Thank you Art. I stopped my omega 3 2 grams daily as my INR has been 1.4 for 2 years also my tumeric as both are blood thinners and I was duped into thinking I would get my teeth extraction done. 3 weeks ago I restarted 1 gram and now I will add another gram as soon as my stomach can tolerate as I finished today a very successful liver/gall bladder flush which gives me a lot of nausea. My D3 Is excellent as we do not get alot of sun in London. Because of Earth Clinic I have made a great breakthrough. May I trouble you with my biggest worry as the "awake" health Internet is full of stories about graphine oxide in dental injections. Here is a Romanian American qualified doctor with a PhD in molecular science showing proof. She lives in USA. Https://rumble.com/v3xti7w-electron-microscopy-of-comirnaty-moderna-c19-shots-dental-anestetics-and-pn.html There are no whistle blowers here, and dentists have been full of rage at me for not using fluoride toothpaste (use natural - recommended by EC). IM 69 and the liver disease took so much calcium and minerals out if my bones and teeth which suppliments cannot rectify. No I'm take taking calcium supplements or Fosomax. What are people doing as its been a 4 Yr battle with my liver, pancreas and gall bladder, then to be hit with irrepairable toxins as we can't afford chelation . Optimism and gratitude is my focus with God and EC at my side - I just would not be able to cope. Thank you for your sacrificial time, Joyce

Hi again, Joyce,

I'm glad to hear that silymarin was beneficial for you and now higher dose chanca piedra (CP) seems like a reasonable consideration. Now you know that 1 gram per day will be insufficient for the task at hand. If its action is similar in time to its effects for kidney stones, you could potentially see improvement in the first month.

Other possible considerations are making sure your vitamin d level is well into the upper portion of the reference range which is 30 to 100 ng/ml or 75 to 250 nmol/l.

To put more pressure on reducing ALP and GGT you might consider fish oil / omega 3's at a minimum of 2 grams/day as used in the study and discussed here:

https://www.bioresearchcommunications.com/index.php/brc/article/view/43#:~:text=Conclusion: After analyzing the results, in type-2 diabetes mellitus.

Here is a relevant quote from the study :

' In this study ALP (Alkaline- Phosphatase) and GGT(gamma[1]glutamyltransferase) were reduced in diabetic patients after supplementation with omega-3 fatty acid in comparison to that of their baseline value. Again, after 12 weeks, ALP(Alkaline Phosphatase) and GGT(gamma glutamyltransferase) were decreased in diabetic patients after supplementation with omega-3 fatty acid in comparison to control group. '

Good luck and keep us posted!

Dear Art, you kind thorough reply is so encouraging to me. This is the brand of milk thistle I have been taking for 3 months: INNOPURE Organic Milk Thistle Capsules - Premium Quality, High Strength 1 Capsule Provides 3800mg - Soil Association & Vegan Society Certified - 80% Silymarin (60 Capsules) UK Made https://amzn.eu/d/6Ixj05K Previously for the past 3 years I only took 140 mg Because I read your testimony previously on taking 3 gram of chanca piedra ( also read there are no serious side effects) After 2 months of flushes and increased silymarin my ALP and GGT went down 200 points But it's still 200 points higher than normal and MY ALT is now normal. By faith I will start the chandra piedra ( the brand you wrote about) and do the flushes as everything I have read about cholangitis it's intrahepatic stones blocking flow causing sludge. I'm facing my consultant in early March (that's if they are not striking again) or hospitals cancelling appointments due this new "pandemic x" Last she said was if I dont improve they want to take my gall bladder out and do another liver biopsy, which I will not give consent. I cant waste any time. I will be thrilled to submit a glorious stabilisation of healing on earth clinic to encourage others. With deepest appreciation, Joyce

Hi Joyce,

The following 2021 human study suggests that CP may not lower elevated liver enzymes or improve other liver function parameters at 1 gram per day :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8764976/

Here is a relevant quote from the study :

