Thanks! I have used "Calm" by "Natural Vitality" but it is just Magnesium. Maybe I should try tis one by Biologics? I also think spraying my body with Mg oil has helped me probably because I absorb it better than through all the supplements I have tried! And I was told to look into Dr.Carolyn Dean and she also recommends Mg with taurine in it (Magnesium taurate) so I had read about Taurine somewhere and have been taking that 1000mg a day.Just went off the "flecanide" as I couldn't stand the way I felt on it anymore! And it didn't keep the afib away any longer than it was when I only took 1 tablet(50mg) so I'm not taking 2 anymore and plan to get off the 1 if I get better results with these supplements! I can always take the "flec" if I get the episode to get me back to NSR.I did do that before but docs convinced me that if I took everyday, I wouldn't get it as often! Well, that didn't pan out now did it! So let's hope I can keep it at bay wuth supplemants on my own.I do take low dose betablocker at night for whatever it's worth! Don't know if it helps or not!
Keep posting your results! Thks!

Thanks for your post.
I have had cardiac problems since birth but have been with all types of arrhythmia for the past three years. I am in my thirties and like everyone on here it can be debilitating. I have found this site very helpful and have had molasses which worked like magic.
Although I have respect for my cardiologist I have carried out my own research and have found Coconut water works wonders. I cannot recommend it enough. We are given medications and though they all have their function they are not a cure. Sometimes they do more harm than good and I know this from experience. They also steal nutrients and fluids from our bodies. There is a link between electrolytes and our normal heart function. I started looking into dehydration and went from there.
I hope you are feeling ok now its good to know none of us are alone in this. Keep positive!

I was having lots of PVCs at night, every night. I believe they were brought on by stress, but I've had problems with this type thing for 30 years. However, they were not much of a problem after menopause....until a several weeks ago. Then WHAM! Every night!! For hours!
I read a lot of posts on this site, and took to "heart" your advice. These are things I tried and what worked best for me;;
The Single best thing that seems to work for me is HEART CALM by Vita Biologics, 3 times a day. It is Magnesium combination with Potassium, Taurine and CoQ10. I tried other magnesium supplements, but this combination seems to work best. BY FAR!!
Also, I got HAWTHORN HERBAL TEA by FLora on amazon.com, which contains; Hawthorn leaves and flowers, Hibiscus, Hawthorn berries, passion flower, licorice root, roasted chickory root. The bags are individual wrapped and fairly large to make a large mug of tea. I also added a tea bag of Chamomile with it. I happen to grow Lemon Balm, so I usually put a small handful of lemon balm in also. But I had tried the Chamomile and Lemon Balm together many times, and the HAWTHORN TEA seems to make the difference. HAWTHORN is a good heart builder.
The other thing I take is a couple droppers full of Motherwort extract. Although I had found Motherwort to help a lot over the years, it was not touching this problem by itself! (the last few weeks)
And one more thing I started doing is MAGNESIUM OIL during my bath time. I could not stand to spray it on my body dry- as it would itch and make me miserable. I found if I first washed my upper body and rinsed, then sprayed over my chest and upper arms- rubbing it in, then took my time in the bath, it did not itch at all, and I when I dry off, I leave the chest area wet with the MAGNESIUM OIL- as it should set on body for 20 minutes or so. The magnesium oil had NOT relieved the heart palpitations before I added the HEART CALM, however- I wasn't able to spray much on until I learned the trick about applying it to wet skin.
I believe the main thing that is helping and has almost completely stopped the problem of arrhythmias at night is the HEART CALM magnesium combination!! The very first night, after taking the HEART CALM and the HAWTHORN TEA, I had much fewer heart palpitations. I'm still doing the other things above, and eventually will drop off one of the things above, but will not quit taking this HEART CALM! If I run out of tea (or forget to drink it- HAWTHORN), I will notice if that makes a difference or not.
I am so delighted to give report this good news. I read it all here on this forum.
One thing that did not help by itself for me- was the blackstrap molasses (or any type) I don't think it had enough of what I needed, plus the sugar effect may not be the best thing for night. I tried that for several nights before I read about and ordered HEART CALM- and did not get relief from the molasses.
So, I take one Heart Calm in the morning, one in afternoon, and one an hour or so before bedtime.
A word of caution about the drug CIPRO. (for bacterial infections) It can cause heart rhythm aggravation and even a different type of rhythm problem. I found that I can not take that drug. It also causes headaches and stomach bloating in me.
HOPE THIS HELPS ALOT OF YA'LL!! My heart doctor almost laughed in my face when I suggested that I might need more magnesium or something lacking!!! Wait until I tell him the difference this combination is making! When EVER I decide to go back. Why is it that they give magnesium in hospitals for heart problems, but laugh at taking magnesium supplements when you're not at that point of severity??
I confirmed about the magnesium supplementation in book called The Magnesium Factor just this week. I may post another post on things I found out from that book.
Sorry this was so long.

