I truly don't believe it was an accident when I stumbled across this website the other night. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids about four years ago after noticing some changes with my menstrual cycle. After this finding, I went on a research rampage to learn all I could about these tumors that were invading my body. Long story short, I was told of the many evasive treatment options that only seem to provide short term relief (if at all).

I'm 41 years old and at a breaking point with this condition. I went from having periods that lasted 5 days to cyles lasting 7 days.. Sometimes 8. Instead of every 28 days, it comes about every 20. There were times when I had two cycles in one month. Its out of control.

Anyway, after reading a lot of the testimonials on here, I decided to give this a try. What do I have to lose right? I am currently taking 2 teaspoons of the vinegar w/ 8 oz of water, twice a day. I started taking it while I was on the second day of my menstrual.

I have only been taking it for three days so far and I have noticed a decrease in bleeding around day three of my cycle. Which usually slows around the fourth or fifth day. The pressure and pain had subsided as well. So far, it seems to be doing something.

I will continue to use this remedy and watch for even more significant changes. Does anyone have any sugesstions on whether or not to take the Apple Cider Vinegar with food? Thank you for allowing me to share my story. I wish you all wellness. I will keep you all posted.

Hello All, It gives me much joy to report that I am on the ACV and BSM regime and IT WORKS!!!! Many thanks to the person(s) who created this blog and took the time to share their information about these two wonderful products. When I first read about it, about a month ago, I figured why not, I didn't think it could hurt, but now I wish I'd known about it soooo long ago.

I am an AA woman, 46 yo with no health insurance and have been diagnosed with fibroids and cysts. I had a fibroid myomectomy (sp) approximately 5 years ago and have been informed that they have returned, mostly on my right side. I am overweight with a history of cancer, hypertension and diabetes in my immmediate family, so time to get to work! I am on an otc iron supplement, I work out and am taking the Apple Cider Vinegar (4 Tbs per day) and Blackstrap Molasses (2 Tbs per day). I've cut back on the dairy, am taking additional otc vitamins and have incorporated shepherd's purse in my diet, not consistently, but in my diet as well. I use the shepherd's purse when I see/think the spotting will begin.

Sooo.... I am currently on my menstrual cycle, I'm on day 3 and my flow has been reduced DRAMATICALLY!!!! I have only had to take 6 pain meds (taking 2 at a time) over the last three days and I can't begin to count the number of pain meds I normally would have taken by now. By now, I usually would have gone thru at least half of a package of SUPER LONG MAXI pads, I've only used maybe 6, no more than 10 so far. I am still clotting, but the pain is MINIMIZED and have not had any MAJOR accidents, some small ones, but that's getting better. I'm not taking the baking soda due to the sodium content.. Don't want to chance it, but overall, I am sooo much better. Thank you so much for the information and will continue to keep you abreast of my progress. Fibroid and cysts removal for all!!!!!

Peace and Blessings, CP

I was diagnosed with uterine cancer, and about two weeks prior to my surgery I read about blackstrap molasses. I started taking in the mornings. Put a teaspoon in a little warm water and filled a cup with organic milk every morning.

After I had surgery, my doctor advised that she found my fibroids were much smaller than she thought. Her words were "It wasn't as bad as she thought. " I don't know if it was the blackstrap molasses that helped them or what, but I think there is no doubt that the molasses is giving me more energy during the day. I am continuing to take it every day, and think I may take it morning and night after I have read many of the posts.

I've just started taking 2 Tbls's of BlackStrap(Unsulphured) Molasses with a Tbls of _____s with mother Apple cidar vinegar.

at first I started taking Apple cidar vinegar with baking soda yet the baking soda must be the kind with no aluminun, not your everyday baking soda you can et from cvs or your local market.

you should get the one at whole foods or your local health food store with out alluminum.

I'm on a strict diet of

* No meat including chicken, beef never pork.

* No coffee it makes it worse

* no asparatime or splenda, nutra sweet they cause cancer.

* avoid all white sugar, chocolate, candies

ect. they make your situation of healing your self worse. yeah I knw oh its chocolate or gum or

sweets yet they make it worser for your body.

* No pastries, danish cakes, white flour,

white bread..

anything you eat such as pasta, ect should be eaten in moderation.

