Manuka Honey, Cayenne
Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria that can infect the stomach and lead to various gastrointestinal issues. While medical treatment is often necessary, many people seek natural remedies for H. Pylori to complement traditional therapies. This article delves into effective herbal treatments, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes that can help manage H. Pylori infection.

Herbal Remedies for H. Pylori

  1. Licorice Root: Studies suggest that licorice root has antimicrobial properties that can be effective against H. Pylori. It's recommended to consume licorice in a deglycyrrhizinated form to avoid potential side effects.
  2. Green Tea: Rich in antioxidants, green tea is known for its antibacterial qualities. Drinking green tea regularly may help reduce the bacterial load in individuals infected with H. Pylori.
  3. Mastic Gum: Extracted from the Pistacia lentiscus tree, mastic gum has been traditionally used for gastrointestinal ailments. Research indicates its potential in inhibiting H. Pylori growth.
  4. Probiotics: Incorporating probiotics into your diet, through yogurt or supplements, can help restore gut flora balance and might assist in combating H. Pylori.

Dietary Changes for H. Pylori

  1. Broccoli Sprouts: High in sulforaphane, broccoli sprouts have shown promise in reducing H. Pylori colonization.
  2. Garlic: Garlic's antimicrobial properties can be beneficial against H. Pylori, especially when consumed raw or in a minimally processed form.
  3. Honey: Manuka honey, in particular, has demonstrated antimicrobial effects against H. Pylori.
  4. Vitamin C-rich Foods: Consuming foods high in vitamin C, like citrus fruits and bell peppers, may inhibit H. Pylori growth.

Lifestyle Adjustments for H. Pylori

  1. Stress Management: Stress can exacerbate H. Pylori symptoms. Techniques like yoga, meditation, and regular exercise can be helpful.
  2. Adequate Sleep: Ensuring sufficient sleep each night supports overall immune function, which can be beneficial in fighting H. Pylori.
  3. Avoiding Irritants: Limiting intake of irritants like caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods can reduce stomach discomfort associated with H. Pylori.

Conclusion

While natural remedies for H. Pylori can be beneficial, consulting with a healthcare professional is crucial before starting any new treatment. These remedies should complement, not replace, conventional medical treatments for H. Pylori. With the right combination of herbal remedies, dietary changes, and lifestyle adjustments, managing H. Pylori can be more holistic and effective.

I hope my post helps someone. I had Helicobacter Pylori for almost 2years, I am not sure how I picked up although I do suspect it may have been at the nursing home where I spent many days with my mother before she passed. Anyway after 3 failed rounds of antibiotics I resorted to antibiotics which they used to give H, Pylori patients back in the late 70's made up at a compound chemist, you take 17 antibiotics and acid lowering drugs per day. I made it through one day and had a bad reaction which resulted in a migraine for 1 week. After I recovered, I tried to accept there was nothing I could do and live with it (as one doctor told me), so I went home depressed and feeling sorry for myself.

Then I thought I don't have to accept this I wasn't born with it so I can get rid of it. Long story short I started taking Acidophilus "I.... H..... " sold here in Australia the dosage is 1 per day but I took 5 - 6 per day for the first week then alternated between 1 - 4 after that (Please note this is the dosage I took I am not suggesting that you take that many) its what you feel comfortable with. Then I took VCO (virgin coconut oil), the dosage varied from 1 teaspoon 3 x times a day to sometimes just 1 or 2 tablespoons the trick is to be consistant and take it every day no matter what dosage. I also took ACV with the mother regulary at first then every other day. And I am happy to say I cured it I no longer have Helicobacter Pylori, I have been tested and it came back negative and you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. If you have had no luck with antibiotics don't give up- this way may take a little longer but it was worth it. PS. I still take Acidophilus every day (1per day) and the occaional VCO & ACV.

H pylori - I suffered with this for twenty plus years. My weight was under 100 pounds and I could not keep a meal down. In the beginning no one knew what it was...then in 1983 my doctor did put me on an antibiotic and bismuth tablet three times a day for 30 days, after doing an endoscopy. It worked and I have never had it return. All tests have confirm that it has never returned.

Apple Cider Vinegar WORKS! I have suffered from constipation, weight loss, cramping and bloating for about 5 years. Recently I had some lab work done and discovered that I have h.pylori. The doctor immediately prescribed me antibiotics. I have never been a pill popper,so I investigated other natural remedies thanks to my chemistry professor. He suggested ACV 2tbsp. before bed, 2 ozs. of aloe vera juice throughout the day & fresh warm lemon water in the am. After 1 day I saw the change in my bowel movements and my over all well being. I have noticed that I have shed 3lbs, but i know that was most of the toxins and impurities. I feel alot better overall. This is an amazing informative website.

