Hello, I have a question for either Bill from the Philippines or Ted... I have been taking BHT for hepatitis c... I also have polyneuropathy (which my Dr's tell me is from the hep c. inflammation)... I am concerned that the BHT would dissolve the myelin sheath on my nerves... Can that happen when taking BHT? Thank you very much

Dear Oscar, wanted to update that Daniel concluded on first of July 6 months of BHT intake: 1/8 tsp in water first thing in the AM. Of course he admits that he missed a morning here and there. (Daniel is the one who was taking 1/2 a tsp and you shouted it was way too much - indeed he had muscle aches and other side effects - all gone since reducing dosage to 1/8tsp).

His viral count before BHT was 1,150,000.

he got the results today of blood work he took two weeks ago: only 250,000!!!

He is very happy. Sends you his sincere gratitude. He will of course continue for another duration of 6 months and we are praying for a ND result.

We commend you on your devoted help to humanity all over the world. More power to you.

Dear Heather, Thank you very much for reporting back to the EARTH CLINIC with Daniel`s test results. This feedback is so very important. It is the only way this life saving information can get out to the other people who are infected with hepatitis C. So if I am reading you correctly Daniel is achieving these results using about 350mg of BHT once a day with water on an empty stomach. I recall that Daniel is on the lean side. By that I mean he is somewhat thin and does not have much fat. We are trying very hard to come up with what is a safe and effective dosage and your feedback is very helpful. Thank you so very much for reporting back to the EARTH CLINIC. That is doing your part in this effort....Oscar

Hello Oscar, I can't say if it is 350mg because we don't have analytical weights to verify this.

He takes the 1/8tsp with water on empty stomache twice a day. This dosage does not give him the muscle aches he experienced when he was enthusiastic and took 1/2 tsp. I wish to stress for anyone reading that the BHT he takes is Chemically Pure grade of 98. 5% checked by HPLC in an accredible lab.

He is very lean. I doubt he has more than 10% body fat. He is a laborour and works physically 6 days a week. You can see he is all muscle and bones.

The alleviation he feels is being less tired at the end of the day an he looks better - less dull.

In regards to supportive supplements: he took quercetin (studies show this inhibits the virus Hep-C), he took alph-lipoic (to enhance mitochondria respration), he took Q-10 - for same reason. But he did not take these supplements for the entire 6 months duration due to them being costly. So he would buy one and take it till it ended. There were weeks when BHT was the only thing he took.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Dear Heather from Jeruselem, Thank you for your detailed and informative posting. I will pass this information on to other people I am in contact with who have hepatitis C. From an earlier posting by you about 1 week ago it seems to me that Daniel is well on his way to ridding himself of this at times deadly infection with the use of BHT taken as you have detailed in this posting I am responding to. I wish to point out that Daniel is a very physically active person. I have been encouraging people to stay physically active. Not everyone can work as hard as Daniel does. But they can at least take walks or do some other type of exercise. No matter what treatment a person tries, this exercise is important. Thank you so very much for this detailed posting Heather and Daniel. I wish you both very long, healthy, and happy lives. Sincerely, ...Oscar

Dear whomever, Are you Mike from London, Ontario, Canada? Myself and many others wish to hear from you. Someone posted a statement that they now test negative using the antibodies test for hepatitis C as stated here in this forum:

YEA 06/26/2012: "Got the best news I could ever ask for today, my bloodwork results are in and I no longer have any Hep C antibodies in my blood and my liver function levels are all normal. Now this is after failing conventional therapies back in 2008 and almost losing all hope of ever clearing this dreaded virus. I feel fantastic and I have to admit that BHT absolutely cures Hep C type 1a geno types when all else fails and it does it for pennies.

Anybody that comes across this post, you owe it to yourself to try this wonderful substance that has given me and so many others back our lives after thinking all was lost!! BHT works!! Thank you once again Oscar for saving me and many others by sharing BHT therapy with the masses. Cheers! "

I think it is you Mike because of this earlier statement by you:

YEA 05/27/2012: Twodragunns from London, Ontario, Canada replies: "I've been doing 2 x 250 mg daily of BHT with a splash of water on an empty stomach since Feb 1, 2012 and after 1 month all my symptoms of chronic Hep C had completely disappeared. I've just ordered 3 x 350 mg bottles from Vitamin Research Products and plan to up my dosage to 2 x 350 a day as soon as I recieve my BHT order.

I can't believe how good I feel these days and I have to thank Oscar for sharing this invaluable information with everybody that will listen and I'm sure BHT is the answer for many. I failed tx with Ribiviron daily and Peginterferon 1 injection per week back in 2008 and was a non responder after 4 months. I have genotype 1a which is very resistant to conventional therapies and had all the classic symtoms, like brain fog, joint aches and low energy, but after 4 weeks of BHT, "I feel like kid again".

I just had a blood test (5 vials taken) and they're measuring my viral load as well as all the other measures they do. I will post the results in late June after I see my MD and get the results. To all the na sayers and crap talkers that give Oscar a hard time about the validity of this treatment, "get a life and stop with the B. S. Posts that are accusing Oscar of spreading false information about this very effective treatment". I can tell it's working Oscar because all my symptoms disappeared and it's been 4 months now and I feel great!! I'm out golfing everyday (which I thought I'd never get to do again) and I'm playing very well!

Thanks again to Oscar from the bottom of my big old heart for discovering and sharing with us all this treatment that seems to be helping very many folks that have either failed conventional tx or not wanted to do this because of the catastrophic side effects. I'm going to keep posting here about my recovery from this chronic disorder and provide my medical test results as well.

kindest regards, Mike from London, Ontario, Canada"

Please know it is VERY important to many people because they wish to know more details as to how you achieved these astounding results. You are the ONLY person other than myself [ Oscar ], who has achieved a true cure for hepatitis C. To have gone from being very sick with hepatitis C to now test NEGATIVE using the HCV antibodies test. Please respond. You have life saving information to share with those infected with this awful disease.

There is the BHT CURES group I hope you will join AFTER sharing a more detailed report here at the EARTH CLINIC. I am Oscar and very much hope you will join this group. Please do this for me Mike, here:

Dear Alicia form Syracuse Utah, Start out with no more than 350mg of BHT per day taken with water on an empty stomach. When you first get up in the morning is a good time or just before going to bed. You can always take less of the BHT if any side effects occur. If and only if you tolerate that one dose per day well, it may help to take two capsules per day. You only weigh 135 pounds so that one 350mg capsule per day may very well be all that is required. There are a growing number of hepatitis C type 1a infectees who are non-responders to the conventional treatments reporting success with the BHT treatments. Eating a healthy low fat diet is helpful. So is doing doing an adequate amount of exercise and drinking good quality water in adequte amounts... Oscar

EC: From Google translate: Oscar thank you very much for your response to my question, but how long wait before eating, and how long to wait after eating to make bht haver, I ask you because you have much experience in this case, and if it is true that it is best taken with a glass of grape juice. Grapefrui juice would have any interference with the BHT.

Dear Alicia from Syracuse, Utah: Wait one hour after taking the BHT before eating food. The BHT seems to work best with water, but a fruit juice is also OK if you have stomach discomfort with the water. The fruit juice will not screw up the process and may help because when BHT is metabolized it is combined with a glucose molecule and fruit juice does contain some glucose.

It is also important to being doing some exercise. Eating a healthy diet is also important. Avoid eating too much fatty foods. Just a simple healthy diet along with staying physically active is very helpful. Going for walks or riding a bicycle. Things like that. Just simple good health practices are very helpful for anyone trying to maintain good health. The BHT is very effective for many people treating viral hepatitis infections. But these good health practices are also very important. You do NOT have to overdue this exercise. Just make sure you do some exercise on a regular basis and eat a healthy diet....Oscar

This is great news Alicia. I have been worried about you. And hoped you had read my updates about how best to use BHT. It seems clear to me that you have. There is one very important correction regarding your update: You must have been taking 1,000mcg of vitamin B12 and NOT 1,000mg of vitamin B12. Please all know that 1mg = 1,000mcg. 1,000mcg [ micrograms ] is the recommended dosage of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is not sold in 1,000mg dosages. It is sold in 1,000mcg dosages. An easy mistake to make when reporting into this forum. But it is important that I correct this error.

Alicia, it is great to hear from you. I have been worried about you. Thank you very much for this update....Oscar

Dear Oscar, I am on my 3rd day of the BHT treatment for my Hep C. The first day I took the 325mg capsule I became tired feeling that same day within a few hours which I have not been experiencing (tiredness before taking the BHT). I however had a very restful and sound sleep. I have already started the dosage twice a day since I weigh 240lbs. I am still rather tired feeling during the day however do sleep soundly. I have experience some bloating as well. Are these symptoms you have ever experienced? Appreciate all of your advice and everyone else for that matter. Thanks! ...Dave

Dear Dave from Florence SC, Yes I have experienced those symptums: Bloating of my abdomen and tiredness at times. Why not take the BHT at night just before you go to bed.

I have been taking 350mg per day of BHT per day and sometimes more for over 15 years. It is strange because sometimes BHT acts as a stimulant also. I very much think drinking an adequate amount of good quality water is helpful and at least as importantly some adequate exercise will go a long ways in overcoming these conditions.

It is always when I am not physically active that I experience the symptoms you described. If I am out there moving around [ just going for short hikes ] a few times a day I do not have these problems. Look, being sick with HCV tends to depress many if not most people. I have always been a depressed person since I was severly injured [ PTSD ]. Before I ever took any BHT. I no longer have hepatitis C or B for that matter. But I still do get depressed.

So take the BHT at night if it makes you tired and make yourself do some exercise even if you do NOT feel like doing so. I also work out with some dumbells somewhat on most days. This exercising is very impotant with or without BHT. You need to keep things moving inside yourself for proper digestion to occur. Also, avoid fatty foods. Fatty foods are very hard to digest and require so called bile salts that are produced in the liver to digest so eating fatty foods very much stresses the liver. BHT can do a lot but any person needs to eat a healthy diet and exercise to remain healthy.

So for you for now: Take the BHT at night. Eat a low fat healthy diet and do some exercise. Get right back to this forum if that does NOT resolve these symptums. Also join the BHT CURES group because I am not always checking in here. To do so go here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BHTcures/

Give my suggestions a try and lets see if they work or not. If I am not available at that BHT CURES group other people using the treatment are....Oscar

This is my first post as I found this website about one month ago. I have read through all the posts on BHT and have decided to give it a try.

I will give a little history as I plan on commenting on my treatment with BHT as necessary

I was diagnosed with Hep C back in 1999, type 1A, I think I contracted the virus from blood transfusions in 1984 as a result of an auto accident.

I have never had any treatment as of yet. My first test back in 1999 resulted in a viral load of about 2 million and as of this past April 2012 is now over 21 million. My liver function tests are slightly elevated but nothing to be overly concerned about. My latest ultrasound (also April 2012) was normal.

However, I am usually exhausted by mid afternoon.

I took my first 350mg dose this morning on an empty stomach as suggested and have taken 9,000mg of Vit C over the past 2 months, which I have not decided if I will continue to take while on the BHT. Since taking the Vit C I have noticed an improvment in my energy levels.

I will post further updates as my condition changes, dosages change etc....

thanks for all the good information on this site.

Hello Oscar, I've had Hep C for at least 15 years and did the pegasis and Rib treatment in 2000 to no good result. I have cirrosis now and got to do something. I really appreciate you'all taking your time to report your results and findings. I ordered the BHT at 350mg. per capsule and plan to get going on it asap (I have to do something). I will faithfully tell all about my results especially since you were good enough to share and enlighten. I've been researching obviously and read the pros and cons however this finding is a bit scary.

Please read the following: A Kuwait study found no evidence of carcinogenity but also that BHT isn't much fun for the liver: "BHT resulted in a significant increase in liver weight. The liver cells presented gradual vacuolization, cytoplasmic disintegration, "moth-eaten" appearance, ballooning degeneration, hepatocellular necrosis. " A Swedish study also found that BHT damages the liver. Oscar what is your opinion of this? Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave... There are many differing and contradctory reports on the efficacy and safety of BHT wrt usage and dosage. You have quoted just two studies on the suspected delterious effects of BHT. Here is another research report on BHT, which is a complete review of all the research evidence up to 1999 on BHT and BHA:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10541460

So which research do you believe?

The next level of validation would seem to be just to go and read actual testimonials of people who have cured themselves or have had good outcomes from using BHT in small quantities on a daily basis against Hep C. EC is jam packed with successful testimonials of people using BHT. However, not everyone can resolve their Hep C using BHT. But it is definitely worth a try.

If you would rather not use the BHT protocol, other protocols you can investigate, which have few side effects, are Ted from Bangkok's remedy for Hep C shown here:

Ted's Hep C Remedy

Ted's remedy for Hep C just uses L-Lysine, aspirin and Vitamin C.

