About a month ago was when i first realized that things werent normal.. i went to the doctor & sure enough genital warts. she put acid on them which was the most traumatizing thing my down below parts have ever felt. she said i might have to come back for more treatments but it was so god awful i decided i HAD to look for a natual remedy. i found this website & finally felt like i had some hope. i tried it out & whether it was from the acid or the ACV things thankfully seem to be clearing up. but it leads me to some questions. i dont know how graphic i can get, but some spots are almost pruney now, you know like when you sit in the tub for too long.. i dont know if its because of all the foreign substances down there or what but it makes me nervous. also what i dont understand is that i got my pap tests back & they said they were normal also my std tests came back normal. i dont understand how thats possible when i clearly had genital warts at the time. how will i ever know if the virus is gone if my tests come back normal like that?? i hope someone can talk me through this. im thankful the only thing thats wrong with me is this but still, its been one of the most emotionaly draining things to deal with not having anyone to talk to about it. im so happy i found this website!

Hello Maddy, ..... I'm not quite sure, but I've heard HPV virus may lie dormant in our system as long as we live without ever manifesting itself, or just doing so periodically, depending on our immune system...

The HPV virus that causes genital warts is different than the one that causes cervical cancer. There is no way to diagnois HPV genital type until you have an outbreak of warts.

OMG the ACV really works I found out 7 yrs ago that I have HPV. I have tryed everything and nothing works till I viewed this site. I thought what could it hurt. I went to the store and bought acv for $1.38 and I have cottonballs and papertape (medical). I soaked two cotton balls and taped it to my boy over a big cluster of 20 warts. I only applied before bed time. Well two days later I could nota stand to put it on any more so i left it alone for a day every thing turned black. On day three the scap started to peel and there is nothing there. IT IS AWESOME. I can not thank all you guys enought for posting. You all are great for sharing.

First and foremost, I would like to thank EarthClinic and all of my fellow posters. Ok, Now that that's out of the way, here's my story:

It all begins when I began showing some growths in my vaginal area (all external) right after giving birth. At first I thought they (the growths) were vaginal skin tags which are common in pregnant women and are believed to be caused by hormones and excess weight gain. I began reading and searching online for what I could do about them. Upon my research, and reading about HPV and GW, I determined that I exhibited symptoms of GW-- and since a large percentage of genital skin tags are directly linked with HPV, I deducted that somewhere along the line, I had contracted HPV. Due to The stress of the Pregnancy, along with the compromised immune system that comes along with pregnancy- my HPV came out of its "dormant" state. Mortified at my discovery- I began a quest for knowledge and treatment. After reading on the CDC's website that 90% of HPV infestations disappear within two years of discovery--- I didn't feel all was completely lost. I stumbled upon this site while searching for treatment plans. Since DR's can be EXTEMELY EXPENSIVE,I was hoping to find a treatment that wouldn't empty my pockets. ACV was mentioned in quite a few sites, and after reading the posts by all those before me, I decided... why not give it a try- and put the skepticism aside.

The Course of Treatment:
I went to the local drug store and purchased a tea tree oil blend w/ vit. E and other wonderful oils. Then straight to the grocery for a 2 dollar bottle of ACV. Bag of cotton balls and some maxi thins.

I took a warm shower and cleased the area well.
I then made sure the area was clean with some Hydrogen Peroxide..
I placed an ACV soaked cotton ball directly over the growths (suspected warts) that had claimed my pleasure organ for their home. At first It slightly burned...not too bad...yet....
Put on some clean underware (not thongs, or g strings ladies-- good old cotton undies) stuck a maxi pad in there- and wore the pickeled smelling contraption for about 30 minutes.
I then took it off (growths had turned a whitish color) and put the tea tree oil (VERY SOOTHING) blend over the area- and left it alone.
I repeated the process about 8 hours later...this time the burning a little more severe.
I continued doing this for two days-- now on my third day-- the growths have turned black--and are falling out one by one. I will note that ACV burns more with each treatment--but take it with a grain of salt- and if you simply can't bare it... stop, put some tea tree on and try again a little later. (I've had to bite down on a towel to keep from screaming)
This really does work great... and for a couple of reasons- 1) the acidity of ACV is like a chemical peel- and a disinfectant 2) the price of prescriptions is about 300 times more. 3) The humility of the doc's office is mortifying 4) The results of ACV are quick and effective.

Again, there is minor discomfort--- but who cares if it works-
I am not sure of the long term benefits- but will post back in a few months with an update.

I am a few growths away from being growth free..YAY!