' Serum levels of liver and renal function parameters failed to demonstrate significant improvement with P. niruri. However, there was a statistically significant increase in the level of total antioxidants with P. niruri (P = 0.034) with an additional appetite stimulant activity (P = 0.03) in 4 weeks. '

However this 2021 study in humans with trauma and elevated liver enzymes showed that Silymarin at a fairly low dose of 140 mg three times per day for a total of 420 mg of silymarin per day was effective at significantly lowering some elevated liver enzymes in just 14 days while also improving antioxidant status :

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8284169/

Here is a relevant study quote :

' At baseline, there were no significant differences between the silymarin and placebo group in terms of ALT, AST and ALP. AST and ALP levels were not significantly different between the two groups on day 3 (p = 0.43 and p = 0.75, respectively) but they were significantly lower on days 7, 9 and 14 in silymarin treated patients (p = 0.04, p < 0.001 and p < 0.001 for AST and p = 0.041, p = 0.027 and p < 0.001 for ALP, respectively). ALT level was also significantly lower in the silymarin group on days 9 and 14, compared to the placebo group (p < 0.001 for both days), while no significant difference was found on days 3 and 7. '

To be fair regarding CP, it is worth noting that they only used 1 gram per day whereas I use 3 grams or 3, 000 mg/day for kidney stones. Still, they got significant enzyme reduction as well as improved antioxidant status with just 140 mg of Silymarin three times per day for a total of just 420 mg of silymarin per day, in just 14 days!

Here is just one supplement that supplies 140 mg of silymarin per capsule on Amazon :

https://www.amazon.com/Herb-Pharm-Thistle-Extract-Silymarin/dp/B005SHKRQM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=17V1UZ5EK73SR&keywords=silymarin+140+mg&qid=1705720888&sprefix=silymarin+140+mg,aps,129&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1

I am not recommending this just pointing out that there are some suppliers who offer milk thistle capsules containing 140 mg of silymarin as used in the study. There are other supplements that offer beneficial liver effects, but silymarin seems like it is worth having on your consideration list.

Because of having very elevated LFTs for almost a year (cholestatic liver with PBC), I have done 2 Liver and gall bladder flushes, and parasite cleanses. The levels have gone down 200 points, but they still are at least 150 points too high. I'm thinking of starting chanca piedra and still continue to have Liver and gall bladder flush. I also take TUDCA and a bile salt. Thank you for your help as it's so hard to take care of yourself and see your body deteriorate. Is it a good idea to take the chanca piedra and flushes?

A friend of ours related a story to us that I thought I would share.

Her elderly mother was in the hospital. Her mother has many health problems including dementia and heart problems. (I am not even sure why she was in the hospital.)

While in the hospital, her mother was having severe pain but couldn't tell them why (due to the dementia) and our friend and the staff were mystified.

Then our friend remembered that her mother had a history of kidney stones. She asked the doctor if they could check. Sure enough she had kidney stones, according to a scan. They wanted to do surgery, but it would be a few days out and of course, surgery had its own risks with her age and health problems.

Our friend asked if they could try Stone Breaker herb, that her mother had used it before. The hospital was not willing. They said they didn't know how it might interact with her medications, and she had a feeding tube so that complicated giving it to her.

Well, surgery was taking a while to schedule and our friend was very kind and but persistent. She finally found a doctor to agree to try it, even though, he said, it wouldn't help.

They gave her stone breaker 4 times a day. After a couple of days, it was clear that the pain was gone. Surgery seemed to have been forgotten and they were going to send her home.

Our friend asked if they could check about the kidney stones. The doctor was reluctant but did another scan, and what do you know, the stones were gone!

There are several morals to the story - one is that hospital patients benefit greatly by having an advocate, family who knows them, especially. Second is that kindness goes a long way, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar, as the old saying says. And third, stone breaker works!

