Oral remedy for candida rash and/or athlete's foot

I had developed a candida rash and the doctor's medicines weren't doing any good. So I went to the health food store and found a product to take by mouth containing caprylic acid, pau d'arco, grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil. I only took half the recommended dosage every day and the rash was gone gone within a week. As a bonus, it also killed the athlete's foot on the tops of my feet and big toes I had been fighting for seven months.

Dear Tusshay,

If the rash intensified, I would probably try a different remedy. Extra Virgin Coconut oil, perhaps. If you want to describe your rash more, some here may have ideas for what you might try.

Please be sure to dilute the vinegar with water for the first few treatments especially for babies with diaper rash. You can slowly decrease the water with each application.

ACV worked when nothing else would. I have a rash on my face from detoxing. I tried coconut oil, oil of oregano, and black castor oil. I then remembered Earth Clinic and came to the site to see what others have tried with success. The ACV has reduce the rash by 30-40% in 1 day. I will continue use it 2-3 time a day until it's gone. Thanks Earth Clinic! I've gotten great suggestions from this site.

Hi R. The sad truth of the matter is that the medical industry is just that. It has become an industry for SOME. Not ALL. The fact that they don't know the simple solutions and cures is of no surprise. MOST medical doctors do not know anything about nutrition because it is an elective while they are in school, so they don't bother. They only know what the so called nutritional guidelines (designed by lobbyists and lawyers a.k.a. the food pyramid), says to do. Not the destroying effects of the sugars and grains.

Aloe Vera is safe to use and can offer some relief from diaper rash. It's antibacterial, antifungal, and very soothing for many types of skin irritations. To make your own Aloe baby wipes (it's easy, not to mention cheap) check out: http://www.aloeplant.info/aloe-for-diaper-rash-2/

Update for my underarm rash. My rash came back worse than ever. I started using Ted's remedies daily for nail fungus (ACV & hydrogen peroxide mixture, apply for 10 min.; then chlorox bleach, apply for 10 min.; then tea tree oil). This would keep my rash somewhat in check. Also I was washing underarms with Ivory soap. I still had the rash, but I was able to keep it in check so it wouldn't hurt so bad. While visiting a friend, I used his soap (Irish Spring) in the shower. It stung like hell, so I figured it was doing some good. I've been using Irish Spring soap on my underarms, usually twice daily. Seems like the toxic chemicals in Irish Spring has cured my underarm rash problems.

I was sick for over a year, had many tests and even a food allergy test scratch test and blood test and then my ND told me those tests were only 50% accurate, I had a rash off and on and just general itchy skin, blurred vision, dizziness, nausea weight loss, brain fog fatigue, weakness, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and wheezing, I thought I was on my way out in fast order, The elimination diet was suggested and I did it, Elimination diet is just rice, chicken, turkey lamb, all vegetable except night shades, I was also allowed onions and garlic, of course water and olive oil blueberries and pear that is all I ate for two weeks then I reintroduce one food at a time wheat for 1/2 day and see how I feel then back on the diet for 3 1/2 days then soy 1/2 of day, then back on diet for 3 1/2 days then dairy, corn , sugar, citrus etc...this diet helped so much to figure out the cause of all my symptoms an it is best to stop all gluten for at least six months to really see a turn around . I also did a long term gentle parasite cleanse with colonics. These things all turned my life around . I would suggest elimination diet to anyone suffering with rashes.

When our 4 month old's skin seemed dry, we applied routine baby lotion. The area prickly-bumped into a rash within 10 minutes after applying baby lotion. 2 weeks later, our pediatrician examined the now red and welting painful rash. She said that particular manufacturer is known to add fragrances and dyes to enhance smell and appearance. We stopped using all the manufacturer's products, rash stopped immediately. (Dr said one of the best baby lotions for diaper rash or skin irritation or bug bites or any is freshly expressed mother's milk dabbed on area. When we tried it on diaper area, rash was gone within the hour.)

Butt Paste

My husband was working outside this past summer in high grass and weeds. Late in the afternoon, he broke out with little bumps all around his ankle and lower leg. The bumps were red and itched intensely. My guess would be chigger bites but we don't know. I searched the internet and saw a suggestion for Butt Paste - you can buy it at most pharmacies - it is intended for diaper rash. If I remember correctly, it was mostly zinc oxide and very pasty but my husband said it worked "miracles". The bites completely stopped itching and cleared up in a couple of days. It is pretty cheap and worth a try. Spread the paste over the bite until it is covered.

