I have found acupuncture very helpful. Several years ago, I had pain, both sharp and dull, bloating, indigestion, etc, for many months. After treatment for about a month, all gone! Recently they flared up and I'm returning to treatment again. If possible, find a practitioner trained in the classical Chinese medicine, not TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine, a misnomer, since it was developed after the Revolution, in the 1950s).

When I drink coffee, my legs hurt that night when I lay down. I'm 5 foot 8 inches, 200 pounds, so adjust accordingly. Here is what works:

On an empty stomach:

Large glass of cold Soy Milk (the kind with calcium, vit. D ect.) with 1 Tablespoon cinnamon mixed in

2 bananas

2000mg Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)

400 IU Vitamin D

700mg potassium gluconate

2 Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc tablets

1 White Willow Bark capsule

Magnesium Oil
Posted by Littlewing (Boston, Ma) on 02/08/2012

I have suffered from shoulder pain for quite a few months now. I don't know how I did it, but over time I've had less and less mobility in my shoulders, right far worse than the left (I'm a righty). They get stiff but the night time was the WORST. I'm sure some of it was from sleeping on it - but I would wake up in the middle of the night from the pain and I was always on my back and literally wouldn't be able to move my arm for a minute or two, then would have to support my right arm with my left hand so I could move it and loosen it up. The pain was horrible.

I've been reading lots of info on here and decided to try the magnesium oil as it seemed the easiest and wouldn't taste badly (I tried ACV, blech). Well, wouldn't you know a few hours after putting magnesium oil directly on my right shoulder the pain had subsided. I slept almost straight through the night that first night. That was just four days ago. I've been applying the magnesium oil in the morning and at night. My shoulder is still having discomfort but the pain lessening is awesome. I'm going to try h2o2 next, already have my food grade diluted down. I'm going to try the spray directly method first but will probably start drinking it in the morning as well. Here's hoping I have even better results! Health and happiness to all and thank you EC - I've told so many people about it looking for cures to acid reflux, migraines, reynauds, etc. You guys rock!

I am 54yrs old. I have had a couple of injuries that continued to cause me pain in my neck and left shoulder. Also diagnosed with Degeneritive Arthitis in my neck, probably due to injuries. I was in so much pain in the morning, so stiff I could hardly move. Also pain thru out the day. I was miserable. This has been going on for approx. 6 yrs.

I came across this web site and read the many comments for BSM and ACV. I figured it couldn't hurt me any more that it already did. After using this formula, 2tsp of each in 6-8oz of warm water, 2x a day, on the 2nd day I was almost pain free. I got up that morning and I wanted to dance for joy!!! I have been using this formula ever since and I am pain free every day!!! Thanks to all of you that contributed your experiences so that I could have mine!

If your son is getting a lot of sore throats and colds, chances are he is deficient in vitamin D3. Next time you take him to the doctor, ask the dr to test for deficiency. (simple blood test) I don't know how old he is but an adult can start on 2000 units/day and work up to 5000. Since I have been on 5000, I haven't gotten so much as a sniffle. (4 yrs ago)

Pimento Oil

How do you use the herbal remedy. Do you take it every day or as needed for pain?

Pimento is a natural analgesic, therefore numbs pain. Sufferers of rheumatism, arthritis, nerve damage, water retention, fevers, back pain, foot pain, numbness and tingling can all benefit from a herbal preparation containing Pimento. There is one on the market which they call "a complete medicine cabinet in a bottle", because it is an all round pain medication. Pimento oil, with lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon and peppermint stopped me getting cortisone shots in my shoulders every 3 months. I still use it for any pain, it really is an "everything" medication without all the side effects of prescription medicine! Pimento Oil is the best!

Coconut Oil

I said I used a teaspoonful of coconut oil, but that is a heaped spoon of hard oil. (it's always hard in this climate except for a couple months in summer) Measurement was probably closer to a tablespoon of liquid oil. I am still using it, just night and morning gently rubbed into any hurting bits. Great stuff!!

