They say if something good happens to you, you have to pay it forward. That's the reason for me writing this review, so that others can benefit from it. Yes, Apple Cider vinegar works. I was hesitant at first but I can't afford the very expensive procedure that the doctor is asking from me (some doctors these days will just leech your money and have already forgotten their Hippocratic oath. It's sad but it's true). The good news is that ACV costs a mere fraction of what doctors are requiring. And you can save yourself from the humiliation because it's readily available at the grocery.
Here are the procedures I did:
- Pour Hydrogen Peroxide to the affected area for disenfection.
- Dab a Qtip with ACV (get one with "the Mother", just enough that it won't leak to unaffected areas. Hold it down to the wart. Be careful not to touch healthy skin for it will also burn. During the first day, I didn't feel any sting yet but the wart will turn white. Press on the wart for 10 to 15 minutes.
- After pressing on the wart with ACV, pour Hydrogen peroxide again to keep it bacteria free.
- Do this procedure twice a day. Once in the morning and again in the evening. The sting will begin when the skin is already burned and open by ACV. Just tolerate it for it is bearable. Better endure it than being miserable.
- When the wart turns grey or black, it means it is dead. Stop the ACV treatment. For me it just took 3 days because mine was just small ones (not bigger than pieces of rock salt).
- Now you will start to heal the burned skin. It will leave a white open wound.
- Pour Hydrogen Peroxide to the wound. Then wipe it dry with a tissue paper.
- Massage the wound with Virgin Coconut Oil twice a day. Leave it after massaging, don't wipe it dry. Believe me, Virgin Coconut oil is also a God send because when I woke up one day it already healed the wound as if nothing happened. I think it only took 3 days after I stopped the ACV and started the VCO treatment when it healed.
That's it. It is quick, inexpensive and it works! I hope this helps someone who is as devastated as I was when I realized I got these warts. But cheer up, God and mother nature also sent some magic.
If you're reading this, I'm going to assume you're either afraid, uncomfortable, embarrassed, in pain, or all of the above. Let me start by saying that this is only temporary. It will get better, I promise that.
Where to begin... about seven months ago I visited the doctor to get what I thought were hemmiroids checked out, because the over the counter stuff wasn't doing anything..and I'd been dealing with intense itching in my ass for at least six months prior. I was expecting them to give me some prescription strength cream, but was horrified when the doctor told me I have anal genital warts (a form of hpv).
After seeing another doctor who prescribed me some basic anti itch cream that did absolutely nothing, I saw a dermatologist. Now here is where things got extremely painful. They prescribed me Podofilox to be applied with a Q tip. Not only did it burn like HELL to the touch, but it made bowel movements feel like Freddy Kruger's sharpened knife hands coming out of my ass. This made me scared to eat anything, I felt so alone. It hurt to stand up, sit down, to walk, to turn over in bed. I had to tell all my co workers because I couldn't skip work but had to explain why I was having trouble moving around. A LOT of people now know of my condition, it was impossible to hide. The embarrassment is nothing compared to the physical pain I endured. Avoid Podofolix at all cost, at least in the anus. It's not worth it. It might get rid of those itchy fuckers eventually, but you might as well just take a flame thrower to your ass
Also, I should include that I have used Vidarox, and Veregen...neither produced any positive results for me. If anything it may have made it worse.
Here's the first thing that (sort of) worked for me:(but I'd recommend the second option I'm about to explain)
So then I found apple cider vinegar. This stuff BURNS, it's intense, you might cry. If you can see the warts and easily count them, I'd recommend soaking a q tip in vinegar (organic ACV with the mother, don't mess with non organic) and dab them individually every hour or two. Now most people don't have time to do that, and find a mirror to see what you're doing is difficult when you're not home. I sure didn't. A better option would be to buy cotton rounds, soak it in ACV, and wedge it between your ass cheeks. This was way too painful for me so I took a glass, poured about a teaspoon of ACV, then about three or four teaspoons water. The pad should look mostly white with a hint of red. Keep this pad in for as long as you can stand it. You might have to start with only ten minutes, eventually try and leave it in for six hours, or before bed. It's going to burn, but it will eventually bring you some relief. Now unfortunately, this helped me get through the day, AND it did clear up now and then...but it was not the answer for me. The warts kept coming back I was devastated, sad, and terrified.
