When logged in to EC today, I was trying to Reply to a post (https://answers.earthclinic.com/sudden-onset-arthritis-hands.html) and had checked the checkbox to "Would you like to be notified via email when someone replies to this thread?". This question is in red type.
However, when I clicked on "I Agree" (to post the reply), I was taken to a blank page with only this message, "We were not able to add it to your "Watched Posts".
Please advise.

You can also view Bill's remedies by clicking on his name in another section on our table of contents box on either the right or left column in the meantime. When on the EC website on my iPhone, pressing the "Like" button (the heart) on posts removes prior "likes". The "Like" button works fine on a computer. Probably just a slight difference between platform code. Thanks!

Are you referring to the automated Google ads that show up on the articles? Please send us a screenshot or the URL to the ad so we know what you are referring to and can block those ads from showing up on the site. We don't see any quit smoking ads. You can try clearing your history and cache and reloading Earth Clinic and see if that helps. Alternatively, view the site using a private/incognito window on your browser.

NOTE #2: Also, your PASTE function does not work inside this text box. After I paste a screen print and click on the I AGREE button, I get this message: Don't encode images in the post.
EC: Thank you, Wendy! Fixed so the link works. The home page desktop and home page mobile are two different files which is why the mobile worked.
Note: We removed the image uploader ability last month because it was being abused and is not really necessary for EC posts.

I looked up chondrodermatits nodularis helics which had one mention but then it said 'page not found'.....please can you guide me to any remedies you may have?

Thanks for pointing this out. Yes, sorry, there is a page but we forgot to add .html at the end of it in 2015 when we created the question page so it led to a 404 page not found error message.

Can you please provide a few more details?
1. You are referring to our mobile phone design, correct? It has a different layout than desktop computers.
2. On mobile, are you referring to the Recent Posts page or the Ailments index section, which lists medical conditions by letter?
Please let us know what you'd like to see to make it more user-friendly and I'll discuss with our programmer. Thank you!
P.S. If anyone else has design requests or finds anything difficult to navigate, please chime in.

Mobile users:
If you are mobile and want to see the desktop version, scroll down the menu and click on View Full Version. That will also show you the full posts on the recent posts page rather than just the titles.

EC: Hi Diane and anyone else experiencing this issue,
So sorry about this.
We are working to fix this issue and contacted Google a couple of days ago about it as well since none of our current fixes are working. It is only an issue for Safari browser users on desktop computers. If you have another browser on your computer like Firefox, try that one... you won't have an issue. We'll keep working on it until it gets figured out.

Worked on this the past two days with the programmer and we're very happy to report the issue is finally fixed! What a relief! That one was tricky!

Hi Susan,
Thank you for the feedback. We have received a bunch of emails about this issue today.
Google recently rolled out vignette ads for desktop users and it appears you can't close some of their ads. This is happening to many websites, not just EC, so we need to alert them to the issue.
Also, we have a separate folder for mobile users. It's great except that things get complicated when we're trying to send people to a particular post instead of just an article.
We will look into both issues. In the meantime, if anyone else is having issues with those google ads, please add a reply to this email
We've had Google ads on the site since 2002, by the way. We were one of Google's first ad publishers if you can believe it!
Those ads have helped pay for the cost of the site, writers, moderators and programmers over the years.

On the Latest Posts page the Editor's Choice icon (Lugol's Iodine for Covid-19 Fri, 23 Oct 20 10:07:26 -0700)
is layered above the menu. It floats on top when you scroll through the menu and covers the links.
Also if you click that post's link it takes you to the post, but opening and closing the menu brings you to the top of the page instead of back to the post (which is at the bottom of the page).
EarthClinic is one of the best looking sites on the Net. That logo is *perfect* :) The blue and green combined with the black and white. The sans serif, no caps... The little white dude with the arrow. Whoever designed that it is *sweet*! The little leaves embracing the Earth....

Yes, noticed that about the Editor's Choice floating at the top today too. It's on his "to do" list.
We've had that exact same logo since 2008, by the way! The font changed 2 years ago, but nothing else.

EC: Thank you for letting us know. There are a few people who send in posts using small fonts and we don't always catch it in the approval process. Fixed the 3 recent small font posts from Cheryl in NJ.

I have seen this small font occur on some of my posts and I don't think it is caused by me changing my font size, because when the reply window opens, all of the print that is already there is smaller than usual and everything I type goes in smaller also. It only happens once in awhile and usually gets corrected in time.

Thanks, Art. Our fabulous programmer just added something to catch and flag a small font on a post. Hopefully, that will fix the issue in future posts. A smaller font typically happens if someone copies and pastes a sentence from another website or document. If you don't use Control SHIFT Paste, it will copy the code from the other source, sometimes causing an issue on the Earth Clinic side.
Latest Posts, Latest Answers
As you may have noticed, pages on Earth Clinic can take a very long time to load. Today we figured out, after the site was running particularly slowly, that we have too many databases pointing at the Recent Posts page, which is slowing the entire site down (answers.earthclinic.com and ted.earthclinic.com). To fix this, our fabulous programmer has separated all the Latest Posts sections.
Please make sure to click on Recent Answers because that's where all the new Q&A posts will be. We have 16 new replies from our newsletter just in the past couple of hours in that new section instead of in the Latest Posts section. Sorry that you have to click on another section to read posts, but now the site loads much faster!
You can find the links on the far left corner for desktop computer users under "Recent Activity".

Is that too simple for man? Because it IS that simple. Why? Because it has to be. It MUST be that simple the animal kingdom doesn't have expert know-it-alls or internet. It MUST be that simple because life is primarily made up of simple beings who, sometimes, need it.
Man's observation of animals is where the very concept of medicine came from. LONG before it was realized or monetized - it was simply and naturally utilized.
Animals don't know a cold from cancer or pH from pizza hut but they know food from medicine and they know what they need. They look for it. They hunt for it. They will even dig and/or runaway in search of it, if they can. And, if they can find it, they eat it or they eat strange things that resemble it or they apply it to their wounds or they roll around in it when they're sick or injured and not surrounded and confined by man, cut off from their own "simple" nature.
Animals eat food but when necessary, they find and take their medicine. No money, no doctors, no experts, no ego, no pride, no fear of embarrassment. Just nature.
It IS that simple because it has to be.
It IS simple because The Creator is smarter than we are.