Lately I have been experiencing nasty pain down each side of my legs, coupled with chronic lower back pain I was hobbling around in misery. Came to Earth Clinic and read one of the posts about Coconut Oil being used for pain relief, I was sceptical but desperate so I used about a teaspoonful and rubbed into my lower back and the residue down my hips thighs and calves. I lay down after this thinking how can oil fix pain ?.. Within 5 minutes I was pain free!! It did'nt last past a couple of hours so I renewed the application. Same result. So far I have been rubbing in the coconut oil for three days and the effects are lasting longer each time. I am totally convinced. When I told a friend of mine who comes from the Maldives, she said it was used extensively there for massage. If you are hurting try it!! Be well and thank you Earth Clinic

ACV, White Grape Juice

I have suffered greatly for 14 years with severe chronic pain, obesity, insomnia... You get the picture. I had been on a 'cocktail' of oxycodone (6 per day), MORPHINE (2x/day), 4 different muscle relaxers... and on top of that I would take 4 ibuprofen AND 4 naproxen sodium- all just for the pain. Then add in the sleep medication, valium, clonazepam- and still up almost all night with pain.

I was beginning to see the negative effects of all of this, and with no relief in sight except for when I took the narcotics, I decided to search and found this page about ACV.

After reading all the posts about ACV, I decided to try it right away. I knew I would have to cut it with something more palatable, so I followed the juice recipe.

1 c organic ACV
1 c organic white grape juice
2 c organic apple juice

I woke up the next morning with so little pain, I could actually get on the stationary bike and did 15 min in the morning and another in the pm. I also did my daily walk with the dog. She is a mastiff-size dog and at 11 mos. Is almost 90 lbs and she pulls on the leash, adding to my pain. Not that day- we got home without the usual added pain and I didn't have to rest for hours after.

I have kept a journal since the first day about my experience with ACV. Today will be my 7th day. Yesterday, my husband and I took the dog to the beach (her first time). I woke up with no pain at all that day and went to bed the same, even after running errands as well.

I am sleeping a bit better, have already stopped taking the oxycodone, morphone, all muscle relaxers, sleep meds, and valium.

My husband is in the Army and is really working hard on his physical training but he also deals with pain intermittantly. He has been doing this with me and feels no pain at all now.

We both have reflux issues andI take an Rx for it. The ACV will aggrevvate it for us both if not cut with juice and an equal amount of water (& ice). Then the taste is actually pretty good- like lemonade or something, and we just sip it all day, getting our 3 doses in.

Nature cured what 11 (yes, eleven) specialists could not. We will always use this from now on!

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field

I have a Sota Magnetic pulser and it does help to relieve pain by pulsing bio-north magnetic energy into the lymph and tissues. I have also found a laser therapy pen useful for relieving pain and speeding the healing process. Both of these are helpful for rejuvenating skin/tissue.

I was waking up everyday with sore, swollen hands. I noticed when I used aspir-cream on my legs for my bad chronic pain, that my hands felt so much better! Also, teas made with willow bark, dandelion root, uva ursi, slippery elm, and a tad of catnip can help with pain AND the swelling.

Rebounding

When I was 62 or 63, I used to get these intense pangs of pain that would last for about 10 seconds and then fade and then come back in 2 or 3 minutes. I would try to watch television, and it was INTENSE. Rebounding took it away. Rebounding does something wonderful. And when I am too tired to go to the gym, and I can at least rebound. I am 65 years old.

Acupressure

Acupressure Mat use the principles of acupressure to help relieve stress, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic back or neck pain, while at the same time increasing relaxation and an overall sense of well-being.

The acupressure mat works by applying non-penetrative acupressure on numerous points over an area of the body. The pressure stimulates the release of endorphins and oxytocin, the body's natural pain relieving and 'feel-good' hormones.

Using the acupressure mat for just 20 minutes each day promotes relaxation, increased energy levels, and an improved sense of well being.

My doctor indicated my right knee had a meniscus degenerative tear, I even got a second opinion and surgery was recommended. I was tired with the pain killers and I wanted also a natural form of calcium. A friend suggested I use Blackstrap molasses... I take a teasppon every morning before breakfast. I hardly experince pain, I have lost a few pounds and I feel great. Blackstrap molasses has add wonders to how I feel on a daliy basis... It is a renewed feeling. I have not done surgery.

