What Is Kidney Disease?
The kidneys are two organs situated on either side of the spin at mid-back and above the waist. These organs function to purify the blood, remove excess fluid, balance the salt and minerals in the blood and normalize blood pressure. However, the kidneys can become damaged due to diet, life choices and disease, causing waste products and fluid to build up in the body. The result of this damage can be kidney disease. Also called kidney failure, kidney disease is characterized by the kidneys’ inability to function properly. At advanced stages, dangerous levels of fluid and toxins build up in the body.
Kidney disease is broken into five stages, progressing from the least damage to the most numerically. Even so, stage 3 kidney disease life expectancy is still very good as long as proper treatment is sought. Stage 3 involves moderate damage to the kidneys that can be managed well with proper care and treatment.
In addition with the progression of the stages of kidney disease, the kidney disease symptoms also progress and develop. Common kidney disease symptoms and signs include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, weakness, trouble sleeping, changes in urine output and decreased mental sharpness. Additional symptoms include muscle twitches, cramps, hiccups, swelling of the feet and ankles, persistent itching, chest pain, shortness of breath and high blood pressure.
Kidney disease is caused by a disease or condition that impairs the kidneys function. Several factors may contribute to the development of kidney disease include type 1 or type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, inflammation in the kidney, polycystic kidney disease, a prolonged obstruction of the urinary tract, vesicoureteral reflux and recurrent kidney infection.
Home Remedies for Treating Kidney Disease
Kidney disease is considered a progressive disease that develops over time, particularly if necessary treatment is not followed. Treatment at any stage is important. Several home remedies can help manage symptoms and prevent further development of disease including apple cider vinegar detoxifying and baking soda for alkalizing the body. Additional treatments include Arabic gum, castor oil, cayenne and juicing with such combinations as celery, cucumbers and apples. Continue reading below for indepth treatment protocols for treating kidney disease, including those from Ted from Bangkok, Thailand.

04/06/2012: Bill from Philippines, Luzon: "Hi Everyone... One fact that seems to scream out from the research regarding kidney problems is that a major cause for this condition is because the body is already far to acid, resulting in dangerous erosion and damage to the kidneys themselves caused by the acidity in the blood. Ted from Bangkok has said this time and time again on EC.
Kidney disease and high body acidity also means that the body will have great problems digesting acid foods like raw Apple Cider Vinegar(acetic acd, malic acid) and citrus fruits(citric acid) which are normally beneficial to people whose bodies are not so acidic and who have sufficient stores to neutralize the citric acid to citrates and acetic acid to acetates. Ingesting these raw acid foods -- when the body is already so acidic and body bicarbonate stores so lacking -- are not beneficial to the body because in people with already acidic bodies and in order for these ingested acids to be converted to useful alkaline salts, these acids must first be neutralized by our bicarbonate stores during digestion. Excess blood acidity caused by a bad acid diet and a resulting lack of bicarbonate stores is what damages and erodes the kidneys. So if you have kidney problems then this essentially means that your body's bicarbonate and citrate stores are heavily depleted and also means that you are eating way too many acid foods -- so you cannot efficiently neutralize these damaging acids in the blood or within the cells themselves.
Therefore the common sense approach would simply be just to take Ted's Alkalizing Remedies to increase bicarbonate stores(alkalize the blood) and citrates (to alkalize the intracellular environment) within the body. From the research, bicarbonates and citrates are particularly useful for the kidneys in this respect.
So for some people to advise, as I have already read on EC, taking acidic foods like raw ACV and citrus fruits when someone is suffering from kidney disease caused by a lack of bicarbonate alkali in an already acidic body would seem to be absolutely crazy and completely the wrong advice.
06/14/2012: Meenu from Vancouver, Bc replies: "It seems to confirm my doubts as I'm those rare ones on whom Apple Cider Vinegar did not work rather it sent my Blood pressure through the roof and I had to be put on medication after hospitalisation. My cholestrol is high too, though I generally eat healthy.
Can u please guide me on the kind of foods to avoid n to have with HBP n Cholesterol n early menopause at age 38. Since then I've been downhill.
