Hydrogen Peroxide for Bleeding Gums

YEA I've been using Hyd peroxide for a mouth rinse after flossing. I've pretty much always had some bleeding after flossing, but just 1 week of using a tablespoon or two of peroxide, swishing after flossing, it has completely stopped.

Have you ever heard of "silent gerd"? You don't really feel the acid coming up, and I believe it usually happens when you are sleeping. It can cause a lot of damage. Perhaps look it up on line and see if the symptoms relate to what you are going through. Good luck to you.

Hard Palate
Posted by Paul (Newtown, Pa, usa) on 08/22/2012

Hi everyone, It's about 5 months since the hard palate in my mouth began irritating me. A sensitivity and soreness which, for the most part, has been present almost every day.

I have had all the necessary blood tests, seen a doctor and had a cancer screening by the dentist. I follow a good diet, maybe 1 cup of coffee a day and seldom consume alcohol, meat, sugar or wheat (gluten) products. I am fit, quite healthy and have been trying various mouth rinses, from essential oil blends to acv, coconut oil, sesame oil, olive oil, you name it. I have also been oil pulling for about 2 weeks now but this uncomfortable sensitivity and irritation continues.

If anyone can recommend anything that might help me to understand how to address this I would be most grateful.

Many thanks and thanks for a wonderful site!

Hi Meg, I can't tell you how happy I am to hear how the videos have helped you and that you also got some answers after listening to David Wolfe on zappers! That man is absolutely amazing. A genius actually, with a wealth of information on an encyclopedic amount of subjects. I have heard him speak many times as he is the person who conducts and orchestrates the Longevity Now conferences I attend. I have now been fortunate enough to have attended 5 of them and each one always has some new, cutting- edge information. He was the first person I ever heard on zappers and that was on youtube. Each time I go go a conference, he has gathered drs, scientists, herbalists and extremely knowledgeable people in their respective subject!

Like you, I have everything to gain the more knowledge I have to work with! And I love passing on to others what I have learned. It empowers each and every one of us and then we can make educated decisions regarding our personal health and life! The best to you always, Lisa

Hi Lisa, Thank you for the next instalment on dental health... Very interesting tip re b. soda & ACV in dealing with plaque.

Also, thank you for the information re the zapper... I have decided to purchase one after looking up the website you posted and also comments by David Wolfe on the use of the zapper for gum infection problems. I don't see that I have anything to lose, and everything to gain.

Another interesting point from David Wolfe in another video excerpt on youtube was the connection between the meridian of the stomach/pancreas/spleen and the top molars both sides of the mouth.... Exactly where my problems are in both cases. Donna Eden explains the meridian flows and demonstrates them on youtube also. I am practising these flows too, especially the one for the pancreas/stomach/spleen. Thanks again, and 'always victory' for all of us trying to take responsibility for our own health issues.

Just wanted to say thanks, and tell everyone if they have not checked out this site, they should! :-)

Thanks for posting this. I had a flare up with swollen gums around my back right molar which seemed to make it difficult to chew at all. I have been very worried. Throughout the day yesterday I oil pulled with sunflower oil (2xs) and that began to bring it down and then once I read about the baking soda and water I tried that, swished it around and spit it out without rinsing and it seems to have worked like a charm. My mouth felt a lot better this morning. I will likely do it again today to get the inflammation down but all in all the pain has subsided too. Many many thanks!!!

Hi Meg, I'm so glad you've been enjoying and learning from the healthy teeth and gum videos I have been posting! More importantly, that you are actually applying them. I know I have learned so much from her. I have her book and read it as well and as I said before, loosely apply her method.

For me, realizing that teeth are living, dynamic parts of our body, not something we are helpless to change standing by watching them decay, has been so eye opening. There is so little we are taught in the main stream, about truly taking care of our teeth. I got rid of mainstream toothpaste first and then "healthy toothpaste" as well. Glycerin is in most toothpaste and it creates a slippery film over our teeth not allowing the natural flora of our mouth to heal them and continually re- enamelize them. Dr. Bronner's soap, sea salt, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide are such better choices for our mouth health. Also, have you incorporated a tongue scraper?

