Suffering from a bad cold that turned to pneumonia, the glands on the left side of my neck, getting horribly bad to the point of concern of needing to go to the emergency room, I found this site, drank the ACV in water, and ohmygosh! At about 15 minutes the pain had abated about 50%, now, at about 45 minutes, it's abated about 75%!!! I'm sure now I'll asleep tonight and continue to get well. Thanks for all the posts on this!!!

I've had a tender lymph node on the side of my neck, running behind my ear, for a couple of weeks now. I started taking ACV twice a day, then increased to 3x a day. While there was some slight improvement, it wasnt enough so I've now tried castor oil - rubbed a small amount on my neck and behind my ear, put a towel on my pillow and then went to sleep for the night. When I awoke it was improved but not cured. Granted, it's only been one application so I feel that if I continue with the oil it will definitely heal.

Ron, I have had excelent results with Lapico or Pau-Da arco for swollen lymph. Message with vit E oil w/ lemon or cold liver oil to drain and strengthen. I also have good results with magnets for swollen, painful lymph nodes. I have also used small vibrator to help the lymph. It also looks like your body needs detoxing. I hot epsom salt bath plus Dr.Christopher's herbal "red colver combination" would make your immune system happy. good luck.

Research Gerson therapy. Go to Gerson.org Also watch videos on youtube.com about Gerson therapy. Gerson therapy is when you do coffee enemas, juice veggies, eat lots of potassium rich foods to help your body get rid of toxins and cure yourself of cancer. My mom is doing that right now for breast cancer. Look into it and read the book: Healing the Gerson Way by Charlotte Gerson. Good luck.

You could try applying castor oil packs to the mass every day for 60 minutes per session (Edgar Cayce), and jumping on a mini trampolin several times a day to get your lymphatic fluids flowing.

Okay, I have to start by saying that I am not hawking wares or trying to get anyone to sign up for anything. Just the opposite, in fact.

I am flatfooted, and have had some pain since I was little because of this. There were a number of injuries in my youth that never really healed. To make a long story shorter, the pain stepped up during puberty and I have not taken anything yet that alleviates it much at all. Basically, after 15 years of severe full body pain, frequent illness, and what was thought to be obesity and all the shame and scorn that comes with it, frustration and research lead me to attempt to drain my lymphatic system through very gentle massage.

Two weeks later, I have lost 12-15 inches in circumference without changing my diet or activity level... because my lymph nodes were clogged and the lymphatic fluid built up and stagnated (also known as cellulite).

It takes only a light touch and remembering to massage in counter-clockwise circles from the feet up, or head down, toward the heart, which is a main site of drainage.

I still have more to go and there were a number of other physical problems that developed since this all happened while I was growing, but the difference is so huge it's really absurd. I had no idea how contorted my body had become. It's been real torture -- my arms, shoulders and left leg essentially pinned in stress positions at all times. People who've seen me in the past couple weeks are stunned. I'm stunned.

And angry.

Labeled as fat for most of my life, I didn't get the help I needed because no one would believe that the problem could be anything but a character flaw. These processed foods are immunosuppressant, and I wonder if they haven't been the main cause for the spike in obesity, diabetes, cancer rates, as well as the increasing number of cases of autoimmune disease. Why would the body know what to do with this junk we find in the store?

Anyway, give it a try on your lymph nodes. I feel better than I have since I was a little girl. My eustachian tubes are opening up, all of my senses are enlivened, and I have more energy as my body is cleansed.

I noticed a change within minutes. You ought to be able to feel the cellulite transform from semi-solid to fluid, and an unblocked lymph node will suck it right up.

I hope this helps some people. I've been massaging obsessively since I learned this, which explains the quick results. I think. But really. Obsessively.

If you can have someone help you with your back, do -- it's better if you can relax. Let's see... oh, and it can't hurt to give it a shot because the worst case scenario is that your body gets a little tlc.

