Hello! I couldn't help but notice the testimony on here pertaining to internal mold removal and which products to use.

To make a long story short, I had to leave an apartment due to horrendous water damage and mold. I was a tenant for six years! The last week there was fairly hellish. I awoke early to feel something heavy and inflamed on my tongue. Lo and behold, it was my right tonsil.

At the emergency room, I was diagnosed with viral pharyngitis. It took quite a few days for the steady decrease in size but it hasn't returned to its normal size. My anxiety was through the roof (in a way that I haven't experienced) and then my digestive track went crazy. Its true that the stress was high but I hadn't dealt with these issues ever!

After practicing yoga daily (which quenched a great deal of anxiety) and preparing various herbal teas, I was still at my wits end. A gentleman on this forum admitted to many of my issues and suggested Oil of Oregano. My family is very much into natural healing and upon hearing testimony from my grandmother, we purchased a bottle. The initial dose was very fast acting. My throat opened up and I could swallow normally. The nasal passages opened like flood gates. I felt like I had a head transplant. Don't give up or fret for those of you on the brink.

Oil of Oregano has many medicinal uses. (Please be advised not to use it if you are allergic to the mint family).

Hello Dr. bl,

Re the mold issue and your use of CS. I use it too and in addition to your irrigation (mouth/eyes and ears), I also use a steamer inhaler to get the CS into lungs and from lungs a more direct root to heart and bloodstream. Also I use the CS with DMSO and apply equal parts as a poultice for 15 minutes applying to various parts of body...chest, sides, legs and especially to back of neck so it will get to brain. The above applications is what I use for a body wide infestation.

Re: Juicing and Mold Detox: Use green juices. If you need to sweeten them use carrots because beta carotene strengthens your immune system. The key is OXYGEN!!! OXYGEN!!! OXYGEN!!! Juices have oxygen and enzymes needed to boost your immune system. You will also cancer proof your body. RAW SALADS will help alot along with a 90% raw organic food diet with plenty of juices. Dead enzymeless food feeds all disease and mold. Go easy on fruit also. BARLEYGRASS JUICE POWDER is nothing short of amazing with thousands of enzymes and OXYGEN going to work on molds and fungi. RAW FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to respiratory problems, I was allergy tested and came out positive for Aspergillus and Penicillium molds. In order to get a handle on the problem I had to address both the house and my physical health.

The first step was to stop the spores in the interior of the house. To do this we (and the pets) left the house while we ran an ozone generator on high for three days, and then aired it out well.

We then brought in a mold sniffing dog to detect where the mold was coming from, as there was no visual appearance of mold. The dog alerted to three locations in the house which were remediated by professionals. We also installed a PureAir purification system, and periodically run the ozone when we're not in the house.

To address my health, I started taking probiotics, MSM, DMG, Ester C, and Vitamin D during the day, and periodically activated charcoal just before bed. I also started drinking A LOT more water... Up to 3 quarts a day. In addition, I have done a total of 12 sessions in the Life Vessel.

All of this has been expensive, but I am MUCH improved and feel healthy again! I am now exploring mold allergy desensitization.

Hi everybody willing to read further. I had black mold where I stay which I tried to rid with spraying h2o2 on it, it just made a white foam but did not get rid of the mold, then I remembered Jim Humble claiming that sodium chlorite can kill any harmful organisms. What I did was sprinkle sodium chlorite then with a damp scotchbrite scrubbed it & so far so good & has not come back & I am so pleased.

I realize some time has gone by TN222222, I have become a bit of a mold expert out of nessesity and bleach does not kill mold. mold and bleach both have a positive charge, you need something with a negative charge to deal with mold. Bleach kills bacteria and bleaches mold but does not kill mold. "Clear Amonnia" (it says clear on the label) is what you want. It has a negative charge and will kill mold. This was taought to me by a pathologist Dr William Croft. 2 cups in full load laundry should take care of clothes or anything that will fit in the washer. in a spray bottle 50% water 50%amonnia to spray smaller arias, please note you still have to remove all contaminated materials, once the area is gutted and cleaned than spray again. Of course I am not reccomending anyone clean mold themselves but small areas, issues with mold throughout the rest your life this can come in handy. I periodically wash my clothes with amonnia to freshen. Just dont breathe it in:)

Lauriciden, Olive leaf extract, Colloidal silver, oregano oil are some of the best antifungals and probiotics.

You may want to take natural cures because steroids aren't the only thing to take. The 3% ammonia should work in a bath, as well as in washing clothes. I have found that tinctures such as Jojoba, Oregano Oil, Olive Leaf, Argon Oil, Grapefruit Seed, Kalmegh, Coconut oil all help. You can add these to tomato juice. Wipe down all surfaces with Colloidal Silver solution (Fungicide/viruside/anti-bacterial). Get an air cleaner with very good filters down to .003 microns. Get full testing and Infrared Thermography to check hot spots for mold and mycotixins. After remediation, get clothes cleaned environmentally with OZONE. Take lots of vitamins and little sugar. These things should help.

I have learned that the Choleystramine is a scam. It is the only thing that the conventional MDs know. It is NOT the answer. Ozone for environment, and holistic/homeopathic mold detox for the body is recommended.