Another simple protocol with few side-effects -- the Berkson Triple Anti-Oxidant Protocol -- is also very effective against the Hep C virus. Type "Berkson Hepatitis C" in Google Search to read all about it. Meanwhile here is Dr Berkson actually talking about his protocol for Hep C, Cirrhosis, liver cancer and pancreatic cancer in an interview:

Here is some research results on the Berkson Protocol:

Treatment of Chronic Hep C virus via Anti-Oxidants: Results of Phase 1 clinical trial

A Conservative Triple Anti-Oxidant approach to the Treatment of Hep C

Dr Berkson simply uses Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALA), Milk Thistle, Selenium and N-Acetyl Cysteine(NAC) as the basic oral therapy with additional B complex and Vitamin C support. And when he adds Low Dose Naltrexone(LDN) to this therapy he has obtained succesful cancer remissions in patients with pancreatic and liver cancer as well (which are incurable using standard chemo techniques). For more serious cases, Dr Berkson also recommends taking ALA by IV for certain periods in his protocol to improve outcomes. His clinic is based in New Mexico.

Dear Dave from Florenece SC, Well, I understand your concerns about BHT. A very many toxicology studies have been done with BHT. At very large dosages liver abnormalities are noted. Here is the NOEL [ no-observed-effects-level ] statement that is the conclusion of a Canadian health organization that looked at hundreds of the different toxicology studies that have been done. I need to mention that the ADI [ acceptable daily intake ] is 1/100th of that NOEL and is defined as such. Here is that NOEL statement and you can see that BHT`s effect on the liver is specifically referred to:

In view of the probable involvement of hepatic enzyme induction in the development of the hepatocellular damage associated with repeated doses of BHT, the Committee concluded that, in this case, enzyme induction was the most sensitive index of effects on the liver. A well-defined threshold was demonstrated at 100 mg/kg bw/day in the long-term study reviewed for the first time at this meeting, giving a NOEL of 25 mg/kg bw/day. Effects observed in the reproduction segments of the in utero/lifetime exposure studies were also taken into account in the derivation of this NOEL. The Committee used a safety factor of 100 to allocate an ADI of 0-0.3 mg/kg bw for BHT.

This statement is section 4. EVALUATION and is located at the end of this report just before the long list of referenced studies. Here is a link to this very long and detailed toxicology report:

http://www.inchem.org/documents/jecfa/jecmono/v35je02.htm

Also, there is this PHYSIOLOGICAL REVIEWS article that discusses different anti-oxidants and the mice that had BHT included in their diets over their entire lifetimes lived on average 22% to 31% longer than the mice that did not have BHT included in their diets.

From that table you can link to the FULL TEXT of that article to learn what that is all about. Those are the two most informative reports about BHT that I am aware of.

Having said all that some people do report some adverse reactions to BHT including: an undesirable nervous reaction similar to drinking too much coffee. Some stomach discomfort. Dizziness. Most people have no reaction or very mild side effects if any. I do suggest starting out with no more than one 350mg of BHT per day for a few days. And if any side effects are felt to lower the dosage. When and if you are comfortable with that, you may wish to try two seperate dosages per day or every other day. You have to find out what you are comfortable with as far as dosage goes if you choose to give the BHT a try. Also, the BHT treatment seems to work best when NOT mixed with other alternative treatments and this includes milk thistle and its extracts. Now I made the effort to address your concerns as best I can. If you do choose to give the BHT a try I do ask you to report your results here in this EARTH CLINIC forum.

And there is this BHT CURES group you may wish to join to be in touch with other people using the BHT treatment here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BHTcures/

Hi Oscar! Dave from Florence SC here! Thanks for the reply. Your right there are many different studies with different results. As I stated I have ordered the 350mg. Caps. From the same supplier you said you traded with. Still waiting on those and look forward to getting going. I am taking heed to your information that the BHT works better by itself besides other treatment. I have been using the milk thistle and 2 Chinese Herbal supplements: Hepatoplex two: "to invigorate the blood and clear damp heat"; Clear Heat: "Clean heat toxin". Must be Chinese terms. I also got some extra virgin olive oil to take after an hour of taking the BHT to protect my nerve sheathing per your opinion. All of these suggestions and experiences shared by all are very much appreciated. As soon as I get the BHT I will start and report my status. Sure hope and pray it cures me.

Oscar, after a bit of BHT treatment do you think in your opinion it would be productive to use the chinese herbs? Is there any vitamins or supplements that would enhance the BHT performance? Like the olive oil is there any other protective measures you have found to safeguard other organs or body funtions? Is the correct or best time to use the ev olive oil an hour after taking the bht or just a minimum time period not to be counter productive in the bht therapy? Thanks again...Dave

Dear Dave from Florence SC, My advice for what it is worth is: BHT works best by itself and not mixed with other supplements. This opinion of mine is based on my use of BHT to treat hepatitis C, AND the feedback available from those who have had success using the BHT treatment.

I spent a long time looking into the different metabolites of BHT. It is these metabolites of BHT that enter the bloodstream. These metabolites are altered molecules of BHT and are no longer BHT. These different metabolites do maintain the basic structure of BHT. A six carbon ring with those two tert-buty groups. Some oxygen atoms are added either at one or more of those tertiary hydrogen atoms or at the methyl group or both of those events.

Those toxicology reports I have reffered to in some of my postings discuss all this. The BHT has to be altered in such ways as to make it SOMEWHAT water soluble. These reports discuss routes of metabolism. Oxygen atoms are added in a number of different ways to the BHT molecule to make it water soluble. The carboxyl group is one of the groups most often discussed. The carboxyl group is acidic and reactive. It can and will chemically combine with such compounds as silymarin [ a major component of milk thistle ] because silymarin possesses a carbonyl group. Silymarin is about 5 times larger than than a BHT molecule. This combined BHT/silymarin molecule is far too large to penetrate those lipid containing viral coatings and thereby renders the BHT metabolites ineffective. The BHT no longer works as an antiviral. Those BHT metabolites need to seek out [ due to their relatively lipophyllic nature ] and then penetrate those viral coatings. And when embedded in those viral coatings move about very rapidly because of the different oxygen atoms of the different metabolites always seeking but never acheiving permanent HYDROGEN BONDS. It is a straight forward means of destroying these viral coatings. Once the viral coatings are gone the foreign proteins that make up the core of these viruses are readily attacked by the bodie`s defense mechanisms. White blood cells and such. A beautiful, simple means of destroying these viruses. Not only much safer than conventional treatments but actually good for you because of BHT`s free radical scavaging properties if taken in proper dosages.

I am giving you one example of what I am talking about. I have NO idea of what the different compounds are that make up all these different teas are. Does anyone? And that is why I am convinced: The best way to take BHT is by itself, alone. Not only at the time of ingestion, but alone. Not mixed with other supplemental treatments. Just eat a healthy diet. An occassional vitamin C and vitamin B-complex pill does not seem to screw up the process and may be helpful. I really do NOT know with any certainty about even those vitamins.

Now some exercise is also important. You need to keep things moving inside you. It is also helpful to drink enough good quality water to maintain healthy hydration. I use distilled water. Those are my recommenations....Oscar

Thanks Oscar for responding concerning the suplements and BHT consumption. Thats good enough for me. I appreciate learning from others experience. You had mentioned in a past post that the ev olive oil or ev coconut oil could be taken after an hour of the BHT to help protect the sheathing of nerves. Dear Dave from Florence, what I mean about olive oil is that you need to wait AT LEAST one hour after taking the BHT to allow for maximum absoption of the BHT. I do think idealy this olive oil should be taken either with a meal or shortly after a meal. Just make sure you allow for AT LEAST one hour to go by before taking /using the olive oil. It could be two, three, four hours later. This use of olive oil is to ensure an adequate source of good quality lipids most especially for lean or thin people....Oscar

Jumping jacks help also. I did some exercise this morning and the bloating went away in about one hour. If this exercising does not help you may need to lower the dosage of BHT you are taking. You can open those capsules up easily and tap out some of it`s contents and push the capsule back together or just pop the opened capsule in your mouth. The BHT has very little taste. Opened or closed just wash the contents down with a gulp of water.

For some people the BHT takes some getting used to at first. But this exercise is important anyway. People need adequate exercise to maintain good health. Lack of exercise very much effects digestion in an undesirable way with or without BHT. Because you are having problems I do think it would be helpful for you to join the BHT CURES group. That way there are other people available for you to help you with any issues that come up. You can join that group here: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BHTcures/

Now please do report back into the EARTH CLINIC to let this forum know whether or not exercising resolves this bloating issue. Sincerely, ...Oscar

What a wonderful website. I have just had 24 hours of hell reading about all of the side effects of HCV treatment. I contracted HCV in 1996 and then was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in 1998, HCV had to take a back seat while I concentrated on three surgical operations, radioactive iodine therapy and then getting my life back on track. Now the HCV has come back to haunt me and I have been advised I have cirrhosis and they are recommending I start a 48 week treatment. This is currently not an option due to commitments. Looking at all of the side effects I decided there must be an alternative which is when I found this website. Anyway I just wanted to say I have asked my local health store (Melbourne, Australia) to source some BHT. They did give me a strange look but said they would see what they could do. Fingers crossed.... As soon as I have sourced it I will obtain a copy of my results from my Doctor, upload them here and start what sounds like the perfect treatment/solution/cure. Thank you for this extremely informative information. I already feel an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Here goes.... Jay

Went to the doctor today, the numbers were not what I precieved but they were none the less great. As I stated before the venerial warts I had fo 30 or 40 years are totally gone and that was a month after I took the bht. Anyway.. To the point... The numbers were as the nurse told me however the decimal point was not there so my viral load went from 2110000 to 837930 so more then half.. I have been taking two caps of bht 180 mg plus Ascorbyl Palimate, a fat soluble form of vitamine C, once a day. I ate as usual, drink coffee, and eat sweets... Lots of sweets. And drink much milk, in addition I am on a high dose of methadone and have been for decades. I take no other vitamins.

I will not post again unless the the viral load reaches non detectable levels.

My original post where I said the c was totally gone was supposition that the warts were gone... they worked on the same premise, and a friend went from 6 mil VL to non detectable. Using bht. So I knew it worked but was a bit over zealous. But down by half ain't chopped liver!

All in all, I'll keep on BHT, perhaps take a few other things W/ BHT

I do not know if my last post posted this is a hard site to minipulate. In any event. I just got my numbers from my Doctors nurse whom I will see in two days. One year ago my viral load was 2110000, I took a test a month ago the lab notifies my Doctor I need to go and get a retest because something happened and they did not have enough plazma to re test, so last week I retested. The new numbers I got from my Doctors nurse today are: 837.930 .. I think that means my viral load is almost non detectable but I do not know for sure until I go friday and ask my Doctor what the numbers mean.

My email is connected anyone wishing to verify with me, be my guest.

BHT works, I hear many skeptics ask for proof, well I am that proof feel free to contact me or post your email and I will contact you. So much being stolen, pharmchem hushing this with doctors and healthcare people. Some ask what are you doing to your body taking BHT. Well, I'll ask them what is interferon and these new drugs doing?. BHT no side effects, zero, zip, nada. 2 caps a day with a glass of water.

Hello to all, I started doing 2x250 mg caplets of BHT Feb 1, 2012 and have absolutely no side effects and all my Hep C symptoms have completely disappeared!! I'm so happy and feeling fabulous and I'm going for my 1st blood work very shortly. I discovered Oscar's posts on the internet and I feel blessed to have been able to find this great site and Oscar in what seems like "just in time". I was diagnosed with Genotype 1A back in 99 and failed conventional therapy in 4 short months, so I had to do something about this and started searching for a miracle and I finally found it in BHT. I'm so sure that my vl will be very low because every symtom that plagued me for years, tiredness, aching joints, brain fog and others are completely gone!! This is a solid indicator that this dreaded condition is improving very much.

When I get my blood work back I'll post the results ..... So it's been almost 3 1/2 months since I started this treatment and I've been taking pure liquid Sylimarin (Milk Thistle) for inflammation, Sodium Bicarbinate, Apple Cider, Vinegar for my bodies ph rise, and drinking 10-12 oz of Grapefruit juice for the Nangarin which I've learned also helps to penetrate the Lipid Envelope of Hep C. Will report back withing 4-6 weeks with results and thanks to all BHT warriors who are kind enough to share their success stories with us all.

I have seen great success with colloidal silver over the years in dealing with viral infections, even body wide. I am wondering if silver might help with Hep B or C. In my own experience I used the silver two or three times daily, a tablespoon at a time... For months to give the silver time to work. But not on a Hep infection. I'd love to hear if viral load droped with the use of silver. Just a suggestion.

I have begun takinf 350mg, 2 times per day of BHT for hepatits C..

I notice that when I do take it. my eyes become red and I'm tired for the day..

If I take it at night, I take the entire 700mg with 16 oz of H20.. In the morning. I'm very tired for the first few hours upon waking even with 8 hrs of sleep.. After that time I'm okay. But my eyes are periodically red thru out the day.. Could I be allergic to this antioxidant? I hear that it should not have side effects at this dose.. I even took it at 350mg per day and get the same red eyes and tired feeling.. Any clues? should I be supplementing with Vit C or B? does this antioxidant deplete certain nutirent stores?

