H1N1 Flu Treatment

What Is H1N1?

Technically speaking, H1N1, otherwise known as swine flu, is a term used to refer to influenza in pigs. However, periodically animals, including pigs, transmit diseases to humans. Typically, individuals who might contract swine flu are those involved in working directly with pigs – hog farmers or veterinarians. Periodically, though, an infected individual may pass that infection to another individual. As such, swine flu has developed into a human respiratory infection caused by the influenza virus H1N1. A global pandemic of the virus was declared in spring of 2009 and ended in August 2010.

The symptoms associated with the swine flu may mimic those of other flu strains. Common symptoms include elevated body temperature or fever, cough and tenderness in the throat. Additional symptoms include achy muscles, headache, chills and general fatigue or tiredness. The flu may also cause intestinal issues as well.

Swine flu is caused by coming into contact with the influenza virus H1N1. This contact must be transferred by way of contaminated water or air droplets or the live virus transferred via a contaminated surface. The influenza viruses attach to and infect the inner lining of the nose, throat and lungs causing illness. The condition cannot be transferred by merely consuming pork or pork products.

Natural Cures for H1N1

Much like any other flu virus, swine flu does not require medical attention if the affected individual is generally considered healthy. As such, many natural options serve as effective flu treatment. Anise seed tea, warm but not boiled, daily can help prevent and treat swine flu. Additional flu treatments include apple cider vinegar, aspirin, and lysine. Supplements including vitamin C, vitamin D, garlic and cayenne support overall health and decrease recovery time from swine flu. Additional rest, lots of fluids and eating healthy soups and foods also aid in recovery from the flu.

Apple Cider Vinegar definately cut the symptoms of H1N1 virus for me. I took 2 cap fulls of ACV with 1-2 Tblsp of Natural Honey...let the kettle boil and cool down to just hot. Poured in the hot water and stired! I drank this every 3 hours the whole first day.The flu came in wave's, but because I took the ACV at the onset of the symptoms... I'm definatley sure I nipped it in the bud because the symptoms are gone and its been 2 days! SO TAKE IT AS SOON AS YOU FEEL IL.

I'm still taking it but only a couple of times a day just to keep virus standing down and make sure it doesn't come back.

Swine Flu Cases: CBS reports CDC deception on swine flu cases

I'm sorry, but I don't see why this should matter to us personally using Earth Clinic. One of my friends was killed at a physics conference by the swine flu. Another of my friends at the university was almost killed by the swine flu by a cytokine storm on his lungs. I developed chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia after the swine flu. It is quite clear to me that it is serious and should be taken seriously and dealt with via NATURAL means such as AHCC, vitamin C, etc. as soon as possible to prevent serious complications, and not pay attention to the political aspects which really don't have any implications for our health.

Understandable, but I would definitely err on the side of caution with swine flu. We all know pharmaceutical companies pretty much control the medical industry, that's why we are all here. but I don't think this should deter people from taking swine flu quite seriously if it is suspected and trying to prevent catching it.

Ted, Thanks for the tip on using aspirin to fight H1N1. I have tried it and it works, and I have not used aspirin or any other drug in years.

Posted by Steve (London, Uk) on 11/19/2009

I am concerned that people would resort to aspirin as a cure. Aspirin is an anti-febrile agent and reduces temperature. The human body elevates temperature to prevent virus material from replicating then the immune system identifies and clears the virus.

Higher temperature inhibits the virus rna from combining during the reproductive cycle which is why we get a fever.

Aspirin is responsible for more cases of pneumonia than doctors care to admit.

Why would anyone in their right mind fight our own body's mechanism for preventing disease - something that has evolved over many thousands of years to a state of perfection.

Most people are mineral & vitamin deficient, couple this with a serious lack of good gut bacteria and a westernised sugar diet and you have total immune disfunction.

If aspirin is required for other ailments such as angina, poor circulation etc - then cayenne pepper is more effective and is also a pain killer.

B3 or niacin is also effective, improves blood flow, dilates arteries, regulates cholesterol, helps clear arterial congestion, but does produce what is known as the niacin flush which is harmless flushing but has none of the liver damaging effects of statins.

Many people here were cured of pneumonia using aspirin when other supplements and medicines are not available. Lysine works, but is not available. I don't use niacin, it causes liver damage especially from time release niacin. The facts you mentioned are contradictory.

The B3 I used here is niacinamide.

My sister is alive today because of aspirin. She had a severe pneumonia and the doctors already given up on her and was ready to call the morgue. My father slipped in aspirin. It saved her life. She was only 2 or 3 years old at the time. I was cured of measles and it was a one day cure with that aspirin. Imagine small pox!

Yes some people are allergic to aspirin, but not everyone. When a person is dying of fever at 104, they may die, just from the fever itself, when no other medications were working at all. And I have tried tamiflu, it simply doesn't work in advanced swine flu cases.

Perhaps you have better cures, I would be happy to hear, especially when a person is living in an isolated rural area with a temperature of 103-104 F.

