I suffered skipping heart beats rapid heart rate, acid reflux and panic attacks for 15 years. Now all that is gone. I found out that Hawthorn will stop the irregular heart beat in minutes. Also found out the cause was poor digestion accompanied by stress. Apparently the intestines have some similar tissues to the heart. I thought perhaps my heart palps were due to food alergies because they seemed to come on strong after a meal. I am taking several enzymes to correct my digestion and the hawthorn. My heart now beats normal all the time in the low 60s at rest. Used to be in the mid to high 90s at rest. Ive not felt this good in years.

Thanks Tom, I have started taking the vitamin supplement again, and the vitamin B3 timed released yesterday and today. Haven't had any bad rapid heart problems like before, but last night I noticed a slight increase in the night. The supplement has a yellow coating, but also since I have been having trouble with my hands, I started taking a 8hr timed release acetaminophen pill mostly at night so if my hands bother me I don't have to keep getting up and these pills do have a red coating, which all I can find is FD&C red food color. If I notice that I am starting to get that rapid heartbeat again, I will definitly cut down again. But I feel that the B vitamins have really helped my hands, even though they are not better yet, but I can start seeing knuckles again. I will also stay away from the coloring if you think that could be it. Also I usually take the vitamins in the morning after eating something, is it better to take them at night after dinner. One question about the use of niacin. I have never used it so far but in a book I am reading the author advises the use of niacinamide instead of niacin. Do you know anything about it?

Pam: It seems you are "topping out" on the Vitamin B3 (niacin) and experiencing one of the harmless side-effects of it, either due to that 250mg being just too high for you and your body size, or having a digestive system that forces fast breakdown and release of the vitamin in far less than the nominal 24 hours! People have wide variance in almost everything, so you might be metabolizing that 250mg in those 3 hours of rapid heartbeat.

The effect of niacin doses is different for every person and so is the symptom of niacin flush. Thus, some people may show severe symptoms of niacin flush, while some may not. Read more on niacin overdose. Niacin is not a drug, but a useful vitamin. Niacin flush benefits the circulatory system and hence, one should not worry about this symptom. Though niacin flush can be irritating, one can take proper measures to avoid this discomfort and enjoy the health benefits of niacin. So, if you are taking niacin medications for cholesterol or lipid treatment, and are experiencing niacin flush; then do not stop taking niacin. Instead, consult your physician and get the proper amount of niacin dose and learn the methods to avoid the niacin flush. So, either go to a much lower dose B3, perhaps 50mg or 100 mg NOT time release and see what happens, or don't throw out the time release, but just use a knife or pill-cutter to take 1/4 or 1/2 a 250mg pill at a time, especially before nighttime. Then once your symptoms are gone with a lower B3 dose, just reintroduce the other supplements one at a time over many days. There is a small outside possibility that the multivitamin you also take has one of those thick RED food color coatings, which you may have a sensitivity to. That red, if it is, despite FDA approval generations ago, is notorious for causing reactions. It will be derived from either coal-tar aniline, or an African beetle! Check the box or bottle label.

FDA approved food coloring are to be avoided as much as possible. Practically all food coloring are derived from Coal Tar (Aniline Dyes) and can cause learning difficulties, anxiety, restlessness, and most are potential carcinogens. Children with ADD should not have food or sweets or drinks containing Red, Blues, Green, Yellow dyes.

Two weeks ago I started taking a regular multivitamin, vit B6 100mg, B3 250 timed released vit. , and turmeric caps. 400mg plus boron 3mg. Once a day. The last two nights I have awakened around 4am with a rapid heartbeat that lasts about 3 hours, I think I am taking too much, any help would be appreciated, I am not taking anything today, or until someone gets back to me. Hi Lori, thanks for sharing. My dad just noticed something was off with his heartbeat and the doctor told him he had an irregular heartbeat. I want to suggest the mag oil to him. Funny I just got a bag of flakes recently. It came with a sample bottle of mag oil as well so I immediately tried it. Didn't notice much yet (i was looking for feeling more calm). Last night I tried it on my leggs (3 sprays). My legs broke out in hives, had to wash it off to get relief and apply emu oil alo vera. Have you head a reaction like that to mag oil?