Even if I take lime/lemon everyday but it constipates me severely. I'm scared to try Baking soda becoz of the sodium.
What kind of supplements/diet would help? I look forward to your guidence.
thank you-thank you soo much. Meenu"
07/22/2012: Jun from Cebu, Philippines replies: "Can we buy only the bicarbonate without the sodium?"
10/01/2012: Saoirse from Cotacachi, Ecuador replies: "I have read on numerous occasions over the years that acids such as ACV and lemons turn alkaline in the digestive system. I think that is why they are generally recommended on alkaline diets."
11/28/2012: Ian from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia replies: "A daily dose of bicarbonate soda could stop kidney disease and dialysis. I was told that I was at stage 3 in my kidney disease and eventually I would have to go on dialysis. The University Hospital in London had done some trial tests whereby taking a daily dose of bicarbonate soda could prevent the development of the disease. So, I had nothing to lose and took a teaspoon of bicarbonate soda with a glass of water twice a day. My tests came back and there has been no progression of the disease - hopefully it is in check, but the results look good.
On a second note, I have taken coca-cola with asparagus and on the last two occasions my kidney stones have disappeared. So, when it comes to my kidneys - the future is looking a little brighter - if I can help anyone in anyway, please contact me at my email address iain48(at)yahoo.com. Cheers, Ian"
01/05/2013: Lucena from Dubai, Uae replies: "Hi Ian.. I would like to know the progress of your kidney treatment using bicarbonate of soda daily. thank you."
12/22/2012: Pecmkr from Essex Junction, Vermont: "I just want to thank Ted for the good work he is doing here. I took Zithromax for pnemonia and it hurt my left kidney bad. I discontinued after the first dose, but pain for three weeks following first two pills. I have been working hard to heal this, but the spleen began to hurt as well. After this the liver and or gallbladder were off too.
I was able to read through this site and see advice that Ted gave to others. Based on my own research I can say that Ted is more than brilliant. I am certain that his advice has helped me and many others. The doctors do not know how to heal kidneys. Its a very difficult task, but doing the right things certainly help. I had no time to waste with this either."
09/14/2011: Trinity123 from Garland, Texas, Usa: "I have read some very promising stuff about apple cider vinegar healing some on dialysis. I know it is rare, but I believe I can and will experience renal recovery. What I read is correct. The doctors and nurses will not give you any suggestions to get off dialysis, but for one they want to give false hope. But the main reason is that they will lose their INCOME if more people experienced renal recovery. One person said she didn't drink the vinegar, but laid in it every night and got "healed" in 9 months. What do you think about the vinegar?"Replies
07/11/2012: Willie from Lexington, Mississippi replies: "I'm a dialysis pt. if more people would get together and pray and beleive we all can be heal thats the word, i like to get with a group of people and talk to each other katiewilliams360(at)yahoo.com"
03/20/2014: Lois from Texas replies: "I agree with the previous peson about the prayer. We are Gods children and we are accepting less than He has for us. I go to the dr tomorrow. to get the news. I am believing I am healed. God still performs miracles. I am a recipient of many healing miracles. If anyone wants to email me and be prayer partners, my email is email@example.com. God Bless Lois"
09/10/2009: Roy from Ocala, Florida: "I'm 86 and have High Blood Pressure and chronic kidney disease. I want to take ACV for detox and HBP, but ACV is high in potassium, which I've been told to limit. My kidney disease is in the early stage, but I'd like to know if ACV should be avoided? Thanks, Roy"Replies
09/02/2010: Pamela from Cowra, Nsw Australia replies: "I have Stage 3 CKD and monitor protein, phosphorus, potassium and sodium. I tend to eat any amount of potassium and only get to about 1/3rd of my daily allowance. Find out your intake numbers and allowances from your dietician. Give up something else if you have to and try ACV."
