For younger looking skin forever, eat 5 oranges per day, that is it! You'll be surprised at the things nature has provided us with.
Organic Oils and Baking Soda
I make facial scrub out of organic oils (I switch it up, sometimes EVOO, sometimes sweet almond, avocado, etc) and baking soda. I use this every couple of days and allow it to sit on my skin for just a few mins before rinsing (too much and it'll irritate so be careful). I also make toner out of ACV, witch hazel, brewed green tea and some essential oils. I use straight coconut oil as a moisturizer. It's funny because I tend to have oily skin but this combo has dealt with it amazingly!! I love the results on my skin, however, my husband has had to get used to the smell!

I read that using pepto bismol on your face gives you a glow and gets rid of dead skin cell. I used it and my face had a nice glow all day it is great. However I was wondering if using it for a long period of time will get rid of wrinkles?

Hi, I am seeking any information on the above chemical/salt compound which is used as a preservative in food/cosmetics etc. I believe the main source is from toluene which I don't fancy, but I can't find anything that satisifies me as to its' being inoccuous or otherwise. I am considering purchasing a so called natural skin cream which contains this ingredient and am hoping yourselves or Ted perhaps can allay my fears. Thank you for a wonderful site and I have passed your information on to many who have benefited greatly from what is found here. Hoping this is not too much to ask. Sincerely Andrea
EC: Hi Andrea, what is the name of the chemical/salt compound you are seeking information about? Thanks..

Beware of product ingredients: Even though my Dermotogist recommended Cetaphil, I am not comfortable with the ingredients. Cetaphil has PARABENS (a preservative that is linked with allergic reations, skin rashes and has shown up in breast cancer tumors), PEG (enhances the absortion of other ingredients in cetaphil and is know to cause ezcema, hives and can interfere with your reproductive health), SLS (cheap detergent in soaps/shampoos and causes eye irritation, dry scalp, and strips skins natural oils), PETROLATUM (inexpensive moisturizer that leaves a film on your skin preventing it from breathing, sweating, and releasing toxins in your skin). If you look up POD, you will find that most websites do not recommend using any SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate). Also, if you look up CETAPHIL FAQ on their website you will find some information about parabens without informing you of its causes. FYI, Galderma is also linked with acne prescription drugs which is linked to our dermotologist who get kick backs from this company. Be aware of how these companies work together for money. I have tried the ACV and recommend using it. I am going to my local health food store to get more information on a natural cure. My derm did give me antibiotics and doxy...which Im not wanting to take. Best wishes.
EC: Thanks, Rebecca. What condition are you treating? Until we hear back, we're putting your post on the skin care remedies page!
Ozonated Olive Oil
I have become a huge fan of Ozonated Olive Oil. First off it's definitely the best all natural underarm deodorant I've ever used. Only have to use it every other day. It works for insect bites, speeds wound healing, burns, etc. But I've found it really helps reduce wrinkles if used consistently over a couple week period. I suppose the oxygen is being absorbed into the skin and rejuvenating the tissue. I'm going to keep experimenting with this and see how far I can turn back the clock. It's not even that expensive. I bought a 1 oz jar online for only $5.99 and it usually lasts our family of four about three months. Great stuff!
Where do you purchase ozonated oil? Any certain brand? My local health stores do not carry this product. Thank you!

