I took Chanca Piedra for a gallstone issue I had. I have had some issues with my gallbladder for some time. Swedish Bitters (there's a non-alcoholic version) helped ease the pain, and if I had too much of something creamy (cheese, milk, yogurt) it would resolve it. But an ultrasound revealed a stone and the doctor said it wouldn't pass because it was too big.

I found also through research the Chanca Piedra. I bought a box of the tea off Amazon. I felt such relief quickly. I took it until the pain was gone, a few days. Then it started again. So I took it again until the pain was gone, a few days. I always stopped when the pain was gone. Within a month, it must have broken up and passed. I have not had pain or issues there since. I still have the original box with a few bags remaining, and I gave 2 bags to friends. The tea tastes nice too! ~ Lisa

Yes, your body keeps making stones. Most people have thousands of stones stored in the liver. The problems come when they are a little larger than the ducts they have to pass through, that's when the gall bladder/liver pain comes and GB/liver flushes are needed. Many people go through the life with no issues at all because the stones are small enough that they can pass through unnoticed. So keep going. I find for myself maintence cleanses are needed every other month in order to have normal liver/GB function.

All I can say is Thank you!!! Because it worked! But I also was taking 2T vinegar diluted in water three times a day, Chanca Piedra three times a day and lemon essential oil in a capsule twice a day during my apple fast diet. In-between apples I drank lots of apple juice. 10 hrs after the olive oil-grapefruit juice mixture I passed over 12 stones!

I am well acquainted with gallstones and the flush. I have one comment on " eating cleanly" as referenced above. Low fat diets and fasting, skipping meals are causes of gallstones. The gallbladders main job is to emulsify fats. A normal happy gallbladder squirts out a quart a day if bile. If it doesn't get the chance to do that, it concentrates and forms stones.

I learned over multiple times of the flush that something in my physiology was forming them faster and the flush was pretty exhausting. Finally I tried MSM after listening to a Mercola interview with Dr Stephanie Seneff on sulfur. That was the one nutrient I hadn't been sure to get. MSM combined with TMG ( a glyphosate detox nutrient made from beets) pretty much cured my gallstones and chronic 13 year diarrhea ( which originated from retaking childhood vaccines to get into nursing school, expensive mistake). I do have to be careful to stay on those as otherwise they come back quickly. I have also helped two people with gallstones, my husband one of them, and MSM worked within an hour.

Also, I had learned coffee is a gall bladder stimulator, and pops stones out 75% of the time and cumin is also a gallbladder stimulator. That's what I looked for, things that would cause it to squeeze. Not making it squeeze out ( low fat diets) will just leave old bile to concentrate.

I am eating lots of beets. I shred them and put Lemon juice and Olive Oil on them. When I think I am ready for a cleanse, I will take Apple Pectin, as that opens up the gallbladder duct. Beets and Lemon Oil is what many people have told me. Standard Process has a supp for Gallbladder and it contains beets! Also, I am told Sauerkraut juice. I am also taking B6 of 100mg and Magnesium Citrate, I think 400mg or so. I also have cut out almost ALL oils except Avocado Oil which bypasses the Gallbladder. Apple Juice/Apple cider is supposed to be good also. I was told today that the big Olive Oil and Lemon Juice flush doesn't really work. I respect this chiro doc as he is very informed. Mostly, need to support the Liver. The gallbladder doesn't make the stones, the Liver does.

One of the easiest and most effective methods for gallstone removal is just to take 1000 mgs of organic chanca piedra capsules(or just drink the tea form) three times a day at mealtimes. CP dissolves the stones by making the calcium in the stones more soluble. Chanca piedra will also get rid of kidney stones in the same manner and has a high reputation for clearing excess calcium problems -- like gallstones and kidney stones -- in the body.

Gallstones aren't really a gall bladder problem at all -- they are a liver problem which primarily occurs due to too much calcium(too much dairy) and too much fats and oils(especially vegetable oils) in the diet. So taking milk thistle, ALA and selenium will also help the liver to cope which will also help you to avoid gallstone problems in the future. Taking a teaspoon of granulated lecithin at mealtimes is also highly beneficial for the liver and for gallstone removal and prevention.

The fact that you can't gain weight could also indicate very poor digestion. Taking Betaine Hydrochloride, protease enzymes and alkalizing with sodium bicarbonate and water should help to improve this problem and help you gain weight as well.