You posted in May 2010. How has it been going since then? Are you still applying mag oil regularly?

Hi I also suffer these palpitations, no reason found. Medication made it worse. But I have noticed that whenever I am on supplements or medication they return. There must be a link here somewhere. I had not had any for a year, but doc. put me on antibiotic and steroids for a lung infection, said I would feel 100% better in morning. In the morning I was in hospital! With 125 heart rate beat! This knocked me out physically for days, I have no strength after these episodes. But then took supplement next day with plastic type capsules containers. Again palpitations. Needless to say I threw out the anti-biotics and steriods that the doctor said I must take as I was so ill. Guess what after I had recovered my strenth the lung infection went away within 24 hours. So I am now keeeping off medication again and also supplements, they have so many additives, etc. Anyone else care to comment?Thanks.

I apologize if this is a bit long. I would like to share with everyone who has or currently is experiencing (HP) and the alternative process that I undertook. It was December 8, 2008 when I first experienced HP. It felt as though my heart was going to go through my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack, but without the chest pain or numbness of my extremities. Thank God for that. It freaked me out so bad that I had my wife rush me to the ER. At the ER, they hooked me up to an EKG machine, then took X-Ray, and admitted for an overnight observation. In the morning, I underwent a treadmill stress test. All results were normal. So, I was prescribed Atenolol and Fleicanide. I went to ER more than 13 times from the plethora of side effects from these drugs. I experienced very low BP, blurred visions, internal burning and pain in my gut, which then radiated to my lower back and chest, and I was diagnosed with Barret's esophagus, which is a precursor to cancer. I believe the culprit was the Fleicanide. To combat the very low BP, my cardiologist replaced Atenolol with Deltiazim--that cause severe chest burning. It got so bad that I could hardly eat anything and I was burping and belching all day long. I had to be put on Xanax for anxiety and Valium for the pain. So what did I do?

Most of you have indicated that modern medicine doesn't help. I totally agree. In fact, it only makes thing worse with so many side effects and little benefit, IF any, which was my case. I even under went catheter ablation and thankfully, my cardiologist could not chemically induce the palpitation. So he couldn't burn and scare my heart. I understand that this process makes things worse. A friend of mine took me to her Naturopath doctor. He tested my lungs, heart, stomach and liver and wrote me a prescription to have my blood tested. There were 10 tests that he was looking for. I got the results and my regular doctor said everything was normal. I took a copy of that test results and gave it to my Naturopath. He highlighted 5 things that he found abnormal even though my regular doctor had indicated that they were normal. He immediately put me on 2 weeks nutritional program strictly of organic vegetables; no meats, no sugars, no bread of any sorts, and 8 sessions of colonic hydrotherapy to help speed up the detoxification process. Once the two weeks was completed he re-adjusted my nutritional program for another 4 weeks. He also put me on herbal and botanical supplements. I was on Devacor, Neprinol, Charcoal capsules, and a mixture that consisted of 15 different herbs, roots, flowers, etc. , all precisely weighed and mixed. I have also added OMEGA-3 Fish-oil, COQ10, pre and probiotics. I continue to drink ginger tea made from fresh root and in the process of being part-vegan, I have lost 35 pounds. I say part-vegan because I eat fish and turkey. If I do eat chicken, it must be cage free or organic. Throughout my HP ordeal, I have learned so much about alternative health style. Today, I am very healthy. I still get HP, but once in a blue moon, and briefly, as compared to what I experienced in the past. I continue to eat healthy and learn to appreciate vegetables like it was going out of style. Hi Kellie... What can generally cause heart arrythmia and tachycardia problems can be an imbalance of certain electrolytes as well as lack of iodine. Therefore calcium, potassium and magnesium all will have an effect on your heartbeat since these three minerals are so important for the nerves and muscle. Calcium is usually found in excess in our diets, whereas both magnesium and potassium are usually defficient. Magnesium itself is the guvenor or balancer of calcium and potassium minerals within our cells.