I had very bothersome lymph nodes for many years(about 8 years). Mainly my neck. Had every test under the sun. Everything was negative. The thing I finally found that worked was vitamin C. About 4 grams a day. It took a about a month till they were hardly noticeable. Even now(12 years later)... If I feel them even a little, I'll take more and usually a day and I'm fine again. The past year I haven't taken any. Just figured I'd share this. They were very bothersome all the time... I know what it's like.

Dear Momma,

Many on this site use organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. There are many good brands. My personal favorite it Eden. I think it has the best taste. But Bragg's is good too and there are lots of good brands.

For acute sickness in my children, I give them Hot Vinegar Tea several times a day. 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 Tablespoon Honey in a mug of hot water. That is the amount I use for a child 12 or over. For smaller children I give less.

We found Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to work very well for mono, even relapses. I was giving my son, who was 17 at the time, a Tablespoon three times a day. He ate it off the spoon, but didn't like it. :) But he is pretty stoic. He turned the corner in 36 hours.

I massage castor oil into swollen lymph nodes and find it helpful, too.

I hope your daughter feels better soon!

I also woke with a tennis ball sized lump along my jawline. It would increase in size whenever I would eat. Went to Dr and referred me to ENT Dr. I had a stone in salivary gland. Lanced it under my tongue to remove the stone and immediately it went down. I could see the stone before I went in, but didn't know what it was. Not been bothered by it again. This has been about 27 years ago.

I tried the ACV orally plus the ACV, H202 & epsom salt bath to help reduce my son's swollen lymph nodes. I did this for 5 days and it did seem to help soften it a bit but the most improvement I've noticed was after I massaged the swollen nodes with CASTOR OIL. After applying the castor oil, I applied a piece of cloth (should be flannel), then a plastic bag then a heating pad. I also applied did the CASTOR OIL PACKS in the stomach area. This is supposedly outlined in the Edgar Cayce's readings (he was a healing psychic). There was a significant reduction in swelling (flattening) within 2 days after I started with the castor oil. If you do an internet search on castor oil for swollen lymph nodes it will give you the detailed procedure.

Hi, about a month ago I developed a swollen lymph infection and was prescribed 7 day antibiotic pill pack but it did not work. Then it went away however it moved to my front collar bone area and have a lump there. Yes, I was freaking out too because it is very different from other sicknesses. I tried Acupuncture 3 times and was told my lymphatic system is unbalanced and not functioning properly because all my lymph nodes in legs were affected as well and very painful to touch.

2 days ago I started hot apple cider vinegar w/local honey and I have noticed improvement. The lump went down a bit. I am hoping it lasts and never comes back but I have also been ordered by the doctor to completely change my diet as well and so I have. I cannot afford to be sick like that. I hope you are feeling better.

Dear Mama,

Thank you for your reply.

After reading all the posts and doing some research online I feel a little better. I have been drinking some ACV and some hot tea to try and see if it would make a difference.

To my surprise, ACV does help for a while. The pain does go away but come back in a few hours.

Hello, my lymph nodes have been swollen for a few weeks. I saw that taking ACV could help them, and after taking 3 TB of it shot style the pain has already went down. I'm simply wondering how long will it take for my lymph nodes to completely unswell and to return to normal?

I'm also concerned because I hear ACV has a lot of great health benefits but causes weight loss? I don't want to lose weight but would love taking ACV for those benefits...but if it causes weight loss I'd prefer to avoid it after my lymph nodes unswell. Thanks!

I woke up this morning with horribly swollen lymph nodes under my jaw, and am working on a cup of hot water with honey and apple cider vinegar, per recommendations elsewhere in this thread. Kept reading, and I'm glad I did! I tried tapping as described here and got instant relief- my entire jaw and throat loosened up within 30 seconds or so, and swallowing is much easier and less painful.

I think that between tapping and ACV I'll be able to keep this under control without heading to the medicine cabinet or drugstore. Thank you, Gtcharlie and other earthclinic posters!