Dear A. From Boston, As I have suggested many times now: If and/or when adverse effects are experienced with these BHT treatments LOWER the dosage of BHT. I have also suggested taking BHT in dosages of no more than 350mg at any one time. That these dosages should be taken seperately. I also have found good reasons why BHT should be taken with a fruit juice as opposed to water. Grape juice is a good one as is cranberry juice. This is because glucose is a an important ingrediant involved in the metabolism of BHT as discussed in the different toxicology reports.

So lower your dosage, at least for now. Always split the dose if taking more than 350mg per day. And take the BHT with some fruit juice such as grape juice or cranberry juice. Try doing that and let this forum know if that resolves any problems you are having with the BHT treatments. Some better answers are hopefully becoming apparent for those trying the BHT treatment.

I have been taking 1 350 cap. twice a day for a little less than 100 days with no side effects. As I have posted before I am sure I got Hep C at the same time I got Hep B in 1976!

Hello Javena from Pakistan. Weight, fat content of a person`s body, and age are all factors to consider when trying to come up with the right dose of BHT. Generally: The more a person weighs and the higher fat content of that weight the more BHT a person requires. And the people 50 or more years old tend to have more of a problem tolerating BHT.

Many people who weigh around 175 pounds do very well on one dose of 250mg of BHT taken twice a day. In the morning and at night. BHT should be taken on an empty stomach with a gulp of water.

People who weigh 125 pounds or less often do best with one dose only of 250mg of BHT per day. People who weigh 200 pounds or more often do well with one 350mg of BHT taken twice a day. These are rough guidelines only. Each person has to find a dose they are comfortable with.

Also we recently had a man who weighs 180 pounds and has the HCV type 1a infection. He used only one 250mg capsule of BHT per day and reduced his viral load from 10 million to 1 million in 3 short weeks

I recommend anyone first starting the BHT treatment use no more than one 250mg capsule of BHT per day for the first week. If adverse effects are experienced lower the amount of BHT used....Oscar

Quick follow up to Javena from Pakistan: The BHT treatment does NOT work well with other treatments. Moderate use of the B vitamins and vitamin C are OK to use. Also, that nose bleeding is likely caused by low blood platelets. Avoid using large amounts of herbs and spices. Turmeric should be avoided by people with low blood platelets. The BHT treatment really does work best if you keep it simple. Also, boil any water you drink to sterilize it....Oscar

I dosed myself with 200mg to 300mg per day with water on an empty stomach, in the morning before breakfast. I went from a definite positive using the hep-C RNA test to a definite negative using this same test in about 1 month and have never had any problem with hepatitis-C ever again. I continued to take it and still do as a prophylactic for a host of viral diseases I don`t want to get. What BHT can treat it can prevent. I never had any problem with any side effects. I cannot say enough about this remarkable compound. It works and fast. BHT is an acronym for butylated hydroxytoluene.

If you want to research it the information is out there on the web. The people discovered BHT`s ability to treat viruses with lipid containing coatings: Person, Snipes, Keith, and Cupp. Their original article appeared in the Journal: SCIENCE volume 188 in 1975. There's my answer to treating hepatitis-C. It is worth mentioning that the AID`s virus has a similar structure, lipid containing envelope.... Oscar

Dear Oscar from Syracuse, New York,

Thanks for your posting on BHT. I have been treating hcv since 2002. I started with interferon injection which gave me a serious side effect. Since then, I have tried a lot of other products without any luck. The test I had in March 2011 showed that the viral count had increased to 278,000 IU. The hcv has developed resistance to a lot of treatments.

When I read your posting two days ago, I jumped at it and, I wish to try it. But my concern is the fear that the hcv might be resistance to BHT too. My questions: Did you swallow the capsule or did you open the capsule and pour the powder into the water and drank it? Did you drink anything with it? Some websites suggest that it could be taken with lysine and vit. C. What do you advise? I want to take it exactly as you took yours, may be I could also have the same result you had. Is there any food I should avoid? After taking the BHT, how many hours lapsed before taking your breakfast? Could you please reply me quickly? I AM BROKEN HEARTED BECAUSE OF HCV. Thanks.

I took 200mg capsules of BHT in the morning on an empty stomach with water. I did not mix it with anything else. My blood tested negative for hepatitis C in about 3 weeks and my liver funtion tests BACK TO were normal. I keep taking BHT to keep my blood free of that virus and the others it has been shown to be effective against. It is a proven life extender in mice dosed with BHT by as much as 45% on average. It is usually more like 31% in the many tests that have been done. This is for normal, undiseased mice and rats. There was an extensive article published in PHYSIOLOGICAL REVIEWS about that....Oscar

I have read your positive views but also negative views on another website... (copied below)... to be honest I'm confused.

Directions:

Precautions:
Because of conflicting results, no one really knows what the cancer risk - if any - is from BHT. The possibility should not be ignored; anyone who uses BHT or any synthetic chemical should consider there may be consequences yet unknown from the use of non-naturally occuring chemicals.

  • Most BHT users recommend that no one should take more than 2gm per day, some saying 1gm is the limit. It should probably also not be taken on an empty stomach.

  • Avoid use in hepatitis or other liver problems.

  • BHT is fat-soluble, so thin people may need less. Furthermore, persons on low-fat diets may be more susceptible to side-effects.

  • BHT can interfere with blood clotting, so it might be a special risk for persons with hemophilia or other clotting problems.

  • Doses of BHT should start small and gradually increase. It is probably not harmful to stop abruptly, however, because BHT stays in the body for several weeks.

  • A few people are chemically sensitive to BHT.

  • Alcohol should be avoided for at least several hours after taking BHT. Alcohol may have a stronger effect than usual, so be especially careful about driving.

  • BHT can interact with other drugs. It can either increase or decrease their effects

  • Can anyone provide help?

Dear Graham, You brought up a number of concerns about BHT. I will do what I can to address them. One of the concerns you brought up is that BHT is an unnatural compound. This was proven to be FALSE in 2008. BHT occurs naturally in at least some phytoplankton. You can read about that here: http://www.life-enhancement.com/article_template.asp?ID=2168

Now the BHT that is available is produced synthetically, BUT, there is NO difference in synthetically produced BHT and that which occurs naturally. A known compound is a known compound. The molecular structure is EXACTLY the same.

I am aware of all these dire warnings about people with liver disease using BHT. And it is a shame that this is so in my opinion. After all, the prescibable medications are very far from being safe or effective for most people. They are NOT effective for most peple, they only work for about 45% of the people so treated and have very negative SIDE EFFECTS for MOST people so treated. Also, of that 45% that they work for MOST of them relapse in a few years. These prescribable treatments are a careful balancing act of getting enough of these highly toxic medications to destroy enough of the virus to show some improvement without the negative impacts destroying a persons health. Conditions including severe anemia and kidney failure.

The World Health Organization has been investigating the toxicity of BHT for a long time now. Near the end of one of their lengthy reports they state that: BHT is NON-TOXIC to the liver in daily doses of 25mg per kilogram of body weight. A 110 pound person weighs 50 kilograms. 25mg x 50 = 1, 250mg. The dosages I have discussed are 200mg daily for a 180 pound person. I am that 180 pound person I base that dosage on. That is the dosage I used to very effedtively treat my hepatitis-C infection.

As to BHT being a cancer promoter: In the many mice and rat studies it takes massive daily dosages to produce such results, very far beyond the dosages I have discussed.

Dr. Denham Harman`s studies, along with many others indicate that BHT in fact shows BHT to be a cancer preventer in the dosages I have discussed. In fact, Dr. Harman`s critics pointed out that the mice he was dosing had a propensity for getting cancer and that ALL he was doing was preventing these mice from getting cancer and that accounted for their AVERAGE LIFESPAN INCREASE of up to 50%. Well, if his critics are correct about that, I find THAT very significant. Wild mice, those not bred for SHORT LIFESPANS, tolerate even massive dosing of BHT remarkably well.

I have looked at a very many of these mice and rat studies. Some of which seem to be DETERMINED to show BHT as a cancer promoter. In some of these studies, when they did not get the results they desired [ to prove that BHT was a cancer promoter ] they went so far as to mix it with corn oil and inject it into the mice. Corn oil alone, by itself, if injected leads to organ failure as a Californian beautician found out. Read about that here: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-01-19-mazola_x.htm

A very many of these so called studies mix BHT with corn oil and inject it to PROVE BHT is bad for you. So if you mix BHT with corn oil and inject it, this mixture leads to organ failure. BUT, so does injecting corn oil alone, by itself.

These are the lengths so called scientists have gone to, to prove BHT is bad for you. Make what you will of all that.

I do suggest people choosing to give BHT therapy a TASTE TEST. By this I mean: open up a BHT capsule, lick your finger, daub it on the BHT crystals and lick your finger to test for sensitivity. Then gradually build up the amount you ingest as a precaution for BHT sensitivity. A large majority of people have no adverse effects with BHT at that 200mg daily dose for a 180 pound person I have discussed. I wish well and to be well, ...Oscar

I have started taking the BHT. I am up to day 6. The initial effect was a gastrointestinal responce. Loose, frequent, bowel motions, for about 3 days.

I have Hep C and have been working on myself for the past 12 months. No alcohol, raw food for the first 6 months and milk thistle daily.

My liver enzymes all returned to a normal range. What I do experience is a feeling of a lump in my throat when I have eaten something that I think is harded for my liver to process.

I lost this feeling with the initial introduction of the BHT, it seems to have returned now.

I will continue taking 300mg/day on an empty stomach for 1 month and then go and have viral load and enzyme levels tested.

You stated your liver enzymes are normal after using the BHT treatment. What were they before you started using BHT. Do not get discouraged with some minor discomfort. Those liver funtion test results are very important and indicate the treatment is working. BHT can take some getting used to for some people. Compared to the alternatives some stomach discomfort is minor. You can always decrease the dosage if this trouble persists or gets worse. BHT taken on an empty stomach only requires small dosages of BHT. Please keep posting about how this treatment is effecting you. I think you are getting well because the liver function tests have returned to normal. THOSE ARE the MOST important initial results to be looked for. This treatment does take a few weeks for most people. Give it some time and DO decrease the dosage if you feel it is necessary. There is no big hurry with this treatment. You want a SAFE dosage, NOT more. Your liver will recover if testable improvement is shown....Oscar

    Better But With Side Effects

    Hi,

Thanks to some of the testimonials here. As a result I have tried ACV and sodium bicarbonate for GERD and it is working very well. I have been mixing them together and it makes quite a pleasant drink - they cancel out each other's bitterness and saltiness.

I have also been trying BHT which I find to be very powerful. The first day, I took three 200 g capsules throughout a 12 hour period, monitoring myself and did not feel any side effects.

However that night I woke up at 1 am totally wired as if I had drunk twenty cups of coffee! It was a very unpleasant experience and I could feel BHT in my brain, adrenals and especially in my liver, attacking the virus. (Not unlike the sensation of having a needle drilled through the liver. )

So I decided to wait several days before taking it again, until I was sleeping soundly again.

I took one again two days ago and again woke up feeling 'wired'. This stuff must stay in your system a while because I did not take any yesterday and noticed last night the same symptoms - acute 'drilling' sensation in the frontal lobe of the liver, sleeplessness and restlessness, brain and adrenal stimulation.

So obviously I do have some concerns about BHT, perhaps I am a little more sensitive to it than the average, yet it certainly appears to be attacking the hep c virus. I have not done a blood test yet, maybe in a couple of months.

I have also been using Orizon's high PH (13) water, and after doing a course of a couple of months earlier this year, got my liver enzyme levels down to almost normal. I have heard that some people have actually killed the Hep C virus with it, but no concrete testimonial.

Thanks to everyone for your sharings.

Hello Monty, From what you said: It seems to me you are taking too much BHT. Many people seem to be able to tolerate the dosage [ 600mg per day ] you discussed. In my opinion that is too much, at least for you. There is no need to take such a large dosage. Thin and or lean people are more prone, more sensitive to BHT for one thing.

Whether you are thin or lean does not matter. You are experiencing undesired side effects. If you wish to continue BHT therapy you need to lower that dosage. I suggest you take only one of those 200mg capsules per day. That is the dosage I used to successfully treat my hepatitis C infection when I had a failing liver. I weighed 180 pounds at that time.

Along with BHT`s antiviral properties, it is a very powerful antioxidant. If taken with water only much less BHT is required to achieve the desired results. The goal is to find out what is a safe dosage for each person. NOT to see how much you can tolerate. The stimulative reaction you experienced is not all that unusual and is discussed in the literature.

The way I see it is that even small dosages such as 200mg per day or LESS for many people is the right dosage. TOO much is too much. Hepatitis C is an infection that takes many years to cause liver failure. There is no big hurry with this treatment. I have always encouraged people to find a dosage they are comfortable with. I have never taken more than 350mg per day on a regular basis. Find out if you tolerate those 200mg doses a day well or not. If not take LESS....Oscar

A number of forum members have stated they are trying the BHT treatment for hepatitis C. I am asking all of you to please keep the forum updated with whatever the results have been. Most especially liver funtion tests and viral load counts.