This remedy worked well! I have been using it for 2 weeks and continue to feel the improvements in overall digestive health. Most days, it has completely stopped my gas problem, bloating is gone, and bowel movements are frequent and healthy. I was a practicing alcoholic who had not gone more than a week without drinking for 3 years, so my digestive system was under a lot of stress, and this rebalancing remedy helped me along tremendously during my path to recovery. I drink up to 4 oz of Aloe Vera Juice, and just pay attention to bowel movements as a que to the right consumption levels. My diet is high in lean protein, fiber, greens, and essential fatty acids to combat inflamation. People say I look ten years younger since I started, and I am only 27.

I've been diagnosed with H.Pylori a while ago and refused to see the doctor after one round of unhelpful antibiotics. My stomach would sometimes bleed a little. I could detect it from my saliva and stools. But it wasn't a big deal. Last week, I was trying to finish my dissertation and was really stressed. My stomach started bleeding constantly so I figured it probably turned into an ulcer, though I don't know the exact diagnosis. I started using ACV+baking soda (which had cured my acid reflux and stomach problems previously for 8 months but had then stopped working) along with Cayenne Pepper. I mix all of them in a bit of water and take it on an empty stomach. Within a day or two my bleeding stopped and I generally feel an increased sense of well-being. Thank you EC, and thank God for natural remedies.

I too have suffered from h pylori for some time now. The dr prescribed a shitload of meds that made me feel worse...nausea, loss of appetite, extreme weight loss, low energy.. The worse part was the antibiotics didnt even help. Refusing to put myself through that again, I read through all these comments and came up with what worked for me. All the ingredidents I found from my local food store. First it is vital that you switch up your diet. Anything made in a factory, dont put it in your mouth.. I elimiate all processed foods, refined sugars, meats, dairy, harmful fats. Basically my diet is organic, vegan. our bodies have the power to heal itself, I truly belive that. Everyday I follow the same regime, and now I have no symptoms, my energy is back, my appetite is back, and I saw results in ONE day!!!! Here is my regime as follows:

Everyday I swallow a teaspoon full of VCO(virgin coconut oil), ACV(apple cidar vinegar), and Manuka Honey (it costs about $50) 3 times a day. I sip licorice tea with ginger w manuka honey (for taste), 2 times a day, a take a probiotic twice aday, and a multivitamin

My diet is lots of green veggies, and fruits, tofu, assorted nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds) and lots of water.

Im not exaggerating when I tell you how amazing I feel thus far, even after the first day, my family was amazed the transition I made. So throw out those meds and put some good ol mother earth back in your bodies and heal yourself!

It's easier than you think....Have a cup of tea or glass of something with a little flavor ready...melt the oil down, put the spoon as far back towards the throat & quickly sip the tea. You will get used to it, and worth it! Good Luck & keep healing!

I have been having heartburn and abdominal pain almost every day for the past 6 years. I have tried Prilosec/tums/mylanta etc but they provide only temporary relief. I have mostly stopped all that especially prilosec. I have been reading the posts from this site. And I decided to take matters into my hands with some decent success.

1) Water : I started drinking around 8 glasses of water per day. A couple of days later, I can observe a significant improvement. Except for frequenting the bathroom, this is a must for everyone who is concerned about digestive health.

2) ACV: I take a tablespoon of Organic ACV with the mother before going to bed. This mostly took care of all my sleep issues.

Besides the above, I have cut my coffee and limited spicy food intake and added yoghurt to my lunch which also helps.

Now I am not saying my ulcer/h.pylori has been cured. But the associated symptoms/pain have been vastly reduced just from the above two solutions alone.

Avoid Pepto Bismol

Just finished reading a couple of posts regardingcuring H. Pylori....Very interesting. My husband has been suffering for over a year....antibiotics have done nothing. He too was told to add Pepto .....a word to aspirin sensitive folks. Don't do it....We were not aware at the time that Pepto contains so much sodium...about 15% we were told.Caused my husband to spend 48 hours of very painful bloated down time.....This after only 4 doses alongwith his prescribed drugs. I think at this pointwe will try small doses of bicarb of soda and some turmeric on some of his food....along with some of the other spices and see if he gets any relief. The distention of his abdomen and stomach along with the pain are the hardest for him....Very uncomfortable....

The distention will be helped with the bicarbonate remedy. The problem about the Pepto is the bismuth. It is a heavy metal. If fluid retention is causing problems alpha lipoic acid supplements and green tea (no sugar no milk) will reduce it too. Pomegranate fruits are also very diuretic, if I happen to take a couple of REAL fruits, not the juice, to reduce the water retention, in case there is one. H. Pylori may also reduced with tannin rich green tea too. Zinc gluoconate sometimes help kill the H. Pylori too, but only if they are chewed I believe.

Broccoli also helped reduce my Hpylori problem, although so have several other things. Broccoli worked in the same day for me too. BUT if you really cook it for a long time, it doesn't help. Just boil it really quick to get rid of any bacteria it may harbor (you never know what the people picking it are like). It should be BRIGHT NEON-ISH GREEN when you eat it. Don't boil or steam for over two minutes. In most cases 30seconds to a minute is just fine, maybe even less than that is needed. It should still be CRUNCHY when you eat it as well. If it is cooked to much it will not help you at all.

