Best Home Remedies to Cure Chronic, Swollen Lymph Nodes

"Lymphadenopathy is a term meaning "disease of the lymph nodes." It is, however, almost synonymously used with "swollen/enlarged lymph nodes".

When the infection is of the lymph nodes themselves, it is called lymphadenitis, but when the infection is of the lymph channels, it is called lymphangitis.

Enlarged lymph nodes are a common symptom in a number of infectious and cancerous diseases. It is a recognized symptom of many diseases," (Wikipedia)

BETTER BUT NOT CURED

Ted from Bangkok, Thailand writes: "Dear Tracee: Yes certain pus, infectious buildup, is often due to the need for the body to rid itself of toxins rather quickly and it is my experience that the common remedy (perhaps only for me!)will usually stop fairly quickly:

1. It is necessary to alkalize in cases of infections, you need to do alkalizing and getting loose stools all in one step. The formula is 1 teaspoon sea salt + 1 teaspoon of baking soda, to one glass of water. This will cause the body to rid of toxins pretty quickly. To reduce toxins release by bacteria, and other things, you can add a drop of peppermint oil if you want. This procedure, at least for me is done when the swelling and things is getting beyond control, such as in your case.

2. Once the body rids itself of the mess, the swelling should be noticeably reduced, faster than you expected.

3. If you can find camphorated oil, or a possibly lavender oil, you can apply it, you need to dilute it a if you are going to use sensitive area to apply to the lymph node area in question using either vaseline, or sunflower oil. These will not only reduce the irritation, but also kill the organism dwelling in these areas.

You need to take at least 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda plus 1/4 teaspoon of citric acid to 1/2 glass of water at least twice a day, once in the morning and once in evening on empty stomach. However, a more useful way is to monitor your urinary pH and make sure they are within the range of 6.5 to 7.35 area. If you are still acid, keep taking more baking soda if need be, or you can take a whole freshly squeezed lemon (looks like a lot) and keep adding baking soda until there is no more fizz and you can take this once or twice a day. The lemon formula will not only control your pH, it also controls the body's antioxidant level, commonly called ORP (oxidation reduction potential) which is measured in millivolts. An ideal healthy body will have a negative millivolt potential, but a sick person will not. This is easily measured with urinary pH.

If you happened to be on a salt free diet, start taking some salt. They are often the cause. If this is correct, then just take only a single teaspoon of it, in one single dose. I have found infections to be in some cases from salt restriction diet. Of course you need to monitor your blood pressure and make sure it is not high, but in practice if sea salt is taken alone on empty stomach, they don't seem to raise it. Most of the problems occur on a high sugar high salt. In fact I can use the salt to raise or reduce blood pressure. Salt + baking soda = causes loose stool, and reduce blood pressure. Salt + sugar = causes a stoppage of diarrhea and increase blood pressure. Two simple formula using salt with totally opposite results.

You should be greatly helped by taking zinc (zinc acetate), selenium (selenium yeasts), chromium and molybdenum supplements (lowers copper and thus normalizes zinc copper ratio). In some cases doing some iodine painting of foot will also raise the body's immune system to fight off your lymph problems.

Most important, that I must repeat: monitor your urinary pH every day and make sure it is alkaline. It is important that you avoid sugar, fructose, corn syrup, glucose, aspartame, etc. They cause the body's infection to be so much worse. Avoid all sweet fruits, especially pineapple, bananas, orange, etc. They fuel swollen lymph glands. It is important to take plenty of zinc supplements 25/mg per day for at least a month."

Wildcard from Mineral Point, Wi replies: "Seems to be some confusion here. Baking soda is quite "basic" [pH well over 7]; apple cider vinegar/acetic acid is definitely acidic [pH well under 7.0]. Which is it, or both, or more likely - without more than anecdotal evidence - neither?"
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED]  08/21/2010: Jake L from Fort Smith, Arkansas replies: "I did Teds remedy for swollen Lymph Nodes, and had relief by the next day, I did 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt AND Baking soda. Mine was a lower lymph node and was so swollen and hurting so bad I thought I had a hernia, thank god I didn't. And thanks Ted. I can see myself being 100% in a few days."
11/22/2010: Aaron from Minneapolis, Mn Usa replies: "Ted,
I tried 1 tsp of kosher salt and baking soda in one 8 ounce glass of water and it was followed by the worst diarrhea I've ever had in my life. Is this what is meant by "loose stool?" Is this a good thing?"
11/23/2010: Mmsg from Somewhere, Europe replies: "Kosher salt is NOT sea salt! (as far as I know)and your amounts are way too much. Start much much less."
11/28/2010: Aaron from Minneapolis, Mn replies: "The amounts are exactly as Ted posted, for Ted's Remedy. And I'm aware Kosher salt isn't Sea Salt, I didn't need you to tell me that Mmsg. I'm assuming now that the symptoms I had after taking the remedy are a good thing. I'm just curious why this would help with Lymph swelling."
01/26/2011: Mary from Austin, Tx replies: "ACV Rocks! Been having a sore throat for last 3 days and as of yesterday, I was unable to swallow without feeling tender around my lymph nodes. That being said, did a search on home remedies for swollen nodes/glands and came across this article. I took a shot.