In any case, I developed palpations twice- once when I was on a water fast (which a cardiac technician suggested. was because of electrolyte imbalance). The second time there was no obvious cause so looked up earth clinic and took some apple cider vinegar and it helped quite quickly.
It would be good if people have accurate diagnoses for what they have and then be able to test what works, e.g., ACV. I suspect that I may be prone to electrolyte imbalance but I have no proof or certainty about that:)
Sea Salt
I drink Hawthorn tea every day to help me with heart palpitations. I tend to get them mostly when I lie down. Drinking the tea has eliminated most of them and when I do get them they're not as bad as before. (I have a mitral valve problem.) I recently had a bad spell one night which I think was because I had eaten little too much almond butter. Hope this info helps.
Sea Salt
Right now I'm trying the CALM plus Calcium (it has magnesium in it and couple other things), and a supplement of Mag/Cal/zinc. Also trying the Apple cider vinegar, twice a day in a little apple cider, and 1 TBL, twice a day of black strap molasses. I'm also on a beta blocker- twice a day (Sectral)- been taking that for 25 years- and every time I try to get off of it, the heart starts racing- so it really does help.
Also take very mild doses of Clonzepam when especially needed. Must be careful not to take that too often though- or it becomes ineffective and habit forming. Although, my doctor said it's good to take it for a week or so when going through a bad stressful time.
Calcium Magnesium
Claire Weeks has some good books out (very old ones) about the heart being "sensitized" from anxiety or stress, and once it gets that way, it takes weeks or sometimes months to get it back to relaxing, not releasing the chemicals in body. I need to re-read those books. I am going through a lot of changes in my life right now. Not the woman "change" though- I'm 59. But several others in my life....that could have brought these on at night- when my body is tired. I've had problems with insomnia for months or longer, but did not usually have PVCs with it....
Thanks again. any other comments highly appreciated!!

Friends, keep posting what works for you. I need to know. I've fought this for 30 plus years, but the last few weeks it's gotten much worse- esp. at night. There are a lot of changes going on in my life right now. Although, I don't think I'm upset- there probably is anxiety going on.
One other thing I've noticed is; if I feel "bloated", that seems to bring the PVCs on in spades!! Alka-Seltzer can help, but I've also found GAS-X or something similar may help.
thanks for any input!! I'm getting tired of taking hours to go to sleep because the arrhythmias are keeping me awake. I awake in the morning feeling fine (after they finally subside enough to get to sleep)

I Googled "natural cures for cardiac arrhythmia's and found this site. We had "Calm" in the house but I never took it. After reading this blog, I decided to give it a try. All I can say is after a month my arrhythmia has all but disappeared. I am doing the ACV and molasses regimen as well. Doing 4 - 6 grams of C with Lysine. Got some "MagTech" caps with triple magnesium. Take 4 of those a day. Also recommend Astaxanthin too.

For example, as arthritis is a mineral deficiency disease, it is ideal to take BSM and it indeed relieved me of pain and arthritis for many years. I still take BSM and as long as I do, no more joint pain. I think it was suggested in the booklet on BSM to include ACV as well especially for cysts and cancer. It had great success since BSM dries tumours so an invasive treatment is not needed in the end. But there were more benefits, for the brain etc.
Just to mention that it was delightful also to see you include Dr. Sircus' transdermal magnesium treatment.
Well, I treasure these two booklets and wish you all the best.