After having had my knee drained several times - calcium in the meniscus. Pseudo gout, I started taking a chanca piedra tablet 5 days a week. I have not had a flare up since even though I did bruise my meniscus on a recent bikepacking trip - I did not have a flare up where I certainly would have been off to get it drained in the past

Hi Lacusman in Ghana,

Chanca Piedra Tea (Sometimes known as "Stone-Breaker" Tea)

Preparation: Add 4 level teaspoons of Chanca Piedra to 5 cups of boiling water. Reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for between 15 to 20 minutes. When cool, you strain the tea and discard the leaves. This will make 4 cups of tea. Serve hot or cold. Store in a refrigerator in a glass container (with a lid on) for up to a week. This may save you some prep. time.

Chanca Piedra Tea is claimed to support the health of the kidneys, liver, gall bladder, bladder and pancreas. It is also said to promote healthy fat digestion.

For Urgent and Immediate use take one cup of tea 3 - 4 times per day for liver-gall bladder support and 6 - 8 times per day for kidney-bladder support on an EMPTY stomach (important) for up to one month or as directed by your health care professional.

For a Maintenance Dosage you take one cup of tea once or twice daily on an empty stomach for 5 or 6 days per week.

Wishing you well on your recovery journey

Cheers from Down Under

I had my first stone about 5 years ago. The ER doctor told me to take potassium citrate 3x day to keep urine alkaline. Then I was told about Chandra piedra. It's a Godsend to me. When I first feel that ache in the kidney before it get to pain, I take 2capsules 3 times a day. If severe I do it 5 times a day. It takes about 30 minutes to work. They are alway with me. As I get older I don't tolerate oxalates well which can cause stones. If I want a handful of nuts, or a spoon of peanut butter I'll take 1 capsule of Chanda piedra. It wards off the ache or pain.

I now use Whole World Botanical. Their capsules work up to thirty minutes. Usually twenty. They are pharmaceutical grade, been tested and without any fillers. They are wonderful to work with. They also carry the liquid. I use that in emergencies. Takes ten minutes or less.

find the number of oxalates in the foods you like. You'll save yourself in pain knowing them. I still eat things with oxalates in them but not as many and I took a capsule or capsules to counteract. I first discovered them drinking Bai drink with stevia. Had the backache then pain and discovered stevia has 92% oxalates.

Chanca piedra is a better remedy for gout. I have tried ACV, tart cherry juice and some others but I find chanca piedra most effective. I mixed a teaspoon of chanca piedra powder in a glass of warm water and drink the mixture. You should feel the pain lessen in a few hours. Twice a day if you are already suffering from gout. The mixture is quite bitter or take chanca piedra in capsule form, without the bitterness.

Yes, this would be helpful if it included the weight of the person, their history, their fitness level and age, the family they grew up in and how the dynamics worked, the town they lived in, the water supply and air quality, and then the person's medical history. example would be downwind of a power plant. Thyroid issues ect. What type of education did they get, Who programmed their thoughts? What religion did they ingest? Is healing free or do they have to get it by works or has it been done away with and sickness is for training purposes? What is their regular diet like and how much do they exercise daily /weekly and what type of spouse/co workers do they have? How many kids are they trying to manage and raise into upscale citizens? Believe me, one challenging kid can cause all your health problems. I watch supernanny and AML on drug addicts.

As far as grouches go, I could say I have topped the list over the years with a constant stomach ache, pain in the spine, pelvic pain and dental pain and emotional trauma and split personality with migraines. So please spell out the above so we can help you to the best of our knowledge. I have overcome the above. Sometimes the problem is the thing keeping us from the real hurt, as a lovely distraction. The more the pain, the better the distraction. If your back hurts get some pliers and squeeze your finger and your back will be hardly noticeable. : ) . Not trying to step on your toes but everyone is trying to post insights, not cures. We are all putting out fires. It still far exceeds the doctor who is treating symptoms so you will keep coming back to pay his light bill. By the way. Love your post, charity

This sort of info. gives hope and encouragement to those contemplating similar treatment on either themselves, family or their friends faced with a similar predicament.

There, not too hard was it?

5 years ago, I had a kidney stone.

During the night, I felt very painful area around the liver area, and I thought I was having appendicitis. Went to the emergency ward, and they said it was something else. After doing MRI, it was a kidney stone stuck in the urinary tract between the kidney and bladder. But to proceed with the procedure they said I need to wait another 3 months, because of many others are waiting in line. I could only afford the government funded hospitals.