* Take betaine hydrchloride tablets with every meal. This will help to supply the necessary chlorides and will address the root cause of your stomach acid problem.

* Take pancreatic enzymes containing bromelain and papain at every meal. This will aid proper protein digestion in both the stomach and duodenum.

* Take Sea Salt(not refined table salt) -- 1/4 to 1/2 tspn with water once per day -- outside mealtimes. This helps to supply chlorides for proper stomach acid production. It also helps to supply minerls to the body.

* Take Magnesium Chloride -- 1/4 teaspoon once per day -- taken at mealtme. This also helps to supply chlorides for proper stomach digestion. It also helps the liver and aids in killing off pathogens in the intestines. Magnesium will also help dissolve your gallstones.

* Alkalize the intestines using Ted's Sodium Bicarbonate and water remedy. Take this remedy 1/2 hr to 1 hour after every meal. This remedy helps to promote proper alkaline digestion in the upper intestine and also addresses a possible lack of bicarbonates in the pancreatic juices.

*(Optional) Kelp Extract -- regular advised dosage -- Iodine is also necessary to help regenerate stomach acid.

Regarding your intestinal crawling sensations, it's also fairly well known that parasites can hide in amongst gallstones and your crawling sensation in the intestines might be related to this. So best to get yourself checked for parasites as well. The Hulda Clark remedy is a good one to get rid of parasites.

Dear Marnie,

Yes - I use a heating pad with my castor oil packs. You aren't supposed use a heating pad overnight, but I do since mine only has a low setting.

Sometimes if I use a pack during the day I will just leave it in place and go about my normal activities without the heat. But the heat really helps.

Bee: I once had the same problem and mostly resolved by taking Milk Thistle Seed. MTS is best taken with Turmeric Root and Artichoke Leaf.

Consider some Liver building nutrition like Raw or Cooked Chicken or Calf Liver. If you haven't any Mycoplasma infection, take an amino acid supplement of Arginine/Ornithine/Lysine. Since I got the myco I must drop the Arginine but don't function well at all without the Ornithine & Lysine. My Liver function goes flat without the formentioned.

Menthol Cough Drops, which also contain Eucalyptus, are my regular remedy for melting gallstones but if they get too many or too large the flush will be needed.

Not only mycoplasma but fungal infections in general cause increases in LDL Cholesterol and Gallstones so be sure to eliminate these pathogens as much as possible.

If you use the olive oil/lemon juice/garlic w/ magnesium sulfate cleanse, the stones appear as bright green pebbles floating in the toilet with your bowel movement the next day.

Google hulda clark liver cleanse. It's basically olive oil/lemon juice and epsom salts to relax the ducts and let the stones pass through. Works great.

This is for those with low blood pressure who would like to take chanca piedra: take 1 mg of licorice root with some warm water that has 1/2 to 1 tsp sea or Himalayan salt added. If planning to take the chanca piedra herb for length of period, please monitor blood pressure regularly to look for hypertension as licorice root will increase body salt retention. Adjust as neccessary.

Hi Jeanette. Gallstones

I will share a story with you..I was having really bad pain in my gallbladder so assuming they were stones.. I like you did not want to do a whole flush so instead I did the apple juice in the ACV and also lemons.. Then I drank two or three cups of the chanca piedra tea maybe every two days.. Well I have been eliminating stones; a lot of stones.. large ones that I couldn't believe and small ones.. I must have had over 100 stones;maybe more.. The pain now is down to a one from over a ten ... I believe the stone breaker tea (chanca piedra) really does break up the stones and the ACV and apple juice loosens up the stones.. I am shocked myself that this really works.. I got the tea from Amazon or Sunfoods sells it also..

Recently learned I have gallstones (ugh).

Performed a successful liver/stone flush. While I feel some better, I'm still experiencing gallstone related symptoms (i. E. Nausea, gas, acid reflux, gurgling sounds, asthma attacks, allergies, etc. ) Sought a way to deal w/the attacks, while preparing for next flush in a few weeks. With a google search, found this site and the Apple Cider Vinegar solution. Figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Thrilled to report, it worked...!

I obtained apple cider vinegar (w/out the mother) and combined with organic apple juice (both generic store brands at local health food store). Result was a tangy, delicious drink. Within minutes, I started to feel relief.

Thanks so much to those that shared this worked for their symptoms, and thanks to earthclinic. Com, for making this resource available on-line!

