Effective Natural Remedies for H. Pylori: Herbal and Dietary Solutions

Several months ago, I became seriously ill. My stomach was upset at all times, leading to vomiting and diarrhea some of those times. It was determined that I had an h. pylori infection. Now, I have a general mistrust of doctors. They seem to know a lot about pills and surgery but very little about achieving and maintaining health without surgery or hard medicine. For this reason, the common proton pump inhibitor/antibiotic method was not appealing to me.

It has now been one week since I began my own remedies, and I am feeling better than I have in some time. I am sharing my daily regimen, so the work put in will help someone else.

Every day I drink apple cider vinegar. 2 teaspoons mixed with 8 ounces of water 2-3 times daily. In addition, I take 4000 mg's of coconut milk in pill form. I also take 2 DGL pills every day, and finally probiotics, 50 billion cfu's with live cultures. It is very important to ensure that you are guaranteed live organisms no matter what brand you buy. Also, please make sure that you buy the apple cider vinegar that is brown with "cobwebs" floating inside. The cobwebs are enzymes and called "mother". The clear apple cider vinegar without mother, has next to no health benefits. Okay, that's it. Again, this regimen has helped me feel better in about a week. I am still not 100%, but I will update all of you on my progress, and any changes to this regime.

Antibiotics, Bismuth

H pylori - I suffered with this for twenty plus years. My weight was under 100 pounds and I could not keep a meal down. In the beginning no one knew what it was...then in 1983 my doctor did put me on an antibiotic and bismuth tablet three times a day for 30 days, after doing an endoscopy. It worked and I have never had it return. All tests have confirm that it has never returned.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Water

I have been having heartburn and abdominal pain almost every day for the past 6 years. I have tried Prilosec/tums/mylanta etc but they provide only temporary relief. I have mostly stopped all that especially prilosec. I have been reading the posts from this site. And I decided to take matters into my hands with some decent success.

1) Water : I started drinking around 8 glasses of water per day. A couple of days later, I can observe a significant improvement. Except for frequenting the bathroom, this is a must for everyone who is concerned about digestive health.

2) ACV: I take a tablespoon of Organic ACV with the mother before going to bed. This mostly took care of all my sleep issues.

Besides the above, I have cut my coffee and limited spicy food intake and added yoghurt to my lunch which also helps.

Now I am not saying my ulcer/h.pylori has been cured. But the associated symptoms/pain have been vastly reduced just from the above two solutions alone.

Manuka Honey

I first tried Pine Nut Oil. It gave me some relief, but not satisfied I decided to try manuka honey since doctors were not paying attention to the problem and was told to take meds for the rest of my life. I bought the Manuka Honey ___ ___ and after a few days my pains went away and I was able to eat again. Since then I have been good. I took the honey for 1 month, and I only take it once in a while now. A good diet is also recommended since certain foods will also make the condition worse. Every body is different so this migth not work on all, but i'm glad I tried the honey. Other brands did not do what Manuka did for me.

H2O2 cured H. Pylori (bacteria)

I used 3-5 drops of hydrogen peroxide in 8 oz. distilled water. First day 3 drops, then the next day i used 5 drops. The third day bacteria passed through my colon with a splash of blood. Simple and amazing!

This remedy worked well! I have been using it for 2 weeks and continue to feel the improvements in overall digestive health. Most days, it has completely stopped my gas problem, bloating is gone, and bowel movements are frequent and healthy. I was a practicing alcoholic who had not gone more than a week without drinking for 3 years, so my digestive system was under a lot of stress, and this rebalancing remedy helped me along tremendously during my path to recovery. I drink up to 4 oz of Aloe Vera Juice, and just pay attention to bowel movements as a que to the right consumption levels. My diet is high in lean protein, fiber, greens, and essential fatty acids to combat inflamation. People say I look ten years younger since I started, and I am only 27.

To totally eradicate H. Pyroli and kill it off within a month - take a dessert spooonful of Manuka Honey UMF 10+ or higher (it goes up to 20+) before meals 3 times and and a spoonful before you go to bed at night. This honey (made from Bees in NZ who feed on the tea tree bushes) has antibacterial, antibiotic, antifungal, antiinflamatory properties and can cure most stomach problems such as Barrets oesephogus, gastritus and stomach ulcers. It can also be used on bed sores and mrsa wounds. Look it up on the internet to see how it has worked for lots other people. Hospitals in UK and Australia are using it to cure MRSA wounds and ulcers on legs, etc. Good Luck!

Dietary Changes

Here is what helped me with my H Pylori. I hope it helps others.

After being told I would have to live on antacids, I thought this is not the way to live.I noticed the food I ate was the culprit and caused great disomfort. I also noticed if I was stressed or tired, I also increased my stomach discomfort and pain. After a lot of trial and error, I found the best thing you can do is, eat a diet with a PH balance higher in Alakaline. A simple thing like and apple settled my stomach even in the middle of the night.I looked up which foods contain acids and which ones where alkaline. I bought a ph test paper at a local health store to determine what my PH level was. This test will determine if you are too acidic. If you are too acidic you will have have a low PH under 7.0. When the Ph balance is over 7.0 or higher you will notice your stomach pain is relieved. I have no stomach pain when mine is 7.5, but if it goes lower because of stress or the wrong food I eat.