Aspirin: Swine Flu/Flu

I'd give Aspirin a yea for Swine Flu/Flu. Altho, I never got tested, so it could've been a really bad cold, flu or swine flu.

40 yr old dude here. I started feeling bad on Thursday. The next day I was extremely tired, congested head, sore throat. I could barely get out of bed. Not much of an appetite. I tried D3, Zinc Lozenges, Jean's Tomato Tea, Gargled with Cayenne water, Hydrogen in ears... nothing seemed to work. (I didn't overdo these solutions, I did them once or twice a day depending on the remedy).

By Day 3, Saturday I was still out of it. I had muscle aches (and a congested ear) but honestly I've had worse body aches from previous flus so I still wasn't certain what I had. It was Day 4, when I got a fever of 100.2 that I suspected I had the flu vs. a cold. (I also read that nowadays all flus are pretty much the swine flu. I think it's really spreading fast.) That's when I tried the Aspirin cure. I did it again the next day because the fever came back in 24 hrs time. By Day 6 I felt better. No fever. But still congested head. More energy tho. And Day 7, I definitely feel stronger. Still a little congested but stronger. Able to get things done, concentrate.

Now I didn't start to take Aspirin until Day 4/5, so one could say my flu/cold ran its course and of course by Day 7 I would feel better. But that Fever was making me feel miserable so I said what do I have to lose. Plus I read that one doesn't usually have fevers during colds and I found it weird I got a fever AFTER having symptoms for 3 days. I would try the Aspirin cure again.

here's what I took:
Day 4: I took 1 325mg Aspirin, crushed in half cup of water, every hour... for 3 hrs.

Day 5: I took 1 325mg Aspirin, crushed in half cup of water, every hour... for 4 hrs.

I love this site by the way.

Hello everyone,

My eight year old came down with cough, fever (103), body aches. Gave her aspirin yesterday starting with 325 mg at Noon followed by 1/2 gram of vitamin C (in juice hourly). Fever responded (99.4). Half an aspirin every two hrs (-/ 170 mg). Backed off on vitamin C at 8 due to gastro upset (which I was shooting for, she hadn't had a BM for two days). She had a small BM before dinner. But, threw up dinner-she was hungry, but tummy wasn't ready.

Last aspirin at bedtime with cough medicine. Slept fine.

This morning freaked out about the aspirin due to Reyes Syndrome. So Aspirin until noon wanted monitor for new symptoms. She was hot this morning with bloodshot eye. Gave prune/apple juice because gastro upset continued with flatuence but no BM. She had a sizable BM an hour or so later. She ate, singing.

Sorry so long, but despite my Reyes Syndrome freak out, the aspirin seems to be effective. Make sure to make them drink (at the top of the hr I give water and juice) so as to flush the system and keep the bowels open.

Hope this helpful.

My 19 yr old daughter was diagnosed with Flu Wednesday Oct 7th having 104 fever and typical symptoms. Her college roommate is recovering from Swine Flu which she had for a couple weeks. Daughter came home after doctor visit was prescribed Tamiflu which she took dosage as instructed. Once I came home Wednesday evening I researched Earth Clinic and read Ted's aspirin remedy.

I dissolved 500 mg aspirin in water and gave her one Vitamin C tablet with instructions to do the same every hour until she fell asleep. She slept well and yesterday all symptoms were dramatically improved and had no fever. She took aspirin/vitamin C remedy a couple times today and went back to school AFTER ONLY TWO DAYS !!!!

Regardless of naysayers, if you or someone you love (over 12 yrs old) has the FLU by all means try this remedy! I am totally convinced and feel grateful to have this knowledge in case my wife or I come down with symptoms.

Dear Ted, I really like Earth Clinic and have learned a lot from it that I share with others. Your article about aspirin for the flu really intrigued me, and I want you to know I believe you and that you are sincere, but tonight on Coast to Coast Am some guy was talking and saying that whatever you do don't take aspirin for the bird flu as the doctors during 1918 prescribed it all the time as they really had no cure, and that this caused people to die quicker. But then again they also did not know how to take it. I don't believe this guy but maybe he is just trying to put out false propaganda. I wanted you to know, and if you care to respond to this e-mail Thank You very much for all that you do! I'm in California.

The truth is the popularity in aspirin was the very fact that 1918 Spanish flu viruse STOPPED the epidemic. It didn't just stopped by itself. I learned this only AFTER I have found that independently that aspirin did kill the bird flu, swine flu and dengue fever. I have as yet looking over the possibility of use in Hanta viruses, but that I don't know. What the aspirin does is it just digest the viruses when I look over a very high powered electron microscope during my student days even in very weak solutions. May I also remind you that I have seen (I can't say I cured for legal reason) that I have this person with a two year Chlamydia, which resists ALL KINDS of antibiotics (you name it, azithromycin, terramycine, amoxcillin, etc) and I finally gave up and aspirin was tried. The dose was 500 mg of aspirin, taken hourly for four tablets, each tablets is DISSOLVED in a cup of warm water. It was completely gone. The uniqueness of the aspirin is the salicyclic acid portion that dissolves any bacteria and many viruses sight. The chlamydia NEVER came back! Imagine a man with chlamydia eating up his testicles and you can imagine the pain he's suffering with the Chlamydia.

