My 8yr old standard dachshund has recently been diagnosed as diabetic. The internal medicine vet said, “He will get cataracts from the diabetes. It's not a matter of ‘if', it's a matter of ‘when' “ I am anxious to try castor oil as a preventative! Just a thought about people who might be struggling with eye-droppers. I think a bit of castor oil on a cotton ball and rubbed across their eye will easily do the trick.

I hope you found a way to help your cat already! IDK whether L-lysine can help with a UTII or not, but this article shares several types of L-lysine for cats, & one of them is powder:

Pumpkin and Bentonite Clay for Puppy Diarrhea

We have a 12 week old Ridgeback and we were a little too liberal with the yogurt (and it had cane sugar, probably not the best) in filling his Toppl, this resulted in very squirty bowel movements and a distressed pup. We used about one "tablespoon"--aka the next one up from a breakfast cereal spoon--of plain, pureed pumpkin. No sweeteners, no spices. NOT canned pie filling. We mixed that with Maybe a quarter teaspoon of bentonite and fed it by itself, no rice or chicken (just didn't have any handy). Within two hours we were halfway there, his stool started squirty and then came out just soft. So we gave the same again. His next bowel movement looked great! I want to emphasise we knew this was not likely to viral or bacterial as we had been using the Toppl lots to distract and give him food puzzles for brain work.

If you have just these two handy and furbaby just ate too much rich foods, give it a try!

Chlorexidine Gluconate sells in big gallon jugs Online!!! Wonderful in the bath for their yeasty feet or soak their feet in Chlorexidine mixed with water in ice cream pale...so you can lift paw into it.. Also use More ACV if putting in food for bigger dogs. I've done 1/4 C for 70 lb dog... and I Use FOR my Canine ear infection: ""****Monistat from female aisle****""(generic Brand is ok)...but only use generics for "Monistat only" not other brands bcuz of side ingredients. BUT Rinse off a face wipe then wipe ear out to get Any brown out of their ear FIRST. Do Not confuse that with any lysol cleaning wipes..These are For human Skin Wipes I mean...Chlorexidine Wipes are Best... Even one dot of brown Could be yeast and then apply monistat. Sometimes you must use an oil like coconut oil comes hard from grocery stores to get brown dot loose Using face wipe...Maleleuca ointment or TC3 oil any form through maleleuca only buy from online or individual. In ears or paws topically of course. Plz post all this helps

Cat's epilepsy seizures - looking for natural solutions

Hello everyone,

One of my cats has an epilepsy seizure roughly every two months. His vet said that it's best not to give him anything as the seizures are infrequent. While I agree, I wish I could do something so that he would not have any. I've given him CBD oil for several months, with no change, so I've stopped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

In the post dealing with dogs and epilepsy, I read that acupressure helps. Would anyone be able to tell me on which points of my cat's body I should apply acupressure?

Turmeric and Burdock Root for Mystery Lump on Dog's Neck

I have an 8 month old German Shepherd Puppy. Over a month ago we noticed that she had a large lump under her neck, off to the side. It actually looked like she had a tennis ball under the skin. It did not seem to cause her pain and wasn't affecting her activity. I took her to the vet. The vet drew out some blood from the area and concluded it was a hematoma. This seemed odd to me, but given how much she wrestles with our older German Shepherd, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility. The vet gave her a course of antibiotics. I went ahead and used them because I was about to go out of town and felt I needed to cover my bases. The swelling began improving and within a week or two she looked normal.

Another week or two passed and suddenly the lump was back! Again, it looked like she swallowed a tennis ball. It felt doughy. I am not convinced it was a hematoma, and oddly the antibiotic seemed to work. At the same time, it fit the description of a lipoma, though that seemed odd for a puppy.

I started giving her turmeric and burdock root twice daily. Each is in pill form. I fold them into half a piece of cheese and she takes it easily.

Within a few days the swelling was subsiding. I think something may have drained; she had some evidence of fluid on her neck. (But, then again, she is a farm dog and it could have been anything! )

I still do not know what she had. Infection? Lipoma? Something else?

I do know that next time there is a mystery lump, my first remedy with be turmeric and burdock root! (She is about 50lbs. I gave her one of each pill twice a day.)

I washed my little chihuahua in it and she's itching more between her shoulders. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. I've used medicated shampoo and natural remedies. I'm not even sure it's mites at this point. It's making us both insane.

