I have tried doing this with table salt and seen a difference but still not perfection pink colour but I'm chuffed at how well it's made a difference, but I'm sure I did something wrong like the salt on the tongue I only had on for around 1 min because I was literally about to be sick, but nonetheless I'm about to do again thanks so much!
Hydrogen Peroxide, Sea Salt
hii.. How is your tongue now?.. do you have to do the 'cure' daily?..thanx..
Hydrogen Peroxide, Sea Salt
35% peroxide is WAY too strong. Dangerous that way.
Toothpaste Without Chemicals
A while ago I read a comment here where someone said that the coated tongue had got better after cleaning the teeth with a more natural tooth paste. As I have had this problem all my life and nothing seemed to make it better today I decided to go looking for one and guess what? After doing it just once my tongue was pink and has stayed that way for the rest of the day. Let's see whether it won't get coated again but so far so good. This is a tooth paste without flouride or other additives and it has salt made by a well known brand of health products.
im 42, ive had a white tongue for about 6 months, it also is now going brown, like ive been smoking (i dont smoke , use drugs and would be lucky to drink one beer a month), dont have massive sugar or anything overload in my diet
tongue tastes horrid and feels like ive burnt it, rear teeth coated, tried everything:
oral medicine from doctor (mild response but made stomach sore)
water drinking increase
now trying rock salt, which cleans it better, but it still keeps coming back
its driving me insane, waking to it every morn (i brush tongue with salt and gargle) then by afternoon its back.
I had the same problem with my tongue several months ago. I found out that I was taking too much cod liver oil, it had too much vit A and D in it. I quit taking the cod liver oil and started taking the flaxseed oil and I started brushing my tongue with tooth paste and peroxide,.... my tongue turned pink again. Hope this helps
I had a white coated tongue for most of my life (52 years old). Yesterday I decided to follow some advice I read here and bought natural tooth paste with salt. It is more expensive than normal tooth pastes but well, it did the trick right away. My tongue was clean from the first time I brushed my teeth with it and it is still clean today. I think that all that stuff in tooth pastes is not good for you.
It might be something in your diet causing the issue. I get a white tongue when I drink milk or soy milk and a brown tongue when I eat honey! Goat milk and rice milk is okay for me, no white tongue. Experiment by removing one food after another to find out what the culprit is. It could also be a sign of candida overgrowth.Good luck to you!
Okay so im 18 and I just got my tongue pierced 3 days ago. I do have that white stuff on my tongue and I really want to get rid of it since I got my tongue pierced. What should I do? should I wait till my piercing heals completely or should I do the salt method or any method now? and will my piercing get infected? thnx
Toothpaste Without Chemicals
Hi, have had a coated tongue for years (33 yo) and don't know why. Brush it every night gargled, use salt, have a healthy diet blah blah blah.
I've recently (2 months ago), having read of the dangers of parabens and Sodium Laurel Sulphate, stopped using all cleansing products apart from a little, food grade shower gel on armpits, groin and bum. I extended this to toothpaste 2 days ago, I now use one with aloevera and teatree oil in. My tongue has gone clean!
Also, in this time, my very mild but persistent 'bacne' has cleared up, my forehead bumps have gone down, and I'm regrowing little hairs on my, sadly, thinning pate.
I think I was allergic to the chemicals.
What toothpaste did you use?
Toothpaste Without Chemicals
There is a pink herbal gum and toothpaste you get here in Ireland and UK - which used to be, and still is, sold under one brandname [not common] - but also seems to be copied or taken over by another well-known mainstream mouth hygeine brand. Its salty and has various herbs including echinacea and myrrh and sage - it does wonders for my mouth health, along with probiotic lozenges. After getting used to this toothpaste it is revolting to use those standard frothy ones that make my mouth and tongue feel disgusting. These things definitely keep BB and white tongue in check - they don't completely cure my BB, but am going to try other things mentioned on this site.
Strangely also try rice milk as an instant neutraliser of BB - [I am lucky enough to have a saintly being who doesn't mind checking my BB before and after trying these things.]
I have always had a thick white coating on my tongue. While drinking a few glasses of red wine (i think very cheap and bad quality as the taste was very sour and it came from China) i felt some tinkling on my tongue and a bit burning. The tinkling was as if small blisters burst open. The next day the white coating was dark purple from the wine, and after brushing the colour was still here. One or two days later i looked at my tongue and it was pink! Never seen this in my life before, and not justa little pink. But fresh, smooth, clean, the best and nicest tongue i have ever seen. Like photoshopped!