Anyway, I promise to keep posting these videos as I receive them. I'm so glad you've learned new information from them! Best to you, Lisa

Hydrogen Peroxide
Posted by Maggie (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) on 06/16/2012

Are you using food grade hydrogen peroxide or over the counter hydrogen peroxide? Do you just use it as a mouth rinse? I am very interested because I have serious bleeding gums and receding gums that I have been trying to cure with things such as lysine, clove oil, brushing with baking soda and coconut oil. Hoping the hydrogen peroxide will make a difference. Thanks.

Table salt contains chemicals which are bad for you. Sea Salt is better but pure Himalayan salt is the best it is a host of trace minerals as well as the much needed Iodine. You should never use toothpaste either, look up what is in it and freak. Baking Soda is the best toothpaste.

Firstly I love this site.... So helpful. I have to say I have periodontal disease and have been going to a Hygenist for 6 weeks now. The gums below my 2 bottom front teeth were so receded, almost to nothing. I started taking Co Q10 capsule 160mg each morning and the results are amazing, the gums are no longer receded, the gums if anything have grown back. I am over the moon and can only put this down to taking a daily dose of CO Q10. Thank you so much.

I was very worried that I had gum disease so I began to research and I came across this site. I read all the reviews and settled on the remedies of BEE PROPOLIS, CoQ10, and Oil Pulling. A week later and my teeth/gums/mouth have never felt better. I really didn't think it was going to work at first and figured I would have to tell my family and go to the doctor/dentist. The first thing I do when I wake up is swish around a teaspoon of sesame oil for 20 min in my mouth. I then brush my teeth, floss, and rinse my mouth with mouthwash. I take the CoQ10 on an empty stomach before I eat breakfast. I try to drink a lot of water and chew sugar free gum as much as I can during the day. At night I repeat the brush, floss, and rinse. And when I am done I apply the bee propolis. After a week I have noticed the difference. The space between my teeth and gum are becoming tighter. My gums are changing from a dark red/purple to a regular red/pink. My teeth no longer feel like they are going to fall out. And most importantly I have no sores or cuts around my mouth. I think this remedy saved my mouth from gum disease and saved me from the embarassment. If you are worried or just want something different try these 3 things.

06/16/2008: J. B. From N. J. : "Hi Ted, Like many others, I stumbled onto this site during an internet search for some health concern and am thankful for the helpful, inexpensive and safe recommendations. My reason in writing concerns how to prevent tooth loss due to cracking. I have just cracked my fourth tooth in 12 years (I am 52). None of these teeth had cavities, in fact I have never had a cavity in my life. But I do have periodontal disease, with most of the pockets in the 4 - 6 mm range. I do not brush daily, but use salt/baking soda combo when I do, followed by a hydrogen peroxide rinse.

I have receeding gums due to a periodontal disease but have been using OraMd for some months now and the disease is just about gone. My teeth were very loose because of the gum issue and thought I would lose them all. I also would find bits of tooth in my food that had cracked off even though I took plenty Calcium and D3. All I do is brush gently with baking soda and then apply 5 eyedroppers of OraMd on the brush and gently coat my teeth, gums and tongue x 3 per day. Since using my teeth have not cracked, I no longer have bad breath and the gums are pink and growing. It is all natural and consists of clove oil and such. There are 2 types you can get and I have tried both but prefer the stronger more concentrated as it does not sting and seems to do a much faster and better job.

Update. I went back to my hygienist after 5 weeks, of using bee propolis, q10, ratania mouthwash and oil pulling. The dentist said there has been a cosiderable improvement in my gum health. I didn't tell her what I had been doing but she was pleased. She said if I continue on this way, instead of needed to see me every 4 weeks, we could get to the stage of twice a year. I am so pleased, although as I have been doing so much I am unsure as to what is working. However, no change to the gap in my front teeth at this point. But I found this site - a life saver

I stumbled on this site at first after I noticed a purple area on under my front teeth bottom row of gums. My teeth had been hurting to the point I thought it was an ear ache and it just really sucked. Noticed a hole beggining in both left and right side molar region on 2 teeth. Searched through here looking for remedys and I cant lie I thought this stuff was a joke just straight bull shit. Since I didnt have dental though I decided to give it a shot and see whats up.

I started mouth washing with hydrogen peroxide and upped it to Bee propolis the paste rubbing it on my gums at night before bed. Ive been doing the hydrogen now for about 4 days and the B for about 3. I also began oil pulling with coconut oil yesterday.

