Honey and Royal Jelly

A friend of my mom got her fingers back to normal from being all crooked from having arthritis. What did she learn of to take care of this. You get royal jelly, the best is from the local beekeeper. It will be frozen in a jar. It is whitish. You take the portion that you bought and mix it with 3x honey. So a 1 to 3 ratio of royal jelly with honey. You then take one teaspoon a day.

I use hyaluronic acid (it has 2 items in with the hyaluronic acid) 100mg 2x day. I do not have the bottle handy to tell you those 2 other items that are in the capsule. It has helped me a whole lot. I also heat a cup of water and put 1/2 tsp Tumeric in it and let it sit 15 seconds stir and put 1 tsp honey in it stir and drink. I do this a couple of times a day and it really helps also.

Hoping for a reply.

If ACV isn't helping, try magnesium oil. While I haven't used it, I've read that you can apply it topically to the affected area for relief. May you be well soon!

Yes to magnesium oil. It helps with lots of things. I have osteoarthritis in my hands, and what helps me is castor oil. I use it like a moisturizer, sometimes adding another oil to lighten it up, and it really helps. It feels like I have a toothache in my fingers. I also have heberden's nodules on several fingers, and it helps them when they act up as well.

Maybe lugol's iodine and selenium. Or the whole iodine protocol.
I have been using an organic molasses for years with no issue. Recently I tried a different big-name brand because it had a higher iron content, and I developed abdominal cramping/discomfort and chest pains. After a few days it went away, but resuming the molasses causes them to return. I suspect the new molasses may be especially high in selenium as previously I had similar discomfort after taking selenium supplements.
Best of luck.

The antibiotics kill not only the bad baceria, but the gut flora as well and most of the immune system is in the gut. If you can get some goat yogurt this will help build up the flora again. You are twenty years old and the product of poor diets, and the guess would be the reason why you have these ailments first off would be lack of essential elements, the big worry is iodine defficiency, they used to clean the milk vats out with an iodine solution and the residue was in the milk which was enough... But they have sodded around with milk so much its getting a bit dicey. Children are actually being born with osteoarthritis these days.... Its a national scandal that the gov. Lets the lobyist protect the the big corporations that are pushing there "franken" food at the expense of the nations health. if you drink and eat a lot of dairy, the blood turns acid and uses the calcium in the bones to neutralise the acidosis. So instead of getting calcium from milk its ripping it out of the bones, and adding a lot of oestrogen. If you can afford it do a traditional japanese diet, and dont expect much impovement for a few months as it takes about three to get down to the cellular level. Start off with some kelp tablets. As a sugestion cayenne and garlic clean up the lungs fast. Bash the garlic and leave it for ten minuets and swallow it down raw. You are what you have eaten.

I have been suffering with osteoarthritis in my knees for years. After much research, I purchased Black Cherry juice concentrate and started taking 1 tbs 2x a day along with 1 tbs apple cider vinegar in 8 oz of water. I also take turmeric capsules 400 mg 3x a day. I am on day 10 and the pain that usually wakes me up at night has disappeared. I still have some stiffness but the pains are gone....nothing short of a miracle for me. Hi, I have read two posts on this site from Trish from Dusseldorf, Germany on 16/02/10 and a previous one from G Michael of Reading, PA that say that eating raw organic broccoli can help osteoarthritis. Trish said she ate one small broccoli head per day. I am a bit confused what a brocolli head is? Is it a single stem (eg 2 inches across) or a bigger stem (that divides into lots of smaller stems eg 8 inches across)? Clearly it's a big difference between the two. It would be easier if someone could please tell me roughly how much would that be in grams? Thanking you in advance.

