H. Pylori Cures - Alternative Medicine

Last Modified on Jun 18, 2015

What is H. Pylori?

Helicobacter pylori is a species of bacteria that can cause stomach infections, typically acquired during childhood. It's possible to have an infection and not get sick from it, and as a result it is believed that over half the world could be affected by H. pylori. How do you get H. pylori infections? H. pylori bacteria is easily spread through contact with contaminated saliva, vomit, fecal matter, and also through food or water.

H. pylori symptoms may or may not be present in those with an infection, but it is a common cause of ulcers and may cause aches or burning pains, nausea, vomiting, frequent burping, bloating, and weight loss. Once identified, H. pylori is easy to take care of.

Hi Yvette; The H. Pylori section here under ailments includes about every treatment I've seen, that's been used effectively against this parasite, which also robs us of vital nutrients, B12 being one of them. (low stomach acid often allows pathogens to invade, and low stomach acid makes it difficult to absorb nutrients. ) Sometimes weight loss in general, and muscle loss in particular may be a sign of B12 deficiency. A sublingual lozenge of methylcobalamin, at about 1000 mcg. or so is fairly easy for most people to absorb.

Tired of suffering from Helicobacter Pylori? Well I did and I managed to kill the monkey too!

The diet: First change your diet, eliminate all sugars, refined flours and rice, and eat a low-carb diet. Don't eat foods that promote processed low carbs. Never drink anything but spring water!

The repair: Take a teaspoon of licorice powder twice a day. In the morning one hour before your meal and just before you go to bed. This will repair your stomach damage.

The kill: Eat 3-7 whole organic black peppar balls and chew them after meals to take down the imflamation. Boil one liter of water, add 100g of crushed red hot organis chili peppars and 200g raw organic cranberries. Let for five minutes and then let it cool so it's easy to drink. Start with a half glass twice a day morning and night. In time you can increase you intake.

Tips: If you have high blood pressure or hypertention replace the licorice powder 100% DGL. Do not take acid reduction medicine. Sleep slightly upright to get relief from acid reflux. Stay away from red meats, milk products and all processed foods. Always eat a RAW vegetable high in enzymes 15mins before every meal. Eat small and more often. DO NOT USE tooth paste, brush your teeth with baking soda instead as tooth paste kills even the good germs and enzymes in your mouth. Take probiotics, find the good train with the proper release system. Good luck!

Hello and thank you for sharing! Two days ago my tests got back and it seems that all my misery is caused by H. Pylori.

Can you, please, give exact info about the preparation of the "kill drink"? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again! S.

Rather than pepper as "the kill" you could try colloidal silver which is mentioned often in this site. My three fold remedy is as follows:

1. Three tablespoons of high ppm colloidal silver morning and night on empty stomach. The silver solution will kill the infection.
2. DGL tablets fifteen minutes after the silver. Three per dose twice a day. This is a licorice extract and is effective in healing.
3. Aloe Vera fifteen minutes after the DGL. Take five tablespoons per dose, twice a day. All three on an empty stomach. That way the effect in the stomach is maximized.

Do this for two months. Next, while doing this, consume no coffee of any kind (get off acidic drinks) and no carbonated drinks. No acidic foods like tomatoes, chili, hot peppers while the two months of treatment is going on. Over thirty years of recommending this remedy I've never seen it fail. By the way, my silver is home made using filtered water and a few grains of salt to allow for conductivity. In minutes you have a cloudy solution. I dilute with distilled water until nothing can be see in the glass container and no metallic taste is apparent. That diluted content is about 200 ppm silver atoms to a million water molecules.

Christine,

It was disappointing to read your post; it felt like a job to those of us seeking alternatives to Western medicine. I can't imagine that you have tried every natural remedy known and that you are open to non-medical solutions. Many of us cannot use Western medicine due to its side effects and others of us would prefer to try holistic remedies our ancestors used to stimulate our innate healing powers. If you do not believe these work, what is the sense of posting?

Mastic Gum Kills Helicobacter pylori

was published in the New England Journal of Medicine. The researchers found that even small amounts of mastic gum (1 mg per day over a course of 2 weeks) could cure ulcers and kill h. pylori. Later studies confirmed that mastic gum has antibacterial properties. It also is antifungal too. It is thought that mastic gum works by causing changes to the h. pylori bacteria so it dies.

The studies found absolutely no side effects of taking mastic gum for h. pylori treatment!