Attempting acv to cure vaginal warts but I have started spotting. Not sure whether to stop treatment or not as i've only been doing this for 2 nights. I'm doing both external treatment and ingesting it. Advice?

to michelle from toronto, when u say spotting, do you mean that you have started your menstrual cycle early or do you mean your warts are bleeding externally? where exactly is the spotting coming from? if the spotting is coming from inside your vagina and you HAVE NOT done an acv douche then i would definitely go to the gyno, but if you HAVE done an acv douche i would just discontinue the douche. natural home remedies can be very effective for some but not for all. if you experience any type concerning symptoms then you definitely need to talk to a physician. better safe then sorry. good luck!

I read everything on this site about ACV. I just went to Safeway and bought a bottle. Came home and took a shot, and wrapped my penis. Only problem is that its weighing my penis down so I had to put on some boxer briefs. Now my boxers are soaked and i had to take the dressing off after 10 minutes because i have to go out for a while and don't need a wet spot appearing down there. I will say that the warts that are on my penis that are there and the ones i didn't know were there are a little white so i know this is going to work. I will write more later to let you know how it works out. I do feel a little sick after taking a shot of that stuff.

PLEASE LET THIS WORK!

I used the ACV treat GW over a year ago. I have not had any return since treatment. I used the ACV topically to treat the warts that I could see but I was worried about the warts that I could not see. I started drinking 1oz of ACV, three times a day as I had read that this would eliminate any warts that could not be seen. Sure enough, after 2 days of drinking the ACV, I started noticing little bumps on my labia were flaking off. When I went to see my Gyno she was amazed that I had managed to get rid of my warts using ACV. I kept drinking the ACV for a few months after all the warts had disappeared as I read that this would kill the actual virus that was in the tissue causing the warts. The ACV also has other great health benefits. I am happy to say that I have not had an outbreak since I used the ACV.

Hello, this is T from Chicago, IL. I contracted genital warts from my ex-bf about a year ago. In the shower I felt two small hard growths on my perineum area. My gyn confirmed my own suspicions and fears with a positive diagnosis of hpv (genital warts). I opted to try and treat myself with natural methods vs. over the counter or prescription meds. I found this site called amoils.com. They have a lot of diff essential oils that cure a plethora of ailments; so I bought this product called heal warts. It was to be applied 3x/day only to the top of the wart and in 2 to 6 weeks the warts are guaranteed to flake away and no new wart will grow in the same place again. The product worked just as it was suppose to and w/in about 4 to 6 weeks they were gone. I was wart free for about one year and then I noticed two similar growths on my perineum area again. I started to use the heal warts formula again, confident that it would work the same. I had been using it for about 3 weeks with no improvements and to make matters worse the warts began to multiply and spread. I went from having 2 small warts to having like 10 vaginal warts and 1 anal wart (which I have no clue how I got cause I have never had anal sex). So thus began a new search for a new product that will get rid of these disgusting little bastards. I was ready to give prescription meds a try and then I found this blessing of a site called earthclinic. Many of the people were buzzing about apple cider vinegar (acv) for treating genital warts in as little as 3 days. I was a little scared because many of the comments stated that the acv burns upon contact, but I was willing to try anything. So I went out and bought some store brand of acv, cotton balls, sterile gauze pads and some big Band-Aids. I took a shower and carefully cleaned the area. After I got out I clean the wart area again with some hydrogen peroxide. I then took a cotton ball and soaked it with acv and squeezed out the excess. I put one cotton ball right inside my vagina since nearly half of my warts are right inside and around the vaginal opening. (I suspect I may have warts in my vaginal canal so I will do a full strength acv douche twice a day once I stop my menstrual cycle). I took another acv cotton ball and stretched it out to lengthen it; I then positioned it so that half the cotton was on my perineum warts and the other half was on my anal wart. Next I took the sterile gauze pad and cut it in half (the ones I bought are pretty big) then soaked it and squeezed out the excess acv. I used this pad to cover and keep the cotton balls in place and to cover any tiny warts that I may not see. Then I covered everything with the other dry half of the pad and taped it to the insides of my thighs with the big Band-Aids. I also put a panty liner in my panties as to avoid any leakage. I am not going to lie; the pain for me was an extremely intense burning sensation, almost unbearable. It doesn't burn the good skin, only the warts feel like they are burning. I kept telling myself the pain is the wart dying and being rejected by my body. The pain lessens in about 30 to 45 mins. The first day, I wore the acv treatment around the house for about 5 hours. When I took off the pad off the warts had become swollen and whiter. I took a shower and used the peroxide to clean the area and let it be. On day two I decided to do the treatment before bed. I did the same steps as before and went to bed. In the morning the warts were even whiter, and harder and slightly protruding more as if the wart was literally being pushed out of the skin. Every time I went to the bathroom and wiped I would see little chunks of wart on the toilet paper. Today is day three and the warts are sore and tender and one of them is starting to turn black, and another little wart chunk came off. I will use the treatment again tonight before bed. I have not been super aggressive with this treatment, meaning that I have not been wearing the pad for 24 hrs/day due to the pain intensity. I can only apply once a day for 5 to 10 hrs depending on what I have to do. Many people report that aloe vera gel or neosporin/ A&D ointment work well for soothing the pain and irritation. I will buy some aloe vera gel and give that a try. I can say that I am very confident that with in 1or maybe 2 weeks the warts will be completely gone. Once the warts are completely gone I will try using vitamin e oil to help heal the skin up like new. I will post and update my condition in a week. I really hope this info helps someone, cause hpv is a very scary disease and many can't afford the traditional wart medications. You are not alone in your struggle to rid yourself of these horrid nasty little things and apple cider vinegar is a cheap simple way to quickly get rid of the warts. I must say that even if you have seemingly removed all of the warts with the acv; it is still best for anyone with a positive hpv diagnosis do regularly get check for cervical or penile cancer.