Iodine/iodide is also deficient in our diets and is another element that can effect our hearts. I've been finding my own level of iodine -- and for me this has worked out to between 2-4 drops Lugol's per day. But I have taken up to 50 mgs per day to get my iodine levels up quickly. I now take far more(over a 100 times more) on a daily basis than the RDA of 150 micrograms recommended for iodine intake. In the most current independent reasearch on iodine -- The Iodine Project -- they have successfully used between 50 - 100 mgs daily intake of iodine for acute diseases like fibrocystic breast disease and upwards of 150 mgs for chronic diseases like breast or prostate cancer. Having experimented myself with Lugol's Iodine, I now regard iodine as extremely body friendly - even in large amounts. In my own research on iodine, I also found that the Japanese have a daily iodine intake of at least 13. 8 mgs per day through eating alot of seaweed with every meal. The Japanese also have some of the lowest incidence of breast, prostate, uterine and lung cancer because of this fact -- this can only because of their relatively high (as compared to the US RDA) iodine intake.

I had heart arrythmia, and just took magnesium gluconate or magnesium chloride everyday -- 400 mgms -- plus I also used a small garden flower sprayer with 2-3 tablespoons of Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) dissolved in water -- I just sprayed my torso with it after showers and absorbed the magnesium that way transdermally. This got rid of my arrythmia problems fairly quickly. At the time, I was also taking Ted's lemon/lime and BS alkalizing remedy and using natural sea salt, so I was getting enough potassium everyday. My problem was lack of both magnesium and iodine in my diet.

Does this drink really work? I have blackstrap molasses, baking soda and lemon. Does this stop your palps? If so, how? Is the acid/alkaline balance really behind the reason for, or at least an antagonist, the palps? Why would the molasses work, because of the copper content? I have read where a-fib people are low in copper and this helps them. I've been told by a doc that I needed more copper. Is a copper deficiency perhaps a cause? I'm also curious about learning more about iodine. Another scary element that we are all deficient in. Just a note, I never started getting palps (though they said I had WPW since the day I was born) until I was living on the zero carb high protein diet for years. I was pretty acidic. I just wanted to share, that sometimes Heart Palpitations are not related to a problem with the heart at all. Many times it's because a Nerve in your back is being pressed, and this will be corrected by a good Chiropractor. Amazing but true. I hope this helps.

I have been having heart palpitations for a few months now. I thought caffeine was causing them and cut it out of my diet completely. Didn't solve the issue. I also tried various magnesium supplements, which gave me diarrhea and didn't stop the palpitations. About a week ago I decided to try magnesium chloride which I had bought a few months ago at an aquarium supply store but never used. I made up a 50/50 magnesium oil solution by adding 1 cup of boiling water to 1 cup magnesium chloride crystals and stirring until the crystals dissolved. After the oil had cooled, I slathered about 3 tablespoons of the oil all over my chest and also on my right armpit. I then put on an oversized, button down shirt, leaving it wide open at the top so the magnesium oil wouldn't get soaked in the cloth, and waited about 15 minutes before washing it off. Only 5 minutes into the treatment, I felt my whole body relax and the tense feeling I had in my chest immediately dissipated.

I have been doing this treatment twice a day now for the past 5 days and have not had any more palpitations. I feel so much better now! Hope this helps someone.

Heart Palpitations, Molasses

Having discovered the site in Jan and using Earth Clinic to cure my chronic sinus infections, I checked opinions for heart palpitations. Ever since going on a lot of medications 1 yr ago for my allergies (which I never had prior to 1 yr ago), about 6 months ago my heart would skip beats. It was very very scary! It usually occurred in the afternoon or evening. I dealt with it for 6 months and then looked up cures on Earth Clinic. I immediately used what I had and tried Ted's solution of baking soda and lemon juice (1/4 tea soda and 5TB lemon juice in a large glass of water). 30 minutes later they seemed better, but I was still having them. The next day I bought some Organic Black Strap Molasses. That night the palpitations started again and I drank another glass of lemon/baking soda and 2 TB Molasses. 15 minutes later they were gone!! I have been so scared for 6 months and such a simple solution solved my problem! I did not have another palpitation for a week! Then I had a few and immediately got out the molasses. 2 TB later and they were gone for a week. I just took another 2 TB tonight, which is my 3rd week. I notice each time they come back they don't occur as frequently or seem as dramatic. Each episode is less severe. Look into Tai Chi...During one of my classes, my heart starting racing. The instructor told me to concentrate on my big toe.. a little strange but it worked. The extra energy was brought down away from the heart and it regulated itself..I'm not an expert in this, but Tai chi is very calming.