I refer to Christine's comment - Natural and Homeopathic Cures work equally as well as conventional medicine and are less invasive to ones system. It's important to note, not everyone's symptoms are the same and more often than not patients are misdiagnosed when they complain of their gastric symptoms. I have suffered with Gastric for years and was treated for Acid Reflux up until recently, when I was diagnosed with the bacteria H-Pylori that causes Gastritis and Ulcers by a Homeopathic specialist. 10 weeks later, I am delighted to say I am on the road to recovery, thanks to various herbal medicines which helped erridicate the H-Pylori bacteria. Ira's post covers a multitude - following a very strict diet like she says is critical and doing so a few months after one believes the H-Pylori bacteria has been erradicated is highly recommended to help the stomach heal completely. It will be worth the sacrafices in the long run. The bacteria hides in the mucosa/lining of the stomach and if not totally eradicated, it will return.?. I highly recommend homeopathic treatment and finding the right specialist is key rather than trying to cure oneself.

Mastic gum has been effective with me. I am taking antibiotics prescribed by my GI/Gastroenterologist plus natural treatment from a natural practitioner. The mastic gum bottle finished and I was waiting for my natural practitioner to get another bottle and I did not think much of it. That night, I had a very bad night, going to the bathroom every two hours. The next day, I drove for 1 hour to buy mastic gum and I am feeling much better now, the antibiotics have not worked so I will get in touch with my GI/Gastroenterologist for further treatment.

Hi Teammon38, replying to your questions re: the I... H... it is a brand of Probiotics, VCO is Virgin Coconut Oil (Unrefined)and the ACV is the Apple Cider Vinegar.

And yes I do believe it will help your daughter I got the 3 x teaspoons of VCO a day from something I read on the internet written by a Natural Medical Practioner for treating Helicobacter Pylori, I think that if anything I would definitely use the VCO and the Probotics (good bacteria to fight the infection) every day without a doubt. If your daughter is very young I would start very small and build up the dosages and just use common sense after that. Even with myself I just played with the dosages daily and as I said I do believe it is the consistancy of taking them everyday no matter what the dosage is. And with the ACV also start very small but in hind sight I feel even if you do not use the ACV it will still work with the Probotics and the VCO. (these are the important ones).

I also tried Manuka Honey, high Vitamin C, Olive Leaf, silver and a lot of other vitamins and the only thing I got was out of pocket expenses.. One other thing I would suggest though is to pay attention to her diet make it as healthy as possible try and cut down on the sugar and too much dairy and drink water.

I really hope this helps and makes sense (my first posts) good luck.

Abbie, I came across a very interesting article yesterday. It talks about antibiotics and its effects on the body. Everytime you take antibiotics unless you take probiotics and even garlic you are going to be left with a yeast/fungal candida problem. This will wreak havoc on your body.

Dr. Orian Truss had HUGE success with treating people with an iodine protocol. Once he fixed the candida problems he was amazed at how many other problems vanished.

Hi Abbie - Probiotics are incredibly important for anyone suffering from H. Pylori but especially for someone, like your husband, who has been given many rounds of antibiotics. According to Dr. Mercola, the best time to take probiotics is first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, with 8 ounces of pure water one hour before breakfast.

In a book I'm reading, Digestive Wellness, the author suggested: DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice) 760 mg, three times daily; mastic gum, 1 gram daily; aloe vera juice, taken after each meal; oil of oregano, 200 mg three times daily.

Also, I think someone else mentioned taking coconut oil for its anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties. Good luck! Bess

[YEA]  I hope my post helps someone. I had Helicobacter Pylori for almost 2years, I am not sure how I picked up although I do suspect it may have been at the nursing home where I spent many days with my mother before she passed. Anyway after 3 failed rounds of antibiotics I resorted to antibiotics which they used to give H, Pylori patients back in the late 70's made up at a compound chemist, you take 17 antibiotics and acid lowering drugs per day. I made it through one day and had a bad reaction which resulted in a migraine for 1 week. After I recovered, I tried to accept there was nothing I could do and live with it (as one doctor told me), so I went home depressed and feeling sorry for myself.

Then I thought I don't have to accept this I wasn't born with it so I can get rid of it. Long story short I started taking Acidophilus "I.... H..... " sold here in Australia the dosage is 1 per day but I took 5 - 6 per day for the first week then alternated between 1 - 4 after that (Please note this is the dosage I took I am not suggesting that you take that many) its what you feel comfortable with. Then I took VCO, the dosage varied from 1 teaspoon 3 x times a day to sometimes just 1 or 2 tablespoons the trick is to be consistant and take it every day no matter what dosage. I also took ACV with the mother regulary at first then every other day. And I am happy to say I cured it I no longer have Helicobacter Pylori, I have been tested and it came back negative and you couldn't wipe the smile off my face. If you have had no luck with antibiotics don't give up- this way may take a little longer but it was worth it. PS. I still take Acidophilus every day (1per day) and the occaional VCO & ACV.