Regarding FRESH JUICES, I am referring to blending FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, those will feed the body the NUTRITION that the MOLD HAS ROBBED US OF... Yes, CANDIDA, mold is a fungus, but you need MINERALS and you have to get it from fresh fruits and vegetables.

Also, you have to COLON CLEANSE and you have to TAKE A DIGESTIVE AID (the undigested proteins cause MCS). The digestive aid should be taken PRIOR to each meal. Try to find an ALL PLANT BASED digestive aid. The digestive aid will digest the mold and parasites that are feeding on the mold in the body... You may have to double your dosage of the digestive aid, I take two prior to each meal. My meals, again, consist of lots of plant based fruits and vegetables, especially GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES because they are full of calcium. Lots of fatty protein based broths, soups and stews. Lots of bacon and egggs, hormone free because the HORMONES WILL FEED THE FUNGUS, and lots of coconut oil and olive oil because they are both ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIFUNGAL and they help to rebuild the body...

Good luck, we CAN HEAL, I'm much much better than I was... Trust me when I tell you that I was dying.

Posted by Faith (Forest Park, Ohio) on 01/31/2012

Baths, detox with epsom salts, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide then alternate the baking soda with the acv. You also have to COLON CLEANSE the mold gets in the colon, do psyllium and bsm, one T. Psyllium and 1 tsp. Bsm. Do it regularly and sometimes substitue activated charcoal for the bsm. Also do GOOD BACTERIA, LOTS AND LOTS, bananas, homemade yogurt, homemade kefir, homemade kombucha, these helped me turn the corner... And prebiotics like oat bran, rice bran, HIGH FIBERS... AND LOTS OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF SEAWEED in your diet daily... It took a year before I was feeling well.... but all this is key to move the mold out of the body...

Hi Shatsi, If all else fails try IV vit c & if that is too expensive try liposomal vit c which is much cheaper & you can make it at home, on the net you can get info on how to make it. What I also do know is that vit c about the only thing that can kill mold in your body, but it is a problem to take high doses of vit c as it causes an upset stomach but with IV vit c you can tolerate doses of 100- 200 gr & with liposomal vit c 5 gr is equivalent to 50 gr of IV vit c. So try it you have nothing to lose.

i am still in my house. I just found and came to the realization that my rashes/bumps that won't heal, my cockatoos feather loss, and my dogs itching and breathing problems are due to mold. First step in confirming was I covered my ceiling vents with filters and in 2 nights I started healing on my face! My next step was get a mold test so I bought the 5 min kit and got a positive result. Now I need mold clean up and a new or clean evaporator coil. I am running a window unit and a portable unit at the moment and not running my central air until I get someone in to clean it up! Next step DETOX! Not just for me but my precious animals! I have 2 parrots 3 dogs and a cat. There is no way I could have found temp shelter for them and myself going through this because they need care and I am their person …… the one! I started cleaning my and the animals skin with sulfur soap and using essential oils (frankincense has anti fungal properties) also giving us all activated charcoal. I stopped the circulation of the mold and started cleaning the environment for some immediate relief. In some cases homeowners insurance will cover it minus the deductible. In my case I believe they will because the summer before last my AC unit was struck by lightning and covered on home owners insurance and because it was off for 2-3 weeks the coil had opportunity to grow mold as a result. So they are directly related, cause and affect. Let's hope my insurance people see it the same way as the AC guy! This has unknowingly been ongoing since then and my symptoms fall in line with this time frame. Hope my story so far helps and I will keep you posted.

Regardless whether it was a hair test or other that determined you have too much heavy metals, here is an interesting tie-in to niacinamide you can start immediately to help with that part of your problems.

It's from the post on Alzheimers just sent in today.

You can buy a big bottle of niacinamide form of B3 (not niacin! ) for about $5 anywhere.

Article is from late 2009, high dose niacinamide in lab mice bred for brain amyloid plaques:

The tubules are like highways inside cells. Dr. Green said that niacinamide is "making a wider more stable highway. " Alzheimer's disease breaks down the highway (tubules). But niacinamide prevents this from happening.

I've previously told you how the toxic metal mercury also destroys these microtubules, potentially causing Alzheimer's disease. So anything that can prevent the damage or reverse it is a huge discovery.

You could also directly bind loose mercury, easily the worst offender of all heavy metals in the body, into the completely inert HgSe which will be excreted using a good selenium supplement, meaning preferably the organic form found right in plants and nuts, selenomethionine:

Selenium is a potent chelator of mercury (it binds to it and removes it from the body). Mercury exposure can therefore lead to a selenium deficiency.

Selenium at 250 mcg per day should be used in any mercury chelation program. Selenium has an unusually high "binding affinity" for mercury, making it a vital part of the support protocol when detoxifying mercury from the body.

I am suffering from Toxic Mold Exposure and am severely ill. However, I have done a lot of research and contacted a lot of people over the last year and this is what I have found.

There is a toxicologist by the name of Dr. Thrasher. You can find them on the net for mold.

Also, for the the Ammonia, it works for some and not others. Remember it is a harsh chemical that will be soaked up by the skin, and if you have MCS it's just adds to your bodies toxic load. (you can use the non scented kind from the grocery store). Once a day for no more than 5 days. It's a hard thing to weigh. I personally won't do it.

As for losing hair, fungus on skin, etc. This can also be indicative of mold/fungus in the body. Detox may be required.