I act like I'm stuck on an island and all I have to eat or drink are coconut milk, water, baby coconut is really good to because theres more water in them. I find mine at the chinese market. But thats all I usually buy. I dont eat the fish, or noodles or other foods there because they smell weird to me just my opinion we all have them.

* No Ramen noodles with the spice pack thats MSG

* Chinese food its MSG

*NO SODAS, DIET GINGER ALE ECT.

maybe selter but with quinine. Not the flavored type. You can squeeze lemon for extra taste. or add a little gin..lol

I REALIZE THERES A LOT OF NO'S HERE YET YOUR BODY AND MIND WILL REWARD YOU 100 TIMES OVER FOR MAKING THESE WISE & HEALTHLY LIVING CHOICES.

I make sage drinks with lemondae, honey and sage thats good your fibroids as well. (from back to eden book), or tumeric tea good for the bones.

there inexpensive cheap ways to heal yourself of fibroids.

I'll keep everyone posted on the fibroid remedy I'm trying. Yet my tummy feels a lot better and its shrinking. plus I go for walks everyday and stretch that helps.

Best of luck and a speedy recovery to everyone.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Blackstrap Molasses

After reading here about Black Strap Molasses - unsulfured and Apple Cider Vinegar - with the mother, I went out and got them both two years ago. I began by taking 1 tablespoon of each mixed together in the morning and once at night. I was shocked by how soon the month long bleeding stopped. I saw improvement the same day. I cut caffeine out of my diet and cow's milk as well.

Now, two years later, I'm not cured but I don't suffer at all like I use to. I just spent my period week on vacation with two trips to the beach like a normal person.

For maintenance, I only take the molasses and vinegar mixed on day one of my period in the morning and at night. The rest of the days are only once at night. My period lasts for about five days and I have a normal 23-28 day cycle.

My doctor told me at my last appointment with him that this was just a "witches brew" when I questioned him about molasses and ACV as a natural treatment. I was scheduled for surgery two weeks after that appointment. I went to Sprouts instead and started that same night. Needless to say, I cancelled that surgery and never saw that doctor again.

If this doesn't work for you, please make sure that you have the right ACV (with the mother! ) and the right BSM (unsulphered). Next, make sure you have made some changes in your diet like eliminating caffeine (25 mg of caffeine now will start my period in the middle of my cycle), limiting/eliminating diary (soy milk is what I drink now).

This is not a cure, but a treatment. It should be thought of no differently than if your doctor put you on a daily pill regime that came with a list of do's and don'ts. The good news is, unlike most medical solutions, this isn't a life-long regime. After menopause, fibroids diminish on their own so you can discontinue ACV/BSM at that time. This is the best $8 investment I could ever make. I just wish I had researched this before my first fibroid surgery that cost the insurance company over $6000 and me over $800 out of pocket.

Hello, I'm doing practically the same thing than you with small variations; I got a fibroid of about 10cmx8cm. It's really big and scared me a lot. My doctor said that was the size of a newborn's head.

I have no kids and I'd really like to have at least one. I'm trying the natural option first if no signs of shrinking are showed I will go for the surgery.

I started with the ACV and BSM like 5 months ago, and I don't really know if my fibroid has shrunk but for sure my symptoms now are less notorious. My sexual life improved a lot, before was very painful and I didn't enjoy being with my husband because of the pain. Since I started with the treatment I have no more pain.

My belly was hard like a rock but now little by little you can notice how is getting softer and I can bottom my jeans without worrying about the pain.

I will have to visit my doctor to check how my fibroid is going, but I thing is too early to notice significant changes. I will continue with the treatment for another 2 months before going for a check out.

My treatment includes:

*ACV (morning), BSM (morning), TRIVINOL (has a complete supplement of enzymes, Amanu & Llanten (once a day), Magnesium (to eliminate the calcium in the fibroid), Vitamin E, ACV Tablets (afternoon), BSM Tablets (afternoon).

Dear Teena,

Thank you so much for your post. Why did you say not to take mag. oxide? I was relieved of all joint pain, sciatica and the bone-on-bone grinding in my neck after I started taking magnesium oxide. In addition, I no longer got migraine headaches (as well as eliminating hidden sources of MSG contributed to no more headaches).

Please advise what is wrong with magnesium oxide.

I am so looking forward to your reply.