...BUT THERE IS HOPE
HERE IS WHAT WORKED:
First, buy a bottle of generic Asprin (the kind you can crush easily). Crush 40 (that's right FORTY) Asprin and put them in a Tupperware container or something that can be kept air tight. Now add a teaspoon and a half of castor oil into the crushed Asprin and stir it. Then add a teaspoon and a half of apple cider vinegar (or a little more if you are brave and want to speed up the process) now mix that entire mixture until it has the consistency of toothpaste. Wash hands with soap and water and apply to warts. Mine were EVERYWHERE around the anus so I just slathered that entire area. It will burn, and remember, most the time, if it burns...it's a wart the burning should fade to a sting you can tolerate. Keep this mixture on throughout the day, if you feel an itch coming on, just apply more mixture as needed. Wash off at night with water and HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. Use your round cotton pads to gently wash off the mixture and apply the peroxide before washing off. DO NOT us normal soap, even cetaphil made me break out.
Now you might start to get scared, when you noticed all the warts have turned white and it appears that 30 more warts have just popped up. This is a good sign, it means the medicine is pulling the virus out of your body. The little new white bumps will be the first to fall off, don't be alarmed.
Now here's a VERY IMPORTANT STEP that I wish I knew sooner. After about the second, third or fourth day of using your new favorite paste, when washing the area in the shower, you need to EXFOLIATE. Take a toothbrush that has never been used, (and hopefully never used again in your mouth LOL) and gently brush the area. With clean hands, feel around down there and pick out the dead skin that should be coming off by now. Let it go down the drain. This was the happiest moment I had in weeks, seeing the skin that had once given me so much trouble, go down the drain.
Now you might be left with extremely red, burnt skin. After shower, apply neosporin to area. You may want to spend the next day or two only using neosporin and spot treat any wart tissue that's still bothering you with ACV and a Q tip.
VITAMINS: take 100 mg of Zinc tablets
Lots of vitamin C
stop smoking or smoke less
Drink lots of water
take a daily vitamin
eat lots of vegetables
limit alcohol use
exercise if you are not in too much pain
wipe with wet wipes ONLY (non scented)
aloe Vera will be your best friend after taking a shit (make sure it's pure aloe Vera without artificial colors and stuff, I learned the hard way and broke out)
I'm Sure this isn't over for me yet, but I felt compelled to write this seeing as tho other people's submissions helped me so much. Good luck in your journey, it gets better, I promise. Stay strong, it gets better <3
I found out I have HPV last June. However, I was feeling the lesions already as early as May but didn't think much of it. I slept with my guy one time without protection in March and by April I started feeling itchy inside my vagina. By May the lesions appeared by the opening near the perineum and there were more inside when my OB-Gyne looked in June. These were cauliflower like ones! I was dealing with Bartholin cyst gland issue (another long suffering recurring issue) at the same time so when I scheduled for the operation to remove both gland and cyst, my doctor did the electrocautery to remove the warts as well. That worked well, I don't think I have warts inside me anymore (but I have to ask my doctor to check again. The outside is another matter. During my post-surgery recovery, I started feeling a slight pain-like a paper cut somewhere down there but I couldn't figure out where exactly it was. I didn't mind it but then a week later while washing, I felt a bump at the edge of my vagina by the perineum. It felt like a rice/oat grain and after that some slight discharge from inside. I think the discharge was because of the antibiotics I was taking post-op so I was pretty sure I had a fungal infection.
So I went to the doctor and he said I have GW again but he gave me a vaginal suppository first. He wante to clear that up first to see if the gw will clear up too. Otherwise, he said he would need to put me under and cauterize again. The fungal infection disappeared but I couldn't leave the GW to just sit there and spread. I also don't want to do the cautery as it is not covered by my work medical insurance and no, I don't want to go under with general anesthesia again (last time I was throwing up for a day).
I researched online and read all your testimonials here. For a week I was using castor oil and tea tree oil but that seemed not to work. So I bought ACV with the mother. On a Friday, I did the test and found out other areas that has GW as these turned white. There where 15 all in all but some where not raised skins and mostly small dots. There were around 7 lesions (not cauliflower) and the rest were still under the skin. I focused on the biggest and visible which were the oat grain-sized one and the raised small lesions on my labia majora and pubic hair area.
Soaked a cotton pad with ACV and squeezed it in my perineum and tried to tape up the rest but they didn't stick so I have to resort to soaking a panty liner (not recommended as this also burned healthy tissue). I left it over overnight, did the same the next day and that night. By Sunday my skin was raw but I saw that the smaller lesions were black, but the oat-grain one was grey. I did the same on Sunday night but couldn't stand the pain and rawness as healthy skin was also burned off and those gw near these areas were also getting burned and my labia was so swollen. I had to remove it after an hour. I decided to put castor oil and tea tree oil for the rest of the week instead while I let the swollen areas heal. I also got my period but that didn't stop me.