People who goes to talk shows are likely have vested financial interests, I DON'T go to any talk shows and rather tell the truth under the radar or scrutiny of the pharma industry and I think this is the best approach for me. For the unbelievers, I have plenty of people here who can vouch that the aspirin did work and it's synergistic with the vitamin C. It wasn't easy finding the cure, but once it's found I hope people will find some benefit, especially the fact that vaccinations are dangerous with highly dangerous bacteria and viruses, and they are live bacteria and viruses. Hence, to neutralize these, I only expect at least just taking ASPIRIN (or lysine) hourly for only 4 times in one day. It's the bare minimum so that the vaccination should it be mandatory there is A WAY AROUND this problem. The use of digestive enzyme works too, but it is not nearly as dramatic as lysine or aspirin. Perhaps I have to look into this further with dose/frequency issue.

Thank you for your support!

For the "UNBELIEVERS..."??? OK, now I know this site is more of a Church than anything else, unless you are willing to list your references and sources so that those of us who are interested can read up on this subject for ourselves and draw our own conclusions. Or are we benighted "unbelievers" just supposed to take your word for it and use a "cure" that might give us or our children Reye's Syndrome, or "viral pneumonia"...massive, uncontrolled viral replication...and kill us?

I don't know who the guest on Coast-to-Coast was because I don't listen to that show, but I read Marshall Smith's Tamiflu article on his website www.brojon.org a couple of years ago, and his reasoning makes more sense to me than yours does. As a matter of fact, Arturo wrote to say that he had taken aspirin for his flu, and that the flu had "moved down into his lungs"...WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT MARSHALL SMITH SAID WOULD HAPPEN IF A PERSON TOOK ASPIRIN TO LOWER THE FEVER THAT IS THE BODY'S WAY OF KEEPING THE FLU FROM REPLICATING! That, plus the danger of aspirin causing Reye's Syndrome, is enough to keep me from using your bogus "cure". Vitamin D-3, Vitamin C, possibly Lysine, frequent hand-washing, keeping my hands away from my face, NO VACCINES, staying out of crowds, getting lots of rest...that is my way of not getting the flu. And NO ASPIRIN, because if my precautions fail and I do end up getting the flu, I don't want to die from Reye's Syndrome or from the fluid-filled lungs that are caused uncontrolled viral replication, both of which are brought on by this bogus "cure".

What really bothers me, though, is that you don't even bother to warn people about the possiblity of Reye's Syndrome. Since you are promoting a "cure" that uses aspirin, I concider that oversight to be a serious breach of responsiblity on your part.

Why some people put down aspirin is strictly from not understanding anything, nor bothering to read about it. Reyes Syndrome is VERY RARE in people over 18 look it up, read it on the internet. It is pretty much only something that affects the young under 18 .If it was as bad as they say would they be telling adults to take an aspirin a day? Use your head before you repeat something you have heard. The great miracle of the internet is here use it, do research. If you are giving it to a child then think twice it may be dangerous, but for someone who is an adult even research and doctors are not against it.

To Kathy from Dubois: You say that what bothers you is that Ted doesn't warn about Reyes Syndrome, etc.; here is a quote from Ted's "As a standard warning, people who have problems of inability to tolerate aspirin, probably know anyway, such as Reye's syndrome which should be avoided. Another is people with malaria and hemorrhagic fever should avoid aspirin use. A suitable substitute for aspirin, should people have intolerance of aspirin, is hydrogen peroxide 3%, one capful in one liter of drinking water, taken at 1/2 glass taken every 30 minutes for a total doses of 10, also completely kills off the virus. However, some vitamin C helps a lot, whether it's using the hydrogen peroxide or the aspirin or lysine when getting a cure for flu. You don't need vaccines. Hydrogen peroxide doesn't seem to work as fantastic as lysine or aspirin, perhaps because the vitamin C was needed on top of that, but it does work too."

I don't know Ted and I haven't had flu (Thank God), but I just thought to make this observation.

With all due respect to Ted, I have included the info below, because I think we all need to research a bit on our home health cures -- especially when exploring cures for more serious problems. I noticed the dosage used in 1918 was much higher than what Ted recommends, but as I received this info today, I thought it was worth sharing. These comments are clipped from a newsletter I receive from Mayer Eisenstein MD,JD,MPH. Here is the link to his website: http://www.homefirst.com/

Salicylates and Pandemic Influenza Mortality, 1918-1919 Pharmacology, Pathology, and Historic Evidence
Clinical Infectious Diseases 2009;49:000-000
Clinical Infectious Diseases 2009;49:000-000
Karen M. M.D.

The high case fatality rate especially among young adults during the 1918-1919 influenza pandemic is incompletely understood. Although late deaths showed bacterial pneumonia, early deaths exhibited extremely "wet," sometimes hemorrhagic lungs.