There is no one else OUT THERE discussing this treatment. Your feedback is very important. About 150 million people worldwide are infected with this sometimes deadly infection. If this BHT works as good as it did for me, Gina, January, and fatcha brute for others also, the WORLD needs to hear from you. If it does not we need to know that also. There are issues surrouding effective dosages, methods of administration, and side effects that need to be addressed.

Your feedback is required to answer these questions. One of the side effects that have come up in this forum is that for some people BHT acts as a stimulant. I have suggested they take smaller dosages if they wish to continue this treatment. I will also suggest they include 2 tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil at least one hour AFTER taking the BHT on an empty stomach with water. BHT acummulates in fat cells and lipids. All nerve cells are sheathed by a form of lipids. BHT interacts with lipids, that is how it destroys lipid enveloped viruses including the hepatitis C virus. Lean people seem to be especially sensitive to BHT. By taking that olive or coconut oil you will ensure that your neurons maintain adequate sheathing. It may take more than two tablespoons of olive or coconut oil for some people.

So if you are trying this BHT treatment get back to this forum with your results....Oscar

To Oscar from Syracuse, I have been taking bht for a few week now hoping it works. I have had hep c for over 30 years and have been on interferon twice, last time was 96 weeks and I still have hep c and it is doing damage, so thanks for updating your results with bht. At the end of November, I will do a liver screen and see what happens . Mike

Hello Oscar and thanks for taking time out to recommend BHT. I am 51 and have had Hep C for years have done the interferon and rib. treatment and the virus came back within a month. I have liver damage I am 6'1" and around 200lbs and other than my liver I am in good shape. What would you recommend as treatment as in amount etc. of the BHT. Also where would you buy it? I would really love to hear back from you! I am thinking of the interferon again and it scares me to think of another year on it.

    Sincerely, CM

Dear CM from Wilmington, This is Oscar. We have had some instructive feedback in this forum and I have some from other forums also. For a person your weight, about 200 pounds, I think you should be taking at least one 350mg capsule of BHT twice a day on an empty stomach with a gulp of water to wash the capsule down. Do NOT mix the BHT with any oil at the time it is taken. Wait at least one hour for the BHT to be digested and metabolized before eating any food for best results.

Also, some people have discussed side effects including stomach discomfort and dizzyness. Most people have NO side effects. But, some do. An easy sensitivity test can be done. Open up a capsule and pour the contents on to a small dish. Lick your finger and daub it on the crystals and lick that finger. Wait an hour and see if you have any side effect. If you DO, don`t get discouraged. Some simple ramping up will resolve this issue. Simply lick 2 daubs the next day. You will get used to it in almost all cases. For most people this is not an issue. A very many people take BHT on a daily basis for conditions including any of the herpes viruses for example.

The brand I have been using for over 10 years now is that sold by: Vitamin Research Products, a trusted name in supplements and THEY have been making and selling BHT for a long time now. Once you reach that: NO VIRAL LOAD DETECTED result you still need to keep taking the BHT for at least 2 years. I still take it because it is a proven average lifespan extender and keeps you appearing younger. The reason you need to keep taking the BHT is because even when no virus is detected in your blood your liver will still be full of infected cells. Because the liver completely renews itself in about one year, if you keep your blood free of the viral particles, eventually a true cure does occur.

I never took interferon or anything other than BHT to treat my Hepatitis-C infection and I had HCV with a failing liver. Give the BHT a chance by itself. And do this for me: Report any and all liver function test results along with any viral load count tests. This BHT [ butylated hydroxytoluene ] stuff really does work. Read what fatcha brute has to say about that here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?p=6967512

Dear Michael, Good to hear from you. I want you to know that because of the feedback I have gotten in this forum and others: I think one 350mg capsule taken twice a day is the best way to go with the BHT. That is the dose that seems to work best for average size adults. Take it on an empty stomach and wait one hour before eating any food. It can be taken between meals or at night before going to sleep.

Please report back to this forum with all test results. This is important. All details help including geno type and such. People are starting to report back and the results are impressive as I expected they would be. It takes longer for some than others. From the available information dramatic improvement should be indicated within a few months. For many it is a matter of weeks, for others a few months. This is the only information I have to go by: what people who try the BHT report back with. The feedback is looking very impressive so far. Wishing you the best, ...Oscar

Oscar, I am waiting for the order I placed of BHT! You have given me hope as I have stated earlier I did the Interferon Ribaviron for a year and the virus came back within 2 months. I tried to take the treatment again and the side effects were just too much. I was thinking about doing it again as I have stage 3 cirrhosis and really need to do something. I have a couple of questions and the first is how long before I will see an increase in my energy level? And how long after starting the BHT treatment should I wait to have my blood work done again?

Dear Cm from Wilmington, This is Oscar and I will answer your questions as best I can. Please do note that because of the feedback from Dr. W and Victoria I do now believe one 350mg capsule taken TWICE a day is best for most adults. Most people tolerarate that dosage well. Some do not. If you are one of those that experience significant side effects do NOT get discouraged. Usually some simple ramping up of the dosage resolves this issue. Also, even at smaller dosages the BHT will work. It will take a bit longer is all. I had a very infected liver, to the point of substantial liver failure. I got well using only 200mg of BHT per day.

Now both Dr. W and fatcha brute were using larger dosages. Fatcha brute was using two 350mg capsules per day. Dr. W was using larger dosages initially. And Victoria was using the smaller dosage [ 200mg to 250mg per day ].

Victoria achieved impressive results in about 2 months at that dosage. Her viral load went down by two thirds of what it had been and her liver function tests returned to normal or healthy readings in about 2 months. That is an impressive improvement. So, if you can tolerate the 350mg dose taken TWICE a day, GREAT. If not, do not get discouraged. The smaller dosages work, they just take longer.

Compared to the prescibed medicines the BHT works much quicker and is much safer. In fact there is substantial evidence that BHT taken in the dosages we are discussing is in fact good for you. That PHYSIOLOGICAL REVIEWS article shows an average lifespan increase of between 22% and 31% for mice dosed with BHT for their entire lifetimes. I know of NO other compound that can claim that. NONE, period. So, I want you to stop being afraid, you are going to get through this and be truly cured of hepatitis C using the BHT. I was very sick and so was January. We both felt well within a few weeks. Our livers were functioning well again though still infected with HCV. To achieve a true cure does take at least 2 years of daily dosing with the BHT. The BHT can keep the blood free of HCV viral particles. It can NOT uninfect a living liver cell. NOTHING out there can do that. BUT, every cell that makes up a person`s liver is a new cell in about one year. So, by keeping the blood free of intact viral particles, eventually a true cure is achieved. That is why you and so many others using the interferon and ribaviron treatments relapse. This is not going to happen with the BHT if you continue taking it even after you get those: NO VIRUS DETECTED RESULTS.

This BHT has proven itself to be very effective in treating lipid enveloped viruses. Hepatitis C is very much a lipid enveloped virus. I had both hepatitis C and B. I now test negative for both those viruses using any test given including the antibodies and antigens tests. It truly is as if I had NEVER been infected. And I most definately was so infected. I had been tested and retested in 1997 and was positive. I had myself retested about a year later using the antibodies and antigens tests and still tested POSITIVE. I was retested in 2006 and now test NEGATIVE using the antibodies and antigens tests.

I am not asking you to have faith in me. I am telling you this BHT really does work because of the results of all those tests and the fact that it has worked and IS working for those others I have mentioned and linked to their statements. I do not know how long it will take for you to feel better. From the feedback I have gotten that should happen within 2 months. As far as getting tested goes: myself and others showed testable improvement in 1 month. For Dr. W it took 2 months. The same is true for Victoria. If you can get tested in one month, why not do so ? And again in another month if there is any doubt the BHT is working after the first test.

Now I want you to report whatever those test results are along with the dosage of BHT used and the genotype of HCV being treated. Do that for me. Let me also know of any side effects and I will do my best to help you. Again, most people have no side effects with the dosages I have discussed. I wish you well and to be well, ...Oscar

Good hearing from you CM from Wilmington, This BHT really does work, not just sort of, as a treatment for hepatitis C. It may take longer for some than others, but it works. From the feedback I have been getting: for some it is a matter of a few weeks, and for some a few months. But people are reporting an eventual NO VIRUS DETECTED test result.

I need to keep repeating myself about this: That NO VIRUS DETECTED result does NOT mean you are cured of hepatitis C. It means there was no virus detected in your blood at the time the blood was drawn and tested. Without any doubt, your liver will still be full of infected cells that will burst and infect other liver cells if you stop taking the BHT. Simply keep taking the BHT. Because the liver completely renews itself about every year, if you keep your blood free of HCV virus particles, eventually a true cure is achieved with the use of BHT. I have achieved a true CURE for myself using BHT. I don`t know how many years that took. I would think at least two years of daily dosing with BHT. But, so what? As that PHYSIOLOGICAL REVIEWS article illustrates, there is very substantial evidence that BHT is good for you. An average lifespan increase of between 22% and 31% for mice dosed with BHT over their entire lifetimes compared to mice that were not dosed with the BHT is quite something. I know I did the interferon and ribaviron for a year with horrible side effects and the virus was back within 2 months! Started the treament again and just could not take it again. So here we go folks, I am for real here and have had Hep C for years, probably got it at the same time I got Hep B which was in 1976 from needles! I would love any feedback from others.

Dear Susan, I do not know the answer to your question. From what you stated you bought it in bulk and not in capsules. There are scales available to measure pharmacutical weights as in milligrams. Why didn`t you buy the capsules that come in measured dosages ? Also, from the feedback that has been given it does seem that one 350mg capsule taken TWICE a day is best for most average sized adults. Now some few people have reported negative side effects at that dosage. Also, from the feedback given, mixing the BHT with any oil is a big mistake in the treatment of hepatitis C. I say that because I cannot help but wonder if that was why you bought the BHT in bulk.

I want to be helpful but any volume measurement I would suggest would be simply guessing at what volume would equal 200mg. Milligrams are a weight measurement. Now these scales are available and many drugstores do sell them. You would need a scale that can measure milligrams. There are many models available for less than 100 dollars. I do not own one and cannot make any recommendations about these scales. I am sorry I cannot be more helpful....Oscar

So, for you this is not a problem. This BHT really does work as a treatment for hepatitis C taken as I have discussed. You are going to get those NO VIRUS DETECTED results. I have also dicussed why you need to keep taking the BHT once such results are achieved for at least 2 years in my opinion to clear the liver of ALL infected cells. From the feedback available one 350mg capsule taken TWICE a day on an empty stomach is what works best for most average size adults.

    Hello,

I found out a couple of years ago I have hep c, I think is type 1a. I'll be picking up my previous 4 c panel results today. I also have the latest results taken 2 days ago coming. I will post the latest results. I do know the the last one I took was 1. 5 million viral load with a near normal enzyme. that one was a few months ago.

My doctors really wanted me to take the standard treatment for 48 weeks. I almost started them. I did my own research to find the they wasn't telling me the whole story about the success rate. my thought were there has to be a better way..

Then just by accident I came across this site, a real GOD send I might add. I am encouraged about the results I have read. So encouraged I have started the bht treatment. I'm not one to just jump because someone else does. I went and explained it to my doctor. He is more than happy to monitor me and document it for others if it works. He has little concerns about me taking it. I also have to take my blood pressure medicine. Also not a concern for him. The only thing he is concerned about is it may thin my blood, still not a serious concern.. He wants me back in his office a month after I start bht for more blood work. I am looking forward to that series of test.

I have high confidence that the dosage I'm taking will will show positive results. Right now I doing the ramp up in dosage as suggested here. I have also found I am going to have trouble taking it before bedtime, so that's out for now. I am taking one 200 mg once a day.

Sorry for the babbling, just thought I should tell how and what I'm doing.

    Thanx for listening..

Dear Toad from Bainer, What a joy it is for me to hear from you. Finally, I have found someone who has a doctor who is taking an interest in BHT as a treatment for hepatitis C.

Now, as you probably already know: the type 1 variants of hepatitis C have proven to be the hardest to treat. Now don`t get discouraged. Another member of this forum is infected with type 1A also and reported that after about 8 weeks of daily dosing with 200mg or 250mg per day a two thirds reduction in her viral load count and a return to normal liver function test results. Those are impressive results. The usual prescribed treatments are 48 weeks with a less than 50% success rate.

Never the less, I do feel that for best results you or anyone else should be taking more than 200mg of BHT per day if and only if you have no serious adverse reaction. I would suggest taking one 200mg of BHT TWICE a day instead of only once. For people that have no side effects: One 350mg capsule taken TWICE a day is the best dosage from the feedback available.

There is no one other than the people in this here forum that are taking a serious interest in BHT as a treatment for hepatitis C. Finding the safe and effecive dosages are up to us. It does seem to me that just what that dosage is will vary from person to person. But that we are establishing some rough guidelines regarding that. 700mg per day of BHT seems to me to be well below the established NOEL [ No-Observed-Effects-Level ] as to the toxicity of BHT as stated here:

     4. EVALUATION
In view of the probable involvement of hepatic enzyme induction
in the development of the hepatocellular damage associated with
repeated doses of BHT, the Committee concluded that, in this case,
enzyme induction was the most sensitive index of effects on the liver.
    A well-defined threshold was demonstrated at 100 mg/kg bw/day in the
long-term study reviewed for the first time at this meeting, giving a
NOEL of 25 mg/kg bw/day. Effects observed in the reproduction segments
of the in utero/lifetime exposure studies were also taken into
account in the derivation of this NOEL. The Committee used a safety
factor of 100 to allocate an ADI of 0-0. 3 mg/kg bw for BHT.