By Tuesday as I was washing in the shower, I saw an oat grain shape on the floor. I just had to pick it up and it was the biggest gw that fell off! I double checked by feeling down there with my finger and true enough! I was soooo happy. The smaller lesions where also falling off leaving very pink skin. The burned healthy areas were also pink but more swollen. I kept applying castor and tea tree and alternating it with aloe vera. I just slather it everywhere, making sure I used different cotton pads per area. So anyway, by Friday, I felt less swollen so I looked at my perineum and there was white dry uneven skin there. I am not sure if it was GW but I applied Apple Cider Vinegar again overnight to Sunday alternating with tea tree and castor and aloe to make sure I don't get burned again. I also checked other areas that would turn white and the end of both labia near the vagina did. So I applied Apple Cider Vinegar there with qtips for 30m til they burned and slathered it with castor/tea tree or aloe after. After two days the white/grey skin in my perineum started falling off and the normal skin appeared. The inside of my vagina near the perineum is a bit swollen so I made sure I put castor/tea tree or aloe in those areas as well. The ones in my labias are still raw and looks burned white and itchy but not sure if I killed the gw there so I still put a qtip mixed with castor/tea tree/acv so it's not too painful. It's already Wednesday, I'm still slathering tea tree/castor or aloe (for aloe - I dry it up with a blow dryer or I just wear a pair of light shorts no underwear at home cos you don't want it to be too moist down there as gw thrive in moist areas) all over my vagina, perineum and even butt. The deeper part of my perineum and the edge of my labia still itch from time to time so I make sure it is clean so I douse with with hydrogen peroxide castor/tea tree or aloe after. I also mix acv/ castor/tea tree or just castor/tea tree if it is really itchy cos I don't want those little unwanted friends surprising me again.
Btw, every time I wash my vagina with soap and warm water, I make sure I follow up with hydrogen peroxide. It bubbles and you'll see which are still infected. Right now nothing bubbles up anymore but still itch sometimes.
It has been almost 2 weeks but two weeks of patience and keeping at it works! I am almost done...just need to make sure the itch doesn't turn to gw again as that's how it started for me so I am keeping close eye down there.
I am also eating healthy with vegetables and fruits, drinking multivitamins - A, C, E, B6/12/Folic Acid, D3. Also drink antioxidant tea from berries, green tea capsules during the day. First thing in the morning and before I sleep I drink a glass of water with 2-3tsps of Apple Cider Vinegar too.
I hope the doctor says everything is back to normal- inside and outside on my next visit next week. I'm not sure if I will say it was the Apple Cider Vinegar that did the trick though...hmm maybe I will.
I started seeing genital warts a couple of months ago and was given magic wart by my gynaecologist to get rid of them. It burned my skin and they eventually came back, more of them. My warts got so big. They were so scary and covered my entire vagina lips and the opening. After weeks of trying remedies I found on this website which did not work. I turned to doing a lot of research. I read somewhere about the ability of zinc to fix the skin. I knew I had to get anything that had zinc. I took zinc supplements and put on zinc oxide + castor oil cream which can be bought at the chemist. I mixed the cream with coconut and garlic oil. Today I am wart free. They haven't grown back. I don't even look like I once had them and mind you. They had covered my entire vagina and were so big and long. I have never felt confident like I do now.
I need to pay forward. I discovered quite a number of little reddish bumps on the shaft and base of my penis some weeks ago, and at first thought it was just ingrown hairs from shaving, but then, they didn't seem to go away readily. So, I went to the doctor eventually and he said it was too tough to tell. He prescribed some ointment (which cost over 50$) for the folliculitis, i.e. ingrown hairs. Long story short, it wasn't that. It was what I didn't want.
I read here that warts would turn white upon contact with vinegar, and they do. They almost immediately become inflamed and will stand out. This will likely frighten you. If you have a lot of them, its going to look bad. I had more than 30, so it looked very bad. My heart sank. I thought my life was over. Everything I read said that there is no cure and it could take up to ten years to go away on its own. I wanted to cry. With everything else I am going through in my life, I considered suicide. I have a new love-interest who lives in another state, and I was terrified that I would have to explain to her that I can never have sex and that my equipment is damaged and ugly. With great reluctance, I bought a jar of Apple Cider with mother. Reading all these reviews, I wasn't sure how to begin, particularly because the dosages and treatments vary so much from review to review. Some of the reviews aren't so well-written, and some of them are written by humans who may not be so pragmatic.
So, because I had little regard for myself in the first place, my approach was aggressive. I used a gauze roll soaked in ACV and taped it on with stick-to-self wrap. The first treatment was relatively painless--A slight burn. I left it on for about 6 hours. Sure enough, they had turned bright white. One had even turned black. I felt a little more hopeful. The second treatment was horrid. I left it on over night. Its enough to make you groan and shiver with pain. The next morning, most of them were black. I was in so much pain that I could barely put my socks on. I decided I needed to heal before another treatment. I came back and read some more threads that suggested less intense treatments.