The most renouned mold doctors today are: Dr. Lisa Nagy, Janette Hope, Shoemaker, William Rae. They are the best in the field and have excellent protocals for detoxing the body.

There are specific Genetic defects that can cause a person to react so badly to mold, one of which is a gene MTHF genetic defect which does not allow the body to detox Environmental Toxins. Which can lead to mold poisoning susceptibility and MCS and other illnesses because you reach a "Toxic Load". Genetic testing can be done by Mold doctors to find out what genetic defects (if any) you are dealing with and how to work around them.

Do not remediate mold on your own, it will make you sick! It happened to me! Also, dont hire a cheap remediator, hire someone like This. Most local and cheap remeditors are horrible and dangerous. Go to FaceBook mold support forums and ask who is best.

Just thought I'd try to help.

Ozone Treatment

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN,,,,,,,,,,, learned today that black mold has consumed me in the last 3 months. The DNA test my integrative doctor does measures Vital Force ( VF) and this has gone from 8 to 48 in short order. He wants to address it with Homeopathic methods. I will be dead in short order.... so I have written Dr Robert Rowen to come to my rescue using Ozone as I have all the tools.

I first went on EC and read some great posts, but at 80 I can't have a hit or miss. Since we live on a lake, it may be mold in our log cabin, but we had the HVAC system addressed two years ago and sprayed down the cabin with Grape Fruit Seed Extract which we bought from Tennessee Mold to address this problem, if it existed. Our doctor took my Tractor Driver's DNA and if she has this problem then it's environmental, otherwise, I'm getting it from some other source.

Lordy, all know I's a great story teller, but I don't need this material.

I use a mix of borax, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in a sprayer to treat black mold. All three are mold killers and this mix has no order and is easy to work with. I have used this mix to treat moldy wood. Bleach will only kill mold on the surface of the wood and it is difficult and harmful to breathe the chlorine fumes. The combination of HP, BS and Borax is easy to make, readily available and very effective.

Don't forget about the importance of Iodine. Have you done the Borax cure for likely Mycoplasma in your joints & bones, what with all the pain and inability and all. Oregano Oil Softgels are quite potent, as is Black Cumin Seed, as well as Turpentine. Plus your Ozone and Rowens prescription and you should whip this one good over the winter and come out in the spring ready for the early garden.

I live in South East Asia. It rains almost everyday. The walls of my house are always damp. Sometimes, our wardrobes would be covered with molds too. I would just wipe them away with dry cloth. But thank God none of us suffered from mold or fungal infections. I attribute this to our diet. I use onions, garlics, chillies, tumeric powder, tamarind juice and all other spices if necessary. I think these are the reasons why we are still healthy till today. Tumeric or tumeric powder is always used on skin rashes. Eucalyptus oil is also good on rashes and burns too, cos of its cooling and soothing effects on the skin which is immediate.

Robert's Fungus Saga - Vicks Update

Part One: Feet

Q. Do the ingredients (camphor, eucalyptus, thymol, menthol) work?

A. I've applied the solution on my nails as well as to my entire foot to get rid of all the fungus that might eventually cause a reoccurrence. The results were obvious after 4-5 days: first, the athlete's foot symptoms between my toes rapidly got better and were healed in about a week. Then, at the seven-day point lots of skin started sloughing off all over my feet where the fungus was obviously in hiding -- including the heal callus. I was surprised to see so much sloughing of the skin around the base, sides and top of the toe nails -- this area apparently had been deeply affected by the fungus, but just looked like tough skin that I had become accustomed to expect. Within 2-3 weeks the unaffected new toe nails could be seen at the cuticle. Now, several months later, there is a clear line of demarcation between the old fungal nail, and the new clear nail. I expect that it will be 3-4 more months before all the old nail has grown out and gone.

Q. Is the formulation the right one?

A. After much research and playing kitchen chemist, I learned that coconut oil is a good anti-fungal as well as a great emollient. DMSO doesn't need to be at 25% concentration. 10-15% is sufficient. Oregano Oil is composed of Thymol and University of Western Australia research proved tea tree oil's anti-fungal capability, so I added it as well. The essential oil amounts are at least or a little more than what bio-chemists call the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). The formulation I like and use now is:

Revised Formula
1 part Menthol oil
1 part Thymol oil or Oregano oil
1 part Camphor oil
1 part Lemon Eucalyptus oil
2 parts Tea Tree Oil
2 parts DMSO
12 parts Virgin Coconut Oil

There is probably a synergistic (i.e. harmonious working together) effect of anti-fungal herbs, which has been demonstrated in several studies. In one test of ten plant species whose oils were anti-fungal, researchers noted that "combinations of the anti-fungal essential oils increased their activity remarkably." In a similar study, researchers stated that "in all the oil combinations, the anti-fungal potency was found to increase over individual oils."

Part Two: Adult "Acne"

This is where the "saga" starts to get interesting. After my adolescent acne should have cleared up 35 years ago, it got slowly worse. All over the bearded part of my face, what appeared to be sacs of hardened oil under the surface of the skin had been forming nodules. These didn't get infected,' each just grew larger. Over the years I've seen dermatologists who said, because of my otherwise great health, "you're just a middle aged adolescent," blaming it on high testosterone, etc. The apparent acne problem continued and worsened.