Nu-Stock

A number of years ago, we acquired a German Shepherd with a severe case of mange, covering about 1/3 of his body. The vet's expensive prescription products hardly touched it. After a lot of study, I found a product generally used for horses to heal wounds and rashes. It's called Nu-Stock. It cleared the mange up after only 2 applications and it has never returned. His hair grew back very quickly, and although he wasn't too thrilled with the first application, he WANTED the second one very much. The itching stopped immediately.

A couple years later, my daughter had a rash that no doctor seemed able to get rid of. We tried the Nu-Stock and it cleared right up and hasn't returned.

I've had a problem with athlete's foot for years. I tried all the other remedies and it got rid of "most" of it, but there was a spot on the ball of one foot, including two toes where it just wouldn't go away. One day it occurred to me to try Nu-Stock. After just a couple of applications, the skin was back to normal, all itching gone, and it appears to be healing permanently. I think this is going to finally kill it!!!

Doing a little studying, I've found that Nu-Stock is 73% sulphur, 25% mineral oil, and 2% pine oil.

I've also discovered that there are other health products made for pets that aren't available for people. For instance, in the local Farm & Fleet, you can buy a cheap package of electrolytes for your pet's water. 16 oz. of DMSO was only $5. And there were other things as well, most of them in the section for horses! Isn't it amazing that you can buy products for your pets, cheaply, and you can't get prescription products that work for yourself???

Coconut Oil

My 3 week old baby has suffered terribly with nappy rash and most things I've tried have only irritated it as they are too harsh for his sensitive skin. However I tried, only as of last night, Coconut Oil, and after only 3 applications his rash has all but disappeared! This is great stuff and I am delighted. I presume then that my little boy had thrush (Candida) perhaps on his poor tush?! Anyway, I will continue to use this as it works so well, smells gorgeous and is also a fabulous body moisturiser! I hope this helps someone out there. Good luck.

Thank god for this website. I was suffering a rash under my left breast and in the crease of my leg and abdoman. Very painful and itchy burning. One dr prescribed a medicine for psoriasis no help made it worse. Another said ringworm, another said yeast. I read all are a type of fungus and found your site with ACV for yeast and fungus. I put it on straight on the rash it burned the first time only. Did this for the last 2 days twice a day. then dried it and put powder. It is almost gone like a miracle. I am now drinking some dailey and hoping to try it on my bad foot for a toenail fungus will let you know. wow a miracle. Nancy

Anti-Fungal Medication

For your mouth and body as a whole try Oil Pulling. Google it. It is great for the entire body because it removes toxins. Continue doing it twice daily. Go on a yeast free diet. Clean every single thing in your home and continue to disinfect everything as the days pass.

Continue to treat the candida with a variety of potions including oregano oil, coconut oil, epsom salt and baking powder poltices, etc. Yeast is a living organ that mutates and mimics other diseases. You have to be persistent. Eventually the balance is struck.

used coconut oil on my son's diaper rash. It went away in one night after I had been trying other creams for days and it just got worse. The exact measurements I used: well I put my fingers in the jar and scooped some out and rubbed it on!

Coconut Oil, Cayenne Pepper

I had a rash on my chest and i was getting redder and more itichy every day. It was also creaping and aboutt to go on my face. I was about to go to the doctors--something I only do when really desperate. So, being a fan of cayenne pepper and coconut oil, I mised them on and applied to just part of my chest. Within two days and with two applications, the rash was gone only where I had put the mixture. Has anyone tried putting these two things together?

Apple Cider Vinegar cured a Body Rash, presumably from yeast, fungus, candida. I had a red bumpy rash on my chest, stomach and upper back. I have been battling with Candida for about 10 years, and after all my extravagant holiday eating, the rash showed up about a week ago. I tried tea tree oil, and antifungal cream on it, but it persisted and itched. Then I looked online and found some articles on Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). We had some in the house, so I put some directly on the rash. It stung a bit, but the minor pain went away in 2 or 3 minutes. I kept it on my skin for about 15 minutes, then rinsed off in the shower. When I got out, I dabbed some hydrogen peroxide on the rash, and went to bed. In the morning, the rash was gone! I have also had terrible gas lately, so am taking 2 tbsp. ACV + 2 tbsp local raw honey in a glass of water. My stomach was bloated, but is going down quickly. It's as though I can feel the ACV coursing through my body going to the places it's needed. I can tell the difference already. What a relief!