GtCharlie - THANK YOU!! Since I have been rubbing and poking at the painful areas on my upper right & left jaw and behind my ears and down my neck for weeks, I really didn't think the semi circle tapping would do anything different. AAAAHHH! Relief! I've just been doing it for the last 20 minutes (intermittently) and my jaw pain is pretty much gone. My neck feels so much better and behind my ears are already less tender. I thought my upper traps hurt from stress/sitting at the computer, but the tapping relieved the tension their too - so I'm thinking maybe that was the lymph just sitting there not draining. Thank you for sharing. <3

In 1993, I went to a concert and the next day I came down with the worst throat infection ever. It didn't go away fully, but got better, then a month later, I was very sick again. I now believe it to have been mono and I have been sick with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since and have been disabled since '97. I cannot sing or raise my voice without pain and I have difficulty swallowing and tenderness especially in the right side of my neck. It usually isn't as bad unless my resistance is down or I am sick or stressed, but the difficulty in swallowing has gotten worse and it's very scary. I have been very sick with asthma, sinus infection and my costochondritis. All of this makes me feel like I'm suffocating. Doctors have been no help in the throat issue. Say my tonsils are fine. Am supposed to have an ultrasound of thyroid done and see a gastro doctor. Am trying all kinds of home remedies and have completely changed my diet. No pop, dairy, soy, etc. Essential oil rubs and just used castor oil. Trying to jump up and down and get walk around as I feel up to it since I'm sick. Have a cellulite massager to use temporarily. Please tell me there is hope this will improve.

Hi,

I have problem with lymph node behind left ear. First my right lymph node behind ear got swollen and painful. I went to doctor and he prescribed amoxycylin (3 pills daily). He told me it's an ear infection (bacteria).

Few days later right lymph node started to decrease in size, but then lymph node behind left ear showed up and increased. When I finished with antibiotic (after one week) my right lymph node completely disappeared. Left one also decreased in size but was still there so doctor gave me a prescription - topical antibiotic Fuzidin.

I used it on the node as well as Tea Tree Oil. So my left lymph node became even smaller but still didn't disappear completely. Already one and a half month passed and it's very small but still there. When I touch it there is no pain at all. I am wondering if there is any problem with it? When would it disappear completely? Should I visit doctor again?

Thank you!

I am so sorry to hear that the cancer has returned. Please see if you can get some low dose naltrexone and take 4. 5 mg. of it each night. It helps many people with cancer, along with alkalizing the body with lemon and baking soda, twice a day. Take good care and know that the prayers of many are with you. Maybe you could find Bill in the Phillipines to help you?

Lalaboo, So unsatisfied with my first note and I am not sure it was even acceptable. I have never written on a forum before. Please find the books to read on curing the body of cancer. You must go at it 100% which means no cheating even for one cup of coffee or a glass of wine. One must become total in the journey of adding no more toxins to the body. James F. Balch's book has needed information for you on coffee enemas for example. (organic only, of course) Some things have to be replaced in your system and this book will guide and educate you. He has an M. D. And nutritional background. There are many other good books as well.

Read Ascorbic Acid Flush in his book and Blood Purifier drinks as well. Drink only pure water. Our problem with tap water here is chlorine and fluoride. Again, High doses of vit C and pancreatic enzymes as directed. Brew and drink essiac tea morning and evening. Do not get confused with all the information out there and become overwhelmed. Do the major basics and help your body heal itself. I did 20, 000 vit C a day and it did not come out in my urine. My body used all of it. When it started appearing in my urine, I cut back. I was recovering at that time and after a year, my blood work showed normal. I do 3, 000 a day now per Linus Pauling's research.

De-tox, rebuild immune system, and eat only pure food with no red meats. Macrobiotic food is good for the healing of the body. Do colonics if available.