My dark purple spot is no longer purple. It has became a healthy shade of pink, not all the way pink still a lil dark but from a dark purple to a allmost 1 shade away from being perfect pink. My teeth are still bothering me but only when I get something near the hole other then that I am cool. The benefits to my mouth are tremendous and I also no longer experience bad breath. To top that off, I am in the midst of losing weight, I currently weigh 340 and have not jogged since maybe march or february. I have begun jogging and walking again and noticed that I was about to jog a half mile with no problem (minus my ankles I believe new shoes are in order as well as proper stretching as ive fractured both in my younger days). I havent jogged a half mile since I was 240 and going into the military.

One more thing to mention, I woke up yesterday with a big fat red pimple corner of my mouth, applied the B propolis to it in the morning it shrank by afternoon barely visible, applied some more later that evening, and it is gone as of this time. Less than 24 hours for it to go.

Definately some beneficial things here that I am going to continue to read and look at. To all those who are skeptical of things like this I encourage you to try it because it is doing something.

I have been to the dental hygentist twice now and going back in 3 weeks to see how things are progressing. Meanwhile I came across this site. I am from New Zealand and when I went to the health food store they had capsules, mouthwash or toothpaste. I purchased the bee propolis toothpaste and will keep you all posted. I have itchy gums too. It comes and goes (for the last year) and I can't pinpoint the problem but I'm looking into dehydration (from coffee, too much sodium, fiber, etc). I am also considering carbs, allergies to foods, certain proteins, etc. One thing that calms them down is zinc. Take a zinc, preferably a type that doesn't make you nauseous and try drinking a lot of water. Your best bet is to keep a food journal and note the times when gums are itchy.

I expereinced severe Gingivitis in two areas of my Gums, I had a small amount of dental reconstruction done in the US it was very expensive, I moved to Turkey, in 05 and used Dr Tongs remedy for three years it works, But I was unable to find it, again, I found two Dentist in Turkey who did deep cleaning and replaced the broken bridges on the right side, But the stubborn gingivitis was not responding to the treatments the most rececnt dentist used. But a few months ago I was researching for home remedies for dental health and found this website and information about OP I started it from the Oil I strained from Sesame Butter, It showed instant positive results, clearing the white paste from the Tounge improving the healing of the infection under the gum line. Yes I have expereinced some of the healing side effects described by some of the People who use the Op. But it definitely is a solution to ridding the system of unwanted bacteria and Toxic deposits, Most medicallly trained professionals overlook and fail to treat or even aknowledge as the cause of many symptoms. that the Body uses to alert us that there is a underlining problem that must be addressed. I have heard it can take months to get the full benfits of OP, don't stop to you get it. Happy healthy attracts wealthy unfoldings. I hope this inspires and help those who read this.

I started oil pulling with ____ Coconut Oil about 10 days ago after my first visit with the dentist. I had a bad case of gingivitis; bleeding gums and was about to lose a molar, and was going to need a heavy duty cleaning. The dentist prescribed an alcohol-based mouthwash to use twice a day, which I really didn't want to use. A co-worker mentioned oil pulling so I researched it and then bought a jar of ____ Coconut Oil.

Long story short, I went back to the dentist last night and he was absolutely amazed on how my gums looked. He said he couldn't tell I had periodontal disease just by looking at my mouth, only by x-rays taken the week prior. The gingivitis had cleared up that much in just 9 days! I have been pulling only once a day every day and some days a 2nd time. No more gum bleeding either! I am thrilled with the results. I can't wait to hear what he has to say when I go back in 2 weeks!!

OK so I just thought I'd write an update. It's been about 2 months since I started oil pulling, I switched to coconut oil after my sunflower oil ran out and I now seem to have some days where my teeth and gums feel better. Some days though I wonder if it's my imagination. I'm going to keep trying and guess that in a couple more months I might start to notice more of an improvement. Baby steps... By the way, I do prefer the coconut oil.

No ache, no swelling, I really can't believe it.

Try coQ10. I put up an article yesterday (in the coq10 section of Earth Clinic) about how coq10 is used in both the US and Japan for healing gum disease. Even people with the worst gums with deep pockets were healed. The article said that gum disease and heart disease were often related, and a symptom of coq10 deficiency is bleeding gums/gum disease. I would take a minimum of 100mg per day even 200mg divided in two per day.