Now after 9 weeks it is coming back a little but, not too much. I wish i could find that wine again!
Anybody here has an idea about what in this red wine might have caused this amazing result?
Cream of tartar perhaps.
Table salt is dangerous and should be considered poisonous. Try using kosher salt or sea salt ;)
I have had a white coating...shag rug to be more accurate, for most of my life (I'm mid 40's). I just thought it was normal. I tried this salt cure...and dang...my tongue looks SO much better. I didn't really measure..just made a paste for my toothbrush..kept in on for 4 minutes then brushed a few more times. I'm so embarrassed that I have been blasting people with my nasty breath for so many years when such an easy cure was available. I'm going to try Lactobacillus supplements to prevent reoccurence.
Strangely, I have a white coating on the walls of my mouth, especially where the teeth join. I also have a white tongue and sometimes even the roof of my mouth turns white. I also have little red dots on my tongue and sometimes my tongue looks almost hairy. I recently found out that if I go through a whole pack of Lofthouse's Fisherman's Friend Lozenges, by the end of the day the white coating is gone and all that is left is the little red dots. I just bough two more packs and am going to go through them both over the next two days to see if I can get rid of this for good. I'm also going to rinse with salt water in the hopes of getting rid of bacteria.
I read on here about using sea salt and someone said to keep it on for like 4 mins, well I did that and I was salivating like crazy and that was 2 days ago. It did not cure it, and now my tongue does feel numb or like I burned it or something. It feels really weird and I hope this isn't permanent.
I found a bottle of vegetable glycerin in a health food store for about $5. I put a few drops on my toothbrush and bushed my tongue. It has been white for years even after hydrogen peroxide, salt, different toothpastes. After using glycerin for a day my tongue is almost totally pink. My mouth also tastes sweet but not overly so.
After trying H202 and several other remedies in vain I must say that I am extremely pleased with Glycerin for my coated tongue. I just bought some at my local drug store (not vegetable glycerin either), and upon first brush I could see it cleaning it up better than anything else did, and almost immediately! Granted I am only 10 minutes into this particular experiment but I am certainly optimistic! Thank you Earth Clinic.
Hello, it is now Oct 2011. Does this glycerin remedy have lasting effect? I have tried so many different things but seem like the bacterias that cause halitosis just outrun/adapt to the remedy everytime. Fighting a losing battle here.
Hi Sam, If the problem persists, find out if you have tonsil stones & have them removed, they are not called devils breath for nothing. Good luck. Go to youtube & type in tonsil stones.
I try to live as healthy as possible, but I do smoke and drink coffee. For as long as I remember, my tongue has had a grayish white coating on it, extending almost from the tip all the way to the back. Today I bought a bottle of USP Glycerin from the local drug store after reading this thread and the results have been super amazing. Not only does my tongue look much much better and pinker, it also feels nicer and cleaner in my mouth. I feel kissable again! <3
Hi All! I've had BB for about 7 years(brush and it's smells bad again in 15 minutes) so thinking it was tonsil stones (had lots of throat infections & strep) I got my tonsils removed in early Oct. This didn't help the BB issue at all or stop the dry mouth and white tongue.
After looking at EC ... This morning I brushed my teeth and tongue with gylcerin and then with baking soda and 3% hydrogen peroxide. It took the white away immediately and my mouth has had a fresh feeling since.. Even after eating. I'll continue this and let you guys know how it turns out. I'm excited to possibly be able to talk to ppl with out adverse reactions.
You mean pour glycerin plus toothpaste or without toothpaste on my toothbrush?
That glycerin really works. I have not seen my red tongue for a long time. I put 3 drops on my toothbrush and brush my tongue slightly. Then use a tongue scraper to copmlete the job. My tongue stays pink until I eat again. I carry a small bottle of glycerin and a travel toothbrush to use after eating. Thank you for sharing this amazing tip.
I tried this remedy to brush my tongue with, but then I got scared bc I read that glycerin is a GMO food (genetically modified). So be careful!
Do u still use toothpaste or just the glycerin when brushing your teeth?
I just brought thymol mouthwash does it work?
