For moles and skin tags use castor oil, it is cheaper, safer than black bloodroot paste, why pay $20.00 for 2oz. when you can buy castor oil for 4 or 5 bucks for a whole bottle.

The garlic definitely removed my mole, but there's a grayish discoloration around where the mole was where the garlic pulp spilled over. I was too much of a wuss to peel off the mole once it was shriveled and scabbed, so it took about 10 days to get rid of.

But I still have that gray pigmentation in a big ugly circle. How do I get rid of it?

Malt Vinegar, Vitamin C Powder
Posted by Sally (Birmingham, Uk) on 06/22/2012

Hi, I have recently applied malt vineger and vitamin c powder to 4 moles on my face and 1 on my arm. I followed what I needed to do correctly, using a sterilized needle to scratch the moles and file. Then applied the vinegar and vitamin c powder. After scratching them with the needle and file, it stung a bit then I put a band aid over them and went to sleep.

I did scratch quite a lot of the moles off in the first day but this was every couple of hours. Some times they would bleed only slightly, and majority only dead skin tissue of the moles would come off.

They have gone flat and turned into scabs, it's just making me feel a bit sick all day. And the treatment area is flat brown or black however it has gotten slightly bigger. But I assume this is part of the healing process. Some of the surrounding skin healing too. Is this normal?

I would also like to know how do you know what the root of the mole is supposed look like and how deep can they go so I know what to look for so I get the whole mole. So it doesn't grow back again. Other wise I've wasted my time on these moles

Plus if you don't get the root can the moles get bigger when growing back?

Oh yeah do I wait till the scabs drop off and repeat the process?

Thank you in advance.

Bloodroot Paste

The Black Blood Root Salve worked to remove a fleshy mole that I've had for quite a few years. You have to be persistent in using this product. I applied the salve every evening. The first time I tried to use it I didn't cover the mole with tape. The key is to cover the mole with surgical tape. My skin is ultra sensitive. If I use any kind of band aid or tape my skin gets inflamed. I made sure to use a dab of aloe cream or moisturizer before apply the tape and this helped. Also, I would remove the tape after taking a shower and then use soap on the tape, etc. This helped to remove the tape. Pull slowly when removing tape. I used peroxide and ACV to clean the area. The ACV did burn a bit so again, I used the cream after to help the inflammation. This salve works great on small moles. They come out quickly. I used a Black Blood Root from WWH with these ingredients: Olive Oil Extracts of Organic Blood Root, Chaga Mushroom, Yellow Dock, Galangal, Goldenseal & Poke Root, Calendula & Red Clover Flower, Chaparral, Sheep Sorrel & Graviola Leaf, Burdock Seed, Pau d'Arco Bark, Beeswax, Essential Oils, Flower & Gem Essences.

The mole came out when I was washing my face with a face cloth. The area bled for a few minutes. I applied a compress with warm water and the bleeding stopped.

I hope this information is helpful.

ACV, Garlic and Iodine

What do you guys think about dabbing some more avc or garlic in the crater, to prevent the mole from coming back? I presume it would leave a bigger scar... But it should also "burn" the root.. Right? Anyone tried it?

ACV, Garlic and Iodine
Posted by Mikey (Mission Viejo, Ca) on 06/04/2012

I found that instead of using a needle or a pin to roughen the edges before you apply ACV or garlic, using a nail file works well too and you won't bleed. Gently scratch the surface but make sure you dont't get the surrounding skin! Once the scab is formed don't pick it! Apply coconut oil or shea butter over the scab and surrounding skin to minimize scarring! Good luck

Hey guys, so I removed a pea sized mole around my face about a little over a month ago with garlic, and I was left with a red spot for a couple weeks, then it eventually faded a little and got darker. How can I speed up the healing process for it to dissappear completely? How long did it take for your redness to go away completly?

I went to a dermatologist to check out the hyperpigmentation, and he prescribed me a bleaching cream which is supposed to lighten up the mark. He said first it'll turn red, (which it has), then it will heal back to its normal pigment, so now it looks like how it was when I first removed the mole--bright red.

Much appreciated guys.

When you guys say "roughen up" the area first before applying ACV... do you just scratch the mole with a needle but make sure it doesnt bleed or what? Can you be a little more descriptive? Thank you.

The String Method
Posted by Sally (Warsaw, Poland) on 11/19/2011

I've actually used the string method succesfully on my arm, but in a slightly modified way.