Google coq10 and gum disease for further info.

For the gingivitis, there are several products you can use daily.

Peroxide, diluted bleach (the dentist uses this on root canals), Listerine and brush your teeth with Organic Edible Diatomaceous Earth (I could only get this from the internet).

These products allowed me to keep my own teeth.

Oil Pulling
Posted by Charmaine (Perth, Western Australia) on 02/21/2012

Hi all, I have been oil pulling now for around 10 days, hoping to reverse gingivitis before it progresses into something more serious. I am using cold pressed organic sunflower oil, normally once in the morning for 20 mins and sometimes again for 20 mins before lunch or dinner (depends if I've been snacking! ). I then rinse with salt water with a drop of peppermint essential oil.

So far I've seen no real difference. My breath has been better and I am sleeping deeply but that could also be from a detox I've been doing for the last month or so. My gums look just as white, they are still receding, and my teeth have not whitened. It hasn't been that long since I started but after reading that so many people with more advanced mouth issues are seeing noticeable improvements in such a short time I am skeptical. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

When I spit out the oil I notice it's still thick even after 20 mins. When I OP a second time during the day it's often thinner. My mouth is just so dry and sticky when I wake up in the morning (I drink tons of water all day - at least around 12 glasses - and 2-3 glasses straight after OP).

Maybe after I finish the bottle of sunflower oil I will switch to coconut oil or try adding a drop of oregano oil to the sunflower oil? Any suggestions??

Many thanks EC! X

And w/ the production and competition up, the price of CoQ10 has once again become somewhat affordable for the most of us. No doubt using CoQ10 on a regular basis for several yrs has helped me in the gum dept. Also CoQ10 is one of the best heart nutrients; as little as 30mg day can benefit heart health. As one ages this critical nutrient diminishes so it is very important to up the dosage to the tune of 100mg 2X day for the 50's plus members; and ubiquinone 50-100mg 2X day for the 70's plus members. Be sure to take Selenium and Vit-E w/ CoQ10 to insure its potency & lifespan in the body.

Very interesting Debbie from Australia.... Thank you for sharing. I just started taking 100mg CoQ10 a few days ago for other reasons. I will be sure to see if my gums look any better / different and report back. They are not "bad' but there is one area that seems like it is not happy (located by a tooth that was filled to the gum line last year with a mercury filling - argh! )

Good information, much appreciated!

Carly

PS: Also re gums.... Lots of vitamin C is a huge help also. I usually take 2,000 mg a day, divided into two 1,000 mg doses. When I don't take it for a week or so, my gums bleed, and I bruise easier than usual.

Co Q10

Anyone with gum disease or bleeding gums should seriously look at coQ10. It is even used in the US and Japan to treat the problem. Gum disease can be a precurser to heart disease and actually be a deficiency of coQ10. Low coQ10 is a major factor in heart problems.

From an article I have linked to:

"A study by Dr. Edward Wilkinson of the Wilford Hall US Air Force Medical Center, discovered that people with diseased gums had an unusually large deficiency of CoQ10. Remarkably, once patients with diseased gums were supplemented with CoQ10, the gum conditions actually reversed. This became the benchmark study, which led to more researches and discoveries about the benefits of CoQ10.

Wilkinson, a pioneer in periodontal studies of CoQ10, handled some of the worst case histories of patients whose damage from periodontal disease seemed irreversible. One of them involved a woman whose gum disease extended throughout her mouth and the mucous membrane of her nose and throat. Even eating became a torment. She was deemed a hopeless case.

Wilkinson decided to try her on 60 milligrams of CoQ10 per day. After only two weeks of continuous CoQ10 supplementation, the patient was able to eat normally again and her overall condition significantly improved. CoQ10 enabled patients to overcome or reverse their gum disease, even in its worst state."

WARNING!

WHOA! DO NOT mix 1/2 and 1/2! He is using 35 % food grade H2O2, which is VERY STRONG and can be very harmful if not diluted correctly. From what I've read you can use 3 drops in a glass of water for swishing in the mouth.