For twelve weeks transient fever, nausea, pressure, heat and tenderness in my abdomen and chills. I put on five days of Cipro then later prescribed Erthomycin for ten days. Then one day I had uncontrollable chills pressure in my abdomen my weight had fallen to 105 The dr really concerned he ran all the tests CAT Ultrasound for every organ, uterus, appendix, liver, kidney uterus colon all fine. As well as my bloodwork was perfect. So he suggested a food diary and liquid fast. And going to GI specialist. First I did the a self test which is 1 tablesoon each of Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey in 1/4 water if your stomach calms down they you have low stomach acid and need to take Hydrochloric Acid with meals. So I believe I have H. Pylori and will need to be verified by GI specialist currently I'm getting relief from acidophilus pills, plain yogurt, I'm taking 1 tablespoon of Organic virgin coconut oil four times a day. I'm also drinking coconut milk and coconut water they have both been helpful in calming my stomach.

How long before you were cured? Am treating my daughter with kefir (raw milk), raw eggs, tumeric, grapefruit seed extract, VCO, Lugol's, chicken broth (homemade), DGL, zinc and our usual supplements of E, K, C, liver, fermented cod liver oil, magnesium, D, and B12. She has active Eptein Barr at the same time, so a double whammy. Chest pains led us down a path of investigating heart issues for a few months. Finally at my prompting a stool test for parasites revealed H Pylori... The cause of chest pains and constant headaches. I've only been treating for a week. Mood seems to have improved as well as lessening of burning sensation. Nothing concrete yet. That's why I'm wondering how long it might be before she's rid of the bug (or, it's brought into balance.)

Lanzoprazole will stop the pain but might also allow for candida over loads. I aimed at stopping the mad pain 1st .

Now I am treating with cabbage slices I add some tartar sauce cos I cannot eat raw cabbage alone. Cabbage juice helped once I took it but candida die off made me for slices.

Cassise tea (burdock etc) is what I am having morning and night now to strengthen my white blood cells.

Candida has been eatting my progestrone so I have introduced maca, fenugreek, kelp, fennel seeds, flax seed grinded and 1 teasp of each in water and I swallow. So my waist is having some defination again.... still a bit bloated.

Taking 5 htp 100mg for depression caused becos candida grew when I used antibiotics to kill hpylori sucked up progestrone and estrogen dominance took place and extra estrogen turned to testorone .... aggression, out of shape and depression ( My GP prescribed a depression capsules for me but I aint taking them as side effects is suicide; and I aint going leaving until another 100 years lol)

I eat Amala (cooked dried yam flour) and spinach soup everyday with sun dried fish.

I use at least 3000 iu of Vitamin D everyday, Vitex, Licorice root, methyl B12, Viridian soul food ( spirulina, alfafa etc) Milk thistle, Magnesium, Sutherlandia 350, Ginkgo 6000mg, CLA 1000mg, feroglobin, Vit C, primrose oil 1000mg everyday.

Every other day I take Black cohosh, Donq quai, Red clover, Skull cap.

Dry brush skin towards my heart, rub palm oil and soak in a tea tree and 2.5 cups of epsom salt bath water once a week.

Please the above is not all for H-pylori but I believe the candida , wacked hormonal balance are all as a result of h pylori or trying to cure hpylori with antibiotics.

I have listed all this so it can help someone to view it all from a holistic point.

Since taking the cassise tea I mentioned to my husband I still feel fatigued but I feel like I can see my self better, my vision is clearer and I feel more alive. Its only 3 days of cassise tea but be careful with cabbage juice because of candida die off so as not to stress your lymph, kidney and liver.

I also take catuaba tea as it seems to calm it all down.

Plenty of rest.... In 3 months I will go for a test... hopefully be healed from hpylori, candida and the hormonal imbalance and be able to start trying for a baby.

smiles.....

Hi Lucy from Brisbane, your post has given me hope. I am from Victoria and have had a diagnosis 2 years ago wiht Heliocobactor, along with gastritis. I suspect they have been there for many years.

I know I..... H.... stands for, which strength did yo buy and did you take them before, after meals or away from food.

It is hard ot know if my symptoms are gastritis or HP. I get the fullness, nausea, bloating, cannot eat and drink together, cannot eat raw onion or garlic and capsicum(raw or cooked). I get a 'stuck' feeling in my stomach.... Admittedly I am improving, my symptoms are not with me daily but when they come, there never seems ot be any pattern.

I have also stopped soya milk(which I have been drinking for20 years) and drink raw cows milk and slippery elm seems to help.

A few questions that some-one may be able ot help me with. Does gastritis occur for everyone who has HP? Does any one have any remedies for gastritis, is it curable?

