Yes I was suffering awful stabbing pains in the right side of my upper abdomen, I think it might have been a gallstone. However, after taking only one tablespoon of apple cider vineger in some warm water the pain has now gone.

Why do they have to take out the gall bladder? Can't they just take the stone out and stitch it back?

Apple Cider Vinegar, Vitamin D

ACV blasts gallstones! I was doing a cholesterol cleanse with the Atkins protocol, and cleared out the smaller ones, but the bigger ones were very painful- so I took 1 quart of ACV over 3 days and they were gone, confiremd wiht ultrasound, the tech just knew he would find stones because "everyone " has stones. but they were gone!

However, I found I had to keep them away with high dose vitamin D. For me that is 25,000 IU a day.

I have gallstones as well. Can you please give me detailed instructions on what and how much to drink at what time and for how long. Thank you

Hi,

Can you please share the detailed instructions about how exactly you did this ACV protocol? Did you drink like 333ml (1/3rd of a quart) per day for 3 days? Did you dilute the ACV with anything? Did you divide in smaller doses? Did you eat/drink anything else beside the ACV during those 3 days?

Please could you please detail your protocol exactly, I really want to try it... What does vitamin D have to do with gallstone prevention? Thank you.

Epsom Salt

I have epsom salt here at home, Does anyone know if I can I just make my own capsules for a gallbladder cleanse from that, or are the ready made capsules a different type of salt?

Magnesium Chloride
Posted by Toourlady89 (Ca, Usa) on 08/26/2013

There are studies that confirms Magnesium supplementation prevents gallstone formation by lowering cholesterol in the blood. If there is already gallstones formed, it also can help dissolve it. It will take time. Magnesium Chloride was the studied mineral. They also advise to eat foods rich in Magnesium such as green leafy veges, nuts such as almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Mg Chloride comes as liquid or capsules or tablets.

I have had some success. I had a large stone 2.1 cm in 2011 and the Dr said it was up to me if I wanted to get my gb removed. He said a large stone only puts pressure on the duct, but wont get stuck in it. I already knew I would opt for surgery anyway since the gb is very important! I called my naturopath up and she suggested I drink a very warm glass of water with the juice of a yellow lemon every morning on an empty stomach. This thins the bile. A few days later my pain was gone. I then did a liver flush with some herbs, cascara sagrada and beet root formula. Followed with olive oil and gIrapefruit juice. Didn't notice too much difference from that, but I'm sure it helped. I changed my diet to include plenty of fats (i eat eggs over easy, avocados, cheese, meat, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, etc. ) and eliminated grains and most sugars. I supplemented daily with sunflower lethicin, magnesium, vitamins, and drank my lemon water every morning. In 2012 I had a second ultrasound done on my gallbladder and the stone was 40% dissolved. My doctor was in disbelief to say the least! He told me he had really doubted me in going a natural route but that he is happy I have done so well. I no longer have pain so I'm anxiously awaiting my upcoming scan this summer to see what's left!

Here's a question by chance you will see it and be able to answer.

Could you describe this..... liver flush with some herbs, cascara sagrada and beet root formula. Followed with olive oil and gIrapefruit juice......A bit more. Especially how you took the cascara and beet root formula...how much...

HI U JENNIE,,,,,,,,,,,,, since I's SJS, what did you just say? Did you say that liver flushes are good or bad.

We do liver flushes a couple of times a year per Hulda Clark's protocol. Are you telling us that we are pissin up a rope?

Actually they are false, flushes do not work. A lady went in to hospital and had her 'stones' checked when she carried on having pain and they melted when heat was applied. Flushes are dangerous and left many in emergency surgery.

Stevenson & Carole: I found a very interesting website and hope you'll have some time to take a look. It's a journey that one man took to save his gallbladder as well. While he has not had a follow up scan, he states that he is completely symptom free. I may incorporate some of his suggestions while keeping up with my bean consumption.

http://keepingmygallby.wordpress.com/

I don't know about how you both handled this, but I'm finding it extremely hard to eat anything more than these beans! Other than my morning coffee and cream which I absolutely can not give up. That is my drug of choice! I grind my beans every morning and when I want true decedance, I enjoy my cream and espresso's with my Nespresso machine. Granted, I cut my consuption down to 2 cups a day, but I refuse to give it up. :-)

Carole, I'm a bit concerned about the tamarind. Although I actually have tamarind paste in my pantry as I type, I did a very brief search and found that while it helps the liver, it is not so good for one that has gallstone issues. Here are 2 links that I stumbled across. Perhaps I'm reading it incorrectly? http://www.botanical-online.com/english/tamarind_properties.htm & http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16041099

I did however come across some unnerving info in regards to legumes and gallbladder, which I would like some input/opinioins. I will continue this regimen knowing what Stevenson has experienced, but still somewhat concerned.