Hi Darryl,

I ate 1-2 apples every 2-3hrs or whenever I felt hungry. I ate a variety of types of apples so I wouldn't get too bored. I even baked some green apples whole at dinner with a raw one for desert. Optimally is to have nothing but raw apples go through your system for minimum of 24hrs as it is the natural acids in the apples that break the stones down. Best of luck

Several years ago I had an ultrsound done and they found that I have four large gallstones about 2cm in size. Of course my doctor wanted me to have my gallbladder taken out but I would not consent. Over the years I have done numerous liver/gallbladder flushes but these gallstones are to big to flush. I would like to dissolve them and I want to find out what the best formula for doing this is. I am not only interested in the formula/substance but also want to know the science behind how it works.

A friend of mine who is into natural remidies recomended a South American herb called Chanca Piedra which he said translates as "break stone. " I can't find any dosage information or instructions on the most effective way to use it. I have made tea with it but am considering putting it into capsules. If you have information regarding this herb and the most effective way to take it I would be interested. I am also interested if you know of any other substance that would dissolve these monster stones I have.

Sincerely, L.M.

I was diagnosed with "Focal Caliectasia" in my right kidney via ultra sound 4 years ago. Per doctor's recommendation, I need to undergo further IV xray which I did not follow because of fear. I just leave it as is.

After reading EarthClinic several times, I decided to take 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of lemon juice and followed by 500 ml of water for the kidney cleanse regimen two weeks ago. I'm not aware if anything came out when I urinate but one thing for sure when I have my bowel movement I saw something floated. I took the same regimen last night and again something floated. This time, I used chopstick to pick them one by one and I was surprised to see green gallstones.

I did not take any apple juice nor epson salt. I took my normal breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Breakfast - Old Fashion Oats with walnuts and almonds, Soy Coffee and Strawberry Jam Sandwich
Lunch - 1/4 Roast Chicken (Remove the skin) with one cup of White Rice and kelp with tofu soup
Snacks - Cinnamon Sweet Potato Crisps and Tien Chi Flower Tea
Dinner - Steamed sliced Lapu-lapu (grouper fish in the Philippines) with 1/2 cup Brown Rice and stir fry mustard with ground ginger & few drops of sesame oil.

I guess it all depends on the condition of your body that's why these gallstone came out with 2oz of olive oil and 2oz of freshly squeeze lemon juice.

I have been having attacks for a little over a year thinking that I had aniety problems. In the last week, I discovered that I have Gall stones and I have had an attack everyday for the last seven days. I tried taking a very hot shower and then a cold shower to shock my system, while the pain subsided nothing seemed to work. I found this site and I happened to have Apple Cider Vinegar handy along with Apple Juice. After I found this site and read the comments others posted, I tried the vinegar with Apple Juice. It has been twenty minutes and the pain is diminishing. I am very happy to land on a temporary relief for the pain. Thank you!

Gallbladder flushing.

This curement with apple juice, epsom salts, olive oil and lemon really excellent curement, to save you from operation. However I suggest you find a practitioner who does this method, so to supervise this process. It is better not to attempt it alone.

Remember this information, since is of absolute importance. This I discovered it myself and then after some months I have read it also in another article. Probably someone else discovered it also, before I discovered have discovered it.

REMEMBER THIS INFORMATION, SINCE YOU WILL RARELY SEE THIS INFORMATION, IN ANY WEBSITE AND THIS INFORMATION CAN SAVE YOU FROM VERY SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES, IN CASE A STONE IS STUCKED IN THE GALLBLADER DUCT.

HERE IS THE INFORMATION:

THE WORST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN DURING THIS FLASHING, IS THAT A STONE CAN STUCK IN THE GALLBLADDER DUCT. YOU WILL FILL A DULL CONTINUOUS PAIN BELOW YOUR RIGHT RIB. IF THIS STONE IS NOT MOVED OUT, THEN IT CAN CAUSE ICTERUS, WHICH IS A VERY SERIOUS CONDITION.

THUS IN CASE A STONE IS BEING STUCKED IN GALLBLADDER DURING A CLEANSING, SIMPLY IN FEW HOURS AFTER THE CLEANSING (ABOUT 2 TO 3 HOURS AFTER THE CLEANSING), DRINK ONE TABLE SPOON OF EPSOM SALTS AND THEN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AFTER YOU DRINK EPSOM SALTS DRINK ONCE MORE OLIVE OIL WITH LEMON MIXTURE (SAME QUANTITY AS YOU USED BEFORE, ABOUT 4/5 OF A GLASS WITH OLIVE OIL AND 1/5 OF A GLASS WITH LEMON).