My mole was a medium brown color, raised, and circular. It had been there unchanged for years, so I knew it was safe to remove. I cleaned the area well and I tied a string around it - no knots or anything, so I could tighten it at will. I tied it around tightly and watched tv, and I would tighten the string every few minutes. After about two hours the mole was very pale, and the string was pulled so tightly the mole had turned into a perfect spherish bubble above the string. I took a sharp knife that I sterilized earlier, and while pulling the string and mole upwards, I placed the blade under the string and I cut the mole off. I cleaned the wound and waited for it to stop bleeding, and covered it with a bandaid. For the next few days I cleaned the wound and put Neosporin on it. Now, half a year later, I have a tiny scar. It's a barely visible brown ring where the edges of the mole were (it turned out that I didn't grab enough of the mole with the string), with a very small brown dot in the center (the root). The mole so far isn't growing back and I'm really happy with the results.

This method is really risky and you can really harm yourself, so I advise choosing a more safer method to remove your moles.

I put a shred of garlic clove on my facial mole, it was really small but it was on the tip of my nose & I didnt like it. So yesterday is when I put the garlic and just now I removed the facial mole with a toothpick and I just picked it off. Yes it's kinda painful, but worth it! because it is now gone :)

I read the wonderful posts on getting rid of Moles - YAY! Funny enough, I remember as a kid my doctor used iodine to remove planters warts. I have decided to try ACV on my abundantant mole population. I do not know what I will do if it works. These moles have been a real source of angst to me my whole life. Never mind te danger of suntanning, etc. ANYWAY... I went to my chemist and was looking for vaseline, to reduce the chance of burning surrounding skin, when I thought about corn plasters! My moles are quite big but they fit perfectly into the hole of a corn plaster and the skin around it is safe. Also, it makes applying the ACV really easy. Although, I decided against covering with a plaster, you can and the corn plaster keeps the plaster off the mole so there is a bit of 'breathing space'! I'm only on my second morning, but I will def report any happy success. Thank you to everyone who contributes to this site. I'm five weeks since having a cancerous ovary removed and thanks to what I've read, am refusing a hysterectomy and will nurture remaining cancerous ovary and my body instead! THANKS EVERYONE!

My fiance had a raised mole on her arm since birth. She is 43 now and I used apple cider vinegar and hydrogen peroxide on it for five days and it fell off. I had her rough up the surface of the mole with a nail file and then applied the Apple Cider Vinegar and then about the third day just used hydrogen peroxide. She checked it today and was shocked to see it gone. I keeped the vinegar and peroxide on it until it started to sting so I knew it was taking effect. The perimeter of the mole was affected some and is a little rough but the skin underneath is pink. you can email me if you want to see a photo.

The String Method

re: mole removal (the string method)

I tried this on a medium sized-mole (maybe 5 mm in diameter). The mole was raised a little. What I did was apply HP until it turned white and raised some more, then I tied a thread around it tightly and covered it with a bandaid. It seemed to be okay after a while, but after day 2 I had to remove the string because the area was getting red and inflamed, and hurting so badly I had a headache and was beginning to get nauseous. A few days later the area is still very red, tender, and painful.

Maybe it was because I used HP first, but I think this method is probably far more painful that simply applying iodine (which I am trying on other moles with no pain so far). I would not reccomend this method.

When I first read about iodine being used for moles I was a little skeptical so I ran a test and the results so far are very interesting. Iodine definitely removes moles when applied the right way and with good frequency. I tested it on 6 moles and it removed each one. They were mostly flat, and I know most people like to remove the raised ones, but iodine seems to be a good solution for people like me with flat moes.

After reading the posts I decided to give the remedy a try on a mole ive had on my nose since I was born. The mole was raise and very darkly pigmented, about the size of a pea.

I used a safety pin to make laserations on te surface of the mole and at the base. Fair warning, there was bleeding and stinging. Using a cotton swab I applied petroleum jelly around the perimeter of the mole. Throughout the day, I dabbed the mole with vinegar, every couple of hours or so.

At night, I cut a thin slice of garlic about the size of the mole. Using the point of the knife I poked at it to get it juicy. I placed the little garlic piece over the mole and secured it into place with a bandaid. I left it on over night.

I repeated this method for five days. On the second day the mole began to scab over. After five days the mole looked pretty shriveled and was completely scabbed.

