I had vertigo and cured it with Semont Maneuvers.
Semont/Symonds worked for me, it re-positions the crystals in the ear tubes.
No more drugs

I suffered from dizziness foe several months which my doctor diagnosed as Vertigo. I was rather put out and sceptical when her recommendation was to look up Epley maneuver on "you tube". She said some people only need to do it once for success! Well I did it with the help of my husband twice a day for a week and it did stop altogether. It is straight forward after you have watched a couple of times and costs nothing so must be worth a try.

Hi Angela, Yes it may well be a cause but it is not the only cause. I know one person who has it and he has never had a diet drink or food in his life nor does he drink any sodas or eat junk food. Although one might say that the white bread he has with all 3 meals is junk! Salt makes his menieres worse but they only had table salt and he has never tried natural sea salt. I also know a family who drank diet cola regularly and 1 of them still does (around 3 a day) and this person has very bad menieres.

Vertigo and Meniere's Disease Exercise
My Mom recently suffered with a chronic bout of severe DIZZINESS which her GP put down to VERTIGO, & prescribed some antihistamines. Unfortunately, these only brought temporarily relief for about 3hrs at a time, and she wasn't prepared to spend the rest of her life taking them.
She then learned of an EASY exercise from a Yoga teacher in her neighbourhood & it worked immediately ~ although she repeats it at least twice daily, just to ensure that the dreadful dizziness doesn't return.
Whilst standing, turn on the spot 10 times (10 rotations) to the LEFT, stop & turn only ONCE (1 rotation) to the RIGHT! VOILA! It's that simple.
Should anyone try this, please offer feedback so that others can both try & share it. :)
With love & LIGHT from Durban ~ SA.

i too have suffered vertigo. went to a dizzy specialist at ucla, westwood, california who showed me an excercise that anyone can do. you drop your head off the side of the bed while on your back. slowly turn your head from one direction all the way to the other direction. or perhaps it is lie on your side and do it....i am sure you can find a link and a video on line, my kaiser doctor friend sent it to me one time. the ucla doctor said it was hormonal in my case, the kaiser dr didn't think so. i have snapped my neck many times, boogie boarding, snow boarding, skiing etc. but i thought it had something to do with being dehydrated which is why someone on here saw a connection between caffeine and vertigo, caffiein being a diuretic. my own theory is that the dehydration dries up the liquid in the ear and somehow these particles get in the wrong place. moving your head when you feel ilke throwing up and cannot move is HARD!!!! and i had to do it more than once but it worked and i spaced it out cause i was sooo sick. the doctors agree that moving the head, and thus the ear relocates the loose particles in the ear. i know this is a great discovery for many people but perhaps won't work for everyone. don't forget to always stay well hydrated!!

This happened to me while waiting in a doctor's office for a friend. The office had a funny smell too. I'd like to say a metal smell. After 15 minutes I had to hold on to anything I could to leave the office. And I had to sit down outside in the fresh air for 30 minutes before I could drive again. It scared the life out of me.

I put a few drops of 5 percent lugol's in a bottle of water for two days in a row and my vertigo that I had for months was gone. I had painted it on my body for weeks and it did not have the same effect.
I had read in a study that it might work for tinnitus and am going to dilute some in heated distilled water and try it.

I can attest that after having dropped the traditional processed salt and using both Himalayan and Sea Salt, food never tasted better. For the well informed, the old age of processed salt and white flower bread is.............. D E A D.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I was only 27 when I got vertigo from a virus and have had on and off trouble since 2010. So discouraging when you are trying to raise kids and make a living. I have often thought my vertigo seems to worsen with indigestion. You are the first I have heard of that relates. I look forward to trying this.

Vertigo:
No one here is talking about BPPV. benign proximal positional Vertigo. As we age, the gelatinous layer in our inner ear which holds the crystals gets weak. Sometimes they come loose into the canals causing Vertigo. I had this and physical therapy fixed it.

Vertigo:
The dietary change that worked for me was eliminating dairy. If I start eating dairy again I get clogged ears and then popping. If I don't stop eating it I eventually end up with room spinning vertigo. But when stopped again the vertigo goes away

To add to this remedy:
He uses a "NEIL MED SINUS RINSE" product you can find at the supermarket or online. It's a saline solution with about an 8oz bottle.
You put a saline packet in the bottle, and fill with warm to hot water (your preference).
Next squeeze one half of the solution into one nostril, and allow the water to flow out of the other nostril. Then switch and do the same thing for the other nostril.
He does this in the shower once per day. But says if your allergies are worse you could do it twice per day. He has only had to do that a few times though, and it doesn't seem to be needed for him anymore.
In his experience this will not cure a vertical bout, but it will prevent future ones.
All the best,
Jose (for Phil)

This past weekend I was researching for my daughters illnesses. In those articles ( wished I would have saved them) it said that Vertigo has promising healing results when you put the patient on a gluten free diet and magnesium is increased in the patient. Soak in Epsom salts daily. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil daily up to 4 TBs helps with may brain disorders. They are finding that the wheats today are not like the wheat 100 years ago and many are having gluten intolerant issues...which are damaging the gut. Leaky gut can cause auto immune diseases. Auto immune diseases are rampant these days!!

