Colds and Allergies

My children usually get sick at the beginning of the spring and the beginning of fall... most likely allergies. They also usually get whatever sickness is going around school. For the last year, I've been successfully giving my 6 and 8 year olds 500 mgs of vitamin c under the recommendation from the Linus Pauling Foundation. They love the chewables (ascorbic acid). They havent gotten sick AT ALL in that time. Meanwhile, my 13 year old has gotten broncitis and pneumonia who refuses to take the vitamin c. I've been trying to get her to take the vitamin c but she is not big into the taste of the chewables and doesn't like taking pills. Everytime she gets sick, I try to reason with her that the other two are not getting sick anymore, and in fact, NONE of us are, so why is she the only one in our house getting sick?? It used to go from one of us to the next and the next like a domino effect. Now, it's just her.( My husband and I take 2000 mg of Vitamin C per day, also recommeded by the Linus Pauling Institute)

Hi Bridget,

My impression is that the writer is referring to sodium ascorbate which has a higher pH that is closer to the blood pH than ascorbic acid. It is considered a more alkaline type of vitamin C and is sometimes referred to as buffered vitamin C.

High Cholesterol

I was reading where high Cholesterol can be fixed by taking 3000-5000 mg of vitamin C per day. The theory is cholesterol attaches itself to lesions in your blood vessels. The Vitamin C repairs the lesions thus allowing the body to flush the cholesterol that is not needed naturally. Further the articles stated Cholesterol is needed to heal nerves that get damaged. The statin drugs stop the body from making cholesterol thus the nerves don't get healed. I took a fall 2 years ago and no one can figure out why I am in pain. I have been on statin drugs for 4 years. My theory is I damaged nerves in the fall and the lack of cholesterol is not allowing my nerves to heal. I weaned myself off the Lipitor. And am taking 1500 mg 3 times a day of vitamin C. I don't know if it will work I hope so. But I have noticed my memory is getting better

I think my allergies are much better using Vitamin C, as Calcium Ascorbate I was recommended. I have had a bit of issues adapting to 1/2 tsp of the powder (with a bit of stomach discomfort, cramping) so I cut back to just the 1/4 tsp. Doing ok so far, haven't noticed a big difference in the occasional heart palpitation. Just when I feel sort of anxious it happens. Vit C has helped others with A-fib so thought I'd try it. Plus other ways of relaxing, healthy ways :) I got the 500mg Now brand and I just do it 2 times a day, morning and night.

I do not remember exactly, but it was less than a month. I have recently tried cutting back to 3gm. A small amount of pain has returned -- nothing major, but I will return to using 6gm. Two grams, 3 times a day.

Could Vitamin C Be the Cure for Deadly Infections?-By Jim Morrison-SMITHSONIAN.COM -Dr. Paul Marik, chief of the pulmonary and critical care medicine unit at Eastern Virginia Medical School is using Vit C I.V.'s to save people from dying from Sepsis. Works for colds, flu and pneumonia too. So far, he's treated more than 150 patients with the protocol and he says only one has died from sepsis.

Lypospheric Vitamin C

I'm a lurker on these sites and this is the first time I've posted a comment...anywhere!

I've followed the online recipe and been successful with every batch of lypospheric vitamin C for 2.5 months now. I found the recipe clear and concise and living rurally, I order my supplies online and do use an ultrasonic machine. I take 14 oz. over 24 hours.

When I first started with C I was experiencing general malaise, low energy, pain throughout my body, brain fog and a general depression. For years I was "Wonder Woman" but slowly losing my steam, and have no doubt I was experiencing adrenal fatigue, as well, my thyroid levels were low (I'm on synthroid) and as my body burden (heavy metal toxicity) grew my energy levels dropped.

I did see the ND 6 weeks ago and was told to keep doing what I was doing with the vit C.

After the first week on C I added lypo glutathione, 4 Tbsp. daily, for seven weeks, at which time my bowel tolerance for the LG told me enough. I reduced to 1 Tsp. LG and now have stopped LG.