I let the scab fall off and heal. The mole was not completely removed, but I would say it is about 65% gone and the voulume of it was reduced significantly. I will be repeating the procedure to further remove the mole.

I have quite a few flat moles on my body I wanted to get rid of. I didn't feel comfortable with scraping them with a pin and using apple cider vinegar so I used coconut oil. Very disappointed but I'll keep on using it.

Okay, so I've been looking up all these different ways to get rid of moles and I decided to try the garlic one. After my decition was made I got garlic cut it up into tiny pieces, put lotion on the skin around my mole and secured the garlic with medical tape. On day one it just stung a bit. Today is day to and this morning it looked like nothing was really happening except that it actually looked bigger and before it was flat and at that moment it was kind of bolgy looking. Then I rememberd reading that people skrated their moles with needles first, so I did that and put new garlic on. I've had the garlic on all day and it still looks like it did this morning! Still worse >:( maybe I should just let it breath for a bit.... Btw guys It did darkin my surounding skin... I'm keeping my hopes high so hopefully it'll get better.. Oh yeah! Almost forgot, dont think you'll be able to hide the smell cause theres NO WAY to hide it.... BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I have been using ACV now for seven days on my disgusting moles, some are flat and some are raised. It took 4 days for me to notice any difference, but now most of them have shrivelled and are black with a scab over them. There is pink rings around where the moles are and is quite painful more than likely due to the acid in the vinegar. It seems to relieve the pain if I put moisturiser over it and aloe vera during the day. I only put Apple Cider Vinegar on at night after my shower before I go to bed.

This rot that people are saying to cut your moles to let the Apple Cider Vinegar in is pure dribble. Also apparently when they are scabbing DO NOT pick at the scabs, as it will lead to scarring. I'll keep on this website, till they are fully gone. Hope this has been some help :)

After having moles on my body all of my life I figured I was stuck with them. I had a few removed (surgically) when I was a teenager and the rest I figured I'd have forever. Until I saw this thread I figured why not give iodine a try. It couldn't hurt right? I can't believe it.

Within days the moles had dried up, and like others mentioned, formed a scab. I kept up with the iodine and low an behold the moles are gone! I had 3 prominent moles on my chest that I was always self conscious of. They're gone! Why didn't I know about this 20 years ago??? Thanks for an awesome tip!

Hi.. I forgot to mention that during the week or so that I was dabbing the CellFood Q-tip on my moles, I had to urinate much more frequently and much more suddenly (and I couldn't hold it for nearly as long as I normally can). I wondered if I was developing a UTI (which I've never had before), but I had no other symptoms/discomfort and haven't noticed it now that I haven't used the CellFood these last few days. I'm assuming maybe the CellFood was killing/releasing the fungus or whatever the cause of the mole and my body wanted to eliminate it ASAP.

Thanks, Suem! I used Cellfood and after about a week of applying regularly, the mole on my face and two on my arm have all peeled easily off.. Amazing! Now, I'm working on healing the skin around and underneath (using MSM cream and coconut oil -- usually w/ a drop or two of an essential oil (tea tree or lavindin for the anti-fungal properties or sea buckthorn for the skin nourishing properties)).. Hopefully they heal beautifully..

I recently bought a bottle of cellfood at my local health food store. I researched the uses and one of the things that they said it did was to remove moles, warts, etc. So after washing my face, I cut off the end of a q-tip and dipped the end in a drop of cellfood. I applied it directly to the moles that I had on my face. Just barely touching the mole with the cellfood, I did this several times during the evening. You have to be very careful as it can burn the surrounding tissue. It blows my mind that this morning two of my moles are gone and after another application tonight, I'm sure the other two will be gone by tomorrow morning. I removed one mole using the ACV method and it took several nights to remove and longer to heal, but this process was amazing. It is also great for burns and small cuts. BUT, there is some burning involved..... Nothing that cannot be tolerated... More like an irritation. I know this is not a cheap product, but what it can do is worth it.

This seems to work for most skin issues such as skin tags, moles, warts, even skin cancer (removes the lesion/roots but does not heal the cancer):

Mix Castor oil with baking soda. Make into a paste, like tooth paste. Dab on the lesion and cover with a band-aid. Continue doing this until lesion fall off. Be patient. The area will heal without any scaring. Edgar Casey first recommended this procedure decades ago. When you remove a lesion with acid you will normally leave a scar. Baking Soda is alkaline and safe to use. My kitty Fonzie has a lesion on his forehead. We have been dabbing this mixture on his head when we can catch him. No band-aid. It is now just a tenth of what it was. Making a video of this and will post after the lesion is gone and his fur has grown back. I've used this on myself and it has always worked well.