I have experienced very similar heart palpatations over the last 25 years. Once I was taken to the hospital and I too had my heart stopped with some injection to reset it. I was diagnosed with Super ventricular tacky cardia. I was told it has to do with the electric currents around the heart. I'm still not sure why it happens, because the doctors say otherwise might heart is strong. Doctors wanted to do some kind of surgical procedure, which I said no to. They also said I could take a beta blocker the rest of my life, which I don't do. I do find that when I feel an episode beginning, I just start to cough and it seems to throw my heart back into proper beating.

i have tried several remedies for heart palpitations where my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest at 2 or 3 times the normal rate (like 170 beats/min)which has happened several times in my life.

the 1st time it happened, i was at rest in a coffee shop, and i just had coffee ice cream. my heart just started beating so fast and so strong, my body shook with each beat. this was the first time it happened to me, and i didn't understand what was going on, and i just let it take it's course and somehow it stopped.

the 2nd time was years later. i had gone running in the morning, had a cup of coffee (on an empty stomach) and then ran up the stairs and my heart went crazy again. i went and lay down on the couch right away and it stopped.

the 3rd time was again another several years later, i was just sitting in my house, tired after a long hard day spent in the sun, and my heart started racing again. no caffeine involved really, although i am sure i had caffine that day. i immediately went to lay down, but this time that didn't work. it was going strong, at almost 170 beats/min and this time for a full hour, and so i went to the ER.

at the ER, the connected me to the heart monitor, which was no fun by the way, everyone got to see me without a bra! they basically had to inject something in me intravenously that basically flat-lined me to reset my heart for a second and then all was back to normal. i went to see a cardiologist after that and he said, everything was normal. he said, the nerves in my heart have a path and sometimes, the signals along the path get directed wrong, like in a circular pattern, and it makes the heart beat extremely rapidly. he said since it's only happened to me a few times over the course of 10 years, i should just keep an eye on it and live a normal life. he told me a trick though... the ER also told me the same... when you're heart is racing like that, stick your head in a bucket of cold water (not a very appealing thing to do). another remedy... take a deep breath and pinch your nose shut, keep your mouth closed tight and act as if you're trying to breath out and like you're trying to push out poop at the same time. this creates a kind of pressure in your heart/lung area and can reset your heart as well. i've done it once when it happened again, the breathing trick, not the bucket of ice trick and it worked. but i did this like as soon as i felt my heart start to skip into the rapid beating. i think if i were to wait a few more seconds it wouldn't have worked.

the last time i remember having a rapid heart rate attack was while i was driving. my heart started racing away again, seemingly out of nowhere. it was early in the morning and i was on my way to do a project and i was a little nervous about it. so what am i to do? i'm driving on a highway, so i pulled over the nearest exit and parked at a restaurant. i reclined my seat all the way back and lifted my legs way above my neck, as if i were doing a yoga position where you lie down and lift your legs above your head and let them rest behind your head on the floor. once i did that, my heart rate went back to normal.

i don't know what all this really is about, and since my doctor said my heart was normal, it seems that stress, lack of sleep, overworking your body, etc, has caused me to experience this, as well as drinking caffine in certain situations.

i also have tried prayer and meditations to relax me and it has helped as well. one interesting thing to note is that my grandmother had the same symptoms, so it could be genetic. but she was in a foreign country and had limited access to medical care and unfortunately she died of heart failure in her early 40s. she had been sick for a very long time, and i am very healthy, aside from the few rapid heart rate attacks i've had. so i hope this helps some of you. it's comforting to know though i'm not the only one out there with this problem.

I agree lactic acid and lactose are the main cause of disease. I don't think probiotic supplements are healthy either. I have cancer and they have made it worse.