I would love ot know how to prepare Kefir. thank you, mary

Hey guy!
I first found out I have the nasty pylori bacteria about 1.5 years ago I have been trying some tiny changes my diet and some oils that never helped me for long. It helped me for few weeks and then I felt the gas, pains and mental unclearity again. I started reading more and more about it. Trying to figure out how to kick it out of my life for good. For the past 2 months I have tried those 4 things that REALLY makes me feel so much better! I have not checked myself if I have it or not but I just feel good now!
1. I started taking zinc-carnosine twice a day. A little expensive pill (abut $40 although you might able to find it cheaper- depends on the brand). have been taking it for two months now.
2. Coconut oil- two spoon twice a day.
3. acidophilus (good bacteria for stomach)- once a day one pill
4. THE MOSTIMPORTANT- RAW FOOD DIET. I have been a vegetarian for the last 10 year so even for me going completely raw was hard. (no coffee as well).I started educating myself and searching more and more knowledge about this raw food vegan movement. I feel so great, so energized. My digestive system has been amazing for the last month.
I would recommend YouTube about the Raw vegan diet. Watch people such as FreeLee, FullyRawKristina, Megan Elizabeth and more.
I am not a doctor of course and this is personal to my case but I so know how it feel to be in this awful pain. Give it all a 2 months try and I really hope you would feel the difference!

Just a note about testing positive for H-pylori, if you have ever had it your blood will always test positive, as it is an antigen test, but at different levels. Levels of 8 or higher should be followed up with a breath test which will return a positive result only if you are infected. A negative result on the breath test is an indication of not having it. My blood test result was 7.8 five months after triple therapy and a breath test was positive. I have been prescribed quad therapy but am having good results with mastic gum and apple cider vinegar so am delaying the quad therapy.

Does anyone else out there have the experience of having their CEA rise drastically after or during treatment of H-pylori. As CEA is also a cancer indicator this increase is disconcerting especially when the doctors don't know what is going on and my symptoms are improving. Normal post colon cancer blood testing started showing increased CEA about a year ago (8 vs 2 which is normal). CEA rose 1.5 to 2 per month until a gastroscope showed gastritis and a biopsy found H-pylori. Triple therapy resulted in doubling the CEA to about 20. Then the next test showed an increase of 1.5 and I started a regimen of baking soda to ensure no yeast infection in my blood with the result of a spike in CEA to about 28 followed by low increases for a couple of months. I was retested for H-pylori (blood and breath) and tested 7.8 and positive respectively. I then started a mastic gum and apple cider vinegar regimen and after ten days saw a drop in CEA of 1.6 and in another 2 weeks an increase of 17 in the CEA. In the last four weeks the symptoms have abated but the CEA reading of 56 with the doctors not having any explanation is concerning me. Any explanation for the change in CEA levels would be appreciated. Thank you. Al

Link http://www.mygutsy.com/is-h-pylori-the-cause-of-allergies-brain-fog-hypothyroid-autoimmune-disorders-adrenal-fatigue/#sthash.ZcPalv9r.dpuf

---------------

"I would NOT add anything acidic to drop the pH in my personal opinion. I will explain why I am saying that by explaining my personal theory on H.pylori that seems to be holding up to the test of time and having positive results?I believe that the H.pylori may be coming out of hiding due to the program. H.pylori makes an enzyme called urease. This enzyme uses arginine from the body and makes a product to help to neutralize the stomach acid. While H.pylori may initially be attracted to a gut that has a higher stomach pH, and while it is shown to be a factor in acid reflux, GERD, stomach ulcers?it actually will not live in an acid environment. That is why it hides in the mucosal cells lining the gut. I believe it is in part so hard to eradicate as it is hiding in those mucosal cells. The idea of the baking soda which has worked well is to trick the H.pylori into thinking the pH is less acidic so it will come out of hiding and so the other supplements (Peptimycin and HELX- these are the supplements she uses which contain many of the herbs I am listing) can reach it. When the pH climbs like you are seeing, I believe that represents H.pylori that has come out of hiding, out of the mucosal cells and is making urease to neutralize the stomach acid so that it can live there. I feel it is now more vulnerable to eradication, but it also may be causing more gut pain. This is why we consider the H.pylori program when the gut pH is very low (an environment that H.pylori may be attracted to) or when it is high (indicating H.pylori is making urease to increase the gut pH to neutralize the acid). What has been seen on a number of tests is that the pH will swing from very low (ie around 5) to very high (closer to 8 ) for the same individual."

* a gut test determines the h.p of the stomach.

*So basically- don't use acid- use baking soda to "provoke" the h. pylori out of hiding so you can kill it with supplements and herbs. Baking soda is used to trick the h. pylori that the stomach is "safe" and base (not acidic)."