Colloidal silver can be used as an ear drop for ear infections or painful ears. Simply put 5-10 drops into each ear, followed by plugging the ear with a cotton ball several times a day or as needed. Place drops of Colloidal Silver directly into the ear several times per day. It is helpful to place some cotton in your ear afterward to avoid excess solution from dripping out.

I do not know if this will help... But regular table salt that we buy at the store is detrimental to your health. It is the sodium in sea salt or Himalayan sat that our bodies need. We have been on sea salt for over 2 years now. Try using that.. But I strongly suggest you try Himalayan salt. Make sure you buy from a reputable source. I hope this helps you.

I agree with the ladies above. Our bodies need the minerals in Himalayan salt, or Celtic salt. It can prevent numerous health conditions that are present in today's society. processed salts like Morton's do not contain near the amount of minerals as Himalayan or Celtic salt and Morton's has toxic chemicals and way too much sodium.

Eliminate artificial sweeteners. The slightest amount of aspartame will cause me to spend the next full day with such a severe vertigo attack that I cannot get out of bed without walking into the walls and very severe nausea . It did not take me long to make the connection as I do not use aspartame on a regular basis. A friend told me about aspartame poisoning. Some people just cannot metabolize this chemical.

Vertigo
Eliminate Aspartame and sugar free foods and drinks. I realized after reading a article regarding aspartame on EC was linked to lupus and other aliments. I came to the conclusion it caused my Vertigo. I was overdosing on the stuff daily without being aware of it. I began drinking coffee at work with artificial sweetners 1-2 cups daily, had a diet soda with my lunch, then would drink energy drinks, chewing sugar free gum. ALLLLLL contained aspartame. Once I took that out of my diet and started paying more attention to the labels on the products I consume. Its one year later still no signs of vertigo.

I have had acid reflux for several years now. I was on a prescription for Prilosec before it was OTC. Usually only took a pill when I felt the reflux coming on strong. Over time, it has gotten worse with many reflux attacks daily. Two months ago, I started taking Prilosec OTC every day to see if I could fend it off. It worked great and I rarely felt any reflux all day long. Then, I had three violent episodes of Vertigo....which is similar to being spun around while you are violently seasick and stays like that for about 5 hours. Turns out this is rare but known side-effect of Prilosec. Needless to say, I'm off it now. I am relying on Pepsid AC now which works great but only last for a few hours and gets expensive. I'm planning to try the ACV next.

I read of a case of a lady developing Meniere's after living next to a cell phone mast. She was amongst alot of other persons who took ill. There is a disease highly recongnized in Sweden, Germany, Canada, and even some cases in the U.S. called electrohypersensitivity (EHS). This condition has some very similar feature's to Menier's for those who are sensitive to electromagnetic frequencies. This should be ruled out. Get close to a cell phone mast or monitor your reaction near wireless networks, especially those in doctor's offices and other strong EMF fields to rule out this condition. An MRI will make the condition worse if this is the case.

The only treatment for my vertigo that actually helped was the Foster half somersault maneuver. Google it.....brought such a relief when prescription medicine and chiropractic treatment did not.

Hello! With regards to tinnitus- are you putting it in your ear or massaging it around the outside? Thank you!
Posted by peter (chicago) on 05/11/2023
Art, I am sorry did not response to you earlier, friend's doctor told him that the crystal and inflammation caused the vertigo.
He has been doing the Epley exercise and his spinning problem has subsided.
Currently he has infection on both ears. Doctor prescribed antibiotic and gave him a steroid shot. He is concerned and see if any other option that you might suggest if above drug might not work. Thanks

My uncle just shared his cure for his vertigo, and I wanted to post it here and see if it helps others.
He used to have bouts of vertigo almost every day at times. He started using a nasal rinse and has had it only once in three years. He believes his vertigo was definitely allergy driven.
Hope this helps you!!

I found you online about flush out sinus to get rid of vertigo. Not sure if you can respond back to me.
I want to ask you how often should I use the squeeze bottle rise my nose with a day mix with- 1/2 peroxide & sea salt? There is no instructions on how many times to use a day, how many squeeze & how long to wait after each squeeze of solution. Can you reply back asap?

I have been suffering from vertigo for two months or so. I have noticed that if I have no caffeine at all and drink lemon juice in a mixture of basil and honey and water and drink that every day, the water can be cold or warm, it is up to you. That, coupled with the epley maneuver plus prayer helps me alot.