Regarding heart palpitation and magnesium supplements... It is important when using magnesium supplements to keep daily intake of maganese under 2 mg. Too much manganese crowds out magnesium uptake and causes an irregular heartbeat.

Check vitamin and all supplements to make sure there is no more than 2 mg a day

Lactic Acid and Heart Palpitations

I never drink milk and I try to avoid cheese. Two days ago I drank an entire quart of kefir, hoping to turbo-charge my probiotic growth. Guess what? Heart palpitations followed not too long after. After reading what Ted said about lactic acid, I'll stick to acidophilus capsules from now on. As for the palpitations, I'm not worried. I already feel some relief (avoiding dairy, caffeine, and msg, and just gulped down some Blackstrap Molasses).

A palpitation is an abnormality of heartbeat that causes a conscious awareness of its beating, whether it is too slow, too fast, irregular, or missing in between at its normal frequency. I have been a heart patient for the last ten years and I felt worst from my palpitation.

Every fifth beat of my heart went missing and I felt a noisy gear like sound in my heart. The feeling was anxiety but no pain. I went to ER, blood analysis and ECG were perfect except my Magnesium was a bit low. Doctor attending me gave me a sip of Magnesium solution. I came back home hale and hearty.

The next day, I again noticed the palpitation, this time 15th beat was missing. I went to gym and did my regular yoga, cardio and light weight exercise. The palpitation was gone. Mind you I had not exercised due to flue like symptoms earlier. Since then, I keep Magnesium level to normal, keep exercising and eating less than what I use to eat earlier. I am better and have not felt palpitation yet.

I think controlling the amount and quality of food is key to solve the problem. Always eat and fill 1/3 rd of your stomach. Keep 1/3rd for water and 1/3rd should remain empty. You will live for a long time.

I have the same problem with palpitations at night. I will try the sourgum and mollasses.

I also wanted to mention that all the soy here in this country is genetically modified. In fact, Japanese parents who have kids here going to college send them soy from Japan. They will not allow them to have the soy grow here because of the way we grow it. It also is not supposed to be good for women. It supposedly causes breast tumors and other female related tumors. I would investigate that if I were thinking of eating more soy. When I went on the LA weight loss diet several years ago(their diet is very heavy on soy products,) I developed nodules on my thyroid. It causes man boobs to. Thanks for the info.

Back to the palpitations. When you wake up at night, with them, what do you take and how quickly does it work? I'm pretty weirded out when it happens and I've been taking xanax an additional O.O5 when it happens. I've been trying to get off the xanax.

For Palps

This is a great site and I tried many of your suggestions. I started to get Palps after some stents were put in and I understand that often happens. Perhaps it was from a temporary med like Toprol, as some suggest..... However, here is what I recently added that seems to have worked... Palps seem gone 98% and that is with having a martini every other night.......

Magnesium Aspartate by Solaray - 400 mg one a day; Vitamin Shoppe Ubiquinol CoQ10 100 mg one a day; 3 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice in a glass of water ( Minute Maid 7.5 oz Frozen from concentrate - find it where the frozen veges are ) with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, every morning; and Pediatric Electrolyte (must be kept in the fridge after opened, so drink slowly, not to shock the heart to create a palp) unflavored from Walgreens 2-3- oz plain, every evening before going to sleep.

That's it so far, but this, for once, these seem to have worked. As we know, it might be temporary, or even a coincidence but I hope others will say if it works for them.