Being a brave soul and enjoying the benefits of increased energy, a pain free body and clearer, more positive thinking (after 10 years of pain, being Wonder Woman I've had my share of wrecks) I am now ready to address the life time of allergies that I came with. And so I have added MSM to my cocktail and after 3 weeks of LypoC and MSM water I am noticing that my allergies are still present but I am experiencing significantly less of a reaction.

I can also report that my skin is soft, my eyes are clear and sparkling and I have thicker, fuller hair and my nail beds are a nice, healthy pink, my massage therapist sees me monthly and she commented that my muscles are more flexible.

I see the ND next week and am excited about my results, life can only get better! I am continuing my 14 oz. of vit C and MSM. I'll have a 6 month blood work check done next.

I appreciate the Lypo C information provided for those of us wanting to take our health into our own hands, I'm 62 and feel empowered and healthier than I have in years!

Lypospheric Vitamin C
Posted by Wayseeker (Modesto, Ca/ Usa) on 10/17/2012

I finally jumped in with both feet into doing high dose spherically encoated lyposomal "Vit. C". Doing my due dilligence to be an informed consumer, I stumbled across some amazing facts.

Linus Pauling, of Vit. C fame, wrote a forward to a 1982 book, The Healing Factor, by Irwin Stone. Older books often hold outstanding information. I found this book free, online, in its entirety.

What we call Vit. C is actually more of a neccesary nutrient / elemental co-factor / enzyme process. It has its own precursor to the formation of Vit. C, which actually then takes place within the body.

This originating substance is what they are calling the healing factor. This vital enzyme is called L-gulonolactone oxidase, and it converts glucose into Vit. C within the body.

We lack the gene, or it has mutated, that allows us to simply produce Vit. C all by itself, as most animals do. So, we need the outside food sources to set this process in motion. And it is not merely something with a minumum daily requirement... Enough to keep us from the edge of death by scurvy... But a great deal more is required in order to actually restore us to health. Virtually the whole world is on the bare edge of scurvy!

I was shocked to read the symptoms of scurvy, and compare them with my own presenting probems. By my reading I have determined, based on all my symptoms, that I have been suffering wih a chronic, medium-grade, scurvy.

The deep bone ache and numbness in my legs, the bloodshot dry eyes, blood in stools, broken blood vessels causing red hands and neck, poor circulation, and the list went on and on.

I had been to top level neurologists at Kaiser, only to find that their initial diagnosis of peripheral neuropathy was proven wrong. That was all they could say.

I simply could not believe how much better I feel already, just 24 hours into a four-day high-dose run, to redress my longstanding, and deep, Vit. C deficiency. Smashing success! Healing miracles!

A word to the wise is sufficient. Blessings. --T.

To Wendy in London (several years later...)

I take MANY grams of vitamin C every day, and have to take ascorbic acid powder (I put it in capsules because it will dissolve your teeth, as it did my parents') -- I cannot tolerate the sodium in sodium ascorbate, and neither that nor calcium ascorbate or others "pack enough punch" to do what I need, which is to stop edema. I just want to say here that over the years of taking ascorbic acid powder I have checked different sources and noticed that when GMO corn became prevalent (I think it was in the 1990s) I ran into ascorbic acid powder that gave me stomach aches, and had to seek out sources that claimed to be purified of all traces of corn -- Nutribiotic brand USED TO be made in the US and claimed like "16 stages of purification" on its label, with a big NO GMO sign. For a couple of years now, however, it is apparently mfrd in China, so I am wary, but it seems ok for me -- but Bronson makes a powder that seems the same to me, and is considerably cheaper.

Vitamin C Wonders

Hi Karen from Texas. I think Linus Pauling did real well making it to age 93 with prostate cancer as this kind cancer is very unique. It developed in a unique way and is driven by sex hormones. What I think this means is that, when it come to prostate cancer Vitamin C is not enough. Maybe niacin should be added as well as certain minerals. The last and maybe most important item is omega-3 in the form of very fresh flax seed oil. Johanna Budwig said that humans have the greatest need for daily omega-3 over any other animal on the planet and that we need several times as much as any other animal. I think the problem here is that when we have a medical community that likes to do it the way they do it and doesn't want change we will see no change. My PSA has been high and my Urologist is sure he is going to find cancer. I have been through every kind of test he has to offer without showing anything. I have a very large but healthy prostate. I recently found an essential oil when applied to my perineum helps to reduces the size of it a little at a time.