1. First chewed on raw ginger which I could immediately feel the heat/spice doing its job to reduce inflammation

2. Took 2 TBSP of ACV in 4-6 oz of water and drank that... Within 15 minutes, my glands weren't as swollen

This morning, I repeated the process and less than 24 hours later, no more swollen glands... Will problly repeat as needed but ACV Rocks!"

04/16/2011: George from Melbourne, Australia replies: "I have a swollen lymph node next to my clavicle... I had a ultrasound and it's come back as reactive and they think it's related to an infection... I am taking antibiotics but what can I do to reduce the size of my lymph node....."
04/16/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "George you can go to a health shop and get some vitamin C powder (calcium abscorbate) and take at least 1 teaspoon in say fresh lemon juice or pineapple every hour. You can take as much Vitamin C as it takes until you get a loose bowel movement. If you have an infection you get take a lot before this happens. Google Doctoryourself. com and type in Vitamin C."
06/29/2011: Whitney from Lincoln, Nebraska, Usa replies: "I have tried many remedies to cure my sore throat/swollen lymph nodes. Drinking hot tea. Gargling salt water. Drinking apple cidar vinegar. And I've even done the baking soda salt. But nothing seems to be working. It's been over a week, and I am still in much pain. Is there anything else you can suggest. I'd like to get rid of this as fast as possible. My job requires me to talk to people all day, and it's hard to do my job when it's such a strain to talk, and very painful might I add. Any suggestions will be much appreciated! Thanks!!"
09/21/2011: Sharon from Wesley Chapel, Fl replies: "l suffered from sore throat many years due to chronic sinus and sinus drip. I researched and found that if you take lysine 500 mg at the beginning of it, when your throat is slightly itchy, and take a 500 mg tablet every hour til bedtime, it is gone the next day. (about 8-10 tablets) lf you have had a sore throat for a couple of days, you can relieve it using this hourly dose, and you will probably use a whole bottle gettting rid of it at this late date, but lysine is water soluble. L once woke up with strep throat. Once you have had it you well know the knives in the throat feeling. L immediately started with 1000 mg lysine plus 1000 mg vit c tablet every hour with as much water as you can. l was 80% improved the next day, and continued with this "natural antibiotic" and lots of rest until it was gone in 3 days."
09/23/2011: Kazza from Cambridge, England replies: "Hi there, I have great concern for my little 7 month old boy, as he has had a swollen lymph node for 4 weeks, maybe more. I'm not sure if it's one which measures approx 1cm x 1. 5cms, or if it's two very close together, I think it's a Cervical node towards the back of his neck area.

I need to try and check the alkalinity of his urine, but it's difficult when mostly soaked up by a nappy, but in order to make his body more alkaline, I'm not sure what is safe for a 7 month old, as there just isn't a great deal of information available. He does suffer slightly from Eczema on his face and arms in the main, but it's controlled by organic creams and steroid creams whenever it gets worse. The docs believe this is why his gland is swollen, but surely it shouldn't have remained swollen for this amount of time! Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, at the moment, I'm so concerned for him....Thanks"

11/28/2011: Andoy from Boise, Id replies: "If you have no response, suggest you go to www.sicknesshope.com and search the site, and then ask Moreless for suggestion."
12/07/2011: J T from Melbourne, Australia replies: "Hello there.. I have just started taking AC V for my swollen neck lymph nodes I feel so much more energy today where as for the past 5 weeks I've been going around like a zombie!! I had a CT scan so I am clear of anything serious thanks to God.... I really think the ACV is working- the nodes are still inflamed but I believe it will reduce and the discomfort has gone by 80 percent overnight I pray they go away sometime soon- thank you everyone on this page for helping with all the excellent info about A C Vinegar.. I'm also a great believer in Calcium ascorbate Vit C... it works well to reduce severities of flus and colds etc.

