Cayenne Pepper Health Benefits: Unlocking Capsaicin's Power

Infections

Cayenne pepper has cured all the infections I have tried it on, even sinus or intestinal ones. Some people seem to be more sensitive whether on their skin or internally. I saw a guy on a travel show and ate hot peppers in Mexico, and 2 hrs later he said he was still burning.

Only problem that hot pepper gives me is that I will hiccup if it is too hot, or I eat too much at once. It must send my esophagus into spasms, but they don't last long and eating bread will stop them or the burning in my mouth. I was really concerned when I wanted to try it up my nose for completely blocked sinuses, but I was desperate, so I diluted it a Lot more than I would gargle with, and had the phone handy to call 911, to call the fire dept, to have them put a hose up my nose.)) I thought hard about the risks, but never heard any warnings, even for putting in the eyes for eye problems. It will burn, and I have gotten some in my eyes, but the burn doesn't last. Inhaling the dry, powdered pepper will make you sneeze like Never before.

Anyone worried about using hot pepper should do a search. There is a lot of info and products for sale, even for the sinuses. I even cured a urinary tract infection in 2 days. There I boiled the cayenne and salt which I always add to the mix, and think it helps, and it Tastes better.) I boiled the mix to get whatever does the curing, capsaicin, oils, or what, into solution, since I didn't think the pepper particles would get to or go through my bladder.

Whenever there is a problem whether infection or pain, just try to figure how to get the cayenne to the site, or even like the bronchial tubes. It will draw heat to the site, increasing blood flow and blood and the lymph fluid in us carries white cells, that does healing. They sell Mustard plasters that do the same things, and they have been around for ages. Vince F

Hi I just wanted to tell people two great ways to avoid frostbite in such cold conditions. I have found that putting cayenne powder or pepper in your shoes or socks can help prevent frostbite and warm up your feet. Also I have found that aloe heals the burning faster.

Cysts

Hello, I have almost a cure for a Pilonidal cyst. The reason I say almost is it will come back in usually about 10 months to a year, and then you will need to repeat the steps again. I came across it from another person who has suffered from this health problem and has been through many surgeries with no help. I myself have been through one surgery in which the cyst came back a year later. The cure is to put cayenne pepper mixed with water in the sinus opening of the cyst for 3-4 days straight using an eye dropper with a narrow end. The solution should be 1 heaping teaspoon of pepper in a cup of water used over the 3-4 day period. This does sting quite a bit for the first minute or two after the pepper is injected but subsides afterwards. Note: you will probably need someone to do it for you to really get the solution in the sinus. I've read this works because the sting of the pepper brings a rush of white blood cells to the area, not sure if that is true or not, but it worked for me. Of course check with your doctor before doing anything. I'd also be interested if anyone else has found other ways to deal with this issue.

Cayenne Pepper is a real cure for pains on the chest. Each time I get the tired pains that spread across my chest into my neck, jaw and shoulders I immediately head for the Cayenne Pepper, take 1 teaspoon in any liquid preferably in juice or milk. It instantly feeds the heart muscle of Vit C. I would honestly recommend this to heart sufferers. It works for me and should for you! Thanks to Earth Clinic for all their advice and remedies. God bless you all!

I have used all sorts of strange things for candida the only two things that have seemed to work are cayenne pepper and a colon cleanse -- you're supposed to use the colon cleanse for three mths but I only used it for one. But I will let you know.

I tried the pepper one day after reading all about dif. cures and realized oh yeah parasites come along with candida so you have to kill those off too!!! and cayenne pepper is a great thing for that. I had a really bad metallic taste in my mouth, got dehydrated and confused my eyes were foggy like I'd been swimming in chlorine so I tried the pepper and it knocked it out almost immediately!!! I should probably do a metal cleanse and a kidney cleanse also!!!

I sliced my finger cutting a hard sticky candy from the dominican republic my in laws brought. It wouldn't stop bleeding so I ran cold water on my thumb and then opened a capsul of cayenne. The cut hurt so much it was hours before I felt the pain of the pepper. I did end up going to a walk in clinic for stitches, but the bleeding stopped and it ended up not being that deep. The dr and nurse were jerks about my desion ofcourse. When i got home trying to clean up i cut my middle finger of the same hand. ( that was not smart) the cayenne helped then too. That was Friday, this is Wednesday my cuts look 3 weeks old now.

Hemorrhaging

Cayenne is NOT unsafe per one of your feedback customers. I recently found your website in some research I am doing on Cayenne and Lymph but was a little disconcerted to see that you published someone's testimonial warning others not to use cayenne if they do not want their blood thinned.

Posted by Amy (New Haven, CT) on 02/18/2007: Love your site but wanted to let you know that the reason you are supposed to stop taking cayenne pepper before surgery has nothing whatsoever to do with inflammation (which in most cases it doesn't cause anyhow). The reason is that Cayenne Pepper is a very effective blood thinner and so, like aspirin, you don't take it prior to surgery, to ensure minimal blood loss.