The hypothesis presented herein is that aspirin contributed to the incidence and severity of viral pathology, bacterial infection, and death, because physicians of the day were unaware that the regimens (8.0-31.2 g per day) produce levels associated with hyperventilation and pulmonary edema in 33% and 3% of recipients, respectively. Recently, pulmonary edema was found at autopsy in 46% of 26 salicylate intoxicated adults. Experimentally, salicylates increase lung fluid and protein levels and impair mucociliary clearance.

In 1918, the US Surgeon General, the US Navy, and the Journal of the American Medical Association recommended use of aspirin just before the October death spike. If these recommendations were followed, and if pulmonary edema occurred in 3% of persons, a significant proportion of the deaths may be attributable to aspirin.

Dr. Eisenstein's Comments:

This evidence from The British Medical Journal shows that antipyretics such as Tylenol, aspirin (Bufferin, Bayer, Excedrin), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin), ketoprofen (Actron, Orudis), and naproxen (Aleve), should not be given for any type of flu and may be responsible for many of the deaths associated with the H1N1 Flu.

In 1918, the US Surgeon General, the US Navy, and the Journal of the American Medical Association recommended use of aspirin just before the October death spike. This recommendation may have been responsible for a significant proportion of the deaths.

My recommendations:

1. Vitamin D levels greater than 60ng/ml
2. No aspirin, Tylenol, Aleve etc. for fever
3. Lots of fluids and chicken soup
4. And "NO" Swine or Seasonal flu vaccines

I have had, what I believe to be the swine flu. There was just ton's of fluid running down my throat, my ears were congested, and then my lungs were filling up. Taking a lot of vitamin c, I would have a good day and then a bad day.

Allergy medicine didn't help. Although the drainage was like allergies. I couldn't sleep at night because there was so much drainage; I would have to cough to clear my throat and then wake up.

In misery and desperation I tried the aspirin and it helped. I used a brand of powered aspirin here and made a concoction with powered vitamin c.

The really weird thing is this. I had preeclampsia with both of my pregnancies. The reaction I had with this flu was exactly like my preeclampsia. And aspirin is used with preeclampsia.

My theory is that what ever immune or other physical reaction that women have with pre-eclampsia; this swine flu is the same type of reaction.

Better, but not cured. My sinuses started draining on Sunday by Monday I felt like I was coming down with something. I did the aspirin remedy on Monday afternoon and felt better the next day. I started feeling crappy again on Wednesday and did the Aspirin remedy again. I felt good for another couple of days, but then it came back again. I did the aspirin remedy a third time, but I felt like the virus moved down to my chest. I was wheezing and coughing up gunk and it scared me so I started taking penicilin that I had picked up in Mexico. I took 1000 mg every four hours and am finally feeling better as of today (10 days into this virus)

My wife had the same symptoms I did and she took the aspirin remedy and it worked well for her. She took the aspirin remedy as soon as she felt the first symptoms and only took it one day.

I think the key to this remedy is starting it as soon as you get the first sign of a cold. I've learned a lot from this board. Thanks

If you have a virus, why in the world are you taking antibiotics, which are only effective against BACTERIA??? The thing to do when you come down with a virus is to take Vitamin C and Vitamin D-3 in large doses. And the reason you are getting better after 10 days is because that is how long it takes to get over viruses (7 to 10 days), unless you take Vitamin C and Vitamin D-3. If your body stores of Vitamins C and D-3 are low, you can expect to get re-infected by the same virus several times, but unless you have a secondary bacterial infection, antibiotics are worse than useless...they just breed resistant strains in your body.

I just tried the aspirin for flu. I have had coughing, sneezing, stuffy sinus, running nose, fatigue, achyness, watery eyes, and sore throat on and off for a few days. I've been living on vitamin C, ginseng, marshmallow root capsules, activated charcoal, and chicken curry soup for a few days. Initially I misread the bottle of aspirin and took 3 325mg tablets for the first two doses plus one dose of 1,000mg ascorbic acid. Subsequently I took 2 325mg tablets of aspirin. Four doses in all. Also took ACV in some water and vitamin C. All the symptoms are gone except for a stuffy sinus and a hint of cough/sneeze. Taking dose #5... 3 325mg tablets as I weigh considerably more than 120lbs.

After trying the aspirin cure last night the symptoms are much improved. There is still considerable stuffyness, a *tiny* bit of sore throat, and some coughing. The coughing is more productive. The sneezing and watery eyes are gone. Don't know if it is the flu. I weigh considerably more than Ted's 120lb estimation, but taking so much aspirin seemed potentially dangerous. My head was feeling swimmy after taking it. Much much improved though. Thank you, Ted!!

EC: Thank you for pointing this out, Connie!

The maximum dosage of aspirin per day is 4g according to this website: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_maximum_dosage_of_aspirin_per_day

Maximum 4g daily.
Aspirin tablets dispersible 300mg: ADULT, 300-900mg, every 4-6 hours.
CHILD "Do not give to children under 12 years, and avoid up to and including 15 years of age if feverish".

