I suffered a scald burn on my right forearm, and after a few days of dressing (parafin/vaseline coated) I have rashes appeared on the area where the gauze patch was placed. It's getting uglier, and I went to see the doctor. HydroVal 2% was prescribed for the rashes and Antibiotic cream for the burn area. I took benadyrl at the same time.
It calms for a day and the rashes is on and off feeling itchy and so does the redden and swelling. I guess it's when the antihistamine worn off.
I read about ACV rememdy on rashes, so after shower, I bathe my arm in diluted ACV water to wash off any soap/creme/topical medicine residue I might have on my skin.
Then I dapped undiluted ACV on my rashes. It calms down the itchiness in about 15 mins after application. I dont' know yet if it will go away completely, but it feels better to use it then to apply the HydroVal again.
Hopefully it will help. I just found most doctors have trouble diagnose skin rashes. They like to prescribe Cortizone cream, but from my past experience with allergic rashes, that only works for the first 2 days, and if the rashes presist, the condition will almost reversed if not getting worse.
People like me is desparate, I am so sensitive, and I have no clue what cause my allergies at most time. Besides, I am sure my immune system is extremely over sensitive.

I had itchy rash, and was using petroleum jelly on it and around my eyes to soften the skin, I told my specialist/ integrative medicine doctor and he told me to stop using any petroleum based products, and he gave me sheet with a list of things to avoid and why.
Lichen Striatus Remedies

I don't see anything on here about Lichen Striatus. I took my son to the doctor today and this is what she said that he has. It looks like a rash of prickly little bumps that are formed in a straight line. I have seen things with the word of Lichen in it on the site but not Lichen Striatus. I thought that he got it from the barber when he got a hair cut. This is the first day that I remember seeing it. The source of the skin condition says that it's unknown. Does anyone know of any natural cures for this? Thanks
Peppermint Oil

Most essential oils you should never ever put on pure. They must be diluted in a carrier oil, such as olive oil, or coconut. Plus, be mindful that you're not putting on a fragrance oil instead, as it's definitely not the same thing, but synthetic. Make sure it's essential oil. One more thing. Always do a spot test for 24 hours before putting it on larger areas. Just to make sure you're not allergic.

Peppermint oil is amazing, I just put three drop in I tablespoon of virgin coconut oil with a few drops of Vitamin E and it starts working. Essential oils are miracle but you must do your research before you try it... You NEVER use it essential oils full strength, they must be diluted.

DMSO has saved me many times from fingernails turning black, etc. Whenever I've injured myself. The minute I hurt myself, I'll soak the hurt part in DMSO.

[Bathing in ACV] For the first time in my life I am experiencing something like the flu. The doctor does not know what it is--bacterial or viral. It has the same symptoms as my grand daughters illness two weeks ago. She like me, began with fever of 104 and body aches for a couple of days. No other symptoms. After receiving Antibiotics, she had to be rushed to the emergency with a serious allergic reaction. She had a very nasty rash and cough. It took her two weeks to recouperate. I took care of her after I spend a few weeks traveling and not taking care of my self. Two days after I returned home, I came down with the fever, chills, and diareahea. After reading about ACV decided to take a bath in it to help reduce fever and detox. Within an hour of the bath, I broke out in a rash with blisters and have had them for three days now along with the cough that keeps me up all night. I am now on antibiotics and Vitamine C and tring to rest. The burning itching of my skin is almost unbearable. I use prayer to get me through the waking hours. I am now resorting to benedryl to keep from scratchin. Does any one have any suggestions?

I applied ACV to a few warts I had on my leg. I soaked a cotton ball in it then used a bandaid to hold it in place, I did this for 2 nights in a row. After the second night I developed a very itchy rash in the areas I treated with ACV. The rash is a perfect circular shape that the cotton ball was. Did you ever find out why you got this rash? How did you get the rash to go away?

For the itching. Use a blow dryer. It really helps.

Be careful about using Apple Cider Vinegar. I have had a rash around my mouth which was caused by an allergic reaction, for a month, and after reading this site I tried the ACV. Very quickly my skin started burning and turned bright red. I rinsed it off and the reddness is going away, but it was quite alarming. So do a test on a small bit of skin before applying this to any rash.
