When I was in Brazil I bought a wonderful oil called Monoi oil. I was said by locals that it's been used for centuries as a secret to beutiful all over moisturizer and hair. My skin was so soft that i couldn't stop touching it. Can anyone tell me ( and I am sorry if I am going off the subject here), how to make this wonderful oil. I know it is coconut oil mixed with flowers. Please help.

Facial Exercises

Try doing facial exercises on a daily basis. I don't know if there are any good sites with an entire 'program' for free, but I recently purchased a program online for about $20.00 which includes exercises for forehead wrinkles, crow's feet, dark circles and bags under the eyes, droopy eyelids, the 'smile' line around the mouth, wrinkles around the lips, and 'turkey neck' sagging. I have done the exercises for two days now and can already notice a very slight difference in the forehead. I only have fine lines as I'm still a few years from turning 30, but I am definitely seeing a slight difference. The exercises, if done properly, work as the muscles in the face become stronger and more defined and start to 'push' the wrinkles out. The more defined muscles will soon start to lift sagging skin, such as over the eyes, giving your face a more youthful appearance. Some 'professionals' in skin care will tell you that the exercises will actually exagerate aging, but that's far from the truth. According to what I've read, if you have deep wrinkles, such as forehead lines, as the muscles becomes stronger it's actually going to sort of stretch out the wrinkles, making them appear wider. But they will eventually get 'pushed' out as the muscle grows and becomes more defined. I have also read that dabbing lemon juice around the eyes can reduce the look of lines and crow's feet. It may take a few weeks for visible results.

EC: Jack LaLane has been doing facial exercises for decades and at 93, he looks amazingly youthful. Check out YouTube for an interview filmed last year on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.

Witch Hazel, Coconut Oil
Posted by Terri (Carlisle, PA)
★★★★★

I cleanse my face before bed with Witch Hazel (natural toner) and apply organic coconut oil very lightly. My face is so smooth and soft. I am 50 and everyone thinks that I am in my late 30's. I also use coco butter alternately. Coconut oil applied directly on an acne area will dry up the sore. Have done it many times, it works great!

Emu and Primrose Oil Moisturizers
Posted by Stella (USA)

I moved to Arizona 6 yrs ago and due to dry, low humidity, I saw after a year my face looked very dry, rough looking. I do not smoke or drink anything but water. But still it looked bad so I went to the health food store and bought Emu Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. I started to use Emu Oil, then tried Evening Primrose Oil. They both work excellently on my face. I use one or the other whatever is in stock at the store. My husband said he could see a big difference right away. My skin looks younger and has a beautiful glow. I'm 44 yrs old and people think I'm in my late 20's. That's something to smile about.

Smiling While You Moisturize
Posted by Harriett (Savannah, GA) on 10/14/2005
★★★★★

Make a big smile while cleansing, and moisturizing your face. There is something about the massaging effect of your face while it's in a smiling expression that makes it give off a beautiful glow. Also, smiling at your reflection while giving tender loving care to your skin somehow has a positive mental effect on your complexion, and your entire day!!

Hi! Since I became a vegetarian my skin has improved very much. I used to have very oily skin and acne in my back as well. It's all gone thanks to whole yeast, plenty of fruit and vegetables every single day, lots of water, tofu and nuts. I walk 2 hours per day as well.

Mayonnaise
Posted by Louise (Sydney Australia) on 02/04/2006
★★★★★

I use whole egg mayonnaise as a facial once or twice a week. Just smooth it onto face, neck, hands, leave for 20 minutes and then rinse off using warm water and a face washer. People always comment on how good my skin looks. When it is looking a little sallow, I just mix some lemon juice in with the mayonnaise and proceed as before.

Baths, Aloe Vera, Water

I will be 60 this year, and most people do not believe may age and most say that I look in my 40's. First, I have very good genes: one grandfather lived to be 94 and the other 95, when most people were dying at 68. I take a bath normally, as opposed to a shower, usually when you shower your skin does not have time to absorb the water. If I do shower, I plug the tub and allow the water to build up. This greatly aids dry, cracked feet. I also apply aloe vera to my feet, elbows, and face almost daily. I also use aloe vera for my hair, instead of brylcreem type hair products. Also, throughout the day, I put water on my face and allow the skin to absorb it. Furthermore, for the past 10 or 15 years I have never dried my feet. It is amazing, but your feet almost immediately absorbs the water. Most of our bodies, most of our planet, and a lot of outer space they say it made of water, so I give my body plenty to absorb. Lastly, I consume a great deal of Apple Cider Vinegar. It helps me keep my weight down, and has enabled me to quit taking damaging water pills for blood pressure.

Aloe Vera, Vitamin E

I mix 16oz of organic Aloe Vera gel with 1oz. of Natural Vit E oil. I put this on my skin before lotion or oil after bathing. It improves the appearance of the skin. Makes moles, and all kinds of skin problems improve and go away. This remedy came from a Native American grandfather given to his granddaughter. I have shared it with many people with different ailments. They have all boasted its success.