That NOEL does work out to be: 1,250mg of BHT per day for a 110 pound person. In conclusion: It does seem to me that for best results 350mg of BHT taken TWICE a day is safe and effective for most average sized adults. But also that the 200mg per day dosage IS an effective dosage that will take longer to achieve those NO VIRUS DETECTED results. Please stay in touch with this forum and keep us updated with all test results. Thank you for reporting in. Your feedback and that of others will answer the questions surrounding the use of BHT [ butylated hydroxytoluene ] as a treatment for hepatitis C. Sincerely, ...Oscar

Thanx for the reply. I might go to a larger dose after I get the next round of blood test. Maybe before then. Really just testing the waters right now to see how my body reacts to the 200 once a day. So far I don't see anything that would stop me from taking a larger dose. I still don't think I'll be taking it before bedtime. seems to disrupt my sleep.

My doc is a quite young for a doctor. He really seems interested in my results and my well being. To be best of my knowledge I have had hep c for about 35 years, unknown to me. I just found out a couple of years ago. Other than hep c, I'm in good health. I have noticed some increasing symptoms of it. brain fog, muscle cramps, joint pain the general crap for hepc.

Dear Cm from Charleston, It is good to hear from you. I have looked at the list of other things you are taking at this time. I did look into what " synthroid " is. It is identical in chemical structure to a compound naturally produced in the thyroid gland as the tradename suggests. No problem there. And I see no problem with the other things you are taking also as long as they are taken seperately from, NOT at the same time as the BHT.

Also, in my opinion: taking a high or good quality source of lipids such as salmon oil is a good idea as long as it is taken at least one hour before or after taking the BHT. Mixing BHT with ANY oil severely dilutes BHT`s desired effect as another forum member found out. Simply take it seperately, not at the same time. The importance of this is because all oils and fats are digested in way similar to the BHT. When you mix BHT with any oil you are in effect diluting it.

Also, in my opinion: When BHT is taken at the same time with other compounds, unpredictable chemical reactions take place in the stomach and duodenum between the BHT and other compounds. That is why I am so adamant about taking the BHT seperately, by itself and on an empty stomach with a gulp of water only. This method seems to be working well for others out there giving BHT a try as a treatment for hepatitis C.

And, from the feedback available at this time: Taking two capsules of BHT seems to be what works best if you have no adverse side effects with those two daily doses of BHT. One dose per day works very well, but two doses seems to work better. The dosages I am discussing are between 200mg and 350mg of BHT taken twice a day if no significant adverse effects are noted and one dose per day if adverse effects are experienced. The one dose per day simply takes a bit longer but will still work very well. Please do report any and all blood test results along with HCV genotype and such. 12/14/2011

Dear Cm from Charleston, That is a very good question: How long should I wait to be tested after starting the use of BHT as a treatment for hepatitis C? Ideally you should be tested as soon as possible to establish a base line or starting point before you start the treatment. I do understand that this is not always easy to get done. It costs money for these tests and somebody has to pay for it.

The reason for establishing this baseline is to allow for accurate tracking of your progress as in: liver function test results and viral load count test results. Without a baseline there is no way of answering those questions.

Now, I very much understand that for many people the cost of these tests is an important consideration.

For the sake of this discussion I will assume you wish to spend as little money as possible on testing. With that in mind those liver function tests are not that expensive and should be done as soon as possible. If you can afford it those viral load count tests should also be done as soon as possible. You want to know if this treatment is working or not.

From the feedback available: Many people have shown dramatic improvement in a few weeks, for others a few months. I will assume you want to see NORMAL LIVER FUNCTION and NO VIRUS detected results the first time tested. If that is your goal I would suggest being tested after 2 months of treatment with the BHT taken as I have discussed [ one 350mg capsule of BHT taken TWICE a day with a gulp of water on an empty stomach ]. This is assuming you experience no adverse side effects at that dosage. Every person is different and I can not say what is best for every person.

As a general rule: The sicker you are with hepatitis C the more carefully you have to monitor by testing what is happening with your liver. And each individual`s financial situation is an important factor. For all those reasons each person has to decide for themselves about such testing. If you can afford it, the more carefully, often this testing is done the better. I was tested once a week, but this was paid for by the VA because it was a service connected condition. My results were dramatic and I was testing: NO VIRUS DETECTED and liver fuction NORMAL in about one month using the BHT and nothing else....Oscar

I, Oscar, feel a need to make people aware of the crap I have been dealing with for many years now regarding the use of BHT to treat hepatitis C. I have been banned from at least 4 forums for discussing this topic. There are many billions of dollars at stake here if I am right about just how effective BHT is. Not for me, I have never and will never accept any money for my efforts.

I am not being paranoid. Please do carefully follow this discussion I had about this topic in another forum with this link: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-C/My-mother-has-Hep-c-and-latent-TB/show/1559469

You will find that along with all the ridicule heaped upon me this statement by shakar: " My dad started BHT. Within 2 weeks, the viral load is down 50%. I will keep everyone posted about next pcr test. " That thread or conversation was closed by the moderator. Please read the entire thread to get some notion of what I have been up against.

shakar`s statement agrees with the results being achieved by those members of this forum who are giving the BHT treatment a try as a treatment for hepatitis C.

So what you may ask. This is what: This BHT really does work as a treatment for hepatitis C. The drug companies and the " SICK CARE " industry will lose many billions of dollars if this extremely inexpensive treatment becomes common knowledge. So, this is the sort of crap I am fighting and I do need forum members trying this treatment to report in with your test results.

Do read that thread and you will begin to understand why so very few people even know about this treatment after more than 14 years of effort by me. And fatcha brute`s statement sums up the reason`s why here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?p=6967512Ã

Oscar, I do find it strange how some people are so bullheaded and become buttheads in this area. I met with the same reaction when discussing Gerson therapy which has helped people I knew. I had nurses yelling at me saying it's all bs and just to rip people off. How is it a sham when Gerson is simply saying we need to get back to real food grown without chemicals (one of his points)? It is true I had various ills and physcian told me diet doesn't matter and made me some prescriptions that either didn't help or I didn't like the side effects. When I kicked the junk food diet, many of these issues resolved (like tinnitus, non-productive coughing fits, acid reflux, etc). They aren't trained too much in nutrition and so many people are just brainwashed and stubborn about it. Gerson M. D. Presented proof but he wrote about how it was rejected. We live in a business medical model where studies can be bought. When there's so much money and control in big pharma, you're not going to find the studies supporting things that would get in the way of their interests. Here is a video of a man who worked for Eli Lily showing why he left. Yes he is trying to do his own thing with a book he is promoting on nutrition but I think it's interesting when he gives an idea what big pharma wanted for him. SHOCKING in a way!

The best thing we can do - is for those with hepatitis that find there way here - to give the BHT a try and report back if/when the viral load goes down, stays down and after a year or two if/when the hepatitis is no longer detected. People keep medical records. People have been kind of programmed to fear and not trust alternative things; but for the explorers here who will try and post feedback... Then others will try if they start seeing others succeed in healing too.

It is difficult because many people also want instant gratification and it's hard to stay disciplined for one or two years on any regimen. If it helped you Oscar and I've read a few other stories here, then keep on sharing and helping people. If I had hepatitis and there was no cure, I am the type that would try it; because I don't trust mainstream as being always the best answer. I just see a lot of wrong things and corruption. But I can understand the pessimism and distrust of others because we also live in a world where people sell snake oil. People see beautiful ads and buy the latest diet pill or this or that and find it didn't work and they are out money. It's too bad because then people become cynical and as protection won't accept new info out of the box even if it might be true.

I fully believe your story. I see the same in the AIDS world. There is a huge movement of people starting to question the standard antiviral treatments pushed to HIV positive people, siting safer natural approaches that do not involve expensive/patented toxic chemotherapy for the rest of one's life. This is the ideal scenario to an industry that is only successful financially if people are sick and with limited options.

Any postings concerning successful alternate treatments are immediately banned from most forums. These places are always directly funded by big-pharma as "educational" sites, or indirectly supported by them through ad revenue.

I fully agree with the Gerson mention that all chronic diseases are a result of a mix between Mal-nutrition and toxicity. It's been my experience that removing both will result in immediate health improvements, no matter what the underlying problem in. This is a huge threat to certain medical conglomerates.

Forums like this are extremely important. I have never any censorship issues with my anonymous posts. Amazing job earthclinic!

Dear Anon, Yes, this is a truly exceptional forum. Now it is a given that many of the treatments discussed here do NOT have any official approval. That is understood or should be by all participants. But NO treatment that is not funded by what I refer to as BIG PHARMA ever will get official approval for diseases including hepatitis C and AIDS. When we are discussing those two diseases there are a very many billions of dollars for those two diseases alone. I want you to know that the AIDS virus is among those lipid coated viruses BHT has proven itself to be at there very least helpful.

There was a lot of interest and awareness about BHT as a treatment for any and all lipid coated viruses back in the 1980s and 1990s. That awareness has by and large disappeared. Also, I did dig up that toxicology statement, that gives BHT a NOEL [ no-observered-effects-level ] of what works out to 1, 250mg of BHT per day for a 110 pound person. And also that PHYSIOLOGICAL REVIEWS article that shows a 22% to 31% average lifespan increase in mice dosed with BHT over their entire lifetimes compared to undosed mice.

Those two extremely well researched statements put the lie to all this crap people grab onto about how bad BHT is supposed to be for people. And then it was proved that BHT occurred naturally in at least some phytoplankton. That was always another lie used to discredit BHT. It was supposedly unnatural and therefore bad for you.

So, at the very least: BHT is good for you taken in the dosages myself and others have been discussing for many years now and there is significant evidence growing that indeed it is a very powerful anti-viral for lipid coated viruses of many types including hepatitis C and the AIDS virus.

And if you dare to discuss BHT as an effective treatment in many of these forums they will come up with some reason to ban you and delete your postings. Yes this BHT really does work. And it is long past the time people should have been looking into just how well it does work. It is truly amazing stuff especially when compared to the conventional treatments that seem to always include some variation of interferon. Read the postings in these forums about the devasting results many people experience with these treatments.

They cost many thousands of dollars per year per person and do NOT work very well for a very many of those people. And a very many relapse within a few years if they do work. You understand what I am talking about. I could go on and on....Oscar

Hi Oscar, My uncle is in stage 4 liver cancer related to Hep C, his kidneys are starting to shut down and no treatment is working at this time. He is willing to try anything and I stumbled onto this website and love it. Some of these remedies and alternative medicines on here are excellent and I've been using them for quite sometime never knowing there was a website that was putting them out there for anyone.

My question is do you think the BHT would work for him since he is pretty bad off? Today he just got labs done today and his liver enzymes are high. Alt-62, ALK203, AST-119. Renal panel, Creatinine 145, BUN-40. All of his other labs are fine at this moment in time. What do you think. Do you think he is a candidate for BHT?

Dear Garrett from Oklahoma City, I will do my best to address your concerns. Now obviously your Uncle is very sick. He not only has hepatitis C, but also: liver cancer and some type of kidney failure. This kidney failure is one of the well known side effects of the conventional treatments.

I am not a doctor and therefore cannot speak with the authority of an MD. BUT: I do know a lot about the use of BHT to treat hepatitis C and other conditions. I obviously cannot promise a successful outcome for your uncle. Who can with someone suffering three life threatening conditions?

BHT therapy may be the ONLY hope left for him.

    1. BHT is an effective treatment for hepatitis C.

    2. BHT does not harm the liver or kidneys in the dosages I have been discussing.

    3. There is substantial evidence that BHT at the very least prevents cancer. That evidence is based on Dr. Denham Harman`s mice studies and that of others also. It is worth noting that in Dr. Harman`s studies that the mice he used in some of his earliest studies had a propensity for getting cancer and that with those cancer prone mice: an average lifespan increase of between 45% and 50% was achieved. Dr. Harman`s critics were those that critised his studies BECAUSE the mice he was dosing with BHT had a propensity for getting cancer and stated that ALL he was doing was preventing those mice from getting cancer and that is what accounted for this dramatic average lifespan increase.

Very many other such studies have been done with mice and other mammals by a very many others. The results of those studies show an average lifespan increase in mice dosed with BHT over their entire lifetimes of between 22% and 31% as discussed in this PHYSIOLOGICOL REVIEWS article: http://physrev.physiology.org/content/87/4/1175/T3.expansion.html

So, there is a whole lot of evidence available that BHT has a lot going for it, and that it is relatively safe taken in the dosages I have been discussing. 200mg to 1,000mg of BHT per day taken with a gulp of water on an empty stomach.