Kelp and Vitamin B6

I eliminated my fibroid tumors with Vitamin B6 and kelp. Iodine is extremely important in the diet and almost everyone's diet is so deficient in this particular mineral, but how your add it to your diet is equally as important as the mineral itself. What most people do not understand is that minerals are meant to be bound together in a natural form that the body can easily absorb and utilize. This does not mean saturating it with one mineral alone; this will put the body in balance for a very short time and then unbalance it just as quickly once the body is over saturated which will make you equally as sick as when your started. The answer is to put minerals into your body in a safe form which of course is food. Kelp, especially Laminaria digitata. It's so safe and very effective in curing disease especially of the thyroid and it will also heal your fibroids. Disease is a mineral deficiency. Kelp is so full of minerals that the body can pick and choose exactly what it needs and absorb it quickly which of course is very healing. Laminaria digitata is very high in iodine and you can eat as much of it as you want for the rest of your life and will never oversaturate yourself as it is a food and the body will only choose to absorb the iodine if is is in need. The best way to heal is always through your diet. If you want to heal extra fast please use my alkalizing drink. I always take 1/2 tsp of Laminaria digitata kelp on the side of this drink by spoon. I just down it with the drink. The drink is:

1 cup of water or thereabouts. 1 tblspn of unsulphered blackstrap molasses
1 tsp of turmeric
1 lemon, freshly squeezed to make sure you have the anions from the lemon which are very alkalizing. 4-6 drops of stevia. Not all stevias are created equal and some are just as toxic as aspertame. Stir it well and drink. This drink is anticancer, antiinflamatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal. It is extremely health promoting and healing. It is a drink and you should have once a day at least and more if you are in poor health. Good luck and I truly hope you try my recommendations as it has made such a drastic improvement in my own health and others, that I know it will help you if you give it a chance.

Iodine
Posted by Christina (Ann Arbor, Mi) on 07/18/2011

I was reading these comments with interest. I've been taking Iodoral (2 tablets/day) for almost a year, but no real change in fibroid. I'm wondering if my body flushes out some of it, so it doesn't get full benefit. That's why I'm revisiting the iodine painting. Maybe if you apply it directly to the body it will be absorbed better? I don't know. I do know that castor oil and iodine act as liver detox, and that's why the fibroids shrink, theoretically, because the iodine helps the liver get rid of the toxins in your body (bad estrogen included).

Excess estrogen contributes to the increase in fibroid size. The average physician doesn't make the connection, nor does h/she make the connection between progesterone and fibroids. If you have large fibroids, you're supposed to avoid the following : progesterone cream, estrogen in any form, DHEA, licorice, yam, black cohosh. Progesterone cream may make small fibroids shrink, but larger ones seem to love progesterone.

It seems that hormone imbalance/deficiency is the root cause of fibroids, beginning w/ thyroid dysfunction. There are probably other causes that contribute to this, but this seems to be the primary reason women entering perimenopause are susceptible to them. A balanced diet can help stave off further growth, but I'm not sure that it will shrink them. It seems that liver detox support is the most likely solution, in addition to correcting the underlying problem. Get your hormone levels checked, esp. thyroid. A simple blood test may not show deficiency. If you have the symptoms, you most likely have a thyroid problem. You can take your temp for 7 days beginning the second day of your menstrual cycle. If it's consistently low, you've most likely a problem. Again, theoretically, once the thyroid is balanced, the other stuff should follow suit.... But, liver detox is something you can do now w/o a problem. Also, check your adrenal function. If that's off, it can cause all the other stuff to "fall" like dominos.

I came across this site three weeks ago and got excited about the apple cider vinegar and baking soda treatment for fibroids. The science made sense to me so I decided to give it a try. I have been using the ACV and BS three times a day for the past two weeks for fibroids. I have been plagued with flooding (heavy periods)that were ruining my life! I have had embarrassing accidents and have been diagnosed as anemic. I have been in the process of scheduling a uterine fibroid embolization procedure, but decided to try the natural way as I feel a little funny about having plastic injected into my body. I had been given the option of hysterectomy (NO, NO, NO! )which is why I chose UFE.