Tried to research the internet, and I found something about Chanca Piedra. Fortunately, this herbs grows wildly in my garden. I took a bunch of it and simmer it in water and drank it half a cup daily.

To my astonishment, the pain diminished. Previously I couldn't eat too much since if I eat too much it presses on the affected area and it became painful. I couldn't sleep well at night because of back pain and just tossing around the bed became painful. There is something in Chance Piedra that acts as analgesics. After drinking it, I can sleep better since the pain reduces to tolerable threshold.

One day, I have the urge to urinate, and it felt a bit difficult since I need to push harder in order for the urine to flow out. Suddenly, I hear a loud sound from the toilet bowl like a big pebble clashing down the toilet. It was the kidney stone, coming out without any notice. After that I felt a great relief, I can eat more food, since the pain was already gone.

Another thing that I notice is, my blood pressure reduced to a normal level. I've been taking blood pressure medication without any success, it only capable of reducing my reading in a small numbers. I'm not sure what Chanca Piedra has done to my blood pressure, but the normal value persists for a month. But it came back to abnormal level, perhaps because I was not taking Chance Piedra anymore.

Gonna try again if it could fix my blood pressure since changing several bp medications couldn't fix my bp level.

Two More Things Lonnette,

I do remember having some stubborn pain in the kidneys a time or two. I used Castor oil, or the Castor oil and DMSO mix to rub on the area. Both worked well. I also continued the baking soda and lemon juice and water drink in the morning before breakfast, plus several glasses of water throughout the day.

Here's a third remedy,

I keep remembering as I remember. Once I had a time shaking the kidney pain, I used the Baking Soda and Molasses cure for that one. I drank it once each morning until the kidney pain left.

Have a wonder filled day!

Greetings Lonette of Florida,

I am sure a few of us has had this experience and me too. I would just stop and give the herb or supplement a vacation, sometimes a long vacation depending on what reaction I had. Then, I would start back at a lower dosage.

Also, I would make myself a baking soda and lemon water drink: 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda to about two teaspoons of lemon juice in about a half cup of water. Then I would chase that down with a glass of water. Throughout the day I would drink several glasses of water. But actually, after the baking soda and lemon juice water, my kidneys would feel very happy.

Is there a way to Flush Herbal toxicity?

Hi, I started taking chanca piedra, pau d'arco, and chaparral 5 days ago in the amounts (tablespoons per cup) that I've always taken tea in the past. Yesterday evening, I started feeling stinging pain in my kidneys and a slighter stinging pain in the liver area. It's not very painful, but the fact that it's there is alarming because I've never felt pain in those areas. I stopped taking the tea yesterday. If the pain gets worse I will go see a doctor, but have any of you experienced this? Should the pain pass on its own since I stopped taking the herbs? If the pain stops I would like to start over again but much slower.

I started having very painful kidney stones about 10 years ago. I'd have at least one a year and then nothing for awhile, then more stones. I have always been able to pass them, but not without several days of excruciating pain.

After having the last one 3 years ago, I searched the internet for a cure and chanca piedra popped up. I purchased a tincture of chanca and after taking for several days, I passed a large stone without having pain.

Several days later I passed a number of very small ones. I have been using this tincture daily for the last 3 years without having any more kidney stones.

P.S. I do take magnesium and potassium along with other vitamins because of the diuretic effect of Chanca piedra.

I don't know about mentioning brand names on here, but Swanson has the niruri variety. I took a lot of it with no allergy or other symptoms for quite awhile. This has been over 4 yrs. ago. I didn't pass any stones, but noticed cloudy urine the 1st few times I took it. I assumed it was clearing my kidneys & that's what that was. I eventually used up all but one bottle of that great sale order & MOL forgot about it.