I've seen doctors, dermatologists, pharmacists, herbalists, laser specialists, and spiritual healers. I've bought every acne ointment known to man. I took pills, vitamins, and herbs. I changed diet. I get plenty of exercise. Nothing worked. I had extensive surgery to correct the problem three years ago, and within 18 months it looked just as bad as before. As a public speaker and author in my profession, the skin condition was emotionally upsetting and stressful.
Having conquered toe nails, I started researching down the path that maybe the acne was caused by a fungus (although the symptoms didn't look like my feet). Was I surprised when I found:

" Tinea barbae is a superficial dermatophyte infection that is limited to the bearded areas of the face and neck and occurs almost exclusively in older adolescent and adult males. Symptoms include inflammatory, deep, kerion-like plaques and noninflammatory superficial patches and lumps resembling bacterial folliculitis. The hair breaks off below the skin surface. It is caused by several dermatophytes. Trichophyton species are most common. Infection of bearded skin may be the result of autoinoculation from tinea pedis or onychomycosis."

In other words, the mess on my face that had caused me so much grief and been misdiagnosed for decades was caused by the same fungus that gave my feet a problem. Apparently the dermatophytes enter the hair follicle (nails and hair are similar biological structures), then attack the sebaceous gland, feeding off the body oil; then the body's immune system reacts with scaring and hardening the facial oil, leaving an oil nodule. The dermatophytes then migrate to the next follicle, and eventually dozens of affected follicles link as a nodule the size of a pea.

Now it became obvious what had happened: The athlete's foot I got as a teenager went to my toe nails, and, because I was ignorant of the relationship of using a towel on my face that might have been used on my feet or crotch, the fungus got transferred.

Not a single dermatologist who examined my face ever bothered to ask the question: "Do you have toe nail fungus or athlete's foot!"

Using the same solution on my facial outbreaks as on my toe nails (the revised formula with coconut oil), the facial condition is clearing up. Just like with my feet, skin is sloughing off and the nodules are beginning to eject. This is the best result I've seen in years. I expect it will take a few months for the problem to be cured, as the fungus is down below the level of the base of the hair follicle in the sebaceous gland.

Part Three: Chronic Sinusitis

For the last 15 years I've had chronic sinusitis, post nasal drip, clogged nose, etc. I was constantly clearing my throat, and sometimes coughing. I snored a lot, which my wife didn't appreciate, and the snoring actually would wake me up in the middle of the night, leaving me tired in the morning. I seemed to catch colds more easily than before, but I attributed this to my very frequent plane travel.

Doctors prescribed antibiotics, but I they did not fully cure the problem and when I stopped the treatment, every symptom returned. (And I just don't like unnatural treatments.) Others said it was allergies.

I wondered: Could my sinusitis be a fungal problem? More exploring on the internet found the answer:

In 1999 Mayo Clinic researchers found the cause of most chronic sinus infections to be an immune system response to fungus, and that this may kick off a secondary bacteriological infection. It is not an allergic reaction, but an immune reaction.
Again, I felt betrayed by the medical profession. Why hadn't anyone told me this?

I went to the health and vitamin store to look for an anti-fungal nasal spray, and nothing met my requirements or budget ($10-15 for a one ounce bottle of ingredients seemed way out of line.) Here's the formula I "invented:"

1. Rinse out a 1 ounce nasal spray bottle
2. Add one eye-dropper (approximately 1 ML) of Oregano Juice (NOT Oregano Oil -it's too strong and will not dissolve in water)
3. Add a pinch of salt (approximately ½ ML) (Iodized salt is OK - iodine is a good anti-fungal)
4. Fill the rest of the sprayer with distilled water, and shake well until the salt is dissolved.

Spray as frequently as once an hour until symptoms subside. For me, this solution began working within an hour; most symptoms were gone in three days. And the price of the ingredients per bottle is just a few pennies.

If the oregano/saline solution is too strong for you, dilute in half with water. If you want, you can add a drop of eucalyptus oil with ½ ML of glycerin, (which will bond the oil to water). I now spray once or twice a day, just to prevent any recurrence.

A very dear friend, who is 75, has had awful sinusitis for years. He heavily cleared his throat every minute or two. I told him of this simple formula, and two days later he called me to say it was working. He then said with amazement: "I don't believe it, we've been talking for over 15 minutes and I haven't had to clear my throat once!"

There are articles and books that claim that some cancers are caused by fungus. If this is true, taking action on fungus early may be very beneficial in the long run. It's time we gave fungus a deeper analysis.

Lugol's Iodine

Dear Bill from the Phillipines,

I pray that you are able to answer my question. Before posting, I researched this website at length. I have read everything I can find from you on these topics. I highly respect your knowledge and dedication to your own health and the health of others.

I began the Lugol's protocol a little over a year ago. I was suffering with symptoms of Hypothyroidism. I was on an anti-depressant which I stopped shortly after beginning the protocol. I also have included Borax, alkalizing, and ACV, daily.

In the past year, I realized I was exposed to mold at my workplace. I worked there 8 years. I kept reporting sightings and none were addressed and at the time I had no idea I was suffering because of it. I was able to diagnose myself from reading the symptoms you wrote about. I am currently not working due to a back injury that happened while at work. (a blessing in disguise?) I am not taking any prescriptions.