From the Mayo Clinic's website:

Side effects and complications of taking aspirin include:

* Hemorrhagic stroke. While daily aspirin can help prevent a clot-related stroke, it may increase your risk of a bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic stroke).
 * Gastrointestinal bleeding. Daily aspirin use increases your risk of developing a stomach ulcer. And, if you have a bleeding ulcer, taking aspirin will cause it to bleed more, perhaps to a life-threatening extent.
 * Allergic reaction. If you're allergic to aspirin, taking any amount of aspirin can trigger a serious allergic reaction.
 * Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss. Too much aspirin (overdosing) can cause tinnitus and eventual hearing loss in some people.

I'm nervous about the aspirin's blood thinning ability at such a high dose.

This is for Swine Flu Remedies.... Are there any updates from Ted or anyone about the H1N1 or the 2009 virus? What can I do in my daily schedule to stay away from contracting the virus? What kind of hand sanitizer should I make to use everyday to kill the virus on my hands? would a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide with water or vinegar work to kill it and would it kill it upon contact?

Also can BHT be used on a daily basis for preventative measures? and how much in powdered form can I take of it? Thank you

(Bangkok, Thailand)

Dear Qwerty:

Over the past one month, I have been trying to find various cures for Swine flu (2009 virus), Chikungunya, and Dengue fever as it is an epidemic here. Chasing disease isn't easy as I have to run all over Bangkok (people with the disease) and follow up my tests to find a cure. As a result, I was unable to answer many earthclinic emails. Therefore, sorry about my being unable to answer them during that period. However, I have finally got all that is needed for now and finally got some real cures. The word cure is meant from my own personal perspective. Yes, it's my first hand cure for Swine flu (2009) and even Dengue fever to boot, and a good "remedy" for the debilitating arthritis that follows the Chikungunya (using another remedy).

For me it looks more like a cure (and got broke finding them. LOL.) But the solution is very simple! So in this posting I will have several remedies for each one of those during that one month period I was chasing. People may argue it's not a cure. However, I got a 100% cure rate here, at least 30 out of 30 people were cured. So far so good, the numbers keep coming. It takes only one day, or more precisely less than 6 hours to cure it.

In Thailand, we currently have an epidemic running, which is mostly Swine flu (2009 virus), Dengue Fever, and Chikungunya. While it is somewhat of an epidemic, the currently "mainstream" media recognized is the Swine flu 2009 virus or the same Bird flu. It's still H1N1 regardless of the name and to subdue the virus scare, by naming new names to the H1N1. One of the MAJOR problems concerning its cure and my remedies is that Lysine isn't available in Thailand, or is difficult to obtain. BHT is impossible to get for most people. Therefore I have to devise a very simple cure (yes a real cure) using a simple aspirin from and perhaps some vitamin C, if you can get it. Now Thailand in some remote villages vitamin C are harder to get then getting an aspirin.

The idea of using aspirin as a cure for pnemonia, and all kinds of flu, is nothing new. During my studies in microbiology during my college year stint in the U.S., I have noticed that a serial dilution of aspirin virtually dissolves any virus in sight. Fellow students who got lazy sometimes throw aspirin tablets in a shrimp egg hatching facility to kill the shrimp viruses as well. The chemical of aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid. When I say it kills any viruses, this applies for metastatic cancer, which is a viral form of cancer virus. It works the same way using the aspirin too and you can see results in less than 6 hours, using the hourly dose of taken for 4 or 5 times of aspirin.

The acetyl portion makes the salicylic acid "water soluble" as well as it's unique properties in digesting viral or bacterial coating, especially the viral coating (alkaline potassium compound being the other one), that it can come into contact with.

In fact there's an almost 100% kill, more closer to about 99% kill rate when a very weak solutions of aspirin is in contact with any viral coating, and aspirin replenished for the next 3 or 4 hours as it is "used up".

It's the acetyl portion plus the salicylic acid which makes it deadly. It digest these viral proteins thousand times more quicker than it does damage to the healthy cells. Obviously, the aspirin was working better than any antiviral medicines known, so my colleagues mentioned that "they" were going to stop that dreaded practice. (It hurts research funding on novel very expensive but ineffective antiviral medications LOL). Remember at the time of my studies, that was in the late 1970s., so obviously (2009) aspirin is now almost universally condemned.

Because of this, I have to make another trials last month to prove that aspirin does work. It SHOULD be noted that aspirin is effective even if it is taken ALONE. But if you want it to be more effective, a vitamin C sodium ascorbate can be taken on INITIAL dose, being the bare minimum such as 500 mg. This causes the white blood cells to uptake the vitamin C more than it's usual capacity allowing for the body's immune system to go much higher than normal. In any case the simplest of all cure of any flu that I know of regardless of what kind of flu you have is the following remedy:

For adult dose 500 mg of aspirin taken LESS than 1 hour apart, preferably, 50 minutes but not exceeding 1 hour. The dose is taken for no more than 4 times, with maximum of 5 times. I haven't quite work about the optimal frequency between dose to keep active acetylsalicylic acid blood concentration stable so that it's antiviral capabilities at a maximum. So the schedule will look like this:

1st dose first hour 500 mg aspirin
2nd dose second hour
3rd dose third hour
4th dose fourth hour
if it's still there ...
5th dose fifth hour (never happened so far)

You're done! Flu is gone. No more fever. After that you feel like you want to sleep. As a footnote to this "cure". The flu may come back another day, so you stick to this schedule. And then it may come back the third time. However, it RARELY if ever comes back the fourth time and it never came back the fifth time.