I decided to do some spot-treatments of the ones I missed with waterproof bandaids and cottonballs. It all just became too painful, and I decided that I would resume all treatments once I was fully healed. From there, I focused on healing. I used Hydrogen Peroxide in the shower to dissolve loose skin. It looked like a dog chewed it for fun. I used A&D ointment and also tea-tree oil. The tea tree oil is great--Gives immediate relief from the pain. I also started an intense supplement regimen. Vitamins A, D, E, C, K. B-12, Folate (as methylfolate) and Garlic. Zinc, and Magnesium. I also started adding ACV to my water, and drinking PLENTY of it.
It's been two days, and here's the deal: The warts are 100% gone. The few that I had planned to come back to are gone. I have to wonder, maybe I could have treated this whole mess with only the supplement program, and saved myself the pain. I'll be honest, I don't really care, I am just relieved that they are gone and it looks as though I will have normal equipment by the weeks end.
For those keeping score, I dealt with a really severe case in one week---Treatment to healing. It also pays to know that I am very active. I am a long-distance runner and obsessed with nutrition. I do plenty of pro-biotics including Kombucha and Sourdough. I eat a daily salad. My metablolism is likely faster than most of the reviewers here, and I highly recommend exercise and tons of sleep. Get some bennedril, and knock yourself out for 18 hours and let your body do its thing.
Don't go bonkers like I did with the ACV right away, Its brutal stuff. In the end, I am spending more time healing from the ACV damage than the warts themselves. Settle down. This isn't a big deal. If you've only got a couple, use band-aids and q-tips. If the area is larger, maybe cotton balls. Wrapping your entire equipment like I did should be used only for very severe cases, and by particularly tough individuals. In other words, try getting a grip. Take some deep breaths, listen to some positive music and know that this isn't a big deal, and be careful with the ACV. Its okay. 85% of the population has this, and there is a legitimate cure.
Here's what I should have done:
1. Get your immune system operating on full capacity with a vitamin regimen, exercise, probiotics, sleep, and plenty of water with ACV.
2. Start ACV treatment in one spot at a time for short intervals---1-2 hours max.
3. Heal. Tea-tree. Coconut oil. A&E. Be nice to your equipment. Its not it's fault. Just because this is a 'natural' remedy, doesn't mean it isn't aggressive. Its brutal. Okay? It works. It more than works, it literally NUKES them, and fast. If you've only got a little gang of thugs, don't use a nuke to kill them. A simple hand-grenade will do the trick.
4. Be positive. Settle down. Don't be ashamed. Handle it. Its okay. Go to work. Do your life.
5. Get tested, and tell your partner. Yes, eventually, when my equipment looks beautiful again, I will have to do the right thing, and tell her. If she's a good person, she will understand. I recommend getting vaccinated after the infection is completely cleared, and I will have to recommend to my partner that she does as well before we become intimate. Don't be dumb, and if you know where you contracted it, you might consider calling them and explaining how your beautiful equipment became Chernobyl, despite the fact that you can contract HPV using a condom, just as I did. It simply infects the uncovered areas, and If you're unaware that you're infected, and are masturbating etc, you'll spread it like wildfire. You might even tell said ex-lover about ACV treatment, and direct them to my review.
That's all. Like I said, I thought my life was over. I was skeptical, because I am a pragmatic scientist. I don't tend to put faith in 'natural' remedies in general, but now my only regret is going to the doctor at all. They won't help you. The treatments available are ineffective and take a very long time. My relief today, is palpable. The sun is shining, and so am I. If you're reading this, and losing your mind and feel like crying, just know I wish I could hug you right now. I would tell you to look at me, and settle down. I would tell you its not a big deal at all. I would tell you that you're a good person and that these things happen, and that in a week or two, you'll be right as rain. If you're scientific like I am, you might even almost enjoy this process because it is quite interesting.
Godspeed. Chin up. Small *bumps* in the road--pun intended.
Okay, so my one-year-old just fell asleep and this is mommy time. I am literally wasting mommy time to review the amazing advice I've gotten from this website.
This will hopefully be brief:
About 11 weeks ago I discovered a tiny little "white head" via cleaning in the shower. I assumed it was nothing and a bit later noticed another exactly in the same proximity, on the opposite side of my upper labia.
I began panicking.
My husband checked and said they looked like tiny little white heads. Nothing phases him. He'd still be attracted to me if I was covered in giant debilitating warts.