Hi there Beladonna (ON)!
you have my sympathies regarding the perceived complexity of the advice regarding the implementation of an anti-arthritis treatment protocol!
However, we must think positively and note that there are so many foods one can turn to whilst moving ourselves towards a diet that causes us less pain and suffering.
The difficulty we have in the "West" is that we have gone down the wrong road in the past and now the chickens have come home to roost as it were and for a restoration of balance to take place, there is no quick fix-sorry, no magic bullet and your doctor / pharma giant will not "cure" you. Not fair I know but the answer is in our own hands if we remain focused and determined. Bodies can be re-built over time-good mantra to remember and treasure!
If you are young (lucky you! ) you will often times see results more quickly.
So, what to do? For sage guidance, switching gradually to the Mediterranean Diet would be a sensible starting point as an antidote to our present poor nutrition regime of too much meat, sugar (public enemy number one in my humble opinion), simple carbohydrates, fizzy drinks, alcohol etc etc - you get the picture?
The human body is a marvelous machine but eventually too much self- abuse will cause it to rebel by letting you know it through pain and suffering of the joints, bones, ligaments and muscles etc - the response will manifest itself in differing ways between individuals - some get IBS say but not others....
Having moved successfully to the MD (Mediterranean Diet) then one should seriously self-evaluate whether or not some components are "fit for purpose".
Should you cut out all that pasta for example? What about those nightshades - leave them alone maybe?
Beans can give you gas, so what is that doing to your intestines?
The above are all ingredients in the MD that we need not necessarily kick into touch but one needs to seriously listen to one's own body and be much more self-aware than we maybe have been in the past. This business requires a whole attitude shift on our part if we are to achieve a pain free future (any reduction would be a blessing though! ).
Lastly (I could rave on and you might fall asleep) a person could do worse than take a digestive enzyme pill or two to aid the metabolism of the evening meal. These little marvels should assist you with the assimilation of fats, carbohydrates, proteins and even raw foods! Well worth serious consideration!
Here we get help with bloating, intestinal gas, wind (lovely euphemism), discomfort and digestive issues after meals. They are also purported to replace the enzymes lost in cooking, which is a nice bonus - I am a big fan of enzymes - the forgotten nutrients. Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they are not there! Need to be kept in the fridge.
Lastly, you do not need to give up fats - they are no longer considered the main enemy. Also, consider all the info readily available on this wonderful Site regarding changing from an acidic body towards a more alkaline one.
Drink more H2O - become a wet person.
Cheers and good luck with your health restoration journey.

The doctors after x-raying my knees told me that I have oestoarthirits and said that the bones in my knees are rubbing each other recommended a knee replacement. I did not want that. I started my own treatment of massaging my own urine on both my knees. I would daily massage about 200 ml of my urine when I go to bed and wash away the next morning. After about 40 days i went to another orthopedic doctor and he x-rayed me and he said that I don't have oestoarthirits and my knees are 10 years younger than my real age of 70. I would not have to do a knee surgery for the next five years. The x-ray showed about half inches gap between the bones in both knees. I told him i still have knee pain. He said that it was due to arthritis. I am posting this for people who are suffering from OA.

Hello Michael, It's difficult to know how to advise not knowing how you eat. Over the last twenty years I learned the flowing (anti-caking) agent in commercial table salt is the culprit and is in practically everything. I use a sea salt that is considered "real" and is available at health food stores. Keep in mind that the majority of what is sold in health food stores contain other ingredients that contribute to inflammatory conditions. Turmeric and ginger reduce inflammation. You could also try BSM (blackstrap molasses) in warm water.

To Toronto: "I also, feel pain in my hip now on the same leg as the surgery (this reminded me of all of the ppl who were waiting at the hospital for hip replacements and I could not understand how the Creator would naturally make this to occur in our bodies solely on the basis of advanced years?"
God did not do the above, it is our own selves that cause our problems in our bodies from all the crappy food we have been given through our young lives and then our choices when an adult. Herbs and spices are Gods healing medicine and that of ancient times. I wish I had know this long long ago, now I too suffer from OA of the spine in the form of DDD disc degenerative desease upper and lower spine. Spinal fusion does not work. I did research on it and it doesn't work. Disc replacement is new and the votes not in yet. Cherry's are very good in many ways see this site: http://shine.yahoo.com/healthy-living/the-miraculous-properties-of-cherries-330530.html
And the one that mentioned coconut oil, yay for you a fellow believer in the powers of coconut oil, but get the good kind not the cheap stuff. And if you are in the country where they use it for fuel to replace diesel lucky you! I am in the US and no one has done it yet. I was taking 3 tbs a day of melted oil and don't worry it takes fine. I have been forgetting to do it and I feel awful... So I just started now and I am going to get some cherries no matter the cost or juice if I can find it.

Thanks so much! I appreciate the osteoporosis info, esp today! [Edit note: Penny is referring to blurb in our latest newsletter.]
By the way, you HAVE heard about boron for preventing and even reversing osteo-arthritis, haven't you?
Probiotics also rid me of sinus infections, but one needs to gradually work up to take them plentifully & regularly to be effective. A good idea, in my opinion, if one has allergies, IBS, sinus infections or otherwise compromised immunity. I read a scientific detailed report online stating that probiotics bond with carcenogens and "dance" them out of the body.