My advice is to look up acidic and alkaline food groups, buy the ph test paper and hopefully you will see it will help your life too.

here is another cure, I was diagnosed in March, I knew about hpylori because I had done some study on it because my b12 ran low all the time. well the doctors gave me the same stuff the triple threat, that is what I call it and it was depleting my potassium so I went to find natural and came across this website about pine nut oil and I used that and it worked wonderful, but it is a little pricey, so I went to the health food store and got me some aloe vera juice and I already had the oil of oregano so I mix these two together and drink them and I have seen a difference. it takes awhile but it works. I really like the pine nut oil jut couldn't keep it up and where I live, they do not sell it in the health food stores here.

Apple Cider Vinegar WORKS! I have suffered from constipation, weight loss, cramping and bloating for about 5 years. Recently I had some lab work done and discovered that I have h.pylori. The doctor immediately prescribed me antibiotics. I have never been a pill popper,so I investigated other natural remedies thanks to my chemistry professor. He suggested ACV 2tbsp. before bed, 2 ozs. of aloe vera juice throughout the day & fresh warm lemon water in the am. After 1 day I saw the change in my bowel movements and my over all well being. I have noticed that I have shed 3lbs, but i know that was most of the toxins and impurities. I feel alot better overall. This is an amazing informative website.

Light Meals After 4pm

I have suffered from h pylori and night time was the most terrible experience because I could not sleep with the constant irritation of my stomach. I have been taking lots of ginger, garlic, tumeric, cabbage juice, brocholi sprouts, plenty water, probiotics. I have to eat lightly and the most important thing is not to eat any heavy food at night or I won't get to sleep. I therefore eliminate all processed foods - have lots of raw veg salads and light fish. What I discovered eliminated the night discomfort for me was just having watermelon or light fruit after 4 pm - nothing hard to digest. It allows the stomach to heal overnight as the stomach does not have to pump out a lot of acid when you just eat fruit. I started sleeping better, pain went away and I woke up feeling refreshed. I now do not have symptoms. AT night the stomach does NOT want to be digesting heavy food. Sip on teas made from tumeric, ginger, liquorice. When you get enough rest your body will be able to fight the bug.

Keep Your pH Alkaline
Posted by Howaurayou (Las Vegas, NV) on 04/28/2009

If you have or are suffering from H pylori or just gastric stomach, go to any health food store and get PH paper. The paper dipped in your urine will let you know your PH level. If you are below 7.0, you will notice that is when your stomach will be at its worse. During these times, it is best to eat foods that are alkaline and not acidic. If you are like me, you will see there are foods that are acidic that you have been eating, and causing your stomach to feel even worse. If your body show a PH level below the norm of 7.0 eat foods like apples. When my stomach starts to feel this way one apple usually tones it down and even eliminates the pain and discomfort. It took me a few days of testing my PH levels and eating foods from the the Alakaline group. If you keep your food intake at 70% alkaline and 30 acidic, your PH will return to normal. I feel best when my PH is at 7.5. You may find you need it higher. The best place to look for an alkaline and acidic list of food groups, is to look it up on the internet. It will not cure your H Pylori, but it does make you feel like it is gone if you watch what you eat. Good luck and good health.

Can't seem to kill H-Pylori... I tried the Matula tea and it did nothing. I re-tested and it was still positive, had a very hard time getting my money back. I tried the Mastic Gum, Broccoli sprouts, Cayene Peper. Nothing has helped and I refuse to take those antiboitics, they make me sick. There has to be something out there that helps. I take pro-biotics, cinnamon, ginger. I am at a loss, even tried cranberries. I don't understand why they can't find something else to cure this stubborn bug.

myrrh cured my sore throat. h pylori infection was diagnosed recently, high recommendations were given to consume fresh ginger juice daily, multi drug therapy will not always eradicate infection completely, well ginger is natural source.

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I have been diagnosed three times with H. pylori over the last eight years, and I am experiencing the symptoms of a fourth outbreak currently. I am reluctant at this point, however, to go back and get tested because the outcome is a fairly awful regimen of antibiotics and all sorts of other stuff. I do get tested afterwards and am negative, but I am wondering if I am just knocking the H. pylori down to a level that is below the threshold of detection. This regimen of medicines usually feels worse than the H. pylori symptoms, and help for awhile, but it always comes back. Does anyone else have this history of repeated outbreaks? I have also tried ACV or baking soda, because it seems like I have widely varying pH levels in my system, not just a basic or acidic system. I can usually tell which one I need- ACV when it feels like I am not digesting well, and baking soda when I have bad gas. I also reduce the amount of protein in my diet because I find it hard to digest, and as I get more symptomatic, I eat less and less in general and only mild stuff.

Matula Tea

I am a nurse, and about a year ago I was seriously ill. The doctors did every test... then blood test which tested positive for H-pylori... I was soooo desperate for a cure... because I could not tolerate the "standard" treatment of antibiotics, antacids; I turned to the internet and found Matula Tea... it saved my life. You have to understand this nasty bacteria had me bedbound for 6 weeks... with one 2 day stay in the hospital for dehydration. After one month of taking the tea, I was tested again and no sign of H-Pylori. I started to feel "Alive"again.

But here I am yet again with the bacteria. I believe I know the source now, because people too can be carriers of this disease with no symptoms. Well this time I decided to try the "Standard treatment" and had a severe allergic reation to the antibiotics, and still have H-pylori positive. I have learned my lesson, I am ordering Matula Tea once again, and the person who I believe infected me is to be tested and treated.
