This past weekend I was researching for my daughters illnesses. In those articles ( wished I would have saved them) it said that Vertigo has promising healing results when you put the patient on a gluten free diet and magnesium is increased in the patient. Soak in Epsom salts daily. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil daily up to 4 TBs helps with may brain disorders. They are finding that the wheats today are not like the wheat 100 years ago and many are having gluten intolerant issues...which are damaging the gut. Leaky gut can cause auto immune diseases. Auto immune diseases are rampant these days!!

The name of the Chiropractors specialty is NUCCA...I visit a Dr in Vegas that specializes in that. They manipulate the atlas and don't "crack" anything.

Hydrogen Peroxide
Posted by Stephanie (Atlanta, Ga) on 03/27/2014

The post regarding "not taking the peroxide in brown bottle from the drugstore" is inaccurate. You must read the label and search for "stabilized". If it's stabilized then it's not pure. I know that the Kroger brand is not, and is safe.

If you have any doubt, search for the MSDS for the brand name you want to use.*

Please be very careful with food grade hydrogen peroxide, it is extremely dangerous and you must follow directions and precautions very carefully.

*Tip: looking up a MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) can be done for any product. It is public knowledge and is used by Hazardous Material Responders to determine what's in the product and how to safely clean it up, and safe handling and storage.

So if you want to know exactly what is in a product, look up the MSDS.

~much happiness, Steph

Salt-Free Diet

Salt Free Diets -- to help with Meniere's Disease -- Seasonings and ways to cook that make a world of difference -- I've learned that once you start removing salt from your diet, you don't crave it as much. Charcoal grilling your meats and vegetables make a huge difference in the taste. I make a lot of soups -- and I use orange juice as a base, lemon and lime zest and the juice, vinegar, instant coffee, brown sugar, pepper, and then fresh jalapenos, onions, celery to season my soups. Just pick and choose -- and experiment to see what you like. You can also purchase salt free can vegetables -- and especially tomatoes. And frozen vegetables are salt free.

I've found the less salt I have in my diet, the less I suffere from Meniere's Disease.

If I may add to Ted's anti viral recipe and the pine neddles suggestion... If the assertion by Ted is correct, that Meniere's is caused by a virus, my favorite viral killer is colloidal silver and I hope readers of this site will consider it. To get to the ears, when ever I have an ear infection I use an ear syringe and squirt into the ear canals twice in an hour letting the liquid drain out by leaning the head to the side; the same as when one gets water into the ear when taking a shower or getting out of the swimming pool (or ocean... my favorite).

The infection could be all the way into the eustasian tubes which run from ear canal to the sinus cavity so one would want to ingest into the sinus cavity also. If infected in the sinus, it will sting so be prepared for a sharp stinging sensation the first time you irrigate the nasal passages... If infected that is. If you irrigate both sinus and ears two to three times, most infections will be killed.

Ted mentions the amino acid "lysine" and lysine is indeed anti viral but orally taking the lysine will take a long time to get to the problem and where the body has minimal circulation such as the eustasian tubes, the effect will be minimal and if the infection is also in the eustations, there may likely be a "secondary infection" which happens all the time when a doctor has a patient on antibiotics to kill a bacterial infection. Why? Because the anitbiotic cannot "get to" the eustations. But an irrigation method using silver goes straight to the source of the infection.

And silver atoms kill virus, fungus and bacteria. I use a high ppm dosage; I make my own and have done so for twenty years and take two or three times weekly; orally and anytime there is any sign of a sinus or ear infection or sore throat.

Hi Cindy... Teds remedy for Meniere's is shown below:

"Ted from Bangkok, Thailand: "Meniere's Disease:

This is the simplest possible cure for this condition. You should see a dramatic reduction in tinnitus, dizziness, vomiting in a matter of days. The cause is a virus, likely to be a herpes viruses. The condition attacks the area and when you first have it, you know when it started. The remedy to get most of the viruses killed is to take 1000 mg of vitamin C, followed by a 55 minute doses and take 1200 mg of lysine for a total of 6 doses on the first day. On the second day it's 1200 mg of lysine at 55 minute dose interval for a total of 4 doses. The third and fourth day is the same. To make sure it's completely gone, you try to take at least 1200 mg of lysine dose twice a day for the next 30 days, or longer. The point is, the very first week usually 90% is gone on the first week. The lysine is kept up at a fairly high level. For the more tougher cases, an aspirin 500 mg can be added along with the vitamin C on before starting on the daily doses of lysine. That means vitamin C 1000 mg plus aspirin 500 mg before starting the 6 doses of lysine on first day, 4 doses on second day, 4 doses on the third day, 4 doses on the fourth day. It's a four day remedy that usually kills most of the herpes out of the system. If it isn't out, the attacks will be far and between, instead of getting more frequent attacks with each coming year, until it becomes very debilitating. I managed to see a couple of cures, from this Meniere's disease. If there are tougher ones, there is alpha lipoic acid, zinc and alkalization to deal with it, as well as lemon bioflavonoid, piracetam, and the like. But it's likely to be lysine, vitamin C and aspirin in that order. I am presently investigating alpha lipoic acid in such use, but since herpes always goes away before I get a chance to start it, I haven't yet a chance to try it yet.