Pure Shea Butter
I have been using pure shea butter on my hands and cracked feet since the weather turned cool. I also apply it around my nose to help cracked, peeling skin from contact dermatitis. It is one of the few moisturizers that doesn't aggravate the condition! Well, recently I ran out of my expensive Q10 face cream and decided, it being winter and my skin being dry, that I would use the shea butter on the rest of my face. So I took about a dime size from the container and rubbed it in my palms, (it is solid and needs to be "melted") and then massaged it into my skin. The next day I noticed that my pores were visibly smaller! I have continued to do this each night to see what happens.. I wake up in the morning with my face glowing and it is not my imagination, my pores are smaller. I really massage the butter into my skin with small circular movements -- my face gets a little red from the increase of circulation from the massage. I am not sure I can keep using shea butter in hot summer months (too oily) but certainly during cool weather! My bottle of shea butter cost about $4.00. I will let you know if my forehead creases disappear. So far, the lines around my eyes are less noticeable, but no such luck on the forehead!
Raw Cabbage Salad
Raw Cabbage salad has cured my dry, flaky skin and fatigue : ). I started having raw cabbage salad every morning after exercise for the last few weeks and I wasn't feeling tired the whole day and to top that my skin started glowing & feeling smooth .... !! I sure do love cabbage and now its like a ritual for me to have a bowl of raw cabbage salad every morn
Raw Cocoa Butter
Hi I recently started putting cocoa butter on my skin and lips, and it seems to plump up the skin like anti aging products do. The lip are a great benefit. I use cocnut oil too, it it sinks into the skin fast and may be more suitable for normal to oily skin. My skin is dry and so the richness of the cocoa butter is suitable for my older skin.
Ps I have used a lot of face products over the years, including some expensive ones. The natural ones do not always perform as well in terms of anti aging, lifting benefits, so I'm pretty pleased with cocoa butter.
pps I just made a delicious fudge sauced with cocoa butter, cocoa nibs, coconut cream and a little honey. Decadent, but quite healthy!
I was looking for others' experience. I wonder if it affects the lips so well? Also, I wonder if mixing it eith any other oils will get an even better result? I can't believe it is so inexpensive and works s well. Bravo nature! Kate, Brisbane
Raw Cocoa Butter
PLEASE if you read this run and try to find 100% pure unrefined cocoa butter. IM writing from experience.I have tried many of the remedies and beauty advices in this website like ACV and hdrogen peroxide on my face.Ive tried most oils you can like jojoba, sesame olive oil.ive used aloe vera, soy milk,..Ive used snail cream and other chemical regular cheap and expensive brands that I cant list here.
The truth is I die for cosmetics specially natural and Im always in the look for the next new thing. While browsing I found out an article talking about recent studies stating cocoa had 5 times more antioxidant than green tea pomegranade etc. I remember cocoa had always been in my grandma bathroom as a body mostourizer, but it was the procesed product with everything on it alcohol fragance etc.
So I went to the afro store and bougt the most famous brand whose name starts with"P". It claims to have cocoa and E vitamin.I started to use it on my face,I saw improvement but I flt the chemicals on it althou I could feel cocoa was definately good.It was clearing my face and very mosturizing. So i went on looking for the pure 100% cocoa butter with absolutely nothing but cocoa butter.I found a store that sells just basic stuff no brand, you ask for the weight you want and they give you a white bottle with raw cocoa butter. It was solid and smell sostrong and sweet. More than any chocolate Ive ever had.
Well I washed my face with warm water. I did put a bit of it in th microwave and it became oil.I did put it in my face and.....o man.
Im 28,Im a man but I wore make up before cause I worked in modeling.I gotta tell you after few hours I looked just exactly as if I had make up on.REALLY
My skin tone is even and light,I can only see my eyebrows my eyes and my mouth. The rest of my face is even.Ive never felt this mostourized, and Ive tried every oil you can imagine. It absorbs quickly. I smile and watever and theres no tighness.Theres absolutely n problem with eye contact I did put it all over. Needless to say it also leaves your lips in perfect condition.
I gotta say Ive tried many mny things, lookig for ayounger teenage appreance, and I ahvent seen anything work this fast, this good.
Also dont worry if you are prone to acne, I just dont feel any bump or irritation. My skin is the most sensitive you can find that I dont use any alcohol based products. Its gentle, smells like heaven, and I think you wont need daily make up with this. Nive glow and shine. You can always wipe it a bit onceabsorbed if you dont like the shiny look.I do.I just cant imagine what this can do to your skin ona daily regimen. And the smell oh so good.
lease reply and lt me know how it works for you.
ATTENTION: Dont buy just any product stating cocoa butter. It will have other oils aditives aromas and alcohol that may irritate your skin or agravate acne. Find the raw cocoa butter,it will take you some time but its worth it. You dont need any extra oil vitamin added cocoa alone will rejuvenate your face trust me

