I'm not usually one to post on forums, but I was having some of the worst pains ever from my lymph nodes and throat. I'd been taking medicine that really just wasn't helping and decided to look up a natural remedy. I came across this page and went to the grocery, got some ACV, and came home and mixed a shot with a small glass of water. WOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW

Not only can I swallow again, but my lymph nodes are 1/2 the size they were before. The effects were almost instantaneous and gradually my symptoms have been decreasing. Thank you so much to whoever made this page.

I've had swollen lymph nodes from time to time and read about the castor oil remedy. Having used it for other healing, I decided to give it a try.

I took about a Tablespoon of castor oil and added a drop of peppermint oil. I rubbed this mix onto the lymph nodes and that's it! I read about this in the evening so I did it before bed. Next morning it was all gone.

Just one application has worked for me the 2-3 times I have needed it.

I had a tonsillectomy this past October, and since then my lymph nodes on my throat and jaw have been more sensitive. I did find relief while drinking elderflower tea, but it can get a bit pricey and it only helps for so long. The pain was getting worse because of a sinus infection I was trying to kick. I got antibiotics but still, nodes were on and off again painful. Saw this blog, left work for 20 mins and bought some ACV. It has been about 30 mins since I took it, and I gotta say there is some improvement in my right side node. My left is still a bit sensitive, but not as sensitive as it was earlier. Will take another shot before class! Thanks to everyone who posted about it, I was hesitant until I read all the great responses. Mahalo

Iodine

Seven years after "diagnosis" of incurable stage three B cell follicular NHL (Non Hodgkins Lymphoma):

Info update for Iodine, meaning solely potable iodine, specifically Lugol's potable iodine.

A compound pharmacist compounded for me a solution of 12%.

I used 5 drops daily in an ounce of George's debittered aloe vera, to which I added 8 Lumina oxygen drops.

Since that time there have been crack downs on compounding pharmacists, since this cheap cure interferes with the profit margin of the trillion dollar cancer industry.

Now the maximum compounded permitted here is Lugol's 5% strength iodine.

Adjust the dose accordingly. The correct number of drops to equal 12%

Always take a day or two a week to "rest" from iodine.

There is no limit to how much can be painted on nodes externally. Try not to use cotton or Q tips as it contains toxins. Toilet paper contain formaldehyde. Why? Go figure.

Natural alternatives to iodine which are easy to obtain:

There is no limit to how much Nori Sushi type dried Seaweed one can take daily, a perfectly legitimate source of iodine.

Cut out all processed foods, expecially all sugar, dairy, all things "white". Most processed foods and all bread are loaded with bromine which is an antagonist to iodine absorption.

My daughter woke in the morning with her neck swollen on one side. I took her to the dr/ to see what it was. I was told she had a lymph node infection. He prescribed antibiotics for it. I don't agree with antibiotics so I went to this website and search for the cure. I did the 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon sea salt and 1 tspoon of baking soda. I made her drink as much as she could of that. She's 5 yr old and its difficult to make her drink anything she don't like. I also gave her a few yogurts to eat. And bathed her in a bath of water with 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of epsom salts and 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide. I made sure to continuously pour the water over her throat area. well, I was amazed to see that it was no longer swollen that night and the next morning she was just fine like nothing ever happened. I love this website!

I have had swollen nodes or cyst for about a week now. Been scared to death, had ultrasound done but no results yet. Anyways after reading your entries I decided to try the ACV and I swear my neck an hour later feels almost completely normal. I feel a little lump there almost like a pea or a bean but nothing like it was. I'm in amazement.

Dear Sal,

When I was in my early 20s (I am 48 now) I had trouble with my swollen lymph nodes. I had no idea what to do for them and did nothing except go to a doctor once in a while. It was scary to me. I eventually had some lymph nodes removed and biopsied but all was fine.

I still get swollen lymph nodes, especially in the area where I had some removed. (Now the ones that are left have to work harder!!! ) Massaging castor oil with some peppermint essential oil (maybe 3 drops peppermint to 1 teaspoon castor oil) helps mine to feel better immediately.