Swine flu is like a yo-yo. Whether you cured with or without taking any supplements it comes back on average in "threes". This includes the Dengue fever. However, there's a difference. If it comes back (without taking any supplements) the third time, it is usually deadly, because the body's immune system is completely knocked out, but with the aspirin remedy, or the lysine for example, the severity is reduced with each time so the body's immune system gets stronger instead of weaker.

In case of a person without any supplements, these flu, whether they are Dengue fever or Swine flu or Bird flu causes a "wasting away" disease, a condition where there is dramatic weight loss on the "third wave", such that doctors think it's an AIDS or HIV positive, but is actually a simple Swine Flu virus or just a Dengue fever. I haven't looked into the cure of Hanta viruses yet, so I can't say for that one.

As far as cure rate involved, it works in EVERY case I have tested, which is virtually 100% success rate so far. The reason why it is kept at less than 1 hour is based on observations that both the lysine and aspirin is used up within one hour. It's easy to tell, no fever. The aspirin dose 500 mg is for adult dose typical 120 pound person. A dose is calculated on basis of weight. So a smaller or larger adult is calculated from this. When taking the dose it is REQUIRED that an aspirin is dissolved in a half glass of water completely so it is diluted enough that it won't damage the stomach lining before taking them. The chief reason why aspirin causes ulcers is the tablet form of aspirin is too concentrated. It's the same effect as putting your hands in the sun for about 1 minute or two and you just only feel the warmth of the sun. However, should you use a magnifying glass on your hands, you can easily burn your hands within less than a minute. So by diluting the aspirin, or diluting the sun's ray without magnifying glass, we virtually solve the problems of ulcers from aspirin use.

As a standard warning, people who have problems of inability to tolerate aspirin, probably know anyway, such as Reye's syndrome which should be avoided. Hydrogen peroxide doesn't seem to work as fantastic as lysine or aspirin, perhaps because the vitamin C was needed on top of that, but it does work too.

As another contraindication is a warning of the use of MMS. This is the so called "Miracle Mineral Supplements" which doesn't do much in curing flu in general. It works fine for parasitic flu, but is totally ineffective or worsens the condition if a person happens to have a Dengue fever, Chikungunya or a Swine flu. Some works fine, but overall, it's record in these are best confined to parasitic type disease, such as malaria. MMS doesn't even work, or made the conditions much worse even for a Chlamydia. The reason why I know so much about problems of MMS is my friend a seller of this keeps on selling them and in every case it doesn't work. It works initially but it comes back and you ended up sicker than you were before. However, he continues to make money from the popularity of MMS. Obviously he's making more money than me. Supplement sellers don't really cure you, they just cash in on the wave of popularity. Therefore it is best to avoid MMS for flu.

In most cases the authorities do not recommend aspirin use for people with Dengue fever, Chikungunya, Swine flu making people implies aspirin makes the condition worse, when in fact the only real reason they don't recommend, if you read carefully enough is the issue of Reye's syndrome, which is a genetic condition that doesn't tolerate aspirin use. Most people will know that whether they can tolerate aspirin, penicillin or any other based on their own experience anyway.

One more thing is one of the cure for a debilitating arthritic condition that happens AFTER Chikungunya infection is the use of two remedies, one is the "alkaline flush" the other is the potassium iodide. The alkaline flush basically removes the pain by removing the acid, which is often causes the pain. For an adult dose, I used the alkaline flush remedy as thus: 1/3 teaspoon of potassium carbonate, 1/3 teaspoon of potassium citrate, 1/3 teaspoon of sodium carbonate, 1/3 teaspoon of baking soda, in 1/2 glass of water. It will slowly flush out acid in most parts of the body reducing the pain. It's commonly taken twice a day and is completely gone on the fourth day. However, for some people with a Chikungunya an alkaline flush may not work in which case I have found people with this condition have an "acid saliva" and one of common remedy I used to alkalize the saliva, is often the potassium citrate. However, I have found in many cases this does not alkalize the saliva in 1/2 of the cases, rouglhly. Therefore, I used potassium iodide, because usually an acid saliva is low immunity, so the dose is 1/8 teaspoon of potassium iodide is taken twice a day and usually within a day or two the arthritic chikungunya goes away without the need of taking daily tablets of Vioxx or Celebrex. The dose for potassium iodide, 1/8 teaspoon for example is taken only for 3 or 4 days and you are done. Of course I don't have many Chikungunya people waiting on my doorstep, but that's the best remedy I can come up with during the month and I also luckily caught the Chikungunya disease too, giving me ample opportunity to find a cure from the debilitating arthritic conditions.