I am enjoying tamarind - so worth looking at that for gb support.
- And I like dandelion root coffee (good for bile support).
- Also, coconut is a good source of protein.
- Chia seed is also a good source of protein/fibre. a tiny seed packed full of goodness.
- I am loving my bean soup; avocado, beetroot and bean salads and salmon, rice and beans. ?It is so rewarding to be able to eat and not be fearful of what might happen.... as we know the pain can be very scary!

Good luck

Carole, thanks for sharing that info! I posted yesterday here, but it never showed up. It seems the moderators pick and choose what is displayed, which is not such a good thing really. If this post gets through and anyone can recommend another site to post my ultrasound scan let me know please.

Hi Carole,

I know your post is old, however what was your outcome? Did you have surgery? I've been doing everything you're doing since January 2015, I haven't had a cleanse yet to remove stones but taking all the same as you listed plus more to increase liver bile. I have a large stone over 2 cm plus smaller. I see a Alternative Health Dr as well. She wanted prepare my body before attempting a flush. I'm worried for stone to get stuck. Bile duct is normal no issues, gallbladder inflammation was .06 in January last week down to .02. Now I'm worried all the expenses to go natural vs surgery. I hate thought surgery but what point do people just do it? I cannot drink a lot of apple juice it gave me full body over load of yeast, so Malic Acid tablet plus eat pears and apples. So any other great cleanses without drinking Apple juice week before or day of would be appreciated. Thanks Everyone

General Feedback
Posted by Theherbwitch (Camden, Sc, Usa) on 06/24/2012

I used to own 3 herb stores, and I have assisted many, many, people (including myself), in removal of gallstones through diet/herb combinations. Not only is it highly probable that you can be successful doing this, you must also realize that rarely does one remove the stones from more than one bile duct at a time using a cleanse. Therefore, it is necessary (and most people do NOT like this) to REPEAT the cleanse once every other month for a few months, in order to get rid of the stones, then go on an herbal maintenance program to address the cholesterol issues one had to have in the first place for the stones to form. The bile ducts are like "fingers"between the liver and gall bladder. When the stones block this opening, this is when an "attack" occurs. Also, cleaning the colon FIRST is not optional, as you can get very sick if you don't. Ihaveseen many, many people do a cleanse, get rid of a JARFUL of stones, then go back to their old dietary habits and change nothing, then are shocked when they have to have a gall bladder removed, on an emergency basis, because it is diseased and dysfunctional.

Olive Oil and Lemon Juice, Dietary Changes
Posted by Dan (Hollywood, Fl, U.S.A.) on 09/04/2010

I have been flushing my gallbladder on occasion for the last approximately 18 years simply using 10-12 ounces of olive oil taken a few ounces every 15 minutes followed by a sip of lemon juice.

I am a 52 year-old male, 6 ft. Tall, 150 pounds. I have been a Vegan for 27 years, eating a mostly raw food diet. Yet, I still get a gallbladder full of
Gallstones periodically (twice in the last 4 years.) I had always attributed this to occasionally eating foods cooked in oil or roasted nuts, as these indulgences would result in either a gallbladder attack or extreme discomfort. However, everything I have been reading says that these green wax-like stones are comprised mainly of cholesterol which my girlfriend informed me only comes from animal products. Therefore my experience tells me that the cholesterol theory may be incomplete. In my search to eliminate gallstone producing fats from my diet I stopped eating "raw" cashews because they are heated in the shelling process and so are actually not raw. Does anyone have any ideas on why non-cholesterol eating people get gallstones?

Olive Oil and Lemon Juice
Posted by Monika (Lawrence, Ks) on 08/17/2013

The reason why it is important to take the apple juice for a week or so before the cleanse is because it contains malic acid, which softens the stones. Last thing you want is to pass a non-soft stone. Also traditionally the Olive oil/lemon mixture is done after several servings of either epsom salt, or in my case Magnesium Citrate to clean you out. Good luck.

I really like this since I'm not in much pain except my stomach feels knotted and hungry with a slight back pain between shoulder blades. It is easy and I'm already doing the morning hot water with the squeeze bottle but will switch to fresh lemons.

Milk Thistle, Dandelion, Magnesium

Have you considered that the stones passed are from more than just the Gall bladder? So it's really not that preposterous, just not well understood. This is not a claim of veracity either or of proof that they are stones. Thanks for your post, it supplement's Ted's post well.

Hello I have a question about Milk Thistle and Dandelion, are these really effective in curing Gallstones. My mom has a big Gallstone and two smaller ones. If she really wants to be cured then she will need to do a liver/gallbladder flush. Google Hulda Clark liver/gallbladder flush or cleanse. Chanca piedra can be helpful for breaking down the stones as well.

After reading a lot of articles about dealing with gallstones in the USA, I found out that a little is mentioned, or not at all, about laser surgery that has been for long time in practice in european countries for removing gallstones. Ask your doctor about it... Also, a very good remedy for lowering or getting rid of a bad cholesterol is a homemade apple vinegar. It tastes like an apple cider, just it's very sour. If you have a chance to come across a book of bosnian homemade remedies, get it! Also, dates are very good fruit for the women who cannot get pregnant.