But seriously, keep sending your feedback (that was a good one you sent, actually). That's the true purpose of this site, and not learning english grammar (most people in this planet don't even have english as a first language anyway, like myself).

As a former journalist I am very sensitive to the written word but I have never had complaints about the way people write on this site. And... Keep in mind that some mistakes are due to poor typing as well, as in my case, as I type very fast I sometimes to press the wrong key and often I don't have the time to proof read what I write. One thing, is the spel checker still working? I say this because it always tells me that I wrote no mistakes which I find a bit unusual. My English is quite good... not perfect...."

05/08/2011: Elly from Topeka, Kansas replies: "People ought to respect the site and do their best to use good grammar and punctuation but since English isn't everyone's first language and many people are limited on time, we shouldn't be anal about it either. A suggestion I have is for the site moderator to remove controversy stirring portions of posts so we don't have a lot of outraged posts to follow. Lets keep this site positive and focused on folk remedies. I came here because many other sites got weighed down in sideline drama and chitchat. Is it also possible for those who join this site to be able to have a profile here that allows us to accept friendship requests from other members here and then be able to send private messages to our accepted friends (for remedy chitchat)?"
05/08/2011: Debbie from Melbourne, Australia replies: "I think it is great that all nationalities/ages can use this site for relief from their ailments. Who cares if their grammar is not correct. Many people are too sick to worry about grammar. Says a lot about the people/person complaining."
05/09/2011: Francisca from Michelbach-le-bas, Alsace, France replies: "Having a profile seems a good idea to me. Even if you don't want to contact someone or have friends (I don't like that part because I lead quite a busy life so not having someone as a friend doesn't mean I don't value that person but might be seen as such, still I am always open to someone contacting me privately something I have done on some occasions). I think that it is nice to know the person's age, for example, as that explains some things, or to check whether we could be having the same, age related problem. Sometimes people mention their age, sometimes they don't. One thing I also like is people using their own names. This is not a controversial site, I think and anyway, who is going to know which Mary or John you are? I use my own name, anyway, I don't feel the need to hide behind some name I made up but I know this is an Internet fashion. Als maybe nice to know a little bit about the person but I understand many people wouldn't like it.

As far as censoring posts, I don't know. I feel people say what is in their minds, they don't mean to be nasty, but it is quite difficult to know what will go well with other people and what not. The person who commented on the grammar was being honest about what he or she felt and we were correct as well to react and say how we feel. I don't really believe in censorship other than when people are being abusive, here only to sell products... Although I don't mind someone introducing a product they believe in. By the way, the spell check is not working!"

05/09/2011: Andrea C from Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales replies: "Thanks Ellie x x x I just felt hurt for everyone that came here for help hun x Like I said I don't want to add to anyone's suffering, but I felt "correct your grammor?" may have upset people who live with chronic illnesses, or EC to be thier only hope forward's may have been very upset by such an insensitive remark, and made them afraid to seek the help they so urgently need. I didn't post it to start a thread war, I just did it on behalf of those who were hurt but may not have been able to exspress such a careless statement had put upset or fear into them sweet heart X I'm sure if it hadn't been me, it may have been someone else that would have bought up this issue, and now it's out in the open at least it gave people the courage to speak up, just the same as you have hun X God bless you Ellie, LOVE Andrea C X X X"
05/09/2011: Silxcite from New York, Ny Usa replies: "While I concur that the OP's remark about the accurate grammar was uncalled for, I disagree with Andrea's inital comments. I think she was taking it too far with the libelous remarks. I'm rather shocked by all the hostility that was directed at the OP. Though its' not to say that I'm siding OP, its that I feel that the matter could have been dealt with in a more constructive matter (such as implementing Elly's suggestions)"
05/26/2011: Eve from Davao City, Philippines replies: "Hi everyone. Just the same, everybody should be careful with what they say (write, in this case) and not be critical especially upon people (in this case Andrea), who are just trying to be of HELP for free, mind you. Let's treat each other with love, this is often difficult but we can try. God bless us all."
06/06/2011: Happygal Was Right from Chandler, Az replies: "If you went to a pharmacy to buy medicine and found a bottle that had bad grammar on the label, would you buy it? Probably not. That's the only point Happygal was making. She was saying that she wanted to trust and utilize this site, but was, at first, discouraged by what she read. It was constructive criticism."
09/01/2011: Fenchurch from West Palm Beach, Fl replies: "Woah guys, let's chill out, huh? I understand you completely, Happygal- if the advice isn't well-written, how do we know we can trust it? Advice from the uneducated may as well be no advice at all.