I'm 64 and have suffered occasionally from arrhythmia since my 30's. During these years the arrhythmia only lasted at most 2-3 days. I'd only have an attack maybe 2-3 times a year and they were never really bad.
About 6 weeks ago I had the worst episode I've ever had. This one really scared me. I had the racing, skipped beats, weak beats, shortness of breath and low energy. As before, I expected it to end in a couple days. Well it's been 6 weeks and it's pretty much been going on since it started. It's been mostly mild to bad; and everything in between. I've had days without symptoms, but they were few and far between.
My flare-ups generally start when lying down. This last week, I almost dreaded going to bed, knowing that I would most likely have a bad episode. Being able to get a good night's sleep has been difficult.
I've been putting off going to the Dr. because, as many have indicated there's not much help to be gained and like most have said, I'd end up on drugs with unacceptable side effects or even worse surgical procedures or pace maker. I'm just not ready for that.
So I began my quest on the WWW and found this website along with others. However, this site is by far the most informative. After reading I decided to try some of the remedies others have had success with.
My only regret now is that it took me so long to search for and find relief.
I stopped at the grocery store yesterday after work and bought ACV, molasses, magnesium and cayenne. I'd had arrhythmia all day and was feeling miserable. I got home, took two tablespoons of molasses, two teaspoons of ACV, 200mg magnesium and cayenne.
In less than an hour I was feeling better! By bedtime almost all symptoms were gone and I had a normal heart beat and only a skipped beat here and there. I got my first good full night's sleep in a long time. I'm going to have to work with the cayenne though, the dose was too much, at least for me, and I had some diarrhea.
This morning I woke up feeling better than I had for several weeks and no symptoms. Before leaving for work, I took two tablespoons of molasses, two teaspoons of ACV and 200mg magnesium. I've gone the whole day and never once had an arrhythmia episode. I even had coffee as normal this morning.
I'm thankful I found this site and hope that others will find help here as well.

Another problem source to consider is Parasites, especially Ascaris aka Roundworm. If you have indoor/outdoor pets or are around tame or wild animals as a hobby or trade, you are likely exposed to parasites. Ascaris stages are very damaging to arteries and the heart. Someone only days ago posted here on E.C. of a recent heart surgery or ablation and after recovering from that procedure is back to the heart pains which she has now found are caused by parasites (is doing para cleanses now).

I am 30 year old runner (15 years o training) and I have had arythmia problem for 5-6 years. I have irregular heart beat after end of the training (not during) sometimes when I stand very quickly or lay down from standing postion - my heart stops and beats very slow but very strong and there are some extra heart beats. During the stress there is the same situation. Lot of circumstances when I have it. I tried lot of magnesium - didn't work. Suplementation with vit C B Q10 CAL MAG D, MAG, ZInk, Kelp, selenium, chrom with wanad - most of them from nutrilite. Nothing has changed. My heart beats slowly but very strong after my entrance on the second floor upstaris it stops then it beats irregular- I don't feel tired by my chest is doing everything incorrect. during that I have something like reflux but with empty bubbles of air - nothing else. I also tried Taurin and Argin from about month - nothing changed. Do you have some solutions for me?? I will be very glad and greatful of every opinion. My e mail is: nogaje(at)o2.pl

I'm not sure where I posted my supplement conversion, but those dosages look low. More like 3 gms Taurine, 1200mg Mag, 4000 mg Haw, and a few other things.
Yes, you have to be committed to this or you will be waiting some time to add the Flec, seeing that your blood is thinning with Mag and HR is lower with Hawthorne, it will interfere.
16 hrs is not long in AF. I was in once for 14 days, no clotting and certainly no stroke. Sounds like some other issue going on with her.
My supplement usage is very low now. Mostly doing C 4000mg, little Mag a bedtime. B12, fish oil. Taurine and Haw occasionally.

I didn't know taurine counteracted MSG. I found out about taurine on a running site. This runner said it cured his arrythmia. I tried it for a couple of months and continued to have my episodes so I stopped. But recently started taking it again. I have the 500 mg also. I've always thought MSG was a problem for me, a trigger. Whenever I eat chinese food, soups and other stuff with MSG I seem to have a problem. I read all labels now. I'm surprised your husband even goes near it, I don't anymore. But I guess if the taurine cancels the effects then why not. It does add flavor.
Bought some CoQ10 today. I'm trying everything, getting desperate to find a cure for this. I take so many supplements now. I do feel better in many areas since I started taking supplements. I think when you exercise aggressively like I do you lose a lot of nutrients through sweat, etc. I always thought I was getting enough through food but I think I was wrong. I now feel better, sleep better, think better, less stressed, since adding supplements. Just wish the darn afib would go away. Like so many other problems I've had in the past I usually find the answer at some point.