Garlic worked but with side effects. I tried the garlic remedy for my facial moles and I did get rid of them in four days. The only problem is my moles were very small like pinhead sized so it was difficult to apply the garlic on just the moles without the surrounding skin. So I burnt my face badly and now have bean sized black scars on my face. I have tried vitamin e oil and cream to fade the scars without success. If anyone here knows how I can fade these black scars without bleaching my face (am african) I would really appreciate.

I keep applying the shampoo until the scab falls. Before you answer if it works or not please make sure that you follow my remedy. Thank you.

Apple cider vinegar/garlic paste worked in eliminating my flat mole the size of a pencil eraser!!! After trying horseradish for two weeks, and apple cider vinegar alone for two weeks, I was frustrated and worried. The mole changed and a red circle surrounded it (I didn't use vaseline but should have in hindsight). It looked worse than ever! I decided my last attempt would be the acv/garlic paste which I applied 3-4 times a day (just applied it with a q-tip and let it dry on). At night I soaked cotton pulled off a q-tip and rolled it into a tiny ball the size of the mole and covered it with a bandaid. In the morning I removed it with cotton soaked in peroxide. A scab started forming by the second day and the whole thing fell off in two weeks. Once I was sure it was fully scabbed, I stopped the acv/garlic paste and just waited patiently for it to fall off. I've since applied coconut oil everynight and the red circle is completely gone, All that is left is now is a tiny little line that is fading each day. I am so happy and relieved!!! Thank you all for sharing!!!!

Bloodroot Paste
Posted by Gail (Sacramento, California) on 07/05/2010

Sorry to hear some are having bad experiences with bloodroot salve. The best black salve I've used for years contains bloodroot, galangal, sheep sorrel and red clover. It works on surface skin moles and warts as well as tumors beneath the skin because it kills the growth and it's roots underneath the skin. ESSENTIAL to know however, is that the user should leave the paste ONLY 12 hours. Then the paste should be thoroughly washed off removing every particle of the salve, preferably with peroxide. Vitamin E should then be applied to the wound itself, and vaseline to the bandage to prevent sticking. The wound should be redressed the same way, vitamin E on the wound and vaseline on a clean bandage 2-4 times per day. It is ESSENTIAL the user understand that to remove moles with roots or tumors beneath the skin, that the area must be kept very moist and completely covered. The growth will return ONLY if you have not killed the roots. Be prepared to witness the mini "volcano" reaction as your body pushes bits of the growth right through the skin, bit by bit. Resist the temptation to pull or prod anything off. Allow your body to push out the debris on it's own time. Just keep the area clean, moist and covered and your body will do the rest. If you've had the misfortune of harming or burning facial skin, vitamin E will help repair skin damage at the cellular level. Be sure to use natural vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) liberally on those areas at night. If facial growths or moles are small and appear to be without roots, a good alternative to black salve that isn't as strong is ACV or Logol's iodine. But again, apply vitamin E to surrounding skin as they can also burn skin. Many health experts also recommend taking vitamin A internally to protect the skin from further unwanted skin growths. I hope this helps!

EC: Thanks, Gail! Your feedback is being cross-posted to the Bloodroot page under "Application Tips".

Anti-dandruff shampoo cures moles. All you need is to scratch your mole, massage and leave the shampoo over the scratched mole. It will make a scab and it will fell off. Scaring is minimal. Keep applying the shampoo until the scab falls by itself in about 2-4 weeks.

I have tried all methods and applying Anti-dandruff shampoo to a scratched mole until the scab falls is by far the best method.

Ted's Mole Theory
Posted by Aria (Port Huron, Mi, Us) on 06/16/2010

Try adding 1/2 tsp. baking soda to each litre of water that you drink. I started drinking 3-4 litres per day to help alkalize my PH to get rid of a 3 year battle with MRSA. Not only was the MRSA gone within a few days but it never came back and I noticed several other "side effects". One of these effects was that my moles started shrinking from within days. I added extra virgin coconut oil to my diet a couple of times a day and most of my skin blemishes were gone within a month with no sign of their previous existence.

On the tough moles, I am adding 5% lugol's iodine right now. It has been three days and they are hard and dry. A patch of scab from one fell off last night to expose pink skin so I think it's working. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