To Jasonmchicago: Ted had previously recommended msm for osteoarthritis, and hyaluronic acid for joint pain/degenerative disc disease. My husband has been on Ted's HA remedy for approx 2 1/2 weeks now, and is amazed at how differently he feels. The pain in his body is disappearing from top to bottom. Ted's remedy really works! Order the HA powder from Purebulk (Ted's recommendation, which is why I used it) or just go to the health food store and get the Now brand that is in capsule form, and includes msm in it. Just open the capsules and follow Ted's recipe for mixing it. Look at Purebulk's instruction page on HA, though, to give you specifics Ted does not mention, such as cold water ONLY, mix every few hours to blend the powder with the water, etc. Just follow Ted's actual recipe of ha powder and sea salt (NOT regular salt! BIG difference! ) Anyway, the reason I wanted to write you, though, is to tell you that hubby is going to now start on the msm for a tiny glitch in his back that he wants gone (although he is now saying that it's feeling so much better with just the HA. ) Read Ted's rather long post on HA. Very enlightening.

Hi Billi (Canada) -
Phil from Derbyshire posted that in 2012 so there is a good chance he won't see your questions.
Your best bet would be to get a book on magnet therapy.
The one Phil suggested (Magnet Therapy by Neville S. Bengali, 1978) can be found as a free PDF:
https://dn720402.ca.archive.org/0/items/sochara.magnettherapy0000beng/sochara.magnettherapy0000beng.pdf
As well, Earth Clinic has a section on magnet therapy:
https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/magnet-therapy.html
Amazon has a variety of books on the subject – read the reviews. Sometimes people will comment on what worked for them or if there is a better book to read.
Some online companies (do your research!) have kits (back pain, knee pain, whole body, etc.).
Check out videos online for magnet therapy or biomagnets.

In reply to Mike from San Antonio: You mentioned that you tried hyaluronic acid, but you didn't say how much you used each day. I found that 300mg per day was a fairly effective dose for me. At 200 mg per day the positive effect was significantly less. I weigh 175 lbs. At 300 mgs per day I first noticed benefit within the first two weeks.
I take 1/4 teaspoon of borax in a liter of water 4 days per week. I use a good glucosamine combination supplement that has the following ingredients in it:
Supplement Facts:
- Serving Size: 2 Caplets
- Servings Per Container: 40
- Amount Per Serving Daily Value
- Vitamin C (as Ascorbic Acid) 60 mg 100%
- Vitamin D (as D3 Cholecalciferol) 2,000 IU 500%
- Manganese (as Manganese Sulfate) 2 mg 100%
- Sodium 40 mg 2%
- Glucosamine HCI 1,500 mg (1.5 g) **
- Joint Shield
- Proprietary Blend 1,350 mg (1. 35 g) **
- Chondroitin/MSM Complex 1,250 mg (1.25 g) **(Chondroitin Sulfate, Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Collagen (Hydrolyzed Gelatin),
- Boswellia serrata (resin),
- Vitamin C, Manganese, Hyaluronic Acid)
- 5-LOXIN Advanced AKBA 100 mg **
- Boswellia serrata Extract (resin)
- Boron (as Sodium Tetraborate) 3 mg **
I also use Ted's topical arthritis remedy of castor oil and DMSO. I added aspirin, borax and niacinamide to the topical mix to try to improve the effect of his topical.
This combination is very helpful for me and has made a world of difference. I have degenerative disc disease, arthrits in my hips, back , neck, right knee and hands.

In reply to Cassey: I started with Ted's topical arthritis remedy and it worked after regular applications. I tried the following variation to see if I could get more relief.
I think Ted's remedy used 50% dmso and 50% castor oil. I used 60% dmso and 40% castor oil. For a small mix that last's me quite awhile I used 3 ounces of dmso mixed with 2 ounces of castor oil in a glass jar. To this mix I added 16 generic aspirin that are labeled as 325mg each. I then added a teaspoon of borax and 5 grams of niacinamide and let the mix sit overnight. The next day I shook the mix vigorously for several minutes and added spearmint essential oil to try and calm down the unpleasant odor of the mix as well as for its antibacterial properties. Shook the mix again and started using it. I'm not recomending or suggesting that anyone else try this, just mentioning what I did and how it worked for me. I also made a point of washing my hands as well as the application area before each application. I found that this mix seems to neutralize the fragrance of the spearmint oil over time so I would never make a larger mix than this and I think a mix half this size might be better so that it get's used up faster. When I first tried this mix, I applied a very small amount to a one square inch area on my inner forearm to test for hypersensitivity or allergic reaction before applying to my problem areas the next day.

