I have been using honey on my skin and my skin is really glowing and looks tighter. I just have been putting a thin layer of honey on my skin, letting it sit for however long I have time and wash it off.

for beautiful glowing and younger looking skin, use pure honey. Put a layer of honey on face and throat for five minutes and remove with a warm damp towel. Follow with your favorite moisturizer. Try this once a day.

Grapeseed Oil

Hi Annie, the kind of Grapeseed oil that I have been using is a brand called "Now" bought at GNC as well as other places on the internet. It is 100% pure. There are also other brands out there, I'm not sure which is the Best brand. I use it on my face (a small amount), on salads and for cooking too. I have been using it since I posted and I still have very few breakouts. Hope it works for you! - here is a link to what it looks like. Good Luck. http://www.nowfoods.com/index.php?action=itemdetail&item_id=3337

Flaxseed Oil
Posted by June (Wichita, Kansas) on 08/03/2008

Hi everyone. I wanted to send my big YEA for flax seed oil and the skin. I take flax every so often, but lately I decided to up my daily dosage and take it consistently after all the great things I have been reading about it. I am taking 1 Tablespoon of organic flax (highest lignan count) 3 times a day for a couple of weeks and the effects have been phenomenal. My skin, all over my entire body, is glowing and youthful. My hands, which always look dry and cracked, look a thousand times better. My face looks different too, hard to explain how... better texture to the skin, tighter. It's not my imagination, a few of my friends have made comments about my glowing face. I guess I am having these effects because there is a lot more moisture, lubricating the skin - ? I look pretty good for my age (45) because I exercise regularly, getting a good sweat as often as I can, and eat a low calorie, low-fat diet when possible. But the flax seed oil has really been an amazing remedy for the skin.

I would recommend that people buy bottles of flax that are already refrigerated at the store because they don't contain those questionable preservatives. I bought an expensive bottle of organic flax oil at GNC (not refrigerated) a month ago and it tasted TERRIBLE! Rancid as can be... Then I went to Whole Foods and read through all the brands in the refrigerated section. They pretty much looked the same so I choose an organic brand that had a manufactured date of July, 2008.

I take my tablespoon straight up each time. In the morning before I eat, then lunch, then right before I go to sleep. Not bad tasting at all.

My skin suffered the tear and wear of using numerous brands of different brands of cosmetics til the combination of these different chemicals being used on these cosmetics, resulted to facial skin damages. Wrinkles, and the worst which made me embarrassed everytime when people got surprised to see the black spots on my face which i knew from prolong used of differrent chemicals. I have tried numerous products to get rid of it. Some will give me an effect of two weeks but afterward the damaged on my face becomes worst. My face dont seem to response to any cosmetic, the more cosmetics i used the worst it becomes so, i thought of experimenting on natural remedies.I have started making my own formula when i came across this site which made my research more valid. Every night, as i watched tv i massage VCO on my legs and arms it made my skin so soft @ flawless. When i wear skirt, people thought i have stockings on my legs.

For my face, 3x a week, i combined
1 tsp of molasses or
honey
1/4 tsp of ACV [APPLE CIDER VINEGAR]
1/2 tsp of VCO [VIRGIN COCONUT OIL]
1 tsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp of oats

Make to a paste, splash face with warm water and gently massage the paste on your face. Let it stay 10-20minutes. Rinse it with warm water.

Then i toned my face with ACV, Hydrogen peroxide and water and moisturize my face with alternating VCO and grapeseed oil. Amazing it gradually whitened my face naturally, wrinkles free with less expenses. I am 49 yr old grandma with 3 grandchildren mistaken as more years younger than my age. Thanks to this site, it made me more creative combining the natural resources that are abundant in our country Philippines. By the way, i make my own VCO and sell to my friends also. I use VCO externally and internally as it is the cleanest and the cheapest oil on earth. I enjoy the benefit of a monolaurin found in VCO the same benefit found in a mothers milk. I rarely got sick as VCO is a natural antibiotic, that can get rid of viral @ bacterial lepid coated illnesses. Thanks to this heaven sent site and to the people who openly shares thier beneficial testimonies. God Bless Us All as we continue to spread and share the good news. Email me @ let me know how this works with you.

Brown Sugar, Rolled Oats, ACV and Baking Powder Scrub

oh my god. that was the most amazing thing i've ever put on my face. i didn't have rolled oats, but i just used regular kind and it's just as good i think. i have about 4 zits on my chin. they're kind of big too. they look HORRIBLE. :| my skin is rrrrrrreally dry around those areas and my nose, so whenever i put my makeup on, it shows the dry skin so well and it looks terrible. i used your scrub, and i swear it already took so much dead/dry skin off my face. i have a date tomorrow, and i really don't want my face looking HORRIBLE. so hopefully this'll make my skin a bit better. thanks a ton=]

Jojoba Oil
Posted by Killer Bees (Brisbane, Australia) on 06/25/2008

The best thing for beautiful glowing skin is jojoba oil. I used to use coconut oil and that was fantastic for a while. But jojoba oil is finer and absorbs more readily into the skin. I've also been told about rosehip oil, but I haven't tried that yet. I might give it a go if I can find any.

