I can't believe this one isn't rated higher! Normally, rutin and cayenne pepper have been enough to to manage hemorrhoid inflammation and pain. However, this wasn't cutting it with my most recent flare up. I was in agony to the point I considered going to the ER. My sister told me that the only thing that worked for her was a liquid glycerin suppository. I was desperate so I gave it a try. OMG IT WORKED!! When I felt my stomach rumbling, I hurried up and gave myself the enema, and although it didn't help all that much with constipation (related to keto diet), the inflammation and pain immediately shifted from a 9/10 to a 3/10. This was four days into taking Rutin three times a day, cayenne pepper once a day, peppercorns three times a day, apple cider vinegar soak 3 times a day, and topical steroid cream – all of which barely touched my pain.
Immediately after the enema, the relief was nothing short of miraculous. I'm not sure if it has to be a certain type of enema, but I went with the LIQUID glycerin because that's what was recommended to me. I am currently on day two of recovery. To be proactive, I took an enema again today and now the pain is a 2/10. It didn't really make sense to me why a laxative would help, especially if the laxative didn't do the job of evacuation the colon, but it 100% did.
Good luck to you all! This is an agonizing condition to contend with!

40 years ago, an old fashioned family doctor gave me the quick cure for hemorrhoid inflammatory pain. It worked quickly then as it still does. The old fashioned enema immediately cleans out the lower colon of inflammatory producing irritants. The cure includes using a plain mild saline solution with no added chemicals. A popular brand name company sells economical one-time usage, plastic squeeze bottle plain enemas, already filled and ready to use at many chain drugstores. Simply just follow the instructions that comes in the box. Afterward, take a natural stool softener. Constipation can bring on swelling so always take immediate stool softening measures to avoid the painful swelling attacks.

My naturopathic nutritionist suggested I try coffee enemas for my hemorrhoid as in her school of thought the inflamed hemorrhoid vein is due the the liver dumping excess toxins it cannot cope with into lower circulation. This, along with juicing, has worked wonders for my problem.
Please study very carefully before using coffee enemas though or, preferably, seek the advice of a professional naturopath.