Thereafter the one month, I think a maintenace dose of just 1200 mg lysine should prevent most future attacks. If not increasing the dose to just twice a day should be sufficient."

Source: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/menieres_disease3.html

Since, from the research, it is suspected that Menier's is caused by the herpes virus -- this is why Ted's remedy works so well, because this remedy is essentiallly an anti-viral, anti-bacterial remedy.

I would also advise that you supplement turpentine or distilled gum sap of pine. This remedy is anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-mycoplasma and anti-parasitic and is described here by me in this post stream as part of a remedy for candida. Pine oil is also a diuretic which will help against your retention problems.

Pine oil is also regarded as a health giving food in Asia. To see more -- just do a Google Search on "Korean Red Pine Oil" or "Japanese Red Pine Oil".

If you don't like the idea of supplementing turpentine then I would advise that you could easily supplement pine needle tea instead. And since you live in Wisconsin which has so many pine trees -- then this is a free and easy remedy for you to make.

In the time of the early American settlers who were spreading eastwards across America, many of these settlers had diseases like scurvy and other problems because of poor diet. From the history, apparently the native American indians took pity on the settlers and they showed them how to make the pine needle tea which cured many of their problems including scurvy. Pine needles contains large amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin A. The equivalent weight of pine needles contains 8 times more vitamin c than one orange and 4 times more vitamin c than a single lemon.

So here is another option for you. Pine needle tea contains the same beneficial oils as pine oil or turpentine (mainly alpha- and beta-pinenes). And if you are living in a region with pine trees like Wisconsin -- then it's a free cure -- all you need are the fresh pine needles to make the tea.

To make pine needle tea add two tablespoons of fresh, washed, chopped pine needles to a teapot of water that has just boiled. Steep for 10 minutes then just drink the tea. You can also make larger batches of pine needle tea like this and store it in the fridge -- it keeps for about 5 weeks because of its anti-microbial properties.

Take the pine needle tea three or four times a day.

Meniere's Disease Remedies

Can Ted or Bill offer help with this:

In 1999/2000 I HAD a Meniere's attack. It lasted for a week and was gone. Fast forward to 2011, I lost my job and my father in 6 months time. Started having problems with my ears being plugged up, stuffy feeling, dizziness at times, off balance. All this would come and go. One day in July of 2012 put my in ER at hospital with nausea, vomiting, dizziness etc. Was given an iv and thought to be a stomach bug of sorts, my guess was dehydration from too much hot outdoor work and not enough water intake. sent me home, continuing off and on same symptoms but more frequent for days at a time and then stop. July 2012 once again in ER for the same uncontrollable bout of previous year. I didn't help as much this time. Go see ENT specialist, ears checked, hearing checked. He suggested MRI done to rule out possible tumor(s). Suggested low slat diet to help with water retention that is causing symptoms. Also go on a water pill to help with too much fluid. Was trying to stay off salt as much as I could. Yesterday I am at work and get another bout and back to ER at hospital and another iv etc. got pills today for water retention and scheduled MRI for September.

I am searching for natural remedies to maintain this disease. I don't understand if low salt means no sea salt as well? I have started researching Meniere's and come up with MANY possible causes. It should be noted I have a great many high, medium and low food intolerances, suspect candida as well and all that goes with that. I really don;t know how to proceed day to day and get my live back enough to function and hopefully be able to keep my job. though the job is contributing to my stress load and continually search for a new one, though that is not easy where I live.

Sorry if this got so long but posting on here gives me hope of being led to information that will help me thank you all

Many years ago I had a little vertigo. As I was lowering my head onto my bed pillow I experienced a little dizziness. As days went by the dizziness increased. I concluded I had a balance problem, that my inner ear wasn't working properly. I figured it might be an infection, so I made cayenne pepper tea. I boiled enough water for a cup of tea and placed into the cup as much cayenne powder as I could stand, heat-wise. I drank three cups a day. The problem was completely healed in less than a weak, never to return.

I have had Meniere's for 12 years. The area surrounding my right ear is intermittentantly numb, I have tinnitus 24/7, and have experienced severe 'spin-outs" to the point of vomitting, and then need to sleep for 18 hours. When I first sought an answer to what I had, I was told I could possibly have otitus media, a brain tumor or very off chance, Meniere's Disease. I was given antibiotics and steroids. I happened upon a Meniere's specialist of world renown in the Rochester, Michigan area, by overhearing a conversation, who diagnosed classic Meniere's. I can tell you from experience that diet is the key.

CATS =No Caffeine, No Alcohol, No Tobacco, No Salt

With that in mind; eliminate processed foods, condiments, think organic, no hormone, no antibiotic treated foods. No sugar substitutes.

To stop a "spin-out" in the process I was taught to Focus! (Bio-feedback) Focus your eyes on an object, do not close your eyes, you will feel your eyes bouncing in your head, but the vertigo will stop. The more you use this technique, the faster you will be able to stop the spinning.