That being said, I'm certainly buying some Apple Cider Vinegar today! Thanks for the recommendation!"
09/06/2011: Shan from Adelaide, Australia replies: "I think there is an essence of truth in happygals comment, to try for ultimate clarity when posting our remedies. Happygal perhaps could have in hindsight worded it as a kindly request not as an order however. There has been a lot of wasted energy in being angry with her since then... lets focus on helping one another, we are all on this site for the same reason, to heal, we just have different ways of expressing ourselves."
10/22/2011: Doddie from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Usa replies: "Yes, clarity is important. For example the borax and boric acid mishap.... A few missing, misspelled or added words can make a difference in understanding the protocol. That is why we need to check and double check other posts and get a real understanding or what we are doing before we attempt any treatment. Some may not have as much time as others. And when you are dead sick it is hard to type or even think. We are told to use caution and we must do that! I always look up several of Ted's remedies on a topic and then the success stories!"

I know it might be because I'm not making myself eat but every time I do eat it feels as if my gland is going to explode, I really hope this works, thank you for the hope of cure [:"

This morning I already notice significant improvement, I can sit Indian style and don't notice any tenderness. I am truly amazed!"

EC: From Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbonated_water

"Carbonated water, also known as soda water, can be produced in the home by "charging" a refillable seltzer bottle by filling it with water and then adding carbon dioxide. Club soda may be identical to plain carbonated water or it may contain a small amount of table salt, sodium citrate, sodium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium citrate, potassium sulfate, or disodium phosphate, depending on the bottler."

[YEA]  09/24/2009: Ariana Lozano from Sacramento, Ca writes: "Hi,

I am 28 years old, and this summer I had my first experience w/ a swollen lymph node. I was told to drink hot tea w/ ginger root and a little pepper, and to gargle w/ warm salt water. While the tea was very soothing, there was no decrease in the swelling. After a few days of little improvement, I did some research and decided to try old faithful, Apple Cider Vinegar. They swelling in my throat decreased by half w/in minutes. Since then I have been reading about ACV and its helpful effects. The taste of it does not bother me at all, I love the tanginess, so I've never diluted it in water. I just take a shot out of the bottle. My question then, your website says to sip and not chug. Why? What difference does it make if I sip on it, or take it all at once? especially if I enjoy the taste. I am very curious. Thanks! Ariana"

Not knowing what to do I happened to see some ACV staring me in the face in my fridge and knowing it was good for anything, I took 2 Tbsp. in water. Within 5 minutes the swelling went down and by 15 minutes the pain and most of the swelling was gone. 2 days later, I am continuing to take it 3 times a day and it is much better. I suspect my body is still fighting off the infection. I was amazed."

I am using castor oil on his nodes, but need something to get his nodes reduced further. I have an herbal formula for lymph imporvement, but have seen no change in him. Would appreciate any additional information on the use of lemon and ACV. Again, worried it will make his system more acidic. Thanks."
10/27/2008: Dan from Buffalo, NY replies: "Apple Cider Vinegar, while acidic, signals for your body to make ph buffers to counteract the acidity. This has an outstanding alkalizing effect on the body. Another thing i have found that does this is spirulina, a blue/green freshwater algae, which also has many other nutritious qualities and health benefits.

I just got a swollen lymph node for the first time and I'm gonna have to go get some acv and spirulina. I happen to be out of both....and im fairly confident I wouldn't be in this predicament if I had been taking both regularly. I can only hope as it is extremely uncomfortable."

This of course is just my experience but wanted to share it since it was pretty profound for me and am still amazed.

Tracee you could try using the Apple Cider Vinegar for your swollen lymph nodes. I originally started to take it for my sinuses and by the next day of using it my lymph nodes were smaller by far. I have had swollen lymph nodes for as long as I can remember and have just come to be used to it so when I noticed them shrunk it was kinda weird. I cant believe that this ACV worked just from one day!! You have nothing to lose by trying it so all I can say is good luck if you decide to. Oh and as a side note my lymph nodes would swell any time I was doing some kind of detoxing. And like you they got worse when I stopped putting unhealthy things in my body mine being certain foods and alcohol. I believe that this is due to the extra toxins and things coming out at a faster rate and the lymph nodes job being one of filtering. When you detox and eat smarter it gives your body more power to do its job of riding itself of these toxins and unfortunately it works the lymph nodes extra hard. If you want to know how much of the ACV I was using it was only a table spoon for the first day then I decided to take about 3 by putting it in my water that I take to work which is about 3 or so liters. It actual quenches my thirst better and don't need to drink as much water as I used too. I think my problem was dry mouth that made me drink more and I think that was due to yeast. I'm still working on riding my body of yeast and parasites. This weekend I start the Paracleans so it should be interesting lol. Oh and another thing is that I stopped taking one of my medications I have had to take now for 4 years. This is all due to the ACV!! And I have many other things that have happened from the ACV but wont put it here since this is getting very long. God knew what he was doing when he gave us ACV.