Anyway, I want you all to know THAT IT WORKS! My period started on Sunday, and for the first time in over twenty years it is light! I flooded for about six hours (this is my first period since starting the ACV-BS program) but when I took a teaspoonful of unsulphured molasses, it stopped within thirty minutes! Seriously, dead cold stopped! Normally I flood for TWO DAYS! My period is light and manageable; instead of six to eight sanitary napkins a day for two and a half days, I am down to three a day! My fibroids feel as though they have shrunk and after the third day on the program I could touch my toes without a stabbing pain on the left side of my pelvis. The heaviness eased after 4 days, the lower back pain eased up by 90% after 7 days, the upper shoulder/neck pain died after one day! I stayed home from school because I did not know if I would flood or not and didn't want to be in public in case I did, but it was all good and I don't feel so afraid to go out anymore!

Hello, I'm back! This month I decided to try something a little different. In previous posts I have talked about the six hours of flooding I experience in spite of the vast improvement in the length and quantity of my period. I deduced that the real difference in my improvement had to do with BSM and its Magnesium content.

So I thought to myself, "Self, what if the answer is Magnesium?"I purchased a bottle of Magnesium Oxide tablets (regular plain old Mg) from the drugstore in 250 mg. Strength. I also purchased Zinc Gluconate (regular plain old Zn) in 50 mg. Tablets. I began to take the Magnesium tabs, one tab a day, two weeks before my period. Well, what do you know? NO FLOODING! I kid you not, I did not flood last month! I believe that Mg is the key.

I think that some women need a little more of the Mg than others when dealing with fibroids. I do not worry about overdoing the Mg because it is eliminated by the kidneys and one cannot overdose, so even though BSM supplies Mg, a little help from the drug store or health food aisle will not hurt! So, ladies, perhaps you should increase your intake of Magnesium to help cut that pesky lingering flooding, however temporary it may be. Get yourself some Zinc, too. It won't hurt.

Since ACV takes calcium away, you will find that the additional Mg will help shrink your fibroids faster. I have lost an additional two inches off my waist and lower abdomen since adding the Mg tabs, so there is definitely a bonus in it for you. I feel better about my figure coming back; up to this point I've looked several months pregnant and I feel good about my tummy flattening out. If this keeps up (and I think it will), I'll be back to normal by summer!

So, to recap: Try increasing your intake of Magnesium to combat lingering temporary flooding.

I will be back next month to report on my next period with the Magnesium tabs along with ACV and BSM and post results. I am so happy for Earthclinic, as I like to help people and I hope this helps you ladies out there get your life back and start living again! Stop being a prisoner once a month, come outside with the rest of us, we miss you!

Until next month!

Hallo ladies,

I have been battling fibroids with heavy bleeding and flooding for the last 8 years. I started taking some Ayurveda medicine and therapies but although my fibroids, body weight and the belly have reduced significantly, I am yet to see satisfactory results on the flow.

I came across this blog and I have been consistently taking ACV and BSM as recommended together with other herbal medications including Red Raspberry.

The last time I had a scan, my largest fibroid had reduced from 9 to 7 cms. That was before I started using AVC and BSM. I am eager to see how the flow will be in a few days. I feel encouraged and celebrate success stories posted here by my fellow ladies. Mine will also be a success story and I know it will benefit others.

Hi San,

The things that have helped with mine are -Unfiltered Apple Cidar Vinegar - 1oz mix in 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda - wait for fizz to stop and add 12 oz water and 1oz Orange juice.

I do this every morning, and when I have my period I do it two or three times a day as it REALLY slows bleeding.

Also, 1 heaping teaspoon (probably closer to 1 tablespoon) of unsulphered blackstrap molassas and 1 tablespoon of Virgin Coconut oil in my coffee every morning. Tastes nummy.

Evenings I take 600 mg Calcium, 600 mg Magnesium, 5, 000 iu vitamin D3, 3 mg Boron, and DIM (you will have to look up what that stands for - DIM balances estrogens), along with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of turmeric and freshly ground (1/4 teaspoon) of black pepper in my tomato juice.

ALL of the above sounds kind of complicated.... But when you have fibroids and ovarian cysts you are willing to do most anything to have a normal life. I now have a pretty normal cycle, and am pretty thrilled that I can actually leave my house during my periods!

Incorporate one, incorporate all.... But once you find what works for you.... you will know it.

Good luck to you!