Manipulative Therapy
Posted by Dr Bharti (Lucknow, Up, India) on 12/22/2010
Dear readers,
No other site can be better than earthclinic. Osteo-Arthritis is a disease where apart from pain relief a lot many factors should be considered. First of all it is a degenerative disorder where cartilage is damaged, spurs may be formed, space between the bones forming knee joints may be reduced. Patient suffers excruciating pain, stiffness and disability. As the diseases advances locking, unlocking and rotational movements are also lost. Structures which hold the knee joints also lose their competence. Tendons become less flexible, muscles harden. There are so many options which may temporarily reduce the knee pain. Until structural correction is achieved one cannot get permanent relief in knee joint Osteo-Arthritis.
Manipulative therapy aims at-
Release of chronic tension of muscles, ligaments and tendons forming knees, ankle joints and hip joints. Recalibration of muscles with their relationship, and
Realignment of bones. The following goals are achieved-
Relief in pain
Disability and
Stiffness. Patient may lead healthy life. After the structural correction patient is advised for exercises which may strengthen the muscles. During treatment patient may take pain relief support. In correction very simple tools like straps and ropes are used.

To Mumtaz & others, I also had arthroscopic knee surgery at the OsteoArthritic "Hospital" on Wellesley off Yonge St. in Toronto, Canada & only after the "simple, day surgery" was told later after a visit to my family doctor about osteoarthritis developing in the future as a result of the arthroscopic knee surgery! After tearing a meniscus and the leg swelling like a tree trunk down to the ankle, then scheduling the surgery after a "Doctor" at the local university sports clinic told me, literally red-faced, that I needed surgery! (which was cleverly sold to me by the operating surgeon Dr. Paul M. Toronto) which was scheduled 8-10 months after the initial injury, the knee and leg swelling went down within a few weeks, full flexibility (i. e. ankle able to touch back thigh) not yet as before the injury, but was much, much, much better by letting time and the body's own healing ability doing its job on its own, and all of this before the surgery! I should have listened to the inner voice and gotten up from the hospital bed that morning awaiting the anaesthetic before the Doc cut into me, even though as one of the hospital team informed me the procedures have become so advanced, "I would hardly see a scar on my leg".
If only I had known what I later learned from my G. P. even though I had specifically asked the operating doctor when I talked with him the one and only time before the surgery that I can expect osteo-arthritis in the knee as a result of the surgery.
I now know this case is not an isolated experience/incident and the guise of this needless procedure and its major consequences on one's life is the sole product of some professionally accredited liars.
I also, feel pain in my hip now on the same leg as the surgery (this reminded me of all of the ppl who were waiting at the hospital for hip replacements and I could not understand how the Creator would naturally make this to occur in our bodies solely on the basis of advanced years?
This I am sure is what is professionally opinioned to all seniors needing this done. Pls ppl do not believe the legalized scams of these professionally accredited con artists.
Good luck to all in your natural cures. Pls see the benefits and, yes, scientific studies done on the benefits of pimento oil (or "allspice" as many know from cooking a hearty meal) for osteo arthritic symptoms. I have not started using this yet as I have just found out about its reported benefits? Looks good, and seeming no need for worry about those pesky "side effects". Thanks.

Hi, Cindy. Thank you very much for this information. Can you please tell me how much sea salt you add to your water and how many times you would drink this each day? Also, how would you factor in the sodium that a typical person eats on a day to day basis? Granted that the source is probably mostly iodized salt... but how often would you drink the water/sea salt? Thank you in advance.

I'm sure Cindy will respond, but in the meantime you may want to check out the water cure at http://www.watercure.com/
It gives you the ratio of sea salt (MUST be pure sea salt) and water, along with testimonials from people who have found relief from all sorts of disorders. Very interesting Web site and one of the ingredients is free (water) - the other isn't very expensive (pure sea salt - you only use a bit). Good luck!