Thanks T for your update, i have been using for 5 days now and still no change, only for the itching is worse, im really hoping that this is the nasty little virus tring to survive but failing !! i cant keep the acv on for long against my skin so am hoping 1 hour twice a day is enough. i am using this called Somoxal also twice a day (got it off a website and not sure if i was done as the packaging and instructions state nothing about hpv or warts ?!) but i will keep trying because of your update, heres hoping in another 5 days i will be celebrating victory :D

Hello all, i am finally back to give a final update. By 11/24/08 i have to say that my warts were all gone! Sorry i took so long to update. I know most of the people who have posted say that it only took about 3 days for the warts to go away, but for me it took about 2 1/2 months for them to go away completely. I would have to take breaks cause the acv was really irritating; i would have to let my skin heal for a few days and then continue. Also i suspect the longer that it takes means the warts are deeper or layered or are a stubborn strain. But i just kept at it and eventually they went away.

I did have a considerable amount of skin irritation that needed a lot of t.l.c. I would have to stop treatment and use vasaline or antibiotic ointment or sumthin to lubricate and protect the raw areas. Once the skin had recouped and healed i noticed the warts were less and less each time, so i just kept at it until one day the warts were all gone! I have no scarring and the skin is nice and smooth as if the warts were never there at all. I am so pleased for acv and this site. I really hope this information and final update helps others dealing with this horrid problem. Good luck!

i'm trying the acv for my warts. so far it seems to be working, only on the 2nd day. my shaft looks like it's working rather well. but i'm having trouble getting band aids, gauze, etc to stay close to the skin around the base of my goods. anyone else have this problem? i've tried everything. i'm walking around with duct tape and the gauze pads just aren't staying close to my skin. do i really have to sit and hold the gauze or cottons balls for an hour+?

I just found your forum and was wondering what I was going to do about some genital warts that recently appeared. I went out and got band aids, cotton balls, ACV. I initially took a little onto a cotton ball and just applied it for about 10 seconds. No burning but after a few minutes they were turning a little lighter in color. So I soaked some pieces of cotton ball and held them in place with the band aid. I will let you know how I make out.

Okay 24 hours have passed.

What I did was apply ACV to cotton and hold with bandaids. Ouch when you're hairy and go to remove the bandaids. This was/is the most painful part for me. I left this on for 3 hours during the day removed and washed with soapy water. I let about 5 hours go by and reapplied the same technique for another 2 hours washed with soapy water and went to bed with nothing applied. This morning all of the tops of the warts are either a redish brownish or have darkened.

I just showered and reapplied as before. I will update in another 24 hours. So far so good.

I also noticed a couple of more warts that i didn't see before due to them coming in contact with the ACV.

Okay.

3 days have passed. What started out as a couple of warts actually turned out to be 8 at the base of my shaft and one half way up.

The other became noticeable due to the ACV contacting them. Because the 8 were in a cluster I had to treat them as a group and use a whole cotton ball. I used a piece of cotton ball on the lone one.

I would have to say that this works because I just took a shower and admittedly scrubbed thr area and the reddish brownish scabs came off exposing raw flesh. I poured hydrogen peroxide on them and toweled off. Now I am treating the skin with A&D ointment to get rid of the burned skin.

I do have 2 spots that are white bumps so I don't now how these will look in a day or 2 but I'm giving my skin a break before any more treatments. I have also started to drink ACV by adding it to my water bottle so that I get a little all day long.

I just wanted to give an update. One month later I noticed one isolated tiny wart on the base of my shaft. I used a q-tip soaked with ACV and held it there for 15 minutes repeating 4 times for a total of one hour. Then a small piece of cotton ball with small amount of ACV and a band aid to hold. After day one the wart was already dark brown with little irritation to the surrounding skin. I should have eased off, but instead took the agressive approach and repeated the q-tip being held in place for one hour. Big mistake. It ate an acid burn into my skin which is 1/8" in diameter that is taking some time to heal. I am put neosporin on it daily, but it doesn't look great. So a word to the wise, go easy it will work. No need to be aggressive.