I tried every natural remedy known to man. None worked well (TCM & acupuncture worked a little but ultimately failed every time). I had several (successful) rounds of laproscopic fibroid surgeries before finally (and happily) having a partial hysterectomy in my mid-40's. You should not have to resort to full hysterectomy at your age, or indeed ever. Regardless of size of fibroid, there are many different treatment options, and many can retain the uterus to allow you to have kids. Don't just consult your normal OB/GYN. Talk to a physician known for specializing in fibroids, as there are many different options these days. And recovery for laproscopic surgery is fast (1 - 3 weeks).

Drink water with flaxseed ground, boil the flaxseed ground, what works best in my opinion, adding a pinch of unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Try venus flytrap pills too. I believe this is the best thing, apple cider and water. Just skim off the flaxseed. Drink the oils that boil in the water. God bless you! Change the way you eat as well. Try sauteeing prunes, raisins, apples in butter adding it to oatmeal and eat a lot of fruit and broccoli, don't eat pizza until the weekends. The tumor should come out.

Fibroids and Cysts

Due to a 6 cm intramural fibroid (diagnosed 18 months ago at 3,8 cm), I had been suffering terribly from heavy bleeding, debilitating cramps and breakthrough bleeding for over 15 months. On the 2nd day of my cycle, I would have to use 3 super plus tampons plus pads every hour for a 10 - 20 hour period of time. This was accompanied by such terrible pain that I couldn't walk without bending over. I would take 400 mg ibuprofen every 4 hours over a 24 hour time span, but still suffer tremendous pain. My periods would last between 7 and 10 days, though the bleeding was typically light after the 5th or 6th day. More often than not, I would then have bleeding or spotting between periods. As my cycles are relatively short (23 - 26 days), the breakthrough bleeding was obviously quite distressing to deal with.

Two and half months ago, I started drinking ACV twice a day with baking soda and water (1 tbsp ACV, 1/4 tsp BS, 300 ml water). Since then, I have not had any breakthrough bleeding. My periods, except for this last one, were so light that I didn't even use tampons. I rarely soak a pad within 3 - 4 hours and can sleep for 8 hours at a time each night! My periods now last approximately 5 days, with very little bleeding after that time. I still control the pain with ibuprofen, but it is no longer debilitating. I have been able to increase the dosage interval to every 6 hours within one 24 hour period, thereby reducing my ibuprofen intake to 1600 vs 2400 mg per cycle. I was also diagnosed with an ovarian cyst (3.5 cm) that might likely be a chocolate cyst. I had occasional sharp pains coming from my ovaries before starting the ACV, but haven't had any such pains in the last 7 weeks. This, however, could be due to the daily dosage of chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus -hard capsule 4 mg dried extract) which I have been taking for the last 5 weeks. I don't yet know whether the fibroid and/or the cyst have reduced in size, but I am feeling tremendously better -much healthier, less tired and run down. Also, I used to feel very depressed prior to my periods, but rarely feel this sadness anymore. I rode a rollercoaster of emotions, but this has stablised considerably. I feel happy and balanced most of the time, even the day or two before my period begins. I'll report back after my next ultrasound.

Thanks everyone for great input regarding Fibroids. Since most of us are in the dark & trying to avoid surgeries with massive fibroids [10cm ].. I have a SERIOUS PLEA for every woman posting here. It's great to hear that your "symptoms" have eased up a bit or a lot BUT what would really be helpful to all of us here would be an organized & measured report of your progress, starting with:

1. The size of your [biggest] Fibroid initially

2. Remedies you followed with measurements

3. Proof of "size reduction" with the latest size from your latest ultrasound > for this you may have to REVISIT the site and update us. Please take a bit of pain so the rest of us can have a calming assurance that Yes.. Indeed.. the SIZE CAN SHRINK TOO ..

NOW SOME TIPS:

1. After consulting numerous doctors, a few surprised me with the fact that the menstrual pain/cramps are actually due to Anemia & prolonged blood depletion instead of the Fibroids themselves. So don't just treat your Fibroids, but also take Iron Supplements such as pills and spirulina powder [mixed in carrot or apple juice]. Do not just depend on BSM if you have severe Anemia, get your #s checked. It turns out, the more anemic you are, the more you will bleed. YIIKEESS!!! Its a cycle. My fibroid is still there.. but I've seen the miracle of treating Anemia with 90% pain reduction! And reduced bleeding as well! It will take you 1 or 2 months to see dramatic results! :) Just STICK to the regimen.