IF you are using only the store- bought 3% H2O2, then you could mix 1/2 and 1/2, but the 35% he is referring to is very strong and will literaly burn you!

I have been battling a gum infection for 2 months. After three courses of antibiotics, I gave up and tried Vitamin C 3000mg. This began to improve my gums, however, the infection persisted. My gums have been aching, sore, dark red, and inflammed.

I decided to try Oil of Oregano. I purchased a brand that was 60% diluted in extra virgin olive oil. Immediately, with a clean finger, I rubbed one drop of it over my gums, and another drop on the other side. Immediately the ache subsided. After 8 hours, my gums felt much improved. There is a slight tingly warm feeling upon initially applying which is normal for Oregano Oil. Before bedtime, I repeated this again, along with placing one drop beneath my tongue, holding it in place and washing it down with water.

I woke up with my mouth feeling more nomal than it has in weeks. Another additional benefit, it cleared my sinuses! They have been blocked.

Caution: Do not use Oil of Oregano undiluted. It is caustic and it WILL burn. That is why dilution in extra virgin olive oil is important.

I'm sharing this remedy in hopes it will help someone else stop suffering today!

The best thing I have done for my teeth and gums is change to a silica toothpaste. I had receding gums, sensitive teeth near my gums that would feel like an electric shock when I brushed my teeth. I also had bleeding gums if I did not religously floss my teeth every night. Since changing, the sensitivity has gone, and my gums don't bleed even when I don't floss every night.

Does anyone know any remedies for itchy gums? I'd rather treat the cause than simply apply pain relievers. This has been a periodic problem over the last… oh…. 15 years of my life. My gums will just become itchy for no reason for about a month before the problem just goes away on its own. But during that month, I'm scraping at my teeth and gums with anything- sticks, my fingernails, my shirt, toothbrushes dipped in baking soda, pieces of plastic I've taken from birthday gifts that I've cut into sharp triangles, anything- all day and causing a darker reddening (probably bruising) of my gums.

I've been able to tolerate a few hours of not scratching at my gums by putting ground cloves directly on my gums. This treats the itching but probably isn't fixing the cause.

As far as I know, I've never been diagnosed as having gingivitis, but that doesn't mean I don't have it.

So if anyone knows how to make the itching stop, I'd be so grateful.

Thank you Earth Clinic staff and members!

My gums and overall dental health seem to have improved dramatically by using diatomaceous earth (food grade) to brush with (dip damp toothbrush into the DE and brush). I have also been experimenting with a combination of almond oil and spearmint and peppermint essential oils. I don't have an exact recipe but I put a couple of tablespoons of almond oil in a dropper bottle with some spearmint and peppermint oil (10-20 drops each). I put a few drops on my toothbrush and try to work the mixture into the root areas of my teeth. I also put a drop on my floss. My infected gums have cleared very quickly with this solution and a painful molar I had (with a crown) has become painless. I make sure to gently massage the solution all over my gums, roof of my mouth, tongue, etc. To try to eradicate any bacteria that is causing problems. I have also experimented with putting the DE on my brush and then a few drops of the above solution. I hope this helps others. If I get more exact solution, I will post it. If someone is knowledgeable about essential oils and wants to weigh in on suggested amounts that would be great.

Hi to everyone out there looking for a cure to your periodontitus! I recently had an ache in my mouth, the first dentist wanted me to root canal or extract but she said I neded to see an oral surgeon for that. Well, after I left there I called a few dentists up to see if they could extract. I couldnt get an appointment until the next day so I went a whole night in pain.

The next day the dentist examined the same xray and told me my teeth shouldnt be causing me this much pain because even though I had cavities back there the the teeth were savable, even without a root canal. I found out I had semi-periodontitus. The pain was coming from a gap formed in my mouth between my tooth and gums which was caused by infection in my mouth. After a long talk with him about expensive dentist plans, and how he didnt want to extract my tooth, I went home with 2 fillings, anti biotics, and pain that came back after the numbing died down. Thankfully by the grace of God my friend from missouri called me up and he told me about oregano oil, and clove bud oil used as a natural anti-fungal, and natural anti-septic that he had been using to ease pain in his mouth. After he told me surf the web on it I did. And as I read about the oils, I heard about oil-pulling! I was jumping up for joy when I heard the numerous testimonies of how oil pulling cured periodintitus. I somewhat believed it because ive been learning alot about natural and organic foods and cures for about a year now and it is proven that nothing works better for mankinds symptons and sicknessess like the natural products that God created for us to take care of us. He has proved Himself in the past and I was very excited to see how He would help me in this case.