THIS METHOD OF USING AGAIN IN SOME HOURS EPSOM SALTS, OLIVE OIL AND LEMON IS NOT KNOWN FROM MANY PRACTITIONERS IN CASE A STONE GETS STUCK DURING CLEANSING, THUS HAVE IT IN MIND SINCE IT CAN REMOVE STONES THAT MAY BE STUCK IN GALLBLADDER DURING CLEANSING. LEARN WELL THIS METHOD. IT CAN SAVE YOU FROM AN OPERATION.

Also in case you would like to avoid the olive Oil, Lemon, etc. protocol, whether you have small or large stones in the gallbladder, you can use directly Chanca Piedra capsules, without any Olive oil, Lemon etc. protocol.

Lemonade and Olive Oil for Gallstones

I may have already reported but haven't had any trouble since discovering remedies on EC.

I just drink lemonade in summer - and occasionally at other times of the year - and take a couple of swigs of olive oil from time to time. Seems to keep things cleared out. The lemon juice breaks down the "glue" that holds the crystals together as well as that which keeps crystals attached to the walls of the gall bladder and the olive oil just seems to grease the way on their way out.

Someone pointed out that the olive oil doesn't travel the urinary tract, which is probably true, but I suspect it is distributed through the walls and membranes, rather than the kidney/bladder path one ordinarily associates with the urinary tract if for no other reason than that it works and passing stones that should hurt like the dickens on their way through don't hurt at all, nor create blockages.

As it takes time for the crystals to grow, once formed, I suspect olive oil alone, in passing through the membranes, may actually do both jobs, detaching the crystals from the walls of the gall bladder when they're just small AND flushing them out but I like lemonade so I drink it anyway :)

Those things you see "stones" that are floating are not gallstones. That is the olive oil that has solidified. Gallstones will only sink. So be sure, okay! I'm dealing with this problem now. So I understand what you're going through.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR AND LAVENDER OIL

I have to say I was having the worst gallbladder/gallstone attack and came to earthclinic.com for help. I read that ACV and also Lavender oil helped this. I was desperate and reached over to my lavender essential oil and put one drop on my forefinger and stuck it in my mouth. Within 5 minutes my pain had subsided greatly.

I then put 2 cap-fulls of ACV into a drink. Within 10 minutes I felt 95% better!!

I have looked into research about ACV helping dissolve gallstones, so far I'm only 1.5 days in after a month-long battle. I have had oily/fatty foods without a problem!! I can't believe it is working, but I am going to stick to two cap-fulls of ACV twice a day in my drink in hopes to get rid of these gallstones I have. I've taken 3 doses of 2 cap-fulls for the past two days and have no pain! It is a miracle!

I am also now administering it topically to my boyfriend's unknown rash. I just put the first treatment on him and will update in the appropriate thread.

Thank you so much earthclinic!

Good day everybody. I want to ask are there any herbs beside chanca piedra which has the ability to dissolve large gallstone?? I am very fortunate that there are many CP plant here in my place but the problem is, I have a low blood pressure & that is the reason why I cannot take CP decoction any further because CP is known to lower blood pressure. after 4 days of taking chanca piedra decoction, I can really feel that the stones are moving inside my liver but the problem is, I'm starting to feel nausea, difficulty in breathing, feeling loss of balance when I'm standing for a few minutes etc etc all which is a sign of extreme low blood pressure so I decided to stop taking CP tea. but my other problem now is, I'm not feeling good in my right chest area as if there's a blockage that needs to be released. maybe that stones that is being moved by CP is causing the blockage and maybe if I could only take CP, it will push the stones maybe outside the liver but I just can't take CP anymore because my blood pressure is 90/60. so please help me and give me advice on what to do next. is it true that holy basil has also the ability to dissolve gallstone because I've read somewhere in this website that it is also effective in dissolving gallstone and I have a holy basil in my garden.

I just tried Organic, Raw Apple Cider Vinegar for my Gall Stone attack. I remember I had one years ago and did a cleanse with cucumbers and such. I juice fast regularly and eat healthy - until the last few months. I started eating out and now paying the price. I've drank the ACV with organic apple juice and a little water. About 3 TBS of ACV. Feeling relief right away! I've used ACV to help with so many things! Please MAKE SURE you use the raw, organic ACV or you will get sick. I promise - you'll get sick.