Excitotoxins in Vitamin C

WARNING!

The below article was originally published in our June, 2011 e-newsletter.

-----------------------------------

We like Vitamin C for a lot of things, from prevention to post-infection treatment. That's why we're concerned about the popularity of certain hyped Vitamin C products. A natural cold and flu remedy would be great, but what sort of extra baggage is hitching a ride on these packs of Vitamin C supplements? Turns out, a pair of unnecessary ingredients, aspartic acid (or asparagine) and sucralose, are often tagging along. You may have to look into the fine print of the ingredients list, but you'll be surprised at how often they show up.

L-aspartic acid is one of our non-essential amino acids. The body makes it, so we don't need to get it from our diets. We definitely need it for energy creation, nerve function, and a host of other bodily activities. But like most good things, too much can be bad. In excess, aspartic acid becomes an excitotoxin, revving the neurons and nervous system up so high that nerve damage can be a result. In effect, excitotoxins cause our neurons to die from excitement!

In fact, if the facts behind Aspartame make you uncomfortable, aspartic acid is a large part (40%) of the reason. In our bodies, this artificial sweetener breaks down into phenylalanine, methanol, and aspartic acid. Methanol is just plain toxic, but the overdose of amino acids can likewise do great harm. Sucralose (Splenda) is of course much the same thing as Aspartame-an artificial sweetener. This one mostly passes out of the body without being metabolized, but some 15-20% does not pass out of the body immediately. Since sucralose is an organochloride (an organic chlorine compound), many of us are justifiably concerned about the possibility of introducing free chlorine molecules into our bloodstream and tissues. Makes you nostalgic for good old belly-expanding glucose!

Since the liver can produce aspartic acid whenever bodily levels are low, we never experience true aspartic acid deficiencies, so there is no need to get it through supplements. Easy then, we won't take aspartic acid supplements. That is, unless we don't know it's there in our other supplements! Now, weight lifting supplements often contain aspartic acid along with a medley of the other amino acids, so there is an issue there. However, for the Earth Clinic community we're more concerned about products like Ester-C (the brand) and Emergen-C, both of which add aspartic acid to their Vitamin C supplements. Just check out the Other Ingredients on the fine print on this ingredients list to see for yourself.

Products advertised as energy boosters frequently contain aspartic acid, as do whey powder products. Airborne and Super C Vitamin C products do not seem to use aspartic acid (please do not read that as a general endorsement); however, Airborne and Super C do contain sucralose as a sweetener, as do FRS Healthy Energy products.

Additionally, you're likely to find aspartic acid in these products:

  • Various collagen formulas
  • _____ Liquid Aminos
  • Many potassium-magnesium supplements
  • Many folic acid tablets
  • Many lipoic acid supplements
  • Many Nature's Plus products
  • Some Solgar vitamin supplements
  • Some Nutritech supplements

Now, plenty of foods naturally contain aspartic acid as well, and the body is happy to find it there. It is nature-made, not man-made (unlike sucralose). We don't want to alarm anyone, just let you know what you're potentially putting in your body. Toxic levels of this amino acid are definitely possible, so take a look at your supplement labels and make the best choice for your own health.

The following Earth Clinic reader contributions (and a note from Ted) should help you make the decision that is right for you.

Vitamin C and Excitotoxins

Catherine from Seattle, WA writes: "I was fighting a sinus infection last week after landing in California and went to a Whole Foods to get some Vitamin C. I decided to get Emergen-C to add to water because it had a really tempting fruity flavor. Immediately after taking my first packet (which was delicious), I felt a weird sensation in my head and then I got really edgy (as in bad mood edgy). I read the ingredients on the box and sure enough, the vitamin C used in this brand is Aspartic acid, an excitotoxin. The Emergen-C also contained "natural flavors", aka MSG. I waited 24 hours and tried again to see if I would have the same side effects. Again, within a minute of drinking the packet, I got the same sensation in my head. My question is, are you doing more good or harm to the body when you take this form of vitamin c?!!"