2. Many women here have complained of constipation etc due to IRON pills. Did you know that there are Iron pills in health food stores that are made of whole foods & are vegetarian and hence more absorbable and not upsetting your stomach at all! Try them before giving up. But add some spirulina or BSM to this. If you are severely anemic, take 2 to 3 pills a day for a few months. Then taper down to 1, for maintenance. Do get blood work done to see your requirements.

3. Many women here have also complained of ACV's taste and I had the same issue. But reading its wonders, I had to come up with a way, and I did! Its the most delicious concoction/cocktail ever. Instead of taking ACV straight or mixing it up in water, I am mixing 2tbs in Lychee Juice with 1/4 tsp Baking Soda. You can use apple juice or use any sweet juice to counter it's sourness. You will be addicted to this delicious drink.

4. Rinse your mouth right after as ACV could be bad for teeth enamel.

5. Other women have complained of BSM's strong taste. The best way to take it is to add it to some hot water and enjoy it like tea. Others here have drizzled it on ice cream too! So don't give up. Be creative. Don't mix it up with your coffee or tea as Caffeine tends to feed fibroids! That's what I've heard.

6. Additionally, you could take DIM supplment to balance fibroid-causing Estrogen

Again .. I wonder if one should just sit back & relax just because the symptoms have disappeared. Your fibroid could still be there or growing! So do go for a 2nd scan and definitely report your findings here specially the SIZE-CHANGES or Shrinkage! This is the only site where we can truly trust the testimonials. So please ladies, keep us updated with your measurements! Don't abandon us once your symptoms subside. Keep us posted. THANKS - poetess

I tried the ACV for a few days but had no success. After going to the doctor, he revealed that I did indeed have a fibroid, but because I had bled out over 60% of my normal blood supply and I was severely anemic. I had emergency surgery last Wednesday (complete hysterectomy). My prayers and well-wishes go out to the rest of you ladies dealing with this issue...

I was wondering if i am using ACV correctly and how long it actually takes to see improvements. I started to drink ACV in a 16 ounces bottle everyday since my last menstrual hoping it would help (I was diagnosed with fibroids 4 years agao) but 1 month later i can sadly report that nothing has changed. I still have terrible abdominal pain and heavy bleeding.. :( Please help me i am going crazy!!!! Also, can someone tell me where to find blackstrap molasses??? Thank you in advance.

EC: Most grocery stores carry at least one brand of blackstrap molasses. If not, Whole Foods Market has a good number of brands.. Finding it online will be a piece of cake, too.

Fibroids and Black Strap Molasses:

After reading the success other ladies were having, I dediced to try BSM for my Fibroids. The last 2 1/2 weeks, I have been taking Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses first thing in the morning. I take a tablespoon, mixed in about 2 ounces of hot water and about two ounces of 2% milk or soy milk. My cycle started Monday and I am happy to report that I did not cramp for two days like before. I only cramped for a short time the first day. I had one heavy day and did not pass any clots at all. Today is my last day but I'm barely flowing.

Fibroids and Anemia GONE!

I have wrote on here a couple times and this is my 1 year update. My anemia is gone, my iron has been normal for voer a year now and my periods are light and normal. I was in really bad a shape over 2 yrs ago and although I was only 40 my Dr. wanted me to get a hysterectomy. I refused and did tons of research about fibroids and anemia. This is what I learned:These are the things I did immedietly: Got off the pill, Fibroids are cause by estrogen so I figured why feed it more? I did the BSM in Cream of Wheat with raisins(cream of wheat, raisins and black strap molasses are very high in Iron and you will be feeling better)every morning, Apple Cider Vinegar with apple cider at night and watched what I ate and drank. Caffeine and alcohol effects fibroids and can make bleeding worse. Don't take your iron with calcium or calcium fortiifed OJ.

My routine for the past year has been:
Glass of green juice every morning ( I drink Odawalla), if I drink coffee I order a single shot only, and have only one a day. My vitamins are Garden of Eatin Perefect Food (more green minerals and vitamins) Women's Living Green Liquid-Gel Multi Vitamin, Irwin Naturals, (lots of minerals and vitamins from plants) DIM(helps regulate estrogen), B-100, Evening Primrose Oil, and occasionaly Iron Picolate during my cycles. I've come to the point that if I don't need the iron it will make me nauseated.