Recently, I found out I was pregnant. They appeared RIGHT when my immunity took a dive via pregnancy. Also, hormones cause a change in natural lubrication and estrogen, encouraging growth.
I asked my midwife, a CNM at my hospital of choice, to take a gander. Her first reaction matched my suspicion and my life immediately felt over. I felt like they punched me in the stomach and I just wanted to cry. Admittedly, I was really upset for a few weeks. They were so kind and said the warts were so tiny that one treatment of their acid would do it, clear them up.
The first treatment burned and caused them to spread rapidly. Two turned into... 5?
The second treatment didn't cause them to spread, but it was a newer inexperienced CNM who did the procedure wrong and I burned terribly. Lots of red, black, weird smells and swelling. I was terrified. I could barely walk out and all I wanted to do was cry. I thought, I have NOT slept with that many people. My husband and I love each other, I'm young and healthy, why is this happening to me.
I researched on the internet every day - obsessively. Not a good thing. It made me neurotic. Luckily, I found an answer and I feel genuine joy.
I tried hospital grade acid, multiple treatments of ACV, coconut oil at night and during the day, zinc oxide, a few weeks of tea tree oil, and garlic pills. They didn't make it worse. Infact, nothing spread and maybe they were minutely getting smaller. Maybe. But I was nauseous every day, I was sick of it. So I almost gave up, until...
I read an intelligent sounding woman who found true success. This was her recipe and this is how I use it:
3 crushed/powdered aspirin 325 mg:
A bit of Apple Cider Vinegar - just enough to make a wet paste;
That's it. I also used hydrogen peroxide.
The first three ingredients I mixed together to form a toothpaste/slightly more wet mixture.
Before, I'd prep by wiping my genital wart and the area around the warts with hydrogen peroxide.
After I'd sit in front of a mirror and using a Q-tip, i'd apply the paste to each wart. I had about, 6-8. Some were grouped together and looked like one, and one was the size of an eraser tip and was my biggest nemesis.
They were at the top of my external labia's on either side, one big one between my labia and inner labia, all the way in, and one on my perineum.
My midwife approved of the concoction and said she'd mention it to other pregnant patients with genital warts.
Some people find this concoction works rapidly, I found that it took a week or two. I applied it twice a day, everyday. Between 30-minutes and 3 hours. Sometimes, I only applied it once.
I wiped it of with toilet paper, usually wet.
For me, I knew it was working because everyday the treatment stung just a little bit more. After a week or so, they started to really sting for about 30-second. One morning, I noticed my two least favorite were GOONNE!!! YAY! One was red and exponentially smaller, a little raised still. The other was mostly gone. I let them heal for a full day and I'm doing the treatment one more time - just to make sure.
I had a few mini ones that probably weren't ingrown hairs that never had a chance and are gone.
I only have two left. The top labia ones. I think that's because the paste keeps rubbing off on my panties. The other two spots (they were only on four spots) were in deeper areas and the paste wasn't exposed to fabric. So maybe I'll try to add some kind of barrier. But they are much smaller and one is almost completely gone. So I'm down to 1 1/2!! YAY!!!!!!!!!
Benefits for women:
1. Easy to apply paste. No band-aids, cotton balls, or gauze that slip.
2. Easy to apply to hard to get areas.
3. Barely burns compared to a lot of other treatments.
4. Cheap and effective
Things that may have helped - cannot discredit them:
Garlic pills - 1 or 2 daily
Green tea - 1 or 2 cups daily - on most days
Prenatal vitamins every single day
An occasional Epsom salt bath. Mine was ginger and clay.
So PREGNANT women and anyone else with embarassing warts. Definitely see your doctor to make sure that you have genital warts. But PLEASE try this!! My midwife said all the things I did were okay. I may also start taking CoQ-10 supplements to help my body fight off the virus. CDC.com and other website have said the average person can fight the virus off in 1-2 years. Pregnant women and people with low immunity's may need extra help via supplements and what not.
Summary: 3 325 mg pills crushed into a powder, enough ACV to make a paste, a few drops of Vitamin-E oil (mine is food grade).
Apply paste 2 x daily. Wipe off paste after 30-minutes to a few hours. Repeat daily until warts fall off. I'd use coconut oil, aloe, or whatever to help with healing. Although, not much healing is needed with this procedure.
There aren't many male testimonials so here goes. I had a small cluster of small bumps appear on the head of my glans. I didn't think much about it so I rubbed it with towels and toilet paper, thinking it was just some form of smegma (which I really rarely get since I shower regularly). However, they began to become more and more prominent and different clusters started to appear around the base of my glans, encircling it. I was concerned so I saw a urologist who took a urine sample and said that it was probably an infection due to sexual contact. He prescribed an acyclovir ointment and 500mg acyclovir pills.