Take care Tracee and the best of health to you!! Cher%uFFFDe in Canada."

[YEA]  01/16/2008: Skai from Jacksonville, U.S.A. replies: "My story is just like Tracee from Boise,Idaho. I have been put on many medications also.None of the worked. My doctor told me that I should just have it removed.I got it removed just the other day and I'm feeling great!"
[YEA]  12/23/2008: Justin from Seattle, WA replies: "This website and these ideas are wonderful for everyone.

ACV is really hard to drink, but, very worth it. It has been known to cure many ailments, including Acid Reflux disease.

I would add that my swollen glands do not respond well to food. The best thing, and seemingly the only thing that gets my glands to return to normal, is fasting from solid foods and drinking ACV Baking Soda etc, while the node is processing.

For some reason, sodium rich foods or anything solid just makes my lymphnode go crazy during these times... Does anyone know why that is?

But after time, it will return to normal.

Thank you for more and more input... This is very helpful!

PEACE"
[YEA]  12/22/2010: Gabriel from Modesto, California replies: "Have you heard of Electro Medicine? If there are any infections within the lymph nodes, you can use a device called the "Magnetic Pulser" sold by Sota Instruments. You pulse your lymph nodes with pulses from the pulser to kill infections. Also Research "Bob Beck" and Hulda Clark's Cure for all Diseases. I hope this helps like it helped me! Love and Light! "
01/19/2011: Danielle from Sacramento, Ca,usa replies: "To justin from seattle, Your lymph nodes could get swollen or enlarge after eating a certain food that could be an allergic reaction. If your body sees a particular food like milk, wheat etc as a foreign thing it will attack it and cause inflammation. I had the same problem. My doctor just told me I have overactive lymph nodes and any allergen that comes in it attacks with full force. So I would just keep a diary of what you eat and see if any common food allergies trigger it."
10/19/2011: Funlovingal from Roseville, California replies: "Hi, I have turned to vegan for the last 6 weeks now. I am taking a homemade kefer probiotic daily and 2 oz of wheatgrass daily. I am trying to eat healthier and maintain good health. I'm not sickly or anything just wanted to eat right. Anyhow, I noticed about 4 or 5 days ago my groin lymph nodes on both sides are very very painful all the time. The only time they don't hurt is when I am asleep. Could this be from detoxing my body??? I read someone's blog about detoxing and swollen glands. Does anyone know more about this??"
11/30/2011: Wendy from Grand Rapids, Mi replies: "What is interesting about the post by Cherie above is that I also experience swollen glands when "detoxing" I'm not on a total cleanse, but am intermittent fasting and avoiding alcohol. The glands in my neck have swollen. It may be a coincidence, but there might be something interesting behind the scenes too. I'd love to know if this is related and if so, the logic behind it."

QUESTION

[QUESTION]  07/26/2009: Ziggy from Mississippi, MS writes: "I've read all the recommendations for taking down the swelling of a calcified lymph node and have a question: Many have written that using castor oil as a poultice helps to shrink the lymph node -- also taking ACV. Would it be safe and would it work to MIX the ACV with the castor oil and use that as a rub?? My mother is elderly and has a large calcified lymph node on her neck -- jawline and just in front of her ear. It is very hard and nothing has helped to take it down. If anyone has any information on this method. please send your comments to this site, and I will check back. Thanks so much!"

10/12/2011: Janice from Belden, Ms replies: "I have that same thing going on with me. Doctor seems as if I was crazy they can see the swelling. I have the same problem that your mother has. If you or your mother find anything that will help her or me with this problem, please let me know and I will do the same. God bless you both."
11/02/2011: Milla from Central, Nj, Usa replies: "Maybe you should try switching some of the fats in the diet to coconut oil and other sources of medium chain triglycerides. These might put less stress on the lymphatic system.

