After checking this site, I purchased activated charcoal for the relief of gas. I've been suffering for months with gas pains in my stomach & colon & activated charcoal is the only thing that has provided me with any relief. I feel considerably better!!! I take 2 capsules whenever i start to feel 'yuck'. Thank you sooo much for Earth Clinic!!

For GAS the best thing is to buy CHARCOAL PILLS ..they have coated (pink) and uncoted (black) its not medicine..its staright powder charcoal. take 2 at once. It absorbs toxins in your body ..like gas... they give it to poeple(in higher dose) when they overdose on drugs.

its perfectly safe...but checking with doctor is always good idea...every person is different.

{!!!} ONLY WARNING: if you are taking medicine for something...wait an hour before taking the charcoal...it will absorb ALL Toxins, that includes medicine you have taken.

I WISH YOU THE BEST!!!

Anise Seeds

Whenever anyone in the family has gas, we pop a tsp of anise seed into the mouth and chew it thoroughly, swallow it. It will completely stop the gassiness, and very quickly, too. I don't have exact measurements, but I'd say 1/2 teaspoon of whole seed. Chewing it thoroughly is important, and swallow it.

I tried a couple teaspoons of baking soda mixed in about one-half to three-quarters cup of water to relieve debilitating gas pains. Within about five minutes, the relief was setting in. After about 15 minutes, the gas pains were gone. It did cause me to expel some gas, too, which I was unable to do beforehand.

I had horrible gas too for the longest time (since I got married 2 years ago). I do think it was partly because of birth control pills but I took acidophilis and I'm not smelling horrible any more!!

Upon ur suggestion I have tried the organic apple cider vinegar. Well, it seems it has started working. Now I don't feel lots of gas in my stomach.although some of it still remains. I think it will go too. Thanks to the acv but it should be organic. Don't drink it neat. It will harm ur throat. mix with quarter glass of water or juice. drink after having ur lunch and again after dinner.

Be careful when drinking Apple Cider Vinegar neat as it can ruin the enamel of your teeth. Drink it with a straw so that it does not touch teeth and after that rinse teeth.

It can harm your esophagus too. Mixing with water and honey is yummy and equally effective (sans honey too).

Wonderful and informative site. I love it. Wayne, I am in total agreement with you. Angostura Bitters is just great. We use it for upset stomach, belly aches hangover etc. Adds great flavor to west indian cooking and drinks. Nothing beats a cool glass of lemonade/limeade with a few drops of AB on a hot day. I am using the ACV and soda remedy and seeing some results already. Will post comments in the near future. Keep up the good work. Peace and Love

I don't usually get gas but got busy and drank way too much coffee and practically no water all day so it was a bit of a puzzle to come here and find that I have nearly every remedy listed! LOL! Which to choose, which to choose - eeny meeny - I saw a lot about baking soda (yuck) but when I saw that someone used just 1/4 tsp of baking soda in water, I went with that and got some instant relief with a belch. I'm going to mix some light charcoal water, drink that and go to bed. Thanks again guys!!! Hugs!!

Coconut Oil

I take coconut oil capsules. They clear constipation. They are also anti-fungal. They work great! I too get this appendix like pain and found that if I take two wormwood combination capsules (cloves, wormwood and black walnut hull), the pain goes away. Just take 2 before eating for a couple of weeks.

I had major gas in my stomach for days and I couldn't get it out. I remember seeing the movie Doc Hollywood with Michael J Fox and they cured a little boy with a bottle of Coca Cola. So I tried it and it worked. If you ever have gas building up your stomach drink a coke.

Ginger Ale also seems to help break up the trapped gas right away.

Psyllium or Flax Seed

Psyllium or Flax Seed for Gas

whipple operation for duodenal cancer, psyllium, and flax seed meal. After my cancer operation in 1991 I suffered terrible flatulence - gas in both directions. It was a difficult time for several years - my doctors prescribed pancreatic enzymes that were useless.

Eventually I realized because of the removal of my duodenum, digestion of oils and fats especially was impeded. I was better avoiding all oils and fats, but that was not a long term solution. My triglycerides were elevated and I was slowly depleting my essential oils and drying out based on my skin condition. Adding back essential oils (flax mixture) brought my tryglicerides back to normal in the first week but my original gaseous problems were still there.

Eventually, after 10 years or so, I discovered psyllium seed that cured the condition entirely when I added it mixed in water before major meals - or before oily or in some cases even when I indulged in pig-out foods. My movements still were not perfect and recently, only the last 5 months or so I discovered flax seed meal or powder is even better - not quite as course in elimination and adding substantially more vitamins and nutrients as I understand it.

Either of course would be a life saver for anyone else out there who's an outcast because of runaway flatulence.

ACV took away my (gas) pain! I, too, suffer from terrible gas -- just about everything in my heathy diet gives me a problem. Have tried many other things, such as Beano, Gas-X, etc. Nothing really made much difference. Decided to try the ACV, and have noticed a remarkable improvement in just one week: hardly any gas pains, rumbling noises, bloating -- just a little amount (normal) of flatulence in the a.m. I take a couple of tablespoons after meals, straight out of the bottle.

I suffer from very bad gas. I used to be a fast food junkie and now eat lots of fruits veggies, and whole grains. I started using apple cidar vinegar to help with digestion since some of my gas didn't go away with cutting back the fast food. The Apple Cidar Vinegar really helps with these symptoms. I take 2 tbsp in the morning after breakfast, 2 after lunch and 2 or 3 tbsp before bed. I know it's alot but I now don't have strange noises coming from my stomache region while out in public.

I was curious about ACV and decided to take a 2T shot of it. Yikes! I thought I had poisoned myself. It burned my throat, my esophogus, and stomach sooooo bad! After I realized I wasn't going to die (ha ha) I started to relax. Later in the evening I kept thinking...What is this feeling I'm feeling? I realized it was what I wasn't feeling...heartburn, gas and muscle pain. I might try it again...this time diluted of course.