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "Aspartic acid is a well known excitotoxin and so is monosodium glutamate or MSG. In the long run it's going to destroy the immune system through a neurodegenerative disorder. Once the excitotoxin is destroyed the immune system is down. Now in a pharmaceutical formulation adding this results in the need to take that since you get sicker and so you might feel some relief, the long term is it's going to make a person sicker, which result in greater sales for product with excitotoxins added. Now imagine a child who is a borderline autism, ADHD, these can result in many other neurodegenerative disorders and metabolic acidosis. As for me decades ago I took accidentally soft drinks with aspartame resulting in deafness, but also a permanent partial macular degeneration of the eyes. So the systematic destruction is almost wholesale if given long term use. Luckily Emergen C is not sold in Thailand, although some friends of mine have given me this, I don't take it. I prefer to buy bulk vitamin C and mix them myself. There are other excitotoxins, but aspartic acid, aspartame, monosodium glutamate, and glutamic acid are the most well known...

Therefore most effervescent products sometimes they are not labeled so I ended up calling the factory sometimes. One easy way to measure excitotoxin poisoning is that the urinary pH suddenly become very acid, such as pH 5.5 or lower and even taking more baking soda barely raise the pH long enough to be satisfactory. Such as it can't raise the pH for the entire day. It also takes weeks for the pH to be near normal after taking b complex and baking soda for a week or two. A long term taking of this can also resulted in higher urinary sugar and damaged pancreas, besides damaging the brain. One of the worse advertisement I have seen is Michael J. Fox supporting Diet Pepsi, which contains aspartame, and he himself has Parkinson's disease, which will make such conditions much worse. The remedy is not to take aspartame for Parkinson's disease or to undergo stem cells, since it's not yet legal at the moment and stem cell research has been blocked for at least 8 years. Methylene blue taken at 2 drops at 0.1% concentration might reverse some of the effects of excitotoxins as it is one of my remedies for Parkinson's disease also.

Taking excitotoxins is a long term damage that may lead to degenerative disorders, metabolic acidosis, and lowered immune system. Therefore I would avoid them as best as I can.

Ted"

Supplements Brought on Rage

Wes from Webster, TX writes: "I'm 220 and work out almost everyday. I started taking 2000mg of vitamin C. Ester C tablets. A few days later I noticed I was very easily enraged. I did this for about 4 weeks and decided it wasn't worth it. I recently started taking and animal pack vitamin package. After taking for several days I noticed the same effect. Read the ingredient 2000 mg Vitamin C. So I stopped taking it. Is there anyway to counteract the aggressiveness. IE some other vitamin."

Christine replies: "This afternoon, I visited your site and noted a comment by a reader who said that Ester C made him enraged. It's not the Vitamin C, it's the aspartic acid in the Ester C product. I verified this with an aspartame activist. Aspartic acid is an excitotoxin, a poison that kills brain cells. Yep, it's the same stuff as in aspartame. All of the studies done on Vitamin C were done with sodium ascorbate, which is a type of chemically buffered Vitamin C. It's best to take it as a powder in water, because you can get gastritis if you take too many pills."

Excitotoxins in Vitamin C

Hey, I don't usually post on things like this, however, I just looked at the ester-c bottle (again, because of the article), there is no aspartic acid in it. In fact, there is nothing harmful in it, which is why we purchased it. I do agree with not taking the emergen-c though. It is also beneficial to note that they don't use the healthiest form of B-12 either. It should be Methelcobalamin and not cyanocobalamin. I have researched my like crazy to figure out the B-12 deficiency cure. It's B-12 paste in the nose a couple times a week. Back to vitamin C, it is EXTREMELY beneficial to take at least 10,000mg a day if you have allergies. They will be gone in weeks. My wife's allergy doctor said she was allergic to herself. Ha ha. She became allergic to probably every fruit or vegetable that had any birch pollen on it.

We found a site called doctoryourself. Com, and followed his advice about taking vitamin C, and she is cured after only about 3 weeks. Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Be blessed in your efforts to aid in healthy remedies.

Which is the best kind of vitamin C one can take? Is it normal one, is it Ester-C or something else? Pills, powder, solvable? And although many books advise quite high doses of Vitamin C there are experts, including my homeopathic doctor who believe that it can help cancer develop. Is this true?