I am glad you are finding alternative ways of looking at your health issues here. I have been posting and reading (mostly reading) Earth Clinic for years now! Amazing how fast time goes by.
Re E.C.: there are so many people on here that are MUCH more informed on natural cures than I am. We all share what is true for us, and people can either take it, or leave it...the point is sharing our experiences and attempting to maybe help even one other person. Nothing is written in stone for each individual...nor should it be!
Doctor Blaylock is an interesting read. Also, look on youtube for some talks by a Doctor Frank Shallenberger. He has some very interesting lectures as well. Not all will apply to you, but the ones that do, are just awesome.
MSG and glutamates....horrible stuff. Taurine (an amino acid) counteracts MSG. It competes with it in your system. My husband would get heart palpitations after eating a French dip with the au jus at a certain restaurant. I tasted the au jus, and it literally burned my tongue. Not because it was hot...because it felt like so Damned CHEMICAL. So anyway, that was when I looked up what counteracts MSG....turns out is it the amino acid Taurine.
Because my husband continues to eat fast / ie CRAP foods....I make sure his daily vitamins include a 500mg of taurine daily. He has not had another horrid reaction for a couple of years now.
I am rambling...just wanted to say that I am glad you found Earth Clinc, and welcome aboard!

Didn't see a reply button on your post so went to the next one down. Not sure on how this site works just yet.
Anyway, thanks for the reply. I will try another 200 mg of magnesium as you suggest and monitor. Today I took some others advice and bought some ACV and cayenne pepper, just to try. You never know when that one thing may make a difference. I will also look into your suggestion about serrapeptase (never heard of it). I like your other suggestion about the cervical spine. I've had problems in my neck area in the past, mind pain and stiffness, and had considered that to be a possible problem. Sometimes get numbness in my finger tips too. It may be worth checking out and getting an adjustment in that area.
Again, thanks for the tips. I love these kinds of sites. I've solved more problems on the internet. You never know when you'll come across that one bit on information that makes the difference. Think I'll keep visiting this site. I'm always having one problem or another that I would like to improve. Sometimes I have some things to share also. Not sure if they allow links to other sites here. Some sites I've visited claim that glutamate is a big problem. Found a nice lecture video of a Dr Blaylock on this topic, He calls them excitotoxins and in high doses they can penetrate the blood brain barrier and cause a wide range of problems. Let me see if I can post the link. If the site doesn't like them then they can delete them I suppose.
Scroll down this page a bit to get the Blaylock video, pretty interesting:

It would prove advantageous to broaden the scope of your heart support nutrients w/ advanced nutraceuticals like Carnitine, CoQ10, and d-Ribose. Dr Sinatra goes into some detail on these nutrients in his publications and media presentation; along w/ warnings on the dangers of statin drugs for reducing cholesterol.

Info Fyi...54 Year old, not super fit, not super unfit, non smoking woman here. Average person, average weight. Moderate drinker.
I get low heart rate (48 BPM) and heart palpitations. It's weird, when my BP is high, I have a low heart rate, when my BP is low....the opposite. I notice that my heart rate picks up if I eat something. Maybe it is a blood sugar issue?
Since I began taking 40,000 units of Serrapeptase about ten days ago, my blood pressure has been WAY lower, and NO palpitations! From what I have read about Serrapeptase, it makes the blood thinner, and helps clean out the arteries by consuming fiberin. Something you may want to google....Serrapeptase.
I have also been upping my magnesium, (Threonate and Malate) and taking at LEAST 500mg a day. As a man, I believe you could safely take 200mg more than that, until you have loose stools, which is the most reliable way to know you have reached your limit. Mg is also complimented by vitamin B6. Read up on that too if interested. There are Many co-factors for magnesium.
Another thing...consider chiropractic for the Vegas Nerve. I also started getting my upper back (C7) adjusted two weeks ago after reading that may help some people with AFIB. My upper back has been a source of misery for me for decades....and I was thinking...even if it didn't help the palps, maybe I could get some back relief. It is helping both, I believe.
Just some alternative type of things to consider, and possibly "Google". I know how awful palpitations are, and hope you figure yours out! Good luck!

I have had Arrhythmia issues for years, never knowing what would bring it on. I recently went on a high fat diet that included avocados and nut and seed butters all high in potassium. My arrhythmia came back strong so it would come on whenever I went to bed. I tried all the things mentioned here and they didn't help. Then I found out about Hyperkalemia, top much potassium in the blood. I looked up the potassium content of the foods I was eating and cut out all the high potassium ones. My arrhythmia didn't appear that evening and hasn't since. It's only been about a week but I think that was what was causing mine.
As I'm writing this I'm in afib now. Should be stopping soon, it's been about 23 hours. When it happens my hr gets as low as 37 bpm. Normally it'a about 48-60, lower at night, higher during the day. Not sure if the cayenne or other remedies would work for me. Probably will need a pacemaker at some point. Just hope I figure it out before that. If there's an answer that is. Do either of you think I should try to double my magnesium doses, maybe up to 600 mgs a day? A little concerned about too much. Maybe I worry too much. Oh well good luck to all you folks. EDTA has been historically used to clean the arteries. Nattokinase has obsoleted EDTA. Unless there is a blood flow problem, I wouldn't think this would work for Arrhythmia.