I have had HPV for 4 years and I've tried everthing under the stars to eliminate it. I've tried all of the following and most I have done in combination: Aldera cream, condoylx, compound w, freezing myself with compound w, freezing at the dr's office, and some super acid once (ouch). Not one of the above was the answer. This hpv has taken a huge toll on me over the last 4 years and I haven't ever been able to get back on track. Praying and worrying haven't helped at all either. I started ACV three days ago. This was my strategy, although they're not all gone yet, it is sure promising. Take the bulb of a q-tip and soak it ACV, then put that in the center of a band aid. I try to get the band so it's less sticky, so I put it up against a bath towel a few times. The ACV burns/itches a little but not very much compared to freezing them yourself. I leave the soaked cotton tip against the area of concern for about 3 hours. The warts will turn white and macerated. I didn't think the next part would come true but today the little ones started turning black!! Seriously, this is no joke and I hope right now you're smiling and feeling a sense of purity again. I had warts in places I didn't even know. Once I heal completely from the latest self freeze I plan on soaking an entire gauze and doing it to my entire penis. This posting and all the information gained here was a true blessing and I'm not religious. Good luck and trust me, I'm a pessimist and this really honestly works!

A few days ago I discovered your website. I have been suffering with internal and external anal warts that return after surgery or freezing. I tried ACV and it removed them within 3 days. I applied ACV onto tissues and applied directly to the warts and area that they were located. Despite the pain, I have to say this is the best and quickest method I have ever tried.

Can you elaborate on how to treat internal anal warts with ACV? I was able to get rid of my external warts in the anal area with the ACV method and was thrilled, but then I found warts INSIDE my anus and I don't see how i can effectively treat them inside. Any idea?

I don't really know how to check inside, but maybe with TP or a tampon you can apply it inside? I'm trying to find a way to do it because I had surgery for it and I'm trying to figure out how to do ACV inside because the ACV did wonders on my external ones. I realize this is 8 years later but hopefully someone else can comment on this!

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I used ACV with cotton balls over my warts for maybe two weeks, and it did cause them to turn white and then come off. But my warts were just below my belt line down into my pubic hair and now the areas where the warts were are just flat pink spots that still itch and look just as bad. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello Josh, You could try some Aloe Vera gel as an ointment, I keep repeating myself (you can read some replies I've made in this forum), but it soothes and heals,..... specially burnt, sore skin, during and after the ACV treatment...

Apple Cider Vinegar treating genital warts

This site and your postings have been great!

I must have got infected with genital warts (hpv)by the ex-gf about 2 years ago. After a rather scary mis-diagnosis (herpes) at hospital(!), I consulted a general practitioner doctor to double check and he said it was hpv. He confirmed with a biopsy sample after burning off the warts. After a recurrence I used Podofilin, but they came back, so tried Aldara (Imiquimod) but that was expensive, caused irritation and didn't work. I then tried some oil I bought over the internet from a company in USA. The oil did get rid of some warts, but not all. Then I found this site ...

Early this month (Aug 08)I used ACV on specific warts on my shaft using cotton balls and bandaids and they seem to have gone. But something didn't look right on the head. So then I did the full gauze bandage wrap and plastic covering method too. I was amazed at all the tiny little dark spots that appeared in different places after 4 days. ( I used a magnifying lens to get a good look). That was 4 days ago and now the dark scabs are healing. Will keep you posted on results. For me, 4 days consectively of applying ACV is probaby the limit.
Thanks to all.

Apple cider vinegar is awesome - caught genital warts from my ex wife? and have been suffering from it now for close to 4 years, just one close to the base of my unit. Then it spread to the foreskin :(... I think because of my poor diet and a lot of stress. Started searching on the net and found earthclinic, as the last thing I would ever do is front up to a doctor. But anyway - ACV used was the normal supermarket varity, bought some hydrogen peroxide 20vol and went to work. With a bit of trouble - used small bits of cotton cloth soaked with the vinegar and let the foreskin hold it in place with a bit of tape overnight. True to form the warts went white, next night warts went yellow/grey with no stinging, I should have just kept up with that another night... and then I decided to use the peroxide to clean the area - what a shock. When using peroxide I think you should use a diluted version of it. The stuff I used had pretty spectatular effects the warts fizzed and bubbled where the warts were wow!!. a couple of hours later I ended up with burns over the areas where Id used the peroxide. I spent the next couple of days in a bit... alot of pain. But overall it was well worth all the effort and pain. I now have healing - peeling bits with a few dimples where the warts were. Well happy... I still have one to treat but will hold back on the peroxide I think. Thanks Earthclinic!...