Well, only 2 weeks later of oil pulling and my gap has closed TREMENDOUSLY! Swishing sesame seed oil in my mouth for bout 20 minutes, brushing with some baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and oregano oil, and my mouth feels great! My gums are so much more firmer now as well!!! This stuff is legit. And it has many solid purposes. It actually removes toxins from your body and can cure many sicknessess. Thank you God so much for your perfect wisdom and mercy on us!

Table salt is sodium chloride. Sea salt is sodium chloride but with trace minerals from salt water. Don't know where you are getting your imformation, but it's scary.

Not sure what you are referring to regarding the comment about palpatations BUT, sea salt (sun dried) is the only NUTRITIONAL salt for you. It is complete and naturally nutritional, table salt is NOT. Sorry but that is the WRONG choice to make. Sodium Chloride is what your heart needs as it does Potassium Chloride. Table salt is incomplete, nutritionally speaking, and causes more harm than any good. Your heart is a potassium sodium pump, fundamentally speaking, ptoassium chloride regulates the heart and sodium chloride (not table salt) hydrates the blood and is also an integral part of the defense system of your body. Sodium chloride can be a good defense against bacteria and is why it is used in canning processes to prevent botchilism (sp) sorry.

I swished with a very mild 1.5% solution and it damaged my front gum. It actually seemed to burn it off. I don't recommend hydrogen peroxide.

This is for the individual who wanted to know remedies to improve the condition of her gums. American Botanical Pharmacy sells "Daily Oral Therapy, " that reverses gum disease. It is not inexpensive but it is worth it. Their website is www.herbdoc.com.

Their herbs are formualted by a Master Herbalist and N.D. who has 20 years of clinical experience reversing so called "incurable" diseases. Their herbs are organically grown or wildcrafted. They sell a superfoods formula which is excellent.

This N.D. recommends that one detoxifies by starting out with cleansing the colon first; then, you can go on to cleanse your kidneys/bladder, liver, etc. Must start out with colon always.

Hope this will help.

Hi there, my name is Caroline and I have been reading all your info on this problem, from all you have been telling me I dont know where to begin, you all sound wonderful people and I am sure that your problems are the same as mine. But what substance do I start with is my problem, bee propolis or hydrogen peroxide or even charcoal powder? I have a problem and that's all I know. Help me solve it. Gum disease.

Years ago, my dentist told me to use a firm toothbrush and when I brush, I should twist the toothbrush in a rolling motion going from the gums to the end of the teeth. The gums will bleed at first, but they will strengthen. Floss first. And brush the chewing surface also. When I get my teeth cleaned every two years, it's very painful because the hygenist is used to going deep behind the gums to scrape. Mine bleed and are sore for 2-3 days afterward. But, I haven't had a cavity in years, only had to replace one that wore out. I brush every night before bed, but I think the key is the firm toothbrush and the way you brush. My gums are very tight to the teeth. I needed a root canal because the chewing surface weakened or the filling wore out.

I use fg h2o2 reduced to approx 5% occasionally as a gargle which last about 1 or 2 minutes. It seems to work well topically, but it leaves the tissues tender if overused. So it may not be effective for the deep cleaning needed for those infected gums. After one month of once daily oil pulling with canola and safflower the overall health results were significant, but I had to quit because of infection in gums, eyes, headache. Today I tried a colloidal silver swishing for about 10 min, which seemed to work as my headache dissapeared within hrs and my mouth has felt fresh ever since. I am definately going to continue this.

Over-the-counter h202 is not so loaded with fillers so as to cause any harm for external use or a mouth wash, imho. Try your local health food store or pool supply store for food grade peroxide.

Also, Jim Humble recomends MMS as the most powerful mouthwash ever. If MMS has no bad effects on teeth enamel then great. I have used a 5 drop solution a couple times with very good results.