Hi Francisca, I bought Vitamin C as ascorbic powder from Trader Joe's. I mix one fourth of the powder with equal amount of baking soda in a little water. Once it stops fizzing, I add more water and drink it up. This is according to recipes posted here in EC. I started this three weeks ago. I didn't buy Vitamin C in pill form because of fillers, additives, etc. I'm planning to continue having a glass of this all through winter to keep colds, sinus and flu attacks away!

Ascorbic acid is a patented form of vitamin C. There are actually several patents for producing ascorbic acid. The health claim is that it is more digestible and there is more bioactive vitamin and antioxidant content. Citric acid is an acid used primarily for food preservation. It does contain some vitamins and antioxidants, but not enough to make it valuable to health.

Asthma, Allergies

Hi Elaine,

I'm aware this is a very old post, but I am so thankful to hear someone else validate that Sodium Ascorbate causes massive bruises on legs. I prefer to take buffered Vitamin C and was taking Sodium Ascorbate to tolerance on multiple occasions to help with chronic constipation. Multiple times over the years, I'll end up with a bruise on my calf between the size of a golf ball and a baseball and I never understood why that was happening, but was almost certain it was from the Vitamin C Sodium Ascorbate.

Here's another theory. As I haven't tried Vitamin C ascorbic acid in high doses because it irritates my stomach, I do wonder if the reason for the bruising could be because true Vitamin C from citrus fruits also contains Bioflavonoids.

Per the book, "The Ultimate Healing Guide" by Donald LePore N.D., Rutin and other bioflavonoids like Hesperidin and Quercitin are actually known as Vitamin P and are often recommended to those that bruise easily. Vitamin P is called the capillary permeability factor. (P stands for permeability).

The prime function of bioflavonoids is to increase capillary strength and regulate absorption. Bioflavonoids prevent capillary hemorrhaging and stop the appearance of purplish or blue spots of bruising on the skin. Bioflavonoids work synergistically with Vitamin C and prevent Vitamin C from being destroyed by oxidation. Bioflavonoids also help build resistance to infection. (That's interesting to me as I read from pg. 47 of his book, because we're always told Vitamin C is an Antioxidant, but maybe it is only an antioxidant when accompanied by the natural bioflavonoids that are present in fruit.?)

He says, Bioflavonoids help to alleviate: Hypertension, respiratory infection, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, hemorrhages of the retina, radiation sickness, arteriosclerosis, coronary thrombosis and helps in the treatment of edema and dizziness due to disease of the inner ear.

Thank you for helping me to realize that without Bioflavonoids being taken when taking Vitamin C, that is likely the most logical reason why I constantly get major bruising on my calves when I take large doses. Thank you Elaine!

Hello Everyone. I love Earthclinic, thanks to all for this great source of information. I have been struggling with skin related conditions, on my face and especially on my hands for over 3 years. Last night I tried the vitamin C and aloe vera mix, and I am happy to report that it has helped me greatly. Here is a little background of my problem, for which I have been to several doctors and have used a number of medications and remedies. Every time I think I have figured out what it is and start using a remedy with some level of success, the condition changes, for example, I identify something as ringworm and start treating it, soon, I see warts and then, as I treat the warts, something similar to ringworm starts spreading all over my hands, but know it does not not have the characteristic round pattern of ringworm. I am convinced that it is immune system related, it itches like crazy and the little blisters/wounds ooze some clear liquid. I have noticed that it worsens during winter. Last night it got to a point in which I could not stand the itching and discomfort, so I searched here and decided to try mixing aloe vera (leaf) and vitamin C powder (sodium ascorbate) and rub it on my hands really well, in addition, I took 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder, and 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper. I am happy to report that the itching stopped almost instantly and the blisters seem to be starting to heal.