Reporting I cured myself from vertigo in 2010 it's now 2013. Simply eliminating aspartame. Still not one episode. HOWEVER, IF THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR YOU there lies a bigger problem, ask your doctor to check for Gliosis. Scarred brain tissue and early signs of MS. A friend was recently diagnosed.

I had ear ache and my ear were plugged and balance was quite off. I was skeptical about putting Colloidal Silver (CS) in my ear. But didn't want to take antibiotics either. So I put 3 drops of CS 10 ppm last night. My balance has been restored and my ear doesn't feel plugged up. I just couldn't believe how fast CS healed my ear. I will be using 3 drops for rest of the week and post my progress here! :)

I do not know if this will help... But regular table salt that we buy at the store is detrimental to your health. It is the sodium in sea salt or Himalayan sat that our bodies need. We have been on sea salt for over 2 years now. Try using that.. But I strongly suggest you try Himalayan salt. Make sure you buy from a reputable source. I hope this helps you.

Epley Manuever for Meniere's Disease

I did the Epley Maneuver and WOW! Only had to do this once. My ears felt very full and I could not lay down or sit up from laying down without the room spinning and it was worse if I laid down on the right side, violent, nauseating spins. Immediately after doing this maneuver I was so nauseous that I vomited but during the maneuver I could feel a water liquid drain (from my ears presumably) into my sinuses. When I rose, the full feeling in my right ear was gone and I have not had another spell since.

I LOVE THIS SITE! Thank you so much for posting this!

To everyone with Meniere's Disease and hypothyroidism::::. I have both. Selenium can help! ...

I made a visit to a naturopath who provides hair analysis testing along with urine testing to detect mineral deficiencies. Turns out I was defiecient in almost all trace minerals especially selenium. I started taking 200mcg of selenium daily and have gained much of my hearing back. I have also not been dizzy for over two months. I still have much more to look into but I really wanted to share this with you all that mineral deficiencies are real no matter what your primary care might say it is always best to get it checked propperly before taking their word for it. I did and will never look back.

Hydrogen Peroxide
Posted by Anon (Anonymous) on 06/10/2012

You shouldn't be taking the stuff in the brown bottle internally. You should be getting food grade hydrogen peroxide for that. It can be purchased at a health food store, but that is usually 35% hydrogen peroxide and you can't drink it like that or it can do you serious harm. You need to dilute it with distilled water to get it down to a 3% solution.

I tried 2 oz of CS last night in desperation to remove my vertigo/dizziness after 2 sugar crashes I missed because of it.

I woke this morning with no dizziness at all. Nothing came back all day. I took 2 more oz of CS this morning also. Lady at the nature store said "10 days only, then take a break". It says it on the bottle too.

I am going to try 3 drops in my ear tonight before going to bed to see if it will work on what is causing my ringing.

But not being dizzy all day has been great.

I read somewhere on internet that vertigo could be because of some bacteria or infection in your ear. So u can treat it like this, take two garlic cloves, smash it, then take 2, 3 tblsp of mustard oil, heat it and roast the garlic in it. Remove it from heat. Let it get cool. Then put 2/3 drops in your affected ear at night. I did it 4 two nights and I felt pretty good. Well my vertigo is still there but not that annoying. Hopefully it will get cured if I do it continuously.

Hi Angela, Yes it may well be a cause but it is not the only cause. I know one person who has it and he has never had a diet drink or food in his life nor does he drink any sodas or eat junk food. Although one might say that the white bread he has with all 3 meals is junk! Salt makes his menieres worse but they only had table salt and he has never tried natural sea salt. I also know a family who drank diet cola regularly and 1 of them still does (around 3 a day) and this person has very bad menieres.

Three years ago, I had vertigo so bad, everytime I moved, I vomited. My doctor had me move my head from one side to the other, quickly. It took the dizziness away for a little while. Every night, the dizziness returns, when my head hits the pillow, requiring the head movement, in order to lay down. I started taking Hydrogen Peroxide for Bronchitis and somehow, found this site.

The post on Vertigo and Sea Salt was really interesting. So I immediately made a glass of water and sea salt. There didn't seem to be any effect. The next morning, I got right up and went to let the dogs out, when it dawned on me that the morning Vertigo was gone. I am faithfully taking the Sea Salt everyday. Guess what? I haven't had the Vertigo, since starting it. Another side effect is, having had a ringing in my left ear for about 50 years, it is far less. Hopefully, it will go away when my sodium level is where it should be.

I used to have episodes of vertigo lasting a few weeks. Then I went to a chiropractor with my dish for vomiting in hand, it was so bad that I could not walk unassisted, and eyes closed because everything was spinning. We had rung him first and he thought he could help. And help he did. I walked out with the symptoms easing. I also took magnesium and three days later back to normal. Once I started to recognize my warning symptoms early and we would treat with magnesium and one visit to the chiropractor. I have not had a full blown attach for some years now and only need magnesium for very early symptoms.