Exercise is great for the lymph nodes, especially jumping on a rebounder (mini-trampoline). (Even just light bounces will be helpful.)

Drinking plenty of water will help your body to flush out toxins and will help your lymph system.

Consider some immune boosting supplements/herbs. (Astragalus root, vitamin C, garlic.)

See this page for ideas on improving your general health.

I have swollen gland in the back of my neck. I was freaked out because I got a sore throat also.

1. I drink a shot of ACV mix with honey one in the morning and one before dinner.
2. I use Castor oil rub and massage on the gland.

It seems like working for me the gland is getting smaller and almost disappear after couple day and my sore throat is gone. Thanks to ACV and Castor Oil.

I'm 28, Male and have been suffering from multiple lymph nodes on both sides of the neck for the past 5 years. I've had multiple fine need biopsy and Sentinel Lymph node excision biopsy and CT scans during after 6 months of onset but was inconclusive for many possibilities including lymphoma, sarcoidosis, TB, etc. The pathology mostly said it was Reactive Lymph nodes.

Also, my SCM muscles kept swelling up because of these and then wondered if it was Fibromyalgia after seeing some posts on earthclinic. Then I started a Sugar free, diet with minimum brown rice, lentils, beans, steamed veggies etc alternating with Carrot/Beetroot juice fasting intermittently ACV water, I had significant improvement in the swelling. I almost always felt better with the Juice fasting. But I was losing weight a lot. I was down from 160 pounds to 130 in 4 months and I put on almost all the weight in the next 2 months when I resumed my regular diet (high carb, occasional junk).

Then I started Cold CASTOR OIL application on the neck daily for 5 minutes and doing mild Excercise (Stretching, spot jumping) for 15 minutes before bathing for exactly 1 month while on a Zero Sugar, med carb, med protein, veggies diet while trying not to lose weight.

The Results were AMAZING. The Swelling around lymph nodes reduced significantly though not disappeared completely I'd say I feel much better. The SCM muscle swelling and no more flaring up which happen after meals earlier.

I halted this remedy after I had a scare yesterday after I reading in some post about castor oil application might spread certain cancers which might spread the disease.

I would definitely resume this method once I am sure I am not doing more harm by spreading bacterial/malignant conditions.

Would love Ted's or anybody elses feedback.

I would like to add for the swollen lymph nodes in the neck, to rub a small amount of Turpentine ( Pure gum Spirits ) along the lymph nodes on both sides of the neck. I did this and in less than 24 hours the nodes had went down and the infection was gone.

Tapping

For swollen lymph nodes: Before anyone suggest a supplement or treatments from your doctor, you can perform a DIY to see if it helps. It involves no cost, no drug, and no pain!

Method: cup your hand, keep all finger tips together forming a semi circle, peck/tap on the nodes on your neck, gently first and progressively with a little more effort. That area will become warm in just a few minutes, showing the increase of blood flow. Do as often you like. Be patient, it takes a long time to form the swelling and it will also take time to remove it! If you notice improvements in a week or so, find a good diagram of the Lymphatic System on the web, work according to the flow of the ducts (towards the collar bones). Do both sides at this time. The purpose is to move the lymph fluids!

Lymphatic fluids are moved by muscle contractions. If one sits all day long, the fluids become staid that can cause a buildup.

Hello I was reading the threads for Swollen Lymph nodes and under Ted's recommendations as the Lymph nodes under my chin to the left of my face have swollen to 3 times normal for 5 weeks now.. I still don't know what is causing it though the CT showed no serious ailments..... Amoxil and Doxcycylin didn't work so I tried Apple Cider Vinegar. I just started drinking swigs from the bottle an organic brand here called Macro... I have so much energy today I feel something is definitely improved in those area regarding ACV.... I am also a firm believer in Calcium Ascorbate... Pure VIT C and have been taking that as well.... I recommend take the AC vinegar with some suitable foods as its a bit strong or mix with other suitable juice or water... I am going to keep taking it. I felt like I was sweating out an infection overnight and hope in time this marvelous tonic called AC Vinegar might help thank you to everyone who wrote under this topic for Swollen Lymph nodes you helped me!! Cheers all the best to you...Jane