I was so excited to try the salt remedy that everyone here mentioned to cure by white tongue, but I'm afraid it did not work...at all. I did the rinsing with sea salt, then sprinkled salt on my tongue and let it sit there for five minutes, then three times brushed my tongue with a sea salt/water paste, and it did nothing to remove the whiteness on my tongue and make it any pinker.
Why don't you give hydrogen peroxide a try. Go on that page and read the feedback about swishing it in your mouth. You can use 3% full strength. When I do it, I do it while I'm showering and hold it in my mouth for probably about a minute. It whitens the teeth, cleans the breath, kills bacteria and your tongue becomes nice and pink. Check it out. Lisa
You can use bicarbonate soda + lemon juice It's really perfect!!
White coated tongue is an indication of imbalances. Google "diagnosis by tongue".
It worked amazingly well. After trying many things including Apple Cider Vinegar, I saw a huge improvement after one time with the acidophilus. I have not been on antibiotics in years, but it still worked. Well worth a try.
Question: The original post from Fred said to swallow the acidophilus mix, however Noodles said he was "brushing with "the cure"".
Are we supposed to do the Fred or Noodles technique?
Can we get these capsules over the counter at a drug store?
Acidophilus worked for one day. Glycerin worked for one hour. I am getting fed up of this someone please help!
Yes - the acidophilus is working well for me, too.
One important caveat, however:
The key (for me, at least) is to use the "deep down" version of acidophilus, known as "pearls, " which are coated, so that they are not destroyed during the digestion process (by stomach acids, etc. ). This way, they can really do the work they need to do much deeper down in the "gut" area of your system.
Please note: There are a few different brands of probiotics that have this kind of special protective coating, not just the ones known commercially as "pearls, " though these happen to be the ones I have been using, mainly because they were the ones available at my local store (and also because they do not require refrigeration, so you can travel easily with them). I will probably keep exploring all different brand options among these coated varieties of probiotics to see which ones I ultimately like best.
Can you please tell me what is the cure? I have white tongue and need help in getting rid of it. Thank you.
To get rid of candida which is the common cause of bad breath and acne, it is recommended to take oregano oil for two to three weeks. Take a break for two weeks and then take olive leaf extract for two week. Take a break for two weeks and so on. Do that for a period of no longer than eight weeks in total. Olive leaf and oil of oregano which is available on Amazon.com. Candigest is a powerful supplement which digests the cellulose (of which candida is largely composed) and kills the yeast. You are also suggested to take Candigest for a period of 30-60 days.

Can you be more specific regarding the amounts to take for your remedy? I have the oregano and olive leaf, but I need to know how much and when (once a day, twice, etc) I am interested to know if this will help. I don't plan to take the candigest, but feel that using nature's own I night be just as successful. miraclecows1(AT)msn.com
@anon from Bronx, Ny- Can you please share the exact name of the product you purchased and used? Many thanks in advance for your response.
Acidophlus (probiotics) works but it has to be the right kind. I tried salt and glycerin which worked only temporarily. I'm also taking oil of oregano, so it might be helping probiotics to remove the white coating...
Thanks to all the responses, I have battled this problem seven years which caused me to isolate myself from people because of the bad smell of the white coating. I am convinced that probiotic tx will work and on my way to buy it now. Will let you know how I'm doing. Maybe my confidence will come back to talk face to face again!!!
After reading all the reply about "acidophilus" I bought one and used it like you mention. It's been 4 days since and my coated-white tongue get worse! What do I do?
Can anyone name a brand of acidophilus that can cure a white tongue? Thank you!
What was the brand that you used? Thanks!
Helo im here coz i stil have white coating on my tongue and halitosis as well, i tried brushng my tongue using baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and now the charcoal powder..And i stil have a sour taste n my mouth when i wake up. Somebody plz help me get rid of ths embarasing problem.
try to brush your tongue with salt...it takes the white stuff off!
If you want to cure bad breath and white tongue try Manucca Honey each day. Just a teaspoon each morning. It takes about 2 weeks to work. The higher the umm in the honey the better
Hi, Just want to help, the sour taste is caused by maybe Gastric Acid, I experienced that before as well as Halitosis, what I did was I went to a Doctor "Gastro" for medication, they gave me anti acid medicine, try consulting a Doctor first. Hope this helps.
Chinese Medicine Diagnosis of the Tongue
Hello Kevin, You stated that "Yellow means heat is inside "but didn't say how to treat this. I've only recently come up with a yellowish tongue and would like to get rid of it... any ideas?