Mimi, although I have never suffered from bad breath other than occasionally I fully sympathise with your problem. Have you ever tried Chlorophyll? A while ago I took Chlorophyll on its own and then a supplement with Chlorophyll, Chlorella and Spirullina and I never had transpiration smell under my arms again after reading on this site that these supplements work well deodorizing the body. That might solve your problem..... Actually I didn't take them for that purpose but it was a nice side effect anyway! As they seem to detox the liver they might very well work for you too!

I am responding to this post because I read about the many cures using Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. I believe it could work. Scientifically it makes sense. Oil pulling only destroys S. Mutans, which are gram positive bacteria. However, it does nothing for the gram negative bacteria left behind. The gram negatives are the ones that cause the halitosis. So, by bringing the real deal, hydrogen peroxide on board, you provide a fully oxygenated environment that will destroy the gram negative bacteria.

There is a great difference in food grade H202 , and the garbage we get at the drug store. The over the counter product is full of stabilizers. Food grade peroxide SHOULD NOT BE HANDLED CARELESSLY!!!!!!!!! IT IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. YOU SHOULD RESEARCH IT FIRST, CALL THE PEROXIDE CLINIC / CENTER FIRST....... BEFORE TAKING ANY WAYWARD INTERNET ADVICE.........

BACK to my original reason for posting . I wanted to know if anyone else has tried the use of the H2o2 and what were your results. How and where did you get the food grade H2o2?

I read about one source over the internet but, it got bad reviews.... please advise ..

I have chronic gingivitis and am doing some very unsafe practices to keep it at bay.... I am a health professional and am very aware of the risks to my behaviors. I can't discontinue any of the things I am doing because this "bad breath issue is making me dysfunctional at best. So, I am desperately seeking to find someone who can dialogue with me about their experience with Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide.

Thanks in advance.

Go to any Asian grocery store an look for a upright rectangle tin can that's made in Japan, it's the best sesame oil you are going to find. They all usually have few options.

Bee Propolis
Posted by Yana (Glens Falls, Ny) on 10/02/2011

I see a lot of people here use propolis tincture for the gums. I tried that but the taste is extremely bitter and I'm worried about alcohol (sugars in alcohol) damaging tooth enamel, so I purchased PURE propolis powder. It only contains 5% maltodextrin to prevent too much clumping, so the rest 95% is propolis (not 30% like in liquid tinctures). I take a little chunk of it (approx. Size of chewing gum) and put it under my tongue overnight. It turns sticky when wet, but not drastically. As long as it's not touching teeth, it's fine and removes easily. When I wake up, I swallow what wasn't dissolved with saliva overnight (so it serves as taking propolis as a supplement as well). I have only been doing it for a week or so, but I started because I had a sore on my gum and it was gone overnight! I also get a lot fresher taste in my mouth in the mourning, like there's less bacteria building up overnight...

I am planning on having this routing to help me with gum recession, so I might post later with results on that...

I had bleeding gums for years and the hygenist always chided me about brushing more and flossing. Brushing, even with a soft toothbrush hurt a lot and flossing was worse. I failed to follow her instructions. Now you can find super soft tapered toothbrushes online or in the health food store. I finally like brushing my teeth! This has made a big difference in my gums. The super soft tapered toothbrush does not clean the teeth well enough, though, so after using the super soft toothbrush on the gum line, then I use a regular soft toothbrush for the teeth, avoiding the gum line, and a couple times a week I use an electric toothbrush over the teeth in any area that doesn't feel quite clean enough. Once again, I try to avoid the gums.

I now use a toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulfate and a rinse without alcohol. The rinse I use already has peppermint oil in it, but I add extra. As a tooth cleaner, I occassionally use calcium citrate powder with a little baking soda. Oh, and I drink my coffee with a stainless steel straw to avoid the kind of staining in the lower front teeth that I previously had.

At night before bedtime, I massage a mixture of oils into my gums.

In the past my enamel had been damaged by over the counter whiteners. They used to say that you can't regain enamel once it is damaged, but this isn't completely so. My enamel isn't as good as it once was, but it has improved from the point of the damage. It doesn't feel dry and rough anymore in the spots that had eroded. It feels smooth again, though thinner. I've tried so many things, so I can only think that it is just time and better hygene that improved the situation.

BTW, I still rarely floss. Sometimes I think it just grinds the food down further. I use a water irrigator, a gum stimulator and small interdental brushes to remove food particles that are stuck.

