the few who have done this 3 x a day and then for 3 more days after all symptoms are gone, Also, do not eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes after applying so it can do it's work. it has worked beautifully. I have also used oil of oregano which I am told is even stronger to great results for a very sore throat.