As to the questions of other remedies such as White distilled vinegar, hydrogen peroxide use as a cure for the swine flu. The dose is as follows:

1/2 cap of 3% H2O2 plus 1 cap of vinegar, in one liter of drinking water. Drink this every 1/2 glass of water every 45-50 minutes for a total of 5 doses. It should be noted that 500 mg of vitamin C sodium ascorbate, preferably is taken before taking the hydrogen peroxide and vinegar solution. A mixture of hydrogen peroxide and vinegar is called peracetic acid, so it works more strongly than just hydrogen peroxide alone, and hence the hydrogen peroxide is added at a lower dose. The vitamin C will counteract the some of the oxidant effects of peroxide but will still have an effect in killing off the flu never the less, regardless of the kinds of flu. The peroxide, the vinegar solution works also with hemorrhagic fever as it won't cause bleeding, such as the Ebola viruses. The remedy won't work for flesh eating bacteria, where the current standard treatment requires removal of your body tissues in large amounts, which is termed "debridement", but I believe a magnesium form of remedy might work well against these sort of bugs.

As to your questions:
Are there any updates from Ted or anyone about the H1N1 or the 2009 virus?
Yes. More than enough. I just posted that above here. Wish I can post more, but not enough time.

What can I do in my daily schedule to stay away from contracting the virus? What kind of hand sanitizer should I make to use everyday to kill the virus on my hands?

Lysine 600 mg taken three times a day. Or Aspirin twice a day, dissolved in a glass of water. Under BOTH cases 500 mg of vitamin C sodium ascorbate is needed, taken only once a day. Both the lysine and aspirin can be combined, if you feel the virus is too agressive. However in practice, aspirin or lysine, either is fine.

A good hand sanitizer to be used is 1.5% hydrogen peroxide solution, or a 10% potassium iodide is used. Most alcohol gels currently on the market DOESN'T kill the virus. For remote villagers, a 5% aspirin solution is fine. These kill viruses, not the alcohol. Even AIDS viruses survive in acetone and alcohol, with one possible exception of hot boiling alcohol, which is not practical.

would a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide with water or vinegar work to kill it and would it kill it upon contact?

Yes it works fine. See above points.

Also can BHT be used on a daily basis for preventative measures? and how much in powdered form can I take of it?

Yes BHT works quite fine and taken on a daily basis, but the most important ones are the lysine, aspirin and vitamin C. A BHT can be taken at just 250-500 mg, but BHT has to be taken along with the lysine or aspirin also. The BHT prevents the swine flu from becoming deadly and reaching the brain or does the damage.

Most people who do get killed from swine flu and actually went to ICU getting half of their lungs eaten survived on just hourly dose of 600 mg of lysine 24 hours, and taking it continously for a period of a 2 weeks to a month. The most deadly of the swine flu that I do get actually comes from the flu vaccines which are deadly in a matter of hours to days. That's because they inject with live viruses and get activated by the blood once they are injected. Consider yourself getting the swine flu when you do get the mandatory vaccines. However you can make your physician sign a contract so he won't forced you on a vaccination. Enclosed is an attached copy of "Vaccine Warranty".

I am sure I forgot a few things here, but I believe I covered most of the important points. It should be repeated again it takes only less than one day to cure the flu and it may come back two more times on the average, but it rarely comes back again after that. The aspirin is what I called "self immunization", because the aspirin digest the viral proteins so the macrophages can digest them, allowing opportunity for the cells to produce the antibodies needed to neutralize the virus, but it take three self vaccinations to get the body immunized to the swine flu, 2009 viruses, or bird flu. A person MAY have antibodies to fight off the swine flu, but in my experience, the body DOES NOT produce enough antibodies to fight off them because the body is completely overwhelmed with the reproductive capacity of the viruses that all the antibodies are eaten up. What aspirin serves its useful purpose is its ability to reduce the numbers so rapidly that your own limiting number of antibodies can take care of the rest and vitamin C serves as steroids in helping the white blood cells work more effectively on eating up these viruses. So aspirin helps macrophage eat more viral protein needed to produce the antibodies as well as reducing the numbers so they don't get overwhelmed with the numbers versus limiting numbers of antibodies. The lysine seems to be helpful in producing the immune system capabilities too and does reduce the fever. Although the present society never thought the lysine reduces the fever. It does, by raising the body's immune system, the fever is reduced.

Wow, interesting Aspirin cure for Swine Flu. If aspirin kills viruses, then would it perhaps work for the common cold, common flu, as well as any other viral diseases? thx!

If you come down with the flu, how do you know if it's the swine flu or some other flu, and does it make a difference in the treatment? Why is swine flu worse than other flu's? Thank you.

Ted, I want to make sure that I understand your post correctly 500 mg of Aspirin is taken each time you take a does (total of 4 doses) and you should also take the 500 mg of vitamin c sodium ascorbate too? What do you do for preventitive measures for children I have a 2yr old who attends daycare and I want to make sure I keep her from contracting this horrible virus.

Thank you,

The side-effects of aspirin sound a bit scary to self-medicate. Also since it's not recommended for children what is an alternate cure?