07/28/2012: Ashish from Shimla (india), India replies: "I am patient of high blood pressure for last 5 yrs & now my Creatinin levels are raised to 2.8 , Urea 86. Uric acid 10 , so should I take ACV if yes what should be dose? frequency etc.... Plz guide"
08/28/2012: Jabed from Chittagong, Bangladesh replies: "I have ckd stage 4 with HCV. My potassium level is 4.70. What wiill be your suggestion? Jabed"
03/23/2013: Wayne from Floral City, Fl replies: "I am on dialysis 6 mos now. Suffering greatly... Headaches, nausea, cramping.... I still urinate but not enough stage 5... any suggestions???"
03/23/2013: Kathy from the USA replies: "Blackstrap Molasses fights cancer and will increase urination. I'm sorry I cannot recommend a therapeutic amount. Maybe start with one TBSP in warm water or 2% milk before going to bed. Someone else posted taking 3 tsp throughout the day but at this stage I would think starting at a larger dose first would help. I take either/or, depending on my urine flow. I read that therapeutic amounts of B-Complex also fights cancer but you have to be careful of the binders and fillers."
03/23/2013: Wayne from Floral City, Fl replies: "I believe the connective tissue from the bladder to the kidney which has blood vessels 10,000 times smaller than the hair on your head becomes clogged; especially with all the gmo franken foods.
i do not urinate enough to keep my fluid levels down; sometimes 5-6 liters after 2 days. i want so desperately to get off this witchcraft / sorcery (revelation 18:23) search the meaning of sorcery=pharma...! so; does anyone have any proof of a viable solution? if so; please notify me. thanks, messiah bless. WAYNE"
03/23/2013: Kathy from the USA replies: "WOW, I didn't mean to step on your toes. I totally agree that ALL of our food is genetically modified in one way or the other. None of our food is safe. It is no longer the way God created it. My kidneys were shutting down on me. I read something somewhere (that I will try to find) about Blackstrap Molasses and I tried it. It helped me. The majority of food and supplements in the health food stores is bad for you BUT I get the unsulphered BSM at the health food store and the "Real Salt" sea salt. It is the flowing/anti-caking agent in what is acceptable as table salt that is the culprit to many ailments and could be what contributes to your difficulty. This has been a piecemeal learning endeavor for over twenty years. I'm only trying to share what was wrong with me and what helped."
03/23/2013: Kathy from the USA replies: "Potassium "stimulates the kidneys to eliminate poisonous body wastes" (Nutrition Almanac, Third Edition). All of our food that contains potassium has been engineered to last longer (Food, Inc.). Maybe you have eaten too many foods trying to get healthy but have ingested too much potassium."
03/23/2013: Aliciua from Syracuse , Utah replies: "Read about Sodium Bicarbonate, maybe it can help you."
03/24/2013: Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa replies: "Wayne: To keep my kidneys functioning well, as periodically they don't, I take a half-spoon of D-Mannose and 3 Nature's Way Kidney/Bladder formula 2x day for a day or two with very good results.
In severe cases where one needs dialysis, the Kidneys need "rebuilding", which requires the use of the herb Comfrey. Added to the Comfrey, take Raw Kidney Glandular PLUS any nutritional products that are proven to stimulate Human Growth Hormone. Any of these three remedies alone would prove marginally effective, BUT combine them and you should see rapid rebuilding of the Kidneys."
08/28/2013: Dreamer from Planet Tellus replies: "Hey. I read about your message including usage of Comfrey herb and on this website is said that is can cause liver damage if used internally so how to use it improve kidney function ? Also what kind of Growth Hormone would be safe to use if low kidney function?"
08/30/2013: Timh from Ky, Usa replies: "@Dreamer: Comfrey is one of the greatest healing herbs on the planet, but some seeming evil stepped in and cursed it with the toxic alkaloid pyrrolizidine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyrrolizidine_alkaloid. The Comfrey root is said to contain more pyro than the leaf and every plant varies in toxicity so would need proceed with much caution. Nature’s Herbs? once marketed a non-toxic comfrey but they discontinued it; maybe someone still does, worth researching. I have read that boosting Glutathione levels and taking Milk Thistle helps prevent the toxicity.