The Water Cure
The Water Cure Recipe:
Drink 1/2 your body weight of water in ounces, daily. Example 180 lb = 90 oz. of water daily. Divide that into 8 or 10 oz. glasses and that's how many glasses you will need to drink, daily. Use 1/4 tsp. of salt for every quart of water you drink. Use salt liberally with food. As long as you drink the water, you can use the salt. Avoid caffeinated or alcoholic drinks. These are diuretics and will dehydrate you. Every 6 oz. of caffeine or alcohol requires an additional 10 to 12 oz. of water to re-hydrate you.

Organic Broccoli

I am writing a book on natural cures that the Lord has guided me to write. About 4 years ago I was watching Gary Null on P.B.S. talk about the value of eating organic foods. It seemed reasonable to do since organic foods aren't sprayed with pesticides and also, the soil is richer becuase of the rotation of crops and not using chemicals in the soil. So, I decided to start eating organic broccoli every day. Also ,at that time I had osteoarthritis in both of my knees. I was already eating regular broccoli so it was easy for me to make the switch. A month later after eating the organic broccoli daily, my two sore knees were no longer sore. Praise The Lord! I started telling everyone who had sore joints about this marvelous treatment. It didn't matter what joints were involved, the broccoli would get rid of the pain. I have a friend who told me that she had two very sore ankles for about a year for which her doctor had prescribed pain medication but the pain medication didnt work. I told her about the broccoli and before she tried it she asked her doctor what he thought about eating organic broccoli to get rid of her pain. He rediculed the idea. She decided to ignore his reaction and do the broccoli. Three days later, the pain the gone. Praise The Lord! Also, her husband had two sore shoulders and he was skeptical about the broccoli getting rid of her pain. But after he saw the quick results for her he decided to do the broccoli. Within a short time his shoulers were pain-free.

Cod Liver Oil and Super greens cured me of my Osteoarthritis in my right knee and my right shoulder in less than 9 months. The pain subsided within a couple of weeks, that is when I knew I was on to something. I took 1 tablespoon of the Cod liver oil, and 1 Heaping tablespoon of the greens daily. I will not list what brands I used, but please make sure they are of the highest quality you can find. I now live pain free, and keep up the practice several times a week for maintenance.

I agree the only medicine I have tried that even comes close is diet and exercise. I eat a large amount of vegetables, expecially broccoli and stay as active as possible. Activity is what keeps us going.
Diet and Exercise

Hi Marra, I also had ostheoartritis around your age, mine in the right knee. First I was ok with supplements like shark's fin or wild berry extract, back when I only had problems in Spring and Autumn, no idea why. Then the pain became permanent, especially going up and down stairs and the supplements didn't work anymore. A few doctors told me that I would have to be on strong medication which seems to be quite bad for the stomach for a few years till I was old enough to have a new knee.
Luckily someone advised me to go to a health shop and the doctor tried electrodes. I felt better right away, a week later he did the same again and after that he tried another type, a lot more painful, I must say. But that was almost 6 years ago and so far I have never had pain again! He didn't even charge me anything. Last year we went to Portugal and I went to the shop again to let him know that I am still ok. Will I ever have problems again? I don't know.... But so far so good! So don't lose hope, the answer can be just around the corner!

Hi Sasha - I'm not Francisca but you might want to look into a TENS machine.
From Wikipedia: Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (acronym TENS) is the use of electric current produced by a device to stimulate the nerves for therapeutic purposes.
Physical therapists use them on patients with sports injuries, etc. Try an Internet search for TENS machines in your city. Good luck! Bess

I have a question about diet and osteoarthritis. The info on Internet regarding the issue is very confusing.
Some sources are suggesting no any kind of meat, no fats, no milk and etc. But others are suggesting healthy fats, proteins, fermented milk products. I understand the diet should be 100% healthy - no refined sugar, no fast foods, coke, but for the rest I really need the suggestions and personal experience.

Devil's Claw
Posted by T (Albert Lea, Mn) on 08/24/2016

I had to stop taking Devil's Claw for arthritis after 10 days. It made me light-headed...very dizzy. After reading about possible side effects I realized I was most likely experiencing low blood sugar (I am susceptible to this). I was taking 1800 mg a day. The dizziness went away the day after I stopped taking Devil's Claw. I am now using 500 mg of Egg Shell Membrane to manage arthritis pain in my hand.