My question is, although, I have seen dramatic results and I am not completely cured, should I up my dose of Lugol's? Occasionally, I will add a few more drops of 2 percent. I include other supplements and remedies I see in your posts and other's, also. I use turpentine, oregano essential oil, cilantro, and thyme essential oil, occasionally..other than the turpentine, I am not aware of how much and how long I should use these remedies. I just ordered chanca piedra and a probiotic and I am waiting for them to come in. I wanted to give myself a year on the Lugol's before I posted this question. If I ever miss my dose, my neck will throb. So, I know my thyroid isn't completely healed.

I have reported my successes here on EC, so far. But, I am still not completely healthy. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

God bless you and keep you!

Karen, it took me 2 years to get diagnosed.

When I first got mold illness there were other symptoms: Light (Photophobia), sound and movement sensitivity, blurred vision, dry heaves, brain fog, forgetfulness, breathing issues, wheezing, dizziness, heart issues, rash, fatigue and I was forgetting things. This level of illness lowers immune system, so small dental infection your body was keeping in check may now take over, that is why some o chronic illness specialist recommend biological dentist for cavitations surgery these infections drip virulent strains of toxins into the body. Complicated and costly. Many people will not get root canals in fear of setting up this scenario.

I did the two months and niacin detox and sometimes I did it twice a day.

Mold treatment took over a year . Still wheezing issue my doctor did a nasal smear MaRCONS. Got on BEGS spray most all of my symptoms are gone I had to do two rounds of BEGS to kill this infection. See mold specialist and get deep nasal smear, and the urine mycotoxin test.

A book that is imperative to read, Mold and Mycotoxin Current Evaluation and Treatment 2016. It is easy to read and understand it tells you how to get well

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is definately a cheap remedy for some tough illnesses. Got Black Mold in my lungs from living in an apartment with unforseen mold under the carpet. Hot water heater blew in the 2nd month and the maintenance man (sent over by the slum lord) sucked the majority of the water out but installed 2 blowers under the carpet to dry it out. When I saw the mold I told him straight up, "That's going to blow Black Mold into the air and we could end up getting mold spores from breathing it" I'm sure he blew me off like he does all the other apartments he maintains because his lips weren't moving but he said to himself, "ugh, .... Another hypocondriac."

3 months later, I was extremely ill. Hadn't even considered black mold yet, due to on going esophogus problems for 15 years. The doctors said the only way to tell is to do the endoscopy at $750. I paid for the intial visit, was able to get on a $25. Month payment plan and when the time came to go at 6am, the receptionist wouldn't adhere to my agrreement due to the fact that the business department didn't come in until 9. I panic'd due to the fact that I felt a 2nd round of pneumonia approaching, and my lungs were only taking in maybe 20% of it's capacity. I did my research and found that the only way to survive a combo like this ( I have a fantastic nurse practioner that actually listens, and admits, she learns too) was to prepare myself. The first on-slaught of the pneumonia had to be covered by a single pill that costs $100. (something new?) I was sceptical. I don't trust pharmaceuticals. So, she gave me a $75. Discount coupon and I took it just in time, I guess, cuz I lived but still had the mold. It was growing and I was breathing less. My son-in-law was surfing the net for a cure for me. (Now that's a loving son-in-law), but, maybe he just wanted me out of his house!! Hahha He found a video of an old man showing the benefits of putting hydrogen peroxide in a nose sprayer and inhaling it 6 times down the hatch, at 6 times a day. We set my funderal plans aside (kids!!! ) and I recovered. That sweet son-in--law even helped me carry my bags to the car. That was 2 years ago. Still dealing with espophogus problems. My nurse practitioner treats me with respect and nearly reverence. I've been able to heal deadly diseases in my life, mine and others. Extraordinary. Hydrogen peroxide yes, .. for lots of illnesses.

Few more things I've learned working with specialized doctor regarding mold poisoning - Taking Cholesyramine carries mold/mycotoxins out of the body. The broken cell wall chlorella does the same thing; take it an hour away from food. Avoid taking it at night, might keep you awake I read the broken cell chlorella maybe very be superior to cholesyramine. Also for sinus issues, consider distilled water mixed with 1/2 tsp xylitol mixed with few drops SSKI and 2 to 3 drops liquid dmso in a neti pot; it breaks the biofilm down and attacks the infection.

I'm glad the information helped

The doctor that treated me was a MD/ND and a Chinese medicine doctor, sadly closed his practice this year .

A couple other things my doctor recommended Vital nutrients BCQ (iwhich is boswellia serrata, bromelain, Curcum longa, Quercetin) and Cal-Mag Butyrate this I believe is a remove neurotoxins, and a gentle powerful binding clay Springgreen77

A couple of others I took peach extract, and drank pine needle tea and lots of cliantro and celery juice

I would like to suggest to anyone suffering with black mold spore/mycotoxins poisoning Look on Dr Shoemakers website and there is a list of medical and naturopathic doctors that have trained with Dr. Shoemaker and and are trained in treat this illness . I know that mold illness has pretty severe symptoms, just know it takes time to get all the pathways that have been disrupted by mycotoxins in the body back on track. It took me one year for all of the dizziness to disappear. There are IV's available to help detox as well.