Thanks for the information.......Diane

Hi Linda

Could you please tell me which antibiotic you were given. I have had pylori in the past and it is recurrent. I suffer from chronic asthma and when the pylori returns, which it has at the moment, I feel so ill and just feel I don't want to live any more and am trying to eradicate this awful bacteria for good. Does anybody know if you can get the stool antigen test done by your own doctor as I have asked my GP and they will only carry out the UREA breath test, but only through a consultant, which then takes weeks to organise and I can't wait that long as I am so desperate. The pylori was better for a time and I felt better, not 100%, but better than I had been, then it returned. HELP!!!

Hi Amanda,

I'm sorry to hear about your condition. Unfortunately, I have been told that the breath test is the only accurate test for H. Pylori. The other tests are only a waste of time and money. I've had some weird symptoms in the last year and have felt awful so I am thinking about going for a test myself. My dad swears up and down that I have H. Pylori but we will see. I hope you feel better soon. Try to hang in there. You are not alone! Erin

Hi, I discovered I have H Pylori about 21 days ago from meeting a friend's friend at dinner, with whom we both identified with each other's stomach ailments--she told me she had H. Pylori and suggested I get tested for it. The doctor ordered a stool sample test--yes, it was very embarrassing, but a few weeks later it came back positive for HP. I was on 14 days of: 4 Amoxycillin/day; 2 Biaxin/day; and 2 Nexiums/day (I'm still taking 2 Nexiums/day) even though I've been off the antibiotics now for about 7 days.

My symptoms have been persistent bloating, fullness (even first thing in the AM when I get out of bed), Nausea--before I did antibiotics I was having some pretty severe stomach pains. Also, I'd get a burning sensation/tightness in my upper abdomen (above belly button under breastbone), besides feeling so much discomfort.

It's been 21 days, and although I have good days, I will get extremely bloated and nausea. I've read a lot about Peptol Bismol, so picked up some tablets. I don't take them consistenly daily, but am willing to try anything to speed the cure. I don't want to OD on them, but I may take 3 in a day, but not sure how much of the chewable tablet reaches deep within my stomach.

I've read that it's not easy to cure--before my doctor left back to the states, she put an order in for a retest in about a month after the antibiotics.

I hope and pray I'm cured of this parasite, because it's made my life so uncomfortable. I've read that Bismuth can kill the virus, so the fact that I took 14-days of antiobiotics, I'm hoping this is true, and I should probably double up on teh Peptol Bismol.

Gosh, I wonder HOW in the WORLD I came down with this parasite! I have lived overseas (2 years in Japan, and now in Italy for about 2-3 years).

Does anybody know if this HP also causes halitosis (or halatosis?). Also, I'm wondering if my husband should get tested because his breath stinks, but he doesn't have stomach issues like me, but I've read this is contagious.

Your thoughts, input and advice, and help are greatly appreciated!

Oh Sarah, a big yes, it can cause very bad halitosis. Check the h. Pylori ailments page here on EC as there are some remedies that people have had success with. My husband had success with colloidal silver. Also have a look at turmeric. If you take a couple of remedies as well as your currant treatment you may have much better results in the long run. Within the last 2 years I have had H. Pylori my doctor for a year told me I had acid reflux and was on omeprazole which for a little bit I thought it was helping me and later found out it became worse. I changed doctors and ended up getting an endoscopy which proved my problem. April 2011 my doctor put me on omeprazole amoxicillin clarithromycin for 2 weeks and the symptoms went away. I did a stool sample after my 2 week treatment and didn't hear anything back, meaning I was fine right ? A week ago I started feeling the same problems as before, stomach pain, fatigue ect. I need to schedule another appointment and go back but I don't want to take meds if it doesn't help me. I read some natural remedies people have posted but not sure which ones are effective.. Any answers ?

Warm lemon water in the AM
2 oz's of aloe vera juice throughout day
2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar before bed

Mastic Gum

3 1/2 ounces of broccoli sprouts a day for at
least 8 weeks to kill off the H. Pylori

epazote tea 1 fourth cup of a day for 3 days and make sure you do it a second time

Manuka Honey UMF 10 or highersuper neti juice
What has been proven effective ?

I had h. Pylori bacteria and was on ranitidine and other antibiotics for a few months. When I finished taking the medication, I consulted with a naturopathic doctor and decided to use a natural homeopathic method to heal my stomach, strengthen my immune system, and eliminate the bacteria from returning. I currently drink 2-4 oz of 100% aloe vera juice daily and apply magnesium chloride oil topically to my body daily. I have also used manuka honey successfully to ease the discomfort in my stomach. I feel alot better now and do not take any medication. My energy level has increased and I can eat food without any discomfort. My overall health has greatly improved. I am a believer in God and know that prayer works. Along with my health regimen, I pray and read bible scriptures regarding healing. God is good and provides us with natural foods, herbs, and plants to heal our bodies. I hope this helps someone out there.