After 5 days and no effect he prescribe desowen and travocort ointments which seemed to not work either. So I decided to take on this matter personally and found out about this site and decided to try Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV).
I first just poured a few drops to the affected area and the warts whitened instantly. The burn was unlike anything I'd ever experienced in that area but it mitigated over the course of few minutes. I repeated it once more the following day and the initial cluster turned slightly grey but the others remained white. The third day I noticed that my method was affecting the rest of the head since the area that came in contact with the ACV was very raw red.
I applied the desowen and travocort I was prescribed and did nothing else. The fourth day I decided to use a q-tip to only put ACV on the areas that needed it. I did this the next day too. The areas began to shed skin to the point where I could just rub some of it off, exposing the clean raw red skin underneath. I was very relieved. Now I have no visible warts. I still do have some skin that needs shedding and some parts of my head are red but I have no warts.
All in all it took me about 6 days of on and off ACV to clear what I believe to be GW. The urine test came back negative for traces of the virus inside the urethra so I'm not sure what was up. Im just waiting for my skin to recover but I wanted to share my story because all the other testimonials were very helpful. I've tried tea tree oil as well before ACV but it only stung without no visible effect.
Hope this helps!
Apple Cider Vinegar
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and genital warts. WHAT A LIFE SAVER!!! About a year ago I discovered a skin tag near my perineum and just assumed it was a mole from rubbing and wearing thongs. 6 months after that I came to a stressful point in my life and began smoking marijuana / weed on a daily basis. About 3 months into my smoking habit, I discovered another skin tag near my perineum and one month later I discovered what I thought were hair bumps on my labia started multiplying. I was in denial at first because they never looked like cauliflower! But the spread of these flat bumps in my vaginal area and the skin tags all made me suspect warts. I went to an obgyn who said they didn't look like warts and directed me to a dermatologist for removal. I tested negative for hpv and never had abnormal paps so I was confident that this was just a coincidence and I was free from HPV and maybe it was just another skin condition. WRONG!! The dermatologist confirmed I had a case of warts that was from a sneaky strain of HPV and I caused it to spread due to shaving and smoking weed!!! The marijuana compromises the immune system and was no longer to suppress this virus that apparently could have been in my system for years!!!
I immediately stopped smoking, drinking, and began exercising and eating healthy, taking vitamins and supplements. After 3 months of going in every 2 weeks for cryotherapy, my warts continued to spread and I would go to get the new tiny ones burned off. I got tired of it never being an explanation of why I couldn't beat this outbreak regardless of being super careful and working on my health. It was starting to effect my relationship.
I found these posts on earth clinic and the ACV cleared everything up within days!!! I used cotton pads soaked in the Apple Cider Vinegar which initially revealed I had dozens of tiny little warts that were most likely ready to pop up to the surface and reveal themselves in the coming weeks. They only showed after maybe 20 minutes of the ACV. I realized It would be impossible to "spot-treat" my warts. I've come to learn that I have a complicated vaginal area and the typical rules never work for me.
Anyway, I began covering my labia with 4 cotton pads to attack all of the invisible warts because they all started peeking out once the vinegar was applied. I used organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother. Anyway I would put on a maxi pad to hold the soaked cotton pads in place and I kept it on for 4 hours each night for 4 nights. After the 4 hour treatments I would get in the shower, wash gently and spray with peroxide to kill any lingering traces of the virus. Then after shower I would slather aquaphor on to soothe my burning skin. Each day the warts would do the white, grey/black, then fall off and reveal pink. Gradually there were less and less until the 4th night when there were no more but I did the treatment one last time just to kill more of the virus. In the following nights I applied aquaphor daily to heal the skin and things were perfectly normal in a matter of weeks. If I would have kept pouring my money into that dermatologist I would have been making her rich. She never did anything to reveal the hidden warts that may have been just below the surface or too small to be visible. I would have been going in to get cryo for months, years even!! And when I went back to her cleared up she asked how I did it. I told her about the ACV and she said to be careful because it's not safe. That's BULL!!! DOCTORS JUST WANT YOUR MONEY AND LOYALTY. THE REMEDIES FOR HEALING ARE GIVEN TO US BY THE EARTH AND NATURE!!
Apple Cider Vinegar
Like most people have mentioned here, I didn't know that I had HPV or genital warts at first. I do not know when I contracted the virus, since I can't really remember the first time I had a growth or mark in my genital area.
When I first noticed something on my lower stomach towards my genitals, I thought that I had a skin tag or an ingrown hair, because I had recently shaved. As I continued to shave, more appeared, and they were all at the base of my shaft, so I had assumed that I had a bunch of ingrown hairs because I'm relatively hairy, and I was shaving with a basic razor. They were flesh colored and not really raised, and looked just like ingrown hairs to me.