Think of chemicals, where they are and do not use them. Nothing on your nails ever. I was ill with this disease (breast) and a friend of mine was stage 4. She did what I did and we are here and well and it was over 20 years ago for us. She did surgery and chemo once and I did neither. We both denied radiation.

Coconut oil (unrefined and organic) can be used on your skin and nails. I also put it on my veggies and I give 1 T to my 70 lb. Dog on his food twice a day. (per my vet) Blessings to you.

The body is divided by Western medicine into four quadrants.

The waist is considered to be the horizontal dividing line. the mid point or centre line from the middle of the top of the head to the middle of the groin is the vertical division line. I had nodes in all four "quadrants".

Since then the Truth About Cancer Gl;obal Quest has explored so much of this.

Nature is SO bountiful with cures, one need only be open to safe easy ways to be well.

I too had a wisdom tooth pulled. It was impacted and then I got what they call a dry socket. Due to many infections, they cauterized it and I still have problems. For many reasons, I have lost faith in physicians and instead always now look for a natural cure if possible. But, I truly believe this was all caused by that wisdom tooth. Right now, the gland is swollen and even my cheek is swollen on that side. This is the worst I have had it so I am search for "natural cures".

Who says cancer isn't a deadly infection? Imagine the collapse of the industry if that became well known?

Imagine if bacteria and fungi and viruses could morph from one to the next, if they were pleomorphic.

Well, medicine only now has begun to arrive at full circle and to discover that indeed this is the case, that the Pasteur world view is incomplete, at best.

Pasteur's perspective was that ALL bad diseases originate from outside the body, act as invaders, and must be denied entry.

In the world of medicine, Pasteur trumped Bechamp and rendered his subtle, insightful theories obscure, by successfully asserting that all infections gain entry from outside, acting like foreign incursions.

Bechamp, on the other hand, argued that we all live with good and not good bacteria, that fungi, bacteria and viruses are merely different stages, held in check, or not, that they are part of a singular progression and that it is internal imbalance within which allows these bacteria, fungi and viruses to morph, that they are in fact pleomorphic.

Pasteur won. And his views prevailed. Hence pasteurization.

Next, imagine using munitions grade mustard gas and deadly radiation (which killed discoverer Madame Curie) to tackle a deadly infection called cancer.

Completely illogical.

This is why antimicrobials such as aloe vera and iodine kill off cancer. Cancer blood slides are often indistinguishable from the fungi of extreme candida slides.

Maybe you should try switching some of the fats in the diet to coconut oil and other sources of medium chain triglycerides. These might put less stress on the lymphatic system.

I have had problems with swelling in the past, and find that bitter diuretics, such as celery seed tea, help. Celery seed increases blood flow to the liver and thins the blood, so make sure it is ok with other medications. I am sure there are other good herbs, too. I haven't tried many of the more exotic ones (some are expensive, so I will exhaust the pantry first! ). Parsley helps (I cannot eat it raw, so I saute it in a little good butter and scramble an egg),

Raw apple cider vinegar works really well - but sometimes you have to wait a few days.

This fall, after doing a lot of research on food history, I have started making oatmeal brose. This is a traditional scottish beverage, but does not seem to be drunk much in modern times. I find it to be very soothing and slightly diuretic. I pour 1 quart of boiling water over 1/2 cp of good oats. After it cools, it becomes almost syrupy (almost the consistency of aloe juice). The oats swell up a lot, but you can squeeze them in a cheesecloth to get all the liquid. Maybe it is because I am not eating the roughage with it, but this has a very different effect on me than just eating oatmeal porridge. It also might be more acceptable to your mother than some other concoctions, as its flavor is quite pleasant. It seems to reduce tissue and lymph node swelling. I have never seen this elsewhere, so I would be interested in seeing if others have experience with it. It shouldn't have any interactions with medications.

Maybe you could reheat it with some anti-inflammatory herbs, such as cinnamon or ginger.

I never use chlorinated water; it exacerbates all the bad things. If your mother is drinking and showering or bathing in chlorinated water, you should try to get a filter installed.