Because your uncle is as sick as he is: I do suggest he start out with no more than one 350mg capsule of BHT per day and see how he responds to this treatment. I also suggest that simple test I have discussed in the past: open up a capsule and empty the contents onto a small dish. Then lick your finger and daub it onto the BHT crystals and lick those BHT crystals off that finger. In your Uncle`s case I recommend waiting at least 2 hours to check for any adverse reaction. Also, I do highly recommend that 2 tablespoons of olive oil be taken seperately from the BHT, not at the same time, waiting at least 2 hours before or after BHT dosing. Your uncle is very sick and every precaution needs to be taken. Please report into this forum as to how your uncle responds to this treatment if he chooses to try it....Oscar

    Dear Oscar and group,

First off, thank you so much for bringing to light the BHT remedy for Hep-C. My friend who is now 40 received it when he still lived in what was the former Yugoslavia. Two years ago he did the one year treatment of interferon. Apart from great suffering and loss of work, it gave no benefit.

BHT can't be bought in Israel, so what I did is contact a company that formulates feed additives for animals. They use the BHT as a preservative. They gave 500gr free of charge because they buy in tons and half a kilo is nothing for them. It also came with a COA from the Chinese manufacturer stating a purity of 99.95%.

So he is taking a quarter of a teaspoon every day stirred in water (not-soluble). At first he felt as if he was floating - like a drug effect. Then he began to have temper moods. He will try it for 3 months and then have a blood sample analyzed. It costs $315 for a virus count. We will update when the time comes. So have given this info if someone can't find BHT they should approach a formulator in their region.

ATENTION HEATHER from Jerulsalem, THAT IS TOO much BHT!!! This is Oscar. That 1/4 teaspoon is probably at least one gram or 1, 000mg. That is too much for people to safely take at one time. I have discussed many times now the importance of starting out with small dosages and working up to one 350mg of BHT taken TWICE a day. That light headidness you mentioned is probably the result of a lowering of blood pressure.

Yes, this BHT is very effective as a treatment for hepatitis C. BUT, using a safe dosage is very important. Please tell your friend to lower the dosage as soon as you can. More is NOT better. ANY and all trying this treatment need to find a dosage they are comfortable with. They need to start with small dosages and work up to NO more than 700mg of BHT taken in two seperate dosages per day for average size adults.

This dosage issue is very important. BHT is a powerful antioxidant. Crap, I get frightened when people start buying it in bulk and start guessing as to the dosage being used based on what ? Like I said: that 1/4 teaspoon is probably at least 1,000mg. I say that because I just poured a 350mg capsule of BHT into a 1 teaspoon measuring spoon and that is my very rough estimate.

Please report back to this forum and tell me you informed your friend that he or she is taking too much BHT. Do that for me. Also, there is no need to mix the BHT with water. If purchased in bulk you can simply lick it off a teaspoon and take a gulp of water to wash it down. This is an issue I had not anticipated. I can not tell anyone what a dosage works out as in teaspoons. It is MUCH LESS than 1/4 of a teaspoon....Oscar

Hi Oscar - I finally dicided that the easiest way to measure the BHT was to buy the 350mg caps and empty one into a measuring spoon. I found that a little less than one full 1/8 tsp equaled 350mgs. This is how I measure my bulk BHT. Thanks - Susan

Thank You Susan for this important feedback, I have done my own little experiments concerning : what is the volume measurement of 350mg of BHT measured in fractions of a teaspoon. This has become an issue because for some people the only way they can buy BHT is in bulk in some countries of the world. My experiments more or less agree with yours. This is NOT an accurate way of measuring what is a weight measurement. But some people may be forced to buy BHT in bulk and it is at least a rough estimate and that is a lot better than nothing. So, I would agree with Susan that slightly less than 1/8 th of a teaspoon is roughly 350mg. It is a rough or somewhat innaccurate way of measuring a dosage but better than no guidance. If possible I strongly recommend buying the measured capsules. Thank you very much for this helpful information Susan.

I wish to ask you if you are using the BHT as a treatment for hepatitis C or some other viral disease? If so which one ? Feedback from you and other members of this here forum is the ONLY way these questions will ever be answered because NO other forum has taken a serious interest in this and big pharma and the different governments have shown NO interest in this important treatment. They seem very determined to suppress or discredit this life saving information. I have been at this for 14 years now and that IS my conclusion. This BHT stuff really does work as an anti-viral for many of the worst viruses out there....Oscar

He will stop as of today for 4- 5 days. Then resume at 1/8 tsp. Twice a day. I don't believe any harsh damage done - it is just a matter of intense die-off - right? Dear Dean from Las Vegas, Well I can well imagine that was an unhappy New Years surprise, to find out you have hepatitis C. I want you to know you are going to beat this disease and it will not take all that long to do so with the use of BHT. In a matter of a few months at the most you will get those viral load counts down to: NO VIRUS DETECTED. As I have explained in the past: This does NOT mean you are cured. It means the BHT treatment is working. To be truly cured does take at least two years of daily dosing with BHT from my experience. But so what. This BHT is actually good for you if taken in the doses I have been discussing.

That dosage again is 350mg of BHT taken twice a day on an empty stomach with a gulp of water. Now once those viral load counts are down to: NO VIRUS DETECTED, I do think that one 350mg per day is an adequate dosage for the long term and see no reason to take more than that unless the virus shows up in some future test.

So try not to get all bummed out about this. This BHT actually does work for those willing to give it a fair try, meaning at least 6 months. Usually significant progress is shown in a few weeks, but for some people it takes a few months. Stay in touch with this forum and keep us up to date with any test results. Sincerely, ...Oscar

Dear Heather, Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, your freind was taking to much of the BHT. Anytime anyone experiences side effects they need to lower the dosage of BHT. For most but not all people 350mg taken twice a day is a safe dosage. For some this is too much. There is no big hurry with this treatment. Finding a safe dosage that causes NO side effects is the goal. The treatment simply takes a bit longer at the lower dosages and is no reason to get discouraged. So, if your freind has any problems with the 350mg dosages taken twice a day: LOWER THAT DOSAGE. Some people are sensitive to BHT and they need to take less. Stay in touch with this forum and keep us informed of any problems your freind has using the BHT. Hopefully he or she will be OK with the 350mg of BHT taken twice a day. If not: Lower the dosage....Oscar

Dear Heather from Jerusalem, This is a follow up to an earlier response from me to you. Like I said: Your freind, Daniel, was taking too much BHT. There is NO reason to get freaked out. It is extremely unlikely any cellular damage was done. From the extensive research that has been done regarding the toxicity of BHT: Even 2, 000mg of BHT per day is very unlikely to have caused any permanent damage of any sort or type. Of course he needs to lower that dosage. And you did say he is a vegetarian. I expect he is a lean and or thin person. The reason I mention that and it is important: Is because thin and or lean people are the people most prone to adverse side effects with the use of BHT. This is because BHT and it`s metabolites accumilate in fat tissues. I want Daniel to start out with no more than 1/16 of a teaspoon of BHT taken at first only once a day. Let him see if that dosage is comfortable for him. If it is, then try that 1/16th of a spoonful twice a day. If that causes any problems go back to the 1/16th of a teaspoon once a day. Even these small dosages will work, though they may take a bit longer. In fact: I was only taking 200mg of BHT per day and had the dramatic positive response I have reported so many times now and 1/16th of a teaspoon IS about 200mg of BHT. And I am NOT a thin person. I WAS a lean person back in 1997. I weighed about 175 pounds back then and am about 6 feet tall and was lean back then.

I am rethinking all this dosage stuff. I very much believe in taking the smallest effective dosage. If a small dosage works why take more ? I care so very much about everyone. I never want to cause harm to others unless are out to hurt me.

But this hepatits C is a life threatening disease and doing nothing to treat it is NOT any sort of an answer, is it ? So, in conclusion to this posting: Have Daniel try the 1/16 of a teaspoon of BHT per day with a gulp of water and let us see how he responds to that. It may very well be the correct dosage for him. Please update this forum with any test results....Oscar

Thank you Oscar for the concern. Daniel is indeed 1. 80m tall and weighs 70kgs - by all means he is thin. I am sure and convinced that no damage on a cellular level has been done, but the die off must have been immense because his muscles and sinews still hurt a lot. Like fibromyalgia symptoms. He is on a break since your e-mail last week from BHT. He will take barley powder to help the body flush out the dead corpses of the virus. He will resume the BHT at the very low dosage of 1/16tsp end of the week. He wishes that I convey his sincere thanks to you. We will keep in touch.

Dear Heather, Thank you for staying in touch with this forum and me. It has become increasingly clear to me from the feedback provided by you and others in the different frorums: That thin and lean people NEED to take less BHT to achieve the desired results and that to take more is NOT good.

From the many toxicology reports I have read: BHT and its metabolites accumulate in fat tissues. So: The less fat tissue you have the less BHT is required to achieve the desired results and to take more BHT than is desired does result in undesired side effects. You want to keep the blood free of intact viral particles, but not to leach the essential lipid stuctures of the required lipids. I do suggest any lean or thin person to include at least 2 tablespoons of olive oil per day in their diets while using this treatment. It is very important that this olive oil or any other oil be taken seperately from the BHT and not to be mixed with the BHT. Wait at least one hour before ingesting any oil or fat after taking the BHT to insure that the BHT and it`s metabolites seek out those lipid coated viruses. This BHT treatment does work. The details as to how best use this treatment ARE being worked out thanks to your feedback and that of others also.

I do think the side effects your friend Daniel had is the result of a depletion of the lipids that make up the sheathing of nerve cells, very much like the sort of problems that occur with electrical wires that have inadequate plastic sheathing. Electrical current spill over, and shorted circuits. In fact: the chemical makeup of the sheathing of electrical wires is very much the same chemical makeup of nerve sheathing: A very high hydrocarbon content.

So, in conclusion: Thin and or lean people generally need and desire less BHT to acheive the desired result: The destruction of lipid coated viruses. And, this includes an adequate source of high quality lipids such as olive oil will go a long ways in preventing side effects....Oscar

Today is Sun. Jan. 15th 2012. I began using BHT on Jan. 6th 2012. My Hep C never bothered me until August of 2011. About the middle of the month I began to be very sensitive to the sun and soon after developed a serious itching problem. Along with this my urine became very dark (orange to almost brown) and my stools became ultra pale to almost white. I could feel my liver was in an enlarged condition every time I inhaled deeply or ate too much. My appetite fluctuated from good to poor but no matter what I slowly lost 15 pounds from 178 to 163 or so. I found this web site, read Oscars posts, and decided to give BHT a try. After 3 days my urine returned to a normal color. It then became a little darker for a couple days but has since returned to normal again. My stools are slowly returning to a normal color (not there yet) and consistency (I failed to mention I had diarrhea since mid August). As of now I am very hopeful that this is working. I still don't feel perfect but do feel well. My liver feels quite normal, size wise, and I am energized again (felt like crap for a long time). I will post again with my progress. Good luck to all and thanks Oscar.

Figure I should give a little update. I haven't been to the doctor or had any blood test since I started bht treatments. These are just my personal observations.

I do feel better, digestion seems to be working better, better appetite and general feeling well. My family says I even look better. I have also gained a little weight back 5 or 10 pounds.

I will be getting blood work done in a week or so, and will post those results when I get them.

Oscar, I believe your doing good work here, I would be totally lost if I hadn't found this site. I know you get discouraged from folks not posting back with better results. I have just been taking bht for about 6 weeks. I have had no serious problems taking the dose I been taking. 400 mg in the morning and 200 mg in the evening when I have a empty stomach.

I want all three of you and the rest of the forum also to know: That, this is exactly the sort of improvement I first experienced. I felt better, stronger, looked better, and had improvement in my digestion and my urine looked normal again within about 2 weeks of this treatment. I also did NOT feel totally well. For me that took about 4 weeks of treatment with the BHT. In my opinion your initial response is every bit as good as mine was and is very good reason to believe the treatment is working.

People do not become symptomatic until their livers are thoroughly infected with this viral disease. The sort of improvement these people describe is significant especially when such improvement is shown after such short periods of treatment as described by these people.

Yes, it is very important to address the problems some people experience with this treatment. And there is every reason to beleive it takes longer for some than others. How could it be otherwise? Dear Dean from Las Vegas, In my opinion: using BHT while using the H2O2 [ hydrogen peroxide ] is NOT a good idea. One of the better known chemical reactions that transpires in mixing the two is the deactivation of two molecules of H202 as described here at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butylated_hydroxytoluene#Reactions

So, in my opinion you in effect do have two compounds working against each other. I could be wrong about that. I really do not know with any certainty. In my opinion the BHT works very well by itself as a treatment for hepatitis C....Oscar

Dear Bigshow, The questions you ask me are hard to answer with so little information to work with.

My most immediate concern is how sick is your Uncle? Also: How old is he? Does he have other health concerns such as any sort of heart problems?

From what little you have told me: He does not appear to be suffering any serious side effect with the use of BHT. Being tired and such is a common if not universal effect of having hepatitis C along with many other symptoms also.