There are many different supplements as well as a short fast and cardio exercise that boost HGH; I have posted info here on E.C."

04/02/2009: Miz from Sydney, Australia replies: "This is so important to NOT use ACV if you have chronic kidney issues and funation issues because it is too acidic and you need to stay away from all acids!! Im a homeopath and have had dialysis and know..so please take heed!!!"
08/08/2009: Annette from Cuy Falls, Ohio replies: "It is through research, and my understanding that apple cider vinegar (with the 'mother'), actually turns body chemistry ALKALAI (ANTI-DISEASE); NOT ACIDIC. PLEASE RESEARCH FOR YOUSELF."
01/24/2010: Timr from Dover, De replies: "I have read some really interesting information on ACV, but I have not seen if ACV is good to take if I have a kidney problem. Is this acidic or akaline? Will it raise my Ph? and assist in healing my kidneys? Thanks, T"
02/28/2010: Stacie from Whitehous Station, Nj replies: "If you want to get rid of a bladder or urinary tract infection DO NOT take antibiotics. Otherwise, the infection will just keep recurring. Use a capful of organic apple cider vinegar in water and drink throughout the day. This turns your body and pH alkaline. If your body is alkaline, then bacteria, viruses and fungi die. They ONLY live in an acidic environment. Do you know that people with cancer are ALL Acidic! This is the problem in this country. We are loaded with acidic foods and wonder why disease is so prevalent."
04/15/2010: Patty from Palmdale, Ca. replies: "Q: apple cider vinegar is said to be good for kidney disease, does that include all kidney related problems? My son is 6 years old and has nephrotic syndrome(scarring of the kidney's filters), will this remedy help him?"
04/22/2010: Vanya from Frankfort, In replies: "simmer a table spoonful with flax seeds in a 20 oz of water for about 5 minutes with a lid on, take of the stove (no microwaving) and leave the lid on for another 10 minutes, strain the seeds and give it to your son to drink that! Do not sweeten the tea, not even honey! This tea could be given 5-6 times a day, it cleans your kidneys out of any infections and the legumes from the flax seeds help with healing kidney damage. I personally cured my daughters right kidney when she was 7 years old with this simple remedy!"
06/15/2010: Kathy from Chatsworth, California replies: "I have a question for Vanya from Frankfort---How long did you use the flaxseed treatment? My elderly father has kidney disease and would love to try him on this as I don't think it would have any side effects, and is simple enough for him to do."
06/30/2011: Vanya from Frankfort, In replies: "flax seeds are absolutely good for you, and there will not be any side effects from them, you can use this remedy for as long as you like! Now if you are taking flax seed oil, then we are talking about high omega 3-6-9 and thining the blood, wich is helpful for other ailments, for kidney problems just brew the seeds and drink it, it gets a little thick but that is the good legumes that your kidneys need! Good luck!"
09/03/2011: Guest Daughter from Toronto, Ontario, canada replies: "Hi,
Please advise everyone, Could this treatment be used on cancer patient with impaired kidney function?
Thanks & Regards"
[YEA] 10/07/2011: Susan from Dallas, Tx/usa replies: "ACV is awesome and should be used sparingly to treat acid indigestion. Too much ACV will cause loss of potassium... I think I am I consuming a lot of ACV... Maybe 1 Tablespoon to 16oz... Maybe way too much. I had a bladder infection in May.. Anitbiotics cleared it up. Then I started to increase my ACV. Then a routine blood test detected abnormal proteins. The Dx is MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy undertemined signifigance. ) Probably NOT a big deal, many older people can get this and it is related to inflammation in the body (I have Fibro.. ) HOWEVER.. One of the ratios they look at is BUN:CREATININE. My ratios are high.. And have been since bladder infection. I take NO MEDS of any kind. My potassium levels are low, but low normal. At this time, I can only assume that I am drinking TOO MUCH of the ACV, flushing TOO MUCH of the POTASSIUM out of my body. That said, I do NOT want to stress out the kidneys and the filtration. MGUS has a 50/50 possiblity of progressing to Multiple Myeloma in 20 years.... AND... M. M. Causes stress on the kidneys... Who knew??