But I wanted to mention a couple more things. The quality of the water from our tap water is horrible in terms of bacteria. I suspect that a lot of dental problems start with the water. I use filtered or distilled water in my irrigator and add a cap full of hydrogen perioxide.

I have sinus problems and the light dawned that the gum disease and sinus drip are probably caused by the same bacteria. So it would seem that if you get rid of one problem and still have the other, you would be reinfected continously. So that's the other side of the coin I have to work on.

Seems right based on simple math. If you have 12% FG H2O2 and need to make it 3% you would divide by 4 as 4 goes into 12 3 times evenly. So therefore, 1 part 12% per 4parts water will give you 3% H202 as you have diluted it by 80%.

2 oz diluted in 8 oz give you a 1 to 4 ratio or 3%, 2.5 ozs mixed with 7.5 ozs of water will give you 3.5%. I used small measuring cups (the kind that come on cough syrup when I mixed mine for inhalation purposes. As for as oral for the mouth I do it by eye and mix about a 50/50 mix of OTC 3%. Internally I only use the FG mixture, orally not a big deal using the OTC variety.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hi,

I just recieved a bottle of 12% Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. The instructions say to dilute it to a 3.5% solution for internal use. I am reading an excellent book called "The Truth about Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide" by James Paul Roguski. It's a free ebook on the net. Excellent and surprising documented research that has been available for years. This is my first time using this and I want to be careful and not over do it. I'm trying to get a protocol for removing tartar on my teeth (and my old dogs teeth too).

If I am understanding the info it says to mix 2oz of 12% FGHP with 8oz of water and that will give me 10 oz of a 3.5% solution that is safe to use. It looks like I would be able to use that solution full strength in my mouth. Does this sound correct? Is anyone doing this that can offer some insight?

Has this been working for you? I am going to start the Cayenne Pepper, Baking Soda, Oil Pulling (Sesame Seed), Bee Propolis, and better flossing in my new regimen because the dentist pulled my gums from my teeth and they are not reattaching that quickly. I want to know if your gums are still as beautiful!

First, I want to thank eveyone for all the great advice. Some I knew and some I didn't. This is a great resource.

What finally worked for me was a dilution of 35% food grade Hydrogen Peroxide. You probably have to get this stuff online and it isn't cheap but will last for years if you keep in it in the freezer where it remains liquid.

I used one part 35% to 5 or 6 parts distilled water. I then soaked a small wad of cotton batten with the mixture and tucked it between my front lip and tooth/gum. It was 10 times more effective than the 3% peroxide! I set the timer for 10 minutes but I was still spitting (more like a controlled drool) foamy saliva and left it in for about a 1/2 hour until the foam almost disappeared. 90% of the pain is gone and I feel better all round. Yes. You will foam at the mouth and scare small children, but the foam is actually dead bacteria mixed with your saliva. Keep a glass nearby to catch the foamy saliva.

I tried oil pulling with a couple of drops of Oregano Oil but I just don't like doing it very much although I felt a little improvement.

You should also take a good immune booster to help fight off the bad bacteria that is having a party in your body. Olive Leaf Extract, or up to 20 grams(20,000 mgs.) of Vitamin C. I had a product called Immutol lying around and I've been taking 2 capsules three or four times a day.

I also swished MMS which means Miracle Mineral Supplement. It's cheap and for about $20 you get two years worth of the stuff. It cures just about everything so naturally the Feds moved in and the originator, Jim Humble, moved his whole shebang to the Dominican Republic. Go to www.miraclemineral.org to learn more about this wonderful product that has already cured thousands of people.

I have a front tooth crown that had a root canal about 14 years ago. About 8 years ago it started to "act up" on occasion and I applied Oregano Oil and/or Tea Tree Oil and in a day or so the inflammation and mild pain would go away.

Three years ago I had to leave work because not only was my tooth and gum very painful but I felt horrible all over. I guess the infection invaded my entire body. I used an EFT protocol called Faster EFT originated by Robert Smith. (He has a zillion videos on YouTube) After an hour of frenzied tapping the pain disappered and I felt normal. Amazing.

Problem is Faster EFT didn't work for me last year -- or this. Drat! But, watch some of his videos -- it's free and easy to learn.

By the way, I do not sell anything and I have no financial interest in any products.