Olive Oil and Lemon Juice

I came across this site in a search for natural gallstone remedies. Last week I had intense bloating and a trapped gas feeling that would last a few hours then subside. I went to see my doc and he sent me to the ER as a precaution. They did blood tests and said I had mild pancreatitis :( They did an ultrasound and they said I had a small stone or a couple of small stones in my gall bladder. Right away they were talking about taking it out and I said NO WAY. They also wanted to to an MRCP to see if there was a stone or stones in the bile duct. My amylase and lipase were high upon arrival, but overnight, with nothing by mouth, not even water, my numbers dropped a thousand or more points. I graduated to liquids ( I was admitted ) and put on IV fluid with potassium and magnesium. Next day there, numbers within normal range ( higher end ) and I was put on solid but low fat food. I went to ER late friday afternoon and came home Tuesday around same time, by that day my numbers were normal range. While in the hospital, a Facebook friend told me about lemon juice and olive oil and I started researching. While there I requested apple juice and lemon wedeges and I age them. I think it helped. Since I am home, I am doing lemon juice and olive oil every day, so far so good. But I am wondering if the mild pancreatitis was not due to long term, but intermittent Immodium use because of irritable bowl, as certain foods seem to go right through me. Lately they seem to be finding a connection between Immodium and pancreatitis, so I don't know. Any thoughts on me trying the full cleanse ? I have yet to try ACV, but am going to go get some. I am drinking organic apple juice now. They say pears are good and if you look at pears, they are shaped like a gall bladder and are green. Many foods look like the organ they are good for. I was so shocked by the attack, but it seems more and more younger people are getting gallstones these days. All the hydrogenated oils and high fructose corn syrup and crap in our water. I felt much better and never felt acidic when I was on a lower carb diet, I have to go back to that too.

Most of the large visible "stones" from these olive oil flushes have been proven to be saponified fat from ingesting all that olive oil; it's likely smaller, actual gall stones could be flushed out too, but my N.D. warned me these flushes could be very dangerous for people with stones experiencing attacks as they trigger the spasming of the GB and could cause stones to release and become stuck. She advised me to eat an 80% pesco-vegan diet, and take peppermint, vit. C, fish oil, and lecithin capsules 3x daily to help prevent, soften, and dissolve stones. Also to reduce or cut alcohol intake, and drink LOTS of water to keep bile flow moving. So far I have been attack-free for 3 months, only some twinges now and then when I am stressed, dehydrated, or not eating well.

Hi. I'm afraid the liver does not have the power to saponification fats of anything else for that matter. If you look into this thoroughly you'll find it was falsified research. Flushes are safe and effective but as with anything must be done properly and to a proven protocol.

An update on my situation. I have just had another scan which shows that the only change in my gallstone is that it has got bigger! It is now measuring 3.1cms. For the past three months I have been on an intensive protocol to help dissolve? break up the stone? However.... There has been no indication that the herbs have done anything! I have been using Gold Coin Grass as a tea and also a tincture. I have also been using Chanca Piedra as a tincture and also a tea and have just started a herbal supplement. Other things to help the situation.... Drinking lots of chamomile tea/lemon juice (helps to dissolve gallstones); dandelion coffee/beetroot (helps improve bile flow). Tamarind for gallbladder support.

Has anybody actually had any success with dissolving large gallstones using herbs? And how much of anything does one need to take for it to be effective. The Chanca Piedra (for instance) suggests just one 500mg capsule per day.

I did do one gb/liver flush a few weeks' ago and it was fine and the discomfort was better for a little while. However, I keep being advised not to attempt any flushes with such a large stone. Surgery would seem to be my only option.... which is sad when I have put so much effort into trying to keep the gb.

I'd appreciate any help.

Hi Wyandatte. (Canada)

I had tons of gallstones.. I have no idea which kind they were but they were very painful.. I first did the apple cidar vinegar and apple juice to loosen them up and then drank a few cups of the chanca piedra tea most days.. I expelled some huge stones .. I couldn't believe how big they were.. I expelled lots of broken up stones..and small stones.. all kinds of stones and some other weird stuff lol...Anyway; its been three months and my pain as of today is either a one or not here at all.... I don't know if calcified stones pass through but at that point I didn't care. I was willing to take the chance and get these painful stones out...