Precious Robyn: So sad you are dealing with so much! (Cyber hugs to you! ) And, sorry I am coming to this conversation so late!

Yes, stay away from apple cider vinegar, even the very best brand, as it is fermented! For me, after my very recent mold exposure, ACV was one of the things I was using to treat the symptoms (I broke out in a horrible case of hives---excruciating! ), totally unaware I was only feeding the problem!

I also can not eat naturally fermented sauerkraut, for the time being. That is really killing me, because I love the stuff! (And it was one of the things I purchased to help with the hives! ) Also, have to stay away from beer & wine, for the same reason.

I have done several things, including biofeedback (L.I.F.E. System), Bio-Electric resonance therapy & chiropractic. These 3, I feel, have been key for me. I feel the bio-electric resonance has done wonders for the mold issue. Another therapy, which I do not have access to currently, is RIFE treatments. Any of the better frequency-based treatments should prove beneficial, IMHO.

The bio-feedback session pinpointed some of the major contributing factors in my health crisis, including the fact that vinegar was excaberating the problem. (I can use distilled white vinegar with no problem. Use it in laundry & for household cleaning with no side-effects.)

Also, far-infrared will help. I used a friend's Bio-Mat and I feel that helped me as well.

I hope you can continue to explore ways to settle your body down, but I dare say that it is a daily challenge, since you have no place that is really 'home'. I am so hurt for you.....Hang tough.....Some of the best ways to heal our bodies do not cost all that much......And prayer does help, too......

I wanted to thank you for your post! I was looking through my plethora of items I have in my home. I realized that my enzyme contact solution has that ingredient. I squirted it on my window sill and various little spots in my bathroom that were moldy. It foamed up right away. My home is not infested, but I knew even a small amount in an non-ventilated bathroom could grow and cause a problem. I assumed if it is safe for my eyes, it must be safe enough to clean with!

Hi, I personally would not recommend taking Ammonia baths, particularly if you have Lyme. Ammonia is a neurotoxin left behind after killing Lyme along with Quinolinic Acid. I am very sensitive to Ammonia and when I get near an Ammonia bottle, I have head tremors. Most of us with Mycotoxin illness have faulty methylation due to mutations in our genes. Many of us already have too much Ammonia in our bodies because we have a faulty Ammonia and Sulphur detox ability. I would only use it to clean up mold on window sills or around the house, but remember our skin is one of the biggest organs and absorbs what we put on it.

Once you're exposed to black mold and your body has a reaction to mold/mycotoxins then it is best to avoid it forever! I have read about taking a bath in like a 1/4 cup of ammonia I would wear protection Eye goggles if I was to do that, but I think it is too risky to me. The best thing to do to save your health is move out. It is suggested strongly to avoid re-exposure since the may cause permanent problems. My doctor suggested we move out of our house which we did. I washed all my clothes in ammonia, wiped all the furniture down and threw away tons of cloth furniture. Take Choleystramine four times a day; it is the most effective mold binder in the states.

I used three other things that were suggested to me by my doctor. I think they are better than Cholestyramine, for me anyway because it seemed to make me feel better faster.

I got the big bottle of Great Plains, Bentonite Detox and G.I. Detox Bio-botanical research. I also took organic activated coconut charcoal. The longer the exposure to black mold the longer it may take for people to get well. My doctor told me it could take up to five years, that seems unbelievable. Most of the symptoms went away within few months to a year. However, some did not and it took much longer. Mold illness is very complex and it is good to get with a mold literate doctor because mold can causes body systems/processes to be disrupted that needs to be fixed. It is complicated and working with an expert helps in the detox program and they are able to suggest supplements to help the body function better. Cholestyramine is not a scam, it was the best that they had at that time.

Rid Mold in Home

My doctor told me that people that are sensitized to mold can never ever return to a house that had mold because most all of the mold allergic patients that tried to move back to a house that was remediated would usually get sick again and end up moving from the house . The environmental illness doctor told me this , that mold spores can travel into sheetrock and into the insulation these areas will not look effected so they will not be replaced during remediation, but this spores and it by products will continue to interact and breath out TOXIC byproducts into the air this was shocking information.

25% of people are allergic to the mold and 75% are not. The doctor told me that my spouse was not YET allergic to it, but over time it would break down the immune system because it is so toxic it may cause serious health complications. My understanding is that bleach and ozone does not kill mold the only thing that kills mold is ammonia. Borax is something I'm don't enough.

I'm so happy to find your site and know I'm not alone in my suffering of the past 10-15 years. During recovery from a past surgery, I was able to study more and found there were over 20,000 different mold types with no exact cure for them all. The World Health Organization says that mold health problems can only be cured by natural medicine methods. The many stories shared on this site will benefit so many sufferers.

There is the common recommendation of mold removal frequently using bleach related methods, but here's another fact. Mold is a plant. Plants will die without water or oxygen. Washing with bleach often kills the top of the plant, but not the root and it will grow back. Often repeated applications of bleach or some mold control sprays can go on for weeks or longer. If this "plant" could lose its water or air source, it has to die. In leaky basements, the mold grows on the concrete and wood. I tried sealing the moldy concrete floor with WD40. After two applications two weeks apart, the area has been mold free for years. Unfortunately the latest WD40 has changed its formula and no longer is effective.