BTW, I got Hep B in 1980 & nearly died, then was hospitalized & dosed (not long after an old naturopath saved my life from that & about 4 other concurrent illnesses) by a traditional doctor for bronchitis with an IV antibiotic I TOLD him specifically not to use because it's contraindicated for liver patients. That pretty much finished off my liver. I recently began experiencing bloating of then pain & shrinkage of what has to be my liver. I also have MG & now have CHF & HBP which is killing my kidneys. I am about to scrape up the funds to buy another batch of the niruri & save myself this time.

I used potassium citrate for one of my little dogs with kidney stones & damage from the Sam's melanine contaminated/fortified dog cookies that killed so many pets in the mid 2000s, but I read it can cause potassium problems if not used carefully. Hope this helps someone.

I see that I was not clear in the amount of Chanca Piedra that I took. The directions said to take two capsules once a day. Each capsule is 900mg. In April 2019, I took two 900mg capsules, that equaled to 1800mg. In January 2020, I tried them again, this time I took one capsule that is 900mg with No problems. Directions on my supplement bottle did not say whether to take with or without food. I generally take mine with, or after breakfast. HisJewel

RE Chanca Piedra and DHEA,

Just checking in with my DHEA experience and further info on my Chanca piedra experience also. I have been taking 25mgs DHEA. I would simply love it if some of the older women would chime in with what they experienced with DHEA.

As I mentioned last year in April of 2019 my menstruation returned and lasted all of one day. I initially cut down to taking DHEA 2 to 3 days a week, but I found I felt better when taking it at least 5 days a week. I also take Pregnenlone 50mgs on the days when I do not take DHEA, however I have taken both in one day. I just wanted to share that one day monthly may have been the beginning of something unconnected to the DHEA, a Polyp. I thought I was getting a re-visitation because of a poster, an elder lady said that's what happened to her while on DHEA. I did not believe her, but began to wonder that day when I noted my monthly seemed to have returned in April 2019. Anyway, I did go through some trauma and drama at the end of 2019. For 3 months I once again had what I thought was the return of my monthly. I finally went to the doctor because the bleeding was excessive. The verdict was it was a Polyp, The doctor said, it had already began to break apart on its own, she wanted to make an appointment to have it removed or simply watch it. I decided to let the Lord finish the work. I believe it was the Lord that gave me a mind to give the Chanca Piedra a second try before I had even gone to the doctor.

When I took the Chanca Piedra in April last year I got a reaction from it, "the ithes". I did Not have my eye glass on when I read directs before, so the two capsules I was taking equaled 1800mg a day, so what I did this time was only take One capsule instead 900mg a day. This time there was No itching as before. When I looked at the date that I started to take the Chanca Piedra, I wondered if that polyp was already there in April and it started breaking down the Polyp then and that's what caused the bleeding, but I stopped taking it, but it had not fully flushed out yet.

Interesting enough I would fall in and out of love with lemons a lot between those months which probably also help to break it up, and then I topped it off by trying the Chanca Piedra again. Whatever happened, they say the Lord works in mysterious ways bringing about miracles.

The first mention Phyilanthus niruri is said to be safe non toxic with few side effects. The second mentioned Phyilanthus and in High doses could be toxic and may be harmful to kidneys.. I tried it out Chanca Piedra about February 2019, the company I ordered from does not say what type of Chanca Piedra it is, it just says organic and says to take 1000mg once a day. Which proved too strong for me.

Posted by Bill (The Philippines) on 08/19/2018

Hi Baldev...I can confirm that your plant photo is definitely not Chanca piedra. The plant in your photo looks like it might be a member of the nightshade family.

Here is a link to some photos of Chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) on the stuartxchange website:

http://www.stuartxchange.org/SampaSampalukan

In the Philippines, the herb is called sampa-sampalukan. Also note that the seeds form along the underside of the center leaf petioles and are most abundant at the top of the plant. This is unique to chanca piedra -- no other plant form their seeds under the petiole like this. This is how you can identify this plant so easily. CP only grows to a maximum height of about 50 to 60 cms.