However, several years passed and they were still there. I figured they were no longer ingrown hairs, they were skin tags. But after some time, they began to grow somewhat. So I started researching how to remove skin tags with home remedies. As I searched, I found that they could possibly be warts!
So I did the Apple Cider Vinegar test, and low and behold they turned white, and had somewhat of a cauliflower head. I was devastated, but did my research and realized that it's not something to be afraid of.
I was very skeptical, but this site gave me hope because of all of the positive testimonials. I also found a lot of others on the internet. Long story short, I used the Apple Cider Vinegar for 3 days (I'm on my 4th day now), and just about every wart has dried up, scabbed up, and turned black, and now I'm just waiting to heal.
The very next day they started to loosen up and shed a little, and the very next night one of them scabbed up completely.
There are a few little pesky ones that haven't turned black, but I haven't given them as much treatment as the main ones. I'll be taking care of them as soon as I'm finished typing this.
Here is what you need.
1. Cotton Swabs/Q-Tips
2. Makeup remover cotton swabs. Cotton balls are good, but get the flat cotton rounds because they soak easily and can be cut an manipulated.
3. First aid tape
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
IMPORTANT! AVOID GETTING ACV ON THE UNAFFECTED SKIN! I made this mistake by putting a whole cotton round on my penis, and burned and scabbed up part of my shaft. Currently healing now.
a. Dip the Q-tip in the ACV and dab all of the affected areas as a prep.
b. Soak the cotton round in apple cider vinegar.
c. Cut off small pieces of the cotton round and cover the affected areas only. Do your best to avoid unaffected skin.
d. Place a piece of first aid tape over the cotton so that the ACV can get to work.
e. Repeat this process every couple of hours, and if you can try to leave it on over night.
f. In between treatments, let your genitals/warts get some air for 30-60 minutes. The air will help them to dry out and scab up.
This treatment totally worked for me and I am so relieved that I can avoid the stress and expenses of going to a doctor to get them removed/treated.
The ACV will burn. It stings like hell! Especially if you get it on the healthy skin. But it is worth it because it works. I'm so happy that this works, and I hope that my penis is wart (and scar) free from now on. I bought some coconut oil to moisturize and help with the tone and texture.
Thank you Earth Clinic members for your feedback and help, and good luck to anyone reading this. I hope it works for you like it worked for me!
Hi there. In order to find a treatment to get rid of my genital warts I ended up here. In Holland we don't have a site like this and I found lots of information and tried some of the treatments I've found here. But when I was looking on other sites I've found a few items that told about Carrageenan as an inhibitor of the HPV, HIV and Herpes virus. I found some carrageen powder on a dutch website and decided to try it. Within 2 days after making a paste from some hot water and a teaspoon of the powder and putting it on my genitals the warts were gone. I've told this to a couple of people on a dutch forum and they all tried the carrageenan/water paste. The results are good with them too. The warts (small ones are gone in 2 days...bigger ones in 5 days) just disappear. Carrageenan is used in a lubricant (bioglide) to keep the virus from spreading but it can be used as a treatment too. Maybe one of you would like to try this too? It's cheap, doesn't burn your private parts and as far as I 've found out it works. Good luck. I hope my english is good enough for you to understand. (My english is better than your dutch probably. ;) )
Genital Warts: (This is long but it is WORTH THE READ. I DETAIL HOW TO MAKE THOSE WARTS DISAPPEAR FOR GOOD!!! Don't waste your money on any gimmicks - this advice is free and it worked for me).
I was a HUGE skeptic when I first decided to try a home remedy for my warts. When I first realized I had warts on the shaft of my penis, I cried with shame. I scoured the internet, did tons of research and panic took over as I sought a way to get rid of this taboo STD. And if you stumbled across this website, I'm pretty sure you've felt the exact same thing I've just described. But ladies and gentlemen, SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT of having genital warts a part of your medical history. Before you go see a doctor, relax, take a deep breath, and from this moment forward, put yourself in a POSITIVE state of mind because everything is going to be alright. I found this site MONTHS AGO, but I have waited to post until now (three months later) just to be sure this wasn't a fluke.