I have had problems with swelling in the past, and find that bitter diuretics, such as celery seed tea, help. Celery seed increases blood flow to the liver and thins the blood, so make sure it is ok with other medications. I am sure there are other good herbs, too. I haven't tried many of the more exotic ones (some are expensive, so I will exhaust the pantry first! ). Parsley helps (I cannot eat it raw, so I saute it in a little good butter and scramble an egg),

Raw apple cider vinegar works really well - but sometimes you have to wait a few days.

This fall, after doing a lot of research on food history, I have started making oatmeal brose. This is a traditional scottish beverage, but does not seem to be drunk much in modern times. I find it to be very soothing and slightly diuretic. I pour 1 quart of boiling water over 1/2 cp of good oats. After it cools, it becomes almost syrupy (almost the consistency of aloe juice). The oats swell up a lot, but you can squeeze them in a cheesecloth to get all the liquid. Maybe it is because I am not eating the roughage with it, but this has a very different effect on me than just eating oatmeal porridge. It also might be more acceptable to your mother than some other concoctions, as its flavor is quite pleasant. It seems to reduce tissue and lymph node swelling. I have never seen this elsewhere, so I would be interested in seeing if others have experience with it. It shouldn't have any interactions with medications.

Maybe you could reheat it with some anti-inflammatory herbs, such as cinnamon or ginger.

I never use chlorinated water; it exacerbates all the bad things. If your mother is drinking and showering or bathing in chlorinated water, you should try to get a filter installed.

Maybe a natural source of fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K2 would also help.

I hope that your mother improves."

[YEA]  10/25/2008: l from Sandusky, Ohio writes: "My daughter was diagnosed with Lymphatic Malformation or Cystic Hygroma, (A large growth or swollen mass just under the skin in the neck/throat area), when she was born. It was alarming to say the least. It is a congenital birth defect, and it has to do with a defect in the venous system or Lymph system. The cyst are filled with Lymph fluid. It's also very unpredictable, and a cyst can swell up or go down at any time, and new cysts can appear at any time. The cysts can get very large, and cause deformities in the face and other parts of the body, and obstruct breathing. There is no known cure, except surgery and a drug that can be injected directly into the cyst called OK-432. Usually when the child gets sick or has an infection anywhere in the body, they swell up, or new ones appear. My daughter is two now. About 2 months ago, she developed a new cyst on the other side of her face/neck. I freaked out. I'm not to keen on doctors, because of what they put her through when she was born, and (No money, or a car), I'm always searching for an alternative cure.

I've had extremely good results with Castor Oil. I'm a big believer in this stuff. I buy big bottles of it at a time, it's great. I use it, whenever I have a problem. Edgar Cacey was a Christian, and always gave credit where credit was do, to God, and he felt motivated by him. There have been many, many documented reports over the decades of Castor oil really helping a lot of people for a wide spectrum of ailments. I put her on Castor oil packs about 4 times a week for two months, and the cyst went WAY down, and has stayed that way for a while now. Now, I'm not 100% sure that was what worked for her, but we seem to notice it beginning to shrink and a response from her as soon as we started her on the packs.

The packs are messy, and it's not easy to get a child to hold still for a pack on their abdominal area. So, I used an old throw away shirt, and safety pins. I safety pinned the saturated flannel section on the inside of the front of the shirt to cover her stomach, and generously massaged a large amount of the oil all over her cysts on her neck and throat. I did this regime at night, and in the morning gave her a bath or a shower. The heating pad is not really necessary, but helps, a lot. I did not do a heat source on her, because she is so young, she would never sit still for it. The first few nights, she was restless, and agitated, and was running a mild fever. Then in the morning, the fever would break. We noticed it getting smaller from than on. It really seemed to help her those packs. She seem to have a lot of energy and be in a good mood, the mornings after the packs. If and when this happens again, I'll try the packs again. Castor oil is great. Hope this helps her. Like Cacey said, Do the packs along with a prayer for healing."

I placed castor oil on the area and placed a flannel rag over it and a heat pad. This morning my lymph was still slightly swollen, but after a bath of epson salts, baking soda, and apple cider vinegar as well as eating miso soup (a very alkalizing food) I feel 100% better. I had been sick with a cold for about two weeks and these remedies seemed to cure that as well. I think it is also important to note that these remedies work really well when you have a frame of mind that supports curing yourself, by re-focusing on the things that give you joy and the things that you love, can only help you be more grateful and less focused on the thoughts that created this illness to begin with.