Cayenne is used in midwifery and in other instances when needed to stop hemorrhaging, and has the ability to correct and balance both ends of many circulation issues. It will assist in dissolving clots as well as stopping bleeding, and it will -- over time -- correct both high and low blood pressure.

I suggest to all readers that when it comes to benefits and contraindications of herbs and medications, that they exhaustive research, or at least more than they think is necessary, to discover what they need to know for their particular situation or those for whom they are caring.

Acid Reflux, Heartburn

On the subject of acid reflux and heartburn, I have all but eliminated it after 20 or so years of suffering.

I used to keep a large bottle of Tums with me at all times. The acid reflux was horrible, waking me up in bed with searing pain in my throat and gasping for air, not knowing if this would be the end. The choking went on for half an hour or more. Milk, more Tums, water, juice, nothing gave instant relief.

Like magic, after about three months, I had lost almost all of the symtoms of the acid reflux and heartburn. You can cure yourself easily if you are determined. It will take perseverence and patience and will gradually go from bad to good in three months or so.

Cayenne Pepper is the answer!

Now on a regular basis I take from one to two heaping tablespoons of granulated cayenne with my meals. Not on any cereal though! Usually if you can start off with a litle and work up to a large dose like I did, it will become easy and things after a while will not seem to taste right without it.

I am so happy I don't use Tums anymore and I don't have stomach problems. I would encourage anyone to read about "cayenne pepper healing effects."

Do a Google search and you will be surprised at what you read about its healing effects. I get my cayenne from a wholesale club in bulk containers. I use Tone's ground cayenne pepper and it is about $4.00 for a 1 LB container. That should last you about six months or more.

Good luck and remember, you will have to get used to the heat or it won't work.

In addition to taking the cayenne pepper, don't go to sleep on a full stomach. Give it 3 or 4 hours before you go to sleep.

Hello, I've been visiting your site for a while, but I would like to be added to the "YEA'S" on a few home remedies.

Cayenne Pepper for Sore Throat. This is how I first found your site. Nothing is worse than a sore throat, last year I had a killer sore throat with no other symptoms. After reading about cayenne pepper I decided to gargle it. Gargling a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in about 6 oz of warm water every couple of hours did a great job of healing my sore throat really quickly. However it was really nasty and made me dry heave a couple times. I just discovered a new sore throat yesterday. This time I am simply warming up about a cup of water in the microwave, adding some honey for taste, and dashing in a good amount of cayenne pepper (3-4 dashes). I am not gargling with it, because I'm just not good at gargling, So I let each sip sit in the back of my mouth a bit and then I swallow it. It actually taste pretty good. It's like tea with a little kick!

Apple Cider Vinegar for Acne. My wife has always had trouble spots for acne right on her cheek next to her ears. Apple Cider Vinegar is the only thing that has had a real effect. She applies it once or twice a day, with a cotton ball. Great results. We also just received Apple Cider Vinegar capsule that we can take to avoid drinking it. They are available at GNC, but we order them online for cheaper.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Sunburn. I recently went boating and got sunburn on both my ankles from sitting funny. When I got home both ankles seemed to have about the same amount of burn, however the right ankle was hurting me slightly more at the time. I decided to try an experiment. I applied Apple Cider Vinegar to only my right ankle and left the left ankle untreated. I simply applied Apple cider vinegar with a Cotton ball 2 or 3 times a day. After the first night, my right ankle was in a great deal less pain than my left ankle. I kept applying it to my right ankle and by the second day there was no pain at all, while my left ankle was severely painful and sensitive to touch. I stopped applying apple cider vinegar to my right ankle after about 3 days because it just didn't hurt. My left ankle continued to hurt until day 7 when it the skin started peeling. The skin on my right ankle did not start peeling until day 9. Everyone should try this to convince themselves that Apple Cider Vinegar really works!

I began reading about cayenne pepper and acv after realizing the pills i take for my heart, high bp, circulation and high colesterol were not working. B4 i started drinking the cayenne pepper tea i could not walk a half a block. Now, i can walk for one mile and my leg does not hurt. I have had heart attack, two leg by-pass surgeries. My energy level is great and I just can't believe my leg does not hurt. I also went to the doctor after not taking my bp medicine for 5 days and drinking the tea 2-3 times a day. Usually if i go that long w/out my medicine, my bp is sky high. This time my bp was norman. I mean normal. I was amazed. I still take my fluid pill to release those fluids but I feel great. thx ever so much

Hello everyone. This is what I know about cayenne pepper... big zero except that my husband shaves his head and one time he cut himself and like most guys was walking around with a little piece of toilet paper on his head. I remembered reading that cayenne was not only good For my spaguetti sauce but if you apply it to a cut it stopped the bleeding. He did that and it stopped. Another time he did it again and used the cayenne right away and it worked. I don't think I would try it on a deep cut but I know it works on a cut when shaving. Again, I must say this site is really interesting and well made. Sue
