I used frankincense essential oil for months after having removed with a needle the transparent fluid. I thought it had success but it came back. I started again using frankincense essential oil and covering it with a wrist bandaid at night in order not to evaporate. No result at all even after many months and even though I massaged the area a lot.

Has anyone who stopped using a computer mouse with that hand any success by doing that? For example not growing the cyst back after sucking the fluid.

If you aspirate them they can come right back. This article says after 2 weeks if frankincense does not work try another remedy. Try aspercreme or surgery to remove it. Or aspirate it again, the chance of permanent removal rises after 3 times.

I have a ganglion cyst on my index finger joint. I have applied frankincense oil on the cyst for 7 days, 3 times a day. The cyst HAS NOT gone away nor has it even reduced in size. I am disappointed considering all the great reviews listed below. I will continue this treatment and report back if I see any positive results. At this point in time I do not recommend using this product for your ganglion cyst.

T, I have one on the wrist and Frankincense oil did nothing for it either. Am now experimenting with Nigella Sativa oil. Anyone else know a topical treatment that works?

The only reason I gave two stars is because of the scent. Frankincense has a pleasant aroma, but again, has done nothing to cure my cyst.

Have you found any cure for cyst on wrist?

Hey! I have a small ganglion cyst on the top of my foot too! Is it necessary to dilute the frankincense oil before use? If so, how much? Thanks!

What variety/type of frankincense oil did you use? There are 3-4 different kinds out there. Thanks!

I have been using the Frankincense 3 times a day for 7 days so far on my ganglion cyst on my knuckle and nothing has happened. I will keep it up until it has gone but I am very disappointed. I am using it directly and there is no problem with doing this, just nothing happening and it is a good make of essential oil.

You had to apply it 6 weeks straight for the ganglion to disappear completely? I've been applying frankincense oil for 9 days and its still there.

Yes, it took 6 weeks to go completely, and it has not come back since then.

My Cyst is inside my wrist, so might be a lot harder.Frankincense didn't work at all after two weeks of massaging with it undiluted 4 times a day. Frankly it seems worse, not better at all.

My last one in the other wrist was sucked out using a needle and ultrasound guidance by a doctor. They perforated the cell wall and it's never come back. Cost $270 though.