As for the jojoba oil, it's made my skin smooth, wrinkle free and the rosacea around my nose and chin has disappeared. Plus if I get the odd pimple at "that time of the month", the jojoba oil gets rid of it within a couple of days without it becoming a horrible whitehead pustule. That is, if the pimples actually even show up at all!

I use it on my neck too. I'm 41 now and I definitely don't want the "turkey neck" look that so many women get at my age. It's working because I have no excess skin there at all - just smooth beautiful skin and people can't believe it when I tell them my age.

I also use sunscreen every day without fail over the top of the jojoba oil. Prevention is still better than cure after all. I bought mine from the health food store and it's cheaper and lasts longer than any commercially prepared product. Plus, it's all natural and that's the biggest drawcard for me. I'm not interested in putting chemicals on my face any more.

Jojoba oil is also really good for treating eczema and psoriasis. And it's a beautiful hand moisturiser as well. Absorbs immediately with no greasy after feel. Try it, you'll love it.

Castor Oil

I had hated castor oil for many years because growing up in South America it was a quarterly cleansing ritual by my mother and many others. This website has helped me to see castor oil in a new way. I have been applying it occasionally to my face at night. Every time I do so, I absolutely love the way I look in the morning. My skin looks toned and fresh. Yesterday I attended a function and saw a woman whom I had not seen for about two years. She kept saying "you have to tell me what you are doing, you look ten years younger. I have also been doing facial exercises. She asked her daughter for my number because she said she is determined to find out what I had done to my face. Many people were in the room and she was quite vocal so I just replied that I had been taking care of myself. I will tell her privately. I think the castor oil definitely helped my skin plus the facial exercises helped tone the muscles under the skin. I used to hate the mirror, now I glance at it ever so often. Thanks for the castor oil tip.

Cantaloupe
Posted by Breah (Seattle, Washington) on 06/09/2008

Actually cantaloupe doesn't cure anything specifically, water does. Even with at least eight glasses a day, you most likely are not getting as much of the vitamins and minerals as you could. Drink truly filtered water, not Brita water. I use water filtered by a gravity filter which is guaranteed to remove all harmful chemicals and bacteria and more. I then water my organic vegetables and fruits with it, and they do wonders! No aftertastes, bigger, healthier plants, and cantaloupe so juicy it may seem to be a cure.

Lifestyle Choices

I am 42 and people say I look like I am in my early 30's and some say late 20's. I think this is partially in the genes. I am Indian origin and the women in my family age gracefully. I use sunscreen daily in my moisturizer (30 SPF). My daily regiment includes an eye cream, moisturizer with SPF and cleansing with a foaming cleanser. I use Aveeno products to moisturize and cleanse. I drink lots of water. I also wear good sun glasses and never expose my face to direct sunlight.

I am amazed people! I had old depressed acne scars on my face and was very discolored. Four days after doing the first of five Fraxel laser resurfacing treatments, I broke out in new acne and sandpaper type bumps under the surface of my skin. I stopped using the creams the Doctor gave me and went to this routine:

I wash my face in plain baking soda, then I put raw organic honey, cinnamon, sea salt, a splash of lemon juice and a splash of ACV in the palm of my hand-mix it together and spread it on my face.I leave it on ten or so minutes while I drink a Tbls. or so of ACV in water, rinse my mouth in baking soda and brush my teeth. Then I rinse my face off in tepid water and dry.

I have a spritz bottle that I filled half with lemon juice and half with ACV and a little distilled water so it wouldn't sting and I spray my face with that.

Then I have another bottle filled with Lavender, tea tree, grapeseed and helychrisum oils that I spray on and let air dry.

I cannot tell you people what a miracle this is! My face is looking beautiful! It cleared up the acne and surface bumps in less than two days. I wake up to tight, smooth soft skin. My tone and texture are amazing. I never wear makeup anymore. I swear by this stuff!!! I love also what the fraxel is doing for my scars and color. I have only had one treatment so far and the results will take longer to be complete, but I will never use anything on my face again that you can't eat. I go in for my next laser treatment this week, and the first thing I will put on my red swollen face when I get home is honey. Honey, ACV and Lemon juice are fantastic! My teenage daughter is doing this same routine and has gone from a pimply to perfect complexion in under a week. We love it!

Grapeseed Oil

Hi I would just like to put in a Yea! For Grapeseed oil. I am 37 yrs old and I suffered from a bad skin condition on my face and body for over 2 Loong years. The dermatologist said it was adult acne but I'm not so sure. I had tried many natural & chemical based products to the point of exhaustion until I finally found a brand that worked to where I could have my life back but my skin was still always on that verge of a break out at anytime. Anyway - about a month ago my husband was at the health store and I asked him to buy grapefruit extract but by mistake he bought Grapeseed oil. Well Grapeseed oil was one of the few things that I did not try on my face so I thought since I had it I would try it. UnBelievable Is all I can Say. This stuff is so good it took my skin to the next level. I don't even use my usual face cream anymore. If you have acne or sensitive skin. Try Grapeseed Oil It's awesome! It works! I love it! My skin is rosy and does not break out. I also know you can mix it with other oils for added benefits but I haven't tried that yet. Yea! For Grapeseed Oil.
