I had come down with Covid that gave me an absolute terrible time with sinus congestion. There was so much sinus pressure and there was absolutely no air getting through. I could actually pump my nostrils and a squeak.
I would notice that I would get an occasional couple of hours where I can breathe. At first, I couldn't understand what it was that was opening up my breathing. I had been trying everything; oregano nasal spray, grapefruit seed extract nasal spray, saline rinse, the tomato tea (which only would work for a few minutes once things got really bad), vinegar, etc. I tried it all and none would help for more than a few minutes.
What I finally realized was that as soon as I get sick, ever since the pandemic, I pull out lysine. I heard it was a fantastic way to kill off viruses. So whether it is a cold or flu or Covid, I knew it was something good to have on standby. I had been taking it with a bunch of other supplements, but something told me to just take a single dose before I go to bed. Sure enough within about 20 minutes, I could breathe! For hours! I thought it could not be true. So the next morning I tried it again. I could breathe again. I was wondering why this lysine wan't more spoken about for covid and other respiratory illnesses.
I took 1000 MG 3x times a day of Pure Encapsulation brand because they are capsules and very clean. So it gets right in the system. I would do capsules or powder or granules before I did tablets just because how quickly it gets into the system. Your body has to break the tablet down so that slows down delivery.
I don't know if this will work for any stuffy nose, but if you have a viral infection going on, It may be worth a try.

The Significance of Vibration in Therapy
Guinea Pig Rob here...
Low vibration around the ears and over the sinus-plexes may help people who suffer from tinnitus, sinus congestion and other ear and sinus issues. I theorize the reason why it works is, the vibration loosen's-up any blockage that maybe in all the plumbing inside the ears and sinus (eustachian tube, ear canal, semi-circular canals vestibule, sinus membranes, etc…).
I took my GF personal vibrator (it has various speed setting) cleaned it (for obvious reasons lol) and applied it over the sinus-plexes, cheek bones, eye browes, around the ear's. I did this for 20 minutes. After I completed the treatment, my sinuses started to run and flow. I felt a little dizzy but better.
There is a vibration device sold on Amazon called “Eardoc Ear Massager for Natural Relief of Clogged Ears” but THEY WANT $60! My GF personal re-chargable battery operated masager cost $5 (google search: Small Personal Massager for Women).
I'm not saying this technique will cure your sinus congestion but it will get things flowing again for sure...
Tea Tree Oil
★★★★★
Materials needed:
– Nasal Saline Spray 1.5 oz. (found at any Dollarstore)
– Tea Tree Oil
– Needle nose pliers
– Paper towel
Directions:
– Remove cap from nasal spray.
– Wrap paper towel around nasal tip. Use pliers to carefully wiggle tip off of bottle. The paper towel protects the soft plastic tip from damage by using the pliers.
– Once removed, add two drops tea tree oil to the 1.5 oz. saline solution in bottle.
– Re-install tip on bottle. Re-cap bottle. It is now ready to use.
How to use: Shake bottle before each use so the oil mixes with the saline solution. Mist/Spray each nostril with solution several times daily. Do this til symptoms improve.
Why it works:
Saline nasal spray clears out mucus and crusts in your nasal passages that are causing you to feel stuffed up. Using saline nasal spray or irrigation also helps cleanse your nasal passages, washing away pollen and other things that cause allergy symptoms. Saline sprays can reduce thick mucus secretions in the sinuses and nose.
Tea tree oil can help relieve sinus congestion by reducing inflammation. Tea tree oil is known for its antiviral and antimicrobial properties. Its expectorant properties can loosen mucus.
Peppermint Oil

Here is a trick you can do at home to un-clog your sinuses. This remedy must be done just before bedtime because the menthol and bioactive chemicals from the peppermint will make your eye water and tear. If your eyes are closed, there is no problem.
Peppermint oil is highly effective at relaxing muscles in your nasal passages and helping to clear out the muck and pollen from your respiratory tract during allergy season. It's considered one of the best essential oils for allergies because of its expectorant, anti-inflammatory and invigorating properties.
A lab study published in the European Journal of Medical Research found that menthol displayed potential therapeutic efficacy for the treatment of chronic inflammatory disorders such as allergic rhinitis, colitis and bronchial asthma.
Take 20 drops MCT Coconut oil or regular coconut oil (since it's a light oil and penetrates easy into the skin). And add 20 drops Peppermint oil (I like Now Brand) ratio 1:1. Mix together in a small bowl with your finger til uniformed.
Apply this mixture over your sinus plexus, all over your forehead, temples, jaw, cheek, as close to the eye orbit as you can get (but not in your eyes!), nose bridge, in front and back of ears and back of neck. Immediately go to bed.
Have tissue handy for what will come next. Your sinuses passages will dilate and open up. Next, the flood gates of thick snot will start coming out. Depending on how bad you were congested will determine how long this will last. For chronic sinus issue's, you may need to repeat for a few days to completely clear the sinuses of infection.
If you have hyperactive skin, dial down the ratio to 5:1.

Smelling Black Pepper

Black pepper contains quite a bit of sulfur. As do potatoes - or, rather, they should but the soil is so depleted in the states that you have to amend the soil of your potato patch - if you grow your own.

I had come to have a chronic sinusitis which was triggered often and predictably.
The ACV steaming not only has an immediate relieving effect but I believe it has rid me of the root chronic condition, removing old infected mucus. I am soo grateful to finding this method on EC and I tell everyone about it.
The other method I use is to put 3-5 drops of either ACV (any more will burn), 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide, or Lugol's 2% Iodine into my neti pot or a refillable nasal mist sprayer combined with the warm saline solution. I'll rotate all of these methods during seasonal changes when my sinuses are more sensitive. Just fantastic!