I just had to respond to this! Okay, after reading your testimony about raw cacao butter, I went to the health food store and bought some raw organic cacao butter which was very reasonably priced I might add. I too, use many natural oils on my face because my skin is very sensitive and can easily react to any chemicals or additives in face products. I use grapeseed oil, coconut oil, sea buckthorn oil, etc. and a wonderful olive oil cleanser which I get from a Japanese co. Anyway, we are very aware of the benefits of raw cacao but I, for whatever reason, never used the butter on my face.
You are right! It's fantastic. I have a dark complexion and am in my early 50's so I need to treat my skin with care. The second day I used it, the women I teach all commented on my face glowing! It is gentle, smells fabulous and my skin drinks it up but it doesn't stay oily at all. I just put a piece in my palms to warm it and then apply it to my face.
One of the women had a bad experience with a face product that burned her skin over the weekend which she was distressed about- rightly so. I happened to have the butter in my goodies bag and brought it out to her. She applied it and it began to calm down the burn.
Thank you Carlos! Love it! Lisa
EC: Hi Lisa, what's the name of the raw cocoa butter you bought? Did you find it at Whole Foods? Thanks!
(Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa)
Okay, the raw organic cacao butter is from a great company called Ultimate superfoods which is a very reasonably priced co. They have very high quality products and are spoken of highly in the raw community. I found mine at a great health food store/restaurant in the San Fernando Valley, CA. Our Whole Foods carries some of Ultimate's products but I'm not sure if it's because they are a very local co. I also know it can be ordered online. The bag I found was in the raw food section and is a 2 oz. bag. Go into the food section, not the beauty products section. Items tend to be less expensive there.
EC: Thank you so much, Lisa! I searched the beauty and peanut butter/almond butter aisles at Whole Foods today and couldn't find it. I had the feeling I was in the wrong section!
Raw Food Diet
Raw Food Diet- I've been eating raw food for 2 meals a day- lots of oranges, apples, carrots, avocados, TOMATOES, cucumbers (to be exact) and my skin has been so nice!
I usually dab diluted 1:1 apple cider vinegar and water onto my face with a cotton ball and then moisturize with lotion or coconut oil. BUT with the raw food diet, my skin has been exceptionally soft. I cannot stop touching my face throughout the day!
Rice, Egg Whites
There are two different treatments you can use to get beautiful glowing skin.
1.Use organic rice to clear your skin problems. All you do is add water to a cup of organic rice, let it soak for about 5-10 mins. Then use paper towel or a sponge of some sort to put it on your face. People who work with rice have very soft hands.
2. Egg whites. Use organic eggs, no pesticides are in them. Drain whites into a bowl, whip them till foamy. Then put on your face. Leave it on till it dries like a mask. Then wash it off. Leave on for about 5 mins (until crusty)
Other things you can do is take ACV, vitamin e and primerose oil. Good luck
Rose Water, Colloidal Silver
I have never had such clear skin as when I lived in India ... I would buy a large bottle of pure Rose Water ... I would wash with that only. Clearest skin ever. Supermarkets do sell pure Rose Water (no glycerin) here in the spices aisles usually ... much cheaper than health food stores. Test different kinds as brands seem to have different strengths. Pour rose water in your hand and splash on face.
Also Super Silver (colloidal) is incredible for healing your face (inside and out) or any other part of you.
Hi! Hope someone reads this under the appropriate section. There is a skin cream newly developed by the same Aussie company Oralmat that makes the asthma & allergy drops, out since the late 1990's. Yet once again, it's almost completely unknown. It is not prescription, and looks like it's selling on a UK site, for example, for about L 8. 5 (about $12-$15) for a 50 g tube. There is also a 25g size tube. Since it's a very specific commercial lab extraction and blend of a very common plant (ryegrass), and not a homemade recipe, I can't give the links.
Comment: I'm not sure I've ever seen any post here from anyone in Australia? That could be why this company's products are unknown still.
Dear EarthClinic, I feel so proud to be the first sharing this wonderful remedy.
The story on how I discovered this remedy started last month. While at the chinese store I saw a product called bird's nest. I came home researched and its a wrinkle remedy used in Asia. Its suposed to reduce wrinkles and give porcelain skin. The science behind this I read it was birds make nest with their saliva that is collagen rich. Ok so I tried it and it worked. I was going to post that remedy here one of these days.
But yesterday I came across a message board where its said its an old grandmother tip to apply your own saliva in the mornings before eating anything. It said a 70 year old woman could look 50. I did research, very little info could be found in english but this seems to be a spanish/latin beauty tip. There were some testimonials in spanish websites. There is also a study conducted independently about Saliva in history, testimonials etc. Few things that I read that lead me to try it were:
1. Lesions in your mouth heal faster than any other part of your body
2.Dogs apply saliva soon as they are hit by a car
3. Cats keep their hair lustrous just by applying saliva
4. Jesus healed a blind man with saliva
I have tried urine therapy so I thought... what do I have to lose? I'm a natural remedy freak and I love the conecpt of "your own medicine" the human body is the perfect machine.
Ok so I cleaned my face, I rinsed my mouth with water til I felt it was cleaned. If you don't rinse your mouth before it will smell bad when it dries. BUT don't use toothpaste or any other cleaner or food. Use this only mornings since the rest of the day saliva becomes acidic due to digestion etc.
RESULTS: Inmediate relax, skin lightening. Dramatic wrinkle diminish. Soft smooth skin. NO oilness, no stinking, not heavy feel. Not dry skin. Just plain and beautiful porcelain skin.
I also felt a mood uplifting, not sure if it was the results that lead to it or the saliva itself. But I could feel a relaxing positive mood like a pineal gland boost (if you are into meditaiton you know what I mean)
I don't think I'm going to use it much cause I already have light skin. It's wonderful for around the eye area, lightens up your eyes.
Be prepare to have a politically correct excuse for your look cause results are dramatic and surely people will stare at you.
This kind of information have been put to secret by the cosmetic industry. I'm sure they don't allow any book to be published with these kind of info. All this traditional remedies would make the cosmetic industry dissapear for good.
If you are using lemon or any other aggressive lightening method, give this a try.
Good thing is it's not as embarrassing as urine therapy and results are remarkable. I can't say better, just different but tis more convenient and if you are looking for light skin this is your best bet.
I agree with Carol every thing she say is true. Yes Saliva does heal cuts I learn that from my mum, I remember putting holes in my ears and she told me to put my saliva on it when I wake up in the morning before I wash out my mouth, and I did and it did heal fast and when ever I have a cut I always use my saliva. Now I am going to try it on my wrinkles. And I will keep you posted and tell you the results.. Urine it is also true, if I tell you that you can also drink it to heal your body from sickness you will say yuk, but it is true, he who experience it know it.