So is ACV awesome? Yes! Does it help short term? Yes! But anything in moderation."
04/05/2012: Ilyas from Toronto, Ontario replies: "Does flaxseed help heal the kidney? Please help...I'm on stage two."
08/05/2012: Ann from Paradise, Ca replies: "Hello, Just as a heads up, you should go to a urologist and have your kidneys really checked out well. BUN and Creatinine indicate a kidney under stress."
03/24/2013: Keertika from Baroda, Gujarat, India replies: "@Vanya from Frankfort: Flax seed should be raw or roasted? Which type of flax seed should I simmer in water and drink? And how many times a day? Will it have any side effects? I wanna cure my kidney."
05/07/2010: Jan from Rochester, Ny, Usa: "I am looking for information on reversing kidney damage and find ACV and baking soda combinations most often suggested. Can anyone explain how they are both appropriate, since one is an acid and one a base? Don't they cancel each other out? And if an acid (ACV) brings forth an alkalizing response in the body why doesn't the baking soda do the opposite and make the body more acidic?"Replies
06/14/2011: Nine3515 from San Antonio, Tx/usa replies: "My GFR has dropprd. I started with a 47, caught pneumonia, and now have levels at 28. Will the baking powder solution work?"
06/27/2012: Rafael from Riverview, Florida replies: "Apple Cider Vinegar does not make your stomach acidic but the contrary."
08/29/2013: Dreamer from Earth replies: "Hey. Why in many places it is said ACV to be bad for kidney disease cause of it's huge amount of potassium and here it is recommended? Kind regards: Dreamer"
11/27/2013: Benkatz from Odessa, Mo replies: "People with Renal failure need to know that the number one thing they need to do is stop eating their normal diet and sweat. If they eat sugars, gluten-containing foods regularly, excessive protein, etc, the problem will compound. Eat raw fruits or vegetables, drink kombucha or herbal teas. Food-induced acidity and toxin absorbsion through air, mouth or skin is the reason the kidneys are failing (unless dehydration is the culprit, and in that case-real water is needed, not tap or "filtered" water). Don't forget to relieve your kidneys of toxin removal duty a bit by exercising and going to a sauna, or just finding a way to sweat.
Also, if you have mercury amalgams, realize that kidneys are unable to remove the mercury without help (garlic, cilantro, chlorella). Either get the mercury out or pull the tooth, it might put years on one's life. ACV will help eliminate any pathenogenic by-products or bacteria, etc. and the bicarbonate will help restore blood alkalinity and help kidney function. Junk food and beverages are the real problem, so stop ingesting them!
A good idea would be to stop eating, take blackstrap molasses, ACV and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) in 1:30 intervals throughout the day. Your body will tell you which one it needs more of. If you crave it, you probably need it. For more severe cases, continue for 3+ days. Dialysis should be used when one won't give up food, but bicarbonate has been proven in studies to help kidney function, doctors probably don't care. They'd zip you up in a body bag early, literally, read about Roy Benivides, a Medal of Honor winner ( not that war should ever be supported, but it is a great illustration of the apathetical attitude taken on by some physicians).
Sodium bicarbonate does have a laxative effects, but if one's kidneys are failing, you need to be cleaned out anyway. Ph and toxin concentration are most significantly affected by the rotting animal carcasses in the bowels. We were designed to eat fruits, vegetables and herbs, forget all the high-protein hype.
Hot peppers should also help relieve water retention too, in some cases. Chilis, habaneros, cayenne, etc, should help in reducing edema as well as killing off unwanted bacteria that cause kidney infection, but this may only be the underlying problem for a minority of CKD sufferers.
Bottom line- observe your body's reactions and think logically, forget drugs and dialysis, you weren't meant to live like that. Clean out your body or machines are your only hope, because drugs kill after a while. Also, go outside and exercise. Pray to G-d, He may reveal a cure, like He did to Hezekiah."