One year to be diagnosed with H Pylori. I had all the test, Colonscopy/endoscopy 2 x blood. 3 parasite stool check, even a tested for H pylori all the tests were negative. My symptoms : nausea, chills, abdomen pressure, stiff neck, slight back pain, rash, nausea, sometimes shortness of breath, light- headed, my hands and feet tingled, fatique lymph nodes were swollen. weight loss to 99. susceptiability increased had sinus, yeast, bladder kidney infection. I went to dr for kidney inflammation (H pylori can cause issues with Kidney because it create Ketones) there is a pattern here. My medical dr did a quick blood test for H. Pylori, ten minutes later the dr announces " positive for H pylori. " Finally diagnosed! Right well infectious disease dr says he only looks at the stool tests and the stool says negative. The ND did a breath test it was super high in Hydrogen he dignosed it as SIBO guess what H pylori releases Hydrogen gas! I think it just depends on the dr on what test they like! Being severely ill for 1 year - not working or leaving the house I have no time to lose I HAVE to take antibiotics.

My dr says the antibiotics should get rid of a lot to the symtoms within seven days I prefer natural route this is what I have been taking coconut oil 4 times a day, drinking 1-2 drops of clove oil in water through a straw drink it all all day to bombard the H Pylori. The key is to drink real green tea to get eliminate the biofilm that protects H pylori then drink more clove oil or some other item to kill them! I took Ted's advice on the one day cure (you can look it up) I just took 1 turmeric pill with curcumin every hour for 11 hours straight and on the 12th, 13th and 14th hour I took dissolved aspirin 325 mg in half glass of water. The next day I had no more symptoms. But the day after that I did not feel so great so perhaps turmeric for three days straight maybe you could kill it. Ted also writes that H pylori has a weakness 1/4 tsp borax and 3% FOOD GRADE hydrogen peroxide 3%

The first blood test indicated I had high bacteria positive for H pylori the infectious disease doctor disagreed, he ran two other test to check the vaildity of the blood tests well the stool test indicated negative on h Pylori. The pathology lab from a tissue sample from my stomach indicated negative for H pylori the 4th stool test was negative.. So was the blood test a false positive? Everytime I ask for an explanation for the false positive test the dr seemed perplexed? Why would a breath test be more accurate then the tissue sample from your abdomen?

I have been taking ACV for almost a year and had bought a bottle while on vacation, had used about 6 tablespoons out of the bottle and got severe diarhhea and vomiting and stomach pain. Went to ER and was given antibiotics and pain meds was run down for about a week. When I arrived home from my vacation was feeling better so I started taking the ACV again (same bottle) and within a week I had the same symptoms all over again. Went to the Dr. and she said I had H. Pylori. Can I have gotten it from the ACV, i.e., a bad batch? I have never had this problem with ACV before and now I am afraid to start taking it again. I also threw the other bottle away and bought a new one.

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  I was recently diagnosed with gastritis with the H. Pylori bacteria. The gas is dreadful, as you may already know. GI put me on the dreaded triple threat of Plyera and Protonix. I have not taken drugs in quite some time but was so desperate for relief i tried it. I have since stopped taking the pump inhibitor. My question is that I have tried the ACV and it seems to work quite well. But i realized that I have to take 4 to 5 teaspoons several times a day for true relief. Is this too much? And how long should it take for permanent relief, if you know? I'm dying here. Thanks, any response would be appreciated.

[NAY]   ACV is in no way recommended for advanced cases of H. Pylori, at least for those of us with peptic ulcers. Using ACV, regardless of dilution, only enflames the symptoms further and is actually quite painful to swallow. The only relief I've found so far, even after trying acupuncture, ACV, various probiotics, and of course dietary changes, has been from Entocort/Budesonide and Nexium/Omeprazole.

[NAY]   H. Pylori releases urease as a byproduct. Urease cuts the mucous in your stomach. This allows your stomach acid and the bacteria itself to burrow into your tissue. Vinegar is an astringent. It wastes mucous. ACV will only exacerbate symptoms of h. pylori, and may even make it worse.