Iodine

Dear Maryanne & Rob:

First, send for undiluted 5% strength lugol's from Kripps Pharmacy or Finlandia, both in Vancouver, Canada, I researched this in depth. I checked & iodine has been diluted down to almost useless everywhere. Not a profit maker. I surmise cheap cures for cancer are a major threat 2 the billion dollar "industry". Iodine was long called the miracle cure, 19th century doctors knew this well. If you are a research nut like me go to iodine 4 health dot com. If I support my thyroid master gland, my mood lifts markedly as my hormones balance out. Sleep? I remember nothing til morning. The rebounder offers exercise. More important its G-force releases white cells. Lymph nodes are one way straws minus a pump, there to protect us by containing debris & other threats. There are even "sentinel" lymph nodes. This is why I said NO to slice-&-dice diagnosis & radiation, unintentionally thwarting the oncologist. Rebounders release many white cell soldiers to fight back everywhere, partnering w/ iodine. We all need a bit of exercise (least perceived effort, most gain is elliptical) to be fair to ourselves. If you suspect or blood tests reveal your nodes are indolent (silent) lymphoma, it is easy to stage cancer non invasively by palpating by how many quadrants have enlarged nodes. Quadrants are divided by the 2 areas above & below the diaphragm & by right & left sides of the body's centre meridian. I have shrunk nodes on both sides of the neck, groin, rib cage, armpits. Cancer is just like a septic tank! It thrives in an acidic environment, w/ no oxygen & feeds exclusively on fast sugars. If you oxygenate, cut out ALL sugar, ALL ASPARTAME, all toxins, & alkalinize, you starve cancer to death, (poor thing). Multi enzymes, mega strength ECGC green tea caps of any brand, grapeseed extract cause rapid cancer cell death, as does selenium, Vit E, which work synergistically together. Side benefits of the iodine (& smoothies diet) & the rest? Lost 27 lbs in 3.5 months & now my face complexion is excellent instead of pale! Shoot, I am wearing clothes that have come full circle & are now back in style from 20 years ago! I am winning this war, & so can you.

I am 30 years old and recovering from cellulitis/staph infection. The lymph nodes in the groin area of the leg where the infection began have been really swollen, limiting range of motion and causing significant discomfort walking, sitting Indian style, etc. Yesterday I took 2t ACV with about 8 0z of club soda (sparkling water) two times. This morning I already notice significant improvement, I can sit Indian style and don't notice any tenderness. I am truly amazed!

This is to 11/15/2006: Tracee from Boise, Idaho who is inquiring about remedies to help with her swollen lymph nodes.

This of course is just my experience but wanted to share it since it was pretty profound for me and am still amazed.

Tracee you could try using the Apple Cider Vinegar for your swollen lymph nodes. I originally started to take it for my sinuses and by the next day of using it my lymph nodes were smaller by far. I have had swollen lymph nodes for as long as I can remember and have just come to be used to it so when I noticed them shrunk it was kinda weird. I cant believe that this ACV worked just from one day!! You have nothing to lose by trying it so all I can say is good luck if you decide to. Oh and as a side note my lymph nodes would swell any time I was doing some kind of detoxing. And like you they got worse when I stopped putting unhealthy things in my body mine being certain foods and alcohol. I believe that this is due to the extra toxins and things coming out at a faster rate and the lymph nodes job being one of filtering. When you detox and eat smarter it gives your body more power to do its job of riding itself of these toxins and unfortunately it works the lymph nodes extra hard. If you want to know how much of the ACV I was using it was only a table spoon for the first day then I decided to take about 3 by putting it in my water that I take to work which is about 3 or so liters. It actual quenches my thirst better and don't need to drink as much water as I used too. I think my problem was dry mouth that made me drink more and I think that was due to yeast. I'm still working on riding my body of yeast and parasites. This weekend I start the Paracleans so it should be interesting lol. Oh and another thing is that I stopped taking one of my medications I have had to take now for 4 years. This is all due to the ACV!! And I have many other things that have happened from the ACV but wont put it here since this is getting very long. God knew what he was doing when he gave us ACV.