Chinese Medicine Diagnosis of the Tongue
With the orange peel are you suppose to chew it or drink it as hot tea?
Chinese Medicine Diagnosis of the Tongue
It is dried, and used in soups or teas.
Chinese Medicine Diagnosis of the Tongue
From my research white or yellow or dirty tongue indicates a heavy bacterial issue. Those with this issue usually have it persitently along with bad breath. I have suffered from this all my life. I have just had a deviated septum repair. I was hoping it may relieve my symptoms. But I now have the flu which make the tongue condition worse. Many old remedies dont kill the bacteria. Normal toothpaste also. My conclusion? The sinus's and or nasal cavity in these people are slightly defective. Advances in knowledge may find the problems in the future. I know people who dont practice oral hygiene at all and never have bad breath and always have a nice healthy tongue colour. Im going to try Thera Breath toothpaste and oxyd-8 to complete my research. they show good reviews but I am always sceptical.Cheers
Salt cure for white coating on the tongue... I only noticed that I had this issue last week when a friend asked if I had eaten a banana or something. I decided to google and stumbled onto this site. I brushed with some salt and saw improvement and then read more. I coated my whole tongue with it and kept it on as long as possible (about four minutes). Worked like a charm. I am really delighted. But if you rinse with peroxide it will look like it came back for a minute lol.
helo YEA.. i really like your posts.. (though i dont try one yet) .. it sounds effective.. may i ask you how to effectively remove white coating on tongue? i look closely in the mirror while brushing and i notice that the white coating in my tongue has ahhh,, well i cant spell it in english.. but pieces of white particles.. it looks awful.. and minutes after i brush.. breathe goes bad again.. for the last 2 weeks ive been brushing my tongue roughly.. it even bleeds 3 times but i ignored it just to remove this awful coating.. but its very tight and i think i cant remove it with just the way i am trying. so i think i need suggestions of the experienced.. And also dieting and not eating sugarly foods makes your tongue pink? is it true? please HELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEE !!! :(
I've experimented with the white tongue for 6 months. Tried:
1. Honey. No success.
2. Salt - strong effect, but no success.
3. Oregano Oil - stings, but no success.
4. Peppermint Oil - failure.
5. Listerine(Eucalptus oil) - failure.
6. Baking Soda - success for 1 day, failure afterwards.
7. Borax - success for 1 day, failure afterwards.
8. Diluted Bleach - turns tounge white, failure.
9. Acidified Bleach - 1/2 cap of bleach plus 2 TBSP ACV. This should create Hypochlorite. Turns toungue whiter. No success. This is supposed to have 10x the killing power of bleach.
10. Olive Oil - this started to turn my teeth yellow. Bad Failure. Candida may feed on the Oleic acid in Olive Oil. I dunno, but I ended this experiment early.
11. Turmeric - partial improvement. Temporary. Turns tounge yellow.
12. Mega-Garlic - partial improvement. Temporary. Tongue turns brown. I got some bloodblisters on the "cheek-gums" where white blisters previously existed. Took a few days. But these multi-month whit cheek blisters actually healed. This one probably works if you're willing to follow it through for a month.
13. Coconut Oil. Partial Success. Assuming it's candida, I will say that this kills the Aeorbic form, and not the Anerobic form. Some of the white stuff instantly disappears, and some doesn't. Coconut oil definitely does something.
14. Vinnegar and Borax mix. This is at least as good as the coconut oil. Two anti-infectives mixed. Success is temporary, but you can prevent any infection from getting worse... at least hold it to a stalemate. There is a commercial drug that uses this (Dermapet). I don't mention the brand name to promote it, but instead to say there is science behind it, and clinical studies, which are listed on the website. On a side note... I have tried three different ACV's, Heinz, Publix, and _____s. I suspect the organic one, braggs, to have live acidophilus whereas the others which were pasteurized don't... as the braggs aftertaste lasted for 24 hours. Most of the white stuff disappears, some of it doesn't.
15. Potassium Iodide(KI) - placed a 64 mg ki pill on the white area of the gum, that wasn't cured by the ACV/Borax mix... cured that area... I'm thinking that's the anerobic form of candida.
16. Providone - once per day - does something. Also turns toungue brown.
17. Providone/Borax mix. The comparable drug is by Frio Technologies. This has clinical trials ongoing, with success on Gingivitis, and ongoing testing for Thrush. Whereas Providone turns your tongue brown, this mix doesn't.