Potassium and Magnesium Citrate Electrolyte Solution

Generally speaking Calcium is antagonistic to magnesium. So taking a supplements of calcium is generally counter productive. The other problem is there is a supplement that sells magnesium, but the ingredients are useless, which consists of magnesium oxide, magnesium carbonate and magnesium stearate. Firstly magnesium oxide is poorly soluble in water, magnesium is weakly soluble, while magnesium stearate is more like a wax which prevents the tablets from being easily dissolved. I would also not use calcium since it encourages blood clots in presence of high magnesium and worsens the heart as it is, besides calcium being antagonistic to magnesium. I therefore would likely use two forms of magnesium, magnesium chloride, or magnesium citrate. Some other marketing companies sells magnesium aspartate. That's counterproductive as it is an excitotoxins. When taking the supplements, it's also taken along with magnesium citrate (500 mg), may also include CoQ10, iodine, potassium citrate, and sodium bicarbonate. Electrolyte imbalance has to consider not just magnesium, but potassium and sodium bicarbonate. That being, vitamin B50, is important and it's effect is noticeably improved, at least in one case who was about to go into a heat attack, stopped within 15-20 minutes after taking the vitamin B complex, in form of B50, which are mostly 50 mg of each of the B vitamin, with exception of folic, B12, and biotin, which are often in microgram doses. I believe two most important onces for this condition is the magnesium and the vitamin B complex. A third runner up is the CoQ10, and followed by a natural Vitamin E 200 i.u.

I have a few cases who actually benefited from aspirin 500 mg, dissolved in a cup of water (taken only when there IS a problem) and iodine (lugol's supplement) taken at 2-4 drops plus 1000 mg of vitamin C taken at the same time, preferably in the form of sodium ascorbate. It tends to be warming the heart area when an iodine is taken, assuming that there is subclinical iodine deficienc of course. The iodine of 2-4 drops is taken in the form of lugols's solution, in a cup of warm water, along with the vitamin C. Whether a vitamin C 1000 mg or 500 mg, depend on individual needs, for me iodine seems to work better if 1000 mg of vitamin Ci is taken so that possible side effect of a mild headache does not occur, whenever an iodine is taken. However, if iodine lugol's solution is mixed in one liter of water, the problem of mild headaches doesn't occur as it is diluted one liter, and taken over the course of a day. Still the vitamin C 1000 is needed, but individual preference may prefer 500 or 1000 depending on the size and weight of the individual.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

After getting horibly short of breath and sometimes even distressed after a sudden bout of heavy exersise (e.g. climbing a few flights of stairs), an ECG reported that I have AF (Atrial Fillibration). I am a 59 year old male who eats of high plant low meat diet but drinks too much coffee and beer.

The local Indonesian doctor who found the AF issue, suggested a typical Big Pharma regimen of nasty drugs. I recalled a friend who said he had dealt with bad heart palpitations using Mg (Magnesium) plus other minerals and vitamin supplements.

Before coming here to EC, I researched the topic and found that in emergency rooms, Mg is often introduced intraveneously to control bad cases of AF.

While visiting Australia last week, I bought some large bottles of Mg Ca K supplements and made up mixture of Epsom Salts (Magnesium Suphate) and water in a nasal spray bottle, which I spray into my lungs.

All this has helped. but it seems that if I let the amount of daily supplemented Mg drop too much, I too easily go into AF after heavy exercise. In other words, I have yet to find the right daily dose.

I started getting heart palpitations every day for the last month or two. They are very scary. I was told to cough hard to get the heart back in rhythm. That worked for a second or two. I then took Black Strap Molasses (1 teaspoon) and a 1/2 hour later I drank water with 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. That combo usually stops the palpitations for 1/2 a day.

HOWEVER, I started OP (Oil Pulling) every morning on an empty stomach (1 teaspoon of either virgin olive oil or 1 teaspoon of sunflower oil) and since I've started, I've had no palpitations at all! It's amazing!

I was on a benzo for over a year because of heart palpitations. The doc said I was stressed. I working in the heat (outside), I wasn't eating, and i dropped like 20 lbs in 2 weeks. But he gave me that dam pill instead. He told me I could take it when ever I wanted as much as i wanted.Well, because my job is very dangerous and you have to be a little more than alert with chicago driving, i decided that I could not take the whole pill untill i got home. 1mg...yup 1mg of clonazepam or colonapoison I and many others like to call it, It took me 4 1/2 months to tapper off of this drug which I had help from my online friends to do this. Docs are NOT educated on the withdrawal of these dangerous drugs and will try and have you off of them in a month which most of the time gaurantees a trip to the e.r. Those 4 1/2 months I felt like I was dying and then after my tapper 5 weeks later post acute withdrawal hit and I thought I lost my mind. Another 4 months of mind numbing torture. Please do not take the benzos or even anti depressants. The ANTIS, have simular problems. Google OR EVEN LOOK IT UP ON YOU TUBE...S.S.R.I. or BENZO WITHDRAWAL.

to CH--glad you felt better with the ACV, but that bp is very dangerous!!! 210/110 is considered a hypertensive crisis and is truly a medical emergency. As an ER nurse, that is far FAR too high to see someone's pressure, especially if you're experiencing cardiac symptoms. I hope that you're being followed closely by a doctor, and that they're keeping tabs on how your BP is doing, regardless of the treatment you choose to use (pharmaceutical, natural or a combination.) Good luck!