Maybe a natural source of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K2 would also help.

I hope that your mother improves.

Dear Susanna,

It wouldn't hurt to try the Apple Cider Vinegar for your swollen lymph node, and might help! You can try 1 Tablespon of the vinegar and 1 Tablespoon of honey in a mug of hot water, 2-3 times a day.

If you still have some strep infection, you could try some things for that too. Even if you don't test positive for strep, these things may be helpful. You can add some cayenne pepper to your salt water gargle. (1/4 cup water, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon cayenne. ) Do this every other hour. Put some lip balm on before hand so the cayenne doesn't bother your lips. It is very spicy, but very helpful! Also, raw garlic, one clove, minced, 4x a day. (You can put it on toast or in honey. )

Castor oil and or peppermint essential oil often help relieve swollen lymph nodes.

I hope you feel better soon. Let us know what helps!

I am so thankful for these home remedies. This time last night, I was in terrible pain from a swollen lymph node in my groin area. This is the first time I ever had one in this area. I have had them under my arms, but this was a first. After taking pain medicine and getting very little relief, I tried the 1 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. By morning, the pain had diminished tremendously. So much so, I did not take anymore pain medicine, and the swelling had gone down some. I decided to take a tablespoon of castor oil, and then 3 hours later, around 9:00am, I took 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in just a little water. What had been pain was now just discomfort. By noon I took another 2 tablespoons of ACV and put a warm compress on the area because I noticed that it was actually turning into a boil that was preparing to drain. What is so incredible about this is that the night before, there was no sign that this mass was going to drain at all! Within 10 minutes of using the warm compress, the boil began to drain and there was instant relief. Tonight I have taken another 2 tablespoons of ACV and I've drank a little more of the 1 teaspoon sea salt and baking soda. I am sure I will have a good nights rest, unlike the last 3 nights.

I woke up and I could literally feel my right lymph gland swelling - within 15 minutes it got about the size of a lemon and was starting to hurt and I couldn't move my neck. Not knowing what to do I happened to see some ACV staring me in the face in my fridge and knowing it was good for anything, I took 2 Tbsp. in water. Within 5 minutes the swelling went down and by 15 minutes the pain and most of the swelling was gone. 2 days later, I am continuing to take it 3 times a day and it is much better. I suspect my body is still fighting off the infection. I was amazed.

Your lymph system is the sewer for your cells. It has no pump like your blood system. The only natural way to keep the system flowing is to exercise. Another good way to keep it flowing is to dry brush your skin prior to your bath. Since the system flows to your bowels, brush only in that direction. The constriction of your skin to the brush causes the fluid to flow. Swollen nodes is a sign of pluggage. Google dry skin brushing for more specifics. I continue to be amazed at the simple things we can do to obtain better health. Just sorry I waited until I was in my 70's to begin to learn.

You have a choice of several remedies on this Site for Swollen Lymph Glands. Don't let the swelling get too advanced. Thing is to be consistent in taking them! Wish I had known about these options before they cut out my lymph node several decades ago looking for cancer!! I still have the scar to prove it! It looked rather like a zip fastener after the stitches came out! Small children would either run to their mothers and cry or ask me what it was. I told the small ones that I kept my crayons in there! Some of them believed me!

However, you may have already tried mixing a teaspoon each of sea salt and bicarbonate of soda in a glass of water? Not too pleasant eh? Lymphatic Drainage Technique is another thing to try. Bouncing gently on a mini-trampoline OR a Pilates ball if you are more sedate! Mega doses of 1,000mg Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate preferably). Ice pad for five minutes only to ease the swelling, followed after a suitable interval by a Castor oil pack applied with heat externally for longer than fifteen minutes or so. Alfalfa tablets to loosen you up in my experience anyway.

Last but not least, some sort of ACV treatment protocol to suit your taste and plenty of ideas on this Site.

I hope this helps you.