My 85 year old mom has been suffering excruciating pain due to shingles (along the nerve on the back of her leg to her waist) for the past 3 weeks. The pain was unbearable and she could not sleep at all because of the pain. I could no longer bear to watch her suffer so much so I looked up this site and found turmeric and apple cider vinegar. I made 00 capsules filled with tumeric and gave her 2 capsules before going to bed last night and mixed ACV with 1 tbsp honey and made her drink it. When I came to see her this morning, she said that it was the first night she had not felt any pain in the last 3 weeks. She has become a believer in natural remedies and so have I. Thanks to everyone for your testimonies.

78 and do not have or know a doctor. Healthy and pain free, now. Its no secret. Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C). but that is another story. In my 40's I was playing a lot of tough basketball and had many aches and pains. I had been taking stress B and other multi-vitamins and minerals for years. I added cod liver oil. Surprise. Most of my pains were less. I told a neighbor and he told me of a book he had just read by a doctor who worked with arthritic Patients for over thirty years. He found that most ate a lot sugar, white bread and pastry, which he refer to as poisons in his book. His therapy was Diet, exercise, vitamins and minerals. No white sugar or white flour. What he found to help the most was cod liver oil. This is his regimen I followed. Three Tblsp a day for six days, one day without, then another six days at the same amount. Then one tblsp a day six days a week until pain and arthritic was controlled. It worked for me. I do not take the liquid, the taste was to much. Capsules I can handle. Natural medicine doctors now believe in treating the whole body, not the disease. I have done this for over 60 years. listen to your body.

I discovered vitamin C thorough the internet surfing for my health. I am never satisfied. I found some papers By Dr F R Klenner. Died 1984 His story of discovery is incredible. I shed many tears reading his discoveries and what he did with them. samples: Cured completely, 60 of 60 polio cases he saw. Brought to term 300 perfect babies with no or minimal problems for the mothers, some with health problems, and had been warned not to. Cured every virus he came across, some I never heard of. I am ten years younger than I was last November and going to stay that way. Read Dr Klenners papers at: doctoryourself.com

Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Pierre Phuket Th. (Phuket, Thailand) on 01/10/2010

Dear Kate, like me and many others the ACV work very well but if you add some turmeric that can help more.

Remember ACV & Turmeric (organic much better ) works very well in different hours in the day. You can drink 4-5 times daily. If you have some Hydrogen Peroxide 5 or 6 % - can spraying or make a bath with, something like 2-3 % solution mixed with water twice a day that really help and make less inflammations in your joint.

Hope you geting better, Pierre

To Beezer: You did not list the dose you were taking. The ACV could be working on something else in your body which would be why it is not relieving your body pain. Either increase your ACV intake a bit or take a hot bath in half a cup or so of ACV and see if that helps. Turmeric also works great for body pain. Sometimes the ACV will not work for me and my body pain and other times it will. Vice versa, sometimes the turmeric will not work so I use ACV next. I eventually find relief usually between those two remedies.

General Feedback

This website is great, thank you all so much for your comments and advice - without it I'd be in a lot of pain. The baking soda trick does work for me most of the time - but some days the pain does creep back. I find driving quite painful if I'm driving on a bumpy road - I try and drive as slowly as possible without annoying other drivers but it's not always possible. Does anyone else get this? I have ordered some cayenne and ginger capsules and I'm looking forward to trying those. The trouble with this condition, for me, is that every day is different. One day I can feel really fine - 9 out of 10 and the next day I'm back to 3 out of 10. Sometimes it's not obvious to me what I've done to make things worse. It makes it hard for my family because they never know what sort of mood I'll be in when they get home! I try and stay positive but it's sometimes really hard to snap out of a "feeling sorry for myself" mood.

Please keep all the advice coming - it is such a help and I hope that one day I'll be able to offer some helpful advice myself!

EC: Hi Charlotte, would you please tell us what ailment you are treating? Rheumatoid Arthritis? Fibromyalgia? Thanks!