BUT the idea works! The best substitute is Fluid Film. It's safe around food, etc., will not rot wood and has a pleasant smell. Simply clean off the mold, spray the area, scrub it lightly to work it into rough surfaces and re-apply. Touchup may be required in a few days. Because Fluid Film can be used as an automotive undercoating for rust, it sticks to vertical surfaces and seals from water exposure. With the roots sealed, the mold "plant" dies.

After posting this information on their website, the company sent me a huge thank you gift of promo goodies, and a local resort contacted me for more information.

Another suggestion along the same lines is aerosol auto paints to seal porous walls with surface mold. The paints are thin enough to seal rough surfaces, dry very quickly and are too smooth and hard for mold to grow on. I've also used engine oil on level cement surfaces. In my experience, I've never seen mold on old garage floors.

Hope this can be of help to those who cannot relocate.

The best thing is Oxygen hydrogen Peroxide food grade it works. I also have been told the same thing- this is the reason I do not like Doctors and don't trust them if they give drugs it like they are throwing darts at the dart board at all the deferent drugs that the side effects are very harmful. hydrogen peroxide is natural it is in Honey the little bubbles you can see in the store shelves.

Anti-Fungal Herbs and Foods

You are exactly correct. Your account is 100% accurate. Having worked in the supplement industry, I learned much about different supplements that were on the market (mostly for bodybuilding). Then my boss and I decided that we should bring in natural products as it is a growing market and it's important. Seeing all of the things that you listed is great. Oil of Oregano is one of the strongest natural anti-fungal products out there; an excellent choice.

What prompts me to write this reply is that I am just discovering that my current sickness is due to black mold (Stachybotrys). It is a mycotoxin which gives of potentially deadly spores. I moved into my parents basement in a transition from moving from one city to another. It was an easy way to move and have somewhere for all of my stuff :) This winter destroyed the past records for snowfall which means, a LOT of snowmelt. Basements everywhere were being flooded. Luckily, my parent's house, built in 1987, withstood any water from penetrating into the basement. BUT, black mold can still thrive as the ground is saturated with moisture.

My gf, who is very healthy and has a great diet like myself, has become oddly sick. Not just regular flu or cold symtoms, but odd uni-lateral pains throughout her arms and legs. Very odd. After doctors just gave her prescription strength drugs (which did nothing), she went to a naturopathic doctor. They figured something else was up, something viral. They gave her many natural products to take and said to stay away from a high-arginine diet. Since we both have a high protein diet for our gym lifestyle, arginine is a very abundant and common amino acid. Her blood work also showed that she had high amounts of creatinine in her blood and another test that was supposed to be between 20-120, she was at 300. I can't remember the test.... Something like C/K, looks for broken down protein in the blood. Hers was high, which is odd because she supplements with branched chain amino acids everyday. When I had this ephiphany tonight about black mold, I researched it. Sore throat and respiratory problems is a major part of black mold sickness. Both her and I have had this nagging sore throat for about a month, and nothing can cure it. ALSO I read that black mold can prevent protein synthesis, which means, it prevents her body from chaining amino acids together to make muscle protein! This could explain the reason for the high amounts of this broken down protein in her blood which could relate to the uni-lateral pains in her extremities.

So I guess my message is, if you have these symtoms for longer than 2 weeks and there seems to be no cure or you aren't getting better, look at your environment. Colds caused by a virus tend to be fought off by your body in 12-14 days, as the affected cells in the nose, nasal cavity, and throat get replaced every two weeks(ish). Colds caused by a bacteria, like strep throat, can be treated with an anti-biotic and can be greatly minimized within hours of taking the first does. However, fungi are a different breed, especially when it comes to black mold. You are constantly being bombarded by spores which continually weakens or suppresses your immune system, not allowing you to get better. LOOK INTO IT.

Thanks for reading, hopefully this can help other so they don't have to go through something like my girlfriend did!

Over the last few years I have read tons and tons of posts regarding parasites and mold disease. I see Sorrokine's post is from seven years ago, but I want to thank him from the bottom of my heart. This is the most informative and uplifting post I've ever seen. I'm heading out for ammonia, (a couple cases), and will follow your herbal remedies to a "tea" ;). I hope you consider becoming a nutritionist. It's never too late.

Ozone Treatment
Posted by Janet (In) on 10/09/2016

Robert Henry. I am glad you have narrowed down your ailment. Mold is my nemesis ...

It steals every bit of normalcy I have managed to gain in my health. It is the thing I suffer if I go in certain stores drive my old van. Attend a concert at older venues.

Ted's remedies have been my standby my cure my move forward to health.

His mold relief is the way I manage to save my health.

Vitamin d3 selenium and k2 lay the foundation.

Holy basil correct the adrenals.

Ted's ammonia remedy is the comeback. 5% ammonia in saturated borax water in a sprayer. Garden sprayer for big jobs. Hand sprayer for my body. 1 cup of ammonia in the tub. Face mask soaked in or sprayed with the solution saves me from exposures.

When the porch cracked water invaded the basement behind the paneling. No warning. I fell to the floor. No smell of mold it was just there. I keep a spray bottle on all the floors of the house with the mix. I reached for it sprayed some fabric of my shirt breathing through this got me up and out to stop symptoms. This monster mold steals everything if you allow it.