I was a practicing alcoholic who had not gone more than a week without drinking for 3 years, so my digestive system was under a lot of stress, and this rebalancing remedy helped me along tremendously during my path to recovery. [YEA]  I've been diagnosed with H.Pylori a while ago and refused to see the doctor after one round of unhelpful antibiotics. My stomach would sometimes bleed a little. I could detect it from my saliva and stools. But it wasn't a big deal. Last week, I was trying to finish my dissertation and was really stressed. My stomach started bleeding constantly so I figured it probably turned into an ulcer, though I don't know the exact diagnosis. I started using ACV+baking soda (which had cured my acid reflux and stomach problems previously for 8 months but had then stopped working) along with Cayenne Pepper. I mix all of them in a bit of water and take it on an empty stomach. Within a day or two my bleeding stopped and I generally feel an increased sense of well-being. [YEA]  I too have suffered from h pylori for some time now. The dr prescribed a shitload of meds that made me feel worse...nausea, loss of appetite, extreme weight loss, low energy.. The worse part was the antibiotics didnt even help. Refusing to put myself through that again, I read through all these comments and came up with what worked for me. All the ingredidents I found from my local food store. First it is vital that you switch up your diet. Anything made in a factory, dont put it in your mouth.. I elimiate all processed foods, refined sugars, meats, dairy, harmful fats. Basically my diet is organic, vegan. our bodies have the power to heal itself, I truly belive that. Everyday I follow the same regime, and now I have no symptoms, my energy is back, my appetite is back, and I saw results in ONE day!!!! Here is my regime as follows:

Everyday I swallow a teaspoon full of VCO(virgin coconut oil), ACV(apple cidar vinegar), and Manuka Honey (it costs about $50) 3 times a day. I sip licorice tea with ginger w manuka honey (for taste), 2 times a day, a take a probiotic twice aday, and a multivitamin

My diet is lots of green veggies, and fruits, tofu, assorted nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds) and lots of water.

Im not exaggerating when I tell you how amazing I feel thus far, even after the first day, my family was amazed the transition I made. So throw out those meds and put some good ol mother earth back in your bodies and heal yourself!

I have been having heartburn and abdominal pain almost every day for the past 6 years. I have tried Prilosec/tums/mylanta etc but they provide only temporary relief. I have mostly stopped all that especially prilosec. I have been reading the posts from this site. And I decided to take matters into my hands with some decent success.

1) Water : I started drinking around 8 glasses of water per day. A couple of days later, I can observe a significant improvement. Except for frequenting the bathroom, this is a must for everyone who is concerned about digestive health.

2) ACV: I take a tablespoon of Organic ACV with the mother before going to bed. This mostly took care of all my sleep issues.

Besides the above, I have cut my coffee and limited spicy food intake and added yoghurt to my lunch which also helps.

Now I am not saying my ulcer/h.pylori has been cured. But the associated symptoms/pain have been vastly reduced just from the above two solutions alone.

Hi Tommy, My husband made our machine and the silver rods are long enough to fit into a tall jam jar. We would make it using filtered water & it would take up to 20 mins to get the mix cloudy. You give the rods a stir or it sinks. He was taking 2-3 glasses a day. He did this for about 6 weeks, then 1-2 glasses a day for the next 2 - 3 months. We have no idea what strength it was. We learnt how to make the colloidal silver from a very healthy couple in their late 80's who had been drinking 1 glass most mornings for some years. In fact this has been a great reminder as we lent our machine to someone and they misplaced it. So it's time to make another one.

Hello, it sounds like you have a lot going on. Welcome to the site. It's pretty amazing what people come up with on here. Okay, so I'm a big fan of clean eating with some supplements. Because you mentioned nerve issues I immediately think of vitamin B12 which helps your body in so many ways including healing nerve tissue. You will also want B complex to go with the B 12.

Many people need vitamins and minerals to recover from illnesses and from pharmaceutical side effects. Some people do vegetable juice fasting others take multi vitamins and multi minerals while others try to simply eliminate harmful foods from their diets. Things to avoid are highly processed foods, basically anything with refined or artificial ingredients: flour, sugar, aspartame, sucralose, vegetable oils. Try to eat 'living' foods: veggies, berries, citrus, probiotic yogurt, cocoa powder, coconut oil, eggs, grass fed meat, bone broths, raw grass fed dairy products, mushrooms, seaweed, fermented foods like apple cider vinegar and kombucha tea, and lots of spices, garlic, ginger, turmeric, parsley, cilantro, thyme, rosemary, sage, cumin, etc.

keep browsing this site and you will come across many affordable ideas to get well. I like a combined approach of basic clean eating with some vitamin supplements. Oh and exercise. It helps many conditions.

Hope you feel well again soon

Be careful with sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). It is a powerful alkalizing agent but many varieties can contain aluminum. Aluminum is a toxic heavy metal that will harm your body. You probably want to contact the company to be sure, but I use the Bob's Red Mill brand because it is supposed to be free of aluminum.