I have had a heart arithmea for about five years now (runs in the family) I had it well controlled with a magnesium supplement. I started taking ACV for PMS and beautiful skin, been taking it for a week, but it gave me the worst heart palpitations yet!! I tried it by its self, and when that made me sick to my stomach I added 1/4 tsp baking soda to 2 Tbls ACV. But the heart palpitations really worry me....

Vijay, must tell you that my mom at 85 yrs had a stroke & was "gone" by the time I got her out of the bathroom & into the bed. Had to really hurry & find cayenne powder which I mixed with a few drips of water then swabbed her tongue & mouth heavily inside with it. Next, Ran into the pantry, found my habinaro oil & proceeded to swab her tongue & inside of her mouth with it also.( it was much more hot!)The doseage was approx. a tsp of cayenne powder & enough water to make a quick paste. for the habinaro oil I put about a 1/4 tsp all around in her mouth. Then, her eyes opened! She was back- no brain damage observed then or now. She didn't feel the heat of the hot oils or remember them at all. It works & it's immediate.

I have seen the best way to remove the clogging is to take cayenne pepper. Please take a t-spoon of cayenne pepper & dissolve it in hot water & sip it slowly. This will be a good remedy before the paramedics arrive. I have heard, read & seen many benefits cayenne pepper has on the body.

It removes stickiness in the arterial walls, removes clogs to some extent etc. Please do consult a doctor as these are remedied to prevent severe strokes & some measures to be taken before the doctor arrives.

Hello Jim from Tuckerman, That is a long time to put up with irregular heartbeats, but it could be something you are deficit in and/or a combination of that with eating stuff you shoudn't be. Believe it or not, I remember seeing a lady with what we call a bijeminal beat. No doctors had found a cause for it either. I suggested that she switch to whole grain products (including making her biscuits with whole wheat flour). The rest of her diet was very good with lots of home grown vegetables from her garden. Hardly any processed foods. Because she also was having trouble sleeping & admitted to some stress, a good stress tablet at meal times and bed time was also suggested. A few weeks later she dropped into the clinic just to tell me that she was feeling better than she had felt in years. Palpating her pulse while we were talking, her bijem was gone and replaced with a regular, normal pulse.

Now let's talk about those things you shouldn't be eating. Since you are sending e mails, I assume you have a computer and are on line. Do yourself a favor and type in (excitotoxins) in your search window and hit go. You will find that the two major toxins are monosodium glutamate and aspartame. Copy down all those names they hide monosodium glutamate (MSG) under and go into your kitchen and start reading labels on everything you eat or drink and you should also include any chewing gum, snuff, and chewing tobacco. You will quickly learn that almost every processed food in your kitchen contains one or both and both of them are known to cause heart palpitations, panic attacks, and other much more serious things. Don't forget to read labels on your raw meats that you bought at the supermarket, because I found two of the very popular brands of chicken and beef listed chicken broth and natural flavors or natural flavoring. Although MSG wasn't mentioned in either case, the chicken broth in one brand is loaded with MSG, and the other brand of chicken and beef also listed natural flavors or natural flavoring on the ingredients. This is also MSG. I have found a couple of brands of canned vegetables that listed from MSG, and mentioned it again in the same ingredient list under the names hydrolyzed plant protein, and natural flavoring. You are safer in the frozen food section, but stay away from the preseasoned frozen vegetables too because they are more likely to have one or both of the 2 major excitotoxins in them. You can find a few soups, salad dressings, sauces, etc. without them but it takes time, because it isn't easy to find them.