It is on Ted's remedies for mold email 7 or 8. It is the reason I am alive today.

I use my ozone machine to clean the air in places. I drink ozonated water. Much I learned from you. It is not enough. I take my machine on trips to hotels and treat the room and bathroom before we stay in it. But I travel with that spray.

I also treat the house foundation once or twice a month with the garden sprayer.

Hydrogen Peroxide, Oil Pulling

2 years ago I was exposed to toxic mold in a building. I went to this building on a bi-weekly basis for 18 months and kept getting sicker and sicker. I was diagnosed with asthma (at a free clinic) and put on 2 meds. One for maintenance the other for emergency. My lungs became inflamed and I was using the inhaler constantly... I finally weaned myself off the inhalers and other meds. After doing research I did a cleanse with H2O2. It took me over 6 months to reach the full dose and then I reduced and am now maintaining at 22 drops per week. 3 months into the "detox" I also began oil pulling. My gums were receding and I had no energy. I bought 3 bottles of sunflower oil, within 2 weeks the sensitivity left my teeth and my gums began to reattach. I finally was regaining energy and I have not stopped either therapy, Now 2 times per week I use coconut oil, I love the taste and it seems to help my lungs stay clearer. I also inhale the H2O2 as shown on this site several times a day. My treatment started over 1 year ago. I refer many friends here and have even cured my dog of heartworms from your pet site suggestions. Thank you and please continue helping those of us who can't afford health insurance or doctors. It's nice to have alternatives to make ourselves.

Thanks to everyone for the info, and mostly for the good humor. When I get days as bad as today, I stay home from work, as I lose all sense of humor and feel like I want to belt somebody. My mother used to drink ACV (straight!) for various infections, and after reading all your testimonials, I decided maybe I'd try some for my respiratory problem. I am getting desperate, as no OTC or prescribed medications are helping. I've had a chronic, violent cough which sometimes results in vomiting, and almost always in loss of urinary control, caused from living in a toxic mold-infested apartment after Hurricane Ike (and this was one I moved to in order to get out of one that flooded). In short, I have been coughing since January of 2009. The doctors don't seem to want to think of my problem in terms of the mold exposure - not sure why they are resistant to that - so they've tried (unsuccessfully, but expensively) treating me with asthma and allergy medications. Today I got some N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) from the health food store, and am hoping that will give me some relief. Sleep would be nice, too. After reading many of your comments, I thought I should report that drinking ACV immediately caused me to BECOME congested, where I hadn't been before. It could be that it's not the thing to take for a mold infection (some hint of that on the mold forum, which I read AFTER I drank the ACV!). Thanks, better breathing, and best wishes to all.

I too am allergic to mold; I NEVER had ANY adverse reactions to using ACV. Maybe its just the mold "die off"... Just use sea salt, and "DRINK" the ACV instead. It will cure your rhinitis, allergies, etc. you"ll see...

My daughter is a student and the house she shares is damp and full of fungus on the walls. Her room is the worst. When I went to pick her up for the Christmas holidays I took a plastic spray bottle of Borax and water (just put enough Borax in so that no more will dissolve). I sprayed the walls with it when I arrived and then wiped all the fungus off. After helping her pack I sprayed the walls again and just left them to dry. This was a last ditch attempt to make things better because the landlord would not do anything.

When I took her back after Christmas I didn't know what we would find but imagine my delight when we walked into her room to find not a trace of mould.

Thanks to all on this website who have written about Borax and how it kills fungus.

I hope this helps others in the same situation.

By the way, I live in the UK and it is impossible to buy Borax in any shop (even Boots). They are now selling something called 'Borax substitute' and no-one will give me a straight answer as to why they won't sell Borax. One assistant in Boots said that it was because old people used to put it in their eyes. Anyway, I eventually ordered a tiny amount from Amazon and to be honest you don't need a huge amount. Though one chemical company said they would sell it to my by the ton at a very good price.

Mold Toxicity and Chlorella: Once you no longer live or work in a moldy building, you will still have the neurotoxoins circulating in your body. The best way to remove them is to take a dose of chlorella (algae) 30 min before each meal, and the timing matters.

I have used GSE in the past for candida but I'm looking forward to using it for other things. I live where mold is a problem so I make a mixture of 20 drops GSE, 2 cups water, a few drops tea tree oil and a few drops lavender. I spray it on walls, furniture and it works great. I also put some in my dishwater-where I live there's no water lines to it's just rainwater in a big tank. The GSE helps with any bugs that may be there.

I was very sick in 2005 from mold, arsenic and nickel. I got 70% well, but after doing my own stem cells in Dec of 2019, I got very sick 4 months later. I've lost 30 lbs of muscle with severe spinal pain and neurological issues. I've been terrified its invasive fungus but all docs say no.

I've been to Klinghardt and Simon Yu. I've spent 75,000 with no real improvement from docs. I soaked my mouth guard in Borax a few days ago and after wearing it yesterday, I feel way better. I'm wanting to go to Ted's clinic in Thailand for treatment but don't have contact info. Any help or advice is appreciated so much!!!

I would urge you to look at borax for mold removal effective for the dwelling and for your lungs upon ingesting. I would expect severe detox symptoms because of your situation and so I would start very small. I have linked just one ec experience but there are many.