I'm telling you this has worked for me! And I tried all kinds of things! I read tons of books, posts, tried this that! But thak God I did not listen to my Dr. and get a hysterectomy! At one point my cycle was so bad I almost passed out! My iron was 24! So don't think maybe her problems weren't that bad! They were bad and I was really scared!

So, I hope this helps someone out there, our bodies are amazing and when they try and tell us something we just gotta listen and rethink the way we do things. Good luck and feel free to write if you have any questions!

I've read a lot of these testimonials and after reading so many women suffered the exact same conditions I have I really want to share something in addition to the molassas that really does make a life changing difference.

I too have had anemia problems all my life and they became severely worse when I developed fibroid cysts(myoma). After an ultra sound indicating some extremely large cysts my Doctor advised a hysterectomy was the only alternative in removing the fibroid cysts. I opted to get back with him about that decision. I researched for an alternative cure and what I found was a product called Fibrovan which not only rid me of my fibroid cysts in less then 60 days, but reversed my anemia within the first week. It saved me from having a hysterectomy and rid me of my chronic anemia.

After I rid my body of the fibroid cysts I then started a regular intake of a TBSP of molasses in my tea each morning as my sweetner and I have not had any anemia problems whatsoever in over a year. Mostly I have to give an enormous amount of praise and gratitude to the supplement but...the molasses too is making a difference in boosting my iron.

Dietary Changes

Just taking blackstrap molasses alone will take much longer if you continue to eat foods with added hormones. Fibroids are hormonal imbalances. You must detox your liver and remove all animal from your diet as well as all of the rest.. eating a majority of green leafy foods, remove every hormone and animal product from your diet and remove caffeine as well. then just wait,, it took me a year and my periods are finally at a place that i can actually walk around and work ...what a difference!!!

I have to say I was a total skeptic when I was reading about ACV & how it helps with menstrual problems. I suffered from fibroids & had 5 pounds of them removed last year. I also had been having a cycle about every 2 weeks which was driving me crazy that I thought having the fibroids removed would have cured. I tried ACV during the beginning of my last cycle & am very happy to report that it gave me a regular cycle of 28 days!!!! It has been over 2 yrs since I had a regular cycle of 28 days & this was done without the aid of birth control pill ~ YEAH!!!! Also, when I went back to the surgeon who removed my fibroids last year, he was surprised to find only 1 small growth of a fibroid. He said that he thought for sure that he would be going back inside of me again to remove more fibroids because typically they grow back after a year. I was so very happy about this :)

I sincerely believe that a vegan diet works combat fibroids. I have just started the vitex or chasteberry but have been using normal molasses for quite some time. I had no idea it was useful for shrinking fibroids because I use it to detoxify. A level tbsp. in a glass of hot water first thing every morning. I just have one or two heavy days and I feel more energetic since using the molasses because of the iron content. Also, my breakfast consists of oats, almonds, grounded flaxseeds, raisins etc.

I have been taking BSM for about two weeks now--and am keeping my fingers crossed that something wonderful is going to happen. The possibility of surgery to remove my fibroids totally scared me. I was scared not bec. I didn't want to remove the fibroids, but bec. I knew that there was a better way to handle the problem. Additionally, my doctor kept telling me that he was 90% certain that he would be able to remove the entire fibroid throught surgery; however, not once did he mention that the surgery indeed guaranteed that the fibroid would not grow back once removed. Luckily I discovered the BSM through this site and have been taking it since. The everyday bleeding has ceased, and I can finally say that I had an almost normal five day menstral flow. After all of the intense bleeding--when the initial bleeding began on day one--I was so scared that I was going to bleed so heavily. Now, I am confident that next month, I will have a normal flow. My rec. to anyone is---schedule regular/routine sonagrams. Don't let anyone talk you into surgery until you are completely certain that the fibroids are indeed in your way or are not shrinking. Last but not least, I just would like to greet everyone and highlight the fact that being able to share our thoughts/feelings/experiences on line like this is simply priceless. We are able to communicate and we are able to enlighten--what a powerful TOOL!!!