Here is some more research on this herb from The Rain-Tree Tropical Plant Database which might also interest you:

Sheilaann, chanca piedra is a herb, search for the organic dried herb, this is best. Mine I bought as a tea but the only ingredient is chanca piedra in loose, dried form. 5 cups a day to break stones. Best to you

Just signed up for the site after reading some great information. My question is what brand name of chanca piedra is best? I have been reading about so many benefits. People are talking about dosage all day long, but no brand names. And when there is anything, the links are so old they are non-existent. The only one I found was Swanson. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! If we can't list brand names, then please state as such😄

Chanca piedra grows naturally in Ghana, is a common weed and known locally as stone breaker or "at the back" in English & in Twi it's called Awo ba agu nakyi. You can check with Bill of Philippines posting as he has detailed pictures of Chanca piedra

Osteoporosis

★★★★☆

Hi Janie...There can be several causes for osteoporosis. You should continue taking the supplements you are taking, including the chanca piedra, but I would add the following supplements as well:

* Take 5% lugol's iodine -- 6 drops a day in a glass of water(work up to this dose slowly). Or you can take 50mgs to 120mgs of potassium iodide per day if you prefer. The iodine/iodide will ensure proper production of the calcitonin thyroid hormone which is the regulating hormone for the bone-forming iconoblasts cells in your bones. So increasing your iodine intake should also help to properly regulate and increase bone formation in your hips and bones.

* For the osteoporosis, I would also take Ted's lemon alkalizing remedy(See Ted's alkalizing remedies on EC). I would also change Ted's lemon alkalizing remedy in the following way. Just add the zest of the lemon(about 1/5 of lemon's surface area) to the alkalizing remedy. Then drink it and make sure you also chew and swallow the lemon zest as well. Take it once a day. Following this simple protocol once a day helps to protect the body's bone density. Lemon peel also contain high concentrations of hesperidin(as well as quercitin, limonene, gallic acid etc), which is a bioflavinoid that helps prevent bone loss in the human body. See this research article:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18174393

* To help remove the dangerous LDL LipoA build-up on your heart valve, Linus Pauling's Vitamin C + Lysine protocol is probably the best and cheapest remedy for you. For serious problems ie arteriosclerosis in the heart, I would take 1/4 tspn Ascorbic acid(1000mgs) powder and 1/4 tspn lysine powder(1000mgs) in a half glass of water, at hourly intervals, at least 4 times a day. If you can do it, taking the vitamin C + lysine in a half glass of water 6 or 8 times a day would be much better. The short explanation for this remedy is that the vitamin C actively removes the dangerous build-up of LipoA on the arterial walls whereas the lysine actively deactivates the dangerous LDL(LipoA) in the blood so that it cannot be used to cause artery build-up. Here is an explanation of Linus Pauling's research with some testimonials:

Bill, I also have osteoporosis in my right hip and I have been put on Calcium and vitamin D but my blood test show my calcium is normal. My Vitamin D and magnesium were also within normal range. My Dhea, Estradiol, Progesterone and Protein were low. I am taking a supplement which has calcium algae, Boron, Magnesium and Vitamin D along with vitamin k2 and another supplement of 7 Keto DHEA. But I do have calcium deposits noted on my aortic valve which causes a mild stenosis. Would I be able to take the chanca piedra and expect to see this clear up?

Diane, I am not Bill, and I don't know why you wish to use Chanca Piedra, but I am concerned about your extreme constipation. This is just keeping toxins circulating in your body.

Please read up on remedies for constipation. And maybe consider carrot juice for constipation and anti-cancer. But don't take it until you have gotten your bowels moving properly.

Hi Bill, I was diagnosed with hormone positive breast cancer 6 years ago. I am taking Anastrozole to stop hormone production. I have to take calcium the Dr. says the medication will deplete calcium. I also have multiple cysts on both my kidneys. I also have digestive issues, I can go weeks without a bowel movement and when I do I break out in cold sweat and shakes and its very painful.

Do you think it is safe to use Chanca Piedra. If so how much do you recommend. Thank you

Abigail, I would stop taking it until the pain stops. Then you might start again but in a much lower dose.