Calamine Lotion

I recently started working out at a gym. When I work out, I get extremely hot and sweaty, especially the back of my neck where the hair is shorter and comes loose from my pony tail. I started noticing a itchy, prickly, stinging feeling during my workouts on the nape of my neck. Then I developed this raised, scaly, itchy, bright pink rash. It started to spread down my back. I tried ACV, coconut oil, anti-bacterial cream, tea tree oil. Nothing was helping with the itch and it continued to spread. This had been going on for about 3 weeks. Finally I bought some calamine lotion and a product that is cornstarch and calamine that you sprinkle on like baby powder. Voila! After about 3 days the rash is nearly gone! I've also been using the calamine lotion and powder around the folds of my ears, which have been itching me like crazy for years and it is really helping to control the itch there too.

Elizabeth - it could be your laundry detergent. It happened to me - as the day wore on, I'd get itchier and itchier all over. This went on for about 2 years. I finally tried an all natural detergent in lieu of my beloved Tide ... problem solved!

Sun Rash Remedies

Response to rash after sun. I have this as well. Never had a problem when I was younger. Fibro/chronic fatigue has brought on many other nastys along with the sun allergic reaction. If you get 'water zit's' with exposure. Population varied and tied with duration of and intensity of sun. The itch can be controlled with allergy/sinus tabs. Also getting a good base of tan in a safe manner slowly minimizes reaction. I did however have a severe problem vacationing in Cozumel. Fun overshadowed caution and came down with sever swelling of entire face in butterfly fashion. No, never a positive on Lyme or lupus. Fluconazole relieves the symptoms along with chest rash, psoriasis like pores on arms. Strange pores on neck following skin folds / creases, dandruff snow, white nasal, lymphs the size Texas etc.. etc... etc...

Lastly my polio vaccination scar has morphed into a keloid type scar which was normal til the change to no health. I think they never fixed polio. Their caveman immunizations just moved the polio type bug into a unchallenged Frankenstein critter the human body has no defense or poor defense over along with Frankenstein food from Swanson kfc Denny's BKing. A pinch of GM food, flour stripped of all good. DNA altered, juiced with drug cocktails monster cows. Drugstores, banks, bars, gas stations rule the street corners. Seems they are keeping us sick, weak and slaves of their energy..... I better stop.... Livin in the united corporations of america.

I started to notice my skin feeling like it had been rubbed with sand paper. When I got up the next morning I had a blistery rash on my left side. It started to spread and got painful and very itchy. I later went to the doc and was prescribed meds. I had been continuously applying anti itch cream which didn't seem to work. I tried the ACV and it instantly worked!

Aloe Vera

Been noticing that 3-4 hours after going to the bathroom, the skin on my bottom forms an uncomfortable red rash. Started researching and found a site where contributors said they experienced the same with the Mr. Wipple brand. Ours is Nxxxxxxx brand but something's in it that I must be allergic to as we have a bidet and use it daily. Scary to imagine what manufacturers are putting in these products. Time for TP research!

The most common mistake with heat rash is the use of lotions or oils to relieve dryness. Heat rash results when sweat glands are clogged and this just makes things worse. Aloe gel straight from the plant is 96% water and allows the skin to breath while fighting bacterial infection and reducing pain. Applied every few hours, Aloe addresses the causes of irritation in the deeper layers of the skin while fighting bacteria at the surface, decreasing the duration and severity of the rash. Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide
Posted by Kathie (Houston, United States) on 05/16/2011

I got a rash on my face after eating three grilled cheese sandwiches... What can I say, but I am gluten intolerant and when I cheat, I cheat big! The rash started on my right check (it looked like rosacea - red, bumpy and crusty) and it spread to my forehead, the left side of my nose and around both eyes. I disolved borax in peroxide and put that on my face. It worked everywhere except around my eyes (I did not use as much there because I did not want to use it so close to the eye and it was very drying). I followed up with castor oil around my eyes and in just one day I have seen a huge improvement! I have read here that many like castor oil to take care of there facial skin. I am tempted to use it as well. My question is, isn't castor oil a mineral oil and we should not use mineral oils on our skin? I thought that we are only suppose to use vegetable type oils on our skin.... I WOULD LOVE SOME FEEDBACK!