Cat With Autoimmune Deficiency - Please Help

Cat has Autoimmune Deficiency

Our 6 year old female calico cat has suffered from autoimmune disease ever since she was a kitten. She is worse when the weather is hot. When that happens, her nose has sores, and is at times bloody. We have noticed that her feet sometimes have sores. During the hot weather, we take her to the veterinarian for a shot. I don't know what it is that he injects her with, but it usually helps. The bill says "allergy injection." A couple of times I have seen the word "convenia." Is there a natural remedy that can help &/or cure her? Should we give her colostrum pills? Maybe she didn't have colostrum when she was born. A man I worked with found her on the side of the road when she was about 5 weeks old, so we took her in. She does not suffer from autoimmune deficiency during cold weather. We live in Texas. Thank you.

I would have that dog on MMS as soon as possible. I am just getting started with the Borax remedies, but MMS is very good at cleaning up the blood stream and destroying parasites and many other toxins for removal from the system. My elderly lab would be long gone years ago if not for MMS/DMSO after a decade of tickborne illness, misdiagnoses, and harsh antibiotic prescriptions from the hot shot vets that left him blind, deaf, and brain damaged.

Go here for an excellent group that can help you get going.

Just start off with only a pinch in his water then increase it slowly. I only ever do about three or 4 pinches when I'm at max.

DMSO Turned Around Elderly Dog

DMSO on 16+ poodle

11 months ago my 16 yo toy poodle became very weak and she had trouble holding up her body. She cried lightly in my ear. She was in too much pain. The vet wanted to run many tests on her and X-rays but felt she would most likely be put down. I took pain medication for her but she wasn't well enough to take it. Her left front leg curled up and froze in that position. Then each of her three other legs stuck out like branches and froze. I held her up over the grass so she could go and held her 24/7. At this point I thought I had nothing to lose and went to the Horse Supply and Feed Store and picked up the only DMSO they had. It was mixed with aloe and was a gel. I dabbed her left front leg with the DMSO gel on a cotton ball. Within 90 minutes the leg fell back into a natural position. I continued to hold her and waited until the next day to dab the DMSO with a cotton ball down the length of her spine from neck to tail. Within a few hours all three legs that were frozen like tree branches fell back to their natural position. It took a few more days for her to hold up her body and a few more days to be able to walk up the grassy hill.

I had just moved into this condo complex and I didn't know anyone. The neighbors watched this whole thing play out. My downstairs neighbor saw my dog walking around and asked how on earth she is still with us. I told him I used DMSO. He is a chemist and very familiar with it and asked astonishingly, “SOLVENT? You used solvent on your dog?! ” I told him I did and it worked. Had I known how amazing it really was I would have used it sooner. Now I dab her hip joints, shoulders, neck or legs when needed. It felt like the miracle my pooch and I had prayed for. It's used on horses. I have no idea what for I just know it is remarkable.

Yunnan Baiyao Helping Cancerous Tumor in Dog

Yunnan Baiyao for Hemangiosarcoma

Our sweet red heeler (13 yo) was feeling lethargic and had mostly lost her appetite, and on the second evening of this we noticed a slight abdominal swelling. After bringing her to the vet hoping it was just a stomach ache, and then being sent to the emergency vet, we discovered she had suffered an abdominal bleed. They found a mass in her liver as well as additional nodes in her liver and one in her lung through a CT scan. Diagnosis likely Hemangiosarcoma in liver with metastasis to lung, not a candidate for surgery or chemo and a very poor prognosis, vet said that its hard to tell but she may only have days left. This is a very aggressive cancer that is prone to causing internal bleeds, and not usually discovered until a bleed happens. She put her on Yunnan Baiyao tablets, a combo blend of traditional Chinese herbs that are supposed to help stave off the bleeding and possibly slow the cancer a bit.

Our 42 lb dog is on a maintenance dose of 1 pill 2x day, her bleeding had slowed or stopped by the time we brought her home (they had dosed her during her overnight stay as well while she was still actively bleeding). That was 5 days ago, I've been feeding her cooked chicken livers and red meat to help build her blood back up and she is almost back to acting her normal self. Abdominal swelling has resolved and her gums are pink again. Because of the nature of this horrible disease (having no way to know when a bleed would happen) I wont really know if the Yunnan Baiyao is helping her, but the vet said there would be no ill effects using it. Nothing to lose. I very much appreciated the advice (especially given this is a conventional medicine vet) and wanted to put it out there for other people. Hoping this may buy us just a little more time. I have slowly started essiac and some other supplements as well, to hopefully slow down the cancer.

As a side note, the vet showed me the tiny red "emergency pill" in the center of the package. The package is mostly in Chinese and I wouldn't have known it was there otherwise. I fortunately have not needed to use it, and the vet said she wasn't sure of its efficacy, but just wanted to let others know it was there.