That 350mg dosage once per day should be a safe dosage. Stay with that for now. He has only been taking the BHT for nine days. This BHT treatment does take some time before people start to feel better. Even for those who respond very well to the BHT treatment a few weeks of treatment are required before noticable improvement is experienced. The liver is constantly producing new cells. The way this treatment works is by preventing any uninfected cells from becoming infected. This allows for enough healthy cells to come into existence to allow for normal liver function. This does take at least a few weeks for people experiencing liver failure.

Also: How much does your uncle weigh? Is he a thin or lean person? Is he having any liver function tests being done? This hepatitis C is a life threatening disease. He should be having liver function tests being done to track said liver function on a weekly basis if possible.

The first goal with this BHT treatment is to achieve healthy liver function. It took me about 4 weeks of BHT treatment to get there and I was experiencing liver failure. Now for you and everyone else out there: Achieving normal liver function results does NOT mean you are cured. That requires years of daily dosing with BHT.

The reason why that is true is because: Any person can have normal liver function with as little as 10% of the liver functioning properly. You need to keep taking the BHT for at least 2 years and probably more than that to ensure there are no infected cells left.

BHT can NOT uninfect a living liver cell. BHT taken on a daily basis can ensure that no uninfected cells become infected. And it does follow that: If no new cells become infected a true CURE is achieved eventually because every cell that makes up any person`s liver is a new cell about every year or so.

It is NOT the same as taking an antibiotic for some bacterial infection.

From the little you have told me I suggest your uncle keep taking only one 350mg per day of BHT and let's see if he shows some improvement or not and take it from there. Any information you can provide as to his weight, liver function and such will be helpful....Oscar

Bigshow6666 is my alias, my name is Garrett I spoke with about a month ago on a previous hep c blog on earth clinic about my uncle and gave you liver enyzme levels which were highly elevated he weighs 190 pnds and slightly jaundice in the eyes. His renal panel is elevated as well. He just went to get tested again but results are not just yet. They doctor is wanting to drain his ascities next week because they say it is getting worse. He still is continuing to take the BHT 350 mg- should he take twice a day?

Dear Garrett AKA Bigshow, Well, from what you just told me your uncle is having some very serious medical problems. I would NOT and never will second guess his treating doctors. This ascities is a serious condition most often associated with cirrhosis. For sure go along with any procedure such as this draining you discussed the treating doctor decides upon. This is a relatively simple procedure.

Now as to increasing his BHT dosage: If and only if no improvement is shown in his liver function tests since he began using the BHT treatment increase the dosage of BHT to: one 350mg of BHT TWICE a day every other day and see if there is improvement in his liver function tests at that dosage.

Now you also mentioned that your uncle is having kidney trouble. Obviously this is another serious condition. And is an additional reason to proceed with caution with the BHT treatment. This is another reason for taking as little of the BHT as is necessary to effect improvement in his liver function.

On a note of encouragement: I weigh about the same as your uncle [ 190 pounds ]. Also, I have and had only one kidney when I successfully treated my hepatitis C infection with the use of low dose BHT treatments back in 1997. Keep in touch with me in this forum with any and all test results. I am hoping some improvement will be shown in his next liver function tests. If no improvement is shown: Then go ahead and increase the dosage to: one 350mg capsule of BHT Twice a day, every other day and let us see how that works. I am very concerned because your uncle is as sick as he is and want to proceed with a great deal of caution regarding the BHT treatments.

Also: Is your uncle now taking one of the different interferon treatments or not? I expect he is but do not know that. I am NOT saying he should not be, I simply want to know all I can as to what is going on with him. I very much want to see him get well and will do my best to provide helpful information. Because of his kidney problems I do suggest he take: one cup of pure cranberry juice [ NOT some cranberry juice cocktail ] per day. This cranberry juice is a well know means of cleansing the kidneys. Stay in touch, ...Oscar

Hey Oscar, Yeah he did take that interferon therapy for about a year and we think that might of actually caused him to become even more ill. As I told you in a blog he has been battling hep c for over 30 years and did very well before the therapy. He just gave me this weeks lab results from this week. He gets lab done every three weeks.

Three weeks ago his labs were as follows, ALT-62, ALK203, AST119. Creatinine 1.45, and BUN 40. This week after nine days of taking BHT once a day 350mg his labs are ALT-73, ALK158, AST-126, Creat-1.46, and BUN 39. Most are really unchanged but the ALK is 25% lower than three weeks ago. I'm not sure if that is because of the BHT or because of the filtered water he is now drinking, or chamomile tea he is drinking. I read on here chanca piedra is good for the kidneys but we haven't tried that yet. And do you think milk thistle could help now as well? About the paracentesis- he is going to go ahead and do that because it is necessary because he is so bad off. I don't know if we should be excited about the ALK at 158 or not. What do you think?

Oscar, been following this BHT thread for awhile. It is making more sense as I investigate on my own. Question - How do we minimize the potential destructive impact on the lipid coating of normal cells, if this is an issue? Have yours or any other members research addressed this?

I started about a week ago on 350 mg capsules from VRP twice a day on empty stomach and take either 1 Tablespoon of EV Olive Oil or Nutive Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, one hour after taking BHT.

I have HCV type 1b, last VL Count 275,000 (highest it has ever been) over the decades I have had HCV. I got it from Military, Vietnam Era back in 1970, even though they reject the notion it was from them (VA). For awhile I would be diagnosed as Non AB and no one knew what that was.

My ALTs remain steady averaging 125 and AST remain steady averaging 60.

I was diagnosed with liver chirottic in nature, no ascites, negative on the last EGD, slightly enlarged spleen, slightly elevated iron, somewhat low platelet count (averaging 125 and it has been this level as far back as the medical records I have). All else seems to be fine.

I have not had a biopsy yet as VA said it is not necessary and that the complications are high.

The VA wanted and still is trying to get me to go on the Treatments, especially with the new 3rd drug they added. I am 58, 6'5", 225 lbs, and other than HCV, I think I am pretty healthy. The VA said I would be a good candidate for elimination of the virus since it continues to be what they consider low, even though I am a black male, over 40, with type 1b. I don't feel comfortable about this option.

Your opinion on if there is any negative potential of me also having started the 3 type treatment of Dr. Berkston (Milk Thistle, Selenium, ALA). Is there any potential conflict on the results by doing them both, that you are aware of? I do not do anything within 1 hour before or after BHT.

I am not online very often but I finally decided to try this thread. Please be patient if I do not get back on very often. I do check from time to time and read as much as I can. I forgot to mention, I did try acupuncture for awhile and my platelet count increased to 140 for a short time but insurance does not cover it so I had to stop. I also take pharmaceutical grade Vitamin C at 2.5-5.0 grams.

Dear Oscar, day 49 of BHT twice a day, not always taken on a empty stomach, but have taken 2 350 doses for 49 days. I do feel my energy level is better. Before starting BHT I would mentally crash mid afternoon or 6 at the latest, I mean just be in a fog. Bowel movements seem better as well.

I am 51 and have probably had Hep C since I was 16, I contacted Hep B then from needles and the Dr.'s could never get my liver levels straight at that point. I believe it was called non A non B Hep. back then. I have stage 3 cirrhosis, did my interferon ribaviron treatment at Duke for a year and it came right back, and was told after liver biopsy that I had stage 3 cirrhosis.

I have a year's supply of BHT, scared big brother will find out and some how stop the availability of it. I HAVE HOPE!!! Fatty food, red meat mainly would ruin me for days and I had a nice steak the other night with no liver pain period. I will check back in and thanks to everyone that post on here. I have gotten so much positive information as well as just knowing there are others in the same situation.

    Thanks Oscar!!!

Dear Oscar! I wish earth clinic would keep all these posts in order by date as they are very hard to follow and all mixed up. Please don't be discouraged by all the nay Sayers and complainers here. I am 1A positive and went on the pegetron (poison) 9 Years ago for 48 weeks and had to keep reminding myself that it was only the pegetron that was making me so depressed and sick. I asked my doctor how long it would take to flush it out of my system and he told me about 5 years. It took me 9 years to recover and now my stools have stopped turning white about once a month. Very scary and unsettling I might add. My urine never changed that much in color. My doctor ordered quarterly blood tests and told me it's not if you get cancer but when. So we will check your liver enzymes for that. They have been up and down over the last nine years and he told me that mine seem to fluctuate but it's normal. Over the last nine years the labs have hacked up my arms so badly that I quit getting blood tests, it was just too discouraging. I think I was getting all the trainees as the last time after three tries in my right arm and four in my left I just gave up.

Now I want to tell you that since reading your posts last week that I stumbled upon, I am very excited about this BHT therapy. My symptoms now are a pain in my right lower side more than not. I run out of energy very fast and get a lot of bloating which seems to pinch my liver between my stomach and my ribs and nod off a lot in the afternoon. I weigh 205lbs and get lots of body aches. For those living in Canada I would like to add that in Montreal there is a company called UNIPEX SOLUTIONS that sell food grade BHT. I hope I am allowed to say that because I received my order from VRP and was charged $20.00 shipping on a $6.95 bottle.

Anyway I took one 350 mg cap yesterday at 3:30pm and the side effects were a little to strong. Unbalanced, anxiety, and nervousness. So I split one cap at 7.30am this morning and another at 2.30pm and the side effects were there but not as strong and only last a couple of hours. I can notice the difference already, I have more energy and the pain in my lower right side seems to be subsiding. My body aches are less as well and this is only a day and a half into it. Once the side effects diminish I will go up to 350mg and see how that goes. I am sure I will have more positive things to post the next time.

Oscar, I want to thank you so much for the good thing you have done for us. I am sure this will get better and better as more people self medicate.

Dear Truthbetold, From what you have told me I see NO reason for you to be concerned about including Dr. Berkston`s treatment along with the BHT as long as the BHT is taken seperately from, not at the same time as the other supplements you discussed. Wait at least one hour after taking the BHT before taking any other supplements because BHT will interact with other supplements in totally unpredictable ways if mixed with them.

You seem to be in reasonably good health and are a large man, so the 350mg capsules of BHT taken twice a day should be well in the safe zone as to dosage. Also, because you are a large person it does seem to me that 2 tablespoons of olive oil would be advisable as a means of preventing any possible negative impact on lipid sructures such as nerve sheathing.

Because you are a large person: If and only if no significant improvement is shown a larger dose of BHT may be required. I do think the two capsules of 350mg of BHT will be enough. If no significant improvement is shown go to a third 350mg capsule of BHT every other day. Please keep this forum informed as to your results.

Also, I can NOT give any advice as to taking the prescribed treatments. Some people DO respond well to them. Others do not. Perhaps giving the BHT a couple of months trial before trying these other treatments will work very well. You have had hepatitis C for a long time now so I do not see any compelling reason for getting started immediately on some new treatment that might harm you. But this is a descision you have to make for yourself....Oscar

Dear Art from Vancover Canada, Great to hear from you Art. I do get concerned that the people I most often hear from are those experiencing problems with this BHT treatment or those that don`t get well very rapidly. It does take some time. Not all that much time, but at least a few weeks and for some a few months. Many of these people are very sick and have been for a long time. It takes time for a severely infected liver to heal.

I think there is a lot of confusion as to how BHT works. BHT can NOT uninfect an infected liver cell in the way antibiotics work with bacterial infections. Viral infections are much harder to treat. What BHT can do is insure that the bloodstream remains free of intact viral particles and thereby prevent any uninfected liver cells from becoming infected. But because the liver is constantly creating new liver cells as the old and or infected ones die off, eventually a true cure occurs. That does take years of daily dosing with BHT. But a return to good health can often be realized in a matter of a few weeks or a few months depending on how infected a person`s liver is.

With as little as 10% of the liver functioning properly NO symptums will be detected. This was explained to me by the surgeon who treated me for a gunshot wound that removed two thirds of my liver along with my right kidney.

Anyway, this BHT really does work. It takes longer for some than others. Dramatic positive results are often shown in a matter of only a few weeks for many, for others a few months.

Thank you very much for your encouragement. I DO NEED SOME, now and then....Oscar

Dear Bigfoot, Well these initial test results are inconclusive because there is no significant change and the earlier test results were done prior to his beginning the BHT treatment. But, a baseline has now been established. Never the less: have your uncle try the: one capsule of 350mg of BHT taken TWICE a day every other day. If he has ANY significant adverse effect go back to one 350mg of BHT only once a day. This BHT really does work, but the dosage issue is a tricky one for some people. Also include that 1 tablespoon of olive oil after waiting at least one hour before or after taking the BHT. And, I do very much recommend that one cup of pure cranberry juice once a day for anyone experiencing kidney problems. This cranberry juice worked for me when nothing else did for a chronic kidney infection and was prescribed to me by a knowledgable urologist at the time.

I want you and your uncle to know this BHT worked for me very well when I was in a state of liver failure. It did take about 4 weeks for my liver function tests to return to normal readings. I have only one kidney. I also have and had a very damaged liver. I lost my right kidney and most of my liver as the result of a really bad gunshot wound in Vietnam. What is left of my liver is now where that right kidney used to be. So I also was up against it so to speak with this hepatitis C and now have no indication I was ever infected with HCV and also hepatitis B that I also became infected with as a result of the many blood transfusions at the time of this gunshot wound [ 1968 ]. The only treatment I ever used was this BHT treatment.