18. Providone - 6x per day. Started this a week ago. I've seen zero yeast in my mouth for a week. Got the blood-blister effect like the garlic (without being smellY). Seen no yeast in my mouth for a week. 1/2 of the top of my tongue turned dark brown. Seems to be scabbing up and healing. No need for the tongue scraper any more. I think I have a cure, but need more time (wait for the scabs to heal).
A healthy mouth has 600 different bacteria plus fungus's, virus's, protozoa. Perhaps the definition of healthy mouth is flawed. Something is broken in mine. We'll see if I can fix it. Current Regimin is Coconut oil plus Providone(Iodine).
Iodine supposedly kills 90% of bacteria, disolves starches(yeast), and metals. If you are iodine deficient, which I may be(2 billion people are (WHO), this may help. Bacteria and yeast may reproduce quick so doseage may be small, but frequent(ie every couple hours).
I believe I have a cure, but need more time. Will re-post in 1 week or 2.
I tried other stuff too, listerine, peroxide, etc...
However, I suspect 4 things... Chloride deficiency, Iodine Deficiency, Potassium Deficiency, Candida/Yeast overgrowth as the root cause. With a high potassium diet, I can turn the tongue red again for a few hours. With a teaspoon of KI, I can do the same thing.
As a high salt diet is the Merck Veterinary Cure for Candida in chickens, I suspect a chloride deficiency may cause gut problems, and yeast overgrowth, and poor digestion.
I've got premature greying, which I suspect may be Iodine deficiency(since I don't eat fish). Iodine kills yeast(and more bacteria than Chlorine).
Potassium deficiency in animals causes the intestines to turn white. I suspect the tongue as well. I suspect it just neutralizes the acids of Bacteria, and without it, they damage you, and stuff turns white do to damage.
With the providone experiment, things are going great. A little slower than I wanted. No yeast in the mouth. Receding Gumlines unreceding. Strange 6 month pimples on the forehead near the hairline, healing. I would recommend this.
However, 1% providone is the minimum concentration to kill alot of bad stuff. Providone usually comes in 10% bottles. Saliva will dilute it. Providone from CVS is different from Providone in Walgreens(other ingredients).
Warning: Too much providone for too long is bad; molecular iodine like molecular chlorine can damage cells at a specific concentration for specific duration... I don't know what this number is though. The iodine is less toxic than chlorine though (both msds and experimentation).
Have any of the people reporting here with white tongue been exposed to raccoon, or mouse droppings, or have a dog that has been exposed to the droppings? I am thinking that there might be a connection from the intestional issues, Candida, and Baylisascaris procyonis.
EC: For those interested in learning more about Baylisascaris procyonis (roundworm infection of raccoons): http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/eid/vol8no4/01-0273.htm
Do you drink the providone iodine or just gargle it?
Cutlured/fermented vegetables like sauerkraut can cure a white tongue in a day!! Take 2 tablespoons to 1/2 cup 2 -3X a day with meals and you'll see the difference immediately! Make sure you buy RAW, LIVE, UNPASTEURIZED sauerkraut sold at health food stores- not the processed kind with no nutrients sold at supermarkets!
White coating on tongue: I tried all of the remedies suggested on this page and none of them worked! I was wondering if it meant baking powder of bicarbonate of soda? Anyway, completely by accident I discovered that if you put a pea sized amount of special tooth and gum toothpaste for treating gum disease on your tongue for a minute, it will give a pink tongue for the day! This is only temporary and it tastes yucky, but it is simple and easy.
EC: In the USA, we call bicarbonate of soda (and not baking powder) "Baking Soda".
Cure A White Coating on the Tongue:
Never felt compelled to leave feedback on a website before but was so impressed by how quickly salt worked ridding my tongue of its horrid white coating, I just had to! Saw this posted, and as it was such a cheap and easy remedy I thought should give it a go. Unfortunately the experience of spreading around 1/2 teaspoon salt on my tongue wasn't pleasant (could barely stop mysef from gagging) but after gargling with salt water, then brushing salt on my tongue with a toothbrush, it was gone! A normal healthy looking pink tongue at last! And long may it last..
Work amazingly!! regular table salt will do! put it on my tongue for about 40 seconds, then brushed with salt on my toothbruush three times and boom, most of the white coat was gone!! great remedy!! im excited!