I have used vitamin c for years for bleeding gums, bad nosebleeds and any other bleeding problems. I either take a stress vitamin with 500vit c or just a vit. c by itself -preferably a chewable one. Especially during menopause -taking 500 vit c every 3-4 hours will stop hemoraging and blot clots and normalize the flow. You must take it every 3-4 hrs. or it will start up again. It is better if at least one of the doses is a stress b vit with 500 added vit.c in it. I fell and hit my head on a concrete wall and opened a 4 inch gapin my scalp with excessive bleeding. I chewed 2 500 vit. c and immediately the bleeding completely stopped, helping me on the inside and outside of my head. I didn't have to have any drainage from fluid buildup inside my head and the wound healed very fast. Vit c normalizes the blood-helps with blood clots that are already there to help dissolve them and is so important is excessive bleeding that no one should ever go to the dentist or go into surgery without taking it if you bleed easily. It could save your life. I used to literally take a sheet to bed with me after haveing a tooth pulled to wipe the blood on. After I learned about vit c and took it before i went to the dentist, the bleeding stopped before I got off the parking lot. I really think I could have even done better without the cotton! Hope this helps someone keep from having an hysterectomy or other complications. I have used vit c for these things for over 30 years. I don't take it on a regular basis, mostly if I get sick with a cold or stomach flu which about 10 grams -I take it in peanut butter and syrup- the powdered vit c. Take 2 doses about a hour apart sometimes will kill stomach flu completely out if you catch it in time. Thanks.

I ran across your request for vitamin C allergies. I experience bloating and weight when I take it and I don't know why. I've tried chewable forms, ascorbic acid, and calcium ascorbate. I also have similar reactions with other vitamins I've tried. I thought it might be a hidden filler or preservative. I have Graves Disease and am trying natural remedies. I started taking increased doses of Vitamin C a number of years ago at my doctor's recommendation for a tendency to bruise easily. One of the other unexpected benefits is that my sinuses cleared up. I used to wake up sneezing and would continue throughout the morning, sometimes through the entire day, year round. After experimenting with different dosages, I am now on a maintenance level of 2000 mg of Vitamin C daily and this keeps my allergies under control usually 50-51 weeks out of the year. Occasionally, I may have a flare-up and need something else. When that happens, I stir 1 teaspoon of ground Turmeric into an 8 oz. glass of water and drink it. Within 15 minutes, I am breathing freely once again and no more sneezing!

How to Make Lypospheric Vitamin C
Posted by Stephanie (Long Valley, Nj) on 08/13/2016

Dear Timh and earth clinic,

Can you help me with the directions for the Lyposheric Vit C? I have tried to make it twice. The first time I used soy lecithin.

Then I read it should be sunflower lecithin. So the 2nd time I tried with sunflower lecithin. It is watery, and I think it should be more like eggnog consistency? Which lecithin do you use? Soy or sunflower? Also, is this correct, or can you suggest a better way?:

I heated a cup of distilled water, put 3T lecithin powder in it, stirred with a wood spoon. Let it sit in the mug for 3 hours. Then heated 1/2 cup distilled water and put 1T sodium ascorbate, stirred with a wood spoon. Let it sit for 3 hours. Then put them both together in the nutribullet for about 20 seconds. Then poured it into the ultrasonic cleaner. Turned it on, stirred with wood spoon, then closed the lid and kept turning it on for a total of 20 minutes, stirring for about a minute, every 5minutes, then closing the lid in between. Then after 20 minutes I poured it into a glass jar and put it in the refrigerator.

Then I took a tsp of it this morning. Did I make it correctly? What should I do differently? And also should I use ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate? Next question, my liver is in bad shape. I think I should do a liver cleanse. I just finished today the parasite cleanse that you mentioned: a bottle of black walnut herbal combination by n atures a nswer.

My right side is swollen and sore still from an injury, but also my organs weren't doing well to begin with because of the Lymes, etc.

I appreciate your advice, and knowledge, I know you told me to make the Vit C a long time ago, it just took me a while, but yay!

I am finally making it! Just need your guidance. Thank you, hope things are a bit better for you today! -Steph

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Going into an area (Lypospheric Vitamin C) that I have no clue except what I've read. I have done many Vit C IV's but this is supposed to be more better and you can do it at home. I got all the stuff to getter done. All I need to do is to do it.

Can any of you birds shed any light on this subject? Will give you a few days and then I take the plunge. Hey, I'm on the shady side of the mountain so what have I got to lose?