Yes, thank you all you guys for sharing this truth that broccoli really cures H Pylori without any surgeries performed! My daugther of 14 years old was suffering from severe H P for 7 days. All medicine didn't cure it. Almost gave up. Then she tried your broccoli method and it works almost instantly! While eating it, she felt the pain just gone almost instantly! After eating the broccoli for the rest of the day, she was cured within that day itself!!!! Our entire family have been eating more broccoli since then to kill all bacteria in the stomach and body. Now even scientists say broccoli can cure cancer, not just prevent it. So guys, please eat more broccoli.

Hello,

what kind of portion of broccoli should be eaten daily for H. Pylori, how often daily and for what length off time, thanks?

Dear Norma,

Try having a normal sized portion of broccoli (1/2-1 cup), lightly steamed once or twice a day. Too much broccoli, especially if you are not used to it, can cause digestive distress.

For H. Pylori broccoli juice cured my daughter. She went to the hospital about 3 times in one month. She could not keep anything down. I took a stalk of broccoli to her on her sick bed. She felt great within 10 minutes. She has been better since.

What about the use of eating 3 1/2 ounces of broccoli sprouts a day for at least 8 weeks to kill off the H. pylori. A study was done at Johns Hopkins saying it even eradicated H. pylori that was antibiotic resistant? I have been putting it in the blender with fresh carrot juice, fresh cabbage and drinking it twice a day..I am also taking NAC twice a day..Anybody else tried this?

Someone posted this cure for h pylori on Earthclinic but I can't find it now. I took 3 capsules daily, 40,000 H.U. (450mg) for 2 months with and without food. I still suffered with pain for the first week but since then, I have not had any pain. What a wonderful relief.

The natural cure for h pylori infection is cayenne pepper capsules between 500-1000 mg a day usually one or two capsules for 30 days and the cayenne needs to have a heat value of 90,000 btu's or greater. Works every time!

Hi All,

I feel happy to tell all out there suffering from H-Pylori that its naturally treatable!

please do not get scared or feel depressed by this infection and its presence. I know its hard to say but here is my own experience with fighting H-pylori with all natural way. We dont have to rely on antibiotics which are not even sure 100% to treat it. They subside the infection but do not kill it completely in many cases. I was also reported infected with H-pylori and doctor gave me antibiotics. After just three months I retested positive again! Of course I too become depressed by seeing myself in such a recurring mode. But decided to fight this bacteria with natural ways.

I started taking two spoons extra virgin coldpressed Coconut oil three times a day for a week. After two weeks I increased the intake to three table spoons three times a day empty stomach or one hour before food. I really thanks God for such a miracle food, that it completely disappear all my symptoms in just 2 days!

I am still on the treatment continuation and will update as I will complete two months and get it retested. But looking at the positive and remarkable cure in myself I am sure I will retest negative.

So all out there, dont loose hope and be happy that universe has solutions to all our problems. We just need to try it. Its completely safe. May be some individuals have to start taking coconut oil slowly as it can loosen the bowel. But its still part of detoxification.

I wish you all super health.

Thanks, Shweta

I've had problems with H. Pylori due to multiple overseas tours. Got it in Iraq in 2006, had it untreated for a couple of years and then a doctor friend who had also been over there told me to get checked for h. Pylori. Sure enough, there it was. Went on antibiotics for a month and it went away. My symptoms were frequent, multiple attacks of almost purely liquid diarrhea, no matter what I ate. After raw/pure foods like sushi, it was less than 20 minutes between eating and elimination. Probably got it again last year in either Iraq or Afg. It's gotten really bad again, with frequent, uncontrollable, and watery eliminations. Between four and six a night after eating. My wife was telling me to go to the doctor, but I wanted to beat it naturally and I, like many of you, hate antibiotics.

Saw someone talking about coconut oil. I always have some on standby. The kind I used was unrefined, cold-pressed, whole kernel. Two nights ago, before eating dinner (I fast about 16 hours every day), I scooped about 1.5-2 tablespoons of coconut oil into my mouth and ate it. I had my first solid elimination in I can't remember how long. I make sure to have a large scoop every day before breaking my fast, and I haven't had a problem since. I am so happy. To all sufferers out there, I'm telling you, this is the cure. No meds, no big pharma, just good old fashioned Mother Nature. Don't be afraid to have too much. Organic coconut oil is a miracle food. Just take a big dumb scoop before you eat. Thank you for this site.

I have H. Pylori and I hate taking medications as well. I tried some of my sister's pure virgin coconut oil for it and it improved, not only that, but I felt healthier and light on my feet. I really liked your testimony (story) about PVCO. I have also read many good things about it. I am actually going to buy a container of it again tomorrow after reading your story. :)