I have searched for the brush you describe and cannot find it. Could you please post the brand name here or, if not allowed, email me at elsaeasterly (@) yahoo.com without the spaces, of course?
To create such a toothbrush yourself, just take a lighter and set it to the smallest flame. Light it and hold the part near the brushes about 5cm from it. It will slowly heat up, making it bendable. Gently bend it in the right curve and hold the toothbrush under water to make it solid again. I did this with my toothbrush, and finally got rid of the bacteria at the back of my tongue: brushing with baking soda and glycerine, cleaning areas previously impossible.
White tongue coating. READ THIS............
Getting to the source of the problem. There may be many reasons that we have a white tongue, but there could be something that many of us have in common that we are eating, chemical exposure, dehydration, medication, etc.
Please note: Be careful with cleaning your tongue as some people develop constant tongue burning that does not go away.
Let's answer these questions so that we may see if we are doing something in common that is contributing to a white tonuge coating. Please feel free to add questions that you feel may have contributed to your white tongue coating. Try to think of something new that you did, something you ate, something you may have been exposed to, new medications, that you changed before you started getting a white tongue coating.
Please do not use any brand names as we are not allowed to use them on this site.

So wut am I doing to cause the white coating? one more thing if I may add a question... Have you ever used chewing tobacco? no but it can lead to many tounge problems
Hi Jan, Never heard of anyone having tonsil stones before, but the same old EV olive oil & lemon juice that works on kidney stones, should also dissolve stones located in the gallbladder, parotid glands or elsewhere.
Hi Jan, Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT resort to having your tonsils or uvula removed to get rid of your tonsil stones. I did just that in January 08 and here it is a year and a half later and I'm still suffering for it. Because of the operation, I developed LPR (acid reflux of the mouth instead of the chest). My mouth is dry 24 hours a day, I have a permanently coated white tongue, nothing but air in my mouth (no taste inside), and can no longer eat any of my favorite foods because my throat will immediately close up and my mouth will be dry for months. I drink only water all day long and that helps for maybe 2 seconds and then I'm bone-dry again. I'm on this website because the coating on my tongue has gotten worse.
It is the biggest regret of my life, because you can't run away from the feeling inside your mouth. It's awful, so please do not consider it. Live with the tonsil balls and cough them out as much as possible and keep up really great oral hygiene. Trust me, as much as I hated those tonsil balls, I'd sell my soul to have them back now.
Good luck! Email back if you have questions.
I suffered from tonsil stones for years and then decided to get the tonsils out. I feel that it was the best decision I have ever made. I do suffer from white tounge coating from time to time, but I think it has more to do with yeast overgrowth than anything else. I say it depends on the person. I am thankful to be rid of those nasty and annoying tonsil stones.
Are you lactose intolerant. I used to get tonsil stones and realized it had to do with drinking milk.
Great to hear the salt worked for you? How long did it last? Did your family notice your breath wasfresher? (I am concerned that the reason people instantly get pink tongues is because the salt burned their tongue and that's just blood under the surface showing.
I have been battling with a white tounge as well. All I read are these horrible conditions that cause the white coating. I also suffer from IBS and was excited to read this post. Thank you, I will be researching more on this!!!! And trying salt!!!!
It worked for a while, but it doesn't stop the coating for good and all the dryness of the mouth. Do you know how can we stop that?
As far as I can tell, if it is returning repeatedly, you need to balance the pH of your body with one of the remedies posted elsewhere on the website, namely, Ted's formulas taking probiotics or using some over the counter supplement to balance the pH.
So I've been suffering from white coated tongue for the longest I have tried a couple things and nothing seem to work. I lost my sexual life, family life due to this situation and really what I would like to know is does the salt treatment really work. Cause I need a cure or all hope is lost for me.
i was looking for a cure for coated tongue and the first posting i read was on salt, i tried it right away and it worked so simple really, i felt foolish because it is also so logical.
It works temporarily but when will the white tongue permanently go away???
John, I have tried all the usual tricks and treatments to cure this and the best I have come up with is to just to simply get a warm face flannel and rub the tongue twice a day. Job done. Of course you can use salt or whatever, but once I had cleaned up any possible candida (with Milk of Magnesia and or borax/bicarbonate), I found it wasn't necessary to use that any more. I know this may sound all to simplistic but I assure you that you will chuckle to yourself when you see the results.