So do not get discouraged. This BHT stuff really does work. With your uncle this requires carefull attention to liver function test results and adjusting the BHT dosage accordingly. Also, I see no harm in taking milk thistle as long as it is taken seperately, not at the same time as the BHT. As long as you do NOT take large doses of it....Oscar

Thanks Oscar, I appreciate your input! Thought we might have lost you based on your discouragement from lack of positive feedback from more people. Getting discouraged is natural and okay. Just don't let the discouragement hinder you from doing what you feel will help someone. Sail through the discouragement and continue as you are being led.

I can't afford to have my bloodwork weekly or monthly, so I don't know when the next time I will get it. However, when I do, I will post any changes.

I want to clear up that I am not as large as it sounds in my description. As a matter of fact, being 6'5" I appear underweight to some people. But I am going to monitor closely the impact of the BHT regimine. As of now, I have had no negative symptons (that I can tell).

I to would have liked to see more people who have had positive responses to post them across the various websites. But what can you do! It is like the 10 leapers that Jesus healed, only 1 came back to say thank you.

To the feedback I saw on how to assist my platelet count. THANKS for the TIP! as I write this I can't see the your name and I dont remember it. But I will next time! I have to get used to how to respond so I can see the entire thread while I am replying.

OSCAR! I am very pleased with your experience with BHT. I honestly believe in your experience. You provide much factual information. I am a young woman seeking help for my fiance. He's only 24 and was diagnosed with Hep C about two years ago when he gave blood at a local blood drive, they sent him a letter informing him that he had this nasty virus. It has broken my heart thinking about this evil thing and I desperately want anything that will make him better. Since we dont know exactly when and how he got Hep C its hard to tell where he stands EXACTLY. So I recently scheduled him an appointment and he had a blood test and I believe the doctors said he only had 125,000 strands of the virus. I thought that was a lot until I saw some people struggle with their virus in the millions. :(

I have the website bookmarked of where to get BHT(posted from you above). He is about 180lbs as well so about 350 should be good for him. I am also going to try having him take milk thistle and grapefruit juice everyday. For the past month hes has a continuous strand of vitamin C going through his body because we heard keeping a constant amount helps. Any feedback on that? We are going to try this and I pray that it helps!!! So glad I found this! Will be posting more.

Dear Cm from Wilmington, NC, I am glad to hear from you and to learn you are responding as well as you are to the BHT treatment. The fact that your digestion has improved sinificantly is a very good indication the treatment is working. An improvement in my digestion is one of the first things I noticed when I first began this treatment back in 1997 when I was quite sick with what was diagnosed as hepatitis C with a failing liver by the Veterans Administration.

You have been living with this disease for a long time now. This treatment does work and you are getting better. Also, there is very good reason for you to anticipate a full recovery in spite of the liver damage you discussed. The liver has a very remarkable ability to recover from even severe damage once the cause of this damage is eliminated as in a hepatis C infection. Once the new cells are no longer becoming infected, thanks to the BHT treatments the liver recovers.

Now I want you and everyone else out there to know: A true CURE is achievable with daily dosing with BHT for at least 2 years. If you tolerate the BHT well you need to keep taking it to achieve this true cure. I don`t know how many years, only that it happens eventually. It did for me. I know this because I was asked by the VA why I had checked that I had tested positive for both hepatitis C and B in a questionaire I filled out when I moved to a new VA regional facility. I was told they tested me again and that I showed NO sign I had ever been infected with both the HCV and the HBV. I told the person questioning me that I had been tested and restested in Boston and was positive for both in 1997 and was diagnosed as having hepatitis C with a failing liver. This person did NOT believe me UNTIL I guided her back to those medical records from Boston. She did not know what to make of it because this was unheard of and she attributed it to SPONTANIOUS RECOVERY.

It is because of the BHT treatments and nothing else. I was NEVER given any treatment by the VA. This BHT really does work.

Thank you so very much for your feedback, ...Oscar

I had to scroll back through many other posts to find your reply. Funny thing is after praying for the master to help me I found your posts. Any way I have noticed a difference with the pain in my lower right side being diminished over the past for days. Also I have had chest pain on the left side of my chest that is also diminishing. I have been checked over for this and they can't find anything. I am very hopeful that this will work and I don't mind taking it for the rest of my life for good health. I wonder if there is some significance to the mickydees cheese burger which sat on a lady's kitchen counter for one year without rotting. LOL. You can see it on youtube if I am allowed to say.

Anyway I am beginning to feel better after four days and get very excited about this. I know I will have some downs to go with the ups but I feel it will be more ups. Three yers ago the task of putting a dress mirror on the wall was very overwhelming. Last summer I did not have the energy to use the weed whacker over 30' of distance and got very exhausted. This year I managed to spend 3 hours clearing snow with my electric 16" snow snow thrower and felt pretty good. That is a big improvement over last year of being overwhelmed at the task. I will be posting my good results as the time goes by.

BHT post 2 -- Today is the 16th day of 350mg BHT tablets taken twice a day with a gulp of water as prescribed by the master of recovery, Oscar. I do not have any extraordinary physical results to report but, the change in how I feel mentally and emotionally is tremendous. Only two weeks ago I was completely consumed by how poorly I felt and how worried I was about the future. Because of Oscar's persistence, and the responses of some of you who are also trying this treatment, I started, and I urge anyone who is on the fence about BHT to follow Oscar's advise too. It may still be too soon for me to have physical results that are worth documenting, but the little things that are part of recovery, like ones attitude toward living, are just as important to me, and worth mentioning here. I will continue to post once a week or so and wish all of you all the best.

Try Monolaurin for Hep C. Also Milk Thistle and Colloidal Silver. I was a nurse at a drug treatment program and many of our clients told me they used these and they did well. I use Monolaurin (made from coconut) for lyme disease, cleaned up a MRSA infection and Herpes I cold sores (it works for all types of herpes infections) with it. I buy Inspired Nutrition Brand on web. They use to sell on Amazon but I no longer see them there.Works great. They have a website. Lasts me six months or more. Dear Art from Vancover, It is so very encouraging to hear from you, Truthbetold, and others. Like you: The improvement for me with the use of BHT to treat hepatitis C was rapid and dramatic. I had been so very sick and within about one week I was feeling so much better. I could eat regular food again and felt so much stronger, better. It was not my imagination. I was being carefully monitored by the VA [ Veterans Administration ]. Having weekly liver function tests and such that showed a very real improvement in my liver function in one week of the BHT treatments. And, after 4 weeks of the BHT treatments all my liver function tests were in the NORMAL ranges and NO VIRUS was detected in my blood tests. It truly did amaze me. I have been doing my best to make people aware of all this ever since that time.

And it is only thanks to the CONTACT EARTH CLINIC that more than a few people are taking a serious look at all this. There have been others in other forums, but not very many. Thank you Ted and this forum for allowing this life saving information a chance to be told. Dear Hepabvictim from Hyd, India, In my experience and opinion based on that experience: The BHT does indeed work very well for hepatitis B also. I had both of those diseases as a result of many blood transfusions back in 1968.

I first started using the BHT in 1997 because I was sick with the hepatitis C, but my blood tests also indicated I had been exposed to hepatitis B. In 2006 I was told by the VA [ Veterans Administration ] there is NO indication from the blood tests done at that time: That I had ever been exposed to hepatitis C or hepatitis B.

Also, hepatitis B is very much a lipid coated virus the same as hepatitis C is. The evidence is that BHT is an effective treatment for a very many lipid coated viruses. So, in my opinion: The BHT works very well for hepatitis B also. If you choose to give the BHT a try I would very much appreciate you posting the results of your use of BHT to treat hepatitis B. From the feedback available at this time: For average size adults, one 200mg to 350mg of BHT taken twice a day on an empty stomach with a gulp of water is what works best. I very much advise NOT mixing the BHT with any other supplements at the time it is ingested. Wait at least one hour before taking any other medicines to prevent undesired interactions that will occur in the stomach and duodenum. Just wait one hour before taking anything else other than water. Wishing you the best, a return to good health, ...Oscar

If I, or none of my family, have the virus I will still try to get my fiance's Ex to try the BHT. I have never liked the asshole much.... He chose drugs over his own children. I have been their male figure and raising and supporting them, but being faced with the possability of having the virus myself makes me feel for him. This might be his eye-opener to how precious life and his children are.

If he agrees to take the BHT I will also re-post on how well it works for him. I cannot explain to you how relieved I am to read your posts Oscar, they have given me hope that even if I do have the virus, I will be able to treat and possibly cure myself. Keep up the good work man! I will be praying for everyone on here as well as me and my own, That we do not have it, and that whoever does is cured! Will update when I have more info.... take care.

Dear Strongwill from Smallville, Good hearing from you. You seem like a very good man. Hey, didn't SUPERMAN grow up in your home town? Listen, try not to get frightened about this hepatitis C stuff. This BHT stuff really does work. Thanks to a growing number of this forum`s members the details such as dosages and such are being worked out right here in this forum.

Also: It almost always takes many years before a hepatitis C infection reaches the point where people's livers begin to fail. So if you find out any of your family is infected: You and they are not at the point of liver failure and some daily dosing with the BHT should ensure that you and they NEVER will be.

This is not based on wishful thinking. BHT's ability to effectively treat many lipid coated viruses was established back in the 1970s and 1980s. And, hepatitis C is very much a lipid coated virus. It really is sad that all that research has been ignored by the medical establishment as much as it has. Anyway, wishing you and your family well. I very much hope none of you are infected. But try not to get freaked if some are. This BHT really does work....Oscar

UPDATE. So It's been I think a little over three weeks since my uncle's last test results. He has now been on BHT for a month now and for at least two weeks has been taking 350 mg twice a day. He still is very weak and very swollen in the abdomen. Three weeks ago his ALT was 73 it is now 64. AST was 126 it is now 116. My question to you Oscar is this, a step in the right direction or is it not a change really at all? His renal panel hasn't changed much at all but still elevated.

Dear Garrett from Oklahoma City, Well, with 3 weeks of the BHT treatment your uncle is showing dramatic liver function improvement. If we can get your uncle`s liver funtioning properly that in and of itself is vitally important, obviously.

Hopefully, as time goes by, his kidney function will improve also. Now there are important diffferences between the liver and the kidneys. Simply put: The liver is constantly and rapidly producing new cells and the kidneys do not do so in such a rapid manner.

Do NOT get discouraged. I have some experience to draw on here. As I mentioned earlier in one of my postings: I lost my right kidney along with most of my liver due to a rather severe gunshot wound. I was told by the surgeon who operated on me that: 1. I had lost most of my liver. The entire lower lobe. BUT that my liver would renew itself and be pretty much normal if I did not die from complications. And 2. I had lost my entire right kidney also, but that: My left kidney would get bigger to compensate for the loss of the right kidney and I could live a very much normal life with only one kidney if I did not die of complications.

My point is that: If your uncle`s liver can recover from this hepatitis C infection there is good reason to believe his kidneys can also recover also given time. I expect this bloating you have discussed may be the result of kidney failure along with liver failure. What have his doctors said about this ?

At least his kidney function has not gotten any worse at this time and his liver has shown very significant improvement. He has only been on the BHT treatment 3 weeks. It does take some time for these large organs to heal themselves and to show improvement in function.

In conclusion: Stick with the BHT regemine you are using because it is working. It takes time for these large organs to heal. Also I do recommend one cup of PURE cranberry juice per day for people experiencing kindney problems. It is an excellent kidney flush, it cleanses the kidneys. Do not overdue it. More is NOT better....Oscar

Hi Oscar, What happened to this thread? It seems to end about 2/10/2012. Also...I read many many people very excited about starting BHT (all the way back to 9-2011) but almost no one reporting back very positive results. Am I reading this correctly?

I would really like to see more positive results from more people (I know you asked people to respond, but it looks like people didn't).

    Thanks!

Dear Petermcg from Portland, Well, I get frustrated also about lack of response. There are two things you can do to access the latest responses about this.

    1. Click onto the REMEDIES tab of this forum. Then click onto latest remedies, and the BHT button. Then scroll down to the very end of that thread for the latest in this forum.

    2. You can click here for a link to the BHT CURES group and join this group: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BHTcures/

Dear Kingston from Lahore, There is a product called LDN (Low Dose Natroxene) that you may want to do research on for cancer. As for the hep-c , click on the remedies tab and then click on BHT. That is where I found it. Best of luck. Art.

When I first started using BHT for Hepatitis (Chronic Active) I was happy to see good results, but over time it seemed as if this wasn't enough. A few days ago I began 3 250mg caps daily instead of 2, but with no results. So, I tried pre-dosing w/ 1oz Colloidal Silver, wait 30 min, take 250 mg BHT, wait 30 min, take 3 caps Echinacea or St John'sWort. My liver and overall health are improving every day as a result of this modified protocol.

I have seen a post where he took colloidal silver for 3 months and killed all of his Hepitatis C virus. Anyone using only colloidal silver?