Now one other thing we need to talk about is magnesium, because this mineral has a lot to do with regulating the heart rhythm and the blood pressure. If you are still eating bleached flour products, this in one of those 52 ingredients taken out in removing the bran and bleaching process. Then they add 8 back and call it enriched! Truth is, it is depleted of 44 nurtients after this so called enrichment. Magnesium is one of those things that most of us would check out low on these days. Also magnesium is hard to replenish to the desired level without getting its laxative effect also. But since reading about transdermal replenishment to avoid the laxative side effect, thereby retaining the needed magnesium, it seems that my cup or two of epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) in a good bathtub of warm water should do a decent job of replenishing without getting diarrhea, and rather inexpensive to do when you can get a 2 lb. box of epsom salts at a few stores, like dollar tree, for $l.00. Why don't you give these suggestions a few weeks try and let us know how you're doing. LOL in this case means lots of luck to you.

I've been suffering from heart palpitations for 37 years and had every kind of test run to see what was causing the problem. Guess what, the doctors could not find a thing wrong. Sound familiar? I have been observing the palpitations closly for a long time and I have concluded that they are caused by intestinal gas which exerts pressure up on my diaphram and my heart reacts to it, and by the way, one cardiologist said that I have a sensitive heart. This makes sense, since the gas pressure is there the heart will sense that and skip a beat or several in a row. Suggestions from anyone? Jim

I have been having Heart Palpitations, Tachardia about every 4 months for the past two years. My doctors have ran all kinds of heart test and can not find anything wrong with my heart. I had a serious one Sunday night and had to call 911, while I was waiting for them to ge there I thought I was going to die. I ran in the kitchen and took a few sips of apple cider vinegar straingt and the heart began to slow down, by time the ambulance got there my heart had slowed down to 110 beats per minute and my blood pressure had droped to 210/110. Apple Cider Vinegar just a few sips always works for me. Went back to Doctors, They still don't know what is causing it.

I was surprised to learn that yogurt may cause heart palpitations. However I know from my own experience that I would sometimes develop an irregular heart beat after eating this product. Orange juice or an orange can help reduce my heart palpitations along with calcium and magnesium supplements. Other people have also told me that an orange or the juice works for them as well. I've not tried the apple cider vinegar but will do so to see if it may work for me. I've had nuclear stress testing and apparently do not have coronary artery blockage thus far. I have learned through personal experience that high blood pressure meds (once took mycardis) may cause heart palpitations even after a year or more of use.

Hi Jackie, Welcome to the world of reality. Your doctor doesn't tell you a lot because of the AMA which is the strongest union in the USA. When they get wind of someone recommending anything that medicine doesn't have control of, they start hollering "Quack, quack" and trying to put them out of business. Psst! Ever hear of that site called "Quack Watch"!? Not many doctors want to run that risk with all the debt from medical school hanging over their heads or even after that debt is paid. It also explains why the big pharmaceuticals, AMA, and other allies making a living in the health field are so interested in closing down the health food stores, making vitamins, minerals, herbs and supplements available by prescription only. I hope & pray that this current attempt will be such a flop that they will never try it again. But play it smart and go buy you a few good books on recognition of and uses of our local herbs that most people call weeds. That way, we might not be able to get herbs from other countrys but we can surely find enough in our own localities to still be winners healthwise.

I am cheered up by people like you and the other one I just read in EC that figured out that mixing powdered blood root (which is a very easily recognized wild flower) with DMSO for skin cancer on her own. YEA! EC readers & sharers, keep using those heads for something besides a hat rack! We can all learn from one another and enjoy better health, and better health starts with what you eat & drink.

I was just reading something about Michigan, which first started fluoridating the public water, supply is now rethinking on the wisdom of this, because of so many reports of connections to bone cancer and other unwanted problems from this toxin produced as a byproduct of producing aluminum which could only be sold for pesticide or rat poison, before somebody got the idea of forcing it on the people on the public water system. I also read where Maryville, Tn. finally got it removed from their public water supply in the past couple of years. If
people keep wising up, our health is gonna increase likewise. But winning the battle with FDA, AMA, MSG, aspartame and the others isn't going to be easy.