07/28/2013: Susan from New York: "Per Ted's posts about arabic gum for treating kidney disease, does anyone know where to buy arabic gum in the USA?"Replies
01/04/2014: Ellen from Los Angeles replies: "Arabic gum can be bought at middleeastern import food stores. They will recognise it by the name Mastic or Mastiki gum. You could also try India food stores."
01/05/2014: Margarito from Uk replies: "How do you take gum Arabic? Thanks"
04/17/2014: Maria from Jordan replies: "All you do is take a few pieces of arabic gum and chew them. Nothing else is needed. The gum from Greece is best. The powder is not as good either."
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 06/23/2011: Dallas from Amesbury, Ma: "I have had kidney infection in both kidneys for at least 6 months. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of - except cranberry - I am allergic to that. But I have been doing blueberry. I have been on multiple rounds of different antibiotics - which worked while I was on them but the infection would always return within two days to a week after I finished the antibiotic. Two nights ago, I had the worst kidney pain yet. I had read on EC about using baking soda for kidney infection but was always afraid to try. But in the wee hours of the morning, I finally gave in and mixed 1/2 tsp. Baking soda in 8 oz. of water. I did not like the taste. The pain did not go away but I went to bed and slept very well. The kidney pain was still there in the morning and I did a dipstick test and sure enough, the infection was pretty bad - the urine looked the worst I have ever seen it, although there were no nitrites.
However, there was something in that urine I had never seen before - a small amount of sediment! I booked an appt. for a urine test at the dr's a few hours later. To my utter amazement, the dr's test came back negative! I still had the pain, but I attribute it to the fact that I am pretty sure I have yeast that affects my kidneys and this was detox. I have had that before when I soak my feet in hydrogen peroxide and water (1 cup H2O2 to a gal. of water).
As I write, it is the next morning and I still have mild but decreasing kidney pain, but the best part is, my urine is clear as can be and I have not seen such a good dipstick test when not on antibiotics, since I started the dipstick tests 6 months ago. I only took one drink of baking soda and water."Replies
11/24/2011: Fuzzball from Nanuet, Ny replies: "Have you tried Aloe Vera Juice? This works wonders for me. I had a lot of inflammation due to backed up kidneys. I drink 4oz three times daily and in just 1 month I lost 30 pounds and several inches all around the body. Also take 1 Dandelion root capsule twice daily. This really help get rid of the excess water. Drink plenty of water, at least 1 gallon daily. If you are having pains, that may not be fibro, but it could possibly your lymphatic system. Get a lymphatic massage. It's not too expensive and you'll feel much better after. Hope this helps."

04/25/2013: Leah from Philadelphia, Pa replies: "I saw this in the DMSO page and thought it should be posted here too. It seems DMSO can open blockages related to liver and renal failure.[YEA] 08/24/2012: Geralyn_d from Atlanta, Ga: "When I went into acute liver failure 4 years ago I was not told about ascites, they didn't really expect me to live and I turned down a place on the transplant list. I started eating raw vegan as it was the least reactive food I could stomach. One day I was dressing and noticed I looked like a water barrel! I weighed myself and had gained 8 pounds in a couple of days... I was going out of town the next day and used the only thing I know of that quickly removes excess water... DMSO.
I spread 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of 99% DMSO on a baby wipe... Then wiped from breast line to just past the groin where lymph glands are (front and back)and over the next 12 hours I peed like a racehorse! It took 2 days but all the water build up disappeared. It has come back 5 times and I used it each time to success. I also added tissue salts for control of water in the body and liver support (nat mur /nat sulph).
Recently my sister was in the hospital when her chemo almost killed her (heart and liver issues). She gained 24 pounds in 5 days. I advised the DMSO cautiously thinking at least there they could deal with any reaction. Instead of a problem, she ended up flooding the measuring container a few times and lost the 24 pounds in a week. The Drs were very happy that the liver numbers quickly dropped to the normal range. We didn't share our diuretic free solution though. DMSO is a cheap and pretty safe way to get rid up water build up."