Take care Tracee and the best of health to you!! Cherie in Canada.

Mullein Tea

In reply to Wendy from Coon Rapids, to clear the lymph gland nodules in your brothers neck, and reduce the swelling there, and clear up his sore throat which is also being caused by the swollen lymph glands; then have your brother go out and pick some mullein leaves, and, or flowers; cut them up, put a hand-full in a quart jar, pour boiling water on them, let cool enuf to drink, and drink 3 cups per day for about 1 week, or longer. The lymph gland swelling should go down, and the sore throat cured.

2nd remedy- echinacea herb. herb, root, or tincture. Make a herb tea of then echinacea, or buy the tincture and take 20 drops three times per day, for 1 or 2 weeks. Can be taken at the same time as the mullein leaf and flower tea.

The swollen lymph glands in the neck [and elsewhere] used to be called "SCROFULA", in the 1700's & 1800's.

Hi everybody, I have been addicted to this site for the last 3yrs and it's amazing how many health problems ACV really does cure, it's a miracle itself. My lymph nodes on my throat have flared up twice now in the last two weeks and I'm sure it's from smoking more than I usually do. I cured it the first time by boiling chopped up ginger and garlic and adding cayenne peppper. The stronger and more concentrated the tea the better if you ask me. I add tsb of agave honey to help it taste better and added virgin coconut oil and ACV after to the tea. It sounds like a crazy drink but I actually like it as I know it's going to fix me. After 1hr my pain had gone. I was so happy! I also tried it with white vinegar and raw coconut vinegar which was still effective. If you only have that in the kitchen still try it as it also eased my pain. I hope this helps someone else.

Thankyou Earthclinic, u changed my life! <3

Hi! I'm a 32 year old female and amother of 2 wonderful kids. It's been 12 years since I had my first excision biopsy in my left collar bone. and it's been 6 years since I was first diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma.

the wound fromy first operation is (the result according to my first doctor was non specific lymph adenitis) still swollen have hole and there's still fluid coming out of it. The second was done july 2006 on my right shoulder. The wound healed after 3 days. But the result was devastating! I was positive for hodgkins lymphoma. I underwent chemo for 7 months for 14 sessions and 1 month radiation. all the mass shrinked its big sizes, but theres still a few left in my neck and in my left underarm.

3 years after, I got a miracle from heaven. I got pregnant again which I didn't expect anymore because my doctors said that I can't be pregnant again. But I did. and thankful for my healthy baby boy even though I had gone hysterectomy after giving birth to my 2nd child.

i thought everything is going good, even though I still have my wound in my neck that sometimes heals but most of the time is open and secretioning fluid (like right now).. Until I decided to have it removed again january of 2010. The result was like the 2nd result to my biopsy. I got my hodgkins lymphoma back again. I undergo with chemo again, but this time just for 6 months and 6 sessions only.

My wound in the neck closed during and after the chemo but march last year it was open again. And the lymph node in my underarm grew even bigger. And I got new mass again the middle of the collar bone, even in my left breast. I still haven't gone to a doctor since last year. I have my kids to feed first through the help of my mom because I couldn't find a job because of my scary looking neck.

I'm afraid my doctor would tell me to go through chemo again. I don't think I still can make it anymore. Right now I am taking herbal medicines but I think they don't work for me anymore. I just think they're all making all it even worse.

Reading all your feedback/comments makes me really wonder. You're still all lucky you didn't go through what I've been going through. Be happy and be thankful. I am thankful still. Because god gave me 3rd life, a daughter and a baby boy and a supportive family and friends. I still feel good because of my love for them. I don't want to let them down.

I will fight cancer until the end. And while I am having a battle with it, I'll just smile and still give thanks to the lord. God bless everyone! : )

Thank you for the advice everyone shared. Had swollen glands and sipped about 3 tablespoons of the ACV - within a half an hour they had greatly reduced. I never expected it to happen so fast. Continued to take the same dose over the course of the day every 4 hours and again the following day. Feel so much better. Can't say how many times this site has helped me.