Baking Soda does not have aluminum in it, baking POWDER has aluminum in it...There is no reason at all for baking SODA to contain aluminum...

Actually, some brands of baking soda use aluminum silicate as an anti-caking agent, same as salt. Be careful what you buy and check the ingredients thoroughly before putting them into your body.

My husband used baking soda due to cancer for a few months on and off, and when ND tested his hair, he had very high level of aluminum. Use of baking soda elevated his blood pressure.

I used antibiotics 4 different times to treat H Pylori and no success so far. Many things such as Cayenne pepper, ACV, Baking Soda that is suggested here to treat H pylori, but it did not help me at all.

H Pylori and Candida both have to be treated either same time or one after another.

Only biopsy will show for sure if you have H Pylori according to Canadian Doctors

Gastroscopy examination in European private clinics confirmed that 2/3 of my stomach was covered with H Pylori over 2 years ago.

If anyone can help with advice to get rid of stomach problems(h pylori, pain, bloating, acid reflex, indigestion)I would greatly appreciate it and will read all suggestions.

Thank you very much.

Dear Julia,

Sorry, I don't have any advice regarding h. pylori treatment, but I did want to address your comment about your husband taking baking soda and testing high for aluminum. Only baking powder contains aluminum, baking soda does not. I researched this years ago before starting an alkaline protocol. If he had high levels of aluminum, it did not come from the baking soda.

PLEASE, PLEASE read about H.Pylori in appropriate section of this site. Everything that you need to know has been ALREADY written!

Is Aluminum the New Thimerosal? google this.

"Aluminum may reach toxic levels with prolonged parenteral administration [this means injected into the body] if kidney function is impaired ... Research indicates that patients with impaired kidney function, including premature neonates [babies], who received parenteral levels of aluminum at greater than 4 to 5 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day, accumulate aluminum at levels associated with central nervous system and bone toxicity .

If the cancer therapy included IV treatments:

..."The second document (see Resource 2) discusses aluminum content in IV feeding solutions (called TPN). The FDA requires these solutions to have no more than 25 micrograms of aluminum in each liter of solution. A typical adult in the hospital would get around 1 liter of TPN solution each day, thus about 25 micrograms of aluminum. The document also states on page 2, "Aluminum content in parenteral drug products could result in a toxic accumulation of aluminum in individuals receiving TPN therapy. Research indicates that neonates [newborns] and patient populations with impaired kidney function may be at high risk of exposure to unsafe amounts of aluminum. Studies show that aluminum may accumulate in the bone, urine, and plasma of infants receiving TPN. Many drug products used in parenteral therapy [injections] may contain levels of aluminum sufficiently high to cause clinical manifestations [symptoms] ... parenteral aluminum bypasses the protective mechanism of the GI tract and aluminum circulates and is deposited in human tissues. Aluminum toxicity is difficult to identify in infants because few reliable techniques are available to evaluate bone metabolism

My husband suffered from identical symptoms. Drs checked from top down and bottom up and found nothing.

After a few years of this they tested for hemochromotosis. Bingo. The condition is found in men of Northern European descent and the body has abnormally high ferretin.

They used phlebotomy to get the iron levels down and watched over it by frequent testing.

You might Google this and ask for a test.

I believe it is Biaxin. It is a very strong antibiotic. I became deathly ill taking it. It mimicked a heart attack in my case. I got the sweats, heart palpitations, had to "evacuate. " Was not pretty. Had to go to the ER.

[SIDE EFFECTS]   My last dose of Bioxin was last night after I woke up with my heart pounding through my chest. That was after the fifth dose of my $128 and change PrevPac.

Broccoli   2  0

[YEA]  Yes, thank you all you guys for sharing this truth that broccoli really cures H Pylori without any surgeries performed! My daugther of 14 years old was suffering from severe H P for 7 days. All medicine didn't cure it. Almost gave up. Then she tried your broccoli method and it works almost instantly! While eating it, she felt the pain just gone almost instantly! After eating the broccoli for the rest of the day, she was cured within that day itself!!!! Our entire family have been eating more broccoli since then to kill all bacteria in the stomach and body. Now even scientists say broccoli can cure cancer, not just prevent it. So guys, please eat more broccoli.

[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]   Broccoli also helped reduce my Hpylori problem, although so have several other things. Broccoli worked in the same day for me too. BUT if you really cook it for a long time, it doesn't help. Just boil it really quick to get rid of any bacteria it may harbor (you never know what the people picking it are like). It should be BRIGHT NEON-ISH GREEN when you eat it. Don't boil or steam for over two minutes. In most cases 30seconds to a minute is just fine, maybe even less than that is needed. It should still be CRUNCHY when you eat it as well. If it is cooked to much it will not help you at all.