I have fairly high blockage on descending arteries and get breathless easily, was 65% after NO intervention during an exam. That was 6 yrs ago. I continue along my merry way without stents etc and do Yoga, take nutrition and the occasional glass of wine weekly. I am trialling EDTA powder orally and, other than clearing out the bowel, can't assess any other benefits over 3 weeks. Take about 1500mg in divided doses over 24 hours on empty stomach.
You mention Serrapeptase - taking it for 6 months. How do you evaluate the blockages have cleared - you mention running etc. Did you have an angiogram to confirm?
Would you share the amount you took, and similarly for Nattokinase.
Many thanks.
For the user who mentioned homeopathic remedies I would love to know the names and dosages that worked for you. Understandably its different for each person but seeing a Homeopath may help me also.

I would now recommend two great products, Serrapetase removes anything nonliving from your system and arties, scarring from heart attacks, etc. And Nattokinase will remove blood clots. I am waiting on my first order of Nattokinase to arrive, and I just quit Serrapetase as I feel my system is super cleaned now. I want to see what affect the Nattokinase will have on arteries in the brain and possible headache cure and varicose veins. Doctors in Europe & Japan are using these instead of doing by-passes, angina, etc. I used the Serrapetase for about six months, and will use it occasionally in a lower 1/2 dose and maybe every 3 months, I will use it for a month.
I want to calm some fears for pacemakers & wires and stints, Serrapetase had no affect on these items in my veins or heart. I didn't short out or anything. BUT it did a job on plaque and I can tell the difference. I went from a 1/2 block a day to 2 miles, and can run up and down my stairs like a 16 year old. I am 68.
I thank Arginine for giving me strength. weight lifters use it too! ACV & Highlands pills for stopping leg cramps. Good tip. Take along some highland leg cramp pills when you walk. Your legs won't feel tired. And dilate before you go.
Just a WARNING!! Don't use these if you recently had any surgery or getting ready to have surgery. They can stop healing.
A good morning drink to clean arterys & end hardening, is to use 1 8oz warmed glass of water, add 4 tbsp lemon juice & 2 tbsp. honey.
A good night drink, 2 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar in 4-6 oz of water. Ends those night or early morning leg cramps forever!! If you feel any body cramp durning the day, use this method. The cramp is saying give me calcium, magnesium & potassium, one of those is deficit.
Wish you well!!

I had A-Fib, took all the meds, to no avail, and then had an ablation, having it all return in a month. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm quite an internet researcher on natural and alternative methods of health care, so now I'm doing all the natural things to help my arrhythmia. I take Chinese meds with Dan Shen in them, which really help, the L-arginine, and taurine, in large amounts, which also help my Fibro problems. I take a ton of supplements, which includes hawthorn, cayenne, salvia, which is the Dan Shen. I'd rather take more than not enough, and the Chinese doctor and herbalist said you can't take too much. the fish oils, etc. and the regular regimen of multi's, etc.
When I have an episode, I take two droppersful of the cayenne extract in a little water, and sometimes, add Ylang Ylang essential oil, rubbing it over my heart, and on the heart vitaplex, which is listed on any site as for arrhythmia and I've also taken a homeopathic called Aconitum Napelus only as directed. I've read other places that this can be helpful.
And the sorghum is good, as well. I also have magnesium oil that I rub over my heart.
In saying all of this, I guess I'll try almost anything, as it is a fearful thing to have your heart racing and out of rhythm. Maybe one of these remedies will help some of you.
Well, here we are at the beginning of another new year. May all of you have a happy and healthy one.

2) use of Transdermal Mg ( Mg Oil Spray ) on top of taking the pills will speed up the build up process.
3) Epsom salt bath or foot soaks (Magnesium Sulfate) is cheaper and would also help. Eat Magnesium rich foods in addition, but know that Mg in food will not be enough. Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and greens are rich in Mg.
These forms of Magnesium will have favorable reviews on Amazon by people who have used it. Use of Magnesium supplements promotes sound sleep, relief of nervous tension, anxiety and "hundreds" of health issues. Do Search on Magnesium Deficiency.