What make me so sad about this site is that most just want others to tell them what to do. Few take charge and research and tell others. It's like Limbaugh says, the 51% want the 49 % to take care of them.

I'll keep playing this game and if I learn something I'll tell all. That means I don't have to help pay your medical bill.

RH: I started the Lipo-C last Sept w/ very good results, but I didn't stop there. 1 part Vit-C plus 1/2 part Rutin + 1/2 Quercetin is the ultimate -Vit-C benefit. The Quercetin in particular is a powerful cellular energizer.

Also topping the list for LET of nutrients is the combo of Reduced Glutathione 1 part and CoQ10 or Ubiquinol 1/2 parts. This combo is best when taking Vit-E (mixed Tocotreinols & Tocopherols) plus adequate Selenium (Brazil Nuts is very good source).

I like to rotate these two combinations on a daily basis as one is water soluble and the other fat soluble antioxidants, so this is most beneficial. Also the Quercetin and CoQ10 will major raise your energy levels, so you can go back to climbing your side of the mountain.

No, I keep the GTH and Vit-C as a separate mix. The C mix I do just like you except I like to add some citrus bioflavonoids like Rutin & Quercetin. For the GTH I am using small amounts w/ added NAC + Glycine + Glutamine to combine w/ either a measure of ALA or CoQ10. One might not even need the NAC for combining w/ ALA because Thioctic Acid has a main sulfur molecule. Presumably the Glycine & Glutamine combined w/ ALA LET's will make for a very good Glutathione precursor.

Until I run out of the Reduced Glutathione I really can't tell how well these other amino's are doing in the job of boosting GTH. It is also very important to have adequate Selenium for the body to manufacture Glutathione. 1 grm NAC orally plus 3mg Melatonin before retiring is also a major GTH booster.

It is also important to mention that Vit-C and Selenium are antagonistic to one another as water soluble antioxidants, so after you do your initial Vit-C saturation period, it may prove worthwhile to rotate w/ your other LET nutrients on an every-other-day basis.

I haven't the wherewithal to match your good humor, as I have been to long in the lonely dog house singing the blues. If I ever do get on my feet again I suppose I would move earth & sky for a good woman.

R.H. Good to see you're on your way w/ the Lipo; it's been nearly a yr for me and has been very instrumental in keeping me above ground, what w/ an environmental illness from hell and all.

Dr Sinatra (leading cardiologist here in the usa) has recently helped his son overcome a debilitating EMF related illness and maybe wrote a book on it (not sure) but some articles and videos for sure. Optimizing antioxidant nutrition seems the best method of protection for sensitivities.

Anyway, I tried my first batch of LET Pure Trans Resveratrol 50% and Grapeseed Extract 50%. WOW! The most powerful antioxidant I've ever taken, w/ the exception of Melatonin and Lutein. I had much pathogen die off and kidney stress that I have needed to treat plus digestive irritation. I have only taken 3 doses and the last dose indicated the worst may be over and then some real healing can occur. My body is so toxic that I must go slow; have taken 2 days off and will dose again tomorrow.

Hello Nickie

LET is Liposomal Encapsulation Technology.

On the "state of affairs" previous post may I also include "Epitaph" by King Crimson, "Rust Never Sleeps" by Neil Young, and "what's going on, what's going on, I really don't believe what's going on" by Al Stewart.

Your concern is very much appreciated and I wish you strength & courage in your journey.

Hi Mama, I have Nutrigold Vitamin C that says it is food based certified organic, Non-GMO and non-synthetic, 240 mg per capsule. It shows the plant ingredients and the only other ingredient is a Non-GMO plant cellulose capsule. Unless this isn't true, it seems to be free of the things discussed in the referenced article. Best wishes.

I would never advise using lypospherics with any other supplement especially if it's stored in the body. Vitamin C is NOT stored! Much ill health is what is in you that should NOT be ... and what is not in you that should!

C is a chelator ..It helps remove bad stuff as well as oxygenates! All parasites, viruses, and bad bacteria are anaerobic, oxygen hating, and every cell in the body processes oxygen! The issue is that vitamin C degrades as soon as you take it, and ordinary C has to go through the damaging digestive system. Liposomal enters the blood directly ... does not pass through the gut!