04/27/2013: Timh from Louisville, Ky, Usa replies: "Ironically, only moments prior to reading this post, I had been smelling a DMSO odor in my bed but I only use DMSO in the bath (and not so much as to cause body odor). When I closely investigated the situation, I found a large spot on my bed-sheet where the odor was emanating. I had (some time prior) accidentally dropped a Garlic Oil soft-gel in the bed and it burst. Which brings the conversation to this.
In his research for cancer cure, David W. Gregg, Ph. D. Found an erry resemblance of Garlic to DMSO (the odor is remarkably similar). "I find it very interesting to note the similarity between Diallyl Sulfide (Garlic ingredient) and Dimethylsulfide (DMSO)."
So, for those who find the DMSO route a little out-of-the-way or inconvenient, I would recommend triple strength Garlic Oil soft-gels. Gavin of New Zealand expressed the blood-thinning properties of Garlic, which coincides with the same reported for DMSO.
Also, do supplement MSM with the DMSO as they are redox partners (they interchange from one back to the other). As a side-note, I find Alpha Lipoic Acid also potentates the DMSO/MSM."

03/05/2012: Lloyd from Charlotte, Nc replies: "Normally, you take baking soda as follows: 1/4 teaspoon or up to 1/2 teaspoon in cup of water. Stir until liquid is clear and drink over a few minutes. Best on empty stomach if you are trying to alkalize your body versus just dealing with digestive issues.
Also can be taken with Apple Cider Vinegar. One tablespoon of ACV in half glass of water and then 1/4 to 1/2 in the water... Big fizz... after fizzing stops drink."

Anyhow it had progressed into kidney infection. They prescribed antibiotics , and I started drinking 1/4 tsp in half glass of water every other hour... and the pain was disapperaing! Plus a taking hot bath in 1 capful each of Eucalyptus and Sandlewood oil helped a lot too."
[YEA] 03/09/2008: Brooke from Montgomery, TX: "I have always used Castor Oil Packs to strengthen my liver and kidneys. The liver can grow itself back if you take the time to do it.
You get cold pressed castor oil, wool flannel, a heating pad and a piece of plastic - I use a garbage bag. There are sites online that will explain it in details.
I put the castor oil into a sealed container with the wool flannel and shake it up. You want the castor oil to be dripping from it slowly. I then put the container into the microwave for about 15 or 20 seconds - just to get it heated up. I then put a couple of towels onto my bed or couch and lay down on them. Then I take the wool flannel and put it on my stomach. If you are trying to heal the liver, put it a little bit more over your liver, if you are trying to heal the kidneys, put it over that area. Then I put the garbage bag onto the flannel and then the heating pad - all the way on high (or as high as you can handle). Leave it on for at least one hour and meditate on what you are trying to achieve. After you are finished, wipe yourself off with a mixture of Baking soda and water to get your skin back to the proper ph.
Do this for 4-5 days on and then leave off for the remaining days.
The is a good book called Edgar Cayce and the Palma Christi. It tells of all the wonderful things that Castor Oil (the Palma Christi) does!"

12/05/2010: Brooke from Montgomery, Tx, Usa replies: "Ken,
I have never had a problem with my kidneys, so I am hopefully thinking this is due to my using the Castor Oil packs! However, I use to treat a woman in Houston and she was going to dialysis, I did a few different treatments on her, and one of them was Castor Oil packs. Her numbers were dramatically decreased. I had her change her diet, use the Castor oil packs and I did Body Alignment Technique. Her numbers decreased by the third time."