Is lysine in the form of protein powder (contains other proteins as well) okay to take or does it have to be in the form of capsule?

For Ann from Bangalore, India & others:

Hello Ann,

I buy l-lysine in tablet form. If swallowing a tablet or capsule is a problem, most tablets can be crushed and stirred in water or juice to get around the problem. If you are having to reduce the dosage for a child, figure out how much to give them before crushing and dissolving it. For example, if you use l gram (l000mgm) tablet in 4 ounces of juice or water, you would have 250 mgm. lysine in each ounce. So a child weighing 75 pounds would get a 2 ounce dose.

Hi Joyce, Thank you for your response. This is actually for my mother, but I haven't been able to find lysine tablets here they are in combination with other vitamins therefore probably not possible to give the dosage Ted has mentioned. I have been giving a protein supplement powder which contains 600mg of lysine per serving. I hope that will work... Also she has high cholesterol; I read lysine increases your cholesterol but I guess short term use is okay. This is her second day of very high fever and no appetite. I don't feel brave enough to try the aspirin cure.

This question is for Ted - my daughter is 17 and has the flu (probably swine although the dr did not test her specifically) she is 5'10 about 135 - she has run fever for about 7 days and had some congestion - we have used ibuprophren/ and otc drug for the congestion - I am not very comfortable with the aspirin regimine for her but was wondering about the h2o2 bath. I just started using 12% - 1/4 tsp to 32 oz of water drinking 4 oz every hr - can I use the 12% diluted as the inhalation for her or should it be something else- also what is the difference between 12% food grade and 35% food grade?

I would NOT recommend the use of aspirin to cure the flu. A fever is the body's natural response to illness - when taking aspirin, you are essentially stopping this response in its tracks, and allowing the virus to multiply throughout your body. The best cure for the flu is to rest and fast. You may be miserable until your fever breaks, but it will be worth it.

I caught the flu from both roommates who had it Friday night. Friday night I had chills and a high fever. I didn't take or eat anything, just drank lots of water. Saturday morning my fever was gone and I felt a lot better, but not 100%. I rested and fasted all day - I wasn't hungry anyway - this is your body telling you "don't eat, I need the energy to heal." Today (Sunday) I woke up at 90%, and expect I will be 100% tomorrow. Today all I feel is a little tired. No fever, no cough, no sore throat. It took me 2 days to get over the flu. My roommates, who took aspirin and everything else, and continued to eat normally, have been suffering from this flu for over 2 weeks now. For both of them, it moved to their lungs and created a cough that lasted a long time. I believe this is because they took aspirin/painkillers and continued to eat instead of letting the body use its best defenses. Trust me - rest and fast! Works like a charm.

Husband cured of swine flu with 1.5 (325 aspirin) dissolved in 1/2 cup of water and 1000 ascorbic acid (capsule) every 50 minutes. He had been sick for a day than decided to try the aspirin and C. After 4 doses he went to bed and 3 hours later said he felt weak but much better. Next day he was able to go to work as usual and was feeling well. This works! his weight is 155lbs. Thank You Ted.

I'm a Chiropractor in Southern Cal, and want to thank you for this treatment. I have had the chance to use it on about 5 individuals myself and have passed it on to other.

For my family, it has worked like a miracle! A couple times I have used it when the symptoms first start and it stops it cold!

On two occasions, I had my adult kids (in 20s) come home with terrible body aches, headache and fever. I got them started with aspirin and vitamin C. After the first hour they start doing much better. By the time I hit the 4th dose, its like a miracle. Be on your guard, because this flu with come back a few times, but the aspirin and vitamin C will get rid of it each time. (325-650 mg aspirin depending on body wt, and 500-1000mg Vitamin C).

I made up a kit of aspirin and vitamin C as well as D3 and put it in a zip-lock bag along with instructions and send it off with my kids if the are off at school or out of town.

The quicker you jump on this treatment, the quicker and better results you will have. If you wait until the fever is full blown, you have a huge viral load to knock down, but it will do it. Be on guard with family and friends and try and start the treatment as soon as it becomes apparent they are getting sick.

God bless Ted and Earth Clinic for your really wonderful help offered the world...you have really made a difference for so many people!

This is in response to David from Huntington Beach, Ca: I agree about the Aspirin and Vitamin C for flu symptoms. My husband used it twice when he was attacked by flu symptoms, along with the Lysine that Ted recommended. He didn't follow the instructions that Ted gave correctly, but it did work. He took 1-1000mg Vitamin C, 1-325mg Aspirin, 1-500mg Lysine, AS SOON AS he felt flu symptoms. The first time, he didn't need to repeat the dose. The second time it happened, (Several weeks later) he had to take these a second time, and as you say, worked like a miracle.

"...Recommended dosages from the Arm and Hammer Company for colds and influenza back in 1925 were:

During the first day take six doses of half teaspoonful of Arm & Hammer Bicarbonate of Soda in glass of cool water, at about two hour intervals.

During the second day take four doses of half teaspoonful of Arm and Hammer Bicarbonate of Soda in glass of cool water, at the same intervals.