To begin, everybody's body is made up a little different, but I swear on everything that is holy and dear to me, this worked for me and I feel like a new man. I followed this procedure and by the third day, my warts fell off:
First, start off by taking a nice warm shower. Clean your whole body, and pay special attention to the area with warts. I suggest taking a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in the shower with you so that after you're done soaping up and rinsing, you can poor it directly on the area just to kill off any wart particles that may cause the nastiness to spread. After your shower, dry off. Get some regular sized bandages, some cottonballs, and some Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). ACV is cheap and any kind will work. Take a bandage and cut a strip of the adhesive part off the bandage. This strip will serve as "tape" to hold the cottonball in place. Then, take a cottonball, rip off a piece that is about the size of the wart, and roll it up nice and tight. Take your little ball of cotton and soak it in ACV. Squeeze it gently so it wont drip, but don't squeeze it so much that the cotton ball is dry. You want to leave some ACV in there so the wart will drink it up.
Next, take the ACV-soaked cottonball piece and put it in the middle of the adhesive strip you cut (on the sticky side). It should stick to the strip. Then carefully, place the cottonball directly over the nasty little wart you want to kill. Gently push the advesive srtip onto your skin, but don't push too hard. Once you've done this, cover that strip with a small bandage to keep in place.
I've read some people report that this stings a bit. It stung a little for me by the second day because ACV might take off a little bit of the good skin around the wart. But TRUST ME, it is worth the sting and after a bit, you should get used to it. If anything, put yourself in the state of mind that "the sting is the wart dying." That will help you to grin and bear it.
Do this in the morning after your shower before you go to work/school/wherever. When you get back home in the evening of the first day, when you take off the bandage and adhesive strip, you should notice the wart to start to turn whitish-grey. Take another shower, and repeat the process of soaping up, soaking in the warm water, and pouring hydrogen peroxide on the wart right before you get out of the shower. Follow the same procedure with the cottonballs, the ACV and the bandage strips and leave it on through the night. When you wake up in the morning, you will notice the wart turning a blackish/dark-grey color. That means its working.
Do this for two more days or until the wart just falls off in the shower. If the skin around the blackish wart turns whitish, that ALSO means it's working.
I think one other person on here has addressed how to take care of your skin AFTER THE WART FALLS OFF. You may notice that when the wart falls off, the skin underneath will be raw. You may see like a little hole in your skin. Thats a good thing, but your REGIMEN DOESN'T END THERE!! Once the wart falls off, if you are in the shower, IMMEDIATELY rinse off the area and pour hydrogen peroxide on the skin. The area will turn white and bubble up (the reaction from the Hydrogen Peroxide killing off the germs). This is a good thing so don't freak out. Then rinse off. You may notice that when you rinse, the raw skin may stay "whitish." That's okay. Thats just the hydrogen peroxide that is in the skin now. When you get out the shower, dab some hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball and hold it on the new skin for few seconds. Then CAREFULLY take a cottonswab and put some antibiotic on it (like an ointment with zinc oxide in it) and dab it on the raw skin. DON'T smear it all over, just dab it right on the raw skin. Cover it with a bandage, and for extra caution, once you are done putting on the bandage, take some hyrdrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol, dab it on a cotton ball, and wipe the area where the bandaid is just to be sure you aint spreading wart germs.
Repeat this for an additional four to five days and the area will heal up like brand new. You will never even know a wart was there. In total, you can be like new in about 2 weeks time.
In addition to this direct method, I have decided to build up my immune system. This not only has prevented new warts, but I swear I haven't gotten sick AT ALL. Im sure that by now, my body/immune system has killed off whatever virus was in my body that caused the warts.
On a daily basis (and I take this with food so I don't ruin my stomach), I take 1000 mg of vitamin c, 1000 i.u. of vitamin E, 25,000 i.u. of vitamin A (as beta carotene), 50 mg of zinc, 500mg of lysine, an Echinacea and Golden Seal complex pill, a One-a-day multivitamin, and Garlic Supplement pills (2 at a time). I spent only 30 dollars buying all these pills at a drug store, and it has been every bit worth it. They have lasted me already almost four months and I feel great. If you read up on these vitamins, ALL of them are known for either boosting the immune system or helping the body kill viruses. They really really work, I swear by them.
For those of you freaking out about your genital warts, TRUST ME you're not freaking out nearly as much as I did. I almost went crazy living with them. But I followed the advice of people who have been through this before me, and I am passing the advice down to you coupled with my own little tricks. It upsets me that there are so many jerks out there that try to charge you for advice to help you get rid of these nasty little things. I learned everything on this posting on my own, and it WORKS.
Also, I would HIGHLY recommend trying this remedy first. Don't waste your money on unnecessary doctor visits and prescription drugs that are probably gonna do you more harm than good. However, don't take this message to mean you should not see your doctor. If there is something wrong with you, by all means go see him. But for a genital wart that you can get rid of on your own? In such a short amount of time? Save your money, save your time, and follow this procedure. You are not alone, and you WILL get rid of them.
Thank you Earth Clinic for this wonderful sight!!
Good luck and God Bless.