[YEA] 02/01/2009: Cheryl from Bakersfield, California: "Kidney help
Years ago, in 1998 my son was sent home from the hospital, on a friday, after one week, with a very swollen abdomen and swelling in his ankles. He has had a disease called Nephrotic Syndrome since he was fifteen, and he was then twenty-four. At that time he had been hospitalized over forty times for this awful disease. This hospital that had had him for a patient for nearly ten years, lost his medical file! So my son told this new doctor that when he is in a swollen state that Lasix in pill form will not make him urinate. He told him that the only treatment that would get the fluid off of him at that point was lasix given intraveinously. Well, the doctor refused and kept on trying to give him pills. When I told the patient advocate about the problem the doctor sent my son home the next day with about two gallons of excess water still inside him. He was unable to urinate more than an inch of urine that contained blood and pus. Well, I made him a bed on my couch and tried to make him as comfortable as I could. I knew that it would be nearly impossible to find a kidney specialist
on the week-end. So I went in my bedroom and closed the door and laid across my bed and cried and cried. And then I remembered something I had read in a little book titled: '10 Top Herbs to cure big diseases' It said that cayenne pepper unblocks any blockage! So I thought to myself it is worth a try. I looked in my kitchen cabinet and I had it in my spices. I thought I would put some in soup, and then I told myself 'No' because that is just more liquid in him he doesn't need right now. So I dumped out some big capsules and filled up four or five of them. I gave them to my son and within a four hour period he urinated three long times! After that his pills kicked in and began working! He remained in remission for about eight years but it always flares up when he gets a cold or flu, or under to much stress.
I hope this helps."Replies
03/05/2012: Lloyd from Charlotte, N.c. replies: "Your last statement about his situation when he gets a cold or under stress tells me that he could have an infection in the kidney area and when he gets a cold then the immune system that is producing antibodies is diverted; hence the kidney infection re asserts itself. Try colloidal silver.. The kind with high silver to water ratio. Find someone who makes it by the simple 27 volt method. Sometimes you get a very diluted kind in the health food stores. I have been given "specialty" silvers and tried it on sinus infection only to see the special silver did nothing to help me. When I reverted to the old stand by type of silver made with 27 volts, infection killed immediately. For your son, use the silver on empty stomach, for a week at least. A long standing infection might take even longer to knock out."
10/29/2012: Cl from Los Angeles, Ca replies: "Hi, I read your post on Colloidal Silver (CS) and kidney infection. You mention a certain kind of CS that is higher quality. Can you please tell me where to get it? I get the kind at the health food store. Is this okay? I do not have the tools to make my own, nor the energy as I am physically disabled. Would be most appreciative for your help.
[BETTER BUT NOT CURED] 01/05/2011: Jae from San Antonio, Tx: "Hi, from Tx. My husband has been on diaylsis for @ 5 years. IF YOU CAN STILL URINE, AND YOUR POTESSIUM is ok--try drinking coconut water after treatment. It will strengthen your blood, and give you energy. AS far as the Apple Cider Vinager--use an organic brand, not store brands. It has "mother's wort" and is brown in color. You can look up all its usages on the web. It's good for high blood, acid reflux, arthrtis, and weight loss. I also have recently began juicing--"celery and cucumbers w/apple"--it states "assists with kidney functions! " At this point--what can it hurt! I do know that his blood pressure has been normal 120/80 for 4 months! So something is working! Mostly, we pray and believe that God's word is true, and healing is available for all that can believe! God bless each of you is my prayer!"Replies

07/02/2008: Tan Koon Peng from Singapore: "Wonderful Corn Silk For Kidney Problems:
Corn silk has been used to treat various urinary disorders and is a diuretic.
It is effective in treating acute and chronic inflammation of the urinary system.
In Chinese medicine it is used as a treatment for water retention.
A sweet, soothing and cooling herb with diuretic properties, stimulates bile, helps prostatitis, enuresis in children, prevents the formation of stones in the kidneys, clears bladder and urinary tract infection, and lowers blood sugar levels.
Corn silk tea has a soothing effect on kidney, bladder and urinary problems, and can clear up pus, infection, burning or scalding urine. It will also soothe inflammation of the urinary passages due to gravel or kidney stones, and regulate the flow of urine (whether too much or too little), in cases of bladder drip and incontinence -inability of the bladder to hold urine-and urine retention or stoppage of urine. It seems to heal diseased areas of the kidneys, bladder and urinary passages and flush out uric acid, toxins and other poisons.
A simple way to prepare corn silk.Wash corn silk and put it in a cup, pour in boiling water and cover the lid. Wait for 15 minutes before drinking. Corn silk can be reused many times. Do not throw corn silk away after your first drink.
